None of the Pokeparents let Alex or Jessy sleep alone that night with Alex finding himself being sandwiched between Jessy and Nina whilst Scorch and Fritz stalked the property that night, the next morning Alex overheard 2 topics in his half sleepy state before they tried to wake him up.
The first was the fate of the imp like pokemon that came to investigate what happened to their boss as well as the conversation with the police about the incident, with their nest tracked down they were given a warning to never enter the orchard again otherwise their nest would no longer be protected under the law considering the danger to both pokemon and human life.
The second was one that Alex felt curious about but didn't realize what it involved pretending to be asleep as Nina confirmed she would be taking him into town for it. After being 'woken up' and having breakfast getting a level of amusement annoying Nina by eating his bacon and toast by hand instead of the provided knife and fork, "you're doing it on purpose aren't you?" She asked getting a grin from Alex that was quickly shattered by Fritz giving Alex a kiss on the head followed by "he is just a baby, he has no idea how to use a knife and fork" before cackling.
"I DO!" Alex said in surprise and offence grabbing the utensils and finishing up, with Fritz and Nina winking to each other. After breakfast and getting dressed up in another bodyglove Alex found himself in the caravan once again going into town, the idea of going into town not using the underground areas felt surprisingly alien but enjoyed the idea of not having to climb into sewers.
"Ok so what torture am I about to go through?" Alex asked getting bored of listening to the radio in his prams seat, "it's not going to be torture Alex," Nina said organizing the duffle bag and diaper bag she brought with her "we are going into town to use the physio therapy pool in my hospital" she added leaning back satisfied.
"Therapy pool? Let me guess you hold me in water and I just kick about?" Alex asked getting a nod from Nina "we are part of a class other Pokeparents bring their little ones so we just do as the instructor says" Nina says with a smile, but it's safe to say in this instance what ever colour Alex had left in his face packed its bags and moved somewhere else at the thought of doing a group therapy.
"Darling you alright?" Nina said taking Alex out of his seat as the caravan came to a halt, "not a fan of this idea of doing it as a group" Alex said plainly as Nina stood rubbing his back "be a big boy for me Alex and give it a try if it does not work out il book private sessions" Nina cooed into Alex's ears. "Fine" Alex said folding his arms as he was strapped in the pram and the two disembarked.
The hospital from the outside was certainly not a work of art being a pre-revolution hospital/pokemon centre hybrid with more modern and colourful additions bolted onto the outside of the building, this was in contrast to the brick and mortar aesthetics of its core structure with a statue of a wiggilytuft, blissey and chansey holding up staffs against the wind.
The court yard out front that Alex found himself being pushed through was filled with laughter human families, pokemon families and those consisting of both stood, sat and played in the spring sun.
"I know it's beautiful isn't it?" Nina said with Alex feeling that there would be a smile on her face, "yea it's" he said a smile creeping onto his own face as they went inside. "Ah Doctor Trix you're here.. oh who's this little guy?" a hitmonlee leaning over his desk.
"Trevor this is Alex my old trainer now baby" Nina said reaching down rubbing Alex's cheek with a finger getting a grumble from the human, "aaaw he is adorable… oh you're expected down at the Physio thera-" Trevor started with Nina raising a hand "I know Trevor I made the appointment" She said with a small laugh though what ever she found funny went completely over Alex's head.
With a nod the receptionist waved the pair fair well as they went through the hospital with a nervous sigh coming from Alex's lips when they got to the physio out-patients, "if you're a good boy Alex I might buy you a toy" Nina said the promise of a toy whilst appealing Alex didn't give an answer as the door swung open for them to enter.
As they rolled through Alex couldn't help the idea that he was being watched with one side of his mind telling him he is just being paranoid, but the other saying that he is indeed being watched because being pushed in by their boss is going to draw attention. His argument with himself was broken by a human woman in her early 30s in a childish and girly nurses outfit bounded towards them her movements making both a metallic clicking noise and a crinkling noise, when she got closer Alex realized a diaper of an odd material was peaking out from under her skirt with on closer inspection her entire left arm was a mechanical prosthetic as violently pink as her uniform.
"MISS TRIX!" the girl said excitedly "LUCY! Don't just dash off ya dafty" came the call of a chansey in a nurses outfit that came waddling behind her wiggling a clipboard around, "good day doctor Trix" the chansey said giving a curtsy with Nina blushing whilst giving a tiny dismissive wave. "Please Riley you can just call me Nina" Nina said trying to dismiss her authority, "Yes Nina this way please" Riley said checking something off her list as the 4 went to a waiting room that stunk like chlorine.
"Just leave the pram here please and make sure you don't leave any valuables" Lucy said with a smile bouncing on her heels, "will do" Nina said back in a melodic playful tone picking up Alex and the bags. Unlike the rest of the corridor which had that same smooth hospital flooring this waiting room was tiled with chairs that were bolted to the floor, scanning around the room Alex saw quite a few different Pokeparents some alone with a human on their lap or with a partner entertaining their human with a toy.
Then it dawned on Alex "how long are we going to have to wait?" he asked looking up at Nina rather be doing something than just sitting around "Alrighty then" came the call of the chansey from earlier, "not long" Nina said patting his butt getting Alex to quieten down and bury his head into the soft fabric of her shirt.
"It's good to see you all at your first session, you can call me Riley or nurse either one is good" Riley said as Lucy bounced to her side, "and I am my mummys assistant" Lucy said excitedly "that you are so if any of the little ones are too nervous to talk to me you can talk to my little assistant, now do we have any questions?" Riley said both smiling to the whole room.
A male garchomp raise a hand with Riley nodding whilst pointing at him to speak, "yea if we didn't bring a swim diaper for our little one is one provided by the hospital?" he said as his human a man in his mid 20s with a missing right leg in simple short and shirt buried his head into his fathers chest.
Alex sympathised with the man as the chansey nodded in understanding "of course if you haven't brought any please feel free to take one from the dispenser with this coin" Riley said tossing a small silverish coin to the garchomp. "Anyone else need a coin?" she asked to the crowd tossing coins to 2 other Pokemon in the group, from what Alex could count he would say including himself there was about 12 humans total in the room.
"Right before we go change I want you to remember the pool rules," Riley said as Lucy lifted up a to Alex comically large sheet of plastic with the rules on them, "rule 1 no running, that goes for both humans and pokemon" Riley said pointing to the rule with Alex eye rolling knowing he wouldn't be able to do that.
"Rule 2," Lucy said as Rileys hand pointed to the second rule and most of the humans there other than Lucy and a couple others not including Alex shrunk back against their caregivers, "If you gotta go potty or think you have gone potty or if something is wrong tell your mummy or daddy right away" Lucy smiling widely with a level of enthusiasm that whilst admirable did not help the blush on the humans collective faces fade.
"And finally Rule 3 always stick to your parents, now follow me and lets all get dressed" Riley said opening the door to the changing rooms going inside with Lucy trailing behind, Alex thought it was not going to be so bad all he had to do was just copy movements if not let Nina puppet what was left of his legs and his arms for an hour.
That is when Alex saw the sign for the women's changing room and all ideas of normality go right out the window, "NOPE! NU UH! NOT GOING IN!" Alex said trying to climb over Nina's shoulder again but she was prepared putting a hand over his shoulder making movement impossible. "I am not allowed in the boys changing room baby boy just relax and I will make it quick" Nina said and Alex saw another male human giving him a salute for luck as he was taken into the women's changing room.
Being stripped of his compression socks, bodyglove and diaper was one thing if anything Alex had started to get used to it but he was on a changing table in a place that years ago when he attended trainers school amongst the travelling would have been a promised land for his classmates to spy on, with the rubber of the swim diaper around his crotch Alex tried to avoid the stares of the other humans which resulted in almost immediate failure.
"Hi whats your name?" Lucy asked as she was laid on the changing table across from Alex in the small booth, "don't be rude baby boy it's good to make friends" came the calm tones of Nina declaring Alex ready before taking her shirt off to put on her own swimming outfit. "Alex" he said quickly turning his head upon realizing Lucy was not wearing a bra, "it's ok mummy says I have not an ounce of shame in me" Lucy said in her cheery tone "her walking around the house naked is a serious problem" Riley said as Nina gave an understanding nod taking mental notes to keep an eye on Alex encase he started showing those sorts of behaviours.
Riley had already put on a full one piece swimming outfit and Lucy had her replacement arm removed showing a flat patch of skin with silvery dots where the end of a shoulder should be, "so are you ready to have so much fun?" Lucy asked as the top end of a bikini was wrapped onto her and Alex had 0 idea what to say other than "I guess?"
Upon looking straight up at Nina Alex saw the gardevoir had clad herself in a pink bikini ditching the skirt and plain green shirt she had on earlier, Alex had already mentally checked out when he looked up being nudged back to the forefront of his mind when Nina and Riley picked up their humans to make their way to the showers.
"H-hang on not comfortable" Alex whispered into Nina's ear as he felt a pressure building not in his bladder but in his diaper, "What's up baby boy? What's not comfy?" Nina quizzed poking at the diaper which in her mind was the only thing that could be, "yes please just don't move" Alex pleaded silently not liking the front of the blue swim diaper covered in Vaporeons being poked.
With a silent prayer to Arceus Alex pulled his hands inwards and down rearranging the diaper moving it left to right until the pressure on his penis was relieved going erect then letting the diaper settle over it into a more comfortable hug, "did you just-? Did you have-?" Nina asked eyes slightly wide partly out of alarm "the deck chair below needed rearranging, I am not an actual baby it can still be… folded out" Alex hurriedly said in a whisper with both nodding not to speak of it.
"Now from what I remember you hated the rain even before the revolution so put these on" Nina said handing Alex a pair of goggles letting him put on the goggles himself before entering the warm cascade of water, after a moment of being held under the shower the group reconvened by the pool side.
"one more thing baby it has been enough time this should be safe" Nina said reaching for the patch on Alex's right forearm, Alex braced for pain but it has grown damp and peeled off easily being tossed into a nearby bin with a splat. Inspecting his arm Alex saw the scar running down his forearm the skin had a stich pattern over the scar but from what Nina told him it was all good
Alex assumed that a hospital would keep the water cold but upon Nina lowering herself into the water floating on her back so Alex was in the water he was surprised to feel the water was warm, his joints felt like they were coming undone but not in a bad way as the group took to the water with Alex getting a front seat in the shallow end.
Each Pokeparent sat with their human either standing, leaning against them or like Alex sitting on their caregivers knee, "GOOD GOOD! EVERYONE READY!" Riley called out holding Lucy still in the water using psychic. Alex let out a noise that could only be described as a meep when Nina tipped him back for the first possision, "I am not going to puppet you, you have to resist against me" Nina whispered in his ear "gladly" Alex stated getting a smile.
It was a good 45 minutes of various easier exercises where he had to press his limbs against Nina's hands, chalking it up to not moving around for weeks or Nina not making it easy on him he felt his muscles burning. "Aaaand stop" Riley said with each Pokeparent scooping up their little one as Lucy is set lose, "we got spare time because you lot did so so well so to reward our little ones we got 15 minutes of free swim" Riley said and as she finished her sentence Lucy vanished from her side under the water pinching the bridge of her nose looking around for her human.
Keeping one eye on the blur of brown hair and pale skin that passed for Lucy occasionally coming up for air to play a game of catch with her mother Alex felt like it wouldn't be long until he had to interact with her again, "Hey whats up!" came the welcoming voice of the boy that both saluted him and needed the spare swim diaper.
He moved through the water propelling himself by using his single foot on the ground with his garchomp daddy providing support under his stomach, "um… hi?" Alex said giving a wave as the garchomp sat the boy on his knee "my names Nate my daddy is kinda making me socialize" he says looking back up at his garchomp. "That's a mood if I have ever heard one, I may not be able to see the future but I feel like I was about to be thrown into interacting with someone" Alex said plainly, "I wouldn't throw you… levitate maybe but not throw" Nina said with a small laugh "how about we stick them in a shallow bit they can sit in we can keep an eye on them" the garchomp said.
Before either human could lodge a complaint the two pokemon sped to the shallowest end with Alex being propped up butt on the floor with his head sticking out of the water, the two pokemon backed off doing as they said and were keeping an eye on the two.
"so…. How long have you been with your family" Nate said trying to make small talk "not even a full week and it's already an emotional rollercoaster" Alex said with a sigh, "Yea the expression on your face says a lot like you were hit with a train" Nate said then looked at Alex noticing the other was looking down in the water.
"Was it something I said?" Nate said snapping Alex's mind back into focus "uh.. tram" he blurted, "tram?" Nate asked quizzically with Alex tapping his fingers together "well I was hit with a tram not a train" Alex explained as the two stared at each other. "OH ARCEUS I AM SO SORRY!" Nate said a few seconds later with Alex raising his hands almost falling into the water calming Nate down "you didn't know dude plus any argument of you being an asshole has no leg to stand on" Alex joked nodding to Nate's remaining leg.
The two humans looked at each other for a while longer before bursting out into a laughing fit splashing water about as they attempted to steady themselves, "YEEE!" Lucy said coming out of the water like a rocket towards Nate and Alex. Whilst the two grabbed the bars on the pool side and shot off like bullets Lucy found herself floating in the air, "What have I told you young lady?" Riley said lowering the woman into the water in front of her.
"But mama I wanna play" Lucy said feeling dejected as Nina and the garchomp collected their kids, "I am so so sorry about her doctor Trix please don't fire me" Riley said with Nina looking stern until she felt Alex's chest heaving with more laughter. Nate joined in the laughter as the tension dissolved "THAT WAS FUN!" Alex managed to get out making even Alex wonder if he has gone insane.
"I guess my baby has spoken," Nina said her composure holding for only a few second before smiling "what's gotten you two in such a giggle fit?" she added poking Alex on the stomach only getting more laughter from him, "I MOVED SO FAST MAMA!" Alex said letting the words slip out of his mouth as if natural to his mind "yea we moved so fast like we couldn't before" Nate said and his daddy smiled as well.
"Thank you" Riley said with Nina looking down at her "just remember this Riley," Nina said and the Chansey leaned back expecting to be scolded, "you can just call me Nina now since I guess our kids are friends now" she said almost making Riley keel over. "What do you say about inviting these two around some time?" Nina asked patting Alex's padded rear, Alex nodded "sure it be good to have some interaction I guess" he said as his laughter died down.
After the group got out the pool the garchomp introduced himself as Francis Betwood a local dentist, numbers were exchanged and goodbyes were made as the group parted.
