For my 200th story, a brand new adventure has opened the way. Davis, Tai, and their friends have grown and now the time has come to pass the baton to the next generation. Others might be against it, but with new digivices, new digimon, and new digidestined; it could all be a sign that the time draws near for both the human world and the digital world to truly become one.

Digimon are back again

Amanda: We finally arrived in the realm where Fanglongmon lives, but there was no one there. We got a call from Tai and found out Fanglongmon knew we were coming. It was all part of a plan for him to try and lure the stronger digidestined away and attack Earth. Tai managed to get digidestined from all around the world to fight back, but Fanglongmon unleashed some of his power and none of them could defeat his six guardians. Now we've got to get back to Earth because we might be the only ones that can stop Fanglongmon

"Plan of Attack"

Upon hearing that Fanglongmon tricked Haru and the others and begun his attack on Earth, they all hurried back as fast as they could. Once they opened up a gateway, all of them hurried on through and arrived back in Odaiba.

"Looks like we're back." Haru said.

"And nothing has changed yet. That means that Fanglongmon hasn't been here yet." Dorumon said. That means they still have a chance, but there isn't much time. Then, the phone Haru had went off.

"Haru? Haru, are you there?" Tai asked.

"Yeah. We're here, Tai. We just got back to Odaiba." Haru said.

"Head straight for Tokyo Tower. I'll meet you there." Tai said. With all that is going on lately, they need a plan or else everyone is going to be in big trouble. What they didn't know was that being back triggered something with Haru's crest.

Fanglongmon

Right when Haru and the others came back to Odaiba, their presence already became known. Fanglongmon could feel the power of the crest of heart since it's power originally came from him just as the power of the other crests came from the four Digimon Sovereign. That means he knows Haru and the others are back.

"I can sense it. The crest of heart has arrived." Fanglongmon said. "That means whoever holds it is here, and that could be most troublesome for my plans. The crests might be the only thing that gives these humans a chance to fight back, a chance I can't allow." It seems the world's destruction will have to wait. He has his sights set on different targets now. "Hear me, my followers. Find those humans and destroy them."

GigaSeadramon

"I hear you, Lord Fanglongmon." GigaSeadramon said as he made his way through the seas with Fanglongmon's message getting through to him and the other five. "I can't believe those pesky humans from before were the ones we had to worry about the most. We should have finished them when we had the chance, but no worries. Our foot soldiers can handle some of the more annoying pests. Those humans won't know what hit them." GigaSeadramon and the others heard Fanglongmon's message and were heading for Odaiba now, and GigaSeadramon seems to be the closest now as Japan was right in his sights.

Tokyo Tower

Haru and the others headed straight for Tokyo Tower like Tai said. When they got there, they met up with Tai and Davis.

"You guys came back at just the right time." Tai said. "We're in a real situation now. I knew Fanglongmon was powerful, but I wasn't aware of how powerful he really was."

"What happened?" Amanda questioned.

"It was crazy. These digimon armies just came and attack." Davis said. "We tried to get digidestined from all around the world to fight back, but Fanglongmon's power knocked them out."

"Wait. One digimon took out many that were scattered around the entire world?" Amanda said. "We were told he's powerful, but to have his power cover our entire planet is crazy."

"We met up here because we we can see an attack coming from any direction up here." Tai said. "There are still a lot of people in the city, so Kari and the others are doing what they can to help them before the enemy digimon show up. Digidestined from all around the world are fighting against the foot soldiers of this invasion, but Fanglongmon himself and six other digimon are too powerful. Those are the ones we really need to worry about."

"Man, I can't believe this. Fanglongmon had us waste whatever time we have left." Haru said. "The Digimon Sovereign might be holding the Digital World from crashing into our world, but their power can't last. Eventually, they'll run out of power. We don't even know how much time we have left."

"Fanglongmon is using that time to try and destroy our world." Sid said.

"How did things get so out of hand? How did things get like this?" Mary said as they all felt the same. What are they going to do? Just then, their six digivices started to give off a strange sound. When they pulled each one of them out, a series of sparkles came out from each of them.

"What's going on? What is this?" Ben questioned.

"Pretty." Dorumon said.

"In order for you to understand, things must trace back to the beginning."

"Uh... Guys, a bunch of glitter is talking to us." Sid said as this was the weirdest thing they have ever seen.

"Hold on. Are you...Homeostasis?" Tai questioned.

"Homeostasis? Homeostasis is the steady balance of internal, physical, chemical, and social conditions." Ben said. "Are you saying that's the actual name?"

"Homeostasis is a being from the Digital World." Tai explained. "In fact, Homeostasis was the one that chose us to be the digidestined. Before, it needed to possess Kari in order to speak with us."

"Yes, but these new digivices allow me now to do so without the need of a host." Homeostasis claimed.

"Well, I don't know why you are here, but I'm not so sure we want your help." Agumon said. "I remember everything that happened with Meicoomon and how you wanted her destroyed."

"We were doing what needed to be done." Homeostasis claimed. "We did what you were failing to do because you weren't willing to make the necessary sacrifices. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. You were willing to put both worlds in danger just to save one; and you called us the selfish ones."

"It's not that..." Tai said as he looked back at those days. "We just thought there was another way. We didn't want to sacrifice a friend."

"Uh... I don't know what you're all talking about, but I'm guessing you wouldn't be here if this wasn't important." Haru said. "What do you want? Now is not a good time for some kind of argument."

"No, you are right. In order for you to understand how to finish this, you must know how it all began." Homeostasis claimed as the sparkles really shined and blinded all of them. When they could all see again, they were surrounded by nothing.

"Is this going to be another one of the lecture things like we got with the Sovereign and AncientGreymon?" Dorumon complained.

"Shush. This could be important." Panmon said.

"Let us take a look at the beginning of human and digimon interaction." Homeostasis said. That was when two different images of two different events.

"Davis, look there! That's Lui and Ukkomon!" Veemon said as he recognized one of them.

"And over there is Nishijima and Himekawa!" Tai said as he and Agumon looked at the other event.

"The two worlds have existed in correlation since the beginning of time. As your world evolved, so did the Digital World." Homeostasis. "The connection between the two were small, but it grew and it soon brought upon these two moments."

"AncientGreymon told us about this." Sid claimed. "This is when it was discovered that humans can produce a special energy that can help the digimon. The Digital World itself is alive, and when it discovered this, that was when the digidestined were formed to help protect the Digital World."

"Yes, and that was only the beginning. Behold." Homeostasis said as it showed other images.

"Tai, look!" Agumon said.

"I see it. It's Highton View Terrace!" Tai said.

"Highton View Terrace?" Haru questioned.

"It's where the eight of us lived once before." Tai said. "There's a gateway to the Digital World there. In fact, look there!" All of them looked and saw two digimon fighting against each other. "That's Greymon and Parrotmon! Those are two digimon we saw fight each other!"

"You saw that?" Taka questioned.

"Look down there." Homeostasis said as she showed Tai and the others when they were kids and witnessing that battle.

"That's you and Kari!" Davis recognized.

"Wow, you were cute back then, Tai. What happened?" Taka teased.

"Hey!" Tai complained.

"Look! I also see Sora and the others!" Kudamon said as they spotted the rest.

"After this happened, development on the new digidestined was underway." Homeostasis as they found themselves in another area.

"I remember this!" Tai said as they were in some sort of lab. "This is where Gennai and the others worked on the digivices with Agumon and the other digimon in their digieggs! This is also where the crests were developed!"

"You mean these?!" Ponymon called as he found them and they all had a look. "These are the crests, right? The ones the Sovereign helped create."

"Yes. We developed them based on the data we gathered on Tai and his friends." Homeostasis said. "Each of them lend a small piece of their powers that helped forged the crests. However, Dark Forces attacked and tried to prevent it from happening. They wanted that power for themselves or not be used against them" That was when they witnessed an attack going on by mechanical digimon with those who worked on this project getting hurt.

"Hey, who's the clown?" Amanda said as they witnessed another digimon coming to the case.

"That's Piedmon. He was the leader of a group known as the Dark Masters." Tai explained as they witnessed him attacking the case and stealing the crests.

"Look! Gennai!" Labramon said as they witnessed Gennai make a brave attempt to stop him. As the two fought, Piedmon placed something inside of Gennai.

"Hey! What was that?! Piedmon put something in him!" Ben said.

"When Tai and his friends first met Gennai, he was an old man." Homeostasis said. "Gennai might look human, but he's not entirely human. He doesn't really age like you humans. What Piedmon placed inside caused him to age rapidly in an attempt to weaken him for Gennai was the only one that survived that attack."

"Wait. I just realized something." Tai claimed. "Piedmon was the one that stole the crests, but we found them scattered on Server and the tags were buried by Devimon. If Piedmon stole them, how did Devimon hide them?"

"The truth is that Devimon worked with Piedmon." Homeostasis said as it showed the image of Devimon being handed the tags. "Piedmon was the one that hid the crests in hopes that they would never be used against them and he entrusted Devimon to hide the tags."

"But what about Myotismon? He had Kari's crest because he was trying to use it to find her." Tai asked. "How did he find her crest?"

"Myotismon had the same agenda as Piedmon." Homeostasis said as he showed those two digimon facing each other. "Myotismon acted separate from Piedmon. He wanted the power for himself, so he attempted to steal them from Piedmon." All of them watched as the two of them fought each other, but Piedmon was the one winning. "Myotismon could not match Piedmon's power. He did make one last attempt for the crests and managed to take one." They all watch as Myotismon was badly injured from his fight with Piedmon. He jumped straight for the crests and he did manage to take one. Piedmon attempted to stop him, but couldn't and Myotismon escaped with it. That one crest was the one that was meant for Kari.

"This is all interesting, but that's only eight of you guys. Davis, where were you and the others during all of this?" Haru questioned.

"Don't look at me. I didn't even know about the digimon until I met Veemon." Davis said.

"That's not entirely true." Homeostasis said as he showed different events that happened.

"Hey! That's me!" Davis said as he spotted himself as a kid with his family being held hostage. "I remember now. My family and I were being held at the Convention Center." He said as it all came back. "I was separated from my family by a ghost, which was really a Bakemon. That was when I met Myotismon and Gatomon."

"That was when Myotismon took people captive!" Tai said. "I had no idea you were there too, Davis."

"Myotismon was attempting to find the eighth child, who we learned was Kari, and wanted to destroy her to rule over both worlds." Agumon explained.

"And look at the other moments. I see Cody near the plane and Yolei on the computer." Mary said as she spotted the two of them.

"Cody was on the plane that Garudamon and MegaKabuterimon saved." Tai said. "That was when our battle against the Dark Masters started. As for Yolei, she was one of many who witnessed the battle with Diaboromon and Omnimon on the internet."

"The two digimon that fought on the internet! Hiori told us about that!" Mary remembered.

"From Myotismon to now, digimon have been arriving in the world and the balance has been disrupted." Homeostasis claimed as he showed several images of several digimon that Tai and the others have fought. "In each one of those experiences, new digidestined were formed to help restore the balance."

"That's right. I always thought since I was around Gatomon so much that I became a digidestined." Mary said. "The same is probably true for all of us. We each had some sort of experience with the digimon."

"That's true." Taka said as he thought back. "There!" He pointed to a moment with Omnimon fighting against a digimon named Ordinemon. "I was there when that happened. I was so young that I almost forgot."

"I was there too!" Ben said as they both remembered being on a bridge and saw the fight happen.

"I wasn't there when that happened, but I do remember those butterfly-like digimon." Amanda said as she saw the digimon known as Eosmon. "I saw those things appearing everywhere going after those who had a digimon with them."

"But I don't remember having any interaction with the digimon." Haru said.

"No... But your parents did want to study them. Maybe you were just too young to remember." Ben theorized.

"But how do mere experiences like that make us qualified to be digidestined?" Sid questioned.

"Because...it is the will of the Digital World." Homeostasis claimed, but none of them really got it.

"This is so weird." Labramon claimed.

"Weird? We're talking to a bunch of sparkles! Nothing we've done is normal!" Amanda claimed in frustration.

"Why are you telling us all of this?" Ben questioned.

"How does this help us against Fanglongmon?" Swallowmon questioned

"I offer you this wisdom. The balance has been destroyed and I do not have the power to restore it." Homeostasis claimed. "You are the ones that must. Do not let your emotions cloud your judgement. You must do what needs to be done." When Homeostasis was done, it disappeared and restored everything to how it was. However, none of them really understood what just happened.

"That was bizarre." Davis complained.

"I don't get it. What was the point of all that?" Taka questioned.

"The will of the Digital World..." Haru repeated as he thought it over. "Maybe that's what Homeostasis was trying to tell us!"

"What do you mean?" Dorumon questioned.

"The Digital World itself is alive. I think it wants humans and digimon to be closer. The Digital World itself wants the two worlds to be closer." Haru said. "That's why digidestined from all around are appearing. After all, digimon are affected by human emotions."

"That's right. AncientGreymon told us about that." Sid said. "Human emotions have an affect on digimon. It's connected to the energy we share that allows digimon to digivolve."

"Our emotions?" Tai questioned and that's when it hit him all the times Agumon digivolved to all his forms for the first time. "I think you're right!"

"But that's from positive emotions. Negative emotions have an affect as well." Sid claimed. "According to AncientGreymon, negative human emotions might be the cause for all the evil in the Digital World. It's why some digimon are more wild and vicious. Take moments like disasters, a moment that greatly affects so many people. All those negative emotions affect the Digital World."

"That's why Fanglongmon wants to destroy the human world. If he destroys the source of the chaos, the Digital World will be a peaceful place." Panmon claimed.

"But positive emotions affect them too. That further proves that humans and digimon can live together." Mary claimed.

"Maybe there was a time Fanglongmon believed that since he helped form my crest, but he doesn't believe that anymore." Haru claimed. "All he sees is the chaos that comes from it. I think that's what Homeostasis was trying to tell us. We needed to know how it all began so we could use that to help us now. We took it upon ourselves to bring both worlds together, no longer will they be divided."

"By knowing the past and how things got to be how they are now, we can use it to shape the future." Sid claimed.

"And with both worlds in danger, we can't afford to be lenient now. We have to fight for that future." Haru claimed. All of them understood what they have to do now. Just in time because they were being alerted about a message.

"There you guys are. I've been trying to get a hold of you."

"Hey! That sounded like Hiori!" Haru said as they all saw he was sending them a video message.

"Hiori? How?" Tai questioned.

"You're forgetting that I have a wide set of connections. Anything connected to the network isn't a problem." Hiori said. "Listen, I'm working with a man named Gennai to try and fix those tears in that I caused and try to fix everything, but there's another problem. The digimon that are attacking are making their way to Odaiba. These three are closing in." He showed them footage of what was happening as he showed three enemy digimon heading for Odaiba.

"GigaSeadramon!" Ben said.

"Lotosmon!" Mary said.

"And Blastmon!" Amanda said.

"Those are the same digimon we just fought against!" Ponymon said.

"That explains why they disappeared. This was all part of Fanglongmon's plan." Kudamon said.

"Thanks, Hiori. You keep your eye on them and keep us updated." Haru said and ended the call.

"But why are they coming here when the time could be better spent destroying Earth? Not that I want them to." Taka said.

"They're coming for us!" Haru realized. "Think about it! Fanglongmon knows about the crests! Those are the only things that we have that the other digidestined don't! Fanglongmon must sense that and is coming here to get rid of us!"

"Makes sense. Fanglongmon wants to eliminate all threats to his plans." Sid said. "While the foot soldiers are attacking the rest of the world, his loyal and most powerful servants are planning to eliminate us."

"They're all powerful megas. The city won't last if they get here." Kudamon warned. This is bad. This is turning to all-out war. The time to take a stand is now.

"Swallowmon, are you ready for a fight?" Ben asked.

"Of course." Swallowmon said.

"Ben?" Haru said as he wondered what he's thinking.

"Someone has to stop those digimon and we might be the only ones that can!" Ben said. "Even if they're all powerful digimon, we've got to do something to stop them. Swallowmon and I will take on GigaSeadramon."

"He's right, so Ponymon and I will take on Lotosmon." Taka offered.

"Right, and Labramon and I will take Blastmon." Amanda claimed.

"Yeah. The time is now for action." Tai said. "Davis and I can let the others know and they can lend each of you a hand."

"Can Agumon and the others even fight anymore?" Mary asked.

"You bet. We might not be able to unleash all of our power, but it will be just like when we fought Apocalymon after he destroyed the crests." Agumon claimed. "The power was with Tai and the others the whole time. This shouldn't be much different."

"I hope you're right. Well, we've got work to do!" Haru said with all of them ready for a fight now.

Tai

Once they settled on their plan of attack, they all went on out to face their battles. Those that weren't going stayed behind for when the other enemies arrived. As that happened, Tai took a moment for himself to think about all that has really happened. When he thinks about it, he sees how insane it all is. This goes beyond anything he and his friends have faced.

"Tai, are you okay?" Agumon asked.

"I'm okay. I'm just thinking how crazy everything has got." Tai said. "Not to mention that if we win this and everything restores to normal, you and the others might disappear again. On that note, there's something I've been meaning to do and haven't gotten the chance to."

"What's that?" Agumon questioned. That was when Tai wrapped Agumon in his arms.

"I missed you so much, but I knew we would find a way to be together again." Tai said as he could finally release the tears he's been holding back for this moment. Agumon felt the same way as they held each other. After everything, their bond has not broken and it's the bond between humans and digimon that is the key to restoring everything.
