It's been a long day.

That's what Nagisa hates about flights. It's like no matter what, once you're on an aeroplane it may as well be limbo. Maybe he would have expected to be a little less bored with Karma there, but… Karma… well considering he's very much not a morning person, Nagisa thought they'd be just fine with the early evening flight. Even with his 'budgeting'. Despite that, Karma basically fell asleep the second the plane was in the air.

Karma's just lucky he looked cute resting on his shoulder, or else Nagisa might have been mad about it. Considering he'd somehow been unable to take even a nap for the combined sixteen hours of layover and flight time, he'd had a lot of time to develop a grudge.

By the time they finally reach Faleolo International airport, Nagisa's pretty beat. Even with the time difference though, it's still only late afternoon. At least it's a lot warmer than Tokyo, which is kind of nice. Or maybe he's grasping at straws, since the only thing he's really wanted to do so far is collapse onto the luggage carousel.

Not that they have stowed luggage. Another victim of Karma's budgeting.

Speaking of which, Karma yawns beside him, stretching his arms the moment they get outside. Not that that takes particularly long, considering the airport is a lot smaller than Narita. "Nice, palm trees."

Nagisa just gapes for a moment. If all Karma wanted were palm trees, he can think of countless places that wouldn't have taken sixteen hours travel time.

"C'mon," Karma presses his weight on his shoulder, "lay it on me."

"Huh?"

He rolls his eyes. "Don't act like you didn't bring some kind of custom printed guidebook."

Nagisa finds himself glaring. "It's not printed, actually."

"Gimme," Karma says, though he's smiling in a way that causes Nagisa's annoyance to fade.

"Fine," he says, trying to ignore how easily he was worn down, and hands over his phone.

Karma's eyes widen as he reads. "You seriously figured out escape routes in case of a volcanic eruption?"

"I wanted to be prepared!"

He just responds with a snicker. "I mean, probably more useful than this part about coconut trees though. Seriously? Have you been playing too much Donkey Kong or what?"

Nagisa's eyes narrow. "They're a real danger! Some people say 150 people die to falling coconuts around the world every year."

"Ah," Karma grins fiendishly, "so you'll stop bitching about the car rental then, hm?" He pats him hard on the head. "Gotta protect all of this with a roof."

"Haha," Nagisa laughs without humour.

Karma's hand moves down to his shoulder, tugging him into his side. "In some parts of India, people kill the elderly by forcing them to drink coconut water."

Maybe he's a little disturbed that Karma just so happens to know that.

Whatever the case, that conversation is prevented from following a dark turn by the car in question, which Karma seems mildly pleased about. Nagisa's main concern was the added cost really, though Karma had successfully won that argument. Maybe an added factor is the fact that the last time he was in a car with Karma ended in 30,000 yen's worth of fines, and only narrowly avoiding the threshold for license suspension. Though, they had saved someone's life as a result of that.

The radio plays out automatically when he turns the key in the ignition, filling the car with some relaxed music. At least it's less unnerving to close his eyes and focus on that, rather than Karma's driving. Until he feels a kind of rocking movement that is. Are they on the ferry already? He hadn't expected the sea to get this rough.

No, he realises. Not rocking, shaking.

"Did you fall asleep on me?" Karma says, filling his vision with a lopsided grin.

You're one to talk. "Are we there yet?"

Karma laughs. "Only on the boat. Unless you just want to sit here?"

He forces himself to stretch out. "No, I'll come."

It's not like he regrets it. The sea air is instantly refreshing as it hits his face, and the view is pretty amazing too. It reminds him a little bit of Okinawa, though these are much less dire circumstances. That being said, spending an hour on a ferry isn't exactly what Nagisa would like to be doing. Sadly his top three potential activities of choice all involve a bed.

"You look sea-sick," Karma comments.

Nagisa shoots him a glare, but then sighs. "Guess I'm just spacing out."

His hand runs from his shoulder to his arm, like it's meant to be soothing, but he lingers for just a little bit too long. "Want me to make it better?"

He squints, trying to read Karma's intentions. "Why do you sound like you're planning to throw me overboard?"

Sure enough, a more blatantly evil expression creeps onto his face. "You have so little faith in me."

"And is that justified?"

Karma shrugs, playing innocent. "I should be offended, really. I try to comfort you and you act like I'm trying to kill you."

"I never said that-"

"You implied it," he sticks his tongue out. "My own boyfriend doesn't think I'm capable of being nice."

Nagisa feels his cheeks heat up. "I know you're capable."

Since Karma's hand is still near his wrist, though, he manages to yank Nagisa towards him before he can actually react. Just like that, he wraps his arms around him tight in some kind of imitation of a hug.

"See."

"K-karma!" He yelps, though that's kind of hard. Karma's holding him in a semi death-grip, and his face is smushed against his chest. "There are people."

Karma chuckles, and Nagisa somehow grows more red as he feels the vibration against his cheek. "What, now you have a problem with PDA?" He does loosen his grip though… slightly. "See, I remember you trying to strip me in front of everyone."

Forget Karma throwing him overboard, Nagisa might just take a swan dive himself. "You're not funny."

"Shh," he even pats the top of his head. "There there."

Finally Nagisa worms his way out of his grip. "And I'm not a kid!"

"Well I hope not."

He's so… Nagisa can't even think of a way to describe it in words. Just… internal screams.

Karma tilts his head. "What'd'ya go all red for, Nagisa~?"

He seriously considers stun clapping him. It would be effective, sure, but a spell of temporary paralysis would just draw more attention to them. Not that anybody else on the deck actually seems to be looking at them. That, and Nagisa knows not to choose violence, of course. There are better ways to deal with Karma when he's in one of his playful moods, anyway.

As low as he can muster, he says "why don't you come and find out?"

Taking the second of confusion that comment allows him, he darts to the left, running as fast as he can. Realistically, they're probably about the same speed. Karma has a much longer reach with his legs, but Nagisa knows he weighs less, making him nimbler. The only thing he needs to watch out for is Karma's arm span, but a boat has plenty of obstacles to help with that.

He's not sure how long Karma chases him around the deck. Nagisa's stamina isn't as good as it used to be, but he can still get some distance before he feels the burn in his lungs. His laughter probably isn't helping too much with that. This is fun, though, in their own way. It's not like they play this kind of 'tag' often… but they're both pretty competitive. Thankfully, Nagisa's winning, having taken the opportunity to dive past a tight corner near the entrance to the lower deck. Looking over his shoulder, Karma's not even in his line of sight.

That is, until he almost skids into an elderly woman, who doesn't look particularly happy to see him.

"I-I'm really sorry," Nagisa says, figuring English to be the safest language for the apology.

"Tch." She looks him up and down critically, before yanking the door open and disappearing through it.

Whoops.

Karma manages to grab him again as the door slams, though this time in more of a headlock. "Gotcha."

Under any other circumstances, Nagisa knows he could quite easily free himself from this position by playing dirty and kicking him in the groin.

…That is to say, Karma's lucky Nagisa would prefer his dick not out of commission.

"Yield," he finally says.

Karma lets him go immediately, spinning him around on the spot. "Do I get a reward?"

Before he can think of a response to that, he sees something more interesting behind Karma, finding himself stepping closer to the railing. "Looks like we're getting pretty close to the island."

Karma turns over his shoulder. "No kidding?"

That appears to settle them into an unofficial truce. At least for long enough to get back to the car and wait for the ferry to dock. It's not that Nagisa doesn't enjoy talking to Karma, but the scenery captures his immediate attention. Past the small dock, the area isn't densely populated. The sun has just started to set, casting a glow across the very blue sea. There are even more palm trees, though they're replaced by denser forest as they keep driving.

He finally turns his head. "You know where we're going?"

Karma rolls his eyes. "I'm not just getting us lost."

He says it as he turns off onto some sort of dirt road, which does little for Nagisa's confidence.

Nagisa keeps his mouth firmly shut though. Maybe long dirt roads with no sign of anyone living there are normal here. Thankfully, they start to slow down while there's still some amount of light. It takes Nagisa a moment to figure out what he's looking at, but it appears to be a decently sized structure, though it's a little obscured by a line of trees.

Once he actually gets out of the car, he knows he definitely can't complain. During what basic amount of research he'd done, Nagisa had come across the idea of traditional fele raised huts. This place looks at least semi-inspired by that, though quite a bit bigger and more modern. The best part is the white beach it's built on, which has a direct view of the ocean.

"See," Karma says, a little like he's gloating.

Rather than responding to it, Nagisa probably does the one thing that'll annoy him more, and just brushes past him with his suitcase. Maybe it's a little mean, but Nagisa's just a little bit beyond the capacity of meaningful praise. Yes, it looks like a great choice, but the only thing he really wants to do is find the bed and lie down in it.

He pauses at the door, though, thoughts rushing through his head. "What kind of place is this?"

"AirBNB," Karma says like it's obvious, and unlocks the door.

"Oh."

The inside isn't hugely decorated, but that's probably a good thing. Really, it just looks like a standard hotel room. Nagisa figures he can analyse it all at some later point. Unless jet lag really does hit Karma hard, he's probably going to feel the same way about mornings. That'll give Nagisa more than enough time.

"Nagisa~"

Karma's pouting or something. Or, well, to be fair to him he's not actually pouting yet. It's the expression he pulls before that though, Nagisa knows it well enough. Honestly, it tugs at Nagisa's chest a little. He is really happy to be here, after all. Maybe taking a power nap can wait just a little longer…

He lets go of his suitcase and wraps his arms around Karma's waist instead, breathing in a genuine sigh as his head falls against his chest.

"What's that for?"

Like Nagisa needs a reason to hug him? He just ends up squeezing a little tighter, though. They haven't actually spent much time together for a while, not since the babysitting misadventure. It starts out as an innocent thought, a sensation that sounds like I missed you. Swiftly, though, the gentle thump of Karma's heartbeat sends a certain heat rushing straight down his legs right to the tips of his toes.

It's been a while. Probably the longest they've gone since the day Karma first touched him. Nagisa shivers at the thought. Thankfully, Karma's own arms wrap around his back, supporting his weight. He finds himself digging his hands into Karma's shirt, like that's giving him some kind of extra leverage. He needs as much of it as he can get.

"Karma…" he gets out, half mumbling it against his body.

He leans back just a little in response, golden eyes gleaming down at him before he bends and connects their lips together hard.

Admittedly, Nagisa almost immediately falls over. It's difficult to keep still, with Karma letting so much of his weight drape down over him like this. He does keep his own though, letting himself press up right against him close as he can get, as though he's trying to constrict him. A thrill of electricity pulses through him, and it's almost like he can feel the blood pumping around Karma's body.

He's not exactly pushed, more so naturally sinks back down onto the mattress below him. Truthfully all they've done is kissed a little, but Nagisa's mind is already clouded by thick desire. Still, he has it in him to contort his body a little, so they end up in a less awkward position on the bed. Thankfully Karma follows him, planting his knees either side of his legs so he doesn't crush him with his weight.

It's a strange sensation in some ways. Obviously there's a lot keeping his heart racing, but he's so comfortable it's almost relaxing. When Karma tugs his shirt up a little, slightly exposing his stomach, he just feels like melting. He could honestly, truly get lost in it. If not for the more urgent heat between his legs.

He ends up hissing a little against the feeling of his hand, just the sensation of skin on skin itself doing a lot of him. It's like everything pulses at once, overwhelming him. Like some kind of automatic reaction, Nagisa finds himself coiling his legs around Karma's hips, more like he's trying to restrain him than anything else. Whatever the case it's already not enough.

Karma looks down at him curiously. "Already?"

Instant heat rushes back up to his face. Admittedly, he's being weirdly desperate. Trying not to be deterred though, he squeezes. "Shut up."

Karma just grins impishly. "Hang on."

Nagisa's even a little reluctant to let him go. Not when he feels pretty right already like this. He forces himself to relax, though, giving Karma enough space to move out of his grip, up and off the bed. At least it gives him a second to actually breathe, resetting his mind a little. Of course, they're not getting anywhere without lube… It's a good thing Karma seems to know exactly which bag to dig around in.

"Wait," Nagisa says. And then, shyly, "condom."

Given how tired he is, he's not in any kind of mood to deal with time-consuming 'clean-up'. Karma doesn't seem to mind. Feeling a little weird about just watching him mess around with his bag, Nagisa works on removing his clothes. He figures they're just going to be stripped from him momentarily anyway. At least this way, his erection gets some relief. He climbs back onto the bed after, resting on his knees, feeling like that's a little more natural than just standing there.

Karma freezes when he turns back around though, his expression surprisingly hard to read.

"What?" Nagisa tilts his head.

Karma's eyes narrow as he stalks over, tossing everything haphazardly on the mattress beside him. Nagisa barely has time to react, before he's being kissed hard, like Karma's trying to leave a bruise on his lips. He climbs onto his knees too, but they still manage to press close. Close enough at least, Nagisa gasps at the feeling of Karma's rough clothes against his bare skin.

It feels good and all, but he'd prefer them off.

He ends up working on just that, which is harder than it should have been, Karma's hand in his hair proving to be a pretty significant distraction. Thankfully, he gives Nagisa enough room to work his top half off, which he tosses somewhere on the other side of the room. Karma pulls himself back when Nagisa works on the rest of his clothes, as though he just wants to watch him do it.

He's not sure how he ends up on his back, surprisingly comfortable considering Karma has his fingers in him, but it's bliss. He finds himself pushing back into it. Given the exhaustion of the day of travelling, a selfish part of him kind of wants to get off just like this. It's so easy to get lost, let the world blur away in favour of sensation.

"Am I boring you?" Karma draws his fingers out, though he looks more devious than annoyed.

Nagisa whimpers at the loss. "No."

"Oh really?" He drives a fist into his hair. "'Cos it looks like you need some waking up."

Next thing he knows, Karma's using his considerably higher physical strength to flip him over. Almost by instinct at this point, he repositions himself onto his knees so that they find some kind of leverage. It's an act that naturally causes his hips to cant up in a way that's somewhat reminiscent of a downwards dog pose.

Karma's hand tugging on his scalp feels like irresistible fire. Nagisa even misses it when he inevitably has to let go, presumably because it's not particularly easy to get a condom on one-handed. Not that he's left waiting for long before Karma squeezes his ass hard, almost to the point of mild pain. After so long (less than two weeks) without any action, it mostly just feels satisfying.

He doesn't feel the need to turn his head and watch him. In fact, it kind of helps him turn his thoughts down in favour of concentrating on feeling. It also means there's not much warning before Karma pushes into him, and not particularly slowly either. Without the chance to brace himself, Nagisa's rocked forwards, choking on his own gasp as his head essentially pushed down into the mattress.

Even Nagisa finds himself a little surprised at the sting Karma creates by filling him. They've been doing this so much recently it's stopped feeling remotely painful, especially if stretched out beforehand. Not that he dislikes it. Actually, the burn seems to be exactly what he needs, and all it takes is canting himself back into it for Karma to move.

He's not trying to draw this out in particular, Nagisa can tell that instantly. Nagisa's actually a little grateful for that. Maybe there's even a part of him that actually prefers it when Karma's rough with him, drilling up against his prostate with nearly scary precision. It's pretty hard to think about anything other than Karma like this.

Just when he feels like he might get off like this, Karma pulls him upright by the neck. He's not choking him, and there's very little pressure on his actual windpipe. Nagisa's all too happy to lean into it, with Karma's chest against his back and his hand on his hip. Karma's movements slow in this position, though each thrust is harder in turn.

The moment Karma's hand moves, Nagisa's head flops back onto Karma's shoulder. It's not like he's doing nothing here, in fact his knees have begun to automatically shift like they would if he was riding him. He rotates his neck a little, at first panting against Karma's neck, before he gains just enough self control they become purposeful kisses and nips.

Nagisa lets out a half broken sob when Karma finally wraps a hand around his aching erection. The combination of that on top of the internal stimulation is almost enough to make him white out on the spot. He's dangerously close all of a sudden, a deep burning heat in him ready to spill over at any second.

"W-wait," he gets out.

It takes Karma a moment to register the request, but he does pause his movements, moving his hand away. "Yeah?"

Despite it all, Nagisa still finds it in him to flush. "We'll still make a mess like this."

Karma seems a little confused as it washes over him, before pulling out with a groan. Nagisa tries to protest, because he certainly didn't mean stop, but Karma twists him onto his back before he can. At lighting speed, he has his legs apart and his mouth wrapped around his length. His only saving grace is the shock of it, otherwise he might have finished instantly.

Not that it really matters. With the intense suction and Karma's matching gaze, Nagisa's done for anyways. All he can do is moan nonsensically as his legs tremble hopelessly. All Karma has to do is let his teeth graze the head ever so slightly before he snaps, hips bucking off the mattress and further into Karma's throat. He can't even cover his mouth to quieten his yelp.

Well, he supposes that's one way to avoid making a mess…

Weakly, he tugs Karma's head off of him when it gets too much. Still, he feels a little selfish here. It's been a while for Karma since they did anything too… Honestly, 'post-nut clarity' is a myth as far as Nagisa's concerned. If anything, it just makes his thoughts less lucid and rational.

"You too," he mumbles.

Karma scans his face, expression a lot softer. "Are you sure?"

Nagisa can't find it in him to say much else, but he spreads his legs a little, hoping it's invitation enough. It doesn't seem to take much internal debate before Karma slides back into him at that point, and he's met with virtually no resistance. Nagisa whimpers, because it doesn't exactly feel good. It's not explicitly bad either though… Just a lot.

Given that Karma chooses to focus on himself, he doesn't last much longer. Nagisa wraps his thighs around his hips and squeezes hard, managing to revel in it to some extent. Before Nagisa passes the threshold of real discomfort Karma locks up on top of him, shuddering as he falls down onto his elbows, their bodies pressed even closer together. At the height of his sensitivity like this, Nagisa manages to feel the pulsing inside him. A part of him even regrets insisting on the condom.

Nagisa winces at the sensation of his pulling out, but finally manages to fall into a proper lull. He manages to not even mind being able to taste himself on Karma's tongue as he kisses him back into reality. He's so close to peace like this.

"Nagisa…"

He just hums contently in response.

Karma kisses the tip of his ear. "Don't just go to sleep."

"What if I want to?"

"C'mon," Karma practically manhandles him to his feet. "We're checking out the bathroom."

He has just about enough energy left in him to note that it's a pretty basic set up. In a place that feels pretty remote though, he can't complain about having access to pluming. Uncaring about the fact that Karma's basically holding him upright at this point, he lets himself be pulled into the shower.

At least it's only a rinse off, before Karma helps towel him dry. It doesn't do much to offset his drowsiness, though it's just about enough that he gets his pyjamas on before collapsing into Karma's arms. It's actually relatively warm here, but Nagisa can't shy away from Karma's grasp as he starts to let sleep finally take him over.

Admittedly, they haven't been holding back on the impromptu sleepovers recently. Though for them, that usually means a bleary and disoriented mess of too-early alarms and rushing to get up and out. There's a level of shame Nagisa's learnt to tolerate, but he wouldn't be able to face his students if he consistently showed up in last night's clothes.

Point being, their usual mornings are largely unromantic. And it's rare that he's still being held like this.

"G'morning," Karma says as he peers though his tousled hair, voice thick from sleep.

He should be illegal.

Nagisa does the intelligent thing, and dive rolls out of bed.

It's not like he can't stay wrapped up in Karma's arms until noon. But… they'd seriously spent so long travelling all this way, Nagisa's going to make the most of it. If Karma wanted to just laze around and have sex all week, they could have just done that at home. That means some serious sightseeing… mostly because Nagisa's not sure if he'll ever agree to flights like this again.

At least, given the tropical weather, even a cold shower isn't exactly unpleasant. In fact, it's even a little refreshing, with last night's activities only really leaving a light sting. Thankfully, this place provides guest towels, which he haphazardly tries around his waist once he's done. It's good enough to last him whilst he digs around his bag at least, considering he'd abandoned it the night before.

He's not sure what he was expecting, but he's not exactly surprised to find Karma asleep again in his absence, clutching onto the blankets in his place. Admittedly, it's probably a good thing, at least it means Nagisa doesn't have to deal with any distractions for a little bit. Sure, he wants to get out and make the most of their time, but that doesn't mean no sleeping in a little late at all.

The weird peace can't last forever, though.

"Karma." He shakes him eventually. "It's time to get up."

Karma doesn't open his eyes. "I'm busy."

Well, it wouldn't be him without some exasperation. "I'll go without you."

Even like that, Karma manages to flash his evil grin. "Have a fun trip, honey~."

"Don't call me that."

He finally looks at him. "Why don't you get in here and make me?"

Nagisa considers it, before he catches on. "I'm not falling for that."

"You nearly did, though."

He turns his back. "Get up before I throw water over you."

To his credit, Karma actually does, though Nagisa doubts it's because he actually felt threatened. He makes a show of stretching as he yawns, before stumbling over to the bathroom. He even breathes a sigh of relief at the sound of the shower. Honestly speaking, Nagisa's excited to go exploring, especially since he gets to do it with Karma.

Since he hardly needs to inspect Karma simply getting himself dressed (though, there's certainly worse uses of his time), Nagisa ends up stepping out onto the beach, considering it's right there and all. He can definitely see why he chose this place. It really does feel quite private, the small cove pretty much hidden from view by a relatively dense tree line. Other than that, it's all just white sands and gentle ocean.

"I'm guessing you approve, then?" Karma's voice comes from behind him.

"Mm," Nagisa hums. "I like it."

His breath catches, at the sensation of warm arms around him. "Good."

Nagisa tries to ignore all the feelings that make him want to melt. "Are you ready to go?"

"Demanding."

"I'm not demanding!" He protests.

Karma just laughs at him though. "Didn't say I minded." He lets go of him. "Where's first on your list?"

He mentally materialises it. "I thought we could go to the other island, s-since a lot of things are close together."

Since Karma doesn't actually argue with him, that's where they end up heading. Although Nagisa kind of thinks it's a little out of the way, considering they'd arrived from that direction the evening before, it seems to make sense to check off a whole combination of places he wants to see. Plus, it means no worrying about missing anything.

After a far less eventful ferry trip, they find themselves back on Upolu, though Karma actually drives them into the actual city this time. Well… it's meant to be the capital city. It feels a lot closer to a medium sized town. Though he supposes living in the biggest city in the world may have altered his sense of scale a little bit. The buildings weren't dense either, definitely a big difference from the looming Tokyo streets which were perfecting for creating the sense of being crammed in.

Hunger pretty much directs them to a large fresh produce market, which is admittedly pretty exciting. Nagisa can't help but blink in amazement at the rainbow of fruit and vegetables in front of him, which really stood in contrast to the corrugated metal roof above them. His stomach starts to rumble as he looks… though Karma's probably too tall to hear it.

Karma's eyes light up. "No way, look at the spices!"

He attempts to, but he can't really say anything before Karma marches off briskly, right towards the stall. Priority found, apparently. Nagisa's not actually bothered though, he knows how Karma feels about his spice collection… he just hopes he doesn't have to end up eating anything that'll burn off his tongue… Since raw chillies don't seem particularly appealing early in the morning, he drifts his way over to the fruit.

It's pretty hard to get anything 'exotic' back home, not without paying sacrificing a month's rent for the honour… Everything looks so appealing he barely knows where to start. There appears to be at least ten variations of banana he didn't even know existed, which seems a little advanced. He settles on a table stocked with fresh mangos, he's almost salivating right away.

"Talofa!" A middle-aged looking woman beams at him.

"T-Talofa," Nagisa tries his best to imitate the pronunciation. From the little bit he'd looked up about Samoan, he knows it means 'hello'. He's in a bit of trouble if he needs to know more than that though.

Her smile grows wider, which he hopes means he didn't mess up too badly. "Did you travel from far?"

Okay, English. He can do that. "From Japan," he says. "It's further than I thought."

"Japan," she nods. "My daughter loves sushi."

The rest of his tension relaxes. "Really? It's my favourite."

A light laugh. "How many do you want?"

"Uhm," Nagisa looks down at the table, unsure what a typical portion size is. Should he get one for Karma too? He looks over his shoulder. "Two?"

She nods, apparently following his eye line. "He's tall, needs to eat more. Take three." She eyes him again. "I'll cut one now."

Maybe a mind reader then? Whatever the case, Nagisa and his stomach are thankful. And impressed, too, at the clear skill she has with the knife. Just a few slashes here and the orange centre is exposed and into perfect edible cubes. He doubts he'll have much luck recreating it with the other two.

"Fa'afetai," he hands over the payment. Thank you. Or, he hopes it's thank you.

"Enjoy Samoa!"

Nagisa's not sure what the rules are here, for eating and walking, so he figures he should play it safe and keep to the edge of the market. With the first bite of the sweet, fresh flavour, he knows it was worth it. If he was planning on saving any of the slice for Karma to try right away, that plan quickly goes out the window. At least it's satiating enough. As breakfasts go, definitely not bad.

"What did you get?" Karma approaches him.

"Mangoes," he explains, wiping the mouth with the back of his hand. He looks at the bag Karma's carrying. "You got that many spices?"

He just grins. "I'll have to rearrange my shelf. So… where next?"

That's a good question. "There's a culture show that seemed interesting." Nagisa checks his phone briefly. "I think we can make it still."

"Okay," Karma seemingly just agrees. "Lead the way."

It's not like Nagisa was expecting him to argue or anything, but he still feels a sense of surprise. It's a little bit of a walk away anyway, but that's kind of nice. It's probably one of the better ways to take in the atmosphere. He's definitely glad they came early though, given how direct the sunlight is it probably wouldn't have been quite as fun at noon.

From what he'd researched it was a little hard to pin down what to expect from a cultural village demonstration. It's pretty interesting from the get go, or at least Nagisa thinks so, watching experienced hands effortlessly weave palm tree fonds together. In a way it's even mesmerising. There's more crafts to follow, but they're all equally as impressive. The traditional tattoo show has him wincing a little though.

"Cool," Karma says pretty sincerely at the demonstration, but then nudges him. "Think it would suit me?"

"They'd get you banned from places back home."

"Maybe it's worth it," Karma shrugs. "Maybe I'll get one with your name."

He blanches. "You wouldn't."

The worst part is he looks like he's contemplating. "Maybe I'll even get it in a heart sailor style…"

"Why would anyone want that?" He wrinkles his nose. "Seeing your name on someone all the time… it's a little…"

"It is pretty weird," Karma concedes. "One time I hooked up with this Australian guy who had a karma tattoo and he-"

Nagisa hushes him though, as the guide says something else. Admittedly, he also just doesn't want to know. It's not like he feels possessive or anything… No, definitely not. He's not like that. Even if he ends up clenching his fists in his pocket for the remainder of the explanation. Thankfully, as it goes mango isn't the most filling meal ever, so lunch cooked in a traditional umu earth oven is more than enough to take his mind off it.

"Okay," Karma says, "good suggestion."

He hates the way his cheeks heat up just a bit. Whatever, he'll just claim it's the tropical sun. "You're not just saying that because of the food." Admittedly the food is pretty amazing.

Karma hums. "The dancing's fun."

It really is. Once Nagisa drops a little of his self consciousness, he's really glad they came. Even though he's probably not picking up all the information, it still feels like he's learnt a lot. It even makes him feel a little bad, that he doesn't feel particularly connected to much of his own 'traditional culture', unless you count sushi.

"S-so," Nagisa says after the show is completely over, "there's one more place I was interested in."

Karma looks down at him. "One?" He laughs. "I saw your list."

"I think it'll take a good amount of time though," he defends, "and I think we have to drive there. I-it was well recommended though!"

He realises that checking out a museum is probably not at the top of Karma's ideal list. Again, he doesn't complain though… Nagisa just wishes he could read his thoughts a little better. Despite the drive not taking long at all, all of a sudden it feels like they're truly in the middle of a jungle. The museum itself is a pretty stark contrast then, the colonial house set back from a meticulously manicured lawn looking somewhat imposing.

"I guess this is it?" Nagisa checks his list again. "The Robert Louis Stevenson Museum… I think he was a famous author?"

Karma nods, before recognition seems to cross his face. "Wait, you don't know Treasure Island?"

It rings a bell. "I'm not sure?"

His eyes are wide though. "It's like, the pirate novel."

"Ah."

Pirates again, then? As if one date involving pirates wasn't already enough?

…Is this a date? At least, it's not so different to their other dates. If dates involve going out to places with your boyfriend… Nagisa's not sure how that system applies to a trip like this. Is the whole thing just one date or does it break down into day by day segments? It's times like this where he wishes this whole relationship thing wasn't so confusing.

"He was an interesting guy," Karma continues. "Big anti-imperialist."

Nagisa looks at him. "Where did you hear that?"

"In my 1800s European literature class," he shrugs.

It turns out he doesn't need to ask, because the museum's tour guide ends up giving a pretty thorough explanation. Nagisa finds himself listening with rapt attention. Karma was right it seems, the author does sound quite interesting. Obviously he doesn't know much about what it would have been like to be a Scottish author in the late 1800s, but he can understand why someone would want to build their home in a place as beautiful as this.

The actual house is pretty interesting too, though he's not sure how much of it is actually original. It's all pretty ornate, presented like a glimpse into the past. If he lets his eyes drift away from the window, it really does feel like he's in a different country. Perhaps even another universe.

"Thanks for the school trip, Sensei~" Karma drawls afterwards, stretching himself out.

Nagisa blinks, realising the sun is already starting to set. "Sorry," his eyes look downwards. "I guess it did take all day."

"Why are you sorry?" Karma tilts his head. Before Nagisa can actually answer him though, he lets out a heavy sigh. "Want to grab a bite to eat?"

"S-sure!"

Naturally, Karma's idea of 'a bite to eat' is just a little different from Nagisa's. Or so he discovers with slight horror at the sight of the literal resort he's been taken to. Well, the restaurant itself is on top of a small pier over the water, but it still feels like it's definitely not the kind of place for the shorts he's currently wearing.

"Don't you think we're a little underdressed?" Nagisa hisses.

Karma just shrugs though. "It seems fine to me."

He's still not sure he believes him, but the waitress doesn't say anything. Somehow it's even fancier closer up, the table equipped with multiple variations of the cutlery in different sizes, a couple of candles, and some scattered flower petals. Nagisa doesn't even know where to begin, he's not exactly accustomed to this kind of situation.

This is probably pretty 'date like', right? If anything, it's the closest to what he previously would have described as a typical date that they've had. He almost feels a little awkward. Weirdly he didn't have to try and drag a topic out of the crevices of his mind when they were sitting in children's themed restaurants!

"I-it's really warm here," Nagisa says. And then screams internally because really? Talking about the weather? That's the best he can come up with?!

Karma's head tilts. "You just noticed?"

Right, small talk doesn't really work when you've spent the entire day with someone already…

Nagisa quickly picks up the menu, mostly to shield the redness on his face. "I was just s-surprised," despite his barrier, he's still keeping his eyes fixed down. "Even though the sun's already setting."

"Nagisa." Karma says it dryly, expectant. Nagisa lowers the menu just a little and tries to look him in the eye. At least he doesn't seem irritated. "Don't tell me I have to explain junior high science to you."

He drops the menu and glares. "No."

"Anyway, usually scientists really don't want to surprised. That's why you write a whole hypothesis before doing something, because you already expect a result."

Nagisa understands Karma's just trying to get a rise out of him. But then he thinks of something. "Penicillin!"

"Huh?"

He hadn't meant to say it so loudly, but… He leans back. "It was discovered because a petri dish was accidentally contaminated with mould. Which was probably pretty surprising."

Karma just grins. "That the kind of moral you promote to your students?"

"Not exactly…"

Thankfully, he turns his attention to the menu instead. "Hey, they have sashimi!"

For once in his life, Nagisa feels like it's not the best time to order sushi. Then again, it seems like the menu is mostly comprised of seafood as it is. He supposes that's just something that comes in hand with being an island nation though.

"Wanna share this?" Karma points at literally the most expensive item on the menu.

"Won't it be a little much?"

He leans his elbow on the table, using it to support his chin inn his hand. "That's why I suggested sharing."

"Sure," Nagisa says, just glad for the choice to be over.

He can't really fault that the actual dish when it arrives. Then again, it would be pretty hard to do that with the filled to the brim seafood platter, the centrepiece of which is two full lobsters. Naturally the food is pretty good, but Nagisa doesn't pay much attention. No, the sun happens to be setting, and it makes Karma look near radiant. He simply can't help but stare.

"All done?" The waitress looks between them, a wry smile on her face as she takes the plate. "Honeymoon?"

Of course, such a comment instantly makes Nagisa go red from head to toe.

Karma leans back in his chair casually. "You got us."

Somehow, Nagisa misses the rest of the conversation because all he can hear is dial-up tones. Why would he say that?! And so casually?! Sure, Nagisa can understand why the waitress might have made such an assumption, but there's no need to go along with it? It's not like it would have been to spare her from embarrassment…

"What's that face?" Karma asks when she's gone.

"W-why would you tell her that?!" Nagisa splutters.

Karma tilts his head. "Thought she might give us free dessert."

That doesn't seem like a good reason at all! It's- it's not like he has a problem with it. Fundamentally speaking at least. It's just… Just Karma trying to extort an unwitting kind person. Nothing weird about that! Morally questionable, sure, but Nagisa's built up a tolerance over the years. As long as Karma's not beating up anyone in a back alley, he can turn a blind eye.

It's not like Karma's actually thought about it… right?

…Thought about the inevitability of a relationship and… not minded?

"Let's just get the cheque!" He practically squeaks out, just before she approaches again.

Despite the entire trip back to the small beach house being definitely not silent, Nagisa can't really take much in. No, the white noise in his head permeates far louder than the sound of the car engine. Or maybe he really has just reached his information capacity for the day. Whatever the case, he's pretty happy to get back to the room.

"I'm beat," Karma says, slumping down against the cushions.

A part of Nagisa questions that, considering the amount of sleep he's had in the past few days. Then again, they have been walking a lot today… Even though Nagisa feels pretty satisfied about everything they managed to see already, it was admittedly quite a lot. Maybe he'll just let his grudge subside, at least for now.

"You're not going to sleep like that, are you?"

Karma only opens one eye. "So what if I am?"

"You're all sticky," Nagisa wrinkles his nose.

Karma just hums, which isn't a good sign for him doing much about it. Nagisa really feels the lack of the bath in this place. At least he would have been able to passive aggressively start running the water or something. On the other hand, something about Karma's weary expression tugs at his heart strings. Like that vague annoyance gets repaired with bubbly love feelings.

"…I'll come shower with you."

Despite remaining largely still, Nagisa can see the conflict dance across Karma's face. "Ugh, what have I done?"

"Huh?"

Karma just flips up onto his feet though. "You're just…" he stops in favour of grabbing Nagisa by the wrist. "C'mon then."

When they actually reach the bathroom, though, things remain pretty innocent. It's a little weird, considering they're stripped fully naked, but whatever contact occurs between them feels like the opposite of charged. Instead they just stand facing each other underneath the shower spray, with the water turned down to a refreshing lukewarm to wash off the day. Admittedly, Karma's hands in his hair do feel pretty soothing, especially as he lathers in the shampoo. He kind of wishes it wasn't so difficult to return the favour.

The mood continues like that once they're done, wrapped in the fluffy towels. Nagisa might need to actually buy one of these… There's not much he feels the need to say after that, but it doesn't feel like an uncomfortable quiet. It's not long until he's dressed in his sleep shirt and shorts, and Karma just in his boxers. This time when he reclines though, Nagisa happily joins him.

"We'll do what you want tomorrow," Nagisa promises, somehow feeling the need to.

Karma just hums for a moment, before turning over on his side to face him. "I had fun though," he brushes a loose strand of hair from Nagisa's forehead.

For some crazy reason, Nagisa almost feels like telling him he loves him. Instead though, he swallows it down and grabs Karma's hand underneath the covers. It's easy to feel boneless like this, especially with the way Karma's thumb delicately strokes against his wrist, steadying him out like a metronome.

Nagisa has no real memory of even beginning to fall asleep, only that he blinks and somehow the morning light is streaming in. On top of feeling pretty well rested, relatively speaking, Karma's still out of it. And… Karma's cute when he's asleep, and he just so happens to be resting in the perfect angle for Nagisa to look at him. If only everyday could start like this… For some reason, maybe out of sleep grogginess, the thought doesn't freak him out as much as usual.

He's really not sure what possesses him, but Nagisa shifts a little, testing how much he can move without disturbing Karma. Thankfully, Past Nagisa helpfully placed his phone right on the nightstand, which turns out to be just within his range of motion. Then he hesitates. Is this kind of creepy? It's just… the idea of waking up to Sleepy Karma every day could so easily become a reality. He won't actually mind, right? He can always delete it… In a burst of adrenaline, Nagisa turns and snaps the photo. Click. In and out, just like that. He instantly falls back against the mattress, clutching his phone to his chest as heat spreads rapidly to his cheeks. No movement beside him. Cautiously, he opens up his camera roll and takes a peek. It's a good photo! Feeling vindicated, Nagisa sets it as his home screen before he can change his mind.

When Karma does wake up, he seems to be completely unaware of Nagisa's actions. Rather, he just tugs him into his arms lazily, holding their bodies flush together. That's nice too. Well, Nagisa did say they could do whatever Karma wants today…

"Too early," Karma murmurs, though it's not prompted by anything.

"You woke up on your own this time."

"S'bright."

Nagisa smiles lightly to himself. "I can't do much about the sun."

"No? Then what am I dating you for?"

He knows Karma's just teasing him, but Nagisa can't think of any kind of response. Just like that, his heart starts hammering uncomfortably. Sometimes that's a question he asks himself. Karma could clearly date anyone he really wanted to… Nagisa's just not sure why that happens to be him, even though he's gotten to the point where he does trust that it is him…

"I wanted to go get a tan," Karma sighs in continuation. "But I don't wanna move."

Nagisa decides to try his best to snap out of it. "The sea does look pretty nice…"

"Maybe I'll throw you in it."

Nagisa's pretty happy he decided to buy extra fruit at the market yesterday, it makes a pretty tasty breakfast – which is what he chooses to do in lieu of being tossed into the ocean first thing in the morning. It's for their own good anyway. He's pretty sure Karma would actually just stay in bed all day if Nagisa went along with it.

Apparently though, Karma does actually like the idea of sunbathing, and his minor complaints disappear by the time he's changed into his swimwear. One look at his honed physique and Nagisa considers that staying in bed might be the best idea after all… He looks like he's starting to head towards the door, though, and that snaps him out of it.

Nagisa frowns. "You're not going out like that?"

"What do you mean?"

"You-you'll burn like that!" He digs around for his own bottle of sun cream. "And even if you don't… the UV is bad!"

A malicious grin appears on Karma's face. "You're worried~"

"Fine." Nagisa huffs. "Get a skin disease for all I care."

"Nagisa~" Karma pulls him forward by his arm. Not that he bothers to resist him.

Nagisa finds himself glaring, before squirting a dollop into his hand. "Sit."

Surprisingly, Karma does it without any further complaint. Maybe it's the rubbing lotion all over his chest part he's cool with. Unfortunately for him, Nagisa's really not being sensual about it. No, if anything, he's being efficient. Perhaps a little violent, with the way he practically slaps it over the back of his neck.

Karma looks up at him, amused. "Good?"

"It'll do."

As it turns out, Karma really wasn't kidding about just wanting to sunbathe. It leaves Nagisa with a bit of a predicament though, since he's really not great at just… doing nothing. He ends up sitting with a copy of Treasure Island he picked up at the museum the day before. Unfortunately it's only in English, which is a little bit of a headache even in a children's book.

He feels content, though. Maybe there's something to this, relaxing in the warmth with the lulling sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore. At the very least, he manages to switch off whatever part of him was worried about getting to see everything. To the extent that his sense of time itself starts to slip into obscurity.

"-gisa?"

Nagisa jolts. Maybe he got a bit too absorbed in the book.

"Huh?"

"Were you even listening?"

He sets the book down beside him on his beach towel, face down so he won't lose his place. "You asked something?"

There's a flicker in Karma's eyes for just a split second. It's enough for Nagisa to recognise he's in danger, but the movement is too quick to actually stop. Next thing he knows, he's roughly six foot in the air and horizontal, being held in some imitation of a fireman's lift. Is this what the world looks like to Karma? Before he can think too much about it though, Karma strides right into the sea.

"Put me down!" Nagisa bashes the back of his shoulder.

"Okay," Karma says cheerfully, and then drops him into the ocean, before doubling over with laughter.

He's not super deep, given he can just about stand up, but the water's still up to his neck. Nagisa peels his now wet hair out of his eyes and glares as hard as he can, but Karma evidently still thinks he's funny. Enough that he's not actually looking at Nagisa. It seems like a good chance, so Nagisa opts to dive underneath the water and grab Karma's leg. Ordinarily he wouldn't have been able to do much, but it catches Karma off guard, causing him to trip over.

Karma spits out some of the water he must have accidentally swallowed. "Hey!"

"You deserved that," he says. And then splashes him in the face for good measure.

"You're on."

Unfortunately for him, Nagisa's flexibility advantage pretty much disappears in the water, so Karma's longer reach almost instantly incapacitates him. He struggles for a bit, but ultimately once Karma has his arms around him Nagisa's out of options, or at least ones that won't actually hurt. Yield it is, then.

"Hey, want to go somewhere fun?"

Nagisa looks up at him suspiciously. "Where?"

He just rolls his eyes. "C'mon and you'll find out."

As it turns out, they don't end up going far. Nagisa had a taste of Karma's idea of fun the night before, so he makes sure to dress himself in a button down shirt at the very least. He regrets it a little though, since Karma insisted on walking. At first, it seemed like it might be a repeat when they arrive at a place that at least resembles a resort, but the set up is definitely less explicitly fancy.

"The main part is the show," Karma explains, "but there's also food."

The food looks pretty great, and at least Nagisa doesn't feel guilty about eating any of it. Since it's more of a buffet, he makes sure to grab a few bites of everything. He's never been much of a fussy eater so it's not like it would have been a problem, but it all genuinely tastes pretty amazing too. It definitely feels a little more authentic.

The FiaFia show begins pretty shortly after that, and Nagisa finds himself entirely absorbed in it. The series of dances are impressive to say the least, and he feels like he's actually learning something. Once the fire dancers come out however… his thoughts kind of devolve into 'cool!'. He's almost a little disappointed when it's over, having been drawn into their mesmerising movements.

It's a good way to end the day though, he definitely can't deny that. His heart also flutters given this was Karma's idea. Though, he seemed pretty engaged with the show too, so it's not like it was just for him or anything… Thankfully, before he can say anything stupid, a smiley woman comes over to the table and sets down two drinks, seemingly flitting away with the same dancer's grace.

"What is it?" He asks Karma, since the woman is already gone, but he's not so confident he actually knows.

Karma shrugs. "Kava. I guess it's some kind of herbal drink."

So it's probably not alcohol, which Nagisa has sworn off forever. He takes a sip, though it doesn't sit too well on his tongue. It's very earthy, a bit like tea that's brewed for far too long. It's not so bad he can't swallow it though. Assuming it's a kind of gift though, Nagisa feels a sense of duty to keep drinking it. The global laws of hospitality are nearly identical in that regard.

"I enjoyed it," he says, thinking back to the show. "Thank you."

Karma considers him, and then hums in agreement. "I thought you would."

Nagisa starts to feel this heaviness come over him, and then the taste stops mattering so much. It's a little like being drunk, except he's fully aware of his surroundings. Everything else is just… lighter. Almost like rolling around in zero gravity. Every other thought buzzing around in the back of his mind appears to fade away like that.

"Are you good?" Karma asks.

He sighs. "Never better."

And he really means it. What did Karma say this was? Kava? He needs to invest in a vat of this stuff. Ha. It kind of sounds like Karma. Nagisa can't hold in his light giggles at that fact. To be fair, he'd also be pretty happy with a vat fully of Karma too…

"What's so funny?" Karma looks lightly amused at least.

Nagisa considers his face might have settled into this smiley state. "I like your face."

"Huh?"

He laughs again. "You're turning pink. You like that I like your face."

If anything, he turns a little redder. "Am not."

"Are too."

"Am not-"

He notices motion around them. "I think they're clearing everyone out."

Nagisa gets to his feet, which feel iron heavy in contrast to the lightness of his head. He extends a hand to Karma, which he takes without question. Nagisa obviously feels gleeful at that. He likes holding Karma's hand in general of course, but it also feels useful to have a little bit of support given the feeling in his legs. At least he can still move them… at least carrying him away from the resort property.

"Okay," Karma finally says in the darkness. "So what if I do… like that."

He thinks for just a brief moment, before tugging Karma down by the hand and kissing him. Since he can't clearly form the right words to explain, it feels like a good choice. There's still a minor voice inside him, chewing up at acting this way. It's like that voice has been heavily muffled though, so it's easy enough to ignore. He knows he means everything, at least. As it turns out, it's a lot easier to act upon without his nerves holding him back.

"Then I'll tell you you're pretty again."

Nagisa can't actually see his face so clearly now they're lacking in lighting. He can feel the way his face heats under his touch, though. Pretty isn't always the right word for Karma. There are lots of times it is though, and his cherry red dumbfounded expression is one of them. Maybe cute is better… but it doesn't feel strong enough somehow.

"I want to go back now," Nagisa says. He doesn't mention that the main reason is getting to see Karma in real lighting.

"Right." Karma's voice sounds tight.

The rest of the short walk back feels like it should have been tense, but that sensation just slips off his shoulders. They drift towards the threshold, unlock the door, and then there's the electricity. Karma's face is tinted a lovely shade of pink still. He wishes he could paint a portrait of him like this.

"What's that smile for?"

It's like hitting the pause button on his fantasy. "Can't I be happy?"

"That's not-"

Something surges through him though, and he pulls Karma towards him by his shirt. "Then let go."

His expression relaxes, as he lets himself be walked backwards towards the bed. Nagisa's not actually sure what his goal with that is, but he finds he doesn't question himself so much. It's much easier to kiss Karma like this anyway, basically pushing him onto the mattress and climbing into his lap. At least it takes cares of their height difference…

It's strange, because despite the rapidly rising heat and the sparks that always seem to come when they kiss like this, Nagisa doesn't really feel much of a desperation. No, rather than ripping his shirt in two, he feels content with slowing working his buttons open, all of this sensation more like waves lapping against the sand than an intense tsunami.

At some point, Karma apparently has enough of holding this position and flops back against the mattress. Whilst Nagisa considers handling his own clothing, there's something he wants to do more. Namely, deal with the exposed chest right in front of him.

"I don't know how you manage to look this good," he admits, digging his fingers into Karma's firm pectorals. "I've never actually seen you work out."

Karma lets out a shallow laugh. "It's all the milk, keeps me strong."

He leans down, running the tip of his tongue around one of his nipples. "Mmm?"

It almost sounds like a light whimper leaves his lips. Nagisa's certain he feels his chest tense up though. He knows Karma likes this, he's just too shy to start playing with his nipples usually. For a moment he just stays there, lulled by Karma's heavy breathing, and a satisfaction washes over him at the feel of Karma's hands digging into his hair.

He moves his head away, though, licking his tongue down the rest of his torso until he can't go any further. Nagisa lets himself sit up properly, which gives him a great overall view. Karma's face is almost as red as his chest, pupils blown wide in obvious arousal. For once in his life, Nagisa doesn't feel much need to debate with himself about what he wants.

Actually, he adjusts his own trousers at first, since they're getting a little uncomfortable, before sliding his fingers between Karma's buttons, ultimately unfastening them. The sound of the zipper cuts through the room, but Nagisa's undeterred.

He climbs off him, though, planting his feet back on the ground. "Take them off."

From this kind of angle, it's less awkward than Nagisa attempting to strip them anyway. In the meantime… the handy travel sized lube is within easy reach, since neither of them thought to store it anywhere other than the nightstand. When he turns back around, Karma's already worked the rest of his clothes off, boxers and all.

Though he's still not rushing, he doesn't think long before climbing back onto the bed, though this time he nudges his legs further apart to make room between them. He puts the bottle down for a moment, more captivated by Karma's semi. Somehow Nagisa can't find it weird right then, that he thinks it's just as pretty as the rest of him.

He leans himself down again, though he presses his lips against Karma's thigh. As much as he wants to suck him down, he's enjoying watching Karma squirm a little. Almost like he wants to test how far he's allowed to go with it. Well, Nagisa trusts Karma knows how to protest if he actually has a problem with it.

With one arm acting as a brace, he reaches for the lube again, managing to open it and get some coating his fingers, though he's pretty sure he leaves a bit of a mess in doing so. He presses his mouth against Karma's skin again, a distraction as he finds his mark and pushes his finger all the way inside in one go.

Nagisa wasn't exactly expecting Karma to seize up and arch his back, but he supposes his head might have been blocking his view, taking him by surprise. Thankfully, even though Nagisa's starting to notice his reaction speed is a little lower than usual, he manages to move more upright in time. This isn't so bad either though.

Sitting up at least gives him a little more leverage, so he splays Karma's legs further apart, allowing him some more flexibility. He works his finger in and out a few times, though remembers not to wait too long before adding another. Not that he's done this many times, but he's always seemed to just want to get past this bit.

Hips still again, Nagisa decides to press kisses against Karma's other thigh, before licking a trail up to his hipbones. He has a pretty good idea of where Karma probably wants his mouth, but since he's apparently content to just lie there and pant a little, Nagisa doesn't feel like giving it to him. Instead, he moves back to his inner thigh, both fingers still moving.

Nagisa pulls his fingers out, admiring briefly the way the lube catches the light. He pours some more directly over his entrance, before pausing momentarily. He's never really admired here before. Though, predictably, there's not one spec on Karma's body he doesn't find endless fascinating. It's not really a conscious decision, but Nagisa finds himself kissing against his entrance, giving it the same treatment as his thigh.

Karma immediately bucks back into it, yelping out something that Nagisa doesn't hear too well.

He looks up from his position, meeting his eyes innocently. "Is something wrong?"

The expression Karma wears is something like disbelief. He opens his mouth, but snaps it shut again like he doesn't actually know what to say.

"You should answer when someone asks you a question," Nagisa says, tracing him with his finger.

"Keep going," Karma eventually says, though he's pretty quiet with it.

Nagisa doesn't feel like being mean, so he pushes his fingers back inside, and presses his mouth just beside them. As it turns out, he has to sacrifice most of his motion with his fingers, going for more of a grind as he licks around them. Given the series shaky gasps and actual moans, though, he thinks Karma is probably okay with it.

It's not unpleasant, though mostly all he can taste is lube. Given the position of his head it's a little harder to breathe than simply blowing him, though the heat of it all surprises him. It's not like Karma's ever silent in bed, but he hasn't made such a long series of high pitched sounds like this before. Nagisa takes that like he's turned on. Maybe a little bit too turned on. With little else distracting him, Nagisa finds himself tuning into Karma's consciousness. More than anything, he can sense how tightly wound he is, like he's about to snap.

Nagisa sits up again, and notices Karma's most certainly fully hard by now. "This looks painful," he runs a finger slowly up the underside of his erection, applying just enough pressure.

"Nagisa, if you don't-" his throat sounds scratchy. "I swear to-"

He tilts his head. "You'll do what?"

Karma clamps his legs around him hard, more like he's trying to get out of some kind of martial arts pin. "Clothes off."

Nagisa decides not to mess with him much further. He's pretty much rock hard too at this point, and his trousers are getting painful now he thinks about it. He doesn't purposely take much time then, as he pulls his shirt over his head and shimmies out of the rest of it leaving him just as bare as Karma. It's only fair.

He squirts more lube into the palm of his hand before applying it to himself liberally. It seems so easy this time, guiding himself to press in. There's very little resistance though, so he finds himself grasping onto Karma's leg to keep himself steady as he buries himself until their hips are as flush as they can be from this angle.

Karma cries out as he does it, hands digging into the sheets. That lights something up within Nagisa. Though, no matter what, it's kind of hard to ignore how good Karma feels around him. He plants one of his hands on Karma's waist and uses it for just a little more leverage as he slowly draws himself most of the way out before sinking back in again.

Almost like meditating, Nagisa manages to detach just slightly from the incredible physical sensation of it all. Thankfully, he's the type to pay attention. He knows now Karma seems to prefer this slow and measured, forceful thrusts rather than quick jabs. Admittedly, he already looks pretty debauched, close to the edge as it is.

"Nnn," Karma sounds out, though Nagisa's not sure if it's just a moan or if he's trying to say his name.

His mouth hangs open when Nagisa runs his hands along his body. Honestly, all he wants to do is just feel him everywhere. Maybe because Nagisa's admittedly in love with him everywhere. He's not sure what's caused Karma to be so out of it… even if a dark part of him likes it. And then he starts to think about how good he'd look tipping from the edge. It gives him a surge of energy and their hips clash together hard.

Karma yelps out at that, so he does it again. And then again. Nagisa figures he's probably found exactly the spot, so he keeps hitting it pretty much as hard as he physically can. Karma might be saying something or other, but it's all jumbled. Just like before, he can tell he's relatively close, sensing the level of tension.

Nagisa drifts his hand down to his erection and jerks him as firmly as he can manage whilst holding himself upright. That's all it takes until his head snaps back, exposing the length of his throat as he falls over the edge.

He didn't even notice, but Nagisa must have been close himself. The way Karma tightens around him is enough to hit him, and then he doesn't have much control at all. He topples forwards, teeth finding purchase in the juncture of Karma's neck and shoulder, as he spills himself into him for what feels like full minutes.

"Shit," Karma finally says, still panting for breath.

Nagisa just barely has enough strength to pull out and collapse on his back at Karma's side, the entire room spinning.

Karma lets out what might be a chuckle of disbelief.

He feels the same. There's a lack of good words. Nagisa knows it's lazy, but it's all he can do to weakly grab the corner of the sheet and wipe Karma's release from his stomach. He presses a kiss to Karma's jaw, before wrapping his arms around him as much as he can. It's still a while before he feels restful, though. Karma holds him back, just like that, until their heartbeats start to slow down.

When he wakes, it doesn't feel anything like a hangover. If anything, he's reinvigorated, ready to climb a mountain even. Of course, with the effects of… whatever that was worn off, embarrassment slams into him like a ton of bricks. All the things he said… and did. He might just die right here and never come out again.

"You slept well," Karma says. He attempts an easy smile, standing by the bathroom doorway in nothing but a towel, but Nagisa can read through it well enough.

"I guess…"

Is he limping?!

Nagisa almost breaks out into a cold sweat. He hadn't… it wasn't that… His internal breakdown is halted by a pooling of heat towards his groin. Seriously? He's horrified by himself, and immediately tries to slam his thighs together. Unfortunately, that actually makes it worse. Why is he even turned on by the idea of hurting him?

He's a sexual deviant.

Then again, if he thinks back… honestly not that far, this would probably be pretty minor given some of their escapades. I want you to hurt me. He'd said that once. And loved that feeling. But maybe it's just different… on the other side. Karma doesn't look bothered or anything. He trusts that Karma would tell him that at least.

"We should change these," Karma tugs at the bedsheets.

In that moment, Nagisa notices the mess. Oh no. Still, disturbingly, he finds himself at near half mast at that revelation. In a flurry of minor panic that he's certainly not proud of, Nagisa throws the sheets over Karma's head and practically dives towards the bathroom himself. Probably not good bedroom manners… or proportionate action…

He's kind of glad, though, considering he didn't redress at any point. Cold shower it is then. At least that does the trick, both of killing his boner and resharpening his senses a little. He hisses at the sting of water against his back, reminding him of the scratches. They're fine, right? It's not like Karma didn't ask for it anyway… several times, and loudly. So there's nothing to feel bad about. At least, that's what he tells himself after he steps out of the shower spray, wrapping a towel around his waist.

Still. "I'm sorry," comes out of his mouth the minute they lock eyes.

This time, Karma does actually seem a little annoyed, already dressed as he stands beside the clean bed. "You better be."

So now maybe Nagisa hurt him and he's forced him to clean up on his own.

"I am."

"So Nagisa…" he leans casually against the bed frame. "Do you have this obsession with telling me I'm hot or something?"

"Wha-"

His eyes rake over him. "You've done it twice now under the influence. And they say that's when someone's at their most honest anyway. So what gives, hm?"

"I don't get it," Nagisa mutters, ignoring the question. "You drunk the same as me anyway."

Karma shoots him a look, before gesturing their heights.

"…Oh. Right."

"So~?"

Of course he wouldn't let it go so easily. "No comment."

At least Karma gives him a little bit of respite. Enough for him to actually get himself dressed, though that's not saying much. Honestly, since Nagisa hasn't actually mentioned anything, he's surprised Karma didn't just take the opportunity to lie around on the beach all day again.

"So," Karma's voice makes him jolt just a little. "Whatcha wanna do?"

Honestly, he's a little surprised. "Are you sure you're okay to…"

His face morphs into a pout. "I'm fine."

"Really?"

"Blow me away."

That actually gives Nagisa a bit of inspiration. So long as he tries to ignore the way Karma shifts in the seat of the car at least, it might even be enjoyable. At the top of his list is the aloofaaga blowholes, which admittedly look a lot better in person than the few photos he glimpsed whilst researching places to visit.

They formed as a result of a bad volcanic eruption, or so The Internet told him. The lava flowing into the ocean created a new landmass, and the pressure of the strong waves being pushed underneath causes huge geyser-like spurts of water. It's impressive visually, but Nagisa can't get over a sort of innate sense of danger. That may have something to do with having to dodge a stray coconut, launched out of the blowhole like a projectile.

"Okay," Karma says. "If the coconuts are like that, I can see how they're deadly."

Nagisa kind of wants to protest that simply falling from a tree is definitely enough to do some serious damage, but he decides to just accept the admission for what it is.

It's not like Nagisa's list of destinations is crazy or anything, though he figures they should forgo anything that involves hiking. Mostly, that just leaves sightseeing, including a few waterfalls. It feels easy, standing there with Karma, a few comments here and there shared between them. He almost wonders if he's still slightly under the influence of that kava.

He's comfortable, or so he begins to realise. Not that spending time with Karma before made him feel uncomfortable. It's more like the experience wouldn't be any better alone. Like Karma's just started to blend in, an unquestionable addition to any scenario that he barely even needs to think about, just like how he doesn't consciously remember he's wearing shoes at every given moment. In the same time, he'd be a little lost without them, or him in this case. Should he be scared of that?

The thought shifts in and out of his mind, considering Karma's greatest talent might actually be 'being distracting'. Admittedly, Nagisa also doesn't want to dwell on the idea of being without Karma either. Especially since he has no indication that would even happen… right? This entire trip was his suggestion in the first place, after all.

The takeout pizza they end up getting helps. It's hard to delve too deeply into negative emotions when you're eating objectively amazing pizza on a private beach as the sun sets over the horizon. Perhaps it isn't traditional cuisine, but it was rated number one on trip advisor and hey, local favourites are just as valid.

Karma groans then, falling back so he's lying out in a sort of starfish pose. "Better than Dominoes."

Considering he doesn't get pizza delivery very often, Nagisa's not sure he can contribute much to any objective ranking. "Probably."

Eyeing the box for a moment, Karma flashes an expression of mock horror. "You're not leaving the crusts."

"I wasn't!"

Karma scoffs though. "Do I even know you, criminal?"

"Sauce," Nagisa gestures. "I'm saving them."

It's so mundane and insignificant. He's not sure why he's revelling in it so much. Usually they have to fill each other in on at least a few days' events. But considering they've been attached at the hip for a few days now, it's not like there's anything to catch up on. In a weird way, it even reminds him of being in junior high again. Not that he and Karma were on the best terms for the entirety of that.

How will it feel when they go back to not being in each other's constant orbit? Of course, it's not like they've gone more than a few waking hours without communicating in some form recently, but a few text messages or even calls aren't the same. It's not going to be the same as speaking aloud the most objectively boring commentary but failing to get tired of it.

Even after they've finished the food, crusts and all, neither of them make any suggestion to head back inside. So, they stay put, and the night sky takes over. Far enough from major lighting sources, the stars are amazingly clear. He's only ever seen what feels like the whole galaxy, in all its gradients of colour like this, in photographs before. The moon shines brightest of all though, still visibly fragmented but seemingly becoming more and more 'normal' looking with every passing night.

"Maybe city life is overrated," Karma says, apparently thinking the same thing.

"Hmm."

He looks at Nagisa curiously. "Do you know what that one is?"

Nagisa squints, attempting to follow the line of Karma's arm. "I don't think so."

"My parents mostly taught me how to look for the northern star," he says. "But that doesn't work here. I think that one's Aquarius." He gestures just beneath the moon.

"Like the zodiac?"

Karma nods. "It's based on Zeus' twink boyfriend."

Way to ruin the moment.

"No way is that true."

A troublesome smirk grows across his face. "Sure it is. Maybe you need to take that literature class."

Nagisa's jaw just hangs open. There's a lot of things he wants to say, but they all blur together so nothing comes out at all. Next thing he knows, Karma's going to tell him he learnt the answer to life itself in that class… Karma doesn't seem that bothered by Nagisa's stare, though, simply springing up to stand and stretch himself out.

"I feel like going for a swim. You coming?"

He blinks, following Karma's cue to get to his feet. "Sure?" But confusingly, Karma doesn't turn to head back indoors, where his swimming trunks definitely are. "What are you doing?"

"You've never skinny dipped before?"

He averts his eyes. "O-of course not."

"Well," Karma thumbs his chin, tilting his head back up to make him meet his eyes. "It's up to you if you want to join in."

It's a little impressive how quickly he manages to slip out of his shirt. Nagisa just finds himself a little stunned, stuck watching Karma's face more than anything. Like he's just disappeared into mist, the next thing Nagisa knows, he's standing in front of a pile of clothes. All he can hear is Karma's light laughter, and the slow clash of the waves against the sand.

He feels Karma's eyes on all of him, as he fiddles with the material of his own outfit. A little ridiculous, considering how many times Karma's seen him naked at this point. Still, even with the relative privacy of this place there's something objectively different about doing it completely outside. At least the darkness offers just a little bit of cover…

The water turns out to be relatively warm, as he gingerly steps into the sea. Karma hasn't gone far, at least, though it's still deep enough Nagisa can't plant his feet firmly on the seabed. He finds himself naturally adjusting onto his tiptoes, but considering the water isn't entirely still, he ends up semi tripping into Karma's side.

There are worse places to be.

"That wasn't so bad," Karma says lightly, before letting himself sink a little, bringing their heights closer.

"No."

He sighs. "Wish we didn't have to go back."

It strikes Nagisa like a harpoon. "Me neither."

"Let's just quit our jobs and stay here," he muses, though he doesn't sound alarmingly serious, it still catches Nagisa a little bit off guard. "We could just go swimming like this every day. Somewhere with a bigger kitchen though. I want you to make your miso soup for me."

"You don't mean that," he scoffs.

Karma hums. "Maybe not literally, but it would be nice."

Despite the relative warmth of the ocean, Nagisa feels a chill wash over him. How can Karma just say things like this? Wasn't he the one who was hesitant about a relationship… period? And now he's casually talking about every day. He supposes it's not unheard of, at their age, to start making forever decisions even after just a few dates. And Karma's even- formally- met his parents…

"I don't get it," he backs away physically. "Why me anyway? When you could have anyone you want-"

"Nagisa."

Is he mad? His tone is sharp, biting almost. Though maybe that's just because Nagisa's getting all lost in his thoughts again-

Karma's eyes are narrow, like he's reading Nagisa for something. "Don't you see?"

"See what?" Despite the heaviness he feels in his throat, he barely produces a whisper.

The rough edge of Karma's expression morphs into something softer.

"You're it for me."

Nagisa's breath hitches, like someone just slammed a hammer into his chest.

"I don't even know what that means," Karma admits, the smile on his face almost a little mournful. "But that's the only way I can word it. Come to think of it, it's been like that since junior high."

That catches him even more off guard. "Y-you liked me back then?"

It's almost like he's scanning into his face. "No. But you still had a habit of slipping under my skin. It's a lot more fun now." The last part sounds lighter, like it's meant to be a joke, but Nagisa feels like it's pretty sincere otherwise. "And then I realised just how easily you could kill me. How I honestly think I'd let you."

He scrunches his nose. "That doesn't exactly sound good."

Karma's softer smile remains. "You could do anything to me, but I know you won't."

I trust you, is what he means.

"It's always been you."

"Karma-"

Really, Nagisa doesn't know what to say or do. Perhaps because Karma's always been it for him too. Never mind that Nagisa's never so much as seriously considered anyone else in a romantic way before. He still hasn't quite unpacked the meaning of that, though he's starting to realise the terror he'd face in losing him.

Yet it would be selfish to ignore Karma's words. To accept that he might just be as etched into him. It's a heavy realisation, but hardly an unpleasant one. In fact, Nagisa thinks he might have fallen in love with him even harder, if that's even possible.

Instead of responding in words, Nagisa flings his arms around his neck, wrapping his legs around his torso to give him a good angle for a kiss. Karma responds in kind, a strong hand on his back as they melt together. Somehow, he feels everything where they meet, and all he can do is hope Karma's capable of translating.

He gets so lost in it he almost misses the way the water falls away. He's just in Karma's arms at that point, though he seems to give up before they make it back inside. Instead, they stumble clumsily until they reach at least the towel Nagisa had been sitting on earlier, and fall back. It's awkward with their heights, if they're trying to avoid too much sand everywhere, so Nagisa ends up climbing up onto Karma's lap.

There's a voice in the back of his head about doing something like this quite literally out in the open, but Karma's so distracting it gets swallowed down. They're barely even kissing at this point, more breathing into each other's mouths, but somehow it feels incredible. Nagisa grinds his hips because it feels naturally good, but it's like that's the least of his concern.

And then Nagisa reasons this might be how he'd like to spend his forever too. Wrapped up in Karma's arms without a care in the world about anything else. For once, under his lips, he's not scared.
