SCOTT remotely piloted Thunderbird 1 over the rockfall that blocked the cave entrance. The hatch underneath opened and the grapple was launched onto one of the larger ones at the bottom. Thunderbird 1 then rose slowly up, pulling the rock out from underneath and causing those on top to fall away. As the dust settled, an opening could now be seen.

"We have our entrance, Kayo," said Scott. "You staying with our friend or are you coming in?"

"You go ahead, Scott," Kayo responded. "But keep in touch. I'll come in if you need back-up."

"F-A-B."

Scott made his way inside the cave. It was very dark, so he lit his lamp on his multi-tool and began to head deeper. He activated the heads-up display inside his helmet. He looked left and right through each cave. But so far he could see no signs of anyone being there. "Thunderbird 5, it's a real maze in here. Any chance you can help me out?"

"I've made an underground scan of the mountain," answered John. "There's a real complex network of tunnels and caverns down there. Bob could be anywhere."

"You not getting any life-signs?"

"Negative," answered John. "Only one I have is you."

Scott felt his stomach churn uneasily. "I hope that's not a bad thing," he said. "Could the caves be interfering with your scanners?"

"It is possible," said John. "I am picking up some kind of mineral signatures that could be causing it."

"What kind of minerals?"

But before John could answer, there came a rumbling and the tunnel began to tremble. Scott felt the ground shake between his feet. "What the? WHOA!" He threw himself to the ground as some rocks came crashing down.

"John, what's going on?!" Kayo asked urgently as she and Toni also felt the ground shake.

"Another earthquake!" said John. "Scott, can you hear me?"

The earthquake seemed to stop as soon as it had come. Scott opened his eyes and lifted his head. He looked around. Rocks were around him, but incredibly, none had landed on him. "John? Kayo? Can you hear me?"

"Yes!" came the reply of both in unison.

"Are you okay, big brother?" asked John.

"Yeah. Boy, that was close though," said Scott. "My route out is blocked. I'm trapped unless there's another way out?"

"I'll see if I can find you one," said John.

"In the meantime, I'll keep looking for Bob." Scott climbed over some of the rocks and headed deeper into the caves.

Kayo was frustrated. She wanted to go inside and help Scott, but she also wasn't prepared to leave Toni unattended. She looked at the youngster, who was now sheltering in the shade underneath Thunderbird 1 which Scott had landed before going inside the cave. She was propped up against one of the landing legs. She had tears in her eyes. "We'll find him, Toni. I promise," she said.

Toni nodded, but didn't answer or look up at her.

Kayo then felt inside her utility belt to see if by any chance she had any sweets or snacks. She found a Celery Crunch Bar that Gordon had given her. She'd forgotten about it, and checked the date to make sure that it was still edible. It was, so she decided to give it away. "Would you like this?"

Toni looked up. "What is it?" she asked.

"Celery Bar," replied Kayo. "Try it. It's delicious."

Toni hesitated. "No, thanks."

"Aw, go on," Kayo urged. "I wasn't too keen on them when first offered. Now I love them."

Toni still wasn't too keen, but decided to give it a go seeing as Kayo had already opened the wrapper. She took a bite out of the bar and chewed. Her eyes seemed to light up. She looked at it, and then took a second bite.

"Two bites," observed Kayo. "That's a good sign."

"Wow," said Toni. "You were right. This is delicious."

"Finish it," said Kayo with a smile. "I don't want it back."

The two giggled. Then Scott called up. "Kayo and John. I think I might be onto something."

"What is it, Scott?" asked Kayo.

"Some skid-marks on a slope," said Scott. "I'm making my way down now. Looks like someone has slipped and gone down."

Toni jumped to her feet. "Is it fresh?!" she asked urgently.

"Seems pretty fresh, yes," Scott answered over Kayo's communicator.

Toni grabbed Kayo's arm. "It's Bob," she said. "It's got to be!"

"John, still no luck with finding any life-signs?" asked Kayo.

"No…" answered John. "However, there's a vast cavern at the end of the tunnel you're going through, Scott. And I'm picking up some kind of heat signatures from within. It's not body-heat though, it's something else. Something…bigger."

These words made Scott, Kayo and Toni feel concerned. Scott paused in his descent and then had a thought. "Hey, Toni? Are earthquakes common in this area?"

Toni was surprised by the question. "No, Mr Tracy. Never."

Kayo frowned. "What are you getting at, Scott?"

"I've got a hunch," said Scott. "And if I'm right…John, you'd better alert the GDF. Also send Thunderbird 2 our way the moment Virgil and Gordon are able to. I think we may have a situation."

"You need me to come in?" Kayo asked.

"Stay there for now, but be ready as I think I may well need you, Kayo," said Scott. "Perhaps…more than ever before."

Silence followed this as both Kayo and John were taken aback by Scott's words.

"Keep radio silence until I say otherwise," said Scott and he ended his call to them both.

Kayo and John looked at each other via the other's holograms. "What does he mean by that?" asked John.

"I…have no idea," Kayo answered awkwardly. "Let's wait to see what Scott finds. Over and out." She too ended the call.

Toni smirked. "You see?" she said. "Mr Tracy does like you."

Kayo walked briskly away as the strange thoughts rushed through her mind once more.

Charlotte sat in her chair. Hayley stood leaning against the door. Neither woman had said anything for a while. Charlotte was getting restless and nervous. Hayley was calm and undeterred. Eventually, Charlotte broke the silence. "I want a glass of water."

Hayley spoke into her communicator. "Send us some water, please."

Charlotte remained silent. The door unlocked. Charlotte jumped to her feet thinking she could make another escape attempt. But the door only opened a small bit allowing Hayley to take a cup of water and the door closed again. Hayley's glare made Charlotte sit down again and Hayley put the cup down on the table. Charlotte looked at it. Hayley could tell she was looking disappointed.

"This is plastic," Charlotte said. "I asked for a glass."

"We don't use glasses," Hayley answered. "Too risky. If you get my meaning?"

Charlotte seethed and Hayley noticed her stamp a foot on the floor in anger. Her idea of getting rid of Hayley wasn't going to work. However, her throat was really dry so she drank the water in one long gulp. Then she threw the cup at Hayley, hoping it would distract her as she jumped to her feet. But stopped dead when she saw Hayley's reflexes had allowed her to catch the cup instead.

Hayley smirked. "Nice try, Higgins," she said.

Charlotte sat back down, fuming.

Scott cautiously made his way further down the tunnel. Using his helmet, he began to detect what looked like the figure of a young boy around the corner lying flat on the ground. Heart racing, he quickened his pace and turned the corner. In the beam of his light, he spotted Bob lying on the ground at the end of the slope up against some more rocks.

"Bob!" he said with relief and hurried over.

The boy seemed to jump in surprise and in a panic almost knocked the rocks off a ledge. Scott was very surprised when he grabbed the rocks instead to stop them falling.

Scott hurried over. "Are you okay, bud-"

"Shhhhhhh!" Bob hissed.

Scott was surprised. "What?"

"Sorry…" Bob whispered. "I'm hiding…"

"By your sister?" said Scott. He grew stern. "Look, Bob, half of this mountain has collapsed. Your sister is-"

"No, not her!" Bob cut him off. He began to point over the rocks. "From them!"

Confused, Scott cautiously lifted his head over the rocks to see what Bob was referring to. He froze. A series of spot-lamps had been set up in the cavern. A large tunnel could be seen on the right hand side of it. But it was what was sitting in the middle that made Scott's blood run cold. A stealthy-looking jet-black and orange aircraft was sitting in the middle of the cavern, its nose pointing towards the tunnel. A lone figure was seen wandering around the back section by a ramp that led into the aircraft. There were a number of secure-looking green boxes scattered around as well. Then came the sound of footsteps from the ramp and Scott let out a small gasp as a familiar-looking silver-cladded woman emerged from within. "Oh…no…" He looked around and then saw another small cave on the side of the cavern wall along the ledge. Keeping low, he peered inside with his torch to make sure it was large enough for him and Bob to hide in. it was, just about, so he went back to Bob. "Are you hurt?" he asked.

"My ankle hurts," Bob replied. "I think I must have twisted it when I fell."

"The rock-fall?" Scott asked.

Bob nodded. "I ran and then fell down that slope before ending up here," he said. "I then heard these strange voices and noticed those guys down there. Who are they?"

Scott had to be careful with this answer. "Bad people, Bob," he said. "Very bad people." He checked Bob's ankle with a scanner. "Sprained but not broken," he said. "You're lucky. Now let's get you-" He broke off with a small gasp and looked to his left. Bob looked to his right. The sound of distant footsteps accompanied by the whir of a mechanical suit could be heard along the tunnel that led off the ledge and deeper into the mountain. It was gradually getting louder as it got closer. Someone was coming. Scott picked Bob up and hurried him into the smaller cave he'd spotted. There they concealed themselves and waited. Neither of them dared to speak as the sound of the approaching figure drew closer. Scott quickly took the initiative to leave a tiny camera on the opposite rock wall facing outwards. He let the figure walk past, it didn't pause to check and only once its footsteps began to fade away that he played back the footage. The footage showed a black-suited figure pass, which told him all he needed to know. He then slowly picked himself up, but made sure Bob stayed down. He then spoke quietly into his helmet. "Kayo…I've found Bob. Get inside the cave. We need you."

Hearing these words sent chills down Kayo's spine. "I'm coming," she said. She turned off her communicator and turned to Toni. "Scott's found your brother," she said. "Now, I'm going to guide them out. I need you to stay here. Can you do that?"

"I want to come!" Toni protested.

"The cave's aren't safe, Toni. We cannot risk anything happening to you. Stay here." And she hurried off before Toni could protest further.

It wasn't until Kayo was inside the cave that she called Scott back. "Scott…can you talk?"

"Just about."

"What's wrong? Your hushed tone is making me nervous."

"Our friends are here…" Scott said in a hushed voice.

Kayo was confused. "Friends? What are you talking about?"

Scott bit his lip. He really didn't want to use the real word in front of Bob. "Phantom Swan."

Kayo stopped dead in her tracks, her eyes widened. "You're absolutely sure?"

"Yes," Scott answered. "They appear to be mining for something."

"Rare minerals?"

"Must be. Alert John and remind him to get the GDF here. We'll try and retrace our steps and meet you."

"F-A-B. Watch your step." Kayo ended the call with Scott and immediately called John. "John, it's Kayo. Scott's found trouble."

"What is it?"

"The Cabal."

John gasped. "Damn it! Is that why you're now inside the cave?"

"Yes, he's found Bob and is going to make his way back to me. I just hope The Cabal don't see him. Have you alerted the GDF?"

"I hadn't but I will now," said John. "I'll alert base and Thunderbird 2 as well. Scott was right. You are going to need back-up!"

Hayley looked at Charlotte who hadn't said a word since she'd thrown the cup at her. Charlotte sat at the table, tapping it with her fingers. Hayley had her arms folded again, in such a way she was able to glance down at her watch. "Any moment now," she said in her head.

"They told me he was responsible," Charlotte said.

"They?"

"Gomez…and his friends," said Charlotte. "They told me Mr Parker was the one responsible for my father's suicide. They knew I was a carer nurse and suggested I become his during his recovery."

"How did they even know about Parker's condition?" Hayley asked.

"Was National News the destruction of Creighton. His name came up when Lady Creighton-Ward was reported missing. God I wish he'd perished in that. Would have saved me a whole lot of trouble."

Hayley remained composed. "Go on."

"When my boss told me a list of people who needed our services, I heard his name. I saw my chance. But I knew I had to bide my time and not make my move immediately. Eventually I realised taking my revenge would not work at the mansion. They would suspect me at once. I had to get him away from there. It was the perfect plan. Fly over the North Sea and explode the plane. Nobody would have known who or what was the cause."

"And yet Gomez and his men ambushed you both," said Hayley. "I'm guessing that wasn't part of the plan?"

"No, it wasn't," said Charlotte bitterly.

"And yet despite everything, Parker risked his life to save yours and you still tried to end his life," Hayley said. She gave a scoff. "Some gratitude."

"Gratitude? GRATITUDE?!" shrieked Charlotte as she jumped to her feet. "I WAS NOT GOING TO LET ANYONE GET IN THE WAY OF MY REVENGE! MY FATHER WAS AN INNOCENT MAN WHO WAS FRAMED! AND IT COST HIM HIS LIFE! I DID WHAT I HAD TO DO!" She began to cry as she sat back down. "He was my world! My everything. And that…they took him from me."

"They?" asked Hayley.

"Lady Penelope, too," said Charlotte. "She's as much to blame as Parker is. But to kill her would make me a wanted person. Nobody would care about Parker."

"You'd be surprised," Hayley answered.

Charlotte scoffed. "Like you would know?!" she snapped.

"More than you do," said Hayley.

There was silence as Charlotte tried to figure out what Hayley was saying. But she couldn't. It was only then that a sudden realisation struck her. "Wait a minute…why am I telling you all this?"

Hayley gave two knocks on the door. It opened enough for her to go through. "Thank you, Higgins."

"What for?"

Hayley looked back, halfway through the door. She then held up a recorder that she'd concealed inside her utility belt. "Your confession," and with that she zipped through the door. The door slammed shut as a now enraged Charlotte leapt to her feet and charged at the door. But it was sealed shut before she could reach it. She banged furiously on it, screaming abuse at Hayley. However the door was soundproof and Hayley heard nothing as she walked away, satisfied at a job well done.

Grandma walked into the lounge with coffee for Jeff. She was surprised to see he wasn't at his desk as usual. Instead he was by the window, looking out across the sea. She could tell instantly that something was wrong. "I know that look, Jefferson," she said as she put the mug on the desk. "What trouble have they landed in?"

"The cause of these earthquakes, Mother," Jeff replied without turning around. "The Cabal are in those caves."

Grandma flinched at the sound of the name. "How many?"

"Phantom and Swan at the very least," said Jeff grimly. "Probably the most dangerous of them all."

"More dangerous than The Hood?"

Jeff turned. "They're all dangerous. But when it comes to violence - Swan and Phantom are the worst."

Scott cautiously crept out of his hiding place and crawled over to the ledge where he could peer over the edge. He could now see the Black Phantom down on the cavern floor along with Silver Swan and Techno. Then a group of Meccas emerged from another smaller tunnel opposite the back end of the aircraft carrying more of the boxes. Then Shocker appeared along with them.

"Quite the mess you made," said Techno. "You're lucky you didn't bring the whole mountain down with your blasting."

"Got the job done, didn't I?" growled Shocker.

"Cut it out, boys!" snapped Silver Swan. She then spoke into her communicator. "Boss, we've got the minerals you asked for. We'll be on our way shortly."

"Good," The Hood's voice answered. "I trust nobody has hampered your efforts?"

"Of course not," said Silver Swan. "Nobody lives around here. Nobody's gonna stop us."

Scott gritted his teeth. He wanted nothing more than to try and sabotage The Cabal's efforts. But on his own, he had no chance. Virgil and Hayley had been lucky once John had come to their rescue. He didn't fancy taking them on alone though. He therefore beckoned for Bob to come out. "Come on, we need to get out of here," he whispered.

Bob crawled out and Scott helped him up. They tried to keep as low as possible as they hurried back to the tunnel Bob had fallen down to make their way back up towards the surface. It was most unfortunate for them that one of Techno's Meccas happened to come up and its sensors detected them. It beeped loudly.

"What?!" exclaimed Techno, checking his controller.

"What?" asked Silver Swan.

"One of my Meccas has detected something," said Techno.

"Is there a problem?" The Hood's voice asked over Silver Swan's communicator.

Scott heard their voices and glanced back to see the Mecca charging in his direction. "Shit!" he cursed and began to run, picking Bob up and carrying him over his shoulder as he ran.

Bob's eyes widened when he saw the strange Insect-like robot chasing them up the tunnel. "Er, Mr Tracy, there's-"

"I know, Bob, I know!" said Scott. He then spoke urgently into his own communicator. "Kayo, they've seen us! Where are you!"

"I'm heading down the tunnel!" Kayo answered. "Who's chasing you?"

"One of Techno's meccas!"

"I'm coming! John, are the GDF on their way?"

"Three squadrons of Flyers are inbound," John answered. "Just get Scott and Bob out of there and then take Toni to safety. If The Cabal comes after you, lead them straight to the GDF!"

"Copy that!" Scott glanced back at the Air-Mecca whilst still running. "KEEP MOVING!" he yelled to Bob.

A camera on the front of the Mecca showed Techno who it was chasing. "It's International Rescue!" he said angrily. "And some random kid."

The Black Phantom fired up his jets. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's kill them!"

"What?!" exclaimed Techno. "Are you insane, Phantom?! I'm not killing a kid!"

Silver Swan grabbed his arm. "Want me to do it for you?" she asked.

"Leave the kid," said The Hood. "But kill Tracy. Let's at least traumatise the child to show them that International Rescue can't always win." He gave a malicious laugh and then signed off.

Silver Swan turned to Black Phantom. "Go do your thing," she said. "Shocker, help me load the ship."

The Black Phantom's suit jets propelled him up to the ledge and he began to fly up the tunnel after Scott and Bob.

Scott and Bob were almost at the end of the tunnel. Kayo appeared at the entrance just as they approached. "Come on, hurry!" Kayo called to them.

The Air-Mecca began zapping electricity at them. Bob cried out as he felt one narrowly miss his exposed leg. Scott was quick to cover him. "TAKE HIM!" he bellowed to Kayo. "I'LL BE RIGHT BEHIND YOU!" Kayo took Bob and they continued running. Scott pulled out his multi-tool and spun round to face the approaching Inspect Robot. "TAKE THIS YOU PIECE OF JUNK!" He fired the laser. It sliced through the Mecca and it shattered into several pieces, crashing to the ground at his feet. It felt immensely satisfying.

"Scott, what was that?" Kayo asked over the helmet radio.

"Just zapped our little friend out of existence," Scott replied. "I'm on my-" He broke off. "Uh-oh…"

Kayo stopped herself running and Bob stopped too. "Scott, what is it?" she asked.

But instead of an answer from Scott, there came the rumbling sound and the cave began to tremble.

"It's happening again!" Bob cried.

Kayo looked up and saw several great chunks of rock start to break away from the ceiling. Thinking quickly, she activated her nanotech armoured suit and accompanying black shield which she made into a much larger size before pulling Bob in to then hold it above them to provide some kind of protection.

The rocks were heavy and bulky and Kayo felt several impacts reverberate through her body, but she had just the right amount of energy to hold it up.

At last the rocks stopped falling. Bob was coughing due to the dust. "Are you okay?" Kayo asked.

"I *cough-cough* think so," Bob replied. "What about…*cough-cough* Mr Scott?"

"Scott…Scott!" Kayo gasped. She jumped to her feet. She looked around. The route where they'd just come from was now blocked off by the fallen rocks. There was no sign of Scott. She found herself torn. Did she go back and look for him, or do her job by getting Bob to safety.

"Mr Scott?!" Bob called out.

"He'll be fine," Kayo said, trying to sound reassuring. "He's survived worse than this. Come on!" She then ushered Bob out to the exit where a very concerned Toni was waiting for them.

"BOB! OH, MY GOSH!" Toni ran forward and hugged her brother tightly. She was in tears again, but relieved. She looked at Kayo. "Thank you."

"Take him to the shade under Thunderbird 1," Kayo instructed. "I'll be back."

Toni did so without questioning. It hadn't even occurred to her that Scott was missing.

Kayo headed back through the cave, now littered with fallen boulders. "SCOTT?!" she called out. "SCOTT, CAN YOU HEAR ME?! CALL OUT!"

No response came. Kayo could feel her heart racing. Surely nobody could be alive under all that? But then again, International Rescue had an uncanny knack for surviving impossible situations. After all, Gordon had survived being crushed inside Thunderbird 4, Virgil and Hayley had survived an impossible encounter with The Cabal and Jeff had lasted around eight years in space all by himself. Kayo was doing everything to reassure herself that Scott had somehow managed to escape the rockfall. But at the same time, there was some slight dread flowing through her veins.

She soon reached the pile of rocks that were blocking the entrance to the tunnel where Scott had been. She tried to use her helmet scanner to see if anyone was on the other side. But it wasn't registering anything. "SCOTT?!" she called out again. "CAN YOU HEAR ME? PLEASE ANSWER ME!" Her voice seemed to break as she said that last sentence.

Suddenly a black-armoured arm punched through the rocks and grabbed her. Kayo let out a scream of surprise as she was pulled through and thrown across the tunnel. She looked back in horror to see the familiar sinister shape of The Black Phantom standing over her. "Finally…" he said. "My revenge has come." His laser eyes began to glow.

"PHANTOM!" It was Silver Swan who'd just appeared.

"Stay out of this, Swan!" growled The Black Phantom. "I've waited long enough to kill her!"

"And have you forgotten what the boss will do to you if you do?" Silver Swan asked. "Bring her to the ship. This'll be a nice surprise for the boss."

The Black Phantom growled in frustration. He powered down and then grabbed Kayo, picking her up off the ground and carried her in a way that she couldn't break free of his grip.

"Get your metal arms OFF ME!" Kayo demanded.

"Still the squirmier, aren't you, Kayo?" teased Silver Swan.

They soon reached the cavern and the two villains dropped down to where the Cruiser was waiting. Techno and Shocker exited down the ramp and were surprised when they saw who their captive was. "Huh?" said Techno. "Where did she come from?"

"Yeah, where's the flyboy?" asked Shocker.

Without needing to ask, this told Kayo that they didn't have Scott.

"He seems to have escaped that rockfall," said Silver Swan. "But it matters not. We have the boss's niece in our clutches once again. He'll certainly not complain about that."

Kayo was struggling to break free of the grip of The Black Phantom's hands.

"Put her in the ship and bind her," Silver Swan ordered. "Then we can-"

The sound of something hitting the floor caught their attention. They all looked down to see a round white ball roll through Silver Swan's legs and stop between them.

"What the hell is-" began Techno. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGH!"

All four members of The Cabal cried out as the ball turned into an extremely bright white light that practically blinded them. Then before any of them had a chance to realise, someone dropped down from above and kicked The Black Phantom over. He toppled to the ground along with Kayo, losing his grip on her as he went. Kayo, who recognised what the device was, had shut her eyes to avoid getting blinded by the light. Now she was free, she was able to strike. She lunged at Silver Swan, knocking her over before roundhouse-kicking Shocker. Techno meanwhile was then struck by the figure who'd attacked The Black Phantom.

Kayo knew instantly who it was. "SCOTT!"

"Looks like I got back here in time!" Scott replied. "You okay?"

"I am now," Kayo replied. "Now let's get out of here."

Scott positioned himself so Kayo could climb onto his back. "Hang on!" He activated his jetpack and took to the air, heading up and around the Cabal Cruiser towards the ledge and the tunnel where they'd originally entered from.

The Cabal had managed to regain their senses. Looking up, The Black Phantom saw what it was. "IT'S TRACY!" he rumbled. "THEY'RE GETTING AWAY!"

"THEN STOP THEM, DAMN IT!" thundered Silver Swan.

"GET THEM!" roared Shocker and he and The Black Phantom fired their green sonic blasts and red eye lasers respectively. Scott ducked and weaved as the weapons began slicing through the roof of the cavern.

"STOP!" bellowed Techno. "YOU COULD DAMAGE THE SHIP!"

Silver Swan growled. "START THE ENGINES! WE'RE GETTING OUT OF HERE!" Techno ran inside whilst Silver Swan turned her attention to Shocker and Phantom. "STOP! I'll take care of them!" She extended her wings and lifted off after Scott and Kayo. "YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY THAT EASILY!" she bellowed.

Kayo looked back. "Scott…"

"Yeah, I know!" Scott replied. "You thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Carousel?"

"Check."

"Let's do it!" said Kayo.

Silver Swan stopped in mid-air and let out her sonic shriek. Scott did a forward-roll causing Kayo to slip off his back. He then grabbed her hands and began to spin her around like a whirling dervish. "One!"

"Two!" said Kayo.

"THREE!" they both said as they were up to speed and Scott released his grip.

"HIIII-YAAAAAAAAAA!" Kayo bellowed as she flew feet-first at Silver Swan.

"WHAAAAAA-?!" exclaimed Silver Swan as Kayo's feet slammed into her chest. The momentum caused them both to go flying right across the cavern and slam Silver Swan hard into the wall on the opposite side. Then Kayo began to fall with a now unconscious Silver Swan falling after. Scott came swooping round to catch her.

"STOP HIM!" bellowed The Black Phantom, firing his lasers at Scott. The Shocker followed suit, both shooting their weapons at Scott who somehow managed to evade them. He grabbed Kayo and doubled-back, gaining height and heading back for the ledge. Silver Swan crashed to the floor nearby, out cold.

As they drew closer, Scott began to wobble. He almost fell out of the air.

"What was that?!" asked Kayo, alarmed.

"My jetpack's low on fuel!" Scott answered. "Too much weight. Hold on!"

"I AM!" Kayo retorted, annoyed. But then Scott did his forward-roll again and began to spin Kayo around once more. "Wait, what are you doing?!" Kayo asked.

"Saving you!" answered Scott. He then let go, sending Kayo flying across the cavern where she landed on the ledge and skidded up the tunnel.

Scott stopped spinning, but this time, he was feeling a little disorientated and as such didn't make his way any further.

"NOW!"

Before Scott or Kayo realised what was going to happen, it was too late. The sound of Shocker's gauntlets was heard and Scott turned his head just in time to see the twin beams of green energy zooming towards him. "Kayo…RUN!" he bellowed and covered his helmet visor with both arms. He was struck by Shocker's beams and was slammed straight into the wall.

"SCOTT!" screamed Kayo.

Then The Black Phantom's laser beams joined in, also striking the wall at the exact spot where Scott had been moments before.

"OH, MY GOD! SCOTT! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
