The Four Trolls looked at each other, still discussing about going on this adventure. The group headed out of Skull Castle, the guards laying in the hallway unconscious as the ensemble of Barb, Branch, Poppy and JD just walked by.
Upon exiting the drawbridge JD led them to Rhonda as the giant bus licked Poppy, coating the Pink Troll in a glittery saliva as Poppy chucked. JD explained that meant Rhonda seemed to Like her or was marking Poppy as Food. it could go either way.
"Eww, mega gross" Barb replied, watching Poppy wringing saliva out of her dress, patting her clothes with her hands as they all entered Rhonda.
"Oh, My Gah, it's like a BroZone museum" Poppy shot up, her eyes sparkling like stars. Feeling like a Trolling in a Candy Store; seeing the wall lined with BroZone Merch, Albums, posters, toys, magazines.
"Is that underwear, cause if it is" Barb pointed out to pair of underwear framed in glass before simply pointing to her throat, mocking a gagging motion. as JD informed her, they were Clay's signature Funder-Drawers and collectors would love to get their hands on them as everyone kept looking.
"What a minute" Poppy called out, getting everyone attention as she looked at one of the posters, instead of the usual 4-member line up, this poster had five trolls. the four Bros and a baby.
The Trolls were wearing Denim tuxedos expect for the baby, wearing a denim diaper and white oversized glasses.
"I Thought BroZone only had four members, who's he?" Poppy questioned, counting on her fingers ad not recalling a fifth member. as JD looked at her, surprised the Pink Troll had not put it together.
"Thing about Poppyseed. all the members of BroZone were brothers" JD teased as Branch covered the older Troll's mouth, saying he was nobody as Poppy realized it.
"Wait Branch you were IN BroZone?!" Poppy realized as Barb let out a snort, looking at the baby on the poster. Having just found out her Rockstar Boyfriend used to be in a Boyband, Barb was never going to let Branch live this down.
Branch turned everyone away from the wall of merch Looking at JD, asking what their plan even was. John Dory smiled at Branch pointing out what he had figured out.
"Floyd is in a Diamond Prison, and there is only one thing in this world that can break diamond" JD went out as Branch pinched his eyebrows in annoyance.
"Please tell me it's a diamond hammer" he sarcastically responded as JD shot him down, claiming he already considered it, but the answer was obvious as Branch looked up at JD.
"Oh No- Oh Yes" Branch responded as JD interrupted.
"The Perfect Family Harmony" The two brothers said at the same time as Branch crossed his arms, adding the last time they attempted that; it tore their family apart. as Barb looked at him, asking Branch to fill her in, still getting used to this whole Branch having brothers idea.
Branch explained the nature of the failed BroZone show and how afterwards everyone separated, and he was left alone with his grandmother. Branch turned to John Dory, asking if he even knew where the other brothers were.
"Well...No" John Dory replied, tugging the collar of his jacket. reminding them the only reason he found Branch was because of the Rock Station mentioning him. As Branch and Barb looked him, asking if he seriously had no leads.
"I Mean, I have a postcard from Spruce, I wouldn't really call it a lead though" JD replied, looking through his mail. he handed the letter to Branch who pulled the card from the envelope. There was no postage, no return address, just the picture of a sunset, on the back was a simple message 'Bros, wish you were here' written in marker. Branch clarified it was nothing to go on as Poppy looked at it.
"Actually, it's super easy, we just have to find this sunset and then we find Spruce" Poppy explained as Branch and Barb questioned the Pop Queen's logic, finding an exact sunset would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
"We'll it clearly has a beach vibe, so my best bet, travel along the coastlines" Barb commented, rubbing the sand on her fingers from holding the card as Branch smiled, realizing that Barb actually had a more logical idea, and there weren't that many beaches in the Troll Kingdom.
"John Dory, you have a map?" Barb asked as he nodded. handing a map which the redhead pinned on the wall as in just a few minutes Barb and Branch had managed to create a wall of clues as John Dory looked at the two-bouncing idea off each other.
They praised Barb for her problem solving as she smirked, saying she studied maps in preparation for her World Tour and marked three spots in the Troll Kingdoms where Beaches occurred.
"The first is near Pop Village, pretty small and I doubt he's there" Barb commented as Poppy nodded, claiming she had never seen that sunset before. The second beach was Rave Beach, which was in Techno Territory. Branch considered it possible if Spruce was staying with other Trolls, he might have ended up at Rave Beach.
"The third is a beach island, it's off the continent but it's an unknown, even we don't know what's there" Branch commented as Barb noticed something, telling Branch something she remembered. back during her world tour, Barb offered this beach island as a reward for the Pop String Job.
Branch looked at the map and realized it WAS the same. Barb offered an island that was an unknown. asking what would have happened if there was a whole other tribe of Trolls there. Barb tugged at her ears saying the island wasn't technically a part of the Troll Kingdom but off the shore and she just wanted to get rid of all Non-Rock Trolls (at the time).
"Well, Mystery Beach is much closer, let's try there first and then we could try Rave Beach" JD said starting up Rhonda's engine as they had a set of coordinates. a destination to follow. The Bus started as the Trolls began on their Road trip to reunite BroZone and Save Floyd. JD was in front as Poppy was striking up a conversation, asking him about everything BroZone, what the brothers were like, their favorite hobbies. If Poppy's happiness was at 100% by default, it was now at 150%.
"Great, Poppy, had to be a BroZone superfan" Branch commented, looking at Barb as rolled her eyes, pointing to her throat again, as he chuckled. She reminded Branch that he wasn't of the woods yet, even calling him his Nickname of Bitty B as Branch groaned hearing the name from his girlfriend's mouth as it sat there, it seemed tolerable.
The two seemed to share a moment, looking at each other the sound of a squeak was heard and the two turned seeing Poppy with the biggest smile on her face, apologizing for her squeaky chair as she instructed them to continue. The Moment was ruined as they just sat there, Barb rubbing her arm and Branch scratching the back of his neck. eventually JD asked Branch, a question, eyes still on the road.
"So Bitty B, how do you know Queen Barb. I mean I get you play bass for her but that sounds like a story" JD asked as the two rock Trolls had a moment of silence. Poppy interrupted explaining that Branch and Barb were Dating.
"Seriously Branch, you're with the Queen of Rock, nice catch Bro" JD complimented as Barb glared at JD, asking what he meant by 'Catch'. Was JD assuming that Branch 'caught her' like some trophy fish, or that he was only interested in her because she was a Queen.
That could not be further from the truth, Branch was very caring, and it didn't even matter to him that she was a queen, the two genuinely loved each other and she desperately wanted to break JD's neck for even assuming Branch was that shallow, but he pulled her aside him, holding her hand.
"So, Barb, you did tell everyone where we were going right?" Branch asked as the Redhead realized she might not have told anyone she had left, as they left quickly.
Back at Rock castle a sword flew through the air, over a guard's head and landing into the wall. "What do you mean they're GONE?"
Eclipsa was snapping at one of the guards who told her that The Queen and Branch were gone, and the Guards did not know where they were as they could see where Barb got her Royal Tantrums from, being Captain of the Guard and Barb's personal advisor Eclipsa took pride in her job and right now The Queen and her son were unaccounted for.
"Captain, I heard, most of the conversation" one of the Guards said, trying to remember what happened. as he and his partner were the ones who ambushed the attacker. Telling Eclipsa they he did not kidnap, Barb and Branch, they went with him willingly, and Queen Poppy was with them.
Eclipsa breathed a small sigh of relief, pulling the sword from the wall, sheathing it. If They were abducted from the castle that would have been bad but if they went willingly, maybe Eclipsa had overreacted, apologizing to the guards for snapping. explaining it was just between her duty of protecting the Queen and the possibility of losing her son again. She did not even want to think about that. but the guards explained that the intruder only did so because the guards refused his request to see Barb. and he wanted Branch to go with him on an adventure to find their brothers, Queen Barb and Queen Poppy tagged along.
"Wait, did you say 'Brothers' as in Brothers with Branch, you're telling me BroZone has my Son and are dragging him on a dangerous adventure?" Eclipsa asked, her hostility slightly coming back as the guards simply nodded. Eclipsa simply stormed out of the throne room, marching down to the armory.
Once there she reached for her helmet placing it over her head and gripping the handle of her sword. Eclipsa had just gotten her son back and know BroZone was trying to take him away again. They were the ones who hurt him in the first place. She had to save him from Brozone before they could hurt her baby again; it was her duty, not as Guard Captain but as a mother.
(A/N: So originally this was going to be chapter 3, but I wanted to go into what JD was doing and how he got to Volcano Rock City and that segment ended up longer than anticipated so I spilt the chapter up into two parts, also I tweaked Bruce's card as Bruce sending JD a blank card always just seemed off. also Yeah, Eclipsa REALLY does not like BroZone)
