Paige sat in the dining room of their house opening Walter's present after they returned home from dinner.
"Oh Walter, it's beautiful." Paige said as she finished unwrapping his gift. "I love the swirls and colors you've used and all the various pockets. It seems so random and yet meaningful at the same time." Paige told him before she took a moment and turned it around so everyone could see it.
Sean scratched his head as it didn't look any better than the first time he saw it when it was nothing but nails.
"It just looks like a collection of circles of color, some overlapping others. What is it?" Ralph finally asked.
"It's mathematical expressions of various numbers pertaining to Paige and Walter, including predictive algorithms and how they all intersect." Happy spoke up after glancing at it.
"Walter told you what it was?" Veronica asked as she looked stunned at her daughter.
Happy shook her head.
"Well he told us that it was going to be a mathematical expression. But Walter's all about Paige. So that puts some definition to it. See the two central circles? The slightly larger blue circle that is a little more centered? That represents Walter's birthdate. The slightly smaller light blue one that sits over it just off center a slight bit is Paige's birth date, offset for the almost year difference. The size is in accordance with their age. The even larger forest green one that takes up most of the room is Dad's birth date. The scarlet red one is Uncle Sean's birth date. The purple one is Megan's. Aunt Louise's is this midnight blue one. Mom, this pink one is yours. Mine is this yellow one." Happy told them as Walter smiled and nodded.
"Well what is this small orange one then?" Paige grinned at her sister.
"That's the day that the three of us formed Scorpion. See how it has tendrils that leave from it and form around all the others? That signifies how we're all part of the Cyclone, always connected and protected." Happy told her.
"Scorpion? What is Scorpion? And do you mean you, Walter and Paige?" Ralph asked.
"Scorpion is the name of our problem solving group. It defines us as a Cyclone." Happy nodded.
"This is so beautiful and thoughtful Walter, thank you." Paige grinned at Walter.
"You're welcome." Walter blushed and nodded as he kissed her.
"Well then what is this smaller cherry colored one?" Megan asked.
Happy stared at it for a moment.
"I'm not sure, but based on its position, it is in the future though so it has to be based off of a predictive algorithm. Someone who will join our cyclone around December 2005." Happy told them.
"What about these two, the small purple one intertwined with this small gold one?" Veronica asked.
"Those are future events as well. Both either happen at the same time or close enough that there is no distinction between them. Somewhere around February 2015." Happy told her.
"So as the creator of this masterpiece, do you care to enlighten us as to the nature of these future events?" Megan asked with a grin.
Walter just smiled.
"You know how my predictions don't always work out. And since this is using probabilities instead of empirical data it is pure speculation. Something to skeptically look forward to." Walter told them while blushing.
"That's okay Walter, I don't want to know anymore about it. It is so beautiful and thoughtful. I love it, almost as much as I love you." Paige told him before kissing him.
Paige stood up and grabbed Walter's hand as everyone was busy talking and looking everything over and she pulled him quickly around the corner of the room and down a hall to the closet and grabbed their jackets. She took him through the family room and quietly out the west side door. Walter assumed they were going to sit on the swing but as he turned to the swing Paige pulled against him and they took off around the west side of the house to the north end. Paige looked about and then she hurried them across the field to the north and then across the road before slipping behind the hill that blocked viewing the O'Brien farm from the Dineen home.
"Where are we going?" Walter asked even though he knew they were headed towards the farm.
"I want to go lay out in our spot and watch the sky with you. I've had enough family for now." Paige told him with a quick kiss.
They reached the barn and Walter grabbed the blankets before they moved on out following the path they always walked until they came to the creek. Walter put down the heavy blanket as Paige took off her shoes and her jacket. As Walter unfolded the other blanket Paige laid down and they smiled at each other as he covered her. Walter was quick to take his shoes and jacket off and then climbed under the blanket with her.
"This is more like the birthday I wanted." Paige said as she snuggled into his arms and they shared several passionate kisses.
As they separated after one kiss Paige grinned.
"So tell me now, what is the predictive cherry colored circle on my gift Walter?" Paige asked him.
Walter blushed.
"Well you understand there is no concrete evidence, it is all based on probabilities and predictive math, based on how we stand at this moment right?" Walter asked.
Paige nodded.
"Well the model predicts we'll have a child around December 2005." Walter told her.
Paige grinned and kissed him. She smiled as they broke the kiss and then she grew thoughtful.
"You know, while that wouldn't really bother me, I still want to get my degree, I wouldn't want a baby to keep me from getting it." Paige told him.
Walter nodded.
"While I'm not too concerned about a college degree, I want you to have what you want. I wouldn't want you to give up your dreams for a child. So I have no problem taking care of our baby while you go to college." Walter smiled.
Paige grinned and pulled him back in and kissed him deeply again. Paige pulled back and looked at him.
"So, is that small purple and gold circle another predictive child or children rather?" Paige asked.
Walter nodded.
"The model suggests we have twins in 2015." Walter told her.
Paige pulled him back against her grinning and kissed him passionately. Paige felt Walter pressing in further and she rolled more to her right onto her back. Walter followed along with her as they continued to kiss. Walter broke the kiss but his lips pressed firmly against her left cheek and kissed her down to her jawline and he followed it back to her ear. Walter kissed the tender flesh around the base of Paige's ear. Paige grinned as she pulled at the back of his shirt until it came out of his waistband. Her fingers began moving up inside of his shirt and under his t-shirt, her nails gently scratching along his flesh.
Walter moaned at the feeling and he began to lick and suck on her neck about an inch below her earlobe. Paige shivered at the feeling. And then she felt Walter's hand slip down from her shoulder and his hand squeezed her right breast through her shirt and bra. Paige grinned at the experience.
As Walter kissed and sucked around her neck, he moved across her throat to the right side of her neck and continued kissing, licking and sucking. Walter's hand moved down and slid under Paige's shirt and she grinned feeling the flesh of his hand touching her stomach and then his hand was covering her right breast with just the bra between their flesh.
Walter's eyes opened as he realized what he felt and he looked a bit scared as he tried to sit back. Paige shook her head and pulled him tightly down against her.
"Don't stop just yet Walter. This feels so amazing." Paige whispered into his ear before she kissed him passionately.
Megan sat there as Happy demonstrated the braces she was working on to help Megan when the MS would flare up.
"It started as my science project, a new robot design. When you had your previous MS attack it dawned on me that my robot tech could be adapted to serve as assistance for you." Happy told her as she showed her the arm brace. "You see these sensors, they are placed against your neck right here." Happy told her as she touched Megan's neck.
"They'll pick up the signals from your brain to your body. This belt contains the brains and batteries of the braces. Thanks to Walter's math and computer skills I've been able to maximize capabilities while decreasing power needs of the outfit." Happy held the belt out to Megan.
Megan picked it up and noted it weighed about ten kilograms.
"Once it is finished the batteries will be good for about an hour of hard continued use, depending on what you are doing they could last much longer. That would translate to you walking while carrying twenty kilos of groceries for an hour." Happy told her. "Would you like to test the arm?"
Megan smiled and nodded.
Happy slowly demonstrated how the arm brace was positioned and adjusted to fit. She took a moment to apply the sensors to Megan's neck while Megan slipped the belt around her waist. Megan was a little nervous as she sat there watching Happy connect the three pieces together.
"Okay, this part might be just a little strange. When it powers up, it will make a few small adjustments to the brace. But don't worry it can't hurt you." Happy explained before she reached down and pressed the recessed power button on the belt's computer module. The computer came on and they watched the lights on the belt click on and off as it tested the connections. As it got no response from different components the light for each turned off. As it got the response from the brace on Megan's left arm the tiny motors engaged.
Megan let out a surprised yelp and almost jumped at the unaccustomed movement to her arm.
The adults all turned looking at her.
"Megan?" Louise spoke first.
"Sorry Momma, Happy's made this amazing brace for me to help when the MS flares up. It just shocked me a little when it turned on." Megan told her even as the brace went quiet.
"Happy?" Ralph questioned.
"It's based on my robot design for my science project. Walter and I worked on it, separately together if that makes sense." Happy said simply. "Okay Megan, reach out and pick up this tomato." Happy told her pointing to the tomato on the table.
Megan tried thinking of what she was doing and her arm kind of spasmed.
"No, no." Happy told her gently. "Don't think about it. Just reach out and take it."
Megan nodded as she licked her lips and then reached out and the tiny motors clicked in response and while the initial movements were a little jerky they gradually stilled and moved smoothly as she picked up the tomato and brought it back to her.
"That's amazing. It was like it knew what I was thinking without thinking about it." Megan grinned.
Happy nodded.
"It will function okay for you for right now. There are still a lot of things I have to work on and get Walter to help me code for, before it will be completely ready. But eventually this could even help people who have spinal cord trauma." Happy explained. "Right now it can only assist with about 20% of the force an adult would need if they were completely incapable of movement. Anymore and it would drain the batteries too quickly. But if you were wearing it when a flare up happened it would respond to protect you and keep you safe from falling."
"Oh Happy, you sweet child." Louise said as she wrapped her arms around her shoulders and pulled Happy backwards against her in a hug. "Thank you."
"You guys are my family. I have to do what I can for you." Happy said while nodding.
The two members of Paige's detail that were on that night finally noticed she wasn't around and then noticed that Walter was missing as well. They weighed their options about telling Mr. Dineen and decided they'd try to locate her first. They first cleared the house quietly as the family was being impressed by Happy's brace designs. Next they swept the outside and quickly moved further and further from the house. One of the agents grabbed their SUV and began driving around while the other searched on foot.
The agent walking was making his way towards the O'Brien property while the agent driving drove around checking other spots. They met up as they both reached the front of the O'Brien farm. The house was clearly dark and they moved to the barn and found the blankets they normally took weren't where they were kept. They both let out a sigh of relief as they were reasonably sure they were at the creek now. The one agent ran back to the SUV and got the binoculars out of the back and she ran back up and they began walking back towards the field they always went to.
"Oh no, I'm not looking for them. You go ahead." The male agent told the woman as she held the binoculars out to him. She gave him a dirty look but raised the glasses up once they got so far away and scanned the field.
"I think I see them." She said as she spied what looked like a large lump in the field by the creek. She adjusted the focus and she could clearly see something moving around under the blanket just as Paige sat up naked straddling Walter's hips. The agent swallowed hard as she looked away and scanned the rest of the area to be sure there was no one else around. "Yup, they are there. I don't see any threats." She told her partner as she hung the binoculars from her neck.
"I don't think I've ever seen you blush before." Her partner chuckled. "Do I take that to mean they went a lot further than normal?"
"How are we going to handle this?" She nodded her head as she turned to just stare back towards the barn.
"What's to handle? You know the rules of the service as protectors. We just ensure she's safe. We do not comment on what she does." He reminded her. "Besides, how good would it look if it was found out we lost track of them long enough for them to sneak over here and have sex? Oh man, I hope they used protection." He groaned.
Walter and Paige were walking back towards the barn, arm in arm as they both grinned back and forth and kissing as they walked. And then they saw her agents standing at the back of the barn and Walter swallowed.
"Are we in trouble?" Walter whispered.
"No, they can't tell anyone what I do Walter, remember?" Paige whispered back.
"Good, because I'm not comfortable with them knowing what we did and I really don't want our parents to know. But I have to say, that was the most pleasurable experience by far." Walter told her with a huge grin on his face.
Paige blushed.
"Well we definitely went further than I had intended for us too, but it was so enjoyable. Makes me wonder, I thought you were a virgin like me." Paige eyed Walter.
"I was, but after your family went back to America about Happy, I started doing some reading on the internet. I already knew you were the one for me, but that time apart really cinched it to me. And I wanted to be ready for when the time came. I can't believe I orgasmed so quickly each time though. I thought the release was supposed to help with the next." Walter told her as he thought over everything he read.
Paige just grinned.
"Good evening agents Todd and Makle." Paige greeted them before they walked into the barn.
"Ms. Dineen, please don't ever sneak out on us again. We're here for your protection, not to tell anyone about what you are doing. Not only is that dangerous for you, but you could get us in a lot of trouble." Agent Todd told her.
Paige just grinned and went into the O'Brien home so Walter could put the blankets in the wash. She went into the downstair's bathroom and cleaned up real quick while Walter went upstairs and then they rode with the agents in the SUV.
"Hey, where is Paige and Walter?" Sean finally looked around.
"They probably snuck out to the swing to do some kissing." Happy giggled.
"I'll go check, you keep your blood pressure down." Veronica said even as she put her hand against Ralph's chest and walked out of the room to go check.
Veronica opened the west side door and looked out and saw Walter and Paige sitting on the swing.
"Are you two okay out here? You've been gone a long time." Veronica asked as she stepped out.
"Yep, we went for a little walk, just some me and Walter alone time Mom. And now we're back here on the swing. You can go check with my detail if you need to, Mom." Paige told her with a grin she was trying to hide.
Veronica walked over and sat down on the chair close to the swing.
"Paige, I want both of you to listen to me. We were young once too you know. We know about everything you guys are going through. I'm not saying we'd be happy if you guys were to become sexually active. But I hope you remember the two things we've talked with you about in the past. Use protection and if there are any concerns, talk to at least one of us. Hormones will do all kinds of things, they'll put funny ideas in your head and cause problems. So be careful and don't overreact to something between you." Veronica told them.
"Use protection and talk with you if something is wrong. Check." Walter sat there nodding his head with wide eyes.
"Thanks Mom." Paige rolled her eyes and sighed at Walter.
"I wish I had known we would do that tonight. I'm sorry we didn't have any protection." Walter whispered after Veronica walked back into the house.
Paige just smiled as she snuggled into his side.
Greetings! Hope this finds you all well!
Pearliegirl - So glad you are here and enjoying it!
Railman - Yep, Walter was helping Happy, but that present was for Megan. hehe Glad you enjoyed the different piece of jewelry!
Susan - I think she liked it. LOL Yeah, poor Megan, but maybe Happy and Walter's project will protect her moving forward! They really do seem to be blending nicely together!
To the Adventure! -Tim
