She looked up to the surface of the ocean. It was a long way up, but still visible. Various water types sprinkled upon the murky blue above her. She had nothing to fear, not only was she a shark, She was the princess of freaking Atlantis. While no one in Atlantis had ever really done this before, she was not only eager, but determined.

With her thick tail, and dazzling blue eyes full of that classic Atlantian vigor, the curious girl began swim up and up and up. Some of the various water types she had interacted with before, but as she ascended to the ocean surface the more foreign and alien the Pokémon were to her, and likewise the her with the Pokémon. Eventually, she reached the surface. The sun almost blinded the poor girl. Sure, she had occasionally seen the sunlight reflecting to the ocean below on various expeditions with her father or field trips at the Atlantian Academy, but never had she seen it this close before, it was like a massive bulb of light burning itself directly into her retinas. The Shark girl closed and rubbed her eyes, and despite this rather blazing surprise, she continued forward and swam. The bright beam in the sky shown its powerful light onto the ocean surface, making a dazzling show of beautiful sparkles, which amazed the deep-sea atlantian.

After what felt like a week, but was more likely a day and a half, she finally found land. She had seen other, smaller islands, sure, but they didn't interest her very much. This land was BIG, and I mean BIG. She eagerly swam towards the illustrious island, curious what creatures, both "human" (a species of animal fairly similar to her in terms of physical appearance and phenotype, yet she had only heard stories about them from her parents and members of the Atlantian military) and those mysterious creatures, Pokémon, they were called? That could use various water based attacks and other moves. Finally, the small but courageous shark reached the land. It was a magical site, especially to one who had never seen it previously. Various tall, two legged creatures standing up right littered the warm sand. These creatures looked somewhat similar to her, these must be the "humans" she's heard so much about.

As she approached the sand bar, using her legs to actually walk, not just swim, she slowly exited the water, further exposing her body to the ultraviolet rays. She took notice of something, however. These so called "humans" were all wearing a weird type of "clothing". She had worn robes to special royal parties and other important events, but apart from that she didn't really wear anything. And the humans took notice of her. They all looked at her with varying degrees of confusion. Gura's cheeks flushed a bright red and she started to feel hot. Why was everyone staring? She was royalty, after all, haven't they heard? Even if wearing clothing was the norm she was an exception to the rule. Despite the humans piercing glares and occasional gasps, she walked forward further onto the beach, the soft and warm sand tingling her toes. As she walked, she was approached by one of these "humans" who looked rather intimidating. She was tall and stern, wearing a dark blue attire, a color similar to the murky depths of which she was born and raised in. The women, presumably of authority, removed her black spectacles on her face and spoke to the Atlantian princess: "Excuse me, little girl, why are you walking around her naked? I'm sure there's plenty of creeps that'd like to fish you up!" Gura looked at the blue haired lady with a look of visible confusion, maybe this is how those other humans felt seeing her rise to the surface and stroll on the sand. "U-Uh.." Gura muttered, she could barley get any words out. This is the first time a human had ever spoken to her, and from the looks of her uniform, she was a figure of authority. "Are you lost?" The lady continued "Where are your parents? Come on, let's go to the lifeguard tower, I'm sure we can find your parents. My name is Jenny, come with me" The shark girl stood there, not knowing who this person was or what their intentions were. Daddy had always said to never trust strangers, because "you're a princess, a delicate one at that, who knows what might happen to you" sure, Gura was around 9,000 (last time she checked) but she was rather small and petite, so she exercised caution. Without knowing how to react, the girl quickly darted away. "Hey! Don't be scared little girl, You're not in trouble!" Despite the humans reassurances, Gura ran away from the uniformed lady. She ran and ran, her feet eventually hitting this hot, grayish material pathed out beyond the sand. It burned like hell, my god she had never experienced such a sensation. Irrespective of the burning hot ground below her, she continued to run, eventually finding a little shop with various sea shells and decorations littering the store window. Relived at the site of familiar objects from the deep, Gura ran into the store. She stopped to catch her breathe, heavily panting, with a strange water-like fluid covering her body. It reeked. She was obviously wet upon exiting the ocean, but now she felt wetter than before. "Huh..? What the...?" *as she looked down at her arms and stomach, examining the liquid, she failed to notice the shopkeeper looking at her in utter amazement. In between exhausted breathes, she met eyes with the man, with a look of astonishment on his face.
