The group pulled up to the hotel in the limo.

Once Cherri saw the hotel, her eyes grew wide as saucers.

"Holy shit!" Cherri exclaimed. "This place is huge."

"You should have seen it about a year or so ago," Angel said weakly. "We've really cleaned up the place since then."

Razzle and Dazzle opened the limo doors, and the passengers made their exit.

Cherri took Angel's arm around her shoulder as they exited the limo and said, "Show me where your room is Angie. I'll help you get there and move in next door."

"What about your luggage?" Niffty asked, holding Cherri's large backpack.

"Oh, just leave it downstairs and I'll get it later," said Cherri.

"No need!"

The front door burst open with the Radio Demon standing right in the doorway.

"As hotel staff, Niffty darling, you bring it up for her," Alastor said to Niffty.

"Okay!" Niffty said, lugging the heavy backpack out of the car.

Husk sighed and said, "Let me help," before picking up that bag and walking back inside.

"Hey, Al!" Charlie said. "We did it."

"No thanks to you," Vaggie muttered as everyone walked past Alastor and into the hotel.

"Haha! Well, I'm glad your endeavor was a success," Alastor said with a chuckle.

"Well, Husk did most of the work," Charlie admitted. "He got Cherri, her luggage, and Angel out of the studio. We mostly just waited for the limo."

"Sounds like an easy enough venture," Alastor said proudly. "And without my aid no less!"

"Yeah, thanks for your help," Charlie said.

"Consider it my sacred duty, dear," Alastor said with a flourish. "Besides, who else is going to protect you weaker demons as much as I do?"

Vaggie rolled her eye and walked inside.

"So, Al, it looks like everything worked out after all," Charlie said. "We just have to keep Angel and Cherri Bomb safe until the three V's lose interest."

"Not especially likely," said Alastor before he looked over to Cherri. "What is your relation to them?"

"What do you mean?" Cherri asked suspiciously.

"Al, she's a patron," reminded Charlie.

"What did you do that put you in such close quarters with the pimp?" asked Alastor, ignoring Charlie.

"I didn't do anything," Cherri said defensively.

"Then why do they take such an interest in you?" asked Alastor. "I sure hope you aren't intending to bring any danger to my investment."

"No, Al, of course, they're not," Charlie said, getting in between them. "I intend to help them."

"Why do you care anyways?" asked Vaggie, grabbing Alastor's attention long enough to allow Angel and Cherri to head upstairs outside of his notice.

"I would be a fool to allow trouble to something I invested time and effort into, no?" replied Alastor.

"And you think we would?" snarled Vaggie.

"Not you especially, dear, but others are perhaps not so trustworthy," Alastor explained with a flourish. "We are in Hell after all!"

"Cherri is Angel's friend, Al," Charlie said. "And Angel trusts her, so I think we can trust her too."

"If you say so, dear," Alastor chuckled.

Vaggie grimaced and said, "If you don't feel like being helpful, you can go."

"If you don't wish to receive my help, then yes, I will go," Alastor said, turning to Niffty. "Niffty, would you like to help me make breakfast?"

"Sure, Al," Niffty said happily.

Alastor walked away with Niffty following behind him.

"Vaggie, you don't need to be so hostile," Charlie said. "I think Al is just trying to look out for the hotel's best interest."

"Only if it makes him happy," Vaggie reminded her.

"That's true but keeping our hotel from ruin is what makes him happy," Charlie said, holding her hand out to Vaggie. "Listen, I agree with you. If Cherri wants to stay here and follow the rules, we're not going to kick her out. We'll keep her and Angel safe for as long as we can."

Vaggie gave a sigh and held onto Charlie's hand, "Alright, hon."

Meanwhile, Angel and Cherri were upstairs getting Cherri set up in her new room.

During the unpacking, Cherri and Angel heard a distinct, "Settling in nicely?"

Cherri and Angel looked up to see Alastor at the door.

"Hey there, Smiles!" Angel said. "Come here to welcome me back home? I was afraid I would be strung up so long I'd forget what your beautiful face looked like."

Alastor's eyes twitched slightly as he replied, "Your company could possibly be enjoyed more from a distance."

"But that wouldn't be as much fun, Alastor," Angel said flirtatiously.

"So, you're the Radio Demon, huh?" Cherri asked, turning from her backpack to approach the Radio Demon. "I've heard a lot about you. It's nice to finally meet you."

"Not often I hear that, dear," Alastor replied.

"Yeah, well, I think it's pretty cool that you beat out other overlords for your spot in hell," Cherri explained. "That and you're the overlord that my 'step-dad' hates so I'm a fan."

The sound of a microphone cracking could be heard.

"Your what now?" Alastor asked.

"Oh, I'm talking about Vox, my Biological Father's boyfriend," Cherri said with an annoyed shrug. "He called him my stepdad. Anyways, I'm not completely sure what it's about, but you're enemies with the guy the man I have the misfortune of being related to loves. So, you're alright in my book."

Choosing to ignore the Vox implications to avoid envy and anger, Alastor instead caught onto what this meant, "Your Father is the pimp?"

"Yeah," Cherri said confusedly. "They held a press conference that was broadcast all over Hell. I figured everyone knew by now."

"I don't pay as much attention to my picture show, dear," Alastor explained.

"Gotcha, well, sadly, it's true," Cherri said with a sigh. "The overlord of lust is my biological father. He seduced my teenage mother, married her, knocked her up, and abused her until she finally ran away with me. I didn't even recognize him, but he recognized me. Just my shitty luck. It's why he kidnapped me."

"What a brute," Alastor said, his staff appearing in his hand. "I imagine he'll be eagerly searching for you."

"Probably," Cherri said. "That's why I'm hiding here. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll redeem myself and go to Heaven with Angie."

"Awww, that's so sweet, babe," Angel said.

"I can't let you have all the fun up there, Angie," Cherri said. "Besides, it'd be nice to see my granddad and grandmom again."

"So, do you believe in what the Hotel has to offer?" asked Alastor.

Cherri hesitated and said, "To be honest, I'm skeptical, but I'm willing to give it a try. Particularly if it means I get to hide from my sperm donor."

"Very well then," Alastor said. "That should be something to look forward to! Always happy to see others giving this a try!"

"Yep, thanks for helping me escape my shitty dad," Cherri said as she turned back to unpacking.

Alastor smirked before heading out.

Cherri waited for him to leave before she turned to Angel and asked, "What was that about, Angie?"

"Ain't fully sure," Angel replied. "But keep your distance with Smiles."

"Yeah, I know his reputation," Cherri said. "He's dangerous."

"Much more than that apparently," Angel added.

"Yikes, but he let Husk save us," Cherri said. "So, does that mean he's on our side?"

"That or he wants us for something else," Angel replied.

"If it keeps my sperm donor away, I'll put up with it for now," Cherri said. "I never want to go back to staying with those people. The few hours I was there were miserable enough."

"Fair enough," Angel replied, rubbing his arms worriedly. "Just be careful. He tries to eat Fat Nuggets. I don't know what he'd do with you."

Cherri gulped and held her arm.

"In that case, maybe hiding here is not such a good idea after all," she said.

"It's the best we have for now," Angel said. "As long as you try the redemption thing out, the broads won't let him hurt you."

"If that's true, I guess I have nothing to worry about," Cherri said with a sigh of relief. "All the same, would you sleep in my room with me tonight, Angie? It has been a long day, and I'm still kinda scared that one of the overlords will spirit me away in the middle of the night."

"Sure, babe," Angel said with a smile.

Cherri then yawned and said, "It looks like the sun won't be rising for a while. Want to take a nap now?"

"As long as Nugs can join," Angel said.

"Of course," Cherri said with a smile, picking out some pajamas, grabbing her toothbrush and toothpaste, and going to the bathroom. "Get him in here."

"Fat Nuggets!" cried Angel to his pig. "Come to Daddy!"

Fat Nuggets happily galloped through the hallways into his daddy's arms.

Angel picked up the pig, spinning him around, and joyfully crying, "I've missed you so much! I'm so sorry I was gone!"

Fat Nuggets gave his daddy many licks and kisses. After a moment, Angel fell onto the bed holding his pig. Fat Nuggets snuggled onto his chest fluff.

Cherri came out of the bathroom wearing pajamas and shut the door to her bedroom before they all went to sleep.
