"Good noon, Sonic." Scourge greeted Sonic telepathically.
"Uh... wait... you're Scourge?" Sonic heard it. "Telling me through the dreams? We're on the 15th floor. Just rescued Tangle and Whisper."
"Wait... It's you! Sonic, you're back!" Sonia pleased.
"Who are you?" Sonic doesn't recognize Sonia at all.
"Brother! You! We missed you!" Manic is so hearted.
"I don't know who you are. I have no siblings of the exact blood!" Sonic corrected. "You just mistook me with another version of me!"
"Sonic, it's lunch time already, so you all eat and then meet us!" Julie-Su came by.
The unified army had a lunch besides the way to the 16th floor. Sonic phased by, and the gates are opened by authorization. This time, Sonic let the army camp in the stairs, closing off the gates. The foods are brought in, this time thanks to the allying Badniks supplying it all.
"Can you explain the new weapon- uh, I mean... Wispon?" The humans asked about the new Wispons.
As Sage put it: the Dynamic Wispon a much sleeker version of the Variable Wispon that Whisper uses, resembling a cross between umbrella, a rifle, a Wisp Capsule and a ninjato (sword used by ninjas). The handle is more ergonomic, the stock is built-in and hooked, the studs are smaller and more compact and spiky, and the large open piece is smaller and flatter and integrated with a straight blade, the latter of which comprises nearly two-third of the total length of the Wispon and doubles as its barrel. This Wispon is overall roughly one-and-a-half as long as Whisper's (in fact it's even longer than she herself is tall), and is the same length as the Exacalibur that Sonic has been using. This Wispon works much like the Variable Wispon, but with added features: it can vary its damage to fit the need, so one can choose between clearing out crowds, or do precision shots which trades widespread collateral damage for intense impacts, or slash through any opponent and then some with its blade; it can harness the power of multiple Wisp breed for own unique power too, but unlike the normal Variable Wispon which can only house one breed at a time, this one can house several breeds to allow for powerful "Final Color" moves (The used Wisps still become pure energy).
"Alright... can we free some Wisps?" Infinite tapped Whisper.
Some Wisps came out from her inventory stow, and these were from Diamond Cutters. The Wisps circled around the wolf and mourned her pass-out.
"Don't worry. The so-called Diamond Cutters are good guys. I'm sure of it." Sonic reassured. "It's me, Sonic the Hedgehog. Not sure which of you shares me like you shared with your Sonic... uh, how do I word all this? Anyways, glad we're working together. We've rescued Tangle and Whisper. They should be ok now."
Whisper's Wisps briefly celebrated the rescue that just happened, and hi-fives with the other Wisps. Then suddenly the Whisper's glared at Eggman, mistaking him for the one that a former Diamond Cutter, Mimic, worked with.
"They trust us! But wait... who?" Eggman shrugged. "But oh well... at least we got some more."
Sonic ate some chili dog specfically spelling 'SUPERSTARS', and shared some more of the same to his past self. Classic Sonic happily munched.
A bit later, and everyone's full. They all went into the Cyber Dream by sleep.
"Just in place." Julie-Su on the scene. "Welcome to what was... uh... which world?"
A green island with a desert for the center. Before the main unified army is the gang in this dream, including Scourge who appears here as a mobian avatar.
"Wait... I recognize this place..." Ryu recognized it all.
"This place... we've been here before!" Chun-Li looked around.
"Seriously?" The rest of the unified army the group have no idea.
"This is a dream of the Reality Zero, and yes, I can't believe I have to say this, but nowhere is truly safe." Prime!Shadow commented. "I mean, look, the Zero Point in the middle is connection to all of existence through space-time! Because of this, all multiverses and realities are in danger!"
"So this is far worse than we thought." Axl is unnerved.
"Thanks to the monster, we learned the existence of this goddamn nexus orb!" Julie-Su pointed at the Zero Point.
"Shatter has the rift time machine from a certain collection, and he's definitely using it for ulterior purposes!" Prime!Shadow revealed. "He's going to take every advantage he can get! And he's cautious enough to pull it off without aggravating the outside forces any further!"
"This is the center of all existence!?" Sigma is overwhelmed.
"Everyone!" Sally and Nicole arrived. "Any report?"
"The first 15 floors are finished. And we survived, and actually, we just rescued Tangle and Whisper. Which timeline did they exactly came from?" Sonic shrugged. "On another note... where's Tai-Atziluth?"
"Thanks goodness! Our Tangle and Whisper, who accepted us and part of our Team Freedom!" Sally celebrated. "Tangle! Whisper! You're back!"
Tangle and Whisper materialized in the area, confused and tired.
"Where..." Tangle then reacted. "Huh? Sally? Nicole?"
"Uh..." Whisper came back to her sense.
Both IDW-girls get hugged by the Archie-duo in a heartwarming case. Rindou got flustered, while the Team Superstars except Team Sonic and Shadow and storybooks all cheered out.
"Metal Virus... My god..." Tangle sobs. "They monsters... Pushing us even worse..."
Whisper sobbed at both experience as infected Roboticized Masters accompanied by Grim pastiches.
"Congratulations!" Julie-Su laughed. "The Team Freedom has returned! Technically, that is."
"Sonic!" Sonia and Manic both hugged Sonic, not yet knowing this is the first time this Sonic has met them in person (as far as canon's regarded). "We missed you!"
"Woah woah woah, calm down." Sonic is surprised. "It's so complicated."
"The Metal Virus got me again." Tangle wiped off sob. "Thanks goodness we're saved."
"I thought we're done for!" Whisper is scared.
"Don't worry, guys. Even though you're not exactly from my world, but still, you're our friends, and then some. We have a multi-multiversal alliance." Sonic reassured. "And why I even brought Eggman here? It's because we're saving existence itself."
"Alright, we are having a truce, and we also needed as much help as we can get." Eggman clears his throat. "Ok, let us recall..."
The unified army told the gang and co. what have happened before landing into a dream copy of the Island now.
"We're asically brainwashed into killing... you all." Tangle is shocked. "Oh my god..."
"God? Wait, oh! You have gods by your side now!" Habaki laughed. "The name's Habaki Sakagami. This is my retainer, Rindou Koga. We're from a multiverse with gods in the forefront!"
Sage immediately loaded the issue #252 and the Throne record sketch for all to see, as holograms. "Well, let's just say we have some extra findings."
"Huh?" Nicole saw the comics. "Is this... wait. This is... after the Super Genesis Wave?"
"Apparently, this is supposed to be. A timeline refreshed. But for some reason..." Sonic replied. "If the second Super Genesis Wave really happened... this explains the difference."
Nicole read the comic, and is utterly shocked to find out the difference. This one wasn't leading to the world Tangle and Whisper came from... this one was the original aftermath of the Super Genesis Wave.
"Oh. My. God." Nicole is in disbelief. "So different. Sally's not even a robian..."
Suddenly, Nicole is overloaded. Memories of the original aftermath that she didn't already got back through Sage now flooded her database, completing the original reincarnation. The AI screamed in shock and crisis, as the facial response disturbed everyone.
"Nicole!" Sally panicked.
"Sally..." Nicole dropped down flat.
"Oh no! What's wrong!?" Julie-Su panicked.
"No no no no no," Classic Tails tried to calm all down. "Please, just stop!"
Sally reluctantly read the comic, and is confused at the details. Something to her that never happened in the world she currently came from. And then, once she reaches the final pages..."
"It's... me..." Sally is in disbelief. "Completely... deroboticized!"
Cue a flood of memories from the original aftermath overwhelming her, leading to her scream in crisis.
"It's... my original life! No!" Sally wailed.
"Princess, go calm!" Scourge scrambled.
"This is... oh no..." Sally slumps down.
"They've regained all the memories..." Sage realized what just happened. "Then this completely confirm my findings. The timeline they came from have indeed been corrupted by... something mysterious."
"Oh... the... second Genesis Wave!?" Shadow realized.
"You finally understood. There definitely is a secong Super Genesis Wave. It broke the old timeline twice in a row!" Prime!Shadow confirmed. "And the eldritch pet of Shatter and the Phantom Ruby has to do with it."
"Pet?" Sonic is confused.
"You call it THE END... he calls it Muttski." Prime!Shadow revealed. "You're not hearing things. Shatter has a literal eldritch monster for a pet."
"I'm living in a non-existent story." Sally feels bad for herself. "Oh, how altered and paradoxical I have become to be in this state without."
"I'm dead. I'm actually dead." Nicole flips off. "I'm dead! My computer mind was fried! Iwas reincarnated from the Supreme Goddess, so Supreme Goddess is no longer with us! I'm nothing now!"
"No! You are our friends, our fellow!" Sonic calmed by. "Pull yourself up! We have multiverses to save!"
"How can I live and die without properly learning about my existence!" Nicole snapped, pushing Sonic away with her digital pitchfork. "Sonic! My existence is ruined because of this book!"
Sally is enraged and attempted to punch-stab with her ring-blade, but Habaki, a Transcendence God, easily blocked.
"Shut up and realize what's going on!" The Zeti used their innate power unto dreams, restraining Nicole.
"Miss Nicole, you can't break us! We can't be arguing at our expense!" Sage called out. "This is a matter of survival. Do you want to exist again."
"SHUT UP! It doesn't matter!" Nicole tried to break free.
"No! No! Fuck no!" Cue Sally being spanked by Habaki.
"Poor princess." Julie-Su is embarassed.
"Girls! Stop!" Mina finally spoke up.
The duo stopped, horrified at the situation. Mina sighed, and actually recalled...
-*flashbacks*
"My world... our world... gone! NOOOOO!" Mina broke down, regressing to the broken mongoose through existential crisis, like the day when she was brainwashed after reboot.
It didn't help that she's captured by Nightmare Rose for the ritual involving Ariem. Mina utterly cracked, haunted by amplified recalling of her times with Mammoth Mogul, with amplification being from the Hyper Genesis Wave and the takeover by Team Shatter.
"It's... over..." Mina quickly fell into depression. "I'm... lost..."
A few days later, after lunchtime...
"Thanks goodness!" Sonia is free. "This cage is too strong, and it's so dense our hands can't fully fit through!"
"The boy named Volnutt just saved us from dream doom!" Manic pulled off his pick-locking tools. "Damn, if the cage is just a wee bit less dense, my hand and tools could fit through!"
Manic then noticed Mina, and didn't know who she is. However, he did notice that the mongoose is mumbling, repeatedly whisp-ing "Sonic", "Chaotix", "Sally" and the likes. The "Sonic" part is what ticked the green hedgehog off.
"Brother?" Manic recalled. "He?"
"Wait... this girl is mumbling... some names. Sonic's one of these?" Sonia heard it.
The two then decided to rescue Mina, which went completely perfect thanks to Manic's picking.
"Guys... you're..." Mina noticed.
"It's Sonic's great siblings! Sonia and Manic!" The two introduced themselves.
"Just another ones who don't exist..." Mina doesn't care. "Go away."
"You too, because I bet some monsters by the title of Team Shatter are about to find us!" Manic warned Mina. "And that's no good!"
"What?" Mina is shocked. "You're going to-"
"Rescue you, of course!" Sonia pulled Mina out of the cage, and carried her out.
Manic took the Rhythm Wispon with Bowie in it, and both hedgehogs got away. Cue the mongoose screaming in shock, fearing for her life, but Sonia's super strength prevented her from anything meaningful.
"Why are you screaming? We have to be quiet!" Manic shushed.
Thankfully, Nightmare Rose was away dealing with the Tai-Atziluth, so she didn't check the room in time. Once she finally found out, she's frustrated that the escape has happened quite a while now, and tried to to locate them.
-*flashback ends*
"Thanks goodness the rescue went well and they calmed me down. I got back to my sense and state, and realized what really happened to the worlds!" Mina recounted. "Those monsters... they have to be erased!"
"Volnutt managed to break the locks using his blaster and thus save us both... both, but then he fled for his own safety and concealment." Manic explained their escape himself. "I were going to unlock other cages and save everyone, but I figured I wasted enough time, and I noticed Ms. Mongoose mumbling."
"I was devastated. I became depressed. Prior, I became burned, forcibly deaf and blind all over in one moment." Mina sat down in a rock. "Then a quick moment later, I was-"
"Kidnapped by the corrupted robots, didn't you." Robotnik added.
Mina simply nod in relief, having finally calmed everyone down.
"Oh wow. We were... oh no. I'm two AIs in one! I really am! How didn't I remember the full sets!?" Nicole is surprised.
"Am I supposed to continue being robian, or get retroactively deroboticized?" Sally sighed.
"Y'all calmed down. Know we were kidnapped and sent to different captivities." Julie-Su pats her blaster.
"Finally... found you!" Nightmare Rose voiced the scene.
"I knew it... we might've been distracted here..." Infinite noticed. "Izanami... now!"
"Fine. I won't go ambushed." Rindou quickly loaded Longinuslanze onto her bow.
