One World: Many Souls

Chapter 25: Missed Diagnosis

Angel's Point of View:

"Well, I'm glad that things are going well for you." I couldn't help but smile at my sister while we sat in my kitchen, sharing a lovely breakfast between each other. She was home for the weekend of my, her niece and nephew's birthday. It was just before others would show up for the party that they planned to have for the kids and myself.

Frisk sat across from me while she herself held onto my daughter for dear life. Arial was a wild toddler who wiggled plenty, playing with the few toys we had for her at the table while we tried to eat and chat. Like always, my daughter had too much energy for her own good. She eagerly kept bouncing in her aunt's lap while Frisk tried to hold her down and chat with me.

"Gee Mama! Iss!"

I couldn't help but smile as my little one was getting smarter by the day. While she couldn't say much for words yet, she could say mama, dada, Iss, and papa. I would never expect my daughter yet to be able to say Frisk or Papyrus' names, but she tried very hard.

She was a bit better than her quiet brother in that regard who barely talked…

"Now, now Arial. Be nice for your aunt."

"She's fine Sis. I got her." Frisk adjusted my daughter on her lap to make sure she wouldn't fall. Just moving the little girl just a bit reminded her that she had toys on the table. And food. Her hands quickly reached out to the plate of scrambled eggs with cheese on them as she grabbed a handful. She popped the pieces into her mouth to eat, gleeful at the taste. "Geeze, I didn't think she'd take after me being a foodie."

"Both she and Eras are foodies. My son just is a lot quieter about it then his sister." I giggled lightly at my little ones. It was their second birthday and they were both having the time of their life. Eras was napping actually in my own lap, entirely content and not bothered at all by the noise his sister was making.

"He always has been. I don't think I've ever heard him utter a peep…"

"Oh, he does, just very rarely."

The two of us laughed while I reached over to have a bite of my own breakfast as well. It was simple eggs on toast that morning since Papyrus was making us a large spread in so many hours' time. We had to try and keep our food intake low so we could make up for it later.

Granted, I wasn't too hungry at the time. I felt a tad queasy that morning. I assumed it was from me eating too soon. I had slept in that morning. It was eight when the two of us started our little munching and chatting time.

"Hey, so what time are Undyne and Alphys getting here?" Frisk couldn't hold back the squeal as she bounced my daughter in her lap. "I can't wait to meet Zakhar! Hey! Let me see that picture again, please?"

I rolled my eyes at her. "Like you need to ask."

Easily did I pull out my phone and with the help of my sister, we pulled out the photo of Undyne and Alphys' son. Zakhar von Undying was the boy's full name and one look at him you could easily see it was Undyne's son, but with many features of Alphys. The picture showed the little one that had just been sent to me a week ago. The little infant was hardly two months old, but was like a mini Undyne. He shared her same scale like skin, the fins that sprouted out from where ears would go. Even a small few whisps of red hair sprouted from his head that slowly was growing thicker by the day. He'd barely opened his eyes yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were golden like Undyne's.

However, one thing that I wasn't counting on was the neon yellow color of his scale like skin. He seemed to inherit the very coloring of Alphys rather than Undyne. And another thing that became noticeable was the very thick and noticeable freckles that were all over his face and even his chest area. It was a feature we assumed was from Alphys as well since she herself had incredibly small and barely noticeable ones herself. The ones on her own scales were much more similar to her own yellow coloring, but her son's were so stark in comparison. A dark mustard yellow, though leaning toward a browner shade, was peppered all over his skin, as if he'd been splattered with my paint brushes.

"Oh whoa!" Frisk's jaw dropped as she saw the picture where his features were more prominent. Though his eyes were closed at the time, Alphys had noticed that they were a very faded grey for the time being. It would be more around six months or longer before we'd see what color they would be. "He's such a unique mix of them both! That's amazing!"

"Isn't it?" I smiled at her before scrolling through the photos before journeying back to the wedding day for the two ladies. I found the picture easily enough. At the castle of Asgore's family and ancestors did the two of them marry under the glow of the sun, surrounded by the flora of the spring. Alphys was in a lovely bridal gown that showed off her shoulders and glittered in the light. She'd had flowers decorated into the veil she wore. She's looked so lovely and dainty compared to the rough and formal appearance of Undyne.

Alphys' loving wife was dressed in her royal guardsman armor. Granted, it was the fancier of the armors. It was always believed that the guard should be prepared for everything, even during a lovely event as that. It was a tradition in which Undyne's parents had partaken in. Undyne's father, Urvan, had dressed in his own fancy armor to his wedding day. Undyne's armor on that day was a glittering silver to match her wife's stunning outfit with black and blue cloth accents both in cape and fabric between the metal places. It would still help her in a pinch, but mostly it was just for that special day. Or other special events.

The two of them looked so utterly happy that day with the cherry blossoms fluttering about them. They wanted to make sure to celebrated during the time when flowers were at the peak of bloom. And Alphys being a scientist who understood that stuff more then the average person knew exactly when that would be.

"I believe they should be showing up around noon. Undyne wanted to make sure Alphys had a good nap before they came over. Its their first kid, so their learning just how tiring it can be."

"It looks like it. I know it was when Arial and Eras were first born. You were always tired until a few months in."

"If you have children yourself one day Frisk, you'll understand. In the first few months, its feedings and changings every couple of hours." I remembered back to those days with both exhaustion and fond memories.

My sister gave me a sideways glance. "Are you planning on having more kids, Sis?"

"Well… Sans and I have talked about it and I wouldn't mind another. We're also not actively trying all that much. However, I'm not on any form of birth control. Its possible it could happen, but Arial and Eras keep us plenty busy as it is."

It was as I said his name that Eras opened up his large eyes at me. Just like my own, he had a lovely strawberry coloring. His eyes went wide when he looked at me and then, Eras did the unthinkable.

He started crying.

Eras hardly cried, that was much more of an action of his sister. But there he was, fussing up a storm and squirming in my arms. I was so startled by it that I wasn't sure what to do. And that was when his twin sister followed suit. Both children crying at the same time before we heard Impact echoing as well throughout the house. I could barely hear Papyrus trying to calm his little one.

"What the-" Frisk was just as flabbergasted as myself before she took one look at me. Her eyes widened before she held Arial with one arm and reached for Eras. "Sis, give me Eras."

"What?" Too confused by this all, my hold on my son was stronger than before. "Frisk, what in the world are you talking about?"

"Give him to me Sis! You're turning pale!"

"…Pale?"

My brain could hardly fathom what it was she was trying to tell me all before a twisting knot twirled in my gut. It nearly had me knocked over, while simultaneously almost thrusting my son at my sister. She took the two babes in her arms while I flew from my chair and landed in the downstairs bathroom, puking up the few bites of breakfast I'd managed to get down.

In the background I could barely heard my sister calling for someone to help amongst the cries of the children. Thundering footsteps and magic pulsed in the house at the chaos. My head was too deep into the toilet to think much else other then to calm my stomach.

Then I barely registered the fact that my hair was being pulled back.

"Easy, Precious." Sans' voice was low. One hand held my hair while the other rubbed my back. Slowly the pulsating pain in my abdomen slowed itself and stopped. I was able to lift my head and reached for toilet paper to gather any extra bits that perhaps were in my mouth. As I stood, a glass of water was handed to me to wash out the rest and get fluids into me.

Sans was quick to set me down on the lid of the porcelain throne while I caught my breath. "Talk ta me, Precious."

"I don't… I don't know…" I slowly lifted my head while taking sips and the ugly feeling I had was slowly going away so rapidly, it honestly surprised me. "Eras was my first clue. He cried out and then the other little ones cried too. Then Frisk said I was pale and to give him to her. Then it… hit me. I feel better now… like it was just a quick little bug…"

A boney brow was raised at that. "Precious… that don't sound like a little bug. In fact-"

My husband cut himself off to look below the counter top to find something below. He dug between cleaning supplies and rags before pulling out a box and checking it over. Whatever he was looking at seemed to satisfy him. Then he set the object out before me.

Pregnancy tests.

"Maybe ya should try one, Angel?" Sans suggested as I saw the box. It had been opened. It was a newer one. While we weren't actively trying, I just would take one every so often just in case. If Sans thought that this was morning sickness I just had…

"Okay…"

"I'll give ya a minute."

Sans gave me privacy while I slowly looked at the box. We only bought it a short while ago, perhaps six months? I hadn't felt well around that time too, or I should more say I was very exhausted and tired, like my first pregnancy with the twins. But that time had been negative.

Was this time going to be any different?

I'd always wanted a big family. Though I technically already had it, more children at the time didn't oppose me. Unlike my mother who struggled with conception, I didn't see to have that problem as much. It had always been her dream to have many children and even grandchildren if she could be permitted. I knew that she'd unconsciously passed that dream to myself, but it was nothing I was upset at her for. I wished for a large family too. After being on the run and loosing all that we'd had, it meant everything to me to have so many loving and smiling faces surrounding us again.

So, I took the test and gave it time to work. Waiting those few minutes in the bathroom, I rested and allowed my body to take what time it needed to feel better. It already was feeling more normal and I didn't appear to look pale when I checked into the mirror. The crying of my little ones also seemed to cease in that time. The others must have managed to calm them down.

I tried not to look at the tests too early in fear of false results. I tried my hardest to wait the few minutes required for the tests to go through. I jumped however, when I heard the doorbell ring and it caused me to look up at that moment. My eyes first carried to the door where I could hear Undyne and Alphys arriving with their little one. But then my gaze was cast to the test I'd had on the counter just beside the door.

Four weeks it said…

"Oh my goodness…" I quickly lifted a hand to my mouth to keep me from squealing too loudly. But I heard the knock on the door regardless. Sans could feel the giddiness in my soul.

"Precious?"

"You were right Darling." Opening the door and allowing him inside, I showed him the results. "I'm… four weeks along."

"Shit… I'm gonna be a dad again…" He burst out laughing before he swung around and shouted. "Ya owe me twenty Mighty Terror!"

"Fuck you!"

"Hey, hey!" My tone was heard quickly by my sister who sat with wide eyes and both my children in her arms. She barely moved a muscle as I plowed right by my husband to nose up to her. Frisk shrunk at my approach. "Remember that there are young children that will pick up on your bad habits Frisky. And I don't care that you're in college, I will still scrub your mouth out with soap for saying those words!"

"Eep!" Frisk barely let out an audible squeak while I stared her down. She barely moved under my gaze. "S-sorry…"

Only then did I pull back. Frisk sighed before handing back over my son to myself so she only had to focus on one of the kids.

"Hey Angel!" It was Undyne who greeted me with her lovely wife and son at her side. "Heard ya just found out your gonna have another kid! Congrats!"

"What?!" We all turned as Papyrus came down over the stairs with a then calm Impact who reached for me the second he saw me. "You'll have another child, Sister?! Oh my goodness! You must tell me what you know!"

"Not much Papy." I smiled at him. "But I can at least tell you how I found out."

Witch's Note:

Awe! Oh my goodness! Oh I love this so much! So many cute moments! The kids are just so friggen cute! And look at that amazing kid of Alphys and Undyne! Zakar Von Undying... Man that was a good name! At least in my opinion! I'll have to wait and see what you guys say... XD

But Angel is pregnant again! More kids on the way! Does she have twins again? Is it only a single one this time?

And I can't lie, that line at the end between Sans and Frisk. "Ya owe me twenty, Mighty Terror!" "Fuck you!" And then Angel coming after her sister...

Ah what blissful memories...

And before I forget, next chapter is gonna be early next week since Jager and I are moving in on the fifteenth! I won't have internet for a little bit, so I wanted to make sure you all had the chapter before I forgot.

Anyway, before I get too tied up in what's going on here, let's look at some reviews!

Thechaosmaster: Graduation! Yes it's here! No more people in school for a bit. Especially since the little ones are toddlers at the moment, so it will be a little while before any of those kids get into school.

And yes, I did have to use that name! XD I couldn't help it. I needed to make something really represent why he always went by MK, and the fact that we didn't hear his name for almost three full books!

But I won't hold you long from the torturing of Luke, assisting Mystic Girl, and checking in on Mystic Boy, so you best get back to it!

BTW, how's your story coming?

Shadow8Phantom: (Mystic Girl actually comes flying out of the dungeon door as Chaos is just opening the hatch to come racing at me with a paper in hand. She slams it on my table with a wild look to her eyes.)

Mystic Girl: What the hell did I just read?

Me: A great question in all honesty. One thing I can tell is that our graduation parties were nothing compared to Shadow's, that's for sure. And I honestly don't mind that.

Mystic Girl: Okay... I'm going back to my stuff.

Me: Have fun! (Taking a secret passage hidden in the corner of my room, Mystic Girl, goes down an emergency slide that removes her from my room quickly.) Anyway, back to this! We're moving on! To the future! And soon we shall see more of the growth of our characters!

And it is so good to see Frisk becoming so lively again. It's great to see!

Not A Shady Guy: Man... you parents sound like mine. They wouldn't let me drop any math courses either, but I guess that makes sense with my entire family mostly being in scientific fields of study. Without going into too much detail, Dad was a pilot, Mom was a nurse. I studied horticulture and my brother studied environmental science. They were big into study, study, study...

I hope you do well in the classes you like!

And I love those little ones just as much as you do! Wait until you see them get older and develop their own personalities!

MysticBoywastaken: We're happy to have you back at any point. You take your time and enjoy. I've got a lot more chapters focusing on the kids, but if any of them are too hard for you, you don't haven't read them.

I don't want you to feel you have to share, because you most certainly do not. But if like you said you went through what Frisk did? The mental strain on that alone is horrible. I kept trying to put myself in her shoes when writing those pieces all that time ago while we posted the first story. And it was hard. Take what time you need to heal.

And it seems that you and Chaos have been speaking a lot in between chapters, which is great! If you feel you want to reach out as well, my PM is always open if you want to directly message me and Mystic Girl.

Okay, I think that's everyone! So we've got a lot going on! Many things changing and lives moving forward!

You'll have to find out next time what's next!

Love you all and see you next week!
