WRONG DECISIONS

Disclaimer: The Cullen's, the Swans, and most of the characters mentioned in the story that are known from Stephanie Meyer's beloved Twilight Saga, are all hers and hers alone. I neither have nor wish to pass them off as mine. I do appreciate the fact that she did bring them to life and allows us to play with them in our imaginations. The only thing I will claim is the current storyline.

The awesome and talented dowlingnana searched out my errors and corrected them.

In the beginning I did try to keep track of her, but soon she seemed to have just dropped out of sight and off the face of the earth. At least, she did for a while and I wondered if our last time had produced results, but quickly let go of that idea as she released a new book during that period. I felt that that explained why she had disappeared from sight for a while.

CHAPTER 5: PLANS ARE MOVING FORWARD

KIDNAPPER'S POV

"Are you sure about this information as to who the parents are?"

"I'm positive."

"All right then, we need to plan carefully and make sure we use this to our family's total advantage."

"Believe me when I tell you that I was totally surprised when I saw them, his ex and those kids with her. There was no mistaking who the father was as you can see by the pictures; I have just shown to you."

"An opportunity like this rarely comes along, so, there is no way that I'm going to pass it up. We need to milk this for all that's its worth."

XXXXXX

BELLA

"Irina, I can't believe that Annabella and Anthony are at the age to start school." Bella told her friend tearfully as she was getting ready to go get the children registered to begin pre-K.

"I know. They're growing up so fast. It only seems like yesterday that you were in the hospital having them.

"But I do have concerns about you putting them into a public school instead of a private one. I just don't understand why you would make that kind of decision.

"It isn't like you can't afford a private school." Irina voiced her opinion.

"I don't want my children growing up thinking things should be given to them just because of what they have or who they are. By attending a public school, they will be learning the values of earning the things they want through normal work and effort through their association with their peers.

"But I'm afraid that by going to a private school they might learn that because they come from a privileged background that learning the value of earning and working for what they want will be bypassed with seeing how easily some of their peers would seem to get what they want just by it being handed to them for the asking without putting forth too much of an effort to achieve their goal.

"And, yes, Irina, I can see by the look on your face that you believe I'm making too much of the issues at this moment. However, I don't think that you can ever start too early to begin to teach your child proper work ethics and values of hard work to honorably achieve what you want in life.

"Charlie made sure that I learned the proper values and without expecting him to give me everything under the sun that I wanted.

"Don't get me wrong, he didn't make me do without, but I wasn't handed everything that I asked for or demanded either. I had to work for it to learn the value of what was necessary to achieve the objects and goals that I wanted. I want my children to learn the same lessons of life." Bella concluded her explanation, hoping that Irina would understand what she was trying to explain.

"I understand what you're saying, but I still think that you're taking unnecessary risks. And, that your expectations at their current age are a bit too much.

"The twins can learn the same thing in a private school while having the security they would need for not being discovered by anyone." Irina responded with a bit of skepticism in her voice showing how she feels about Bella's decision of where her children should go to school and the reasons why she made the decision.

"It has been five years since I last had anything to do with Edward Cullen. After all of this time no one even knows to associate me with him. I don't even use the Cullen name, so why should I feel that the children need the type of security that you are concerning yourself over?" Bella asked of her friend and employee.

"Bella, Edward doesn't know about the twins, but what makes you think that he isn't trying to find you to check up on you just to make sure that you've kept your mouth shut all this time about his family and his business practices?"

"Irina, I'm not concerned about Edward. If he was going to find and approach me at all it would have happened long ago. In fact, he would have discovered the twins during that time and wouldn't have hesitated one damn bit to make his demands where they were concerned.

"And it has been such a long time since Edward and I were together that I don't have any fear of anyone from his associates of recognizing me or discovering anything about me that could cause a threat to the twins or myself." Bella concluded and her tone of voice managed to convey the fact that she was getting annoyed with the continued conversation.

She felt that she had explained her decision enough and was getting a bit pissed off that Irina would continue to question her about it.

Irina was going to remark on what Bella had just said, but as she opened her mouth Bella raised her hand and told her, "No more. I've made my decision and that isn't up for further discussion. And, as much as I do value your advice as my friend, I still have to do what I feel or think is the right thing for my children, so please, let's drop the subject and get back to work.

"We need to get the necessary school supplies and their clothes bought. Do you want to go with me or not?" Bella asked as she was collecting her list of items in preparation for leaving.

She was wanting to get all of the shopping completed before picking the twins up from their daycare center. Bella had entered them into the daycare about a year ago to give them a chance to begin interacting with other children of their age group. She felt that by doing that it would begin developing their social skills better, but also get them over the shock of beginning school later.

Bella was always concerned with doing the right things for her children in both their personal and their social development. She wanted them to learn not just how to act at home, but in the public around their peers.

"Bella, I'm only going to bring one other item to your attention that you do need to take into consideration. At least I think so since I'm your friend and not just an employee. That subject is what or how are you going to explain to Annabella and Anthony the absence of their father? Being around other children, especially in a public school environment, they will see other children being picked up at times by both parents.

"I'm quite sure that this will cause the twins to begin questioning you about who and where their father is. Have you prepared your reply to those questions?" So, with that said Irina snorted and walked out of the room without answering Bella's question about if Irina was going shopping with her.

Bella shrugged her shoulders and continued to get ready to go do her shopping and then picking her children up from their daycare. She wasn't concerned at the moment about explaining to them about their father. As far as she thought, she had plenty of time to come up with the necessary answers when they were needed.

XXXXXX

IRINA

After walking away from Bella feeling upset because of how stubborn Bella was being about the twins' education. She had a bad feeling about putting them into a public school instead of a private one. Despite all of the reasons that she had given Bella about why her decision was incorrect, the woman still maintained that a public school would be better.

Irina knew that she would have to make another try to persuade Bella to change her mind, but to be realistic about the outcome was another matter. As well as she knew Bella, she knew that her friend and employer wasn't likely to budge one little bit unless a really good reason could be presented to change her mind.

The problem would be to come up with a damn good reason and at the moment Irina wasn't able to think of one. Perhaps, if she talked with Charlie, he might have a good suggestion or two on how she could handle getting Bella to change her mind.

XXXXXX

KIDNAPPER POV

Tapping a finger against his chin while he kept staring at the pictures that his brother had brought to him. He kept thinking to himself that this needed to be planned just right to get everyone's attention, especially the one person whose attention he definitely wanted, and to be able to demand and get all that they wanted that this opportunity could afford them.

After giving some thought to what needed to be done, he called his brother and another one o their men into his office. Once both were seated, he began speaking by explaining what he felt needed to be done. "I need for you to take Paul with you and show him where you saw this woman and her children. I want more pictures; pictures that don't just show me side views but full facials.

"Also, I need to have someone to check into her background just to confirm her and the children's identity.

"Once I have all of that information then I'll be ready to formulate a plan that will accomplish all that this family needs for it to do."

So, with that decided the two men left the office and set about doing what had been assigned to them.

XXXXXX

CHARLIE

Charlie absentmindedly reached for the phone that was incessantly ringing on his office desk. "Yeah?!" He asked in a demanding voice while he was still reading the report that he had on his desk.

"Hey, Chief, sorry to disturb you, but I need to discuss something with you that I feel is pressing and hopefully you can give me a suggestion or two that might help me to handle a situation with Bella."

At the sound of his daughter's name, Charlie stopped what he was doing to give his caller his complete attention. "What is the problem, Irina?" He quickly asked.

Irina quickly explains what she sees as the problem. She expresses the reasoning Bella used to make her decision and Irina explained why she thought private school was a better option.

"Irina, both of you have sound reasons for what you think would be the better choice, however, I'm going to have to go with Bella's choice. She is their mother and wouldn't do anything to put the twins in harm's way.

"Besides, let me ask you a question, what is the difference between putting the kids in private school compared to putting them in a public school when they're out in the public with you and Bella every time one of you take them out?

"You don't seem to consider them to be in any danger of detection during those times." Charlie questioned Irina, giving her some food for thought. And, of course, she had no comeback for what Charlie had just pointed out to her.

"Charlie, I just have a bad feeling about the kids being put into a public school. It isn't something that I can tell you why, it is just a feeling that won't go away." Irina told him and then thanked Charlie for listening to her.

"I don't want to tell you not to listen to your instincts, but until you have something more solid to go on, I'm only going to tell you to be cautious and pay attention to what is going on around you at all times. If something catches your attention, then give me a call immediately."

"Okay, thanks for listening." Irina said as she and Charlie hung up from each other.

"Hey, boss, you won't believe who I saw in Seattle while I was there?" Garrett said to Edward as he walked into the office to report to the Cullen's about his trip to Seattle.

In the meeting happened to be Carlisle, Edward, Emmett and Jasper. Edward was giving a report on how he was managing to convert another business over to the legal side of things.

With Garrett's interruption, Edward paused, and all four men turned to look at him as he entered and asked his question.

"Who did you see, man?" Emmett was the first to ask.

"I saw the ex-Mrs. Edward Cullen and she had two children with her."

That statement hit father, son and the two cousins in the gut.

AN: Bella and the twins have been seen by two different people. One reported back to an enemy and the other reported back to the ones that want Bella back. Also, what do you think of Bella wanting to put the twins into a public school instead of a private one?
