Part I of a prequel series to Peeta's Games, based on The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. The Tribute encompasses Haymitch's Quarter Quell and the first few years of his time as a mentor. Events and elements from The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes are incorporated into the narrative. This work is highly speculative but, as much as possible, canon-compliant.

As the threat of a third rebellion looms nearer, the Capitol turns its eyes to the second ever mini quell, hoping that the game changing twist is enough to keep the country together. The 'Flower of Panem' or 'Angel of Mercy', Seraphine Reza is the jewel and pride of Panem. One of their most treasured victors in the history of the Hunger Games and a favorite of President Snow. While she smiles, comforts and plays her part every time the games start again, in her mind, her own game never ended. She keeps her enemies close and plays the part of the perfect victor.

Time Travel Mockingjay AU! The rebellion takes a new turn of events when future warriors enter the scene. How will they impact the other characters especially Katniss when she learns her and Peeta's future fate? Can she overcome obstacles to save the boy with the bread and accept her love for him? What's President Snow's connection to the League of Assassins?

A talking, happy-go-lucky giraffe swaps places with Effie just before the 74th Hunger Games, Freaky-Friday style. Oblivious to Panem's way of life, she unknowingly interferes with the Games' events, then busts 4 tributes out of the arena. With the authorities looking for them, the giraffe must now get the tributes to safety—but first she'll have to help them trust each other.

Effie Trinket, just another Capitol puppet. The Quarter Quell begins and it suddenly shows that Effie isn't as obsessed with the Capitol as it seemed. The revolution gets going and Effie, who came closer to Haymitch than she would have ever expected, has to figure out where her loyalties lie. And her time is running out.

Dusk befalls upon you and you patiently wait for the arrival of dawn. But little do you know, you may never live to see that dawn arrive, and instead, you will be thrust into a world of hidden secrets and a bewitching arena where only the best shall survive. Nightmares will be brought to life from dusk till dawn in a tranquil enchantment, and only 1 will survive. CLOSED SYOT
