Meanwhile, Cherri was sitting alone in her room unable to sleep when she got a phone call. The number was unknown, but she answered anyway.
"Hello?" Cherri asked.
"Hey! Is this Cherri?" Charlie asked excitedly.
"Uh, yeah? Who the fuck are you?" asked Cherri cautiously.
"Oh, sorry, it's Charlie," Charlie explained. "I'm the Princess of Hell and I run the hotel where Angel lives."
"Oh, the rehab placeā¦" Cherri replied.
"Yeah, Angel gave me your number," Charlie explained. "We were going to bring you into the hotel today, but you got captured. So, we wanted to know. Are you okay? What has been going on with you and Angel? We've been super worried."
"I've been better, but I'm ready enough to beat the shit out of the lanky prick," Cherri said. "Angel is strung up in some fucked BDSM shit, and I'm in my room. Tryna figure out what to do that doesn't hurt Angie."
"What do you mean?" Charlie asked.
Cherri sighed and said, "Val said that, as long as I stay here with him, he wouldn't kill or hurt Angel."
"Oh, shit," Charlie replied.
"Yeah," Cherri said. "So, as you can see, I can't leave here without Angel."
"I understand," Charlie said. "That's very noble of you. Is there anything we can do for you? We're here in front of the studio."
"You're what?!" cried Cherri.
Cherri hopped off her bed, ran to the glass wall, and pushed open the window. From the street, Charlie waved at her.
"Y'all are crazy. I like it," the cyclops demon said into her phone. "So, what's the plan?"
"About that, we're here, but we don't really have a plan," Charlie admitted. "We want to save Angel and you if possible."
"You think your flying kitty can catch me?" asked Cherri.
Being on speaker, Husk asked, "What?"
Cherri spoke into the phone clearly as she opened the window, "Catch me."
"Oh my God, fine!" Husk yelled flying upwards.
Cherri threw a few more things in her backpack, put it on her back, and prepared to jump.
With a wide grin, Cherri divebombed straight out the window. She fell until Husk caught her in mid-air, almost losing his balance in the process.
"Nice catch, Husk," Cherri said with a wide grin.
"Fuck off, broad," Husk muttered, flying towards the ground.
"You're just as charming as Angel says you are," quipped Cherri.
"Whatever," Husk said grumpily. "I'm getting you to the ground. You're heavy."
"Wait, I want to see if we can find Angel," Cherri said. "I know which floor it's on."
Husk stopped his descent and agreed, "Alright."
"Thanks, Kitty Man!" Cherri said. "Go down to the sixth floor!"
Husk flew down until he and Cherri could see Angel through the window.
Back in the club, Angel was still held up and bound. Even though he was healed, it seemed fresher wounds had appeared since Cherri last saw him, probably some jealous stars or someone who wanted payback.
"How sharp are your claws?" Cherri asked Husk.
"Ask the snake when he gets out of bed," Husk quipped.
Cherri snorted and asked, "Do you think you can cut through the glass?"
"Hold on tight," Husk instructed, pulling up his hands. "I'll need a free claw."
Cherri smiled and wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
Husk flew closer to the window and slowly started dragging his claws across the glass.
"Hey, Kitty Man, I have a plan, sort of," Cherri explained. "We'll break in there, and I'll throw some bombs to cause chaos while you cut Angel free. You'll also have a lockpick I stored in Angel's shorts if you need them. Together, we'll break Angel out. You help us to the ground, and we'll all run away. How does that sound?"
"Good, as long as we do it quick before the pimp catches wise," Husk replied.
"Agreed. Speaking of which, I want you to promise me something," Cherri said. "If it happens that you have to choose between saving me and saving Angel, I want you to save Angel. Like it or not, I'm Valentino's daughter and he doesn't want to hurt me, but he will kill Angel if he gets the chance. So, get Angel back to the hotel if it comes down to it. Okay?"
"I probably would've done that anyways," Husk finished cutting open a hole for a bomb to fit through.
"Then we're in agreement," Cherri said, summoning a bomb and throwing it through the hole.
The patrons all turned around just in time to see the bomb before it exploded.
Husk backed up as the bomb exploded, breaking the glass wall apart.
In the chaos, Husk swooped in and dropped down Cherri before gliding over to Angel.
"I'm getting you out of here, Legs!" Husk yelled, untying Angel as Cherri threw more and more bombs into the club. "Keep everyone out, Toots!"
"Are you alright, Angel?!" Cherri called from the other side of the room.
Angel was gagged, but he nodded his head with smiling eyes.
Flexing his claws, Husk sliced the gag off his face.
Husk sliced all the other bindings off too until Angel fell on his feet.
"My knight in fuzzy armor!" Angel gushed.
"Thank me when you and your lady friend are back at the hotel," Husk replied. "Cherri, we're leaving!"
Husk lifted Angel into his arms bridal style and ran to the window.
Cherri ran to the window after them.
At the moment when the rest of the bombs went off, Husk jumped and began to soar with Angel in his arms.
Cherri jumped out behind them and reached her arms to grab onto Husk.
Missing his legs, Cherri resorted to gripping onto his tail, shocking Husk mid-flight.
"AGH!" Husk cried out in pain.
"Sorry, Husker!" Cherri apologized. "Let's get going!"
"Fucking bitch!" Husk spat back, continuing to glide until they landed roughly on the pavement.
Thankfully, just then, the limo pulled up.
"Are you guys alright?" Charlie asked as she threw the car door open.
"Let go!" Husk yelled at Cherri.
"I'm letting go! I'm letting go!" Cherri said, dropping his tail. "Now, put Angie down! We've gotta move fast!"
"Don't tell me what to do!" Husk retorted, climbing into the car and carrying Angel inside.
"Awwww! You all came to save me. I could cry," Angel said warmly.
"Thank us when we're outta here," Vaggie retorted. "Cherri, get in here!"
With a final middle finger salute to the studio and its inhabitants, Cherri hopped into the limo. In seconds, the limo peeled away and disappeared down the road.
