Part II

Goddess of the Two Heavens

"Yeah, but like, what should we name it?" Harry asks as I look down at the paper, labeled as a guild registration form. Dynamm and Dale nod as Klein sips on a beer he had produced from his inventory.

"We tended to go with Fuurinkazan, it's what we used in previous games." Klein proposes. I look at him, scratching my neck.

"What does that mean? What kanji?" I inquire curiously, picturing the name in my mind.

"Wind, woods, fire, mountain." Klein informs me as the kanji takes shape in my mind. I nod, thinking. It wasn't a bad name, but it didn't really carry the iconic strength I wanted. But it was worth remembering.

"Oh, this is like naming a club, right!? What about… Nitennobushi?" Miyamoto proposes, grinning.

"Warriors of the Two Heavens? But… you can't exactly dual wield in this game, so that doesn't make sense." I reply, frowning. It was a neat name, but didn't fit the situation. Miyamoto pouts and nods.

"Right… well… I'm not helping you with the martial arts quest then." She replies, huffily. I look at her and raise an eyebrow.

"Moody today, aren't you? Freeloader." I fire back and she scoffs.

"Freeloader?!" She pouts.

"Who pays for like… all of your food and drink? Not you." I shoot her a pointed look and she huffs and slumps her shoulders.

"What about… Avalon?" Artoria interjects meekly after a moment of silence. I look at her.

"Avalon… like the island in the legend of King Arthur?" Asuna pipes up, looking at Artoria. Her knowledge on these things always surprised me. She must have come from a pretty privileged upbringing. It would explain why she had been so gloomy on the first floor. It was no doubt a strong transition for her. Now though, she was more lively, and the reds and blues that had become the sort of 'team colors' after the inclusion of Miyamoto only made her look more radiant against her hair.

"That's not a bad name, actually." Kunimittz agrees, nodding, breaking me from my train of thought. I look at Kunimittz, then Artoria, who was blushing slightly at being the center of attention. She shifted awkwardly. I nod. After all, it wasn't a bad name at all. Simple and memorable.

"Should we do Avalon then?" Klein asks, looking around as the others nod.

Avalon is where heroes are meant to go, so it works. It's not unlike Elysium in that regard… I think to myself, but the idea of Elysium sounded good as well.

"Hold that thought. I want to think on this some more." I raise my hand to slow the process as the others look at me, surprised.

"Come up with something, Kaz?" Issin asks, cocking his head curiously. I shake my head.

"I feel like I'm onto something here." I reply, shaking my head.

A guild, its name should define it and its people. I think to myself, trying to come up with a name that incorporated as much as possible while also being iconic. As I was thinking, my eyes glanced at the line just below the Guild Name, "Guild Abbreviation," stuck out to me.

"Kaz?" Artoria asks me curiously, stirring me out of my thoughts.

"Huh? What is it?" I ask, looking at Artoria.

"Well, you were smiling, so I was curious if something came to mind." Artoria replies, as I feel my face. I had apparently be subconsciously grinning. I nod.

"I got a name, yes." I reply, looking at everyone who was staring at me.

"Well, don't keep us in suspense." Kunimittz goads me. I nod and take a deep breath.

"Aincrad Revolution: Grand Order." I state, firmly and confidently. Dale cocks his head.

"Isn't that a big long though?" Dale states as I grin and shake my head. After all, it wasn't the name that I was after. But rather… the abbreviation.

"That name, yes. But if you abbreviate it, you get ARGO." I state simply, looking around.

"You mean, like the beta tester that made the little guide books?" Klein asks curiously, looking at me. I prepare to respond, but Asuna beats me to the punch.

"Or like the Greek ship, the Argo." Asuna interjects, I look at her and nod with a slight smile.

"Exactly. ARGO, after the ship. Which would make the members of the guild the Argonauts." I explain as the others nod.

"Oh… that makes more sense. And it's simple and iconic." Harry responds, nodding more.

"And there is a historical connection." Dale adds.

"It casts us as heroes too." Asuna comments. Everyone seemed to be warming to the name as I watched them. Even Miyamoto seemed to like it, though she was vaguely familiar as to why I had a particular fondness for the name.

"So, are we in agreement?" I ask after a moment. Gradually, the table nods in assent. I nod and look down at the paper. I pick up the quill and quickly fill in the application and have everyone sign onto it. Once everyone had signed, I take the application, turning it in to complete the quest, officially creating the Aincrad Revolution: Grand Order.
