Finding Tantu
-Mid November-
Rip Hunter groaned as he looked at the timeline. "I have tried everything I can think of," he complained. "I can't fix this flux."
"I think it's time we call in all the Legends to plan," Miranda spoke, and Rip gave a nod as he asked Gideon to alert the Legends.
Laurel was first and Ray was next. Ava was next followed by Rose. Zari and Mon – their newest – Legends came last. "What's going on?" Zari asked. "I thought we took care of the Gulf of Mexico."
"Kayla and I were discussing doing Disney again," Mon added. "We want to head back to Hero. Christmas Disney Park."
"Yeah, everything been great since Mon and Zari joined. The two are easily able to get Kayla around," Laurel said giving the two a smile as she said it.
"I still don't get why we can't bring Kayla into the fold," Ray added.
"Adding Kayla would be disastrous," Rose spoke up. "I have seen what that could do to the timeline," her foresight powers did come in handy sometimes.
"No Els," Rip agreed. "It just… not a good idea, but we have a major flux. Christmas Eve."
"It's November," Ray pointed out. "There's time."
"This flux is so big, it needs time to analyze," Rip explained. "On Christmas Eve, Atlantis will release an ocean beast that the land will name the Kraken onto Japan." Gideon started the video of a large creature attacking Japan. "Originally, Kara killed it."
"So, Kayla will now," Mon spoke up, thinking it was that simple and giving a smile at the mention of Kayla.
"The thing is, Kara used both hers and Barrys powers," Miranda added. "Through their full bond – the combined force of a Kryptonian and a speedster."
"The most powerful weapon this Earth has," Rose said with a nod.
"We have ran simulation on many ideas. Kryptonians combining forces, speedsters and Kryptonians combining forces, but nothing matching that one big hit of Kryptonian strength at speeds that only a speedster can hit," Miranda said.
"As it is now the only way this creature gets stopped is the military nuking it," Rip sighed, making all the Legends take a breath in as Gideon now showed a video of the nukes going off. "The consequences to this are not only environmentally devastating, bad for the land moral and fate in the Justice League and could lead to Atlantis winning. The Justice League needs to defeat this." Rip turned to Ava. "Is there anything the DEO has that could help?"
"Nothing that can equal the power of a nuclear weapon or the combined forced of Kara and Barry's powers," Ava said with a shake her head. "Is it possible we can get something invented for it?"
"The only people who could do that in the time we have would be Kara and Barry through STAR Co," Laurel explained. "And we can't tell them about this."
"What about the Totem Bearers?" Ray suddenly, asked making eyes go to him.
"The Totems are powerful," Zari added.
"Not powerful enough," Rip said, shaking his head.
"Not alone, but together," Ray said.
"The Totems can combine their powers," Rose added, nodding at Ray. "They can create a powerful shield."
"Like what we did during Crisis," Ava added, remembering holding the hands in the sky as their Totems made the sky golden to keep back the Crisis energy – memories that had been unlocked through their Kara and Barry being Paragons.
"But they can also create a warrior of great power. Legend says the original Totem Bearers combined together to fight and kill the demon Mallus," Ray explained. "I don't know how true that is…"
"Probably pretty true," Zari added in without further explanation.
"But if they can kill a demon together, why not a Kraken?" Ray asked.
"Gideon?" Rip asked.
"Using relevant historical data and legends, with the known combined power of the Totems we recorded from the Vanishing Point during Crisis and increasing my calculation to add all six working together…" Gideon voiced. "The power will be enough. The six Totem Bearers can destroy the Kraken."
There was a sigh of relief in the room and even Rip gave a smile.
"Hold on a second. There's something wrong," Rose said
"And I think I see what," Laurel spoke, making eyes turn to her. "I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but we need six Totems and six Bearers. We have Amelia Allen the Death Totem; Thea and the Water Totem; Lena Luthor with the Air Totem – no offense Zari," Zari gave a nod, knowing her Totem was an extra on this. "And Mick with his Fire Totem, and of course, Ava with the Earth Totem… but there's no zap tunnel in Japan yet – something we might be able to suggest adding since we are expanding the zap tunnel network, but even without it, we could get these five to Japan in time using speedsters and Kryptonians, the problem is Tantu and the Spirit Totem."
"Her in Africa getting to her roots and finding herself quest," Ray said with a sigh. "It's the same thing that stopped us from saving this world during Crisis. There's no way we can get these five to Japan and find Tantu and get her as well."
"Then the answer is simple," Ava said. "Tantu needs to be in America with the other Bearers."
"How are we going to get her back?" Mon asked.
"Why did she go?" Zari asked turning to Ava.
"I think her grandmother told her she needed to get back to her roots on some type of vision quest," Ava stated.
"Then we need the grandmother to tell her to come back. That she is needed," Zari said.
"I don't think we can make Tantu take a vision quest, let alone control what her grandmother says," Ray pointed out.
"But she doesn't really need to hear her grandmother say it…" Rose spoke, looking at Rip now as Rip suddenly smirked.
"Yes! She just needs to think she hears her grandmother saying it," Rip said smirking at Rose who had obviously seen this potential through her powers.
"Anyone else suddenly lost?" Ava asked.

Barry ran onto the latest scene of the Atlantis attacks; seeing several members of the League already fighting Atlanteans: They were fighting in New Jersey now and attacking an old ship called the Camden which was now a museum.
"The King went inside the ship," Clark told Barry, Clark having been first on scene since Metropolis was so close, after all.
Barry gave a nod and ran passed Thea, who was using her Totem to keep the water at bay and into the ship. King Arthur was there and seemed confused as a family still there was clearly scared.
"You know, I don't get the war, but I do get for a war attacking attack ships, but why attacks a museum?" Barry asked, now holding up brochures for ship which Arthur seemed to grab from him
"This is not a JL ship?" Arthur growled.
"This is old and we don't have any ships. Can we finally talk this out?" Barry asked.
"There will be no talking! Just your death!" Arthur cried, holding up his trident and jumping at Barry, but Barry moved away from it with ease.
"Fastest man on Earth," Barry sighed, and Arthur seemed to decide not to attack him directly again as he jumped into the water below. Soon, all Atlantean solider were also retreating back into the water.
"What happened there?" Kayla asked, now hovering above the boat.
"Seems he doesn't want to attack a museum," Barry chuckled.
"He attacked Coney Island," Clark pointed, out coming up and Barry gave a nod to that. "Well at least this was very mild compared to others."
"I'll head home," Barry said with a sigh, knowing the Justice league wasn't needed here anymore as he ran off.
"He was hardly needed," Kayla chuckled at Clark who had to agree.
"Lets clean up," Clark decided, moving into the ship as he found the family the King had been attacking before.
…
When he entered the Penthouse, the smell hit Barry's noise first. The smell that could only mean one thing – and he was right as he saw a younger Rae who he knew was Beautiful's Earth Rae and his Connor were there. Rae was in the kitchen with several bowls and cooking supplies out with a mass of ingredients over the place. There were a few cookbooks out and about. Connor was sitting with an iPad in front of him.
Kara was in the living area where Alura and Nora were working on their schoolwork. The two had considered putting them in regular school since both had started to understand the no power rules, but the school they wanted to put them in had transferred into a refugee center anyway putting all student on home or virtual. Even private school were transforming to help due to the high number of refugees. They had gotten notice that Star and Romana school would probably be putting the students on virtual in order to host people misplaced by the war with nowhere to go.
Kara turned to smile at Barry as their two daughters continued. "Everything go well?" Kara asked, getting up. Her pregnancy stomach was very visible now.
"Yeah," Barry said, moving over and kissing his wife before he bent to kiss her stomach. Kara chuckled at this. "So, the girls will be happy when they get home from school, but what's going on here?" Barry asked turning to the two other teenagers.
"Dad finally got all the money to me from babysitting," Connor said. "And since Rae helped me get the money I figured she should join in on the reward. A big Disney trip."
"Aren't you there at least once a week?" Barry asked.
"I mean deluxe hotel, dining reservations, the whole shebang," Connor grinned.
"Amelia said she was in before going out," Kara added, and Barry had to laugh knowing that recently Amelia had went on a big multiverse Disney day. She had posted videos and photos in their private Super Family Facebook group – a group they ran and could keep private. Barry had even had Gideon make sure no one, not even Facebook employees, could see what was posted there.
"We're planning on being at Disney all summer in our house there," Barry spoke up. As long as the war was over by then, that was their plan.
"I told them that and that we were planning a trip to Disney Titania," Kara said. "We could put it around their trip."
"Already planning it and adding in Rae's Titania tickets," Connor said. "Lucky she and New Justice Rae share the same fingerprints so she can use the Disney experience account we made for that Rae for Amelia's wedding."
"And what are you cooking?" Barry asked, wanting to know that most of all. Rae had been quiet as she cooked.
"My Earth Disney sells cookbooks for each park and hotels. From beginner to professional. With Connor loving Disney I bought the set and special tools to make them and brought everything here. The Maleficent Dragon mold for the cake is here but I don't have purple food dye," Rae explained.
"Gideon, did you scan the books?" Barry asked.
"I have," Gideon spoke surprising Rae; she hadn't know the AI had scanned her cookbooks and wasn't sure how as she looked around the kitchen. "I have saved the recipes in a special file and sending the store an order for all ingredients young Rae needs which we don't have."
"I'll go pick it up," Barry ran out fast and Alura and Nora giggled.
"No powers," Kara reminded the girls, making them pout.
"Oh Connor, my Kara and Barry do want to officially meet you before we do this trip," Rae said casually, making Connor blink.
"That seems fair," Kara pointed out and Connor had to nod. He had seen them on video chats but hadn't officially been to Beautiful Earth yet. It was his turn to go to Rae's Earth soon.

An older woman looked at the computer screen in her apartment. The email confirmation of the meeting with Barry Allen set up.
"I need to decide on my face," she mumbled to herself as she looked in the mirror – the face she chose now would be important. It would be the face of STAR Studios. "This one simply won't do…" she spoke in a British accent.
She paused as portal opened and a man walked out of it into the room.
"Rip Hunter," the woman said, barely looking at him as she continued to look at her reflection, musing.
"Clotho," Rip said back.
"I go by Charlie now," Charlie said, turning to face him now.
"I am aware," Rip said. "The Time Masters keep an eye on immortals – especially formers Gods."
"Ah we only weaved people's lives," Charlie waved him off at this. "Anyway, you don't need to worry about me Rip-y boy. I'm getting off this rock. Just need to decide on a face." Charlie's elder appearance then changed to blonde hair and blue eyes – looking a lot like Kara Allen herself.
"No," Rip said, and Charlie frowned but nodded and changed again to someone with dark skin and short cropped hair. "Out of curiosity, what did happen to your sisters and the Loom of Fate? We Time Masters couldn't figure it out," Rip added.
Charlie chuckled as she moved over to her dresser, opened a drawer, and tossed out three rings that were split. Charlie having a smirk on yet another new face of hers – another black woman but middle aged with braids. "With the connection between this world and the Sphere of the Gods interrupted, my sisters were no problem to trap in Hell forever. With them out of the way, I found a way to destroy the Loom for good," Charlie explained. "Thankfully the Sphere doesn't seem to care about this world enough to fix the connection completely. You know, magic being dead isn't exactly fact – it's just not accessible as it once was unless you know more about the Sphere. Like me," as she said this, her appearance changed again, this time she copied Rip's face, the Time Master frowning at this.
"Well magic will never be a thing on this world," Rip dismissed looking at the discarded rings. "But I am glad you managed to destroy the Loom."
"And if that was all you can go," Charlie said.
"Not why I am here," Rip said. "Can you… can you wear another face please? This is disconcerting…"
"Spoilsport," Charlie stated as she changed back to middle-aged dark woman. "Well?"
"What do you know about the Totems of Zambezi?" Rip asked..
Charlie had to pause at this one. "They're the most powerful magical objects on this Earth," Charlie said, and Rip gave a nod. "I heard through the grapevine they have all been found and given to true bearers… within the Justice League."
"That is basically true," Rip said, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "And the Totems hold the fate of this world in their hands – and five of the Totem Bearers don't even know it." Charlie seemed to wait for more, not even changing her appearance again. "The future is in a horrible flux surrounding the war. Myself and a new team of Legends have been smoothing out the fluxes but there is a major one coming up that only the Totem Bearers can truly correct. The problem is, one of the Totems Bearers went back to Zambezi. We need her to go back to America without her knowing the reason why."
"And…?" Charlie asked.
"We need her dead grandma to come to her and tell her to go home," Rip said. "And the only way I can think of doing that is with a bit of trickery."
"And a shapeshifter?" Charlie smirked, getting where this was going.
"It's in the best interest of all of us for the war to reach the correct ending," Rip said, opening up a portal near Charlie, indicating for her to go through.
"You tease, Rip," Charlie chuckled, moving through the portal to the Waverider, and pausing at the people gathered within – the rest of the Legends, plus Miranda.
"It's time for you to be a Legend, Charlie," Rip spoke, coming through the portal behind her

Barry had to grin as he watched the young Rae carefully take out her Maleficent Dragon Cake out of the mold and set it down.
"You're really good at all this," Barry said.
"Well Big Me has taken myself and Little Me under her wing," Rae said making Barry, Kara, and Connor all look at each other, confused.
"Can you not use nicknames," Barry asked, now knowing how others felt when he used the colors for his alternates.
"New Justice and Splitsville," Rae said with a laugh. "Do you like the soup? It's from our Dark Kingdom Park. I know you guys don't have one," Rae had made a soup that was black in coloring.
"It's pretty good," Connor said quickly. "I'm looking forward to seeing this Dark Kingdom eventually."
Kara was looking between the two of them, a small smile on her face at their interaction.
"So, what is the deal with you two?" Kara asked making both turn to look at her; Rae stopping what she was doing with the food. "I mean, I get you two enjoy being together and, let's be honest, this has turned into a relationship, but have you thought about the future?"
What are you doing Kara? Barry asked urgently in his head as he picked up Alura, who had ran to him, and put her on his lap.
"Mine!" Alura said, going for a Mickey cookie that Rae had cooling on the table but dropping it when she realized it was still hot and gave Rae a sad look.
Let me, Kara thought to Barry as Rae handed Alura a cooler cookie and then gave one to Nora as well, who ran right up onto the counter for it.
Kara… Barry tried, but she seemed not to want to respond to his questioning.
"I don't know what you mean?" Rae, however, asked and Barry saw the confusion in her eyes. This Rae was a lot more innocent than other Raes sometimes; Barry knew she could be very opinionated and sarcastic as well, unlike other Raes, but she also got confused easier. This could have been due to her not having memories from before her escape from New Daxam.
"I just think it's time to have some discussion about your future. What happens if you two get more serious? Do you want to live together? It was hard for the two of us living in different cities, but different worlds…?" Kara said, remembering the year after college when she lived in National and Barry in Central.
Kara, please, Barry thought. He loved that Raes seemed to keep coming here and having one here for longer was nice.
Shush now, husband, Kara replied back to Barry.
"I… I don't know," Rae said with a shrug at this.
"Will you move here or Connor, are you moving to Beautiful?" Kara persisted.
"My world is home," Rae said, seeming upset at the idea of moving off it permanently.
"I… well…. I was thinking we could have a home on both worlds," Connor spoke, making everyone look at him. "Well, I want to become an animal trainer and work for STAR Co.'s Sanctuary for Extranormal Animals. I was thinking I could live there eventually. Rae could live on Beautiful and become a celebrity chef and on days off we decide what world we'd live on," Connor seemed embarrassed he had put so much thought into this, but Rae leaned over the counter and kissed his reddened cheek.
"So, how about I start on a Disney dinner," Rae said, going for one of the books.
"How about kids?" Kara asked and Barry had to stop himself from groaning.
Kara! Please stop this before I have Alura and Nora slap you, Barry thought, knowing the twins were strong enough to give Kara a slap without hurting their hands.
"I'm not sure I can have kids," Connor said. "CADMUS wasn't really thinking reproduction when they made me. There is a chance… well, Caitlin mentioned it on a checkup once that we should check if…" Connor seemed really embarrassed and Kara was sorry she had brought this up.
"I definitely can't have kids the normal way," Rae interrupted Connor now, turning the attention away from him. "It seems those Daxamites did more than just torture me and experiment on me – they took my eggs, apparently, according to Lena and Lex. They think they wanted to reproduce me with a Daxamite to make a super solider."
Damn, we should have one of the vibes check on New Daxam and make sure there is not a speedster Daxamite super army taking out the meta human rebels, Kara thought to Barry who gave a nod now.
"If I ever want a kid it would have to be the same way Kayla and Caitlin had Danielle," Rae said, taking the cupcakes plate away from Nora, who was going after them and putting some frosting on her nose, making the girl laugh. "But my Kara says I have no motherly instincts."
"I'm not sure about that," Kara said, now giving a small smile. "So, dinner?" Rae gave a smile herself, clearly glad to be off this topic as she started talking about options while an embarrassed Connor was almost as red as the Kryptonian sun now. Barry excused himself to make a phone call to Prime's Vibe.

With introductions made and questions answered, it was time for the Legends to plan with Charlie.
"We need to make her believe it's a vision," Zari was saying. "We should be able to use my Totem and Ava's Totem to help make it look good."
"And I am getting lightning ready," Ray said; Jonas had appeared since and was helping Ray get equipment ready. Mon was helping lift things. "Mon will help with set up as well."
"We're recording my Canary Cry and using different frequencies on it to make it sound mystic," Laurel said, having moved over with Miranda. "Plus, giving Charlie an update on Amaya…" They had brought up a picture of Amaya as a young and old adult, along with sound recordings of her voice. Charlie had been practicing her accent since with Rip and Rose, now looking like the younger Amaya.
"And I have found Tantu," Gideon spoke up.
"Good job Gideon," Rip said. "Clotho, let's hear."
"It's Charlie," Charlie corrected, and Rip gave a smirk and Miranda had to roll her eyes at her husband annoying her.
"Come on," Rip said.
"I am Amaya Tyler, wife to the late Rex Tyler, former member of the Justice Society of America, grandmother to the late Mari McCabe and Tantu Kimi, current bearer of the Spirit Totem. I was killed by C.C and Marilyn Batson and protector of the Totem Plane," Charlie said in a perfect American accent – the same Amaya use to speak in.
"This will work," Zari said, having known her Earth's Amaya when she was young. "I think it's time."
"Gideon, bring us to her," Rip said, having been looking for the perfect location near where Tantu was to do their trick. Gideon moved them near the town and parked in a clearing in the forest. "Ray, Mon, Jonas," Jonas smiled at being included, "go set up the lighting. Laurel, Miranda set up the sound system – we're going to do this when it gets dark and with time differences that's not much time. Ava, Zari be prepared for use of Totems. Rose, you're with Miranda. Let's get this started."
….
With everything set up, Rip was with Charlie near the town. Charlie had since changed her appearance to the older Amaya, before she'd died.
"We need to get her attention," Rip muttered, the two able to see Tantu with Buddy, the latter who was walking away, going to his and Tantu's home by the sound of it. "Zari we could use some wind."
The air picked up and gently hit into Tantu as Buddy went into a house. Tantu was about to follow but turned around at the direction the wind was blowing. Charlie stepped forward, out of the shadows, so Tantu could see her. "Grandma?" Tantu asked.
"It worked. Charlie go towards the clearing," Rip said into coms, disappearing into the forest as Charlie walked backwards herself. "Zari, keep the wind going…" Tantu had gone to follow the woman as the wind blew at her.
"Grandma!" Tantu called, chasing Charlie and Rip smiled; everything was going to plan as Tantu followed Charlie right into the clearing.
The moment she entered the clearing, Ava used her Earth Totem to make vines surround the clearing and cut off Tantu from leaving. Ray cued the lights and they turned on, making the clearing look brighter and more mystical. Laurel and Miranda started the sounds which cut Tantu off completely from the real world. Rose didn't have much to do but look on and keep an eye on the future to make sure everything was going right. If the Legends didn't know better they would believe they were in a vision and not in a clearing in a forest anymore.
"What…?" Tantu asked looking right at 'Amaya' as Zari used the Air Totem to lift 'Amaya' up into the air.
"Nice touch," Rip said in coms. "Charlie, go."
"Tantu, my granddaughter," Charlie spoke. "It's time for you to leave here."
"What?" Tantu asked.
"Time to go home," Charlie said, making Tantu pause. "Go back to your people – to your Justice League."
"You told me I needed to find my roots. Here," Tantu pointed out.
"That journey is done," Charlie said. "You found what you needed. Your League needs you now. Your fellow Totem Bearers need you. The world needs you. Go home."
"Okay, now the tricky part. She needs to disappear," Rip said.
"I got this," Zari said, and the wind picked up around Charlie.
"I got a helping hand," Ray said, and the lights got brighter to the point Tantu had to shield her eyes. Zari then forced Charlie out of the clearing with the Air Totem, and Ava used her Totem to help hide her from view quickly and take down the vines. Ray cut the lights. By the time Tantu could figure out where she was, she was back in the clearing – apparently all alone.
"Grandma…?" Tantu mumbled, looking around.
"Tantu?" A voice called out as Buddy ran into the clearing now. "Where did you go?" He was now holding a baby in his arms.
"We need to go," Tantu said, having been on the ground as she got up. "Come on, grab our things, and get to the airport. Tonight. We need the first plane out."
"What?" Buddy asked.
"We need to go home," Tantu smiled at the little girl in Buddy arms. "Maya, we're going home."
…
"Well, that worked out well," Rip said with a smile once the Legends were all back on the Waverider and into the temporal zone. "And Tantu not being in Africa will not be a big change. Honestly, pretty harmless."
"Since being in Africa, Tantu has barely used her Totem," Gideon filled them in too.
"Probably a good idea she's going home then," Rose voiced at this.
"I guess we can all go home then," Laurel said, wanting to get back to her kids and opening a portal for herself. Ray soon left and all the others started to go.
"Mind opening one for me? I have a big meeting tomorrow," Charlie asked, and Rip frowned now to see Charlie was still wearing Amaya's face, albeit younger and almost identical to Tantu. The only difference was the British accent.
"Why do you look like that?" Rip asked as Miranda opened a portal for Charlie.
"I kind of like this face," Charlie said, entering the portal. Rip opened his mouth to say something but couldn't before it closed.
"I don't know if that's a good thing," Rip said as Miranda and Jonas laughed, and Rip turned to Gideon to check on the timeline with Charlie using young Amaya's face.

Star and Romana were happy to see Rae at home, and very happy with the Disney-inspired dinner – especially the Maleficent dragon cake for dessert. Amelia and Winn were extremely happy with it when they got back as well.
"So," Connor said once dessert was gone; Kara and Barry agreeing to do the dishes, "I hope… well, I hope I didn't freak you out before when I was mentioning my future plans. It was just an idea I thought of… I mean, we can…"
"Connor, I am not afraid of future plans," Rae said to him. "Just let's be flexible and play it by ear."
"Got you," Connor smiled. "But ever think of kids?"
"I don't know. Maybe someday. But I have to get home," Rae said, kissing Connor before running off.
Well, it seems your questioning didn't scare her off, Barry thought to Kara as he looked at Connor, who was smiling after Rae left before taking out his cellphone and sending a text. Connor then called a 'bye' before leaving, himself. Why did you go all serious with the questions though?
Connor formed a small bond with our Rae before she died. It hurt a lot when he lost her, Kara thought back. He's getting close to this Rae. I wanted them to think some things through before they got even more serious. Just in case.
I guess I can get that, Barry thought back.
Now as long as your alternate doesn't scare Connor off with death threats when they meet, we'll be fine, Kara thought, and Barry had to chuckle at that.
"Hum… that's weird," Amelia spoke, looking at her cellphone. "Ava wants to do a Totem training session tomorrow," she shrugged and texted back an okay. "Winn, want to come and train on blowing stuff up well?"
"I have complete control of my powers now," Winn pointed out, holding up his hands and the group had to duck as plates exploded. "…most of the time. I'll clean it up." Winn mumbled the last part as Barry and Kara laughed and went to make sure Romana and Star were doing their homework. Alura and Nora were watching a kid's show before bed.
-Karry Universe-
The next day, all the Totem Bearers, along with Winn, and Crystal were using a training room to train with their powers in Watchtower – the Watchtower Mansion having a nice training area next to the speed lab the speedsters liked to use. Gideon threw out holographic villains and targets at them to fight. They were also all wearing equipment so Gideon could measure stats on their powers and take health readings.
"So?" Ava asked as she and Amelia stepped aside and took a bottle of water. "Did you listen to my podcast?"
"Yeah I did," Amelia said. "And I got to say, you find being a Disney Junkie weird but how many people are obsessed with serial killers?"
"Yes. And you post blogs online of things Disney could do that you really only took the ideas from the multiverse," Ava pointed out.
"Well Disney still needs to add rides to Disney Titania, not to mention their deal with STAR Co. means they get a bigger park on a different planet sometime in the future. Put the ideas out there and you never know," Amelia said and Ava tilted her head. "But it was a very informative podcast on Jack the Ripper. Although why didn't you say his identity?'
"He was never caught," Ava said
"Yes, he was," Amelia said, making Ava stare at her. "Oh. Maybe that was only on my Earth…"
"I never thought of using the multiverse to see if anyone caught them," Ava mused, her eyes lighting up at the possibility.
Before Amelia could comment back there were shouts from the people in the training room with them and the two looked up. All training had stopped, and the place was still. "Gideon, why did you stop the training simulations?" Thea asked putting the hood of her Speedy outfit down.
"I cannot open the door to the training room with training on going," Gideon said.
"Why do you need to open the doors?" Thea asked.
"To let me in," a new voice spoke; the doors to the training room were very quiet the group hadn't even heard Gideon opening it. Standing in the room was Tantu in her Vixen outfit and in her arms, was a baby. "Jesse told me you were all here."
"Tantu!" Amelia, Thea, Ava, and Lena called as one and went to hug the woman they hadn't seen in a while – the last they saw her was right when Crisis was over, but she'd had Vibe Junior open a portal for her fast enough that they hadn't had time to chat. The group hadn't gone looking for her in Africa since. Ava gave a knowing smirk as Mick came up and gave her a welcoming nod back in his own way.
"You missed my wedding," Amelia commented as Winn came to one side of her and Crystal came up to stand besides Ava.
"And who is this?" Lena asked.
"My daughter, Maya," Tantu said, making the group blink. "It's why I jumped right back when I ended up here randomly back in March. Sorry, I didn't stay long. Ever figure that out?"
"Long story. We'll tell you later," Thea said. "How could you not tell us you had a daughter?"
"It's been interesting since I left," Tantu said. "So, you all get along now? Last time I saw you all you were…."
"I locked them in Watchtower," Crystal said. "Until they got along."
"And that worked?" Tantu asked.
"No," all five said together.
"Setting a trap for a serial killer though did make us bond," Amelia voiced and the other four gave a smile. "Oh, but you need to get the tattoo!"
"Tattoo?" Tantu asked and all five lifted their pant leg and showed their ankle tattoo. Tantu noticing the matching design, only a bit different for each Totem. "Huh. I'm in."
-Karry Universe-
Barry was in STAR Labs looking over some of the scientist's work and just running around as the boss. He was doing everything he and Kara normally did solo, with Caitlin taking more work on herself. He knew Kara could do some work, but he preferred to let her have her pregnancy off – especially since watching his alternate on TV was keeping her pregnancy hormones in check.
"Send that off to Little STAR for Ronnie," Barry said to a woman who gave a yes.
"Mr. Allen there is someone here to see you," their front desk security called.
Barry looked up and had to smile. "Tantu!" Barry called. "Jesse sent me a text you were back. What are you doing here?" Finding a League member standing in front of him in the front of STAR Labs weird – this wasn't a private place; he could even see a school tour arriving.
"I think you have me confused with someone else," Barry was shocked by the clear British accent. "I'm Charlie. STAR Studios. We've been talking."
"Oh, yes," Barry said stumbling over himself. "Did you always have… that face?" Barry didn't know how to put this more delicately.
"No," Charlie said honestly. "I decided I liked this though."
"Okay," Barry said with a shrug, not sure how to address this. "Come to my office."
Barry led the woman back to the office he and Kara shared. Barry sitting at his desk as he quickly found out some files.
"Right. So, we put together a list all heroes, villains, and other IPs we own, or our friends own, and we have contracts for only STAR Studios to use," Barry explained, putting the file down on the desk giving it to Charlie. "Included is the current budget of STAR Studios. Once we start making money off the movies we can increase said budget accordingly. There is a layout of STAR Studios and we have outfitted the studios with advance tech including holo-tech, advanced CGI, and special effect equipment – even hovering equipment and the best editing equipment. Plus, robotic tech is big at STAR Gotham, if you need any robots for any film that can be given at a discounted price."
"Where did you get all this advance filming equipment?" Charlie asked, never having heard of some equipment listed in the file.
"We made it," Barry said making Charlie pause. "At Little STAR. When we do something, we're all in."
"I see," Charlie said. "Sounds like a good slogan for the studio."
"I will say we are going to be selling this type of equipment out eventually, too. If we don't, someone else will figure it out and sell it instead. But for a while STAR Studios will have an advantage with this technology," Barry continued. "We are transferring people who know how to use them to STAR Studios to work and train replacements. All you need to do is hire writers. I think some of the writers from the Superman show, and Supergirl and the Flash are looking for new work."
"Thanks for the tip," Charlie said.
"Oh, and we did make one hire," Barry said. "George Dunne. He's a producer and director who has done a lot of superhero movies. He, his wife, and their sons Dougie, Ryan, and Richie are very excited to move to Callisto and begin work. We did hire George to be your second in command. Besides that, the hiring process is completely in your hands."
"I'm sure me and George will get along great," Charlie said, getting this was a nonnegotiable hire and he sounded like someone good to have on board anyway. "Anything else?"
"Oh, I did remember you wanted to do a Wonder Woman movie," Barry said and took out a notebook from the top desk drawer. "This is written by my wife's cousin who got the history from Wonder Woman herself. We figured it might help with an origin story."
"This will," Charlie said, shocked looking it over. "Karen Starr? Nice name. Seems you've got everything in order, though. I'm excited to start work on this. This has been a dream for a very long time."
"We're excited to start as well," Barry said, holding out a hand for Charlie to shake.
-Karry Universe-
"Well seems like Charlie using Amaya's face is not causing any timeline changes," Rip said, pleasantly surprise. "I love it when a Legend mission works out. No timeline changes at all to be had…"
"Well, there is one change," Gideon spoke up making all three Hunters pause.
"What?" Rip asked.
"Connor and Beautiful Rae will have at least one child now," Gideon said.
"At least?" Jonas asked.
"One is definite. More are currently unknown," Gideon said.
"Connor was never supposed to have children and neither was Beautiful Rae," Rip said. "The ramification on both worlds…"
"Actually, it's a positive change," Gideon said. "When Lena is older and decides it's time to pass on the Totem, she passes it onto Connor. When Connor dies Nell's family did not want the Totem. In the original timeline that left the Air Totem's fate unknown, with technical blood bearers but no one wanting it – that broke the Totem's connection. Now Connor will pass the Totem onto his child who will also be powered by the Speed Force like the Totem. The Air Totem becomes even more powerful. It's a positive change for both worlds."
"But…. But…" Rip began, and then music started to play, the song 'Let it Go' from Frozen started in control room.
"Rip, like the song says, let it go. Another El is never a bad thing," Miranda said, putting a hand on her pouting husband's shoulder and kissing his cheek.
"Rachel freaking Garrick," Rip mumbled shaking his head.
"Actually, I think Beautiful Rae is Rachel Allen," Jonas corrected.
"The young Time Master is correct," Gideon said, and Rip rolled his eyes.
"Let's look for more fluxes," Rip muttered.
"We do have to talk about Lian Yu," Gideon voiced, making everyone pause.
Post Chapter Note: Well, Hope you enjoyed! A special shout out to a Facebooker whose theory on a teasing about my last chapter had me include that scene of Atlantis attacking a museum boat.
Next Time on Karry Universe-
Untitled for Now- when Oliver, Laurel, and the rest of Team Canary have to head to Lian Yu again to deal with the New League of Assassins things don't go as plan. Especially with Atlantis War in play and the timeline being in flux. This is a special Karry Universe chapter written by Sigma.
Karry Master OUT!
