I can't believe the last chapter is here!

This chapter is much funnier than the previous one and I think it has Aomine's essence, because after watching the anime again I don't think he would be too responsible in a relationship.

This story started in another fanfic of mine called 'The Proposal' so you might need to read it first to understand.

The name of the female character in this story is Aimi Ogata.

The song is 'What You Need' - The Weeknd.

Ps: I'll write a chapter with all the boys together again later, but if you have other ideas, write them in the comments!

Pss: Yes, I love Imayoshi.

Jealousy

(Daiki Aomine)

- So why are we here? - I was surprised that Tetsu was the first to speak, but the others also seemed curious to look at the contents of the box that I was holding so carefully.

- Wait - Kise said - Akashicchi and Murasakibaracchi haven't arrived yet!

- Akashi is busy - Midorima interrupted him, he was checking his phone every five minutes and I wondered if that was his lucky item of the day - he's taking care of a sick friend, and Murasakibara said he wouldn't leave Akita just to meet in your room, Aomine, just tell what you want.

My room felt small when we were all together. It had been years since this happened.

- I've gathered you all here today to talk about something very important.

I finally got their attention, everyone was focused on me.

- Someone needs to inherit my collection of gravure idol magazines.

- What? - Kise was the first to answer, which was a surprise, I didn't imagine him being interested in that kind of thing. - You mean this was the "big urgent matter" that needed us all to gather here?

- I didn't understand those air quotes, but yes.

- I thought it was an intervention - Tetsu said.

- I can't believe I wasted my day to be here! - Midorima was visibly irritated, but I would dare say he always acted like this.

- Unbelievable - said Kise.

- But why? This is a collection I've had for a long time, I don't want to give it away to just anyone.

- I'm not going to touch that - Tetsu continued. He was very funny today.

Suddenly Midorima's cell phone started ringing but he was so startled that didn't answer on time, so he went on despair.

- Botan needs me! - Midorima jumped up from his chair, then pointed at me - You'll never have a girlfriend with your stupid and childish manners, that's why I prefer older women.

- She's only a year older than you, man, calm down.

- It's getting ridiculous, Midorima-kun - Tetsu agreed with Kise.

We all had the same opinion since Midorima had become twice as annoying after his girlfriend had been accepted into an important medical school in Tokyo.

Midorima was enraged, but instead of taking it out on Kise, he took it out on me, who was laughing at the comments.

- The same goes for Imayoshi, so ask Aimi what she thinks.

He left the room slamming the door, leaving an uncomfortable silence behind. Tetsu maintained his usual stoic expression, but Kise was grimacing, as if Midorima had said something mean but very true.

- Well, he has a point - Tetsu said, breaking the silence.

I sighed, laying down on the box of gravure idol magazines that had taken me so long to put together. I still didn't believe I would have to give them away, but it would be necessary to make Aimi happy.

The first time she came into my room I was panicking, but Aimi was so excited to meet my family that I didn't bother cleaning my room. Unlike Satsuki, Aimi wasn't afraid of bugs, so I had caught a cicada to show her and we managed to watch an Allen Iverson game with the Philadelphia 76ers. Aimi was enjoying basketball more every day and even texted me about the results of NBA games.

I didn't let her read the draft of my autobiography, as it wasn't ready yet, but what shocked her most was finding the gravure idol magazines scattered around my room. On her first visit she pretended it didn't bother her, but as she continued to come here I noticed how her mood changed when she came across one.

- You can just throw it in the trash - Kise said. He always found a quick solution to everything, but not always the most reasonable one.

- I'm not going to throw it in the trash!

- Well - he was reading something on his phone - Sanacchi said you're an idiot for having these magazines, especially in front of your girlfriend, and she hopes Aimi leaves you alone forever.

I rolled my eyes. Sana was Kise's girlfriend and she didn't like me very much since I defeated Kise last time. Even now that we were friends again Sana kept an angry expression when she looked at me, but she and Aimi got along well.

- But Aomine-kun, why do you want to get rid of those magazines now after all this time? Did Aimi ask you to do this? - Tetsu asked.

He was really a good observer.

Actually there was something I hadn't told anyone yet.

- She asked for a break.

- What? - Kise replied, then he leaned forward to try to hear better.

We were all sitting on the floor, the box of magazines formed a barricade between us.

I started to thank the heavens that Midorima left early.

- She asked for a break in the relationship.

- SHE ASKED FOR A BREAK? - Kise shouted.

- Shut up! - I said, Kise looked very shocked while Tetsu shook his head.

This whole situation was embarrassing.

- Does Sanacchi know? - Kise started to wonder out loud, then started typing madly on his cell phone - If she knows why didn't she tell me anything?!

- How did this happen? - Tetsu asked. Since we met today he seemed like the only one who actually wanted to help me.

- Do you think he knows, Kurokocchi? - Kise said, completely ignoring the fact that I was present - He was the last one to realize that Momocchi liked you.

- And how should I know that? Satsuki does weird things all the time.

Kise blinked, then turned to Tetsu again.

- See, Kurokocchi? Aominecchi is as dumb as...

He would have been able to finish his sentence if I hadn't thrown a basketball at him.

- Let me tell you how it all happened! - I took a deep breath, it was very strange to tell personal things that way, even to my friends - Aimi and I started dating for real after the Winter Cup...

- Because you were afraid to confess your feelings, I remember that - Tetsu added as he helped Kise sit down again.

- Yes... - I grumbled - Moving on... We started dating with some conditions, firstly that I would be present in her life, that I would not leave her alone again, that we would go out as an common couple…

I dropped the box of magazines, saying that out loud was uncomfortable as hell.

- But of course while I tried to be a good boyfriend Imayoshi didn't give up, he continued to help Aimi by giving math lessons and even made a third year girl recommend Aimi for the cheerleading team.

- Sanacchi said that Aimi likes being a cheerleader - Kise smiled as if an imaginary light bulb had turned on in his head - we even went to her first competition, Momocchi was there too and I think I saw Imayoshi... Oh.

Kise stopped talking, something rare, but he finally realized it.

Everyone Aimi loved was there for her first official cheerleading competition. She invited Sana because she was her new friend and Kise went along, Satsuki was there too, of course, and I don't know how, but Imayoshi managed to show up despite being busy at college.

Everyone was there, everyone except me.

- What were you doing? - Kise asked, his expression was serious for the first time since we started that talk.

- I got confused with the dates - I sighed, I knew there was no excuse for that - and I just slept at home.

Kise looked away, I think he didn't want to say anything bad to me even though I deserved it.

- That was rude, Aomine-kun - Tetsu said - I remember Momoi saying that Aimi was very sad despite being first place.

- I know - I replied, rubbing my neck - anyway, Aimi asked to talk to me after that, and even though I apologized she asked for a break. Now I send texts and she doesn't reply, I try to call and she says she's busy, even when I go to her house her parents said she isn't at home even with me being able to hear the loud music coming from her room.

- She's hurt - Tetsu said - that's all, you should give her time.

Kise pulled out his cell phone again; I guess typing fast was his new skill.

- Sanacchi is saying that that Aimi likes noisy music to think better and that you were an idiot and that you deserve to be alone for the rest of your life.

- Okay, I get it, Sana doesn't like me, stop saying things to her!

- Still, I think getting rid of the magazines is a good start - Kise said, his hair was a little shorter now than the last time we saw each other.

I nodded, they were right. I needed to show Aimi that I was committed to changing and being a better boyfriend.

- But thinking about it - Kise interrupted my thought - I think Aomine Aimi doesn't sound as good as Imayoshi Aimi.

That's when I lost it. I threw another basketball at Kise and went after him. I would make him swallow the gravure idol magazines one by one.

Kise went home after receiving his lesson, leaving me alone with Tetsu. Apparently Satsuki had called, but we hadn't heard because of Kise's complaints, so we got a text saying she'd be stopping by.

- You're really sad, Aomine-kun - Tetsu said after we were silent for twenty minutes. I just didn't feel like talking while he was naturally quiet - Momoi told me you missed two training sessions this week.

- You noticed? - I replied, fighting myself not to be too sarcastic - I know I said I would be a better person and that I would keep my promises to go to training, but I just don't feel like doing anything knowing that I disappointed Aimi.

- But you can't give up at the first adversity - Tetsu sighed, he seemed really worried that I would go back to my old self, the one who was rude to everyone around me - Okay, I'll keep the magazines.

- Do you? - I got up immediately, holding the box as if it held something extremely precious.

- Yes, I will keep them for you, until you are ready to throw them away.

I nodded in gratitude, and then dragged the box across the floor until it reached Tetsu's hands.

- What are you doing? - Satsuki arrived just as Tetsu took the box, so her expression changed from worried to extremely shocked and angry, as she knew what was inside.

It took another twenty minutes for Satsuki to stop her tantrum and hear that Tetsu was actually doing me a favor and that, according to her, I wasn't leading Tetsu down the "bad path", I didn't understand that part.

- I'm not even going to open the box - Tetsu said - it's just a favor for Aomine.

- Do you promise? - Satsuki asked him again. She leaned so close to Tetsu and looked at him with such bright eyes... Seriously, I still didn't see how that was a sign of love.

- I don't need to see girls in magazines.

- Exactly! - Satsuki quickly nodded, then looked at me - Why don't you learn from him, Dai-chan?

- You're in my room, don't lecture me - I grumbled, lying down on the floor again - why are you here?

- I won tickets to spend the weekend at a water park! - Satsuki took three shiny tickets out of her pocket - I already gave two to Aimicchan, she was injured in training so I think it will be good for her to cheer up and for the two of you to reconcile.

- IS AIMI GOING TO A WATER PARK? - I quickly got up and snatched one of the tickets from Satsuki's hands - She didn't let me see any photos of her dressed as a cheerleader after I missed the competition and now I'll have the chance to see her wearing...

I stopped talking after looking at Satsuki and Tetsu's faces.

-You know, I'm almost getting that ticket back, Dai-chan - Satsuki said, a vein in her face throbbed with anger.

Tetsu sighed.

- I think these magazines should really go in the trash.

The water park was an hour and a half from Tokyo, but we could go by train. I tried calling Aimi to ask if she wanted to go with me, Satsuki and Tetsu, but she just texted me back saying she was going by car, which I didn't take as a rejection since she finally answered me, it was a sign of improvement.

- Remember - Satsuki was training me throughout the trip - you will be respectful and sweet, you will not stare at her for too long, even if she is wearing a bathing suit.

- But why not, what if she's wearing a small bikini and...

- You won't stare at her for too long - Satsuki pretended not to hear me - you'll be a perfect boyfriend, Dai-chan.

She sighed, looking tired. Tetsu was sitting next to her holding her hand. I think Satsuki seemed more and more regretful every day that she had encouraged one of her few friends to get involved with me.

- Please don't hurt my friend again, it's hard to make new friends when I have to chase you all the time.

I wish I had said something to cheer Satsuki up, but I wasn't very good at it. I knew she didn't have much time to herself to take care of me, and even wasted those tickets on me. I needed to apologize someday.

The weather was very hot these days and it seemed to get even hotter as we got closer to the park. Satsuki was excited and couldn't stop talking to Tetsu about anything shiny she saw and the giant slides in the park. We hadn't entered yet since I wanted to wait for Aimi at the gate.

When Aimi finally appeared I was ready to put everything Satsuki had taught me into practice, until I saw that she wasn't alone, but being held carefully on Imayoshi's back.

- Let's all stay calm - Tetsu said before I could even do anything. It was actually good, because I had already forgotten he was there, so the scare made me forget for a moment the enormous, bubbling anger I was feeling towards my former team captain now.

- You can put me down now - I heard Aimi say to Imayoshi as they approached the group.

- Aimicchan! - Satsuki ran to welcome Aimi, although I should have done it first - Are you feeling better? How is your foot?

-I'm fine - Aimi replied with a smile, despite her words I realized that she didn't put her left foot completely on the ground - it was just a a mild sprain when I tried to land in a jump, Shoichi was the one who insisted on carrying me.

Aimi rolled her eyes, I didn't know if she was annoyed with Imayoshi or bragging.

- Aren't you going to say hello to her? - Tetsu asked.

I took a deep breath, I hated being here.

- Hello - I cleared my throat - Aimi.

She didn't smile at me, just greeted me with a nod, something done out of politeness. When we first met, Aimi couldn't even look me in the eye without blushing and I felt bad that it changed because of me.

I didn't want to look at Imayoshi, much less say hello to him, but I noticed how attentive he was to my interaction with Aimi and how he tried to hold back the smile at the corner of his mouth.

- Aomine will help you get in - Tetsu suddenly appeared - isn't that right, Aomine-kun?

- Yeah.

I reached out my hand, but without much hope. I didn't expect Aimi to accept my help, but when she did, I felt my legs tremble a little.

Tetsu started to talk something with Imayoshi as we headed towards the park entrance. I've never seen the two of them talking off the court before so I figured he was trying to help me.

- So you asked for two tickets because of him? - I asked. That shouldn't have been my first question, but I asked it anyway because I was an idiot. Imayoshi was distracted and Aimi was walking beside me, leaning on me. I should do better.

- Yes - Aimi replied, she didn't even hesitate. - Shoichi has been helping me with math since last year, I increased my ranking because of him and that's why I can still join a club. It's a thank you gift.

- People at college don't study and stuff... How does he have time to come here?

- I don't know, how come you don't have time to see me?

Aimi stopped walking, we had arrived at the park entrance and Satsuki was explaining something about the rooms we would spend the night. Only now had I noticed that the two were wearing the same clothes, but Satsuki's shirt was pink while Aimi's blue.

- You look pretty - I said. I should have started with that.

Aimi finally smiled, I liked how her brown hair changed color in the sun and how her eyes seemed to blend like honey.

She shook her head as she followed Satsuki alone and I felt Imayoshi's arm around my shoulders.

- I can't believe we're reunited, Aomine.

We waited for the girls to come back after we changed and I tried to look calm as Imayoshi talked about his time at college. Unfortunately he was still in Tokyo, that's why he could see Aimi as much as he wanted, he just needed to "drive a few minutes".

I hated him.

Tetsu was observing my gestures and pinched me every time my expression seemed "too deadly".

- Aren't you the captain of Team Strky now? The one who was humiliated by the Americans and needed our help?

Tetsu pinched me. I deserved it this time.

- It was just a game, Aomine, it's not like we haven't won before.

- Yeah, sure - I turned my attention to the banana milk that Tetsu had bought for me.

It wasn't long until we heard Satsuki's shrill scream calling out to Tetsu. Honestly, if she entered a competition with Murasakibara to see who had the most annoying voice, I think it would end in a tie.

She hugged Tetsu and showed him her pink swimwear.

That's when I realized that if Satsuki was here then Aimi was coming too. I just needed to stay calm. Unlike Satsuki, Aimi was wearing a yellow bikini and yes, I may have choked a little on the banana milk, but I don't think anyone noticed.

She sat between Imayoshi and me and put a hat on her head because of the bright sunlight. Satsuki and Tetsu said I couldn't stare at her too much, but it was not easy.

Tetsu insisted that we go to the waterslide lines and for some reason Imayoshi seemed excited about this.

- I'm not going - Aimi told him when Imayoshi tried to convince her to come along - I'm fine, I swear!

When Imayoshi spoke to Aimi he seemed to transform into another person. He even got down on his knees and changed the way he spoke like a damn fake persona.

If anyone looked at us now, it was as if Imayoshi was Aimi's boyfriend and not me.

We were silent long enough for me to realize that I needed to talk to her to get around the situation, otherwise we wouldn't be able to save what was left.

- You should have told me you hurt your foot - I said - I would have gone to see you.

- I didn't want to worry you - Aimi replied, she didn't seem uncomfortable being alone with me, just upset, like Tetsu said - and it wasn't a big deal, but I learned that being a cheerleader also requires good communication.

- Do you really like doing this, I mean, wasn't it Imayoshi's idea?

- Where did you get that from? - Aimi sighed, her hair covered her back - Akiko, who used to teach me math and was also in the dance club had friends who were cheerleaders and before graduating she asked me if I was interested in a position on the team since I knew how to do jumps.

Aimi looked at me, then reached into her bag and took out a tube of sunscreen. It was quick, but I saw that she still had the frog-shaped plush wallet I had bought for her last year next to Naruto keychains.

- I bet you didn't put on sunscreen again - she put some of the cream on her hand and then gently spread it on my face.

I might have been joking that Aimi's touch made my skin tingle, but I wasn't. I just couldn't say it out loud.

- I'm sorry for missing your competition that day - I decided to speak quickly, as if I were ripping off a bandage - I'm sorry for not being there!

Aimi moved away a little, that's when I realized I had screamed, but then she smiled.

- Do you really like me, Daiki?

- Of course I like it! - that was it, I needed to be honest - I like it when you run away with me to the school roof, I like it when we go out together and when we watch games together, I even like it when you make me watch Naruto even though I don't understand anything...

This time I was the one who couldn't look her in the eye.

- I just had this horrible certainty that you would stay with me no matter how bad I acted, but then Imayoshi didn't give up on you and I feel like you turn to him when you feel like I'm not there and that leaves me so mad...

I couldn't say the word 'jealousy', no, I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't admit I was jealous of a bug.

- I broke the promise I made, but I won't do it again, just please don't let him see you dressed as a cheerleader more often than I do.

I kept my head down, expecting Aimi to curse or hit me, but all I heard was the sound of her laughter.

- Shoichi and I are just friends - Aimi said. I wanted to tell her how beautiful she looked in that bikini, but everything that would come out of my mouth would probably sound rude and inappropriate according to Tetsu - but he's already told me more than once that he's going to wait until I get tired of you... But that hasn't happened yet.

Aimi leaned towards me, kissing the parts of my face that didn't yet have sunscreen on, except my mouth. I had already told her once that she could only kiss me there if we went all the way.

- I think now is a good time to say that I got rid of all those magazines.

- Really? - Aimi said, and the moment she wrapped her arms around my neck I forgot all of Satsuki's good manners lessons.

I was still insecure, but nothing had changed because the only one who still could beat me was me and Aimi would stay with me as I tried to improve.

I think our relationship was back.
