AN: Well, here's the new chapter and it came out much faster than I have thought. I will try to keep a consistent posting schedule, but life tends to happen. Anyway, I will answer a few of the comments.

Saramus92: Yeah, I'm hoping the new year is better than what happed last year but I consider it to be a mild improvement compared to 2020. Here's hoping though,

Joanne Frances Tiano Cajilig: Thanks, and don't worry, Shinsou is not out.

Hellibleri: Yeah, I know MHA does have its flaws and, but I still have a soft spot for the characters. Plus, there is an entire section on AO3 with a 'Bakugo facing consequences' tag. I know this fic might not be for you but I'm happier that people are giving it a shot.

ASL D Brothers: I'm excited that you enjoyed the fic so far and yeah, the Hero course will learn Haki but that will be a little bit down the line. Everyone does have their opinions,

So, lets get the next chapter on its way. Please Review, fave, follow, and I hope you enjoy this chapter before we get to the final round.

Panic, the sudden uncontrollable fear or anxiety, often causing wildly unthinking behavior. This is how Izuku felt as the eyes of most of the first-year student body were on him. "Oh, god... …"

He looked to his left to see how his fellow first place winners were handling the pressure. They mostly handled it well.

"I'm going to fucking die!" Mineta ran in circles around Zato. The blind student was much calmer compared to the two heroes course students.

"Mineta, please calm down. Midnight said we should find a group to join."

Both looked at him, realizing that he's right. Mineta sprinted off in one direction as Zato walked off in the opposite direction. Seeing that he was on his own, Midoriya began his search for his possible teammates.

Most of the students stayed clear of Zato as he searched for a teammate to join him. He was hit in the back of the head by a hand. "How the hell did you mistake someone that was half my size for me?" Asked a very annoyed Shinsou as he glared at his blind friend.

"Oh, Hit. Congratulations for making it to the second round."

"Congratulations my ass! I got clotheslined by a robot and I had to use some schmuck to make it into the top 42!" Shinsou shouted, giving his friend the stink eye.

"Well, quit whining. You made it this far into the festival and I know you're going to stick to me like glue to get you to the final round." Answered back Zato.

"You're damn right about that!"

Zato gave his friend a pat on the back. "That's the spirit. Now let's divide and conquer so we have a full team."

On the other side of the field, Mineta scrambled to find someone to join him.

"Nope!"

"I'd rather face Hell's legions than team up with you."

Mineta fell to his knees from the rejection as he started to shed tears and cried. As he was tearing up, he heard someone making their way towards him.

"Hey, Mineta?" said a familiar voice, female. He looked up to see Tsu had spoken to him and Shoji looked down at him while offering a hand.

"Sounds like you need a hand or two, ribbit."

Mineta felt surprised but glad at the same time. "Thank you so much!"

Meanwhile, at the center of the field, Mina, Sero, and Kirishima surrounded Bakugo while making their case to join his team.

"Who are all of you again?" asked Bakugo. The three sputtered but Sero made it loud and clear. "Oh, come on! We're your classmates!"

"How can you forget us?!" Mina shouted.

"Oh, right. Raccoon Eyes. Shitty Hair. Soy Sauce."

"That's how you remember us, Bakubro?" Asked Kirishima.

"You're just extras!"

In the stands, Silver glared at Bakugo for his behavior and attitude.

"I swear, I will make sure you don't follow the same path as him." Silver thought He gripped his armrest so tightly it creaked in protest. Tosshi glanced at Silver in worry over his reaction to Bakugo. However, he decided not to prod.

Back on the field, Monoma was looking at Shinsou as he gave him his offer. "Wait... why should we ally ourselves with a Gen Ed?"

"We both have a common foe in 1-A. Would that help?" Reminded Shinsou. He heard down the grapevine that Monoma had a huge vendetta against 1-A so why not have him join him and Zato to fight a common foe

"True... but what can you bring to the table?" Questioned Monoma.

"Brainwashing and my best friend was in first place. Deal?" Shinsou stuck his hand out.

"Deal." Monoma then shook his hand.

"Now, what's your first move?"

"We now have a full team, Hit," said Zato. Shinsou and Monoma turned around to see who Zato asked to join them, a blushing Ibara.

"Wait, how did you convince Shiozaki to join your group!? And why is she blushing?!" Yelled Monoma.

Ibara turned away, refusing to answer her classmate. Shinsou sighed. "... Zato. Did you do your thing again?"

"Why of course, It is a good offer." Smiled Zato.

"Of course, you did, Zato." Shindou responded, rolling his eyes.

Monoma was looking back and forth between his teammates "... look, if you swing both ways, I have no issue with that. More power to you," said Monoma.

Zato smacked him in the head with his walking stick and Ibara glared at her classmate.

"I would do no such a thing, Monoma!" scolded Ibara as she glared at her classmate for coming to such a conclusion. Monoma was rubbing his head from the spot where he was hit. Zato, however, decided it was time to make a plan of attack for the event.

Over at a nearby area, Shoto stared at Izuku, wondering why his power reminded him of All-Might. He needed to find a strong team to get to the final round. "I need to be wary about Midoriya." He thought as he looked around the area.

"Yaoyorozu could be one, but Kaminari is another one despite his stupidity."

Shoto noticed Iida running up to him.

"Todoroki, I'd like to join your team!" Stated the student president as he chopped his arms in the air.

"What place did you get in?"

"12th, although I do remember carrying a student from General Education on my back when I got to the finish line for some odd reason."

"Who?"

"Shinsou, I think?"

"Understood, now let's find Yaoyorozu and Kaminari."

Both of them ran off in search of their classmates.

Izuku was in a panic. Anytime he asked someone to join him, they avoided him like the plague. Iida already joined Todoroki leaving him stranded.

"Oh, no. Oh, No, Nononononon." Cried Deku as he was crying out looking for anyone to join him. "Anyone?!"

"Deku?"

Izuku turned to see Ochako offering him her hand.

"Uraraka? You want to join me?"

She nods.

"Wait!"

Both of them jumped from the sheer volume of the voice as the pink dreadlocks girl from the race ran up to them.

"HEY, MR. FIRST PLACE! I'LL JOIN BUT ON ONE CONDITION!" She yelled with great enthusiasm much to the pair's shock.

"Yes...?"

"I GET TO DEMONSTRATE ALL MY BABIES! ALL OF THEM!"

"Wait, you actually brought babies?! " Shouted Ochako as her eyes were as wide as dinner plates.

"What? No. I mean these babies." The girl then pulls out a pair of jetpack-looking boots.

"Oh... that's what... she meant, uhhh?"

"Exactly! I also saw some Support Companies in the crowd too!" The girl pointed out. It took her a moment to realize they didn't know her name.

"Uh, what's your name?" Izuku asked.

"Mei Hatsume of the Support Department and future entrepreneur!"

"Ochako Uraraka."

"OK, we now have a team of three, we now need one more member." Izuku stated.

"Oi, Fumikage, we found a team to tag along with!" Said Dark Shadow as Tokoyami ran up to Izuku's group.

"Ah, good, Dark Shadow."

"Tokoyami? Why do you want to form a team with us?" Asked Ochako.

"I believe every other team is full now."

Izuku began to cry tears of relief as his tear glands kicked into overdrive. The result could be compared to a human sprinkler system as Ochako, Mei, and Tokoyami were getting soaked in tears.

"Okay, seriously. Is he okay?"

Once the teams were made, everyone had been given a different color flag to represent their base flag.

"Now before we begin my naughty little boys and girls, the team who captures 3 base flags will earn 500,000 points and the game will end. The teams that will move on to the next round will be those in the top 4. Now let's get the countdown ready!" Midnight announced as a timer starting at 10 showed up on the big screen. When the timer reaches zero, the game began, the horn went off and the teams charged.

Shoto and Tenya went on the offensive as they went after the closest base near them, which was being guarded by Kamikiri and Yui. The former had used his ice in an attempt to freeze them both. Kamikiri slashed at the ice and sliced into it, cutting it into chunks. Yui reacted quickly by enlarging a few rocks in the ground and placing it around their orange base flag.

"I'm not helpless, asshole! And I'm going to take that headband!" Kaminari shouted as he charged at Shoto. Meanwhile with Yui, she kept her eyes on Iida as he ran through the rock barrier to take their flag.

Yui gawker as the speedster passed by her. Before she could respond, a frozen Kaminari crashed into her and pinned her to the ground. While she was down, she saw that her classmate was missing his headband. Before she knew it, Shoto slid past her and took her headband and rushed back with Iida to their base.

Over at a different part of the field Awase and Manga stood guard of their yellow base flag. "Manga, keep your guard up." The former commanded. Manga's head showed a thumbs up as he was ready for anything to be thrown at him.

"Who's the big threat that we should watch out for, Awase?" Asked Manga. Before he could answer, Zato and Shinsou walked up to the pair.

"Hit, you should take them since I'm incapable of fighting," Asked Zato.

"... that should be my line, Zato." Answered Shinsou

"You're the one bragging about going to the heroes course. So put your fists up and fight."

"The hell?" said Awase.

"Fine. Oi, comic face! All Might is a hack!"

"WHAT DID YOU SAY, YOU FUCKING PLEBIAN!" The two hero course students shouted. However as soon as they responded, their eyes glazed over and they had a dull expression.

Shinsou smirked as their stunt worked. Looking to his right, Zato gestured to the flag and headbands they were wearing.

"Fine I'll get it," sighed Shinsou as he marched forward.

"You owe me this." Stated Zato as he let his friend do the heavy lifting. If he wanted to make it to the hero course, why not work for it?

Halfway across the field, Kaminari stood guard as Momo took her jacket off to produce two shotguns and a few beanbag rounds. When she was finished Momo gave Kaminari one of the shotguns as he felt the weight.

"Whoa, this is heavier than I thought. They always looked pretty light in the movies." Kaminari remarked as he tried to get a good grip.

"Well, that's because the ones you see on film are stage props, Kaminari-san." Momo answered as she loaded a few rounds in the chamber.

"Oh..." like a lightbulb lighting up. Kaminari never really thought of it.

"Souffle Rush!" Both turned as Sato charged towards them.

Momo fired at Sato while Kaminari zapped him with his Quirk.

Bang! Zap!

Sato collapsed to the ground as he had a blank stare and drool coming out of his mouth.

"Oh, err...it worked better than I thought." Said Kaminari as he walked up to his downed classmate and took his headband. Momo turned around to see Jiro getting close to their white flag a few feet away from them. She immediately aimed, clocked the shotgun, and fired a beanbag round at Jiro.

BANG!

"Ah, fuck!" Jiro fell to the ground as she felt the impact. She looked up and glared at her classmate as she walked over to her. "What the hell, Yaomomo!" Jiro shouted at her best friend as tears were running down her face and was glaring at Momo.

"I am sorry, Jiro. But this is all for the game." Saud Momo as she took Jiro's headband while she continued to roll on the ground in pain.

"... You're just making her more angry, vice prez." Said Kaminari in a rare moment of understanding.

Over at a different part of the arena, Shoji had carried Mineta on his back and used his extra arms to form a barrier around the shorter student. "Nothing can go wrong." Mineta said to himself as he had already helped Shoji take a few headbands.

"Don't jinx it, Mineta" Stated Shoji as he had a purple flag in hand. Soon they felt the air get heavy.

"W-W-What the?! Why is it getting heavy?!"

Thud!

Shoji let go as he felt like the Earth's gravity was crushing him. Mineta wasn't doing any better because of his smaller body.

"I'll be taking that, thank you very much." Said a voice. Mineta could barely turn his head as he saw that it was Zato. Walking forward, the blind student took Mineta's and Shoji's headbands along with the flag the multi-armed student was carrying.

"DAMN YOU!" screamed Mineta as he glared at Zato.

However the main event was focused on the center as a loud voice rang out. "DEKUUUUU! You're supposed to be a pebble!" Bakugo shouted as he was snarling like a mad dog upon laying his eyes on Izuku and Ochako.

As the explosive blonde charged forward, a large ice wall was erected that blocked Bakugo's path.

"What the?! THE FUCK?! ICY-HOT! HE WAS MINE!"

Shoto stoically ignored Bakugo as he focused on Izuku and Ochako.

"Uraraka, go." Izuku stated.

"Are you sure?" Ochako quickly replied.

"Yes, now go!"

Ochako nodded as she tapped herself to become lighter to become more mobile.

Izuku was throwing proper punches. Jabs, Straights, and the occasional hook punch. All enhanced by One For All.

Shoto's ice walls were cracking apart faster than he could form them.

"Don't count me out, bastards!"

From behind one of the walls, Bakugo breaks through and sends out an explosion, briefly catching both off guard. "He's mine! Wait your turn, Icy-Hot!"

"You're not of any interest, Bakugo." Shoto stated firmly as he saw Zato take a swung at him with his cane. "You, on the other hand, are a wild card."

Zato took a swing at Shoto however he managed to dodge the swing. "You're faster than I thought." Zato complimented Shoto before striking him from his right with his unarmed hand. Shoto grunted from the surprise hit as he quickly recovered from the blow. As he backed away he felt something on his cheek. He touched his cheek as his eyes widened. It was blood, his blood. "When did he cut me?"

Midoriya took advantage of Shoto's distraction by firing off controlled strikes. Jabs, straights, and the occasional hook. One strike hit Shoto, prompting him to create an ice wall.

CRACK!

Shoto was shocked by how fast it broke apart, forcing him to create more ice walls.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

'What the?! How?! How is Midoriya breaking through my ice that fast!' Shoto internally screamed.

Shoto's arm is starting to strain, then in a split moment, a blaze of fire emits from his other half. Izuku managed to dodge as Bakugo and Zato saw them coming. Both managed to get out of the way from the oncoming fire.

"Fucking A, Icy-Hot!" Bakugo shouted at Shoto with a glare.

Zato landed not too far from where he dropped the flag he stole. However, Zato realized that the headband he was wearing was missing.

"Wait a minute... how did…"

A few minutes prior

Ochako is hiding behind the ice walls, hoping to get a headband without fighting too much. She managed to grab the headbands that were dropped earlier. "Wait, there's one!" she said to herself, pointing out the blind boy who challenged Deku.

She had to power through the nausea but it's to help get to the finals. As she pushed through, she positioned herself right before jumping into the Frey. The brunette was getting closer to the blind boy and lept right behind him as he was distracted. In one fell swoop, she snatched the headband and jumped away from the oncoming fireball. Ochako landed safely away as she swept away her sweat. "Whew. I avoided that one!" Soon her stomach growled and she promptly threw up some of her earlier meal.

"Ohhh... I jinxed myself... " Ochako muttered as she vomited the last remaining bits of her stomach content.

During the chaos, Iida managed to use the fight as cover to grab the fallen flag. "I have it now!" He shouted as he used his quirk to overclock his engines and make a beeline back to his home base.

Back at the center of the field, Shoto was shaking as he stared at his left hand as he saw the flames ice his skin. "W-What just happened?!" Shoto stuttered out, shaking with shock with a side dish of anger. He made his vow but he was thinking back to what Silver said to him.

"Right... right... must keep the vow."

Snatch!

Shoto soon regained his composure but then felt that his headband was missing.

"I told you to not look down on me, Icy-Hot!" Shouted Bakugo. In his left hand was his headband and using his free hand, he sent an explosion toward Shoto in retaliation. Acting quickly, Shoto put up another ice wall to defend against the blast.

Bakugo snarled that Shoto kept playing defensive until he got smacked in the face by a cane and tumbled to the ground. "You're going to need to learn to be aware of your surroundings." Zato stayed firmly as he managed to get Bakugo's headband.

"Get back here, you blind fuck!" Bakugo screamed as he was letting out miniature explosions and was ready to throw down.

"AND THAT'S GAME EVERYONE!"

All of the teams stopped suddenly at Midnight's announcement.

"We are going to tally up the points and the top 4 teams will be able to move on to the final round!"

Everyone was waiting in anticipation, though Bakugo believes he's in first.

The score board soon showed the results:

1st: Team Midoriya

2nd: Team Todoroki

3rd: Team Bakugo

4th: Team Suiseigan

With the results, each captain had different reactions to their placements. Izuku was in complete shock "W-wait, first place?!" Izuku shouted. When he looked over to his teammates, he saw Ochako giving him a thumbs up despite looking a little on the pale side and Tokoyami and Mei looking excited to make it to the final round.

"I'm going to show the world my babies!" Mei shouted excitedly as she was hugging a blushing Tokoyami. Dark Show also came out and hugged both as well. "Fumi, this is awesome! We're going to the finals!"

Todoroki's reaction was slight shock, but he recovered his composure quickly. "Hmph. Not bad though." He glanced at his teammates to see how they were taking their placement. Momo had her hand on her heart as she sighed in relief. "We can only improve in the next bout, Todoroki!" Iida exclaimed; hand-chopping included.

"I'm just happy to make it at all." Remarked Kaminari as he leaned on Iida.

Over with Bakugo, he was fuming at getting third place and was cussing up a storm.

"Uhh... should we?" Asked Sero.

Mina nodded no, indicating they should let Bakugo rage for a healthy few minutes. Kirishima wisely backs away, taking Mina's advice.

"DAMN DEKU! IT'S HIS FAULT!"

Zato lowered his head as Shinsou put his hand on his shoulder. "Well, Zato. You didn't follow through." Said Shinsou as he looked at the scoreboard.

Zato turned to his best friend and smirked. "You're right, however we can make it up in the next bout."

Over with Monoma and Ibara, they were both excited to make it to the final round.

Ibara made a small prayer, thankful that the Lord showed them the path to victory. Monoma was grinning that they made it to the final round.

Midnight took center stage as she was ready to reveal what's coming up next. "And the final round will be... a combat tournament! But before we go into the rules, we will take an hour break! Be sure to come back so you won't miss the action!" With a single wink the crowd was fired up as the students decided to take a short break.

Zato moved through the crowd and found Ibara. "My lady, shall I give you what I promised?" Zato said with a bow. Ibara nods but has a blush on her face, though she stutters a bit.

"P-please lead t-the way, Sir Zato of Bethsaida." Monoma cauaght onto this, but Bethsaida? That's a new one right there. He decided not to press on the matter as he didn't want to know what Zato promised is classmate.

Up in the private booths, Silver and Toshi talked about how Izuku and the rest of the Heroes Course performed during the festival. "Well, that was quite the interesting event..." Toshinori said to Silver. The latter had a smirk in response.

"And you said you only had very little faith in me." The old vigilante answered.

"I can admit... I was wrong."

As they were about to walk down stares they came face to face with quite possibly the last person Silver would want to talk with. Before them was a A mountain of a man with a flaming beard but in the eyes of a child? Someone's nightmare. This man was Enji Todoroki. Or as most people know him as, Endeavor the Flame Hero and the number two Hero in Japan.

Toshi kept his signature smile but Silver was a different story. His eyes narrowed at the Flame Hero and to put it mildly, they did not agree on many things.

"And what brings an old fool like you to the U.A. Sports Festival?" Endeavor sneered, glaring at Silver.

"Oh, simple, I'm the new assistant teacher for the Heroes Course alongside All Might. Your looking more pretentious than normal, so what brings you here?" Silver answered quickly.

"I'm here to observe my son, that is all. That boy of mine is being rebellious. He already lost first place to a nobody, a blind child, and a permanent Sidekick. If he used his flames he would become the number one Hero in only two years."

"And I would agree with you. However, have you ever thought he wouldn't use his flames?"

"... Elaborate."

"Figure it out yourself."

Enji's a bit miffed at it, but walks away from it. Toshi turns to Silver as he's surprised by how he managed to keep his cool despite, the Flame Hero's less than flattering comments. "I never thought Endeavor was this ... rude to be honest."

"You pro heroes really need to learn more about each other instead of one upping each other." Silver stated bluntly. Both walked ahead and decided to get some taiyaki.

Lunch Area

The students were enjoying their break talking among themselves and getting ready for the third round. However the pervert trio had a plan they will see go through.

"You got the plan?" Tsubaraba asked as Mineta was grinning like a madman while Kaminari was pumped.

"So... the plan's clear, right? We ask Yaoyorozu to make some cheerleader outfits that were part of the festival and get the girls into it." Said Kaminari.

"You read my mind."

Mineta jumped to his feet and was ready to see this plan come true. Over at a different area Izuku was carrying a plate of curry for his lunch as he was ready to eat. "Midoriya…" A voice called our to him. He turned around to see Shoto was staring him down.

"Y-yes Todoroki?"

"We need to talk in private."

"W-Why?"

Shoto's glare told him that it was very personal. Not wanting to anger him, Izuku followed him. It continued for a few minutes until they stopped in a hallway. Izulu fiddled with his fingers on what Shoto wanted from him.

"Uh... Todoroki, is there a poin-"

"What exactly did you do during the 2nd round?" Demanded Shoto.

Midoriya's caught off by the question. "What did I do?"

"You made me use my fire... something I vowed never to do."

Izuku wasn't sure how to respond. He already knew Shoto only used one half of his quirk but not the other. Something told him he was about to find out why.

"Have you heard of Quirk Marriages?" Questioned Shoto as his eyes were filled with hate.

Izuku thought for a moment before connecting the dots to what Shoto is implying. "You?" Shoto nods.

Shoto's glare hardened as he looked at his left hand. "My father... brought my mother in some sort of deal, all to produce someone that can overtake All-Might. He trained and abused me when I first got my Quirk. And all the pressure he put my mother through...caused her to lash out at me because I looked like him."

Izuku is speechless, disturbed at Shoto's father, the number two Hero in Japan, for doing such a thing to a young boy. He's even clenching his fist in anger too. However, Izuku had to take a few breaths to calm himself down. "So you refuse your flames because it reminds you of Endeavor?" Izuku quietly asked. Shoto nods yes

"Todoroki, the only one who can decide if that power is a curse is you. At the end of day, no matter how you slice it, it's you." Izuku stated firmly.

Shoto is surprised by this answer. "Me...?"

"Yes, you. It's all on you to decide if your power's a curse." Reaffirmed Izuku.

Shoto is at a loss for words, wanting to come up with a response to it.

"I don't know what to say."

And scene. I wanted to thank everyone for the support and a few others for beta reading as well as giving me feedback, leave a review, and I hope to see more comments.
