Episode - The Bird Scene

It's been a few days since Tori joined their school, she has already performed the bird scene once and failed.

Beck and Jade were chilling at his RV, "I have avoided Tori the whole day!" Beck broke the silence.

"Let me guess, she has been pestering you about the bird scene?" Jade smiled.

"No she has been giving me the puppy dog look whenever we are alone!"

"and that's your weakness!" Jade finished.

Their conversation was broken by a knock on the door, Beck opened the door and was greeted by Tori with a box of pizza. "No!" Beck stated.

"Please, look I even brought you Pizza!" Tori said.

"I can't help you with the bird scene"

"but why ?"

"Because we are not allowed to " Jade interrupted. "And I will take the pizza, thanks" she added.

"I am your girlfriend aren't you supposed to help me?" She pouted.

"Ri even if you are our girlfriend we can't help, you need to figure it out yourself," Jade said,

"Fine, then I won't be talking to you two until I pass the scene" She stomped her foot and went away.

"How long do you think she will take?" Beck asked while Jade just shrugged.

The next time Tori failed she tried everything to get the secret out of others but none of them budged not even Cat. So, Tori made up her mind if Sikowitz wants a bird scene she would give him one like he has never seen.

When Jade noticed the determination in her girlfriend's eyes the next day, she smiled. "I think today we will have a happy Tori again" she whispered to Beck and just like she said Tori passed the bird scene on her third try which was impressive since many took more than five tries, except her of course, the only one to pass in the first try. Beck took two tries, Andre five, Robbie eleven, and Cat, Well she took three tries as well, the first she shouted "What's that supposed to mean?" and ran away, the second time Sikowitz distracted her with candy, so that she doesn't run away, The third time she dressed up like a bird and after completing her performance, Shouted "I passed " before Sikowitz could tell her his verdict and flapped her fake wing running out of the class. So, she indirectly passed the bird scene that day.

That evening Beck and Jade called tori to meet at their usual spot, Tori came there with a sad pout. "You passed the test and also were able to decorate your locker, so why the sad face?" beck asked.

"I am sorry guys I know you two always wanted the best for me I am so sorry for behaving like that!"

"Hey! It's okay, Besides we are even now!" Jade smirked.

"I forgave you for the coffee accident Jade, I knew you were angry with me"

" I still haven't forgiven you two, you ruined my shirt and you dumped coffee on our girlfriend"

both the girls glared at him.

"ok ok don't give those looks, I always keep falling for dangerous women"

Jade smiled as her mind drifted off to the disastrous day Tori joined their school.

Flashback in Jade's POV

Today is the big showcase, I was here only to see Cat perform and also Robbie to some extent. I would have loved to hear Andre too, he is amazing but Trina is another case. There is another reason I am here, an added bonus you may say, mine and Beck's girlfriend Tori will be here and we decided to sneak off in the middle of the show. The last week was horrible we couldn't even meet her because Andre and Trina were always at her house and she was helping them rehearse and neither I nor Beck was happy with the arrangement. We decided to keep our relationship in wrap until all three of us are comfortable enough, to share it with our friends and family.

From where we were seated I could see the Vegas enjoying the dance show, Tori turned back and we made eye contact, her chocolate brown eyes gleamed. I nodded my head to make sure that we would be leaving in a few minutes, she smiled sweetly then turned her head towards the elderly woman behind her and asked her something. I almost laughed as the woman screamed "I don't know you!" and hid below her seat. That's obviously Andre's grandma.

I was looking forward to showing Tori, mine, and Beck's favorite spot in school, but my plans were ruined as Lane escorted Tori and her parents somewhere. I ignored the weird noises coming from backstage, as I anxiously started texting Tori.

"What do you think happened ?" I asked Beck as I waited for a reply from Tori.

"Trina has a huge tongue!" Beck stated.

"What?"

"Andre just texted me that Trina apparently had an allergic reaction and now has a huge tongue"

"So, Tori won't be able to sneak out and Andre won't be able to perform" I knew I would never like that girl.

"What about the understudy can't she perform?" Beck asked.

"Do you think he would be paired up with Trina if there was an understudy?"

"You are right?"

I had no idea why we were still sitting here, it's not like there is anything interesting left, I was just waiting for a text from Tori. Anything, if she was leaving with her family or if she decided to be the bad girl and ditch them for us. I was so much engrossed in glaring at my screen that I didn't notice when the curtains opened again and Andre walked in, not until Beck nudged me.

"I guess they found an antidote to Trina's allergy, let's get out and meet with Tori," Beck said excitedly. I was giddy as well, finally, after a whole week of torture, we will be seeing her. We were about to get out of our seats when I noticed Lane forcing a brunette onto the stage, that was obviously not Trina since I had the unfortunate luck of seeing her horrible taste in fashion this morning. I pulled Beck back and made him sit, gesturing towards the new girl on the stage.

One thing about getting the back row in the auditorium is that you can't clearly see the face of the one performing, but you will be able to recognize who they are if you already know them and I was bewildered knowing who they selected to perform in place of Trina.

Tori stood there looking lost and highly uncomfortable, making me want to kill all those who forced her to be there. Don't get me wrong both me and Beck think she has more than an amazing voice, We have caught her humming to songs a lot of times and also asked her to audition for our school but she refused. She said that she is not good enough to be here and her grandpa has completely different plans for her, she even has to plead with him to have a normal life before getting back and following his footsteps.

She looked at Andre with a raised eyebrow as he assured her, that it's gonna be okay. The little gesture was enough to stir the green monster in me but then Tori's nervous eyes found us for confirmation and I couldn't help ang give her a confident and proud smile telling her that I trust her more than she trusts herself and I know she will rock it out there. I guessed Beck also encouraged her as his hands intertwined mine giving me a soft smile, we focused back on the stage as the spotlight fell on Tori and she began singing in a soft enticing voice capturing the audience. As soon as she hit the high note, it was like the world disappeared around me, she not only managed to rock the stage, she managed to keep the whole crowd on an adrenaline rush with her voice and moves. Once the song finished everyone cheered, Andre jumped over his piano and hugged her and I had to restrain myself from going to the stage, kissing her, and killing him.

I looked at Beck who had a contagious smile up, "I still can't believe she wore a dress and set the stage on fire" yup if you know Tori like us you would know she doesn't like getting dolled up but she doesn't need to get dressed up, since she looks gorgeous in almost anything.

"I knew she had it in her but I want to still kill those people who forced her on stage"

"Babe calm down, everything happens for a good reason you know, maybe now she will know that she is good enough to be at this school"

"You may be right..." I was interrupted midsentence by the opening of the curtain. There was a cluster of people on the stage including Tori, Lane, Trina, Tori's parents, and our Principal.

"Hey!" Andre announced on the mic

"Hey, Andre!" Andre's grandmother shouted.

"This girl doesn't think she is good enough to go to school here, what do you people think?" Andre continued.

Everyone cheered and clapped including us, she made eye contact with us and gleamed as we nodded for her to say yes.

"Okay?" Andre asked.

"Okay!" she beamed and hugged him. The green monster in me stirred again I don't like my girl hugging people she barely knew. They knew each other for a week and even if Andre is her friend, he didn't know that Tori is off limits.

I realized that Tori's wardrobe wasn't good, but she still managed to look good and she didn't have a lot of dresses. She only wore dresses when there was a performance and some of the tops were so basic.
