One World: Many Souls

Chapter 39: Five Is A Crowd

Angel's Point of View:

"April fools!"

"April fools!"

"There, ya both got it." Sans laughed in the living room while he taught our children the importance of light hearted jokes and possible borderline harassment, depending on the recipient of course. "Now, anyone yer age or older is fair game. No pickin' on yer younger siblin's or yer mother. Got it?"

"Yes Daddy."

"Okay Daddy!"

"Great, go have fun."

The eldest of our children, five and a half in age, took off then to run around the house and play around with the latest of things they'd learned about. Of course, with the first of April being such an important day in the household, it was a moment to cherish as Sans would use his dad jokes, his best puns, and drive everyone absolutely mad.

Normally I would be included in on the fun, but it was my due date, and I was currently waiting for Olivia at the time. For my own personal comfort, I was back at Alphys and Undyne's again. Safely tucked in a hospital bed with food and snacks for when the event would start. Olivia was simply out on another run for another monster couple just a half hour away from us. She'd be back soon enough while we waited.

"Cali, Connie," I addressed the two little ones who were curled into my side on the bed with protective bars raised so they couldn't fall. Both girls lifted their heads from their toys while I patted my enlarged abdomen. "Check, check."

"S-sib!"

"S-s-sib!"

Both girls lightly patted my belly before putting their heads and bodies against me as well. Their little hands felt for when their younger sibling would be under the skin. My fifth child kicked and pushed, making sure myself and the girls knew they were there.

This would be my first surprise baby. The only one who knew the gender of the baby was Olivia and Frisk, I supposed that also meant Asriel with how often he was over in the last few months.

Frisk and Asriel had taken it upon themselves to decorate the room for my newest baby. With the experience from my previous four children, Frisk had a great idea of what was needed. We already had many of the necessary supplies already, toys and whatnot. But she and her friend painted the room, got blankets in that themed color. The room was all prepared for when the baby was delivered and we went home.

I still felt it was a boy, I hoped it was one so poor Eras wasn't the only little man in my home. I knew it irritated him.

Granted, deep down, I really don't think that Eras cared all that much. It was true that he would spend some time with Calibi and Constantina, while the rest was spent with Impact and Arial. Eras never appeared to judge by gender. He was still young, his actions said otherwise to how he noted beforehand. He also seemed to be yanking a new little recruit into his group, Undyne's oldest son, Zakhar.

While the yellow child was just shy of four still, he chased after the eldest of our generation eager to play. Zakhar was smart, quick as a whip. His endurance as a child and his attention to detail came from both parents and was amazing to watch. Especially when using his magic that rivaled Undyne's to catapult himself into the air and be a bowling pin for the younger one's enjoyment…

Zakhar had magic similar to Undyne's, Though, he seemed to have shields instead of spears as his mother did. Yellow in color, they were strong enough already to stop the little yellow male from accidently hurling himself into sharp objects when playing roughly around the home. It was insane to seem how many of the tactics he'd inherited from our lovely blue fish lady… Undyne could only laugh while Alphys was already fretting that something would happen to their little ones.

"Yo Precious!" I lifted my head from my thoughts when Sans poked his head in. "Liv's here."

"Dadadadadada!"

I still couldn't get over how Calibi and Constantina did everything in unison. Without even trying! They were toddlers for goodness' sake!

"Hey there girls! Ya ready ta see yer siblin'?" Sans walked in then to greet the girls and set his hand on my moving belly. Though the second he set his hand down, the moment calmed a lot more.

I could only raise an eye brow at the action my youngest child took. "What in the world?"

"S'alright, Precious." Sans winked at me while picking up the younger twins. "Probably don't wanna give up their free womb and board."

I burst out laughing at that one. Sans had been the best and looked up, researched, and wrote, his own baby jokes. It was great to laugh, while Calibi and Constantina would laugh in unison with me. And just like that my baby was kicking up a storm again, almost like they were laughing along with us.

It was almost like they were anticipating their father's joke?

"My, my it sounds lively in here!" Olivia poked her head in to see us all. "Oh, my goodness! Angel, you look great and Cali and Connie seemed to be growing well. They're so big!"

"Growing like weeds, all of them are." I giggled at her letting my fingers run over the heads of each of my remaining daughters with me. "So, what's the plan? We know I'm not going to be on time."

"Oh, I know, so we're going to break your water and get this party started." Olivia winked at me while she pulled her bag onto the counter, beginning to pull out items that she would need. "I know you've been through this and you've had four kids come out of you no problem, but I think we caught you early enough that I can induce labor and control the situation. Shouldn't be long though with how things have gone in the past. Anything you want to do before you get started?"

I thought about it carefully before shaking my head. "I don't think so, let's get started."

"I'll move the girls." Sans was quick to grab at the youngest twins who easily grabbed onto him, clutching his clavicle with tiny fingers. The girls laughed while they swung lightly in his arms. "Say bye-bye ta yer mom. Gonna be a bit before ya see her."

"Mama! Bye-bye!"

In unison… my lord, those girls…

Sans carried the girls out along with some toys on his arm or with his magic. With them out of the way, Olivia came back over to me. "You ready?"

"Yes, and hopefully this is the last one you deliver out of me."

Olivia frowned. "Didn't Sans go have that procedure done? Twice?"

I raised an eye brow. "And I'm still pregnant."

"Oh dear…" Olivia I could tell was hiding a smile behind her hand when she covered her mouth, but her eyes said it all. "I can reach out to certain colleges I've been communicating with to see if anyone else besides those you've gone to has experience in that area."

Just due to how both Undyne and my husband had issues in the past with the first doctor they saw, and goodness only knows if it would have worked that second time, I sighed. "Why don't you, just in case? Though I really want to stop at five."

I could just barely hear the snort escape her. "The only way to put a true stop to that is to stop having sex, Angel."

I scowled, but really didn't feel like arguing with her. I laid back against the bed, keeping quiet while she got to work. It wouldn't be long then before my newest baby would be in my arms.

Later That Day:

"Bwaahahaha!"

"Sans! Stop that this instant!"

"B-but A-angel-hahahaha!"

"Sans!"

"Pft! Haha! Oh, my fuck! That is funny!"

"Sans!"

"Sister!" Papyrus came rushing in with many other family members at that same moment. "What is the matter!? Is everything alright-"

But Papyrus stopped talking the second he saw the situation. Sans was laughing so hard that tears rolled down from the edges of his eye sockets like rivers. He could hardly hold himself up and was a laughing, suffering mess of joy on the floor. He rolled around, barely missing the pile of mucus fluid and blood on the floor that had yet to be cleaned up.

I on the other hand was annoyed. I couldn't corral my husband in those moments. I struggled to hold back my anger from the situation. I had no idea that this would happen. Everything was going so well and we were having such a family moment.

All up until…

"Sis?" More people started to gather and I was thankful that I at least had been cleaned myself even if the mess hadn't entirely. I could barely see Alphys poke her head in and with a tap of a button on a remote she had, a little robot or two was already cleaning up the mess. Undyne was there too, watching on with a miffed fascination of my husband clearly losing himself on the floor. My sister as well, with Asriel right behind her.

Then came more people, the eldest of the kids had also poked their heads in, slipping in between the long legs of the adults that they traveled with. Arial was the first brave one to come up to me and use the chair beside my head to reach me.

"Mommy? What's going on?"

And Sans nearly cracked a rib I thought from how he was laughing. He couldn't honestly stop with how hilarious he thought the situation was.

"Jesus, what happened here?"

My sister spoke next and came in to sit beside me. Both my sister and her carbon copy, her niece, looked over the bed to watch as Sans couldn't even attempt to get ahold of himself.

I sighed while giving an evil eye to my husband. "Sans has a new appreciation for today."

"Huh?"

"Mommy? What does that mean?" Arial carefully crawled over me to where her father was still a mess. "Did Daddy tell too many jokes?"

"Oh lord…" I honestly couldn't resist the sigh that came out of me.

"Sans, please, get a hold of yourself!" Papyrus grew irritated on my behalf. He walked in and grabbed his older brother by the back of his coat to look him in the eye sockets. "I don't need to remind you of how to act and be a proper person! You were doing so well and not so… into your bad habits in years! What has happened? Please calm yourself and speak clearly."

"Oh! So many of you are here!"

The atmosphere changed a bit when Olivia came back. She wore a bright smile with my youngest baby in her arms. Cleaned, taken care of, wrapped in a lovely blue blanket that she passed to me.

I had a second son.

"Miss Olivia, what's going on here?" Papyrus asked the woman while my husband actually was struggling to breath, still laughing in the arms of his brother. "Why is my brother acting like this? Was he given laughing gas? I heard that was a thing in human medicine."

"No, he was not." Even Olivia struggled to hold back a chuckle. She bit her lip before writing out material on my son's birth certificate. She then picked it up and handed it over to my sister who was closest to her. "This may shed some light."

"Huh?" My sister raised an eye brow before she looked to the thick paper in her hands. Carefully looking it over, her eyes caught was it was that threw Sans into such a tizzy before her jaw dropped. "His name is Jokerman?!"

"Bwahahahahaha!" Sans once again couldn't hold back his laughter and this time his son seemed to join him. The new born cried. He didn't know how to laugh yet, so it just simply sounded like crying.

"You have got to be kidding me!" Papyrus was over and done the second he had to process that information. "Your son is named after your terrible habits?! Named like that… on a day dedicated to jokes!?"

The taller skeleton cried as he fell to the floor. He began to weep dramatically in a way I hadn't seen since he was a teen when I first met him. Sans was no better as he leaned against his brother and continue to laugh.

The room was a mess as it burst into laughter.

Undyne's voice somehow cracked through the loudness of it all. "The hell! How in the world did that happen?!"

Frisk giggled behind her hands. "It was his font, right?"

I sighed. "Yes…"

"Oh, this is great!" Frisk jumped to Asriel to shaking his shoulders, that were already struggling to hold back his own laughter out of respect. "We have to tell the others!"

"Mommy?" My attention was rolled back to Arial while she looked at me in a confused manner. "I don't get it…"

With a sigh, I ran my fingers through her hair while holding her brother. "It's okay, baby bone. You'll understand one day."

Mystic's Note: Hannah POV ending.

Hey guys! That chapter was fricken hilarious don't ya think? I can't believe Sans named his child after his habit! And Angel let it happen!

Halloween: To be fair, it wasn't Sans or Angel who chose the name, it was what Joker's font was. That's the reason why they chose that because that he's literal style.

Mystic Girl: But still? Jokerman on April Fools? What the hell?

Before we get into anymore chaos, or laughter, as I should say, onto the review!

Thechaosmaster: Woah! Okay Chaos, let's calm down just a tad. I bet if we ask Halloween she'll let us give that mom a 'talking to' if you know what I mean?

Halloween: I guess? She was a one off character so she's yours if you really want her I guess.

Me: Yes! Let's go Chaos!

Halloween: (She sighs.) Anyway, I'm sure you were infuriated about that chapter, but it was something that had to show. There was no way Angel wasn't going to see that at all in her life, and this may not be the only time. We don't know yet on that. I honestly wasn't sure how everyone was going to feel about this, and in some ways, it seems everyone is on different sides. Some thing Angel was too harsh and some thing she wasn't harsh enough.

And that's okay, we all have our own opinions.

Shadow8Phantom: All good points. As for Mettaton, she has no more fame and she is ruined anyway so she can't do anything.

Halloween: I wouldn't say that, even people who fall from grace still have those that believe in them right? Mettaton will still have a small following of followers, whether we like it or not. But onto other points you pointed out Shadow, you're more then right. Angel might be a bit over the moon here, and I presented it that way to play to those different people who would feel differently. There are some like you who think that might have been a bit overboard even if her anger is rightfully placed, but there in shows just how protective she is of the people who have been far kinder then perhaps what she grew up with.

We have to keep in mind that from the first book, Angel was always hesitant about other humans, perhaps it was due to Austin, but its also possible there were other humans she struggled with in the past. And since the monster people were always so kind to her, she perhaps associates that humans are far crueler than monsters, even if we all know that it could happen either way.

unfortunatlyriverwastaken: Glad your back, River! Just try not to go MIA too much! We need you here for all the stuff the bad guys are planning! But I do agree with you.

Halloween: There are lots of points to cover with how right you are, as well as where your thoughts and feelings are placed. To start off with the sprinkles, I'm going to leave that open to discussion since I don't want to say anything about that. XD

But as for how the situation goes, there are so many things that you're right about. Angel and the other mother certainly didn't handle the situation well, and that principal had her hands tied in what she was allowed to do. The biggest thing I can say is that when your young, your passionate, and perhaps a lot of us young folk do stupid things because we're passionate.

I believe Angel did right and wrong this time, but that doesn't mean that she'll forget it, or learn from her mistakes.

Halloween: Okay, that was still the most beautiful chapter on the funny side yet. I had way too much fun working on this one, what do you think Mystic?

Me: I can't believe you made Papyrus lose his mind! That was so fucking funny.

Halloween: Oh, come on! You can't tell me he wouldn't have responded that way in this situation at any other chance?

Me: No. But I gotta say, I can say one thing though to the readers, you guys are gonna love the next chapter! I know I did. If you want a hint, we're got a little number concerning Frisk this time around, and she's gonna show some amazing growth!

Halloween Witch: It will be a cute chapter, one that runs on quite a few emotions, but also shows how much she's grown.

Me: Definitely! Another exciting chapter with some laughs to go along with it. And hope to see you next week! Love you guys!
