A year later
Lincoln learned all he could in the year that followed about both Pokémon and magic and a little about himself
one of those things being he had a big fat crush on ash and that his team was pretty powerful almost all of the evolved except for Munchlax for some reason
Lincoln was now waiting for ash in viridian city
he noticed a crow like pokemon
he grabbed a pokeball and threw it at the pokemon and caught it
"sweet." Lincoln said
Lincoln then felt a few rain drops
"oh that's not good." Lincoln said as he ran to the route leading to pallet town
not too far out he saw a huge electric attack not too far ahead
"why do I have a bad feeling about this." Lincoln said to himself
he ran ahead and saw ash and a Pikachu unconscious
"oh god damn it !" Lincoln said
he began attempting to wake ash and the pikachu up while healing them
after a few minutes the rain cleared up and they woke up
"what happened?" Ash asked
"I was going to ask you the same thing." Lincoln said
"Lincoln?" Ash asked
"yup." Lincoln "so what happened?"
"well i tried to catch a spearow but all of its friends showed up and chased us then Pikachu saved me." Ash explained
"don't do that ever again you had me worried." Lincoln said
"why would that worry you?" Ash asked
Lincoln got flustered for a moment before saying "the truth is i like you not in a friend way but a like like way." Lincoln said dumbing it down for ash due to him not being the sharpest tool In The shed
"you do?" Ash asked
"yes and I was hoping you would go on a date with me!" Lincoln said
"yea! just one question?" Ash asked
"yeah?" Lincoln said
"what's a date?" Ash asked
pikachu facepalmed
"god you're adorable." Lincoln said
suddenly they heard a Pokemon cry
they looked up and saw a huge bird Pokemon flying with a rainbow behind it
"woah." Lincoln said
"I have a feeling our journey is going to be just fine." Ash said
later
after explaining what a date was (with ash being more than happy to go) an explanation to an officer Jenny about why Pikachu wasn't in a pokeball they arrived at the Pokémon centre
ash went to call his mom while Lincoln simply relaxed
"I need a drink." Lincoln said as he opened a small portal
a bunch of tentacles came out of the portal
"god damn it every time." Lincoln said as he closed the portal and reopened it
this time a can of soda came out
"it's always second times the charm." Lincoln said before taking a drink of the soda
suddenly an orange haired girl came in with a charred bike which Lincoln remembered seeing next to ash
(ash please tell me you didn't commit grand theft bike.) Lincoln thought to himself
"I've got you now." The girl said to ash
"alright calm down." Lincoln said
"you stay out of this!" The girl said as she tried to punch Lincoln only for him to catch it catching the girl off guard
"now let's settle this like normal people instead of punching people ok?" Lincoln said "now what's your name?"
"Misty." The girl now known as Misty said
"well Misty I'm Lincoln and this is ash." Lincoln said "now mind telling me what exactly happened?"
"well he took my bike and burnt it to a crisp!" Misty yelled
Lincoln sighed and snapped his fingers causing the bike to be restored
"huh?!" Misty said
"there problem solved!" Lincoln said
"well he still has to do something to repay for what happened!" Misty said
"Misty if I hadn't got there there his pikachu would've been in emergency care." Lincoln said
"it's why I took the bike so I could get there." Ash said
"but then how is it ok?" Misty asked
Lincoln sighed and pointed at her bike and the girl put two and two together
"oh." Misty said "but how-"
suddenly a siren start to ring
"now what?!" Lincoln asked
then over a p.a officer Jenny said
"Your attention, please! Our Viridian City radar systems have detected an aircraft belonging to a gang of Pokémon thieves. If you have a Pokémon in your possession, exercise extreme caution."
"oh that can't be good." Lincoln said
suddenly the top window broke and two pokeballs dropped down sending out an ekans and a koffing
koffing began releasing smoke
"oh no you don't!" Lincoln said "go murkrow!"
Lincoln sent out his murkrow who began to flap his wings blowing the smog away
"way to go!" Lincoln said
"way to go!" Murkrow said in Lincoln's voice
"didn't know it could do that." Lincoln said
"alright who are they?" Ash asked as two people dropped from the roof
"don't be frightened." A woman said
"allow us to introduce ourselves." A man said
"to protect the world from devastation!" The woman said
"to unite all peoples in our nation!" The man said
"to denounce the evils of truth and love!" The woman said
"to extend our reach to the stars above!" The man said
"Jessie!" The woman said
"and James." The man said
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light." Jessie said
"Surrender now or prepare to fight." James said
"Meowth, that's right." Meowth said
(why was that so dumb that it was cool?) Lincoln thought to himself
"why are you here?!" Ash asked
"we're here for the Pokemon!" James said
"you're not getting pikachu!" Ash said
"Pikachu? we're not interested in your pikachu." Jessie said
"we're here for the hidden gems here." James said
"the strongest of strong!" Meowth said
"like I'm going let that happen!" Lincoln said "murkrow use air cutter!"
Murkrow began to flap his wings sending out sharp gusts of wind
"koffing tackle attack!" James said
"ekans use bite!" Jessie said
the two Pokemon shrugged off murkrow's attack and hit him hard
"murkrow return!" Lincoln said return murkrow to his ball "go Munchlax!"
"Pikachu let's help too!" Ash said
"try all you like you can't win!" Jessie said "ekans use wrap!"
"koffing tackle!" James said
ekans tried to wrap around Pikachu only for pikachu to zap it with thunder shock knocking it out with one hit
koffing landed its tackle but it caused Munchlax to spit something out
Jessie was to busy being angry with losing to notice but James did
"an everstone?" James questioned
"what's that?" Meowth asked
"it's a stone that prevents Pokemon from evolving." James said
"wait then that means..." Lincoln said as he turned to Munchlax who began to glow
Munchlax began to grow before eventually becoming a snorlax
"Snorlax!" The newly evolved snorlax said
"alright snorlax! use body slam!" Lincoln said
with terrifying speed snorlax ran forward and slammed his body against koffing knocking it out
"alright chumps my turn." Meowth said
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash said
Pikachu charged electricity before firing the attack sending team rocket flying
"looks like team rocket is blasting off again!" Team rocket yelled
"that was close." Misty said
"not really I could've won that at anytime." Lincoln said
"no you couldn't!" Misty said
as if to prove her wrong Lincoln sent out his gengar
"yes I could've." Lincoln said
"Lincoln was trained by Agatha." Ash said
"Agatha like elite four ghost type specialist Agatha?!" Misty asked
"the very same." Lincoln said before yawning "I'm tired I'm gonna hit the hay."
"same." Ash said
"thank you for your help." Nurse joy said
"not a problem." Lincoln said
the next day
Lincoln and ash got ready to leave for the next town when Misty approached them
"hey Misty what's up?" Ash asked
"I'm coming with until you pay me back!" Misty said
"but I repaired your bike though." Lincoln said
"I know but it wasn't him!" Misty said
"it's fine lincoln the more the merrier!" Ash said
Lincoln simply sighed
"very well then." He said "feel free to come with."
Lincoln took a couple steps before saying "you're not afraid of bugs are you?"
"why would you ask that?" Misty said seemingly slightly unnerved
"what? it's a completely unrelated question you never know until it's too late." Lincoln said
and that's that
now we are jumping a lot of episodes to the ghost of maidens peak
why? Simple this version of Lincoln doesn't want to do gym challenges all he wants to do is do his job of protecting ash
and while the S.s Anne is a pretty dangerous situation Lincoln has a teleport basically stopping the whole under the ocean thing from happening
