Digimon are back again

Mary: We all made it home after our travel around the planet. We thought destroying all of Hiori's towers was good, but it's made the public's opinion on digimon more negative. It was also getting difficult on how we should go as to handling our current situation. We also found out that Hiori was building his own gate to the Digital World, and it was open for travel. Now he's planning to head to the Digital World and there's no telling what could happen. We have to get there before he does and try to stop him or else many more innocent digimon are going to suffer.

"Invasion of the Digimon Snatchers"

As soon as Izzy notified Haru and his team about a digital gate opening right in the human world, and that it was opened by Hiori Kaido himself, they all had to spring into action. All six of them went straight to the Digital World to be ready for when he showed up.

"According to Izzy, this is where the gate opened." Ben said. They all did a quick look around and so far there was no sign of anything. "It doesn't look like they were here yet."

"We don't even know if Hiori is going to appear in this area." Amanda said.

"At least we know that he will be coming." Mary said. "We should warn some of the digimon of what might come."

"We don't even know what's going to come." Taka pointed out.

"This is exactly what Mistymon was concerned about." Kudamon said. "He believed humans were the cause of all the Digital World's troubles. What this Hiori Kaido is planning could prove those concerns to be true."

"Which is why we need to stop it before it happens." Haru said.

"Haru..." Sid said. "I know I haven't fought alongside you guys for long, but I understand enough. If this guy does show, how exactly are we going to fight? Humans aren't as physically strong or durable as digimon are."

"I know, but we'll have to improvise." Haru said. "We can't backdown from this guy. If we don't stand against him, who will? We're doing this so that our two worlds can really live together."

"Guys! Over here!" Ben called as he and Swallowmon stood near a cliff. "It looks like there's a small village over there!" All of them hurried over and had a look to see that he was right. There was a small village not that far from where they are.

"This could be troubling." Swallowmon said. "If Hiori gets here and sees this, I doubt he'll leave it alone."

"Yeah. Let's get down there and warn the digimon." Dorumon said. "Of course, I'm sure they're all filled with some pretty tough digimon." Dorumon has no idea how right he is.

...

The Village

All of them went down to the village, but you can imagine their surprise when they got down there. What are the odds that every digimon in that village are fellow Dorumon. Every single villager is another Dorumon.

"I don't believe it!" Panmon said.

"They're all Dorumon!" Sid said.

"Look at it all! Have you never seen a village that was so good-looking?!" Dorumon said as he was certainly enjoying that this. He flew around with the other Dorumon and they all seemed so happy and excited.

"Dorumon!" Mary called, but all of them were looking at her. "I mean, Haru's Dorumon. Come here for a moment." She said with the one that is partnered with Haru flying over. When he did, she took out a piece of cloth from her pocket and tied it around his neck. "There. This way we'll be able to tell which one you are."

"Smart idea. I don't want to play "Find the Real Dorumon" in this mess." Haru said.

"We like to welcome you." Another Dorumon said as he came out. This one stood out from the others because he actually had a scar over his left eye. "A fellow Dorumon is always welcomed here. What brings you all here?"

"I wish we were here on a friendly visit, but I'm afraid that isn't the case." Dorumon said. "We all came here to warn you." Cutting straight to the point since an attack could come at any moment, they told the village about the attack that was coming.

"This Hiori isn't fond of digimon. If he shows up here, you're entire village will be in real trouble." Haru warned.

"But why. We haven't done anything to him." The scarred Dorumon claimed.

"It doesn't matter to him, but we're here now and we'll do what we can to help you." Haru said. He just hopes he can able to uphold that claim.

...

Hiori

Hiori was getting his men ready for his first trip into the Digital World. They were all getting armed with weapons and hope that it can be enough against monsters. Hiori was going himself as he had something else in mind.

"You're diving into a world with monsters and you're taking a small team like this?" Joanne questioned.

"We're not going to fight." Hiori said. "I'm well aware of how powerful and dangerous these digimon can be. I know human weapons won't do much. Some of these men are going for protection detail while I work on something else. This is a great opportunity to gather samples that we can use to learn more about that world, and find ways to truly combat against them."

"So you're going to collect plants and fruit? I thought we were going to see some action." Joanne questioned.

"Actually, I had something bigger in mind." Hiori said.

...

The Dorumon Village

The Dorumon of this little village were rather nice and friendly. It seems like they don't have much against humans and are willing to help them out. They're really just living peaceful lives, and that's what Haru and his team like to see.

"It's so nice to see a village like this." Mary said. "Just look at them. All these digimon are trying to make a decent life and trying to live peaceful lives. Just like we humans try to do."

"You're right. It shows that some digimon are capable of living the same way you humans can." Kudamon said. "If other humans could see this, they would see that their isn't much of a difference between us. Sadly, once our enemies get here, they won't see it. They'll see a village full of monsters that should be destroyed."

"We can't let that happen." Mary said.

"And we won't." Amanda said. All six of them were sure about what they're doing. Each of the digidestined were thinking about why they're doing this. Not only is it the right thing to do, but seeing this village is reminding them why digimon and humans living together can be possible.

"I can't believe out of all the villages we could have found, we found one that was filled with Dorumon." Taka said as he and Ben strolled around the place. "I'm sure Haru's Dorumon is loving this. He's surrounded by his own kind."

"You can say that again. Dorumon has always been playful, and now we're surrounded by many like him." Ben said.

"I wouldn't say that." Ponymon said.

"Ponymon is right. Some digimon might look the same, but we don't act the same." Swallowmon said. "After all, not all you humans look and act the same. Just have a look over there." He pointed to some Dorumon that were doing some farming work and they were taking it serious. They haven't seen their Dorumon like that except when they were fighting. "When was the last time you saw the Dorumon we know do farm work like that?"

"I suppose you're right." Ben said. "Digimon are all different just like all humans are different. I'm guessing they all have their own likes and dislikes as well. Some might act like wild animals, but there are others that are intellectual and can think for themselves. That's what we need the people back home to see." Ben said. Humans and digimon are more alike than others might think. That includes making mistakes and repenting for them. That's what's happening with Sid. He and Panmon just hung back and seeing a peaceful place like this was making him regret their past actions.

'It's so peaceful here.' Sid thought. 'I never noticed this sort of thing, but these digimon look like they're not interested in fighting. Does that mean the other digimon I did attacked were just like these guys?' Thinking back to how he and Panmon just attacked innocent digimon when they never did anything to him made him regret his actions even more. 'I suppose there are some digimon that really don't want to fight. How could I just think they were meant for fighting and nothing more? That makes me no different from Hiori.'

"Sid, are you okay?" Panmon questioned.

"I'm fine." Sid claimed, but he still feels the guilt over the mistakes he made. Hiori sees the digimon as a threat to humanity, monsters that only drag their problems into the real world. Sid saw them as a means to get power and were just for fighting. With such narrowminded thinking, Sid wasn't that much different from Hiori, and Sid is coming to hate it.

"Uh... Sid... We have some company." Panmon alerted. Sid took a look and saw some Dorumon were staring right at him with amazement.

"What? What do you all want?" Sid questioned.

"You're a human."

"We've never seen humans before."

"We've always been curious about them."

"Could you please tell us more about what the real world is like?" Sid was stunned. These digimon either didn't know about him or they did and didn't care. They wanted to know more about him because they were amazed with him. Sid never had anyone like that. That just left Haru. He and his Dorumon sat on top of a rock with the Dorumon that had a scar over his eye.

"So far, so good. What if we're wrong? What if this isn't where Hiori is going to make his attack?" Dorumon questioned.

"We'll just have to wait and see." Haru said as he wasn't really sure what else to do. "We need to get Hiori to see that digimon aren't a threat. There are all kinds of digimon. I just hope this doesn't affect the village on how they see us humans."

"Of course not." Dorumon with the scar said. "We know there are different kinds of humans. We Dorumon also have sharp instincts. We're able to tell when there is danger and we're not getting that feeling from any of you. To be perfectly honest, we wish to see the human world ourselves one day. You humans are truly fascinating and incredible, and we want to see more of what your world is like. We actually want to live with humans."

"That's great to hear because there are some digimon that think we can't live together. They blame us humans for some of the trouble this world has faced, and think the humans weren't needed to solve them." Haru said.

"Well, we don't think that." The scarred Dorumon said. "I have heard that some digimon do have a problem with humans. They say that our troubles started around the same time humans came to our world, but that's more like the talk of superstition. It's not right to blame humans for our problems when they had nothing to do with it. We're hoping for a day where the two worlds can live together." That's what Haru and the others are hoping for themselves. So many believe that humans and digimon really can live together, but they need to convince others that they can. They'll have to stand for that belief as they all saw a light shining from the forest.

"What was that?!" Haru's Dorumon said.

"It's him." Haru said as it was time to take some action.

...

Hiori

Hiori opened up the gate again and it worked. He and his team made it through the gate and were now in the Digital World. In fact, he even found the apple that he tested on and it was the same spot it was transported to. Once he lifted it up, he saw it all himself and could just envision what this world will be like when humans take it from the digimon.

"So this is the Digital World..." Hiori said. "I can't believe everything here is comprised of data."

"Sir, there's a village not that far from here!" One of his troopers said.

"Good. We'll begin there." Hiori said as he just tossed the apple aside and disrespected the Digital World by littering his own trash there. "Move out!" He and his men advanced towards the village and planned to take it for their own.

...

The Village

"Here they come." Haru said as they could see Hiori and his men making their way to the village. Haru pulled out his digivice and was ready for a fight.

"Haru, no." Mary said as she stopped him from doing anything. "Remember that we can't appear to be the aggressors. They're just regular humans. We can't fight them the same way we fight digimon."

"Maybe, but we have to do something." Haru said as he can't just sit around and do nothing while these people try and take the Dorumon's homes.

"Let's at least stay focus on keeping all the Dorumon here protected. I doubt these people will hesitate to hurt them." Ben said, and he had a point. That's about the best they can do and try to keep those men from hurting any innocent digimon. All of them prepared themselves as Hiori and his men walked right into the village with Hiori noticing Haru and the others there as well.

"Why am I not surprised to see you kids are here?" Hiori questioned. "You're starting to become a bigger nuisance than I thought."

"Nice to officially meet you, Hiori Kaido." Haru said with Hiori a little surprised that he knows his name.

"You know who I am? How?" Hiori questioned.

"That's not important. You don't belong here." Haru said. "If you're only here to cause trouble for the digimon, you need to leave this world now!"

"The way I see it, I have every right to be here as you children do." Hiori said. "Now stand aside. This game of yours is over. I'm here on official business and you children are interfering with it."

"Please, just listen to us." Mary said. "We understand you think you're protecting our world, but not all digimon are evil. We believe humans and digimon can really live together."

"Why are you even trying to get rid of them? What did they ever do to you?" Amanda questioned.

"Are you children not aware of what happened in Odaiba all these years? These creatures have been appearing and causing trouble all around. Many have caused a lot of damage, innocent people could have gotten hurt, and you're saying they're not evil? They're wild animals that need to be tamed."

"But these digimon had nothing to do with it. They're completely innocent." Taka said.

"Some of those digimon were evil, but there were those that fought alongside humans to stop them. Some of them were just scared and confused because they were faraway from home." Ben said. "Digimon aren't that different from us humans."

"Not that different?! They're animals! Monsters! There's nothing human about them!" Hiori said. "You kids clearly don't know what you're talking about. You clearly don't understand the danger that comes from being near them. I told you to get rid of those creatures, but it you didn't listen. You children never seem to listen. Enough of this nonsense. Men, get ready."

"But sir, they are just children." One soldier said.

"So be careful where you aim, and they are interfering with our work." Hiori said. "Just get ready to tear this place apart and drive these creatures away." His men followed through with the orders and were taking aim with their weapons.

"I'm warning you! Stop it right now!" Haru demanded.

"And what could any of you possibly do if we don't." Hiori said as he thinks they're all just empty threats.

"How about this?!" Kudamon said as he flew out.

"Shining Piercings!" The earrings on his ears shined and it blinded Hiori and his men for a moment. Having no choice, but to attack, the digimon did what they could. Champion digimon might be too much for the humans, but they can fight in their rookie forms.

"Feather Gust!" Swallowmon fought back as he fanned his wings and unleashed a series of feathers like daggers with them striking some of the soldiers.

"Galloping Gallop!" Ponymon acted like a wild horse coated in energy and tackled as many soldiers as he could.

"Let's go! Everyone, get out of here!" Mary called as she and the others escorted the villagers to get somewhere safe.

"Don't just stand there and be pushed around! Get them!" Hiori ordered. The soldiers went on the attack as they were actually firing away with their weapons. They were careful not to hit the kids, but the digimon were another matter. Their assaults tore through some of the huts and such and the village itself was being attacked. Meanwhile, the digimon partners were doing what they could to fight off the human soldiers. Labramon ran through the legs of some of them and managed to trip them up. However, one did kick him rather hard and knocked him down.

"I've got you now, little doggie." A soldier said and aimed right at him.

"Fury Paw!" Panmon jumped in and saved him as he smashed his paw right against him and punched the guy down.

"Thanks." Labramon said.

"Quit fooling around! They can't be that tough!" Hiori called. The digimon tried to fight off the human soldiers, but they were holding back out of not wanting to hurt them. Sid and the others were working on keeping the villagers safe, but the human soldiers were being resilient as they just kept attacking. That was when Haru got behind Hiori and put him in a headlock.

"Call off your men right now!" Haru said.

"Don't push your luck, kid!" Hiori said as he was able to knock him off. Haru tried to get up, but Hiori placed his foot down and kept Haru down. "Don't think I won't hurt you. You and your friends are interfering with official government business, and we're authorized to use force if we must."

"Stop attacking the digimon and we won't have a problem." Haru said.

"Are you serious?!" Haru said. "How can you not tell these things are dangerous?! Are you really willing to risk the lives of so many people just so you can keep your pets?"

"You mean our friends." Haru said.

"Just as I keep saying. You kids just don't listen or understand." Hiori said.

"We do understand! You're the one that doesn't!" Haru claimed.

"What is there to understand? They are dangerous and a threat to our world." Hiori said. "You think they deserve the same rights as humans or something? They're dangerous. They're not humans. Why should they get any consideration?" When he word it liked that, Haru could see it now. This kind of hatred is different. Normally, hatred comes from something personal. Not this time.

'I can't believe this guy. He wants to get rid of digimon, not just because he thinks they're dangerous, but simply because they're not human.' Haru thought. 'He doesn't even know them and he's already judging them.'

"Get off him!" Dorumon called as he tackled Hiori and got him off Haru. "Don't even think about hurting Haru."

"See that? He's protecting me!" Haru said to get Hiori to change his mind.

"A pet protecting it's master? Not exactly uncommon among animals." Hiori said with Haru hating this guy more and more. The village wasn't doing much better as the human soldiers were tearing through it and causing a lot of harm.

"This is bad." Kudamon said as he and Amanda took cover to try and protect a few villagers. "How are we going to stop them if we can't fight them?"

"Wait. What about that one attack you used when you fought MasterTyrannomon to get him to calm down?" Mary questioned.

"Of course! Brilliant, but I need to be Chirinmon to do that!" Kudamon said.

"Go for it!" Mary said as she allowed it.

"Kudamon digivolve to...Reppamon!"

"Reppamon digivolve to...Chirinmon!"

Once he digivolved, Chirinmon flew up in the air with some of the human soldiers astonished at the sudden change. Once he changed forms, he flew right over them and sprinkled a golden light over them and made them lose their resolve to keep fighting.

"What's going on?" Hiori questioned.

"That's Chirinmon's power." Dorumon said. "Your men are losing the will to keep fighting."

"Just gie it up or we'll have to use force ourselves." Haru said. "Don't think we're not afraid to fight just because you're a human like us."

"Please stop!" The Dorumon with a scar called as he got between them. "Please stop all this fighting! There's no reason for it!"

"Tell that to him!" Haru said. "His dislike for digimon comes from the fact that he doesn't know them and is judging them based on what he has seen without actual experience with them!"

"I'm just simply protecting our world from the likes of them. Whatever problems they have in their world, keep it in their world." Hiori said as he reached for something he had. "I will admit that you digimon do hold incredible power, but I plan to tame that power!" That was when he pulled put a pin from a device it threw it. The, it exploded and knocked all three of them back.

"Haru!" Sid called as they were all worried he was hurt. Luckily, the explosive wasn't so powerful. It just threw him for loop for a moment and he tried to pull himself together.

"Are you insane?!" Haru called.

"No. I'm a man on a mission. I'm fighting for the sake of humankind, so I can't be so lenient." Hiori said. "However, I do thank you for this." He held up his hand and showed he also had a net on him and showed he had Dorumon in there.

"Dorumon!" Haru called. "Give him back right now! What do you think you're doing?!"

"What better way to learn how to get rid of digimon once and for all then to examine and experiment them." Hiori said with Haru a little scared on what Hiori plans to do with his buddy "Flash bombs! Let's pull back for now!" His men followed with their orders and threw flash bombs against the ground that blinded all of them.

"Dorumon!" Haru called as he tried to fight through the blindness and get his buddy back. By the time he could see again. Hiori and his men were already gone. "Dorumon! That creep just stole my buddy!"

"Haru, I'm right here." Haru turned around and saw Dorumon was right there, and it was his Dorumon. He could tell because he saw the piece of cloth tied around his neck that Mary gave him.

"Wait. If you're here, who is the Dorumon he just took?" Haru questioned. He tried to figure out what just happened until it came to him as to who it was Hiori took. "Oh no!"

...

Hiori

Hiori's little invasion into the Digital World ended up being a success. All of his men came back with their little prisoner. They were able to open the gate again and returned back to his base. Once he got back there, he just tossed Dorumon on the ground like he was a bag of laundry. The same Dorumon that had a scar over his eye.

"Ooh. You brought back a souvenir." Joanne said.

"Please let me go. What are you going to do with me?" Dorumon questioned.

"I'm well aware of how powerful you creatures are. Human technology doesn't have the power to combat you, but that's where you come in." Hiori said. "We'll study you and find out just how to stand against your kind, and those experiments might be quite...painful." He claimed with Dorumon getting scared. There really is no reason for that, but Hiori believes they don't deserve the same rights as humans. Now that he has a captured digimon, just what is it will Hiori gain by experiementing on him.

...

The Digital World

"This is not good at all. A digimon has just been captured by a human that despises our kind."

"We can't sit around and be quiet anymore. We must take action against the humans at once."

"But that will make the worlds divide further apart. This conflict will never end if we don't work on bringing the two worlds together."

"Perhaps the time has come that we speak with the digidestined ourselves. They are the key to bringing both worlds together."

"I agree. We must act now." Four powerful digimon held a meeting and are thinking the same way Haru and the others have been. Could they really be allies?

To Be Continued...
