Roxanne looked up hearing footsteps approaching and smiled when she caught sight of Tig.
"Hey!"
"Hey, back in shape?" She certainly looked a lot better than she had earlier today, he noted, but he wondered why she was wearing sunglasses in this quite dark corner.
"Yeah, I'm just about to sign the contract."
"So you're serious," he smiled, and she looked at him, puzzled.
"What's that supposed to mean? You want me so bad!"
Now his smile turned into an ambiguous grin and Roxanne could literally feel herself turning bright red.
"Well I mean ... you know what I mean!"
"Yes, of course!"
Shaking her head, Roxanne turned her attention back to the contract and held it a little closer to her face. It clearly was way too dark.
"Maybe it would be easier without that thing there," Tig suggested and Roxanne realized she couldn't get out of it now.
She took off her sunglasses and avoided his gaze, but he had already seen enough.
"What the hell ...?"
Roxanne jumped up from the table, but Tig grabbed her and held her by the forearm.
"Hey, let me see!" He took her chin between his thumb and forefinger and gently forced her to look at him.
"It's nothing, just a conjunctival irritation or draft!" she assured him, but couldn't escape his inquiring gaze. It was the first time she'd seen him without sunglasses so close, and she was surprised to figure that he had blue eyes too, way more intense than her own. Stunning.

Even more, they were definitely standing too close to each other. Way too close.
"And that's when your eye color changes, too?" Tig asked now mockingly and Roxanne shrugged nonchalantly, at leat she hoped so.
"Sometimes you want to try something new, don't you?"
He just raised his eyebrows meaningfully and that was enough.
"Okay, I have my reasons, so please keep it to yourself! Anyway it´s beside the point, at least for you, whether I have green or blue eyes."
He let go of her and put a step of distance between them both. He had become aware of this closeness as well, but hadn't let on either.
"Okay. Maybe you'll tell me when you're ready. Both looking good, by the way!" he added with a wink before leaving and she looked after him speechlessly for a moment before smiling and signing the contract along with the declaration.

"I've already kept the copy for myself," Roxanne said as she handed the clipboard to Gemma a moment later and she flipped through it briefly.
"No questions about that confidentiality statement?" she wanted to know, a little surprised, and Roxanne shook her head.
"I'm hired as a mechanic and aside from taking care of vehicles and the guys' bikes, all the other things considering the club is none of my business, that goes without saying."
"You won't be excluded from everything, though," Gemma clarified with a smile. "I think you'll fit in quite nicely!"

Roxanne decided to walk into town.
There really wasn't much spectacular to see; it was basically a typical small american town. In the drugstore she found appropriate eye drops, hair dyes were also quite well sorted, and at least there was a fashion store that had some nice stuff in the window.
She found quite a few things and left the store after a while with two large bags, in which were without exception black clothes. So to speak, in her former life she had never worn black, but in the meantime she began to like it. It was kinda soothing.

Suddenly the TM tow truck pulled up next to her and the young guy with the mohawk and head tattoo smiled at her out of the rolled down driver's window.
"Hey, can I give you a ride?"
"Yeah, that would be great, um ... Juice, right?"
"That's me!"
Roxanne walked around the vehicle and climbed onto the passenger seat.
"Big shopping trip?" Juice pointed at the two bags. "As best as a lady can do around here."
She laughed as she buckled her seat belt. "Yeah, but that's enough for me, I don't need expensive fashion labels. 'Only black is beautiful'."
"Well said!" Juice put the truck in gear. "When do you actually start working for us?"
"Starting tomorrow."
"Good." He grinned and gave her a sideways glance. "I'm sure you'll be swamped with work, they'll all want their Harleys serviced by you."
"Including you?" echoed Roxanne, and he nodded affirmatively.
"Sure. Tig totally raves about you, he didn't think you could do it. But on the other hand, I guess he was a little disappointed. Kind of."
Roxanne frowned. "What do you mean?"
"Oh, um...," Juice pressured when he realized he'd blurted. "Nothing."
"Now, come on, tell me! I'm gonna keep it between us!" she assured him, and he shook his head with a sigh.
"I guess he was hoping you'd have to work off your debt to him some other way. Do I really need to be more explicit about that?"
"Are you saying he fancies me?" It was true that there had been some attraction, especially earlier, but that it was so obvious being already noticeable to third parties ...
Juice laughed shortly. "Believe me, he is keen on anything that has legs! Meaning no offense but ... it's like that!"
She really wasn't expecting that. "Literally anything?!"
"Yeah, pretty much. That's all you want to know for now!"
For a moment she was speechless. "Wow ... okay," she finally brought out, but a little shocked. "I'll have to digest that for now!"
"I really don't want to badmouth him, I like him but if you're going to get involved with him, you should know," he said. "He might tell you himself anyway, you guys seem to get along pretty well from what I've overheard and seen so far."
Roxanne could only nod. What was she supposed to answer to that now?
Bad boy was one thing but bad boy with kinky tendencies was quite another.
She was kinda into him already but how should she deal with it now?!

Fortunately, he wasn't present when they pulled into the garage yard, and Roxanne immediately retreated to the apartment tending to her shopping. The annoying labels had to be cut off and then she wanted to ask for a daily newspaper, she had forgotten to buy one, and see if the washing machine in the kitchenette was working. At least she didn't have to go for groceries yet, Half-Sack had again emphatically assured her that she was allowed to help herself to the refrigerator and the pantry.

The next morning she met her mechanic colleagues as well as the 'hard core' of the MC in the common room of the clubhouse, apparently they all met for the first coffee and a small breakfast and Clay didn't miss the opportunity to introduce them again. Some of them didn't even know her yet, some faces Roxanne hadn't seen before.
"She's not one of our crow eaters, so treat her with respect," Clay concluded before turning to Roxanne, who wondered, what the hell a 'crow eater' was. "If you need anything, let me or one of the guys know."
"Well, speaking of which: A new jumpsuit would be nice," she replied. "Even the smallest one is still way too big for me and it gets annoying."
"So in other words, something significantly more figure-hugging," Tig said with a grin, Chibs and Bobby nodded affirmatively, and Opie looked at the three of them with feigned indignation.
"What was that about respect just now?"
"We'll find something suitable," Jax was sure, grinning now as well. "Don't listen to them idiots. Anything else you want to say?"
"Yeah, well, um...," Roxanne cleared her throat. "First of all, thank you for welcoming me in such a friendly and companionable manner – no comment to those innuendos for now," she added with a wink in the direction of the three before turning back to the group in general. "I hope you guys continue to be pleased with my work, and since today is my first day, how's that going here with the deuce?"
"We could fire up the grill at noon today," Clay suggested. "I'll send Gemma shopping and we'll cut it off of your paycheck. Drinks are still there, after all. Would that be okay?"
Roxanne agreed. "Good idea!"
"Then I'll say again on behalf of everyone, welcome to the team!"

Tig took her aside outside, on his way to the garage.
"Your eyes are better, as far as I can see," he noted, she was wearing her green contacts again. At breakfast earlier, they had sat almost the entire length of the table away from each other.
"Yes," was all Roxanne replied, realizing that she probably could deal with him normally after all and didn't feel nervous or otherwise uncomfortable in his presence now that she knew what Juice had told her about him. Her next reaction only confirmed that.
"A bummer, actually," Tig commented, grinning suggestively. "You looked like a zombie, it was … kinda hot!"
"Sorry. I guess now I'm significantly less attractive again?" she countered, smiling, before leaving him standing there and going to change for work.
Tig shook his head as he watched her leave. "Not at all!"

The lunchtime barbecue dragged on a bit but since it was Roxanne's debut, Clay without further ado closed the garage for the rest of the day.
Tig eyed Roxanne repeatedly as she stood there in her too-wide jumpsuit talking to Hank, Half-Sack and Piney. She had taken off the top and tied the sleeves around her hips like a belt, and even if the admittedly tight top she wore underneath wasn't really sexy ...
"Are you even listening?" Opie wanted to know. He, Chibs, Jax and Tig were sitting at a table and had just been talking about more or less trivial things and so it hadn't even occurred to them that Tig had sort of tuned out.
"Of course not," Chibs answered for the latter, poking his elbow into his side in a chummy manner and pointing his head in the direction of Roxanne, who was now laughing at some quip from Half-Sack.
"Go for her if you want her!"
Tig nodded pensively without taking his eyes off her. "Yeah. Let's see."
