Meanwhile, Valentino and his goons were still cruising around town in his limo. They had had no luck searching on foot, so Valentino was calling Vox to check on his progress.

"Any leads on where they might be, Voxxy?" asked Valentino.

"Not yet," Vox replied on the other end. "But Velvet and I are looking. I'm sure Angel is keeping her safe."

"Oh, I'm sure," Valentino seethed. "But no one is gonna keep him safe when I get my hands on him! That much is fucking clear!"

"Do you want me to do anything special?" Vox asked in a sinister tone. "Once you find him, I mean."

"Maybe one thing," Valentino mused. "But we can discuss that later."

As he looked out the window, Valentino could see a truck drive by. He didn't notice anything strange about it at first though, so he looked away and kept talking to Vox.

"Just try to stay optimistic, sweetie," Vox said. "Try and think about all the fun things we'll get to do as a family once she comes back."

"Hmmmm…I guess…" grumbled Valentino as he lit up a cigarette.

The truck drove by while Valentino stared blankly out the window. As it drew closer, the truck seemed like it was avoiding the limo.

That alone caught Valentino's attention, but then he saw very familiar pink hair pass by in the window.

"There you are," mumbled Valentino with a vicious smirk as he put out his cigarette and yelled at his chauffeur. "They're in that truck! After them!"

The truck sped after the limo. Angel and Cherri were jamming to the radio unaware of the limo behind them.

"Get on their left side, baby!" Valentino called out to the chauffeur. "I want to give Angel a little gift!"

Meanwhile, Angel and Cherri continued to jam to the radio unaware of their approaching enemy.

"We ain't far now, babe," Angel said. "We'll be there soon."

"I can't wait," Cherri said. "Then I can see what you're always posting Voxtagram pics about."

As soon as the limo approached the truck's driver's side and got close enough, Valentino rolled down the window and yelled, "Hey, Angel!"

Angel felt his stomach drop as he looked in the direction of the noise.

Val was there with a cruel smile holding a pistol aimed at Angel.

"Daddy's got a little gift for you, baby!" Val yelled out the window.

With that, he shot his gun at Angel, shattering the window in the process. However, Cherri pushed him back out of the way causing the bullet to go through her shoulder and the car to swerve.

"Argh, dammit!" Valentino growled, cursing himself under his breath for hurting his daughter. "Run them off the road!"

Valentino visibly panicked, knowing the bullet had hit his daughter.

Angel did the same thing as he floored the truck.

Cherri clutched her shoulder, gritted her teeth, and screamed, "FUCK!"

"Oh, shit! Oh, shit! Oh, shit!" cried Angel as he continued driving.

As Valentino started to compose himself, he glared out the window and formed another plan. Then with gritted teeth, Valentino started aiming at the tires and firing.

Back inside the car, Angel tried to regain his composure.

"Cherri?" Angel asked. "Cherri, are you…?"

"I'll be fine, Angel!" Cherri yelled through the pain as she rolled down the window on her side. "Keep driving the car. I'm going on the roof!"

"But Cherri…" Angel tried to protest as Angel headed for the window.

"Keep on them!" yelled Valentino, continuing firing and trying to pop their tires. "Get their tires!"

Despite Angel's protests, Cherri climbed onto the roof and began throwing bombs at the limo.

As a result, the limo started to swerve. The driver was having too many other issues keeping up in this high-speed chase and he couldn't keep it up.

"Let me shoot her, boss!" one of Val's goons suggested. "I don't have a divine weapon! It won't kill her! It'll just knock her off the truck!"

Valentino turned around, slapped the minion across the face sending him flying across the limo, and then said, "What part of do not harm her do you not understand?! That is my daughter, you dumb jackass!"

"Yes, yes, boss, I'm sorry," pleaded the red goon as he shrank away to the back of the limo.

After a moment of thought, Valentino looked at the truck, looked at Cherri, took off his coat, and yelled to the driver, "Slow down your pursuit, but don't lose them!"

"Boss?!" yelled the driver confusedly.

"Just do it!" Val yelled as he opened the sunroof. "I'm going to grab Cherri myself!"

Valentino ditched his red coat onto the seat before crawling to the roof. He stood and leaned on it as he growled. He fluffed his fur collar on him as fur started to grow on his appendages. His claws became more elongated. Then he sprouted monstrously-sized wings to finish off his transformation.

Valentino clicked and growled before taking off into the air, shaking the limo in the process and leaving claw marks.

"Keep shooting the tires!" Val growled in a deeper, more demonic tone. "I'm getting my daughter!"

Valentino soared forward towards the truck with his arms outstretched. He glared intensely, focused on grabbing his daughter off the truck.

Cherri shrieked in panic as she began chucking bombs at Valentino.

Angel saw Valentino and screamed at Cherri to get back into the van, but she held her ground.

Valentino seemed to evade the bombs with relative ease. Only one seemed to throw him off course, but he recovered by latching onto the trailer, leaving behind deep gashes into the metal.

Fearfully, Cherri hopped back into the cab and yelled, "Angel, hand me a gun!"

Val zipped into the cab gripping Cherri's leg and wrist before he crawled in towering on top of her and saying, "I don't think so."

Having never seen Valentino's full demon form before, Angel and Cherri were frozen in terror.

But when Valentino started pulling, Cherri came back to her senses.

Cherri screamed and grabbed her backpack, using it as a blunt-force weapon while she called for Angel.

"ANGEL!" Cherri screamed. "ANGEL!"

Angel snapped out of his terror, summoned a gun, and started firing at the monster trying to drag away his best friend while trying to pay attention to the road.

Valentino recoiled from the pain for only a moment before he gripped all his arms on Cherri.

"ENOUGH!" Valentino screamed before he took off with Cherri upwards into the sky.

"ANGEL!" Cherri screamed as her father pulled her and her backpack up into the sky.

Angel cried out for Cherri, attempting to turn back or leave the cab. But the oncoming fire from the limo from behind made it near impossible.

"I'll save you, Cherri!" Angel yelled from the open, broken window. "I swear!"

Angel floored the truck forward with angry tears in his eyes and kept moving forward while the limo chased behind him.

"Run, Angel!" Cherri yelled while struggling in Val's arms. "RUN!"

Valentino continued flying in the air, gripping her tightly.

"We'll get Angel soon enough," he said. "As for you, we're going to have a word when we get back."

With that, Valentino started flying back to the studio.
