"Hey! Hey!" Nejire called.
After classes all of 1-A had come back to the dorms and were now gathered around the dining table pouring over their internship offers.
"Is anyone having trouble deciding?" She asked the gathered students.
When quite a few hands went up in response, she nodded to Izuku. He'd been preparing all his life for this moment. He couldn't help the excited tremble in his hands as he placed the crate on the table with a thud and lifted the lid to reveal hundreds of notebooks neatly packed into the large box.
"If you got an internship offer from a Hero that you're unfamiliar with then ask me or find the notebook with their name on it," Izuku said, trying his best not to come off as big of a nerd as he was.
Mina sidled up to his side and peered into the box before looking up at him with a mischievous side-eye.
"So, is a Hero fanboy, huhhh?" She teased, her pink lips curling upwards.
Izuku leaned back and rubbed the back of his head, ruffling his hair in the process.
"I guess I went a little overboard with that speech…do you think it's a bad Hero name?"
Mina's half smile bloomed as she bumped her hips into him.
"Nah, I think you could name yourself 'All Might Sucks' and everyone would still love you." She paused, her golden eyes, made all the brighter by her black sclera, searched his own while her thick tail seemed to subconsciously wrap around his waist. "Afterall, It's hard not to."
Izuku felt it then, love like the gentle warmth of spring's first sunny day. It was that first taste of sunshine that made you think towards the future, of warmer days and all they entailed.
Before Izuku could think of anything to say back to THAT, Mina uncoiled her tail and sauntered over to her girlfriend, tail and hips swaying. A golden eye peeked over her shoulder to check if he was still watching. She needn't worry.
Izuku looked over at Himiko, who had been walking by on her way to the kitchen and was now watching him. She mouthed 'What was that?' and he mouthed 'Tell you later'.
Izuku tried, and mostly failed, to put the fact that Mina loved him from his mind while he helped his classmates choose internship offers. He was glad to steer Momo away from Uwabami and towards Fat Gum since their Quirks worked similarly even if their fighting styles differed. When he had been expounding on Fat Gum's head on approach, he had accidentally sold Kirishima on choosing him as well. Izuku was honestly surprised at how many people got offers from high ranking heroes, but he supposed it made a kind of sense since there were only two small classes of Hero students and 1-A had recently been in the news due to the USJ. He was just handing Sero a notebook dedicated to Kamui Woods when Mirio walked in through the dorm's front doors.
Mirio came straight to him and handed him a letter.
"Sir Nighteye wanted me to give you this personally!" He said with his usual cheer.
"Hey, TinTin!" Himiko greeted from the kitchen where she was doing the dishes from dinner.
Izuku opened the letter and quickly read it. His brows raised as he read the internship offer from Nighteye. Nighteye was All Might's only sidekick so he would be lying if he said he wasn't ecstatic at the idea of working with him, but why now, after all this time? Nighteye and All Might had a falling out when Toshi refused to retire due to his wounds, and Nighteye vowing not to speak to Toshi until he retired. Toshi had tried to reach out to his old sidekick in an attempt to give Izuku another trainer alongside Gran Torino, but to no avail.
"Thanks…" Izuku said to Mirio, his confusion evident.
Mirio had just begun explaining that Sir Nighteye is a stickler for comedy when the front doors opened again.
Aizawa walked in, a very small boy, with what looked like giant grapes for hair, beside him.
"I'm sure you're all busy, but I wanted to introduce you all to Mineta Minoru," Aizawa said, gesturing to the boy beside him. "He was one of the two non-Hero course students to make it past the first round of the Sports Festival. While you're all at Internships, I will be training and assessing Mineta to see if he could be a good fit for the Hero course."
Izuku and his classmates introduced themselves to Mineta and wished him luck. As introductions carried out, Izuku noticed the way Mineta didn't actually look the women in the eye, his gaze instead roamed their bodies even as they spoke directly to him. He couldn't exactly blame the man, every woman here was beyond attractive. He might have to talk to this Mineta about keeping his ogling a bit more subtle though.
"And these sweethearts," Nejire said, one hand on Eri's shoulder, the other on Yuki's, "are Yuki and Eri, my daughters."
Izuku's heart swelled at how right that sounded.
Mineta's eyes bore a hole into Nejire's chest. "I love MILFS!"
Nejire's face twitched.
Mineta turned his smile to Yuki and Eri.
"I can't WAIT to see what you two look like in ten years!"
The entire room went quiet and still as a corpse.
Eri and Yuki both looked over their shoulders at Nejire, the woman they called Mother, with innocent confusion written plainly across their young faces.
Slow enough that he wouldn't startle even a deer, Izuku got to his feet from where he had been seated on the couch. He and several others in his periphery, he couldn't be sure who since his vision had begun to tunnel, took a glacial step towards Mineta.
Aizawa was subtly attempting to impose himself between Izuku and Mineta, his eyes already glowing red with Erasure.
Nejire clapped once suddenly, the sound like thunder crashing in the quiet of the room.
With a forced smile, Nejire crouched and took her kids' hands in hers.
"Let's go have a chat about what he just said and why it is not ok, not ever."
With that, she took the kids off towards the stairs and away from the silent and still room. As she was about to round the corner she gave one parting sentence.
"Only Guardians."
Mineta laughed a little nervously.
"What?" He asked, looking around for support and finding none.
Aizawa dragged Mineta behind him and held out a hand like was trying to ward off a pack of wolves, eyes still glowing, his capture scarf ready in his non-placating hand.
"Let's all stay rational. I'll deal with this. There's no need to-"
Rumi lunged.
Aizawa was ready for her, his capture scarf wrapping her from head to toe in an instant. Rumi writhed on the ground, powerful muscles bulging like steel cables beneath her tawny skin. The ripping of fabric could soon be heard.
Snarling with effort and fury, Rumi glared at Mineta with death in her red eyes.
"YOU'RE FUCKING DEAD ONCE I'M OUT!"
As he quickly pushed Mineta towards the doors, Aizawa quickly darted his eyes to Izuku, but Izuku hadn't moved. Izuku looked down and clenched a fist, the muscles in his forearm bunching. The passive strength of 1% OFA he had noticed after Cell Activation had evolved was still there despite Aizawa's Quirk. Interesting. Izuku met Aizawa's eyes which were steadily growing uneasy and smiled because he knew something Aizawa didn't.
"Why is everyone so upset?" Mei asked. "I want to see what my babies look like in ten years too!"
"Code Orange," Izuku said simply.
Mei's whole demeanor changed as she pulled out a blue Electrogel ball the size of a tangerine from somewhere and began to circle Aizawa, looking for an opening.
"Please clear the firing range, Aizawa-Sensei." She asked.
"This isn't a firing range, Hatsume," Aizawa snapped as he finally reached the door.
"Not yet," Mei countered.
Vlad King swung open the doors, his arms wide, his smile bright.
"Where's my favorite grandkids!?" He asked excitedly, only for his happy face to grow confused as he took in the scene.
Without even looking, Aizawa shoved Mineta towards Vlad.
"No time to explain, get him to Nezu!"
Vlad, to his credit, didn't hesitate and went right into Hero mode.
"Come on kid!" He said as he guided Mineta outside with haste.
Aizawa snapped his glowing gaze back to Izuku. Something crossed his face. Confusion? Realization? Horror? Izuku wasn't exactly sure since Empathy was being suppressed. Aizawa's eyes searched through the gathered students, his face draining of color when he finally noticed the open window in the kitchen, just above the sink.
Spinning on his heel, Aizawa shouted as he threw another capture scarf.
"Himiko!"
Vlad King exploded into gray sludge to reveal Himiko's too-wide smile and the kitchen knife she was already stabbing downwards.
"C'mon! Just the tip!~"
Mineta squealed in true fear and tripped onto his ass.
The capture scarf wrapped around Himiko's ankle making her trip short, the knife slamming halfway into the dorm's wooden deck, right between Mineta's legs.
Pale faced and screaming now, Mineta scrambled to his feet and ran, a wet spot on his pants, his shoes squelching with every footfall.
Aizawa glowered.
"I'm not defending him, but you can't just attack someone for something they've said, Body Guard License or not. Even if they do deserve it."
"What?" Izuku asked. "We were just trying to scare him a bit. Right guys?"
"Totally! My Electrogel ball definitely wouldn't put someone that small into cardiac arrest!" Mei said, no doubt thinking herself convincing.
Rumi's breath fogged in the air, her chest rising and falling heavily as she tried to calm down.
"Sure," She practically growled as she continued to glare at the dorm's front door like she might still go after Mineta.
Aizawa turned his frown to Himiko, who was now wrapped in a blanket. The gray sludge of her Quirk that had been obscuring her nudity had already evaporated.
"Himiko tried stabbing him," Aizawa argued, sounding like he didn't really believe his own words.
Himiko balked. Her skin rippled, her form changing shape until she'd taken on Toru's appearance.
"If I wanted to stab him~" She cooed, going invisible.
"I would have done this~" She purred from a different spot entirely, her footsteps softer than a cat's.
"Followed him out into the city~" She said from the other side of the room, voice like silk draped over a boxcutter.
"Pulled him into a dark alley~" She said from the stairs now, bloodlust chumming the waters of her emotions.
"Made it look like a mugging gone wrong~" She said, popping into view directly behind Aizawa.
"Good thing I didn't want to!" She chirped as she dropped Toru's form.
Ignoring the lie, Aizawa asked, "And them?" while pointing over Izuku's shoulder. "They don't even have Body Guard Licenses."
Izuku turned to look and saw several things. Most of the class looked outraged, but there were a few exceptions. Tsu was still trying to hold back a fuming Ochako. Momo was red faced as she tried to hide a grenade launcher under a couch cushion. Kyoka's jacks were still poised to strike, her stance wide. Mina was blushing indigo as she tried to block the view of a melted hole in the ground. Toru was holding a chair leg like she didn't know what to do with it now.
"Ummmmmmm, emotional support?" Izuku asked more than said, shrugging his shoulders.
"By the way," Izuku said, finally letting some of the world-ending rage he had bottled cross his face and enter affect his tone. "We'll be pressing charges against Mineta for sexually harassing a child under our care. I'm sure Nejire will be for Yuki as well."
The lights flickered, the TV became static, and Nezu's voice crackled through the surround sound.
"U.A. itself will be pressing charges as well, will never see the inside of a Hero school again."
