Chapter 20
Fitz opened the car door for Liv after he strapped Noelle into her car seat on the other side. He signaled to Lex, the driver, that he had the doors, as the gentlemen nodded. "Go on my signal, Lex." Fitz said.
"We're sticking to plan A, Sir?" Lex wanted to be sure.
"As of this moment yes, I'm known to change my mind in a minute." Fitz smirked as Lex nodded and went to the wheel awaiting further instructions. Fitz took a deep, disappointed breath. "Right now, it's still plan A." Fitz shook his head, not agreeing with himself.
Before Liv got in the car, Fitz held her by her elbow. "That dress is coming off slowly tonight, so slowly, and afterwards, may be a bit painful, but in a good way." Liv looked at him, her mouth slightly ajar as he licked his lips watching her shiver and get into the car.
He slid into the car on the other side, next to Noelle, across from Liv. The car sat idle for a moment and just as Fitz was to tell Lex to go, Liv began looking all around. "What is it?" Fitz asked.
"I left my bag on the yacht." She went to get out of the car. Fitz pulled the car handle, and Liv stopped him. "No, it's ok, I'll go get it."
"Kelly?" Noelle asked, almost pleading. "I play."
Liv looked at Fitz and shrugged. "She may get bored at a party filled with overpriced developers. Wouldn't do much harm." Liv defended her.
"Ok." Fitz poked her nose. "Kelly, but not UNI."
"UNI too special." Noelle said.
Fitz watched Liv walk to the yacht. She looked delicious in that dress, and he wanted to be anywhere but where he was going tonight. He looked at the well lighted yacht, still all aglow with Christmas lights. The train display of lights still going as if the train was moving.
He looked over at Noelle, just staring out at the darkening sky and the lights from the other boats docked at the marina. Looking closely at her, she was frowning, and she took a deep breath, wiping away a tear about to fall.
"Noelle, what is it?" Fitz reached over and pulled the belts off. She practically fell into her father's arms and buried her head in his neck. Fitz felt the wetness of her tears as she began to give small sobs.
Fitz rubbed her tiny back, hugging her tightly. "Noelle, talk to daddy, why are you so sad. What has you crying like this, this isn't like you."
Noelle shrugged one shoulder. She was trying to get her thoughts to words. She understood her father's instructions to stay with Ovivia, but she was afraid. She wasn't always around strange adults in a strange place. She pulled back and looked at Fitz.
"Our vacation." Noelle said, wiping another tear. "You, me, Ovivia." She sniffled now, not wanting to cry anymore. "I scared, daddy."
Fitz's eyes danced with his three year old's. For as long as she could understand, everything had been just her when they were together. He never took out his phone, had business meetings, and didn't have business acquisition parties. It dawned on him that the many adults in the room may frighten his little girl.
"You don't want to go to the party?" he asked her quietly.
She shook her head. "No, want to stay with you and Ovivia."
"But we will be there, sweet pea. We won't leave you alone."
"Daddy meeting." Noelle shrugged again. "Our vacation."
He nodded, now, agreeing with his daughter. "You're right, Noelle, our vacation. Daddy shouldn't be on the phone so much and I shouldn't be having meetings." He looked at her now, seeing a small smile come across her beautiful face.
This cruise, this whole trip was supposed to be Noelle, Olivia, and me, that's it, Fitz's thoughts were getting the best of him. He looked up and sighed.
Noelle poked the bump in his jacket that was holding the engagement ring. Fitz pulled out the box and twirled it in his hand. Tonight, he was going to do it, if they did plan B, but he wasn't so sure doing plan A now, if he would go through with it.
"What that?" Noelle asked pointing at the box.
"A ring." Fitz said. "For Olivia."
"Pretty" Noelle said.
"It's in the box, how do you know it's pretty."
"Ovivia pretty." Noelle said.
"Yes, she is, very pretty. This ring is a surprise, for the secret, don't tell her about it."
"Sparkle?" Noelle asked.
"Yes, a very big sparkle," Fitz laughed. "She puts on the ring if she wants to marry me."
Noelle nodded, unimpressed, and took a deep sigh. "Big people party now?" She saw Ovivia coming towards the car holding her Kelly. "Here Ovivia with Kelly."
Fitz put the box back into his pocket. "Fuck this," he said low enough for Noelle not to hear. "This is our vacation, Princess, right." He said in a louder voice.
"Right." Noelle watched Fitz take his phone out. She climbed back into her car seat and as Olivia opened the door, Noelle reached up for Kelly and hugged her tightly when Liv handed it to her. Strapping her back in, Liv sat next to Fitz, across from Noelle.
She looked at Fitz, phone in his hand and she gave a concerning look. He never would have that phone out during any of his time with Noelle, yet he's been on it quite consumingly these days. She took a deep breath. This was his business; she wasn't going to come between it.
Liv glanced over at Noelle who was whispering something to Kelly and Liv smiled. She remembers being so close to her dolls too, they really did act like a girl's best friend sometimes. Fitz's hand began rubbing her back as he began to speak into the phone.
"Boris, change of plans. I'm not doing this; I don't need to be there. Your bank account is filled up because of me, you take care of this, why is my presence needed, they just want the money and the deal. I can sign all the paperwork tomorrow."
"Ah, Fitz, but your presence makes sure it's a done deal." Boris really wanted Fitz there. It would make a better impression on the developers, but Fitz wasn't wrong, this was going to be a done deal.
"Tell you what. You're my lawyer, you know these Bahamas rules, up the percent to 35, ground break in a month, and make sure the labor is union. I'm going out with my family, it's my vacation, I'm leaving the work to you. I'll let Marcus know, and you know he oversees anything else not attorney related."
Before Boris could say another word, Fitz hung up and turned to Liv. He kissed her temple. "Change of plans, this cruise, these days are supposed to be for us, not money hungry developers." Lex stepped out of the car to make sure everything was ok.
"Lex, plan B, we're going out as a family." Fitz kissed a smiling Liv. "Oh, that makes you happy."
"No, you make me happy. What's plan B?"
"Surprise, Livvie," Fitz laughed. Once the car began to pull away from the marina, he called Marcus. "Change of plans for me. My family is first here Marcus, take care of what's needed, Boris will explain everything. I've changed some provisions to the deal."
Marcus couldn't argue with Fitz. He had known from the beginning, once Noelle came into his life, Fitz would always choose her first, even over million dollar investments. "Got it Mr. Grant." Marcus nodded and pointed to the counter for the caterer to put down the tray of appetizers. "What should I tell them is the reason for your absence?"
"Nothing, you're in charge, and I'm not there. I had better things to tend to." Fitz kissed Noelle's head and rubbed Liv's hand as he said the words. "Now I'll expect everything will go smoothly. Any word on Randolph?"
"Waiting on Denzel to call back. He had visual on him at the construction site." Marcus informed him, but that was it.
"Ok, well, my phone will be off. I expect big news when I turn it back on tomorrow. Enjoy the party, and just think it's all being charged to me anyway." He hung up the phone.
Once Fitz was done, he told Lex it was a go, and the car began heading in a direction opposite the Lyford Cay beach house mansion.
"I hope wherever we are going we are dressed for the occasion. I wouldn't want to be playing mini golf in a dress like this." Liv laughed as she put her head on his shoulder.
Noelle's sadness had turned to happiness. Her frown now a smile, as she was more relaxed being with the two people, she loved the most in the world. She smiled at Kelly and gave her a big hug as she watched the lights and palm trees drift by on this strange island.
Denzel was having a hard time zig zagging through the lanes as easily as Randolph was doing. Randolph knew these streets much better than he did, and clearly, Randolph was on a mission. Without taking his eyes off the road, Denzel clicked the phone for Fitz's number.
It went right to voicemail. "Phone is off for a reason, leave a message." Denzel ended the call without leaving a message and watched as Randolph went speeding through a red light, in the direction of Fitz's home on the Cay.
Going slowly at first, Denzel noticed no cars utilizing the green light that wasn't his, and he went speeding through the same red light Randolph had just gone through seconds ago. He heard car horns blaring and shouts, so it was easy to get back to Randolph's tail.
Being able to get close enough to watch his reckless driving, Denzel was able to get Marcus's phone to ring now. "Denzel, talk to me, what's going on? The party is in full swing and I'm subbing in for Fitz."
"Fitz isn't there?" Denzel hooked a right to continue following Randolph.
"Nah, he bailed, gave me orders on what to do and Boris is here to clear any legal issues. These developers though are hungry for greed, they are relentless, I can see why Randolph lost his shit."
"Well, gear yourselves, he is on his way there now and he's armed."
"What the F…." Marcus looked at everyone who was poolside now and heard him scream into the phone. He brought it down to a lower whisper. "What do you mean he's armed? He's heading here?"
"Yeah, I'm on his tail, the guy is literally doing 70 through these streets I'm surprised neither one of us has killed anyone yet. Aren't there any traffic enforcement in this country?"
"Should I?" Marcus was at a loss. "Should I tell everyone to leave? Denzel talk to me!"
"I can't, Marcus, just be on alert, I don't know what else to tell you. You should hear screeching in…"
Marcus turned as he heard a crash and a screech. Someone's car was hit, because Marcus heard one of the drivers screaming out. Then there was silence. Marcus is guessing Randolph got out of the car and pointed the gun at whomever was yelling, shutting him up quickly. At least Marcus didn't hear a gunshot. What if he has a silencer?
Marcus wasn't sure if this was an emergency enough yet to get Fitz on the phone. He had Lex's number just in case, but Fitz's words echoed in Marcus's mind. "If the town is about to explode any everyone of us is in danger, then call, I have a special night planned Marcus, please just try to take care of things."
Fitz had always been there for Marcus, never questioning his decisions once in the ten years he's worked for him. He trusted him with his most confidential things, and now Fitz is happy with the love he's found with Olivia. This was Marcus's idea to have this party to get this land out of Randolph's hands and into Fitz's. Marcus had to take care of this.
The soft music, although loud, and the blinking lights from the pool was an easy guess for anyone coming in to know exactly where everyone was. Marcus took a hard swallow and turned the music off, summoning the catering staff to go inside.
"Gentleman, we have a serious problem. Randolph is armed and he's on property. Please brace yourselves, this could get messy."
"Is it an AR-15, or his tiny handgun?" Jenkings laughed. Jenkings was the lead developer, owner of the property Fitz was going to build on.
Marcus tilted his head in disbelief. "You're not serious right now are you Mr. Jenkings.?"
The older gentlemen waved his hand in the air. "The man is unstable, has been for years, this isn't anything new." Jenkings looked up as Denzel and Randolph came crashing through the gate, Randolph's gun sliding just by the entrance to the pool.
Marcus just looked around at all these men Fitz was willing to give his money to, these apathetic men who couldn't care one bit about Randolph and his life and Marcus felt nothing but anger and guilt. He should've left Fitz alone and let him enjoy his cruise. He had to take care of this.
"Denzel, let him go." Marcus yelled.
Denzel's face was full of confusion. "Marcus, he's." With the distraction, Randolph elbowed Denzel in the stomach, and even though it knocked the breath out of him, Denzel held his grip on Randolph. "Marcus, I'm not letting him go."
Now all the developers were standing as if they were watching a boxing match, they had millions on. "Ah, let him go, Denzel," one of the developers said, "he's never had any balls."
Marcus had been able to situate himself behind Denzel as Denzel was listening to these men just berate Randolph. He almost felt sorry for the guy and didn't want to let him go now, just to protect him. He felt his shirt get tugged, and Marcus pulled Denzel back, both falling to the grass.
Denzel never let his eyes off Randolph, and he watched as the man lunged immediately for the gun that no one was smart enough to pick up or take it out of reach. "What the hell his wrong with you, Marcus?" He watched helplessly as Randolph now had the gun back in his possession.
Suddenly, now the developers weren't that tough as the crazy man they were picking on had a gun in his hands and was wildly pointing it from one end of the line of men to the other. The only ones not in Randolph's line of fire were Marcus and Denzel.
"He's going to kill himself Marcus, I'm sure of it." Denzel wanted to lunge at him, but he didn't know if the gun would go off, killing someone not meant to get killed. "What the fuck were you thinking doing this?"
"These developers are shit. I should've never gotten Fitz involved. Let Randolph do what he needs to do. I just thank God Fitz didn't come with Noelle and Olivia." They both faced the scene in front of them wondering how this was going to play out.
"Plan B, sir." The car came to a stop and Lex called to the back. "Shall I get the door?"
"Give us a minute, Lex, ok."
"Yes sir."
Fitz unbuckled Noelle who hopped into Fitz's lap. Fitz rubbed Liv's back as she looked out the window trying to decipher where they were. Noelle rested her head on her daddy's chest, gripping Kelly close to her. "No big people party." She whispered in Kelly's ear.
Liv turned to Fitz, looked at Noelle, and back to Fitz. "What does she mean by that?"
"She was pretty upset when you went back to get the doll and your bag. She didn't want to go to the party. It spooked her that I wanted her to be so careful and to stick to you or Marcus's side. I didn't think this through Livvie, and I should have never brought business along on this trip. I'm sorry."
Liv's shoulders slumped just a bit and she rubbed Noelle's back. "What if this deal falls through though?"
Fitz shrugged. "Wouldn't be the first deal I lost, certainly isn't going to be the last. What did I say though that day with Spence, life is full of the unknowns. I am here to celebrate us, and that's what we're going to do." Fitz nodded at the place in front of them where the car had stopped. "This may very well be our last Christmas surprise until next Christmas."
Liv looked out the tinted window, she still couldn't make out what she was looking at or where they were. "What is this place?" Suddenly she heard Noelle's squeaky voice.
"Daddy, look, lights, you love lights." Noelle pointed out the window she was looking at.
"Lex." Fitz took Liv's hand and gripped Noelle in his arms as Lex opened the door to a magnificent display of lights coming from a fountain in front of them.
"Wooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww" Noelle said watching the water squirt in the air as a water movie played behind the squirting beautiful lights. "So pretty." Noelle was pointing to the water go up.
Liv rested her head on the other side of Fitz. "This is amazing."
Fitz pointed towards the building. "Over there, in the corner there is a room with just windows facing the fountain. There's also a light show." Fitz flipped his wrist and looked at his watch, "in about an hour."
"So, we can see everything from the room we will be in." Liv smiled as they walked towards the restaurant.
"Only us." Fitz said proudly. "I had the room rented already before all the nonsense tonight with the developers. It even has its own walkway to the light show and view of the fountain. A PRIVATE view." He looked down at Liv before the host came out.
"Just the three of us." Liv said, reaching up and giving him a kiss on his cheek.
"Four." Noelle held up Kelly. "Kelly here."
"Four" Liv corrected herself and gave Kelly a pat on her head.
"Thank you, mommy." Noelle said as the host came out to greet them.
"Mr. Grant, so wonderful you could join us tonight. Please follow me, and if there is anything you need, I am Sydney and I will be taking care of everything."
Fitz shook his hand as he led the way to the room Fitz had pointed out from the outside. Inside the room the place was filled with Christmas décor. Once they were inside the room Sydney put his arm out for them to see.
'It's all still decorated for the holiday as you requested, sir. Christmas tree with blinking, musical lights, a train with train sounds below the tree, and over there." Sydney pointed to a small table, "are the wrapped gifts as a thank you from all of us at the restaurant."
"A thank you for what?" Liv looked at Fitz.
"He generously took care of the staff here, Ma'am, not necessary, but truly appreciated. We all wanted to give back, so please, enjoy the small gifts on our behalf."
"Ovivia come, look." Noelle was pointing up to the top of the tree. Liv lifted Noelle to be a bit closer as on top of the tree was a unicorn tree topper and blinking rainbow with the lights.
"The light show is set up as requested and will begin promptly at 8. You want to be outside five minutes early." Sydney nodded and left the family to themselves.
Before he turned to Noelle and Liv, Fitz took a deep breath. One more time he gripped the box in his pocket and gave it a pat. He turned towards Liv. Her back was to him, and he couldn't wait. In just under an hour, he was going to ask her to be his wife.
Walking towards them now, he embraced them as they looked up at the blinking unicorn. "So, are you two surprised."
"Oh, yes, daddy, unicorn." She went into his arms pointing up at the unicorn. "Just us."
Fitz bumped his forehead onto Noelle's. "Yes, my girl, just us, as it should be. Daddy loves you more than all the water in the world." They walked over to their table, getting ready to order some food and begin their quiet night together.
Over on the other side of town, Fitz had no idea what was happening at his mansion on Lyford Cay. Right now, he was content with the two people he loved the most in this world. Fitz was anticipating a night of lights, love, and a celebration with his Livvie on the yacht that she would never forget.
"ALL OF YOU, ESPECIALLY YOU." Randolph pointed the gun at Jenkings, "YOU WATCHED AND LET ME FAIL." Tears were streaming from the grown man's eyes and Marcus just sat listening in shock.
"You failed on your own Randolph; you know that. We tried to warn you, you didn't listen." Jenkings went to walk away towards the house, and Randolph fired one shot that hit only the grass.
"DON'T MOVE AGAIN." Randolph warned.
Jenkings turned to Boris. "Before this goes any further, tell Grant the deal is still on, I accept the 35% increase, and as soon as this lunatic stops this bullshit, I'll have my lawyer draw up the paperwork."
"There isn't going to be any deal. I'm not letting Fitz go into any kind of business with such cold hearted people such as yourselves. This man is crying out for help and you're just all about the deal, seriously, what the hell is wrong with you?" Marcus found the courage to get next to Randolph.
"It's who they are, they are heartless, and Fitz could see right through them if he was here. You see it right? I lost everything, every fucking dime, and these men let it happen." Randolph began to cry.
"For God's sake Randolph, knock the shit off. Boris, get Fitz on the phone, I'm not dealing with Marcus anymore." Jenkings demanded. When he saw Boris not making a move for his phone he said, "NOW, do I stutter?"
"Mr. Grant made it clear all decisions were made through Marcus now, no can do. I will not get Fitz on the phone."
Denzel was now next to Randolph trying to reason with him. He was saying how he could get help, find his way back financially, and he made friends that would help him. Denzel was trying desperately to save this man's life.
Randolph was now using the tip of the gun to rub his forehead. "It can't be fixed, it just can't. Too much damage." His finger rested on the trigger, "I have to go."
"Wait, wait, wait." Marcus said holding his hands up. "We can talk to Fitz, work something out to help you man, don't do this, money isn't worth taking your life for."
"The gun, I'm going to jail, regardless. It's just all so, lost. Tell Fitz I've always respected him, admired him, and I hope for nothing but the best for him." Before having second thoughts, his finger squeezed the trigger and Randolph fell backwards into the pool, his body going face down and began to float.
Marcus looked helplessly at Denzel who was covered in splats of Randolph's blood. Denzel gave Marcus a pat on his shoulder. "He was going to do it, regardless, it's not on you."
Marcus felt numb, looked around at all the developers who just went back to talking as if this was an everyday occurrence. Jenkings looked over at him. "Well, now that it's over with Randolph, shall we go with Boris into meeting?" Jenkings looked waiting.
Sirens sounded in the distance and Marcus asked for the home to be cleared out immediately. There would be no deal, the property can sit abandoned. There was no way Marcus was going to let Fitz invest with people like Jenkings.
"I'll speak to Grant in the morning son, we'll clear this up." Jenkings turned to walk out with his entourage of arrogant friends.
Marcus watched as the police arrived and the pool area became a crime scene for the next several hours. He would get in touch with Fitz soon enough, let him have his time away and enjoy Olivia and Noelle.
They had just finished their dinner and Noelle grabbed Kelly and jumped from her chair. She walked over to the tree again, enjoying the blinking lights. She sat down and sat Kelly next to her watching the train go around and around.
"Daddy loves trains and lights." she whispered to Kelly.
"Ovivia loves daddy." She continued to talking to her doll. "I hope Ovivia stays over forever."
Noelle nodded. "Yes, mommy. Soon, mommy." Noelle picked up Kelly and sat her on her lap as they watched the tree, train, and lights together. She gave her doll a kiss on her head and rubbed some hair from her face, just like Ovivia does to her when she's ready to go to sleep.
"You're not upset I changed the plans on tonight are you Livvie?" Fitz reached across the table and locked hands with her.
"Not at all Fitz, it was your decision I would have been fine with it either way. It was Noelle, a bit scared, huh?" Olivia looked over at her and saw her in conversation with Kelly, as she smiled back to Fitz.
"Yeah, that was alarming. I never heard her cry like that."
"You told her to stay close to me or Marcus, maybe she thought what if she couldn't. The thought of not obeying you and being around a room full of strangers could easily frighten her little mind." She watched as Fitz stood up, never letting her hand go.
He pulled her up and gave her a little spin before pulling him to her, kissing her softly on her lips as she faced him. "I could do this every night with you, Livvie. Dinner, dancing, lights, and love all in one. It would be just the three of us when we can close out the world."
Liv rested her head on his shoulder with a tender hug. "I love being so close to you, the smell of you, it's such a comfort. I noticed you haven't touched your phone at all, too."
"I left it in the car. I don't want any part of it. If it falls through, it falls through, if we get it, we get it. It's something I didn't have to begin with so it's not going to bother me. Development and the purchase of property for it can be cutthroat. There are dirty people out there in it for only the money. Trust that no one overseeing that property cares about me. That's why you and her, you'll always be first in my life." He looked at his watch.
"Noelle, come on, almost time for the light show." He watched his daughter jump up with Kelly in her arms. She walked over and took her daddy's hand, hers so small in his. "You look beautiful, Noelle, Olivia did wonderful work on your hair."
Noelle nodded. "Ovivia is a good mommy." She held Kelly up to Olivia so Noelle could take Olivia's hand and they could walk out to watch the light show with Noelle in the middle. Olivia held Kelly in her other arm as they walked out as a family on to the walk that would show a spectacular Christmas light show and then continue over to the fountain show, like the one they saw before coming into the restaurant.
What Olivia and Noelle didn't know was Fitz had this light show customized for his proposal. The lights could form different shapes of objects. This was plan B tonight because he was going to the developers, but if it they didn't show up, it would have been postponed until tomorrow night.
Fitz didn't want to wait another minute longer. Knowing the ring was right there, he needed to ask her, here tonight, and he wanted to take her back to the yacht and make love to her as the boat moved to their next destination.
He opened the door to the night air. It was a warm 80 degree night and Fitz almost forgot it was December. It was only the Christmas décor still surrounding him that made him aware. "Yuck" he said and Noelle gave a giggle.
"What yuck, daddy?" Noelle asked.
He scooped her up into his arms now. "It's too hot to be December here, daddy likes the cold." He kissed his cheek and proceeded to the area where they would have the perfect views of the light show and the fountain.
Liv saw a chair and asked Noelle if Kelly could watch from the chair. Noelle took Kelly from Liv's arms and sat her doll up on the chair. "Mommy said sit here." She kissed her one more time and was ready for the show to begin, being held high in her daddy's arms, as Fitz pulled Liv closer to him with his arm around her waist.
Marcus took a deep breath, sitting in the lounge chair now looking at the once crime scene pool. The coroner had come, took away Randolph's body and the cleaners had come in to get rid of the blood. Denzel took the chair next to him as they both stared at the water.
"He was going to do it at the site. I don't know what changed his mind. I think he though Fitz would be here, maybe try to stop him, I don't know." Denzel shook his head. "I had him down Marcus, we could have prevented it."
Marcus took a long blink and a deep breath in. "I know Denzel, I thought he would scare the fuckers, Jenkings and his goons. I don't know." Marcus tossed his hands up. "Fitz doesn't even have his phone on. I don't know how he is going to react to this."
"Marcus, he was unstable. Even if tonight was prevented, he would have done it. He couldn't take living poor. I don't think Fitz takes the news of losing the deal as hard as he takes a life being lost."
Marcus shook his head in agreement. "If there is one thing Fitz taught me it's life is never guaranteed. He is the first one to say to live because it can all be over in a blink."
"That's why he shuts it down on the weekends. His kid means the world to him. Now that he met Olivia, it's more of a reason to take his time when he wants. He's built this empire, it's not going anywhere. Fitz is no Randolph, he's smarter than that." Denzel stopped and stood up.
"I'm heading inside. It's been a long day. Let me know if you hear from Fitz at all. We leaving together in the morning?"
"Yeah, I'm spending New Years at my mom's. Working the next two days, then I'm off to Virginia for the holiday."
"See you in the morning, kid." Denzel took one last look at the pool and walked into the house.
Marcus put his elbows on his knees and leaned over, staring at the calm water. "I hope whatever you're doing boss, you're happy you chose that tonight. Anything was better than being here. You're right Fitz, greed goes deep. Be with the ones you love, always." Marcus turned out the patio lights and entered the house to get some rest.
Soft, instrumental music began as Liv, Fitz, and Noelle watched the red and green lights illuminate the sky. They went up as the shape of a Christmas tree and a stocking. The music continued playing, instrumental Christmas music and Liv rested her head on Fitz's shoulders just astonished by the brightness of the lights.
The next set were red and silver and tiny hearts were lighting up the sky. Liv's mouth went open in surprise and she said "Aww, Noelle, look, hearts."
"For love." Noelle said. "Daddy loves you."
Liv turned to see Fitz down on one knee, and Noelle leaning on his chest, her hand on the knee that was up. Noelle looked up to the sky and pointed. "Look Ovivia, a ring."
Liv didn't know where to look, because Fitz was in a proposal position, at least she thought he was, and her heart began to beat alarmingly fast. She looked up at the sky and there was an engagement ring formed by the lights.
Astonished, she looked back at Fitz who had a box in his hand, and Noelle looked at Olivia with her glistening blue eyes. "Marry my daddy Ovivia?"
Fitz took a hard swallow, his voice as shaky as Liv had never heard before. "Yeah, Olivia, marry her daddy?" It was the form of a question, and she could hear him choke back the tears as he asked.
The lights now turned to different colors of the rainbow, forming a rainbow as they hit the sky and Noelle ran to the railing to get a closer look as Liv never took her eyes off of Fitz.
"Yes, Fitz, I will marry you. Oh my God, marry? Yes, marry you." Her head shook up and down as he placed the ring her finger and lifted her to the air with a kiss. Liv covered her eyes with her hand as she cried happy tears onto his shoulder.
Noelle ran back. "Ovivia cry?" She hugged her legs. "You marry daddy?"
Liv went eye level with Noelle. "Yes, Noelle, I marry daddy." She gave her a big hug.
"You stay over now."
Liv laughed wiping away her tears and standing up, looking only into Fitz's eyes. Her hand around rubbing his opposite shoulder her other hand holding Noelle's and she pulled him down for a very long, tender, and tongue dancing kiss.
Fitz's hand was cupping Liv's face, his other hand interlocked with hers and Noelle's hand in the middle. He stopped for a moment and said. "You just made me the happiest man on this planet." He continued with the kiss as Noelle said, "look daddy, with a giggle."
The lights spelled the word yes with an exclamation. Both Liv and Fitz heads touching towards the message were smiling. "That would have been awkward had you said no." Fitz picked up Noelle and sat her on his arm in between them as their focus was towards the fountain.
The fountain was a mixture of red and green rhythm squirts with various Christmas movies being played to the behind the water.
They let Noelle run for about a half hour straight after the fountain show. "Fitz, she's going to be exhausted." Liv said.
"Precisely my plan. The yacht takes sail as soon as we get back, and it's love making all night to you, the soon to be Mrs. Grant." His hand rubbed her ass as she fell into another very deep kiss, and her body grew numb with chills. Tonight's love making would be different, she could feel it.
She had said yes to the man who stole her heart and tonight they would begin towards their forever. Liv anticipated and feared what he had in store for her, but she didn't expect she would get much sleep.
As if he was reading her mind, he whispered in Liv's ear. "Don't worry, we can sleep in all day tomorrow. We aren't due to dock until the day after tomorrow."
Before leaving, Sydney took a few pictures of the soon to be family to have as memories. Fitz thanked him for everything, and Sydney nodded in appreciation. "Thank you for the thoughtful gifts also." They were several souvenirs of the restaurant and pictures of the light show to always remember this special occasion.
Back on the yacht, Liv waited in Noelle's room as she finished her bath. Fitz brought her in all dressed in her pajamas, and she was already heavy eyed, as he put her down in the bed. She clutched on to UNI as soon as she hit the pillow and took Olivia's hand.
"Ovivia sparkle." Her thumb turned the ring. "So pretty." She dropped UNI and sat up, hugging Liv so tight. "I love you Ovivia. You mommy now." Her head buried deep into Liv's shoulder as she tried to calm her emotions.
Liv looked up at Fitz, who had a tiny smirk on his face. He blinked and nodded agreeing with Noelle. Liv blinked back her own tears and looked at Noelle. "As long as you're comfortable, I will be mommy now." She gave Noelle a tender kiss on her forehead as the young girl fell onto the pillow, falling fast asleep.
Liv stood off the bed, falling into Fitz's embrace and crying for the emotions she held back. This whole night was so unexpected, yet just perfect.
Fitz carried her cradle style into their room, the boat moving now on to their next destination, and Liv saw the bed and stopped.
Dozens of rose petals were on the bed, spelling the word YES and Fitz placed Liv down unzipping her dress, and licking her back as it became exposed. He was also giving slight nibbles to her skin and he felt the goose bumps over take her. He stopped as she turned and unbuttoned his shirt, kissing her way down his chest, just as he did to her back.
Before he could react though, she took his pants off, boxers and all, and engulfed him into her mouth, feeling his dick expand as she was giving him this unexpected pleasure. "Livvie, fuck." His hand rubbed the back of her neck as he pushed her to take him deeper.
He gave a little push also as her hand rested on his gorgeous ass, he looked down at her in her black lace panties and bra, and he couldn't hold back. His head went back, as he felt himself let go in her mouth. She looked up at him, wiping some off her lips, as he pulled her up and put her back down on the bed, right into the rose petals.
Her bra unclipped from the front and after her breasts were exposed, he put her hands over her head and held them there as he relentlessly sucked on her breasts, one at a time, circling her nipple with his tongue. He felt her growing weak as her breathing was heavy and her head turned.
He kissed his way down, still holding her hands and letting them go as he got to her gorgeous flat stomach. Pulling her panties down slowly he took heavy breaths above her clit and Liv could feel his breath on her and she nearly lost it.
"Fitz, please, taste me, fuck." Her hips went up, trying to meet his mouth, but he just smiled, and crawled back up to her lips. He buried his lips on hers, taking some of her saliva with him as he went back down and without hesitation, his tongue met her entry, and he penetrated in and out. He heard a small shriek come from her, and she covered her mouth, remembering Noelle was sleeping.
She lifted her legs off the bed slightly, as he continued his tongue thrusts into her entry, and she lost all control she had as her body stiffened from the orgasm. She slightly pulled his hair, because this orgasm wasn't stopping, and Fitz didn't let up.
"Fitz, God."
"Livvie, I taste another one" He looked up at her, and she was lost in another orgasm. His rock hard erection ready to take over for his mouth, he crawled up to her as she looked at him, breathing heavily. She was sweating, he was beginning to sweat.
"All fucking night, Livvie, I'm going to do that to you." He whispered in her ear to her earth shattering groan. "Ready for me, I'm taking you raw, as a gift for saying yes. Can I take you raw?"
Liv looked at him, her doe eyes wide with questions. Before he changed his mind, she shook her head in agreement. "This is going to be so good." He took one suck of her breast as he was moving his cock around her juices. "I'm going to fuck the love of my life, raw." Up and down before entering her, his lips met hers as he penetrated her.
The explosion, for Liv, was instant, feeling him raw inside her. He buried his head now in the crook of her neck, thrusting in and out. "God, you feel amazing, fucking amazing." He pounded her harder now, watching her come, and she opened her eyes to him.
"You ok, Livvie."
She rubbed his back, "better than ok." She managed to muster out of her weakening body. Three orgasms in a half hour, she didn't know if she could go all night, but she had no doubt he could.
"Livvie," Fitz continued to thrust. He picked her one leg up from under the knee and heard his balls slap against her. It was such a feeling, and he shook his head to get some excess sweat off, as he came into the love of his life.
He fell onto her, his head resting on her stomach, and she just rummaged through his wet curls rubbing them as they lay there in loving silence. He finally looked up at her. She looked down at him. Liv smiled, that smile he could look at for hours.
"I'm going to be your wife." she said, still rubbing his hair.
"You're going to be my wife." He repeated and moved up to kiss her. "You said yes."
Liv tilted her head. "You didn't think I would say no, did you?"
He took a hard swallow, blinking back tears. He shrugged, "I don't know, I thought maybe it was too fast."
"Hey, you're my Salvatore, right?" She kissed his forehead.
He melted into her with relief, because he knew she was sure of her answer. "And you're my Estelle."
"Liv, we didn't use protection."
"I'm still on control Fitz, it's fine. Even if it's not." She stopped and took a deep breath. "I'm here for the long run, Mister." She looked at the bathroom. "I'm going to shower, a quick one, then on to round two, raw." She smiled. "Coming with me? I mean that both ways."
Fitz smiled. "Go, take a quick shower, I'm going to make a quick phone call." Liv nodded understanding he needed to find out the outcome of tonight. She kissed him softly. "I won't be long."
"Fitz, Jesus, thank God, you called." Marcus answered before the phone did a full ring. He told him everything, detail by detail, about tonight. "The deal is off, Fitz, I'm sorry, I just couldn't…"
"Randolph is dead." Fitz said in a shocked voice.
"Said he respected you, you are a good, genuine guy, and he just…"
"Jenkings really acted like that?"
"Like a fucking douche, Fitz. I couldn't see you going into business with him."
"Smart move, Marcus, thank you. Look, take a few weeks, stay down by your parents ok. Tell Denzel too, a few weeks, you two deserve the break."
"Fitz are you sure?"
'I'm sure, ok. Hey, you're talking to an engaged man now."
"Get the fuck…seriously?"
"I asked her tonight, and she said yes, so…"
"This is great. I'll call you New Year's Eve, sorry about Randolph, Boss, but he wasn't all there, you know."
"I know. Get rested."
Once he hung up, he took a deep breath, looking up. He was heading down Randolph's road one time, but Noelle brought him back to life. He pushed a few buttons and sent a text to Jay.
"She said yes." He hit send.
Two seconds later. "Hope she knows what she's getting into. So happy for you Fitz, truly happy."
"Thanks man, see you soon."
"Sooner than later, kiss Noelle for me."
"Will do."
"Hope you don't get any sleep tonight. He sent a winking emoji."
"Don't plan to." He sent a laughing emoji.
Liv came out of the shower and saw the look on Fitz's face. "What's wrong?" She stopped.
"Randolph killed himself tonight, at the party, fell right into the pool."
"Oh my God, Fitz." She went to him on the bed and he wrapped her in his arms. His hands began rubbing her bare back.
"I love you." She said into his ear. "I love you so much Fitz."
He sat up with her in his arms, hugging her close. She wrapped her arms around him, and he just rocked with her, holding her, as they kissed and hugged for a few minutes.
He rolled her over now, onto her stomach and rubbed her back. Kissing it slowly, he gently said, "ready for round two."
The future Mr. and Mrs. Grant continued to make love through the night. Noelle was in the next room dreaming of her daddy and now her mommy, as one family, and the boat sailing onto the next surprise Fitz had planned to ring in the new year, life was full of surprises, and they were ready to embrace all of them, together.
