LYSELILLA

Introduction

Strange, that, she thought, as she stared at the members of her new family, it's so off from what little I know.

Mirrors upon mirrors upon mirrors of existence, and she could still not find what it meant to be herself. She still thought she was dreaming. No matter where she took her waking perceptions, a part of her would always whisper that these were mere apparitions from her mind—but even still, never had it come to her to trade it for anything else.

There was a joy in madness that none save only the mad knew, or so the saying went.

And this is all mine, mine, mine.

Her godfather gathered her into his arms, and she shrieked in delight as he made sparks of all colours fly before her. He grinned, playful, and she laughed.

[A girl gets reborn into Naruto's warring states era, dies, then is reincarnated once more—this time, in the Harry Potter world. Only, it's a crossover, and she doesn't know what to do. Honestly, though? She's there just for the ride, family of killers and all. It's rather…familiar.]

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Before anyone questions the crossover, I just want to say that this is a fanfic based on my experience as a reality shifter. If you don't know what that is, I recommend keeping an open mind and doing some research.

I've had the idea for making a story for my HP and Naruto DR's for years now. Many parts of the fic will be things that happened in it, though obviously with a spin for the sake of the narrative itself. Also, yes, if you've been on the Tumblr shifting community, you'll recognise me as my-reality-my-rules. If I haven't been active on the platform, this is a part of the reason why. And before anyone from the shifting community gets concerned about certain events in this story, please remember that this is a fanfiction. I am so exhausted at seeing people trying to police so many things about shifting; and, again, this is only a creative interpretation of my DR.

I rated this fic Mature because of certain themes that'd pop up in the future, as a heads-up for those who might not be comfortable with them. Here's a few of the major topics to be included: identity struggles, incest and familial violence, crime and morality, bits of philosophy, and so on and so forth. Please remember that the MC is an unreliable narrator, and no matter how factual the tone of writing sounds, she's still very much biased in her accounts.

There's a drabble at the start and end of each chapter. They're mostly small interactions that happen in the future; they don't particularly fit into any serious part of the narrative, so, I just added them as a little slice-of-life type of thing (because I was bored :P).

Lastly: yes, I'm very much aware of how bloody dense the writing is. No, I'm not going to change my prose. If you don't like it, then don't read it. Simple as that.
