Chapter 5: Vendetta
The red lands were barren as there lay dead trees and emptiness among the city with chunks of lands floating up in the sky. Crumbling mass of rocks and buildings everywhere were chaotic, while nothing remained but death. The sky was red as thunderous storms struck everywhere with no tearful rain. No tears for the world but rather the damnation upon everything, as here lies a place that faces near destruction. Even in such a state for this world, everything is like a forest fire where here comes the end of it all. Little activity cannot be seen upon this place, except one thing. Rather one person.
Shinji Ikari. The young teen who right now is fleeing through the opening plains as upon his condition, he doesn't look fine by his state. Scratches and torn plugsuit with minor injuries around his body, as limping with all his strength. Running through as he passes the remains of EVA Unit 02 and a large vessel. EVA Unit 02 missing its head, chest bursted, and both arms burned off. Even that large vessel destroyed by something as shattered parts were scattered when it crash landed. No crew were sighted as it seems that no one survived on that ship. Where Shinji didn't stop but kept on limping and did not look back meanwhile a golden light approached toward Shinji. Fear on his face as he was running away from something without anything to help him. Running faster, defending himself, or getting help from someone, but all he has is nothing right now. The Golden Light is not natural, in this time being, as it's not the sun that shines the red sky.
He looked back, as it was the moment when time stood still and a slow dread approached him. He sees its jaws and it was the last time before he can do anything to avoid it as the only thing he can do is scream. Then everything turns to black.

Shinji woke up out of his nightmare and breathed heavily as it was morning while rubbing his eyes. Walking to the bathroom, Shinji was washing his face as much, what he recollected about his dream, unsure how to describe it. Feels like he was there but wasn't, and feels like something is telling him. A warning? Then a knock came as this interrupts his thought and a voice can be heard.
"Hey! Are you done? I need to take a shower." Asuka shouted with another knock.
"Okay, I'll be out soon."
"Don't take too long."
Minutes later, Misato gets dressed-up for work when she informs the two about yesterday's events and finding their mystery attacker.
"So, you two have to come because we are planning and strategizing to track our target." Misato explains as both Asuka and Shinji ready themselves for today, "Rei and Mari will come as well."
"Ugh! Are we going to find the red monster?" Asuka annoyed and disgusted about it as she recalls the fight, "We better have a way to kill it."
"Unlikely," Misato answered as this changed things for the two pilots where Asuka's demeanor changed, "We are finding a target with unknown properties and likely relates to the red monster."
"Like the red monster?" Shinji answered as Misato shook her head.
Misato explained,"No, rather we're likely facing a threat that is not an Angel or that red monster. But it is something else entirely and judging by recent details. We are facing a threat much worse than the red monster."
Later on, they left the apartment and headed straight to NERV HQ meanwhile Mari pounders about her radio and why it played music as she went to NERV HQ, the same for Rei.
While heading to NERV, Misato's car is… fine because both Shinji and Asuka are unsure about her car driving to Geo-front while for Misato… uh… have the car problem resolved. She smiles and nevermind the current state of her blue car. Duct taping the damages at the trunk of her car but in further observation. Anyone can say her car is… NOT FINE…
Twenty minutes ago, Shinji and Asuka were leaving the apartment and saw the state of her car as their expression can say that it's shabby. Misato gave a look that says "This is fine" while giving a smile as she gave a pat on the duct taped back bumper that connects to the trunk. With a thud, the back bumper dropped to the ground, with such a quick reaction she fixed it and applied more tape.
"Oh! It's fine," Misato said with a smirk.
"Uh…" Both Shinji and Asuka look at each other because her car has a hole in its roof and pretty sure the car is gonna lose its back bumper.
Meanwhile far away, the mystery figure using binoculars as he watches them, was dumbfounded at her car as he said to himself?
"Uh… yeah um it's not fine,'' the mystery figure spoke when a loud noise could be heard. Coming from his earpiece as he presses the device on his ear while listening in his earpiece as the who behind the coms is kinda having an argument.
"Uh huh."
"I mean, you should consider getting a car insurance and-"
"Oh?...oh!"
"Okay! Sorry! I know, I should look at myself and everyone. I mean it's just looking at a reflection of everything that happened once but differently. And seeing this kinda brings back the old days. The moments when we're living together and memories."
"Hmm!... Understood… Misato," the person ended his conversation with his earpiece, as soon he leaves the spot and looks back when the sun unveils…. An older Shinji Ikari, with a small scar on his cheek and a pony tail hairstyle like Ryoji Kaji.

NERV HQ - 8:30 am (6/2/2015)
Gendo was sitting at his office when Fuyutsuki stepped in and inform of the status with Unit 4. Both men are acknowledging the incident of Unit 04, and even this changes the Human Instrumentality.
"The site where the facility holds Unit 04, was a failure. NERV 2nd Branch disappeared and everything else in 89 kilometer radius. The S² Engine failed upon activation," Fuyutsuki detailing the incident in Nevada.
Gendo was thinking and collecting all the information that he heard. Seems like the testing with S² Engine was a failure and a loss of a Eva. A resolution to handle this problem, as same for SEELE. Then, Gendo broke his silence as he asked Fuyutsuki.
"The meteorite we found at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. What of it?" Gendo asked Fuyutsuki, as his facial expression seemed fascinated about the space rock.
"It seems its origins remain a mystery, and yet it shares potential. It's a possible energy source for Eva units. It generates anything beyond our standards. SEELE is interested in its potential and usefulness."
Hours ago, Misato heard about the incident that happened in Nevada. "Disappeared!" Misato says in shock while still in her apartment. Hearing about NERV's facility disappeared for unknown reasons as this was recent news for her while strategizing a plan to track their target.

Nevada - "ERROR" ("ERROR")
Evey personnel in 2nd Branch, all alive and unsure of the situation when all of them saw Unit 04.
It was in shambles with a large hole, likely caused by the S² Engine. But the most and strangest thing about it. The strangest of all, is how they managed to survive. Even the whole structure remains intact.
"How are we alive?" NERV's scientist questions, when the technicians try to make contact with the outside world.
"Anything?" The commander of the facility, while ordering one of the technicians.
"Nothing, sir. We are unable to reach out to the outside," Technician personnel answered to his Commander. The looks of his face express confusion of how this happened and recalculating with the experiment.
"Boom!"
When suddenly, the whole room shook with many pauses and felt it. Faint booming was coming from the wall behind the shambled Eva.
"BOOM"
Then, a large crack on the wall of the facility, when it bursts open as golden light flashes the room. It was so bright that it blinded them while Unit 04 was… what can say, was consumed by the golden light.

Some of the Scientists were crushed by the debris as the rest were alive. Not for long, when a large head… no… three heads appeared as this caused panic. Many personnels ran as they tried to escape when it started to attack. One of the heads fire yellow beams and strike many lives that includes the Commander, Technician, Staff, and Security of the facility. While it consumes those who weren't caught in its beam, within hours the whole place was falling while the Unit 04 was consumed by the being.
"What's that!"
"RUN! Everyone runs!"
"Aaaaahhh!"
All the personnel were dead except one who managed to survive and headed outside. He stops and his face is shocked to see what is in front of him. Could say that he was lucky to escape but not really as having no idea where the facility is. Even when. Standing on the crimson grounds or is it? He looked at the ground as if it wasn't the ground he knew rather it's shifting like it's glitching between. But when he look up and stare at

The large buildings are in ruins and everything is in disorder as it glitches between God knows what. Even more, large beings that caught his eye from Dead Angels and Eva Units, torn apart.
"What the HELL!"
Before he could do anything, the thing that attacked the facility appeared. He turned but was too late when the only thing he saw was its jaws. He tried to run but was too late as the creature consumed him whole as it flew to the skies. His reign. His prison. His world.

NERV HQ - 10:45 am (6/2/2015)
Misato and Ritsuko were having a conversation about yesterday and theories of the mystery attacker. The many ideas or theories go from least to great chances. The best fits the puzzle and think up a plan to stop it.
One theory is that the attacker was an Angel but it was least likely because it attacked the other angels or attacks on the town and ships. Even the thought of the remain gives them some questions but now thinking about the current matter. So it least fits the pieces and explains the factor.
Second theory is an experiment gone wrong because it has something to do with traces of radiation. Likely a weapon that was built efficiently and deadly similar to a Eva Unit. It could even be like Jet Alone but advance with a built in ray beam. But the downside is the tracks at the island's town proved something else. So much organic, more animalistic because those tracks can prove something big but not nonorganic. Testing soil samples has shown saltwater and other traces that match a living being rather than a robot. It's mid at best that fits the theory but didn't fill the answer.
The Third theory is something to do with this "Godzilla" because after looking into the name, Ritsuko's researching with the help from Maya. Misato listens to her friend's findings and must be surprised about "Godzilla". Ritsuko's research about the name regards its story or some history about superstition after the atomic bombing. A superstition that was built on fear… fear of destruction by nuclear weapons.
"Godzilla is some kind of superstition that details about foretold or omen against nature. The whole story was from 61 years ago, as the state of Japan was recovering after WWII. That's when rumors among the residents started to create stories for their children as a way to cope or gain some understanding with an idea that a terrible ghost appears upon the city. But it seems unlikely because it's either a village tale or fisherman story that has been told through the generations. It varies in every tale during the research. Maya finds the sources to this 'Godzilla' tale resonate to one place, that coming from an island where the name of the 'Godzilla' came to be," Ritsuko explained her search as Misato raised her eyebrow.
"Superstition? What does 'Godzilla' mean?" Misato questioned.
"It's a fairy tale that tells a story to anyone from visitors or even children. Nothing at all, and where 'Godzilla' is not part of our Japanese languages. No translation of 'Godzilla' through the languages that are German, China, or any cultures that define its meaning. It's like it never meant to be or ever at all existed."
"Hmm… but why does it matter right now or how does it relate to the town, the missing ships, or the destroyed submarine? Or the relation with the dead Angels? The red monster? Should the monster be 'Godzilla'? Because it should be, right?" Misato wonders as Ritsuko disagrees with her.
"Like I said before, the thing we encountered wasn't Godzilla and its features were unlikely due to the data. It appears the creature is not aquatic, rather a being that evolved underground," Ritsuko answered and corrected her friend, "The creature is called Baragon."
Misato was surprised, "Baragon?"
"Yes, the creature is identified to be Baragon. During our find, the description matches to a Japan's legends dating back to ancient Japan," Ritsuko continued as Mistato listened in, "Baragon, an ancient species that evolved from the prehistoric times but evolved to adaptations after some extinction event. Either it was the KT extinction or the End of the Permian. But right now we should go back to the topic. The information about 'Godzilla' has no details or pictures of it. Just details of superstition or being a tale for locals and children."
Misato paused without any words to say as she continued to think, "..."
Within minutes, the Eva pilots meet with them as Mari, Rei, Asuka, and Shinji enter the room where Misato and Ritsuko were in. Quickly the two explain their theories and information that they gathered.
Shinji said, "So… the thing we fought was a prehistoric animal."
Asuka secondly replies, "Ich kann es nicht glauben(I can't believe it). A living fossil cannot be equal to our strengths. It's impossible!"
"Unlikely, creature has shown to be armored but cannot hold out during out attacks," Rei calmly said as she pointed out the following data, "The following attacks has caused its stamina to decrease, which slowed but shows minor damages. The following combat data shows when pilot Shinji managed to cut the creature's neck."
Mari deduces, "A gap or weaker part of the body. The back and head were likely the strongest, where the stomach is possible but unlikely."
"Major. Doctor." Rei addressed her superiors with respect.
"Rei, I told you to call me Misato when we're not in battle," Misato said to Rei as she honestly is not a fan of being constantly addressed as a military type.
"Understood, Ma-Misato," Rei corrected as she felt right to address her and continued, "Do we know what the target be?"
"With minimum details we gather," Misato answers Rei's question, "We are likely facing something that's attacking both humans and angels, which is obviously something we must take care of."
"How?" Shinji pounders as Ritsuko steps in and addresses the matter.
"The repairs of the EVA units are nearly done and are under maintenance for the time being," Ritsuko informs them and gives the update, "The estimation to be one or two days for all Eva Units to be functional."
Misato spoke after Ritsuko, "Right now, we're setting strategies to hunt this thing down before it could do more harm."
"The location of the creature remains unknown but we're pinpointing the following locations that this thing left behind," Ritsuko informs the pilots, of the location where it resides, "Even the direction where it came from or prediction to where it's headed. Even the samples-"
Before she can explain, Makoro opens the door with a look of fear and shock as everyone in the room looks at him. "You guys need to see this!" Makoro shouted and he gestured to them to follow as everyone in the room left, "Something is happening in the News."
Everyone came to look at the television with the news cameraman capturing the answer and the final puzzle. Their expressions change for everyone in the room, as they can't look away.
"My God," Misato was shocked as her eyes widened in sudden dread. Shinji, Rei, and Asuka felt fear and scared when the sounds of screams came from the television. Maya, Shigeru, and Makoto look on, meanwhile Gendo and Fuyutsuki catch news of it as they both watch. Every NERV personnels in the cafeteria within Geo-Front, carrying a tablet, looking at their phones, and watching the television.
The screaming and shouting come from every screen as it is broadcasting worldwide, where it is not just NERV. Homes, schools, works, and even the government. The news captured the scene of the formidable and the horror appearing.
"Run!"
"What's going on!"
The female news report focused on the camera as she explained among the fleeing crows, "In just in, a giant monster appeared from the sea and entered the canal. It destroyed two of the Tokai-02 bridges. It's heading toward us!"
The camera shows three rows of white maple leaf shaped objects and its cutting through the water surface. Slicing through multiple bridges while swimming the large canal as cars that either wrecked, scrap, or fell into the salty waters. Leaving broken concrete as it heads towards the news reporter and cameraman.
When the water began to swell as well as the white bony objects to raise and it shot up out of the water!
Only seeing the shadowy silhouette as it reached above them where both reporter and cameraman stood still. In utter instinct to freeze as they look up at the giant monster, with a loud growl.
"SKREEONGK!"

Tokai-02 (Tokai Bay) - 30 minutes ago (6/2/2015)
The city of Tokai-02, a new city of Japan that has been expanding for years, where new development energy rises, and here the city goes beyond anything. Reaching to the seas were built in floating sectors of the city. Some say Tokai-02, the city of the Energy, Beach city literally, or Aquapolis. Tokai-02's energies from nuclear, hydro, electrical, and light energy mean an efficient way to adapt the aftermath of the Second Impact.
The floating cities were powered by hydro energy, as this extends the principles of human designs and genus. Even bridging over the shores that connect to the floating cities and the mainland which is Tokai-02.
"This evening, everyone on Tokai-02 is celebrating the construction of the new humanitarian center on the second island. Here," the female reporter turns to look at a large fancy building that looks futuristic, "Red Oceania Center."
Miles away from the Tokai-02, among the red sea as a dark shadow emerges and heads toward the city. Bright blue light can be seen as onlookers near to the city's shores, notice the lights.

When the water swelling up as slowly rises up then white maple leaf shape spikes emerge as people begin to point and panic. Godzilla has arrived as he swam to the entrance of the canal with Tokai-02's water bridges in its way. Cutting through the water as Godzilla's speed increased as it was fast and faster than the human's reaction. Leaving waves that cause floods on the banks of the city.
"AaahhhHHH!"
"Look out!"
"AAAAAaaaaHHHH!"
The female reporter heard the screams as she pointed the direction for the cameraman to see people fleeing and crashing noises coming from the bridge. Shouting and screaming could be heard from this distance as women, men, and children were running. Standing there, the female reporter and cameraman captured the scene.
"Let's go! We need to go!"
"What's going on! Are we under attack!"
"What is it?"
"I don't know! Something big!"
"Help!"
"What the HELL is that!"
Screams of pedestrians who were on the bridges, began to flee and run to each side while drivers were last to either getting out of their cars or driving across the bridge at great speed. Causing cars to crash into vehicles, or accidentally run overing innocent people. But all that matters little when Godzilla's dorsal fins splice through the bridge then the next as large waves of the red water splash on the concrete or the people. Moving at great speed as Godzilla was merciless while the reporter and cameraman continued to look at the chaos around them. Reaching to a full stop, he rises from the canal as Godzilla raises his arms, crossing them over its chest, and unleashes a roar that strikes fear.
"SKREEONGK!"
Causing glass to shatter, which includes the Cameraman's lens to crack, and having people to cover their ears. Godzilla begins to leave the canal as this sets the female reporter and Cameraman to move.
"Hey! We need to get out of here!"
But they were too late as Godzilla crushed them as they were unfortunate. Godzilla continues to march through the city as crowds of people run through the streets. Buildings toppled over, the grounds broken by Godzilla steps, and smashed vehicles flying. Godzilla began to destroy buildings as some fell upon the fleeing crowds.
"SSSKREEEOOONK!"

Reaching to opening streets, large crowds ran as Godzilla turned toward the opening and stomped on the ground as it sent some flying. Then, Godzilla spun his tail as it hit buildings and the crowd by his tail.

Without words, Misato stares in horror as she sees the people, buildings, and carnage that this creature is doing. Feeling the fear and screams of the people like letting them die while having no power, no action, and no Eva to stop this monster. Only just watching the news as they capture everything that's happening right now when she knows from experiences of lives are at stake here. Leaving devastation by this monster, when Misato notices that among the crowd as she sees something that triggers her. A young girl among the crowds, was crying as she begged for her mother or father while holding her teddy bear. She tries to look away but she can't, as if never looking away and her memories surfacing up. Breathing heavily and her chest tighten as her hand grip tight on her chest like she's having a heart attack. Widen eyes as memories flashed before her eyes, at the Antarctic, her father, and the Second Impact.
Shinji shares the same emotion as he watches in absolute horror and can't comprehend the destruction that's happening in the news. Asuka looks on, seeing how a monster that size causes this horrific act towards humanity. Rei felt fear as her arms trembled at the sight at it whereas Mari starred as the TV's screen obscured her lens like not letting anyone see her eyes. But behind those glasses, the seriousness toward the matter has brought factors to a new direction as this is something unexpected for her.

All of them were watching it as they saw the monster attacking Tokai-02 in the news. The monster's appearance looks like a dinosaur while having charcoal gray skin, rough crocodile-like skin, even seeing large spikes on each elbow, and even monstrous fangs. Even Shinji and Misato saw the eyes of the monster, and it frightened them further because it has pale white eyes like seeing a soulless being. Never shown fear or any kind of emotion by its eyes as Ritsuko can't describe by words.
"It has no sight? It's blind, right," Asuka spoke out of the silence but deep down she couldn't shake away the fear of how unnatural this monster is.
When Godzilla makes a turn and plows through a couple buildings. Even stomping on vehicles when Godzilla picked up a bus and threw it at the train tracks. The thrown bus landed while a train was heading towards it. Misato couldn't bear to see the collision but felt relief that the train halted at a full stop. Then the screen shows Godzilla heading toward the stopped train as it is unlikely that he's blind.
"No it's not blind, Princess. It's fully aware and it means that the dinosaur could see well," Mari observiving Godzilla, as this caught her interest of how this monster is able to see when having no pupils.
"SKKREEEOOONNNGGK!"
Godzilla bites onto the rail car of the train as every passenger inside was helpless when they're on his jaws. Lifting the rail car with his mouth, and thresh both ways when he let go. Sending multiple rail cars flying and landing at multiple buildings that either got impaled, smashed then fell, or caused parts along the rail car drop. Buried many people underneath metal, bricks, concrete, glass, or wood. Godzilla heads through and passes the canal to the other second island city. With the first being destroyed and the second being the next, as Godzilla marches on.

F.C.C HQ - 10:55 am (6/2/2015)
Every officials of Japan gathers at the conference room and watches the carnage as many staff in the main or other parts of HQ. Having the evacuation of Tokai-02, sending the JSSDF with heavy weaponry, and recording data. With the conference room next to the main base of operation as every chatter from the staff and officials.
"My God! He's bigger than before!"
"Yes, it is likely because he's been exposed to modern radiation. It's natural for him to reach this size."
"Must have fed off the radiation from the sub and Tokyo!"
"Godzilla is reborn once again."
"Squadron 221st and 35th are heading towards Tokai-02."
"This time brings vendetta against humanity."
"Reaching at 90 meters in height, and 180 meters long."
As amongst the mayhem, Katagiri led every staff with orders from sending JSSDF forces from tanks to aircrafts to stop Godzilla. Even F.C.C operators began to type and calculated strategies to deal with Japan's past. "You! Have a full evacuation of the city, immediately!" Katagiri orders one of them with stern and serious words, "You! Have the JSSDF force flank behind Godzilla. Aim at the back or head!"
Katagiri added, "For air support, attack Godzilla in all directions and lead him away from the factories. He will likely target those."
One female staff member came up to him, "Sir, the use of N² is not yet granted. Still progressing the admission to use N² against Godzilla. We have to wait for confirmation."
"Hmm… Damm, have the factories shut down."
"But what if there's no one in them, Sir?"
"If so, have the JSSDF soldiers in each factory location at the spot."

Godzilla continues his rampage through Tokai-02 as numerous buildings are in ruin and leaving a path of destruction. One of Tokai-02's island city was slowly flooded with crumbling skyscrapers onto another skyscraper as both landed on the canal. Even buildings like skyscrapers were taller than Godzilla as must have passed for the King of the Monsters. The people have forgotten the monster of Japan's past and now here he is. Destroying Tokai-02 as Godzilla continued to head toward one of the city's energy sources as amongst the section of the city, people who were unable to leave or evacuated away from Godzilla's rampage. At the city square, more than 119,450 people are running when Godzilla appears in front of them as this causes them to change direction. Godzilla didn't care about the human lives in this city as he went when suddenly…

Boom!
A JSSDF tank fired at the back of Godzilla's head and it bounced off his back head as this made Godzilla stop moving. Then a barrage of Anti-tank missiles, 30 mm caliber, missiles, and explosive rounds, coming from every military vehicle. This caused everyone at city square to stop and look as they only saw the big dust cloud. It was so dense that no one knows if the thing is dead or not?
JSSDF tank operator smirks, "Got you! You bastard!"

Every different news reporter with their cameraman, who captured all this, stared quietly as the dust cloud was massive that it cannot see at this high, even the same for the news helicopter. Everyone at Geo-front remains quiet, as same for F.C.C, with the whole world watching.
"Is it over?" Misato breaks the silence.
Within moments that last a minute, Shinji notices something, "Hey do you guys see that?"

"What is that?" Asuka notices it.
Back to the city, in the large dust cloud where Godzilla stood, with many onlookers seeing bright blue lights. The light began to glow brighter when white sparks followed like it was conducting a powerful electric charge where the light trailing up while a loud static hum could be heard.
Godzilla emerges from the dust cloud as this shocks everyone when seeing Godzilla glowing, even its eyes glowing differently. Fully exposed, Godzilla looked at the squadron that shot him and was quite foolish for them to attack him. Even the forces were unable to cause any harm to Godzilla, even the heaviest calibers from their arsenals.
"SKREEEEOOOONNNNNK!"
Godzilla opens his mouth as his mouth glowing bright blue as swirling light when he inhales the air. Misato, Ritsuko, Rei, Shinji, Asuka, Mari, and the other three were in awe at its appearance. Even the threats they face, this one is something more and even more dangerous than the monster they fought.
"It's glowing? The dinosaur glowing?" Maya seeing Godzilla's strange look, "I don't get it?"
"Bioluminescent?" Ritsuko pounder, while watching the sudden scene on the television.
Then, it happened, in that instant a massive beam of blue flaming energy came from Godzilla as the beam headed toward the group JSSDF tanks.

200 miles away, a classroom full of children began to pack their personal items when their homeroom teacher asked the class for the procedure of the disaster.
"Okay, everyone. We need to evacuate the school. Now clear your desks."
"Yes, Miss-"
Before children can reply, a bright light can be seen then a loud boom was heard and shook the entire school. Embrace, everyone held on from the teacher holding on her desk and young students did the same. The classroom's windows cracked but didn't shatter. Everyone looks at the window as the teacher peers through the crack glass. She walked to the window and what she saw, has frighten her.
"Atom Bomb?"
A large mushroom cloud.

Two hours ago, Henry and Helena arrived at Tokai-02 for a summer vacation where they set a romantic trip to Japan. Seeing the landmarks that this city has from the city's two extended islands that stretch greater than the original city. Their honeymoon took them to the central center of the first island city.
"Hahaha, this city is beautiful," Helena smiles, "This part of Toki-02's city is amazing. We can see the ocean from here."
"Yeah it is. I told you that this trip will be the best," Henry answered, "Beside nothing can separate our love."
They both embrace as they begin to leave when an onlooker looks at the sea and notices a bright blue color.
"Hey! You see that!" the man spoke while pointing at the area where the blue lights came from.
"Yeah I see it too. What is that?"
One half hours later, everyone was running as crowds were overlapping one on each other where the lovers were close as Henry held her hand. Never letting go, both of them match their speed with the crowd and can't find any route where it could be easier for them to find. They heard the screams from the people as the crowds ranged from thousands and thousands.
"What is it?"
"I don't know! Something big!"
Henry and Helena were at the city square as much to their dismay due to what was happening to the city. When it looks like another runs through the waves of people, a building collapses in front of everyone. Seeing the people in front crushed by rubble and debris when it emerges. Shock and scared senseless at what they are witnessing.
Henry's eye sees a giant dinosaur with large white spines on its back as Helena holds close to him. The crowds turn around as both lovers look at the monster before turning away while Godzilla's footsteps shaken the ground and was moving toward the crowds. Just then, the sounds of military fire had everyone stop and saw a barrage of attacks impact onto Godzilla. Henry and Helena watch on and see the force halting their attack. Seeing a large dust cloud, everything looks quiet and fine for the moment. Just nothing, when one person spoke out in a crowd and this caught everyone's attraction.
"Hey! Look!" the man pointing at the lower part of the dust cloud. Blue bright lights then a white sparks appear like a thunderstorm when Godzilla emerges. Everyone, including the lovers, were awed and frightened at what they're seeing when it happened. In an instant, Godzilla fired its atomic breath at the squadrons whereas the crowd broke free from their frozen stance and started to run.
It was bright as a sudden force of blast sent the whole sector of the city in ruins and shambles. Blasting winds sent people flying along the debris and rubble. God knows, when those debris from metal, glass, and concrete were going in one instant, a guy was impaled by a rebar or rammed by large objects.
Henry holds on to Helena as he tries to pull her to safety, "Helena! Hold on! Argh!"
"Henry!" Helena cries for his name as she tries to hold him when she notices that her lover is slowly losing his grip, "Henry! You're slipping! You gotta let go! Or else we both-"
"NO! Helena, god I won't let you go!"

Then it was too late, both Henry and Helena were sent flying while Henry was still holding her hand. All he can hear is the blasting wind of debris. Within minutes, everything was in flames and the sky rained down ashes to Tokai-02. Standing or not, buildings were disarray and windows shattered by the blast. Both tanks and helicopters were charred and melted, where the soldiers inside weren't there. Only leaving nuclear shadows of the JSSDF soldiers meanwhile the crowds who are either dead or alive in the aftermath.
Even amongst those who are alive, Henry was laying on the ground as he opened his eyes. Dizzy, everything around him was a blur and hearing the ringing noise in his ears. Coughing off, Henry calls Helena as she never answered.
"Helena?!" Henry emerged and weakly spoke for his girlfriend, "Helena!"
Henry suffers scratches and cuts while he still held on to her hand. But she never responds as he tries to call her when he tries and tries. Before finding the terrible reality, Henry looks at her hand and spots the thing he would never recover. Henry, overcoming the dizziness, found what's left of his girlfriend. The hand of his girlfriend as the rest of her is gone as Henry began to sorrow over her death.
"Helena! Helena!" Henry's lowing cries grew louder after seeing the horrible aftermath, "HELENAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
"HEELENNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Henry loudly cries up in the sky while the ashes fall.
Godzilla standing where he was, unscathed and unmoved as he stared at a large mushroom cloud. Tokai-02's second city island started to sink as seawater started to sweep over the city's grounds as it filled the tunnels or streets. Even the matters where this city island slowly shares the same fate as cracking buildings reacted to the flood. Godzilla unleashes a fierce and powerful roar, toward the sky.
"SSSSSKKRROOOOOOOOOOONNK!"
Godzilla started to move and headed towards the mainland, to Tokai-02 as he headed toward the nuclear plants for feeding.

Asuka couldn't say anything about what she saw and the raw power that this monster has done to that city. How many lives were killed and seeing Tokai-02's city islands sinking down into the red ocean. Unknownst to herself, her left-hand was shaking as fear or anger was the only thing that she felt.
Rei felt scared for the first time as clutch her hands tight and could not think of the lives on those island cities. Even frightened by this creature's raw power like god has incarnated itself and brought judgment upon the living.
Both Ritsuko and Misato, seeing this raw power of the monster, has set a course that will change for this organization. Through every gathered detail that they find, they conclude that this thing must be stopped. Now seeing what this monster can do from its attacks and abilities, Ritsuko deduces that this thing is likely their mysterious attacker.
"What is that thing?" Misato asked a question as soon as Ritsuko gave the answers.
"The monster that is attacking Tokai-02, seems to be our target and express some kind of energy discharge when its dorsal spine glowed," Ritsuko telling her deduction to everyone in the room, "It must have durable armor and by judging on the JSSDF artillery has no effect. Possible that that creature could rival the Eva Units."
"Rival with the Eva Units?" Misato was surprised by her words.
"I can't be! It's impossible because there's no way that this thing could be invincible," Asuka barked with the idea that this monster can rival the power of a Eva Unit. Even both Ritsuko and Misato know from past battles, even defeating angels with powers that are greater chances. Chance of such Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and the Seventh were defeated by the Eva Units as were times that lead to the worst times. Times it faltered to chances they were able to fight to win and save the day from certain destruction. Even the day that Baragon appeared, as held on against the red monster with all the Eva units.
Misato is full of confidence, "Likely, I believe that we can stop it and prevent it from attacking anyone else. Whatever this thing is? We can kill it."
"The chances of the Eva Units to fight this monster are likely small, and the matters for the current status," Ritsuko calculates the possible outcomes.
"Right now, the full repair of the three Eva Units reach 90 percent and are being reinforced with BR-type equipment," Maya informed the status of the Evas.
BR-Type equipment is a prototype gear that reinforces 20 percent of heat-resistance, water-resistance, and radiation resistance armor that was developed by Ritsuko, with the final touches, and NERV from U.S. and German Branch. These equipment are an upgrade to the armor and give stronger gear. Still flexible and extra power for the three units but even if it offers little protection. It gives time for the pilots to stand a chance in combat. Most of the armor reinforces the chest cavity, arms, and legs.
Gendo sees the sheer power of the monster as he grinds his teeth and clutching his fist toward the monster as this would upset his plans. Not dealing with another monster that would halt his plans, would deter NERV's goals. Even what SEELE would say or act towards the matter like this. Would change everything from what was told in the dead scrolls, it never tells of this creature. What is this thing?
In the council, all SEELE members, including Kaworu, overhear the news of Godzilla as seeing Godzilla's attack on the city and express such power. This sets a divergence between members, except Kaworu who is observing Godzilla and saying no words, from fearing the monster or having confidences on killing it.
"This changes everything! This isn't part of the Dead Sea Scrolls!" SEELE 02 shock about the monster.
SEELE 03 dumbfounded, "This thing! This Monster! It can't be impossible! "
SEELE 04 spoke, "We must resolve this problem!"
"Indeed. We must make haste of our goal for Human Instrumentality!" SEELE 06 spoke but one of the members replied.
"Impossible, unlikely due to a new factor that is brought upon us. This…this monstrosity would be an obstacle because it is likely related to cause from NERV's data. If this thing was responsible, then we must act! We must not let this creature be alive!"
The SEELE council were arguing about this monster problem, while Kaworu was fascinated at this being. Judging by his expression on his face says something that is new that he has never ever seen.
"This is interesting. In many years of life, this is different and unexpected," Kaworu said while looking at the King of the Monster, "A new factor that is or not of this world as such divine is brought. The being is never born from the Mother of us all."
Kaworu sees for the first time that there's something different over the cycles that, amazingly, he feels unsure of what he can do or knowledge about this being. The SEELE council finds this situation will be longer than they expected due to this monster. Knowing such power that this thing is, they decided to prepare the construction of Unit 6 and would likely wait for their plans. Even Chairman Lorenz Keel aka SEELE 01 understands the risk and caution that they're taking, whereas deep down he has doubts about the Dead Sea Scrolls. Dreading that things has stray away from Human Instrumentality and must be corrected right away. Soon, the council ended where Kaworu was still on the moon as look at Earth.
"Shinji. I will make you find True Happiness."

Largest flames raged across the city, as crumbling streets with the sky turned black where it became the night. The smell of burning buildings from houses, apartments, and corporate structures, as black smoke filled the sky like it was entering the darkest hour.

Amongst the burning city, the King of the Monster marched through the streets, even passing through buildings without any care, as the military continued their attack against the monster. Godzilla's durable skin is unfazed by their attacks as he begins to charge when dorsal fins glow blue, and white starks flashes after. Godzilla turns at a building, taller than him and reaching at 300 meters, with open maw as swirling blue lights of his Atomic breath. Fired as the building went through, causing a large hole of crumbling concrete and the melting metal and glass.
"SKRREEEEEOOOONK!"
Even the unevacuated people were unable to escape where this is the infernal nightmare as many endure the burns and inhaling the deathly air. Even the building with the big hole began to crumble and toppling over like cutting down a tree. Except this tree is too tall, as it fell toward a habitable area, and that habitable area is where the people are. Screaming, they ran as fast as they could but the skyscraper was too long when it hit the ground. Large and insane dust clouds spread through sections from streets to alleyways where families, children, teens, elders, and the homeless were helpless. It was so great that they were trapped in a fog of dust and dirt while Godzilla continued his rampage through Tokai-02.
Leaving 60 percent of Tokai-02 in ruins as the island city fully sank to the bottom of the red sea and just leaving the remaining buildings. Leaving the ruined structure as some kind of reminder of the once was or what it was. Even the people on those island cities were unfortunate because limited rescue teams outmatched the challenges they're facing when people are drowning. They begged to be rescued and wanted to live but they tried.
"SKREEEONGK!"
Spotting the city's power station, Godzilla marched forward and decimated the electric cables as the power station's structures collapsed. Smashing and stepping on the towers and servers of the power station as the sounds of explosions. Sensing the dissipating energy that this station generates, is the amount of electric energy slowly failing and leaving Godzilla to change direction.
"Gyaoon!"
Heading to Tokai-02's nuclear plant, Godzilla senses the energy it generates has caught its attention and causes more destruction upon more buildings and deaths. The screams of the people were numerous like the choir upon the stand except they're not singing. Vehicles trashed by the falling objects or being destroyed by Godzilla. Where Godzilla was near to the Nuclear Plant, as back to NERV HQ where Misato was still watching the news. She sees that Godzilla was about to destroy the Nuclear plant and feared that this thing would unleash nuclear radiation upon the city as it would leave lives to be exposed. Ritsuko and Misato expected the terrible and horrific outcome if the nuclear plant was destroyed but the unexpected happened.
Godzilla reached the nuclear plant, started to ravage through and took out the core of the nuclear plant. When he held it as his dorsal plates glowed and flashes as he begins to feed. The military stopped attacking because of the fear of hitting the nuclear core, and would cause a massive leak of radiation if the core was shot or damaged.
Within minutes, he stops feeding as he drops it and heads towards the sea. Instead of going back to the path he made, Godzilla went to the last section of Tokai-02 and it's the remaining buildings at its mercy. For the people, one JSSDF tank was firing at Godzilla and charging toward him, with such courage that he do not care if he's deadman. Firing in front of the King of the Monsters as the operator battlecry of his last attempt on stopping Godzilla.
"AAAAAHHHHHH! DIE! YOU SON OF A-" The screaming JSSDF tank operator was staring at Godzilla as Godzilla was in front of him. But he was cut off when Godzilla was unfazed by his action and stepped on the tank. Crushing the tank operator like it was nothing to Godzilla and heading to the red shores to the sea.
"SKREEOONK!"

Godzilla unleashed his last roar at Tokai-02, and departed to the sea while leaving the destruction he made. Black smoke remains to the point the sky starts to rain but it's not normal rain that calms the flames. Rather it's the ashes of the city that rain upon the people of Tokai-02 as they bathe in it.
Firefighter, rescue team, police officers, and JSSDF soldiers endure it as they escorted survivors after Godzilla's attack. Hours and hours, the news either by reporters or helicopters.

In the following aftermath of the Tokai-02, news reports of the incident stated the damaged properties ranged from one or two millions of dollars per building. Having 90 percent of houses and other buildings destroyed by Godzilla as it left nowhere left of work or home. Even the lives on Tokai-02 goes to the population of 119,450 to 44,450 individuals who are alive or injured as 75,000 deaths.
