WarriorTwin: This was in her personality on her wiki. Chase does prove that he can care for people. Sorry 'bout Scotty.

Mortal01: Ripper and Brick are very different. Gwen doesn't have anyone sick enough to rip off her skirt, Sam is starting to fumble a bit, and Millie's not the type to hate. We had nothing else for Ripper in the future, and him snatching Trent's marshmallow was for the lolz.

Dunsparce519: Exactly. We promise to surprise you.

acosta perez jose ramiro: Pleasure is all ours.

Killer Bass: Damien, Eva, Geoff, Priya, Sam, Scott

Screaming Gophers: Brick, Chase, Gwen, Millie, Sky, Trent

Episode 12: Basic Straining

"Last time, on Total Drama Island! The teams were given three challenges that tested their trust in their teammates."

"The rock-climbing challenge featured more of Eva and Scott's grudge, and Trent got the bad end of a blowfish courtesy of Ripper."

"Millie was put in a position where she had apples shot at her, which ended up being a huge mistake."

"The Gophers lost the challenge, and it was Ripper who was sent packing for his general brutish behavior."

"Stay tuned for the most dramatic bonfire ceremony yet on Total! Drama! Island!"

(Theme Song)

The scene faded in to the outside of the Bass cabin, as Scott and Geoff lounged about on the front steps. The door to the cabin opened and Sam walked out with a tired look on his face.

"Is everything okay, dude?" Geoff asked out of concern.

"To be honest, no," Sam answered. "I'm really starting to miss playing video games."

"Well I miss counting how many cockroaches are in my bedroom, but you don't see me slumping over it," Scott scoffed, and he got silenced by Geoff nudging him.

"It ain't that bad!" Geoff comforted Sam. "Just keep going. After all, we only have a couple of weeks left at camp."

"I'm not going to quit because of this," Sam assured as he went back inside his cabin. "I'm a ten-year pro gamer!"

Confessional: Sam

"I haven't played a video game for who knows how long, but I have to keep fighting my withdrawal for the sake of the team," Sam promised coolly before hollering. "Can someone please send me a game console?"

Confessional Ends

"Listen up, you little cockroaches!" Chef yelled over the loudspeaker, gaining the attention of the campers. "I want all campers to report to the Dock of Shame at 0900 hours!" A zoomed-out shot showed Brick, Gwen, Sky, and Trent listening along with Geoff and Scott, and the campers looked at each other in mild confusion. "That means now, soldiers, NOW!" The campers immediately started to run.

The footage skipped ahead to when the twelve campers had finally assembled on the docks. From left to right stood Priya, Chase, Gwen, Trent, Sky, Damien, Brick, Geoff, Scott, Eva, Millie, and Sam, with Chef at the very end dressed like a drill instructor.

"Line up and stand at attention!" Chef said into a megaphone, pulling out a pointing stick and walking down the line of campers. "You call this proper formation? Feet together!" He smacked Geoff's shins, causing the boy to yelp. "Arms down!" He smacked Sky's crossed arms. "Eyes forward!" Damien immediately turned his head forward. "Head up!" Eva's chin was forced up, and Chef finished by smacking Scott several times to forcibly correct his posture.

"Oh, this is gonna be a fun day," Gwen muttered.

"What did you say to me, soldier?!" Chef yelled through his megaphone at her.

"Um, nothing?" Gwen answered quickly.

"And you will continue to say nothin', until I tell you that you can say somethin'!" Chef told her.

"Today's challenge will not be an easy one," Chef explained as he began to pace back and forth along the dock. "In fact, I do not expect everyone to come out alive."

"Seriously?" Sam asked in a bothered tone, and received a hit in the back of the neck for it. "Sorry. I'll stay quiet."

Chef continued. "My orders are to make sure that all of the babies in front of me drop out of my boot camp except one. The last one standing wins immunity for their team."

"Where is Chris right now?" Trent asked.

"Rule number one!" Chef barked. "You will address me, as Master Chief! Have you got that?"

"Yes Master Chief!" the campers replied in unison.

"You will sleep when I tell you to sleep," Chef continued as he stood in front of Geoff, "and you will eat only when I tell you to eat! Is that clear?"

"Yes Master Chief!" Geoff said.

"Rule number two!" Chef went on. "When you are ready to give up, you will walk to the end of the dock, and ring the bell!" He demonstrated a brass bell hanging from a wooden post. "Which brings me to rule number three! I'd like to get one quitter before the end of the first day, and that day will not end until someone drops out!" He reached the other end of the dock and turned around. "Now get your butts down to the beach, soldiers! NOW, NOW, NOW!" At his command, the campers ran quickly up the dock, many of them screaming.

Confessional: Gwen

Gwen was looking annoyed. "Okay, whoever's sick, twisted idea this was to put him in charge of this challenge, I have to say…" she grew a smile, "I'm a little bit impressed."

Confessional: Brick

"Now this is a type of challenge I can easily dominate in," Brick confessed confidently. "Boot camp has prepared and trained me, and Chef is similar to my past drill sergeants."

Confessionals End

The episode cut back to the teens standing on the beach in front of Chef, a pair of colored canoes, and a single deck chair. "Listen up!" Chef barked. "Each team must hold a canoe over their heads. I catch you taking your hands off the canoe, and you will be eliminated! And no one eats lunch until someone drops out!" The campers looked at each other in dread.

"Canoes up!" Chef commanded, the Bass lifting the red canoe and the Gophers lifting the green one.

"This is easy!" Chase commented.

"Piece of cake!" Geoff agreed.

The footage cut ahead, showing the sun beating down above the campers. Priya moaned in exhaustion, and Gwen's stomach rumbled.

"Come on, you sissies!" Chef mocked from off-screen. "It's only been three hours!"

"Looks like they missed lunch today," Chris said in a close-up.

Chef nodded. "Guess they just weren't hungry! Unless someone wants to quit now?" The camera zoomed out to reveal the two men sitting cross-legged on top of the two canoes; Chris on the Gophers and Chef on the Bass.

Damien's stomach growled, and Eva shot him a threatening glance. "You'd better not think about quitting just cause you're starving!"

The focus cut over to Sam as he groaned. "Need game. Any game!" The gamer looked at his teammates and his surroundings, both of which shifted into pixelated, sprite-like versions of themselves. "What the..." Sam mumbled as he took his hands off the canoe and took off his glasses in order to rub his eyes.

He put his glasses back to his eyes and put his hands back to the canoe just as Chef lowered his head. "Is there a problem down here?!" Chef yelled.

"No..." Sam said quickly.

Night had fallen, and everybody was having trouble staying awake. "Twenty-five of us went to the jungle that night," Chef muttered as he sat by a campfire. "Only five came back out..."

Gwen yawned and asked, "What war were you in anyway?"

"Did I ask you to speak?" Chef yelled at her. "Because I don't remember asking you to speak."

"Whatever," Gwen said to herself. "He so wasn't in a war."

The focus moved to Scott as a sly smile donned on his face. He faked a yawn, then sighed. "I don't wanna do this," he said, stepping out from under the canoe, "but my arms are starting to become numb."

He trudged his way past Chef, who watched him and smirked. "Looks like we got ourselves a quitter!" he squealed.

"Scott, don't!" Priya cried, but it was too late. Scott made it to the end of the dock, and rang the bell with his forehead in order to make everyone believe that he was sleepy. The Bass trembled under the weight they had to hold onto, while the Gophers happily dropped their canoe to the ground.

"Listen here," Chef told Scott. "You have nothin' to be ashamed of." He dropped his "kindness" and took out his megaphone. "Except bein' a little baby that let your team down!" he yelled with enough force to nearly knock the boy over. "As for the rest of you," Chef turned his attention to the other campers, "head to the Mess Hall. Dinner is served!"

"Yes!" Sky sighed in satisfaction.

"Alright maggots, open your ears!" Chef's voice barked over a shot of the dining hall. "You've got ten minutes to eat before night training begins," he said as the camera cut inside and panned over the campers, Chris, and Chef himself, "so get to it!"

Several disbelieving cries cropped up among the campers, upset over having to do night training.

"Um, Master Chief, where's the food?" Damien asked.

Chef was next to four metal trash cans on the floor beside him. "You're looking at it," he chuckled.

Eva removed one of the trash lids. "This is the garbage from today's breakfast," she noted.

"Darn right!" Chef told her. "When you're at war, you take what you can get!"

"Well," Chris said, "I can see you've got this under control. I'm off to Craft Services! Coming?" he asked his coworker.

"Heck yeah. Gotta get me some of that!" Chef said, following the host out of the room.

Gwen's arm was shown rooting around one of the trash cans, and she sighed in disappointment as she withdrew an old banana peel.

"There is absolutely no way I will eat this," Damien complained, throwing down the meal tray he held.

"Tell me about it," Millie said, tossing away her own tray.

"It's not like we have a choice in the matter," Brick said as he walked past with a moldy piece of bread.

"I want to apply to college after high school, and I don't want to get rejected because I ate garbage," Millie protested.

Trent was shown holding a rotten apple in his hand and looking at it in disgust until Geoff sat down next to him. "Sup. How have things been going between you and Sky?"

"We're good, but we haven't got to spend as much time together as before," Trent said.

"You did get injured in the last two challenges," Geoff brought up. "And didn't Sky knock you out during one of them?"

"She did do that, but I failed to catch the crate on time," Trent mentioned.

"So you're not mad at her for that?" Geoff asked.

Trent shook his head. "Sky's a headstrong person, but she's not heartless. She still has to apologize for that."

"Totally true," Geoff nodded.

Sky had finished eating her rotten banana and was facing her cup of kitchen grease. "I've swallowed a butterfly by accident before, and it managed to be tastier than this," she said to herself.

"Can I have that?" Sam asked as he came over to the girl.

"I'm bewildered, but knock yourself out," Sky handed over the cup.

Sam drank the grease whole and threw the cup away. "Now I have more stamina. Thanks Sky."

As Sam strolled away, Sky watched with disgust. "What is going on with him today?"

The scene cut to a close-up of a stereo, a variation of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' playing on it. Chef, standing at the end of a wooden platform, went through a series of dance moves similar to those associated with the song. He shuffled in place and stomped and so on, and the shot cut to Chase's feet as he began to mimic the moves.

The camera soon cut to a group shot, showing the campers positioned on the beach in three rows: Eva, Damien, and Millie on the top; Gwen, Trent, Priya, and Scott in the middle; and Sam, Brick, Sky, Geoff, and Chase on the bottom row closest to the camera. They danced in sync with each other and the music, all in the style associated with the song. Chef was shown again, doing a few more moves which culminated in a series of pelvic thrusts, the camera getting closer with each one, until Chase turned off the stereo and the campers let loose a sigh of relief.

"Chase, what are you doing?" Millie asked.

"This dancing is exhausting. I'm dropping out, so can we stop?" Chase questioned the chief.

"We're done when I say we're done!" Chef barked at him. "Go ring the bell since you want to defy me, quitter!" Chase made his way out. "Anyone else got anything they want to say?"

"Excuse me," Priya raised her hand. "Can I go to the bathroom?"

The shot skipped over to the reality TV fan standing in the bathroom with a mop and bucket, rubber gloves on her hands. "This isn't what I meant..." Priya sighed.

The dining hall was briefly shown from the outside again before the camera cut inside, showing every camper except Scott and Chase sitting at their team's table. "For your next challenge," Chef told them, "you will complete a 300-word essay about how much you love me. Anyone who falls asleep, or fails to complete the challenge, will be eliminated!"

The scene flashed to a close-up of an analog clock, the hands reading approximately 12:55 am. A spider began to spin a web in the corner, and the clocked ticked away until it had reached 3:00 am and a buzzer sounded. Both Brick in the foreground and Eva in the background had deep bags under their eyes, and Sam was giggling to himself as he drooled all over the floor. Damien and Priya were shown barely keeping themselves awake, and Millie frowned as her essay was taken away while she was still writing. Eva kept her usual grim face as Chef picked up her stack of papers.

"I love Master Chief Hatchet," Chef read, voice getting lower with each word, "because he is really really really…really really really really really...really really really...really really..." He scowled at the girl. "This is just one sentence with five pages of "really's" inbetween!"

"It's 300 words," Eva defended, "and you never said that it had to show effort."

Chef continued to read the essays as he walked over and slipped on the puddle of drool Sam made. "Wipe up that drool, you little baby!" he ordered.

"I finished the essay, Chief," Sam giggled in his mental state. "Did I unlock my achievement?"

Chef hardened his gaze at Sam. "Boy, is this a game to you?!"

Sam's viewpoint was shown again, and Chef and the rest of the room had the retro video game style from before. "When's the next level?"

Chef growled and stormed off. He slammed a fist down on the Gophers' table, startling Trent awake. "You two slackers are out," Chef said as the camera showed Millie sleeping as well. "The rest of you, get to bed and report to the playing field at 0500 hours."

"You seem to have a bit of drool on your neck," Damien observed as Chef walked by.

"Boy! Do you want to run fifty laps around this camp right now?!" Chef yelled.

Damien gulped. "No, Master Chief. I'll be off to bed."

"Remember that before you make another comment like that," Eva said to Damien. "You probably won't even make it to thirty laps."

The footage cut to Chef and the remaining eight campers standing next to the edge of a mud pit, with only a few scattered torches to see by. The camera began panning to the right, showing a wooden wall, a pair of hanging ropes with ramps leading to and away, a pair of raised tires, and a pair of large axes hanging upside-down and blade-inward at the end. "You will all run this course," Chef explained, "until you can all complete it in under one minute. Am I making myself clear?" he asked Sam, face-to-face.

"Yes sir!" Sam said, and Chef got out of his face.

"Are you sure you can do this, Sam?" Priya asked with a hand on the gamer's shoulder. "You don't feel so good."

"I'm cool," Sam said. "My goal is to beat the obstacles under the time limit on the first try." Eva and Geoff gave each other concerned looks.

"Go, maggots, go!" Chef shouted at them, and the music picked up as the campers started to run the course. After running across the shallow pool, Gwen was the first up the wall. Damien reached the top but struggled to pull himself over, while Brick made the jump with ease. Further along, Sky was shown diving through the raised tires, while Sam found himself stuck head-first. Geoff and Eva crawled under the axes, and Priya swung across the ropes.

Damien managed to make his way over the wall, but landed face first in the pool. He got onto his hands and knees, and vomited out a stream of mud. "Yo, Master Chief! We have a problem over here!" Geoff called as he came upon that part of the course again and Chef walked over to see what the problem was.

"There's too much mud!" Damien freaked out.

"Ring the bell and report to the infirmary," Chef told Damien, picking him up by the jacket. "Your tour of duty is finished."

Geoff watched as Damien walked off. "You'll be fine, man!"

"Back on the course, soldier, NOW!" Chef commanded, and Geoff started running.

The obstacle course continued with Priya and Sky climbing the wall again; Sky lost her grip and fell backwards off it. Geoff managed to get through a tire, and Gwen tripped onto the mud. Brick looked like a marionette as he got tangled up in the ropes and was hanging upside down, and Eva tried to keep moving under the axes, but eventually got stuck to the mud.

Chef took notice of this however. "Your time in my boot camp is up," he told the muscle woman.

As Eva continued to get out of the mud, Sam crawled past her and bumped into Chef's boots.

"Boss fight already?" Sam woozily got to his feet.

"You better keep moving, dough ball, or you'll drop and give me twenty right now!" Chef ordered.

"Not a chance, Chief!" Sam laughed as the scene became pixelated once again. "Duck!" Sam ducked as Chef tried to grab him. "Duck!" He popped up and quickly ducked again. "Jump!" He jumped when Chef attempted to grab his legs. "Punch!" He threw a punch at Chef, but the man simply deflected it with his hand while growling, causing Sam to gape as the video game style went away and Chef's face turned red in rage.

"I think you may have pushed him over the edge, bro," Geoff told Sam.

"One night solitary confinement," Chef stated in bottled up fury, "in the Boathouse."

Gwen and Brick all gasped from their respective spots along the course. Sam chuckled nervously as Priya and Geoff were looking at him with worry, and he said "That was a mistake."

A large fishing hook gleamed in the first shot of the Boathouse interior, and it was quickly followed by a gleaming shark jaw, and the briefest glimpse of something swimming in a barrel of water. Sam sat alone on a crate amidst the fishing and boating gear, and looked exhausted. "I really went overboard this time," he told himself. His eyes went wide as a wolf howled in the distance.

(Commercial Break)

A bowl of something unidentified but presumably edible was shown as the scene transitioned to the Mess Hall. Geoff and Priya sat at a table poking their meal. "I'm worried about Sam," Geoff said. "He must be pretty hungry out in the boathouse by himself."

"I feel bad for him too," Priya replied. "He did disobey Chef and tried to fight him, which was pretty funny," she giggled a bit, "but he clearly wasn't in the right state of mind."

"I'll go check on him," Geoff grabbed a bowl of gruel. "I have to make sure he doesn't starve."

Confessional: Geoff

"I know gruel is kind of gross, but what else is there left?" Geoff shrugged.

Confessional Ends

Over at the Gophers' table, Millie and Chase were sitting next to each other and eating their gruel. "I can't believe you dropped out on the second challenge," Millie told Chase.

"At least I didn't doze myself off like you did," Chase quipped.

"I'm being serious," Millie scolded. "You can't just ignore the rules just because you want to."

"To tell you the truth, I'm not much of a rule person like you," Chase admitted. "They can be a bit restrictive on your freedom."

"They're meant to be followed, and not following them would've put you in the Boathouse if you moved on in the boot camp challenge," Millie said.

"So you're assuming that I would've ticked off Chef just because I felt like it?" Chase got defensive.

"Kind of," Millie admitted sheepishly. "I don't really know much about your past."

"That's the point. You like to live in a perfect and proper world, and I like my world carefree and fun," Chase said.

"But when we show those off, we don't get to explore our other sides and we just see each other for who we are outside," Millie summarized.

"Correctamundo," Chase grinned. "I have a crazy idea. Let's ignore this slop and get something good to eat."

"I'd disagree with what you just said normally, but after two days of gruel, I'm onboard," Millie said. "Though Chef'll never give it to us."

"That's the thing about you. You overthink," Chase said. "We just have to not ask for it.

"Do you have any food?" Millie asked.

"No, but I do know where to find it, and it involves breaking rules," Chase spoke. "Are you in?"

After a moment of thinking, Millie was in. "Let's do it!"

"Alright!" Chase whooped.

Sam was humming the tune of 'Pac-Man' as he swept the floor. The door to the Boathouse opened, and he turned his head. "Hello? Sam?" came a familiar voice, accompanied by a flashlight.

"...Geoff?" Sam asked and threw away the broom. "Is that you?"

"Yep?" Geoff confirmed. "I brought you some food so you won't be hungry when you get out of here."

Sam peeked at the gruel. "Thanks, but I'd rather stick with the bait," he looked at a bucket of live worms.

"Gruel is all that Chef will serve us after how we performed in the obstacle course," Geoff said as they sat down. "I must say, you had guts to try and fend off Chef like he was a dragon."

"I did that because of my video game withdrawal," Sam confided. "It makes me see everyone and everything as a game."

"So it's like living in a video game world?" Geoff asked.

"It is, but I look dumb to everyone when I'm in that mode," Sam groaned. "I know I have Omar, but I haven't seen him in my cabin lately."

"I'm pretty sure Omar will come back to you," Geoff comforted. "I may not know how to fix a withdrawal, but for now, just rest in the Boathouse until your time is up."

"I could definitely use the opportunity to sleep after how overstimulated I've been," Sam considered. "Thanks for coming over to talk to me."

"Anything for a friend," Geoff said.

The scene cut to an exterior shot of a large tent as a pair of 'bushes' walked up to it. They stopped a few yards from the entrance, and Chase and Millie popped their heads out and looked around. Then they snuck into the tent, crawling to the fridge.

"Twenty-five of us went in the jungle that night," Chef droned as the pair opened the fridge and threw several of the food into their bag. "Only five came back out."

"I mean, come on," Chris told Chef as the shot changed over to him. "I am nothing without my stubble."

"Amen, brother!" Chef smiled at him.

Chase and Millie quickly shoved more food into their bag and zipped it up. "Do you regret what we're doing?" Chase asked.

Millie double checked the fridge and closed it. "No," the author said with a restrained laugh. "I don't even mind if we get caught."

The shot cut to moments later as the two dashed off into the night, the bag of food in Millie's hand.

The Gophers cabin was shown briefly as the scene cut inside it. Trent and Damien were sitting on the floor eating a plate of cookies while Brick sat on a bed and ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. "What a wonderful haul those two brought," Brick said.

"After eating Chef's food for days, we really need to get back to reality with normal food," Damien said.

The camera cut to Eva, Gwen, and Priya, the three girls also enjoying the treats. "And what is with all those lame war stories? He is so demented!" Gwen said.

"Even my parents know that I'm not cut out for combat training," Priya nodded.

"I would join the army," Eva added, "but it's below my standards."

Scott had finished chugging down a bottle of soda and let out a big belch, much to the shock of Geoff and Sam. "What are you staring at me for?" he squinted after seeing the two boys staring at him.

"Dude, you belch like you're the king of the world!" Sam said in awe.

"So what?" Scott sniffed. "My siblings burp louder and grosser than me!"

Sky, Chase, and Millie were shown sitting in a corner, and Millie grabbed the last ice cream sandwich on a plate between them. "Don't you think you've had enough?" Sky asked.

"This is my last one. I promise," Millie told her before cramming the sandwich in her mouth, and she began to frown. "You're right. That was a mistake." She got to her feet and ran out the door. Chase watched her for a moment and followed.

Outside, Millie was leaning over the railing and throwing up all her stolen food to the ground. "Not bad for a first grab and run," Chase said, coming up beside her.

Millie got off the railing. "What we did was breaking the rules, but eating that food was so worth it!" she piped.

"See what happens when you come out of your shell every once in a while?" Chase smiled.

"It feels refreshing," Millie said. "But don't forget about what we talked about."

"That I need to be more obedient and considerate about laws?" Chase answered.

"Correct," Millie said with a nod. "You can lessen your chances of getting busted if you do so."

"I do have a couple of detentions back home for my pranks and stunts," Chase bragged before turning serious, "but I'll listen to you. Besides, I didn't vote for Brick at our last elimination ceremony."

This news made Millie surprised. "You didn't?"

"I mean, Ripper poisoned Trent and took his blindfold off, and that was more than what Brick did to you," Chase told the author. "And it was in your best wishes, so I granted them."

"You're more thoughtful than I thought you were," Millie hugged the daredevil tightly.

"You're welcome," Chase squeezed out.

"Attention, all remaining boot camp recruits!" Chef announced over the loudspeaker. "The next evolution of your training begins tomorrow morning, at 0700 hours." The campers were shown listening to the announcement with dread. "And if I catch the sucker that took my desserts, your butt is mine!"

The footage skipped ahead to the next part of the challenge, showing the six remaining campers hanging from a tree by their knees. Sam, Priya, and Geoff hung for the Bass on the left, while Brick, Gwen, and Sky hung for the Gophers on the right.

"What you are experiencing," Chef told them as he walked into the scene from the right, "is an ancient form of torture. By now, the blood has begun rushin' to your head. The next stage is nausea, followed by dizziness and a flushed appearance, as the blood begins to pool in your eyes." The focus shifted to Sam, who began to look woozy. "You may experience fainting spells," Chef said, and the gamer finally dropped.

"Sam?" Priya wondered with concern.

Damien dashed up to where Sam laid awkwardly on the ground and quickly looked him over. "It's okay, guys," he called out. "He'll be fine!"

Brick leaned up and grabbed the branch with his hands, adjusting his position but not dropping, and the others did the same as well.

"This isn't hard at all," Priya said to herself. "I just have to keep...holding...on…" She then grew extremely dizzy, and with a moan, she let go of the branch and fell on her back.

The four teens were shown again, and this time it was Sky who got dizzy. "If I'm getting dizzy and I fall, I'd get high damage because of the blood pressure," she guessed. "I have to drop." She let go of the branch and landed on her feet.

"I knew I'd make it this far," Brick bragged to himself. "The blood rushing to my head is nothing." As soon as he said that, he began to feel sleepy, and eventually, he fell off the branch.

"I expected more out of you, soldier," Chef said in disappointment.

"So did I, sir," Brick replied. "Personally, I'm proud I made it this far."

"It's all up to you, Geoff!" Sam called out.

"Keep on the branch, Gwen!" Sky encouraged.

"Oh yeah. I can hang here all day," Gwen said confidently.

"Rock on, sister!" Geoff cheered. "I live for the head rush!" He laughed, then began to slur his words. "It feels...so...good..." The party guy finally fell.

"That's gonna leave a mark," Sam said with a wince.

Moments later, Brick had Gwen up on his shoulders and the Gophers were parading her around triumphantly.

"Gwen!" Chef called as the team approached him and skidded to a halt. "Congratulations, soldier," he saluted her, "I'd go to war with you anytime!"

"I'll keep that in mind when choosing my career," Gwen said hesitantly.

"You do that, soldier!" Chef called after her as her team took her away to celebrate. "You do that!" He shed a single tear as he watched her leave.

Chef Hatchet, still in his military uniform, stood behind the Killer Bass during the elimination ceremony. "I only have five marshmallows on my plate," Chris began in a dramatic tone. "And these marshmallows represent the campers...that will continue to be...campers. Here."

"You've all cast your ballots in the confession cam," Chris announced. "If I do not call your name, you must immediately go down to the Dock of Shame, catch the Boat of Losers, and go home. And you can't come back," his smile quickly became a frown, "ev-er!"

"Damien!"

"Scott!"

"Priya!"

"Geoff!"

"Campers," Chris frowned and held up the plate, "this is the final marshmallow of the night." Sam and Eva looked at each other, the former worried and the latter calm. "Eva."

Sam sighed as Eva claimed her prize and he stood up. "Well, looks like I'm out of continues," he told the five remaining Bass. "Sorry I couldn't have been more help to you guys."

"We'll miss you, dude," Geoff told him.

"Same here," Damien added. "Sorry we had to vote you out because of your withdrawal."

"Don't worry about it!" Sam told them. "Without my video games, I would've just been holding you guys back in the future. Speaking of which, can I get all my handheld game systems back now?" He looked at Chef, who had brought the large bag of confiscated game consoles and was currently playing on one of the handhelds.

"They'll be on the Boat of Losers," Chef said, looking at Sam over his shades. "Now get on it before I change my mind."

Sam was now walking through the dock and was just about to board the Boat of Losers when he heard a sudden chirp. He looked back and saw Omar flying towards him.

"Omar!" Sam said with a smile. "You came to see me off!" The bird gave off multiple chirps. "You want to come with me?" Omar nodded. "But what about your friends in the woods? Won't they be upset about you leaving them?"

Omar chirped again. "Well we did bond well these past days, and as long as they're okay with it, I can keep you as my pet," Sam said to the orange bird, who chirped happily at the news.

With Omar on his shoulder, Sam got on the boat and sat next to his bag of confiscated game systems before the boat sped away.

The music turned ominous as Scott stood alone at the campfire, holding his marshmallow deep in the flames. The scene transitioned to a flashback of Sam walking out of his cabin in the morning with Omar still inside sleeping next to Sam's pillow. Scott entered the cabin, and upon seeing the bird, he poured some bird seed into his left pocket, grabbed the bird, and stuffed him into his left pocket before leaving the cabin.

"Like I was ever attached to Oscar," Scott talked to himself in front of the campfire. "I just had to keep him away from Sam for a while so that he'll lose his mind over the loss of his games and friend, and when Sam got eliminated, I could release that bird to him." He stared at the still-burning flames on his charred marshmallow with a devilish look. "See ya, Gamer Boy."
