One World: Many Souls

Chapter 19: A Liberator

Angel's Point of View:

"Where is she?!"

My screams were only met by more as the entire house was turned upside down in our rapid hunt for my sister who had gone missing while I'd rushed out to check on the three babies in the house. I didn't know what was honestly going on besides her either hiding her problems or just getting huffy with me, but I didn't have time to deal with it.

I should have made time. She was gone…

"Fuck!" Sans swore while he raced to check the downstairs a third time. "She ain't here Angel! I'm callin' everyone ta get a hand with searchin' the city!"

"I-I will stay with the little ones!" Papyrus cried as he rushed toward the stairs. "Go Sister! Brother! Get help and find Frisk!"

It was all the last-minute encouragement that I needed before taking off out the door. In hardly minutes I could see our yard filled with cars of friends who were there to help with the search. Frisk didn't look good the last time I saw her, and Alphys noted often about how her health was declining. We needed to find her and fast before something terrible happened.

"Angel!" Toriel came up to me quickly with Asgore at her side. "We cannot find our son either! We cannot reach Asriel!"

"Then we have no time to lose! Everyone, begin the search!" I started to shout out orders to the monsters and humans who stood around me. "Search every corner of this city and leave no area unturned! Sans, Tori, Asgore, Alphys, Undyne, you're with me. I have an idea of where to check first."

"My child, where?!"

My eyes matched hers with an equal and unyielding fury. "Luke Madden's place."

Frisk's Point of View:

The second that Luke was hit so soundly by Asriel I could feel almost like a vice grip on my soul shatter and release me. I sucked in the largest breath I think I'd ever had and began to move my body free of Luke's control. I was weak still, and struggled to stand without the help of the goon beside me.

With control back, my heel flew down on the asshole that held me. He screeched and I rushed forward.

"Asriel!"

My cry was loud, deafening as I flew into his arms. I actually fell into them as I lost my footing. My friend held me while I sobbed into his shirt.

"I'm back! Oh my god, I'm back! I can talk! I'm in control again!"

"I knew it…" My friend I barely could hear muttering against me. "You were controlling her the entire time. I knew Frisk would never abandon her family and friends."

"Not like it matters anymore." I dared to turn my head to see Luke get up, but he wasn't the same man I'd seen all these years. He was not beautifully perfect like I thought he looked. Sculpted features were quite disfigured and covered in thick acne. His teeth were missing in many spots, though he still had that athletic build he put out. The nasty scowl on his face morphed into a smile. "She's mine. Forever."

"Like hell." With a glance back to my frightened face, I saw Asriel give me a smile. "Hold on tight to me, okay?"

I nodded and buried my face into his neck. I struggled, but lifted my legs to wrap around his waist so he could move freely.

"I'm now part of the Terians' family now and forever!" Luke shouted over the piercing silence. "Ain't nothing you can do about it, you filthy monster!"

"Get the hell out of here you fucking beast!"

"Go back to hell under the mountain where you belong!"

I never knew just how cruel people could be, their words so piercing. This was what hand Angel so worried in the past. This kind of cruelty as the humans and monsters merged together into the same world. Discrimination, humility…

What was wrong with these people?

"Why would I do that when I can take you assholes with me?" I could almost hear the cackle in Asriel's voice. I struggled so hard not to think of when he was Flowey, the soulless monster who tried to kill us.

I could feel the warmth from Asriel as his magic was activated. Balls of fire flew from his hand and landed around him in a circle. The boys cried out in their disbelief and fear as one by one the fires left us and caught onto Luke's items in his room. The hazy memories I had with him far clearer as the moments ticked by and the fires brought everything to light.

I couldn't resist silently crying as I held onto Asriel with every bit of my remaining strength.

"What the fuck is wrong with you, you crazy goat man!?"

"I'm not a goat man, my name is Asriel Dreemur! Prince of the monster kingdom! You would do well to remember who the fuck you pissed off."

The growling I heard from his throat was unreal. I'd never heard him so nasty in the few years I'd known him since Angel gave him a soul. I guess in a way he thought he owed his life to us for saving him back then. But never did I expect him to be… like this…

"Stay away from my friend!"

Fire balls were shot around further into the room, it filled with smoke and the boys all ran. Asriel never seemed to hit them other than Luke, who was caught in his side by a lose one before hitting his hammock bed. The male was still able to pick himself up before running out after his cronies.

Silently Asriel walked out of that room. He jumped down to the first floor and calmly walked us out of the house while we waited for others to arrive. Luke and his goons were long gone by the time we got outside. It was quiet, other than the burning of the home behind us.

Asriel sat down, but he didn't pull me off of him. He allowed me to sink into his warmth and hold him tightly. I cried into him; I couldn't hold back the sobs.

"It's okay, Frisk. You're free."

"Y-you saved me…"

"Of course, I did. I saw you fall on the pavement before they grabbed you. I'm just… sorry I didn't act sooner…"

"Don't be… I pushed everyone away… I thought… no one would come for me. I hurt everyone… I destroyed all my relationships…"

"It wasn't your fault. And I'll help explain it to them so you can start over." He pulled back my face just enough so I could look into those ruby red eyes of his. Sharper than his mother's, softer than his father's. It was a beautiful blend of Tori and Asgore that he became.

"Y-you'll make a good king one day."

"Thanks. But… I hope I have a good few more years before I have to take that over…" He sighed, pulling me back to him. "I have a fuck ton more studying to do…"

He had me laughing. Laughing through the tears as I hugged him tightly. I worried that maybe I was chocking him. But he was laughing too. Both of us sat there together on the sidewalk before emergency vehicles showed up along with my sister in the crowd.

"FRISK!"

"Angel!"

My sister landed before us while firetrucks were racing to put out the fire that Asriel caused. Behind her was Sans, Tori, Asgore, Alphys and Undyne who all came rushing over. My sister hardly had a moment to say any words before I used what was left of my strength to jump into her arms, latching onto her.

"I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry! He was controlling me! I'm so, so sorry for the way I treated you and anyone else! I couldn't say anything I wanted! I only figured it out a short while ago!"

"Slow down Frisk," Though I could feel the hand on my head as she tried to sooth me. "I'm so glad you're okay. We're going to get you medical attention."
"Wait! But you have to deal with Luke!"

"Oh, don't you worry about him. The entire region under the Terians household is searching for that bastard." I saw her turn toward the burning house before it turned to my savior. "I'm assuming this was you're doing?"

Asriel shrugged. "Self-defense. Had to keep Frisk safe once I found her. Didn't intend to set the house on fire."

"Good. I owe you."

"But he does have something that I think is going to be concerning, if I can tell you about it?"

That caused Angel to frown. "Let's get Frisk to the hospital so she can rest and then you can explain to me entirely what's going on."

"Yes ma'am."

Angel's Point of View:

It was a few hours later when Frisk had finally fallen asleep with her and Asriel recalling what had taken place that evening. Luke had been controlling Frisk since the very first time he met her. It seemed like an elaborate ploy in order to gain access to the wealth and status of being part of a household.

From what had been told to me, Frisk was forced to sign a marriage certificate that also had Sans' signature on it. It must have been gained from the college. Perhaps the older brother had snagged it for him. It was only a guess without proof, but there was no way my husband would do something so dumb. It also looked like it was forged, so there was a lot of legal issues that would be dealt with soon.

Luke's family were being called in, no matter where they were for work. His brother was also dragged in for questioning, currently being held in the detention center a few miles down into the main town. It would be a very nasty battle once I got the entire family together to discuss the issues at hand.

He tried to force my sister to marry him. Thankfully, it's not valid. In order of the marriage to be legal, Frisk had to be of age to marry (which she damn well wasn't, thank goodness) and the certificate had to be witnessed by the head of house. It needed my signature to be a true legal document. Sans' fake one didn't even count, so those boys didn't even read the laws of the house right.

My god, how stupid were they?

Frisk was sleeping when I checked on her again for perhaps the twentieth time. I couldn't help but keep my eyes on her after all that had happened. Sans stood in the doorway with me while I kept my gaze over her tired body. One that had been used just as badly when Sans was kidnapped.

I nearly lost her too…

"Easy, Precious." Sans was there in an instant to try and calm me down. "She's safe now. She's gonna need a hellava time to recover, but she's gonna get better now."

"While I know that, I hate that it got this bad. I hate that we failed so many times."

"Yeah, well, with those recent scans that Alphys did, turns out that brat was able ta turn off his magic at just the right time ta avoid detection. We got proof of it now through that device we left attached ta Frisk's necklace that idiot gave 'er."

"And that fake marriage certificate that Asriel was able to swipe before the building was burned down." I sighed as the evidence continued to pile up. "This is going to be a very cut and dry hearing that we'll be going to Darling. Are you ready for it?"

"Hell yeah, m'little sister ain't no one gonna hurt without consequence. This asshole n' those attached ta him are gonna get their justice."

"Excuse me?" Sans and I halted our conversation to turn to Enya, who stood in the doorway away from where Frisk rested. "Mistress Angel, Master Sans, a word please?"

Sans sighed. "Still ain't used ta that."
"Hush Darling."

Being led back out into the hallway and closing the door to Frisk's room, we were the only ones still there besides Alphys and Grandmother. Both of them sat just outside of Frisk's door speaking together, but paused when they saw Enya approach.

"My apologies for bothering you during your sister's recovery, however, Lucas Madden has been captured along with four fellow conspirators." Enya sighed though before pulling out her smart phone. "Though I do have to apologize, they were able to post this video before their capture. It does not show Frisk in good lighting."

I gave a few moments to look at Enya before taking the phone from her to watch. She showed me quickly to play the video before I saw the boys gathering around Frisk and Luke suddenly demanding marriage from her. It was easy to see how she struggled to find her answers. He was forcing the conversation in his direction right before Asriel came in and punched him and the video ended.

"Keep that video as evidence, we'll need that for the proceedings."

"Yes Mistress."

"And Enya?"

"Yes?"

"I want the entire butler staff here to protect Frisk in case someone of his group escaped and tries to come after her. No one that hasn't been prior approved will be even allowed on this floor. Am I clear?"

"Crystal, Mistress."

"Good, get to it. I have other piles of trash to burn."

With fury settling in our souls, I finally left with a stronger anger then before fueling me to get justice for my poor sister who had suffered during the last two years.

Witch's Note:

Oh, my goodness! What a chapter! And my oh my! Lots of reviews with lots of thoughts and comments to mention about. I was expecting a turn out but not this much! Thank you everyone!

Mystic Girl: Hahahaha! Look how my army has grown! We're gonna ruin him! Look at all the people on my side!

Me: Yes, yes, I'm aware that the people love and have merged together for their hatred of Luke, love of seeing Asriel come back, and all wanting to save Frisk! So without letting this go on any longer, we've got reviews to answer! You think you can stand around for a few before I send you on your way? I'm almost done with that paperwork, and the sooner you help me finish up my work, the sooner you get it. I think… it might be as soon as next chapter!

Mystic Girl: (She runs over and near shakes my shoulders while I'm trying to type at the screen.) Let's go woman! Start typing! Me and the others are ready for him!

Me: Then let's do this! Review time!

Thechaosmaster: Oh my! Staring your own villain arc to take care of this lovely asshole Chaos? (I giggle) Its really wonderful to see how you all immediately jumped off that theoretical fence I made. Well, perhaps I should say 'dive bombed' instead?

Mystic Girl: That's my second in command! We've got work to do! I see you have everything at the ready, and we'll be getting him soon! (She laughs evilly in the background as she hovers over my shoulder.) We have so many projects to try on him!

Me: As long as they're after he leaves my custody, your good to do whatever your dark fantasy desires.

Mystic Girl: Yes!

Dasansi: Oh, this is great! I love it when you do guessing, probing and the like!

Mystic Girl: And I get a new member of my army! Get over here guys! We got weapons for you and armor. Need you to be plenty stocked!

Me: Perfect, you do that Mystic and I'll finish this off. Anyway, you also noted some guesses in your review about the paperwork, which I hope you'll be happy to see thankfully isn't legal since it's a poor copy of Sans' name when it needed to be Angel's. But now it sounds like we're going to court! Hell yeah! Here we go! Let's go see it all go down…

Besides, who's gonna be the judge?

MysticBoywastaken: Here we go Mystic Boy! Down with the jerk! Asriel got her!

But now… we have a long road to recovery…

Shadow Phantom: I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable Shadow, but I really wanted to show the degradation of what Luke had done with the slow possession of Frisk. But I'm really glad you liked it! You think I should do one shot like that? Hm… I'll have to think about that…

Mystic Girl: (She raises an eye brow from the mountain of papers she's trying to rush through to get Luke faster.) Don't you dare try to pull that Halloween, you've already started a project like that. I won't spoil it, cuz you'll get mad, but that's kinda mean to tease them.

Me: (I raise an eye brow) I never said anything about that story before, so who here is doing the teasing?

Mystic Girl: Opps?

unfortunatelyriverwastaken: Hey there River! I see you being on the creative side this time around with describing Luke soon to be fate! Hey, no reason to apologize, I honestly had no problems with it and no one reported your review.

Um… as far as I'm aware, once it's posted you can't change it, but it doesn't really bother me all that much. You're just using an outlet and it's portrayed toward a fictional character and not a real person. All this appears to be is expression. Besides, like I said before, I kinda gave you all a dive bomb of the true side of Luke before you all dropped off the carefully crafted fence I made for MONTHS. Which wasn't easy…

You wanna join Mystic Girl's army? I think she still has some last minute sign ups left especially to get in on the action with Luke once he's released!

Mystic Girl: (She's over in the corner rushing through her paperwork while she manages to hurl one toward me to hand to you.)

Me: Here you go!

Not A Shady Guy: Shady! Its so good to see exams are over! Is that it? Do you graduate? Or is there a few years left to go? Its been so long since I've been in school… oh my goodness… like… I graduated college in 2016… oh my God…

But back to the chapter and some of your questions. For time placement and ages, Frisk would be just shy of her seventeenth birthday that takes place in June. It's currently earlier that spring and she's sixteen. She and Luke have known each other since she met him in school after she left the underground when she was fourteen. So it's almost been three years since they met. The mind control has been going on that long…

Yeah… it's that bad…

Oh, and you're relinquishing the right to help him? Or even try? Wow… I wrote a hell of a character to get you to say that Shady… I don't know whether to feel astonished or proud…

Alright! Reviews are done and now we only have to wait another week before I post something rather special for you all! (I giggle behind my hand) Oh I can't wait for the next chapter, but you all have a rather big clue that I'm not afraid to talk about!

We're all going to court everyone. Get dressed, get your notes, and let's get to it!

Mystic Girl: As for my group, get your weapons ready, and meet me outside the court house. As soon as that trial is over, we are going to war! I won't excuse any tardiness. Signed by your captain.

Love you all and see you next week!
