AN: Alright here is the new chapter of a Silver Legacy But right now I have a few announcements.

Recently my mom has been diagnosed with lymphoma however the good news is that it was caught early by the doctors and will be getting treatment soon. However, I'm still understandably unnerved by this news but I do have hope that she will make a full recovery.

I also wanted to let people know for my other fic, Hero X Zone, that chapter two is in the works and I hope to get it out as soon as I can.

For now, I hope you enjoy the recent chapter so please fave, follow, and comment. I am more than happy to have feedback.

I don't own either MHA or OP as it belongs to their respective owners and the only thing I own are my OCs.

Thank you

Toshi wasn't sure what Silver was talking about. "Haki?" He asked the old man.

"I'll explain a little later. For now, I want to check up on him since it's the first time he used it." Replied Silver. He got up and made a beeline to Izuku.

Silver finds Izuku, and checks if he's injured or overwhelmed in any way, however, the young boy was talking to the last person he would ever consider a 'friend' in the farthest stretch of the word. That man was Enji Todoroki A.K.A Endeavor the Flame Hero.

"... Why is he here?" Silver asked himself. Enji would look intimidating to a regular person and any Villian that crossed him but what is he trying to accomplish from talking with Izuku?

"... You have a duty to make Shoto utilize the other half of his Quirk." Commanded Endeavor glaring down Izuku. The poor boy was shaking in his red shoes at the Number two hero's scowl.

"W-w-wait, why?!" Stuttered out the poor boy as he barely held Endeavor's judgmental gaze.

"He's been putting on this rebellion for far too long." Stated Endeavor.

Oh, this crap again?

"Does the advice I give you tend to go out one ear and out the other, jackass?" Silver interrupted, giving Endeavor a harsh glare.

The Number Two Hero shot Silver a glare of his own. "What did you just-oh it's you again. How many times am I going to see you again, you old bastard?" Barked Endeavor before he quickly composed himself.

"I would have preferred not seeing you at all."

The two adults had an intense stare-down where neither backed down. The tension was so thick, that one could cut it with a knife.

"Midoriya, I want to talk with you in private after I give Endeavor a few words of advice to him." Said Silver as he kept his focus on the Number two hero.

Izuku nods as he heads off down the hall leaving the two adults alone.

"You're right about Shoto being an idiot for not using his left half. However, you are projecting on him and your 'training' did not help him. The last time you projected on one of your kids ended badly."

Enji stood silent for a few seconds... before growling. "... keep your nose out of my personal affairs."

"Unfortunately, those 'personal affairs' are starting to come to light since Shoto is now in the spotlight from the USJ attack and the Sports Festival." Replied Silver sharply.

Endeavor growled in response and his already intense glare deepened. He wanted to say more but decided to cut his losses and left.

When Endeavor was out of the picture, Silver turned around and found Izuku behind the wall not too far from him. "If you're going to eavesdrop, at least be subtle."

"Uhh-uhhh... sorry?" Izuku squeaked out.

Silver just sighed and gestured to Izuku to follow him to a private area.

"Just come with me and I will explain what happened during your match."

"Okay," Said Izuku. The pair found a private hallway to have their talk.

"Alright, kid. You're probably wondering what happened with your fight with who I possibly think might be Shota's secret child." Said Silver.

"Wait, you knew what happened and what are you talking about with Aizawa-sensei's secret child?" Asked a confused Izuku.

"OK just forget about the secret child part, the point is you unintentionally knocked out a few people with your presence alone."

"So... that's what happened? How did I do that?! Was it an unknown power granted by One for All?! Did I hurt any of my friends!? Ar-" panicked Izuku as he was jumping to conclusions.

"Hey, calm yourself, Freckles. And don't worry, your friends are fine but right now you need to take a few breaths." Said Silver trying to calm Izuku down.

Izuku's trying to calm himself down by breathing into his nose and exhaling out his mouth. He did it a couple of times before he felt more relaxed.

"Alright, you good?"

Izuku nodded.

"Alrighty then, what he had unleashed wasn't a quirk, it was your will. It's called Haki and on the surface is a bit like ki."

Izuku wasn't sure how to react. Ki? That couldn't be possible at all and that's something you would find in a manga.

"So does that mean I can shoot balls of ki like in that old manga?" Asked Izuku.

"No, not at all. Look, I will get straight to the point. Haki is not a Quirk." Answered Silver.

"Wait, not a Quirk? Then how would you describe it?!"

Silver put his hand on his chin before answering. "Haki is a power that lies dormant in all the world's creatures... "Presence", "fighting spirit" and "intimidation"... It is not different from the things that humans can naturally sense such as these... 'The act of not doubting'. That is strength."

Izuku was in disbelief. A whole new power anyone can use. Does that mean they are more powerful than Quirk? He continued to listen to what Silver had to say and somehow pulled out his notebook writing down a new page.

"The kind of Haki you displayed was Haoshoku Haki or Conqueror's Haki."

"Conqueror's Haki...?" Izuku said, the notion of it slowly sinking in.

"Before you jump to any conclusions, no it doesn't make me a Villain despite the name. You remember when we first met when those thugs were falling unconscious, that abomination falling overlooking scared, and that feeling you and your friends got when I glared at it? That is the power of the Conqueror's Haki." Clarified Silver.

Izuku remembers the experience vividly. That feeling of overwhelming power and dread sent a shiver down his spine.

Silver sighed. "Look I know this is a lot to take in but it's your own will that manifested."

"My own will... did that?" Asked Izuku. He didn't think much of himself before he got One for All. For most of his life he always felt he was nothing but worthless and unlike the Quirk he inherited, this ability was from him. Was he really worthy of having this power?

"You alright, Freckles?" Izuku blinked before he saw how Silver had a worried look.

"Oh no, I'm perfectly fine! Uhh…Nothing to worry about Silver-sensei." Izuku said frantically, waving his arms around.

"I doubt that Freckles. Regardless, I will explain more about Haki during your private training sessions, alright. These training sessions will be rough but they're worth it in the end. Now come on, I don't want to miss your classmates in action for the tournament."

Izuku was glad that Silver didn't press any further on the matter, but he agreed that he should get to his friends as soon as possible. He soon ran off but saw Tokoyami walking past him.

"Oh, good luck Tokoyami!" Said Izuku.

"Thank you, Midoriya." Responded Tokoyami.

Arena

After a quick break, the tournament was ready for the second round.

"WELCOME BACK TO THE U.A SPORTS FESTIVAL TOURNAMENT! WE JUST GOT INTO THE SECOND ROUND AND BOY ARE THE COMPETITORS READY TO RUMBLE!" Shouted Mic as he was hyping up the audience.

The crowd went wild as they saw Tokoyami walk onto the arena.

"AND STARTING OFF THE SECOND ROUND, IN THE LEFT CORNER! THE LORD OF DARKNESS HIMSELF, FUMIKAGE TOOOOKOOOYAMMMMIIIIIIII!"

Soon Zato made his way to the stage.

"ANDDDD IN THE OTHER CORNER, THE DARK HORSE OF THIS YEAR'S TOURNAMENT! ZATOICHI REBORN HIMSELF, ZATO SUISEIGANNNNNNNN!"

The crowd waited in anticipation for how this match would go.

"The crow flocks down to cast its shadow." Said Zato.

"A fellow of the shadow?" Asked Tokoyami.

"My eyes are wide open and yet I see nothing."

"Did you make a joke?"

"Why would I joke about something that is true? I can hear you and yet I see nothing."

Dark Shadow soon popped out from Tokoyami. "Oh, he's blind, Fumi."

"Fight!" Shouted Midnight and cracked her whip.

(Play Kingdom Hearts II: Tension Rising)

Dark Shadow charged forward with a wide swipe to catch Zato off guard.

Zato dodged and smacked Dark Shadow with his bokken. Normally Dark Shadow wouldn't be hurt by a normal, but the strike made full contact with him, and he definitely felt the pain from the wooden sword strike.

"YEEOOOOWWWW!"

Shock was on Tokoyami's face!

'What?! What did he do?! Normally Dark Shadow would have endured such an attack but to have him in this much pain?' Thought Tokoyami seeing that Dark Shadow squawked in pain and was now actively dodging Zato's swings.

Zato was putting the pressure on Dark Shadow. "I thought you said you were blind?!" Squawked Dark Shadow.

"I am blind, but I am far from helpless" responded Zato as he did an upper strike with his bokken, smacking Dark Shadow's chin before swinging down hard on sentient Quirk's head.

BAM!

Dark Shadow screamed in pain and decided to strike back by head-butting Zato.

The blind boy stumbled back from the blow and nursed the forming bruise on his head. Dark Shadow saw the opportunity to strike and charged.

"Got ya!" Shouted Dark Shadow as he started to shove Zato toward the border of the ring.

'So he wants to aim for a victory by ring out. It's time to quit fooling around.' Thought Zato as he decided to fall on his back.

Tokoyami and Dark Shadow were caught off guard as Zato rolled to his feet and made a mad dash to Tokoyami himself.

'Crap, He's now aiming for me!' Thought Tokoyami as he started to sweat realizing Zato changed his target. Tokoyami held his arms up in defense as Zato was now in range of him with a prepared swing.

Smack!

Zato struck Tokoyami's stomach as the latter let put a gargle gasp from the blow.

The bird-head boy was soon launched off his feet and out of the arena.

"RING-OUT! The winner is Zato Suiseigan!" Announced Midnight.

"The Dark Horse scored a Critical Finish!" Shouted Mic.

(End OST)

The crowd went wild, but the loudest cheers came from Gen Ed's stand. "Whoa, Zato did it again!"

Zato was excited and hollered at seeing Zato win the second round. "YOU GOT THIS!" He shouted while he clapped.

In 1-A's stand another of their classmates lost to the blind Gen Ed student. Zato was able to defeat one of their best fighters in the first round, but being able to get past Dark Shadow and taking down Tokoyami proved that Zato was not a normal Gen Ed.

"No way! He took out Tokoyami!" Shouted Mineta in surprise. Denki nodded in agreement.

"Oh God, whoever wins the next match will have to face him." Said Sero.

Back at the arena, Zato was bowing to the crowd and soon made his way to Tokoyami as he was struggling to get up.

"Hey, you alright?" Asked Zato extending his hand forward.

Tokoyami takes his hand and stands up. "You truly are one with the darkness." Said Tokoyami.

"You are technically right. The darkness helps give you protection and safety." Replied Zato.

Tokoyami nodded in agreement as Zato helped Tokoyami to the exit of the stadium. After a few minutes, the next match was ready to go.

"Alright now let's get this show on the road! In the left corner the Turbo-charged Youth, Iida TENNNNYYYAAAAA!"

Iida soon comes on the stage and starts to wave to the crowd.

"And in the right corner, the Angel of Mercy herself! Shiozaki IBBAAARRRAAAAAAA!"

Ibara came onto the stage, holding her hands for a quick prayer.

Both students stood a few feet across each other as Midnight was ready to give the signal.

"Fight!"

Iida activated his Quirk and dashed straight to Ibara. The vine girl did have the chance to react as she was shoved by Iida and noticed she was out of the ring.

"Ibara is out of the ring, the Winner is Iida!" Announced Midnight.

Ibara was in disbelief at how fast her match ended. "I'm sorry I failed you, my lord." She said softly to herself.

Iida saw the distress in Ibara and tried to cheer her up. "Listen, do not let this get you down. You can still try again next year."

Ibara still sniffled, but said: "But... I still failed…" She ran away before Iida could say another word leaving him dumbfounded.

Arena hallway

As Ibara ran with tears in her eyes, she bumped into someone. When she saw who she ran into, it turned out to be Zato.

"Are you alright, Shiozaki-san? Wait, I can tell your clearly upset." Said Zato.

"I had a horrible showing... during the Sports Festival." Stated Ibara.

Zato however put his hand on her shoulder. "You did come farther than most of your classmates in comparison, Shiozaki-san. I would say that is an accomplishment."

Ibara took a moment to think about it. She did get farther than Monoma in the tournament, so that had to count for something. 'I should be grateful for making it as far as I did. I would be committing a great sin to my Lord for being petty.'

"May I walk you back to your friends?" Zato asked.

Ibara nodded and Zato took her hand. Ibara had a light blush as the pair walked together. Unknown to the pair, Mina saw them and the blush on Ibara.

"Wait... why is he walking with her?" Mina asked herself out loud. However, it soon clicked and gasped. 'Could it be a potential romance!?'

Mina shook her head so she could refocus on why she was down here. Her match was next. And her opponent is Kirishima.

'Wish me luck, guys.' As Mina went to the exit to the field.

Arena

With the quick break over, the next round was ready to go.

"Alright folks, it's time for the third match of the second round! Can I get a 'YEAH' from everyone!?" Announced Mic.

"YEAH!" Shouted the crowd in excitement.

"Now that's what I'm looking for. In the right corner is the pink acid queen of 1-A, ASHIDO MINAAAAAA!"

Mina walked her way onto the stage and waved to the crowd before doing a small break-dance routine to hype them up.

"IN the left corner, this hard rock that's ready to roll! KIRISHIMMAAA EIJJIRROOO!"

Kirishima entered the arena, getting pumped. "No hard feelings, Ashido?" Kirishima asked.

"Same thing to you, Kiri!"

Midnight raised her whip and cracked it signaling the fight.

(Play Shantae: Half-Genie Hero - Boss)

Kirishima made the first strike by giving a right hook jab to Mina's ribs, catching her off guard.

WHAM!

Mina yelped from the strike, but she grabbed his wrist and threw him to the ground before using her acid on her feet to keep some distance between herself and Kirishima.

"Come on Kiri, I know you can do better than that!" Taunted Mina as she skidded across the arena.

"Oh, it's on!" Shouted Kirishima as he hardened his body and charged after her.

During the chase, she threw some of her acid on the ground. The red-haired hero in training tried to slow down but slipped on the acid like it was an oil slick. What he failed to notice was that there was a trail of acid that Mina made, and it led straight out of the ring.

Kirishima flailed his arms to keep balance as he skidded past Mina, who sidestepped out of the way. Kirishima managed to stop himself by dragging his heels into the concrete floor to slow him down and was then at the edge of the ring.

He sighed in relief as he managed to stop himself from getting out however, Mina took the opportunity to kick him in the back and he ended up out of the ring.

(End OST)

"The winner of this match is Ashido Mina by ring out!" Announced Midnight.

While the crowd cheered for Mina, she noticed that Kirishima looked very disheartened. She jogged over to him and offered him a hand.

"Hey, don't be so down, Kiri. You just need to learn for next time. That's what Silver always said when we trained with him."

Kirishima looked up and saw her smile. He started to grin before taking her hand. "Thanks, Mina. I don't know what to do without you."

Midnight takes note of the good sportsmanship for most of the first years.

'It's good to see at least most of the students are looking out for each other.' She thought to herself with a smile watching the two students head out of the arena.

Cementoss started to get to work on fixing up the arena for the next and final match of round 2.

Waiting room 1

Izuku was sitting on the bench still deep in thought after learning about Haki. He contemplated the applications of Haki considering its versatility of it, but there was one thing that bothered him.

'To not have doubt. What does Silver-sensei mean?' He thought to himself. Were his own doubts holding him back more than he thought? Izuku knew he had a great burden placed upon him for being the wielder of One for All but another responsibility added on it, could he handle it at all?

'That power though, would I be able to bring that up again?'

"Midoriya Izuku, your match is about to start. Please head down the stairs to the gates of the arena." Said the intercom. Izuku perked up at the announcement.

'I'll think about what 'having no doubts' means later. I need to help Todoroki.' With that said he got up and was ready for his match.

Waiting room 2

In a separate room, Shoto was looking at his left hand.

'I made a vow to not use my left half. But I made a promise to Midoriya that I will use it.'

Shoto should feel angered by his fire half, but Silver's words came back to him.

'Now tell me, kid, are you an extension of your father's flame, or are you your own?'

Shoto's glare lighted as he looked at his left hand. "Maybe, Silver-sensei was right…I am being spiteful."

"Todoroki Shoto, your match is about to start. Please head down the stairs to the gates of the arena."

Shoto looked up at the speaker and knew it was time to get going.

Arena

"Alright, everyone, it's time for the final match of round 2!"

Shoto walked out onto the stage as he heard Mic getting the crowd excited. He kept his gaze on his left hand before focusing on the open door on the other side.

"He's got a cold shoulder! Welcome one of the powerhouses of 1-A, Shoto Todoroki!"

Shoto remained calm, ignoring the cheers.

He soon saw Izuku making his way to the arena with a determined expression. Izuku was ready, taking a fighting stance.

"AND FINALLY HERE COMES THE MEAN GREEN MACHINE OF 1-A, IZUKU MIDORIYAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Both boys stood and waited for the signal.

"Ready? CLASH!"

(Play Blazblue Central Fiction: Jeager [Naoto Kurogane theme])

Todoroki made the first move by freezing the ground of the arena. He slid forward as he tried to launch his fire but couldn't.

'Does Todoroki have a mental block with his flames?' Izuku noted as he barely dodged the tackle.

Izuku wonders if forcing him to use flames would work. He decided to send a flurry of punches at Todoroki who blocked them with his arms.

Although Shoto blocked the barrage, he still felt the impact of Izuku's blows. He was not holding back.

"Todoroki, use your flames! They're yours!"

"I'M TRYING!" he screamed, intensifying his ice.

In the stands, Silver was frowning in disappointment at Shoto being unable to let go of his spite.

'Come on kid, I set up the path for you. Now show me why you are worthy of being a leader.'

Back in the arena, Shoto kept sticking his left hand out to unleash anything and still nothing came out. He grunts out and starts to blast more ice. Izuku easley dodged the sloppy attack.

"Stay... away! Stay away!" Shoto shouted as he was trembling. The cold was starting to get to him, but he powered through as he made an ice barrier to protect himself.

Izuku wasn't having it, but he needed to get through to Shoto. He then channeled One for All into his arm and threw a punch at the barrier. The punch smashed into the ice, partly breaking it. Izuku grits his teeth as he starts to feel his knuckles bleed and his fingers starting to strain.

Shoto tried in vain to keep the barrier up, but Izuku kept on going, never giving him any room to breathe.

Shoto felt a punch into his ribs then another and another. Izuku then gave one final punch and broke the ice barrier. The force of the blow caused Shoto to slide against the ground. Thankfully he didn't get ringed out, however, his right side started to show signs of frostbite.

"Please use your flames to become the hero you want to be!" Shouted Izuku.

Those words rang in Shoto's head. This caused him to remember his mother's words to him when he was younger.

'You can be the hero you choose to be.'

Flames started to dance on Shoto's left hand, he knew what he must do. Let lose his flames. In doing so, Izuku immediately leapt back as he felt the intensity of the heat. He saw Shoto generates a small fire in his hand which gradually gets bigger.

Izuku however starts to channel One for All before a bright glow surrounds him.

The crowd stood in awe as they had a feeling that the match was about to reach its climax. Within the large crowd, Endeavor was laughing. "YOU HAVE ACCEPTED IT, SHOTO! USE YOUR FLAMES LIKE YOU WERE MEANT TO!"

In the private stands, Toshi was looking at Izuku's glowing form. Could he unlock more of One for All's potential?

Silver meanwhile smirked as he saw Izuku finally get through to Shoto.

'Good work, kid.'

Down at the arena, Izuku was charged with an OFA-powered haymaker into Shoto while the former final unleashed a large torrent of fire.

"MIDDDOOOOOODORRRRRRIYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Screamed Shoto unleashing his built-up flames. It was a bright orange and red wildfire dancing and racing across the arena straight to Izuku. The heat was so intense, that those in the front row seats of the arena had felt the heat and singed part of their hair.

"TOOOOODDDDDDOOORRROOOOOKKKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" Screamed back Izuku charged headfirst into the flame. Izuku's fist shot out like a bullet from hell. Izuku's fist felt further solid, almost as if armor was forming around it and the rest of his body. Without another thought, he powered through the flames and kept going.

Both clashed as Todoroki kept his palm open to keep the blaze going, while Izuku kept pushing with his fists. A powerful aura was coming from both boys as it was a green aura from Izuku clashing with a purple aura from Shoto. The arena beneath their feet was starting to split and crack from the intensity.

Soon a giant flash overtook both boys and the entire arena. Everyone had to cover their eyes from the powerful clash. Silver however realized that his guess from earlier was right after all.

'Looks like I'm going to up the training for everyone and pet them in on what happened after the tournament is over.'

When the brightness from the clash finally died down, the audience was in shock. Both Izuku and Todoroki were out of bounds, knocked out, and embedded into the wall on opposite sides.

(End OST)

The crowd was dead silent at what they had just witnessed. In the commentary booth, Mic was dead silent, his sunglasses having fallen off and his mouth gaping. Aizawa's eyes were wide as he was trying to comprehend what just happened between his two students.

In the stands where the Pro-Heroes were seated Endeavor couldn't find any words to describe what he felt and witnessed. Even the normally boisterous All Might was speechless. Even in the students' stands, nobody said a word.

Midnight peeked from behind the pillar and saw that both Izuku and Shoto were unconscious and out of the ring.

"I-it looks like this epic match ended in a draw as both combatants are out of the ring and are unable to battle!" Announced Midnight trying to get her nerve back from the overwhelming power she saw firsthand.

Slowly, one person began to clap. Then another and another. Soon it was a snowball effect as the crowd began to clap and cheer for Izuku and Shoto, while the pair were loaded up on a stretcher by the medibots and taken to the medical room for treatment from their match.

In the stand for 1-A, Tsu and Momo noticed Kirishima was crying. "Kirishima, is there something wrong?" Asked Momo. She was concerned for her classmate, and she wanted to be sure he was OK.

"That…WAS THE MANLIEST FIGHT I HAVE WITNESSED AND I CAN FEEL THE CHEST HAIR GROWING ON ME!" Kirishima shouted, causing a few of his classmates to jump.

"Too much information, Kirishima!" Scolded Jiro, smacking him upside the head.

Back in the private stands, Toshi got up from his seat, followed by Silver, and both made a beeline to see the status of his protégé. 'Young Midoriya, I hope you are alright!' Toshi thought as he was running at a speed he wouldn't normally be capable of in his weakened state.

When the pair got to the medical room where Izuku and Shoto were, Toshi was surprised by what he saw. Despite the amount of heat and power the 2 displayed, they had minor injuries in comparison to what they both should have.

Izuku had a burn on the right side of his cheek along with an imprint of an open palm. Some of the skin on his torso is singed. Shoto, meanwhile, had a bruise on his face from Izuku's fist. Their clothes did have some small tears although Izuku's sweatshirt was signed.

Toshi sighed in relief as the pair heard the door open behind them. Silver turned around, briefly stopping, and recognizing the small nurse.

"Rayleigh. How nice of you to be here." Recovery Girl's tone was neutral but had a very strong edge to her voice.

Silver froze for what appeared to be seconds before recovering. "Hello, Chiyo." Answered back, Silver.

Toshi however felt the tension between the two elders just like how they were when they met at Nezu's office. "Is there something I should know, Silver?" He asked nervously.

The elderly pair looked at each other for a moment before Silver sighed. "Yeah there is. Chiyo is my ex-wife and as you can tell, we're not exactly on good terms."
