Edward's POV
Conversation remained slight throughout the course of the dinner. While my friends and I are familiar with the food that was made by my mother as Fluff was eating her food near us, the conversation was only broken when Bella and her friends expressed their positive thoughts on my mother's cooking food, as well as when my parents had asked about everyone's life in Hollywood and knowing more about them.
"What are you planning to do when your show is over?" Esme asked them.
"I am actually studying on some fashion design where I got in contact with the Victoria Beckham herself." Alice said. "We'll be getting to work together after her trip for the Milan Fashion week with Roberto Cavalli."
"I have a role as the main character for a new movie that'll begin once we return to LA, Tenet." Jasper said. "I am however later on leaning to try directing, but that's debatable."
"I already audition for Freeform's new TV series, Famous In Love." Victoria said. "I should hear from them next week."
"I got a few roles to guest star in and a photo shoot for Calvin Klein. I start doing those next year so I got some free time!" Emmett said excitedly.
"Bella and I got work for the sequel of To All The Boys I Love. They hinted that after the second production, we'll begin production for the third one soon after." Jacob said. "But after that, I don't know yet." He shrugged.
"Well, I've been set to appear at the Victoria Secrets Fashion Show. It's always been my dream since I was five years old to be in on that show and I'm so excited. We get started in November before the show begins in December." Rosalie smiled.
"That's amazing for you all to expand your horizons as you all take the next steps of your careers. And I'm sure you'll find the next big thing for you, Jacob." Carlisle said as Jacob nodded his head.
"You all have given me some inside scoops for my forum website!" Jessica said excitedly as she dropped her utensils in the middle of eating and whipped out her phone and began typing furiously.
"Okay, do you ever put down the phone?" Demetri asked her in annoyance.
"Um, do you ever not speak with food in your mouth?" Angela asked in disgust as Demetri, with his mouth full, shrugged as he continues eating.
"Hey, some of us need all the calories we need to burn during practice, Ang." Ben said.
"From how the footballs were made, you boys are such pigs." Heidi said rolling her eyes causing Rosalie to giggle with her.
"Um, excuse me, but how come, some of us that play the most action on the field are in good shape? Plus, I'm the only one mature enough to not stuff my face." I smirk as I took a sip of my drink.
"Then why aren't you bothering to use a napkin every time you need to wipe your mouth?" Esme pointed out causing me to be embarrassed as the guys laughed how I was called out from my own mother. I saw Bella giggling in amusement. Sure, she thinks it's funny. I thought as I grabbed a napkin and wiped my mouth.
"What about you, Bella? Any plans or projects going on?" Carlisle asked her.
Bella was silent, staring at her plate as she pondered on my father's question. "I'm not quite sure." She said. "Besides the movie with Jacob, I'm planning on hoping to make another album for my music. I'm sure I'll be given offers for more roles in movies or TV shows but we'll find out. But…," Bella paused as we all had her attention on what she's about to say next. "After that, I'm thinking of taking a break from everything." She said as every jaw, including mine, dropped opened. Renesmee just sat there just being curious while Alice smiled while all of us shocked over Bella's statement.
Of course seeing that, she clarified, "Maybe I'll continue a few projects on the side but," She paused, as she bit her lips looking nervous. "I don't know, I'd like to go to college."
No way! I thought. Bella is actually considering going to college?! For real?! I tried to hold myself together from smiling big, ecstatic that she'd actually made her decision on the matter we'd discussed. Bella seemed to have caught me as she gave me a sideward glance as if she heard my internal thoughts as she smiled a little towards me. I could tell she'd really been grateful for my words of advice.
Though now that I looked back on them, they had been a bit biased. Ultimately, I did want her to experience all aspects of life, and not live with any regrets, to live a normal life. But I'd also noted that, as a college student, Bella would be a lot more tangible and communication would be easier for us. The thought made my eyebrows crinkled. Why are you being selfish so suddenly, Cullen? I thought to myself as I mentally berated myself, almost cringing at the realization that I had been thinking of attainability more than anything.
But she's made that decision on her own, I'm sure. I may have influenced her slightly, but my opinion couldn't have been the crucial one for her.
"Really?" Carlisle said, having a look of interest.
"What are you thinking of studying?" Esme asked.
"English Literature." Bella answered, almost immediately. "Probably. I'd like to do something in writing."
"Well Bella, I'm sure you'll do well if you were to pursue that path." Esme smiled to Bella as she nodded her head in thanks.
"Um, can you not mention that part about me thinking about going to college?" Bella asked Jessica. "I'm not sure after all."
"Not a problem!" Jessica smiled as she continues typing her phone as everyone else commended Bella on deciding to further her education. She thanked them, looking more comfortable at this point with everyone's reactions coming in. I guess she'd expected everyone to laugh in her face or something, which was bullshit. She seems so bright, why would we think the concept of her going to college be humorous?
Eventually, as the dishes were emptied, my friends helped my parents clean up while Bella and her friends were told to go ahead and freshen up and change. I left the kitchen as soon as they left just to meet up with Bella before she heads upstairs.
"Hey," I caught up to Bella. She turned around just as I placed my lips on hers.
"Hmm, me likey." Bella giggled.
"Gotta have one last kiss before we all meet in the media room." I smirked. "Are you ready for our trial run to keep our relationship discreet in front of my friends?"
"If I'm ready to hide our relationship in Forks, I'm sure we can do it from the public." Bella smiled.
"I'll be by your side no matter what." I said. I looked back to be sure no one was around as I hear my friends sounding close to done before I turned back to Bella. "I'll let you go right now and see you and the others in the media room." Bella nodded and turned but I didn't let go of her. "Bella,"
"Yes?"
Without holding back or hesitation, I said, "I love you."
Bella was shocked as I hear my friends coming from the kitchen door. "I gotta go." I said and gave her a quick peck on her cheek. "I just wanted to let you know." I then left heading into the media room without a response from Bella.
Okay, so maybe it looked too soon to say the three words to Bella, but with her leaving on Monday, my time together with her is drawing close. Soon we will be apart where we're both busy with our lives and only get to text, call and FaceTime as communication. All of that, is not a special way to say "I love you," to Bella.
…
Well, neither was what I did earlier but I had to let her know. I just hope Bella feels the same.
I met up with the guys while the girls were still helping out as we made our way into the media room and started up the TV.
"So what's the pick for movie night?" Seth asked as I pulled out the Nintendo Wii U and set it up.
"Last time, we had a Star Wars marathon, and we wouldn't go to bed until four in the morning because someone thought it was okay to skip Episode I since it's not our favorite when that other someone warned him that another someone would throw a fit for not only starting the marathon without her, but for also skipping the movie as well." Alec said pointing his way at Demetri.
"Okay, I swear to god, your sister has like a sixth sense or something!" Demetri complained as he set aside the couch pillows. "And it's scary how she got over here in like twenty seconds." He added.
"Well then, how about we watch Marvels up to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Spiderman: Homecoming is set to premiere in October, so we might as well catch up to be sure we know what happens to the characters." Ben suggested.
"Well we all love every film in the franchise, especially the characters that were in it," I said. "We even loved the villains, so it's fair that everyone who is anyone can all agree on what we're watching tonight since Jane can fill the roles on any characters who can kick ass or likes to be the comedian of the group." I added causing me and the guys to snigger.
"You're asking for a beating Cullen!" Jane called out causing us to jump.
"Shit!" We all turned to see Jasper, Jacob and Emmett, in a different change of clothes, coming in, all with a hand on their chest as they all looked like they just separated from a jump. "Okay, how the fuck did she even hear that?" Emmett looked at me in surprised.
"What is she, some sort of wizard?!" Jacob asked like we predicted something completely true even though it was unlikely.
"Hey, we warned you that she's scary beyond all reason to us." I said as the three join us and sat down.
"Well great, now she's the scariest person we have ever met." Jasper said.
"Who was it before to you?" Ben asked.
"Alice." Jacob, Emmett and Jasper all answered simultaneously immediately.
My friends and I looked at each other, and without warning, we all burst into laughter.
"Oh shit! Oh shit!" Alec laughed out loud as he had his hands on his knees.
"Damn, that's a good one!" Seth laughed as he fell to the floor.
"Oh god, you clearly,!" Ben said in between laughs.
"Yo, this is like the best thing ever!" I exclaimed.
"Stop, stop! I'm gonna piss my pants off!" Demetri said lying on his back as he flails his arm around.
"Wait, you thought we were making it up?" Jacob asked us in disbelief.
"Dude, we're serious!" Emmett stated. "Alice is just as scary as Jane!" He said as we all settled down from laughing.
"And what can she do, sprinkle her pixie dust at us to death?" Ben asked causing us to laugh even more.
"No, she has unlimited amount of energy." Jasper said. "But you know how she claims to have those feelings like she's psychic? Well she's persistent on making it happen, so that means she plans it out, drags us to shopping or gets ready for parties. She's one of those types of "coholics" that you can't quit the habit."
"Little freak." Jacob commented.
"Yeah, so good luck saying no to that little pixie." Emmett said to us. Even so, I doubt she is that scary. I thought. "So what are we doing?"
"Well we got movie marathon planned out; we're watching Marvels." I said.
"Hell yeah!" Emmett exclaimed. "I'm down to that!"
"Yeah, but first, we're about to play a little Mario Kart." I said holding out the game and one of the steering wheels to use as controllers.
"Double hell yeah!" Emmett boomed. "This night is already off to a good start!" He said excitedly as I handled him the controller.
Once the eight of us got a controller, we started playing the game having an all-out race once we got our characters. We were on the fourth race when I can hear the girls coming in.
"Of course they would start without us." Jane said like she should've known.
"Gee, I wonder why." Angela said sarcastically as I bit my lip from laughing just as we were at the final stretch of the last track with Seth, Demetri, Emmett and I in the lead.
"Take this you muscular yet overweight fatty!" Seth said as he shot a red shell at Demetri.
"Dammit!" Demetri said when he got hit as Seth crossed the finished line followed by Emmett and then me and then Demetri threw the controller to the floor in frustration. "OW!" He cried when his controller smacked his head due to the fact that the wrist carrier attached to the controller was wrapped on his wrist causing it to fly back up which made us all laugh at his reaction.
"Yes, I won!" Seth exclaimed as he got up with his arms in the air like he was victorious.
"Woo!" Jane cheered as she jumped on Seth for a hug causing him to be surprised as he accepted the hug with a blush.
"That's not fair dude, I got stuck behind that tree around the corner." Demetri said as he took the controller off his wrist while rubbing his head.
"And a cow, a Piranha Plant, a Chain-Chomp, a Goomba and penguin." Ben pointed out as he counts them off his fingers causing us to laugh even harder.
"Face it dude, whether you drive a real car or a cartoon car, you just suck at driving." I said to Demetri causing more laughter to erupt as Demetri frowned.
"Oh yeah," Demetri got up as he tossed his controller aside and faced me. "Do I suck at this?" And without warning, he tackled me to the floor.
"Ooh, here we go!" Jane said excitedly as I got Demetri off of me. We both got up and then I tackled him back, this time with me on top as I smirked.
"Still fight like shit." I laughed in between hits as Demetri and I got tangled in each other's grasp by hands and legs. "Still fight like shit. Better than Seth, Ben and Alec combined." I teased.
"Oh no he didn't!" Ben said.
"It's on!" Alec said.
"You're asking for it Cullen!" Seth said and soon, those three joined in on our fight.
"Now that's what I'm talking about!" I hear Jessica say as we continue fighting with my target still on Demetri.
"I'll choke you, you know I can!" I said as my hand was flying around to grab something.
"What is going on here?" All of us immediately stopped what we were doing and looked up to see my mom looking at us holding Nessie, changed into something comfortable for the night, with one hand while the other hand was on her hip. Ah fuck!
"Nothing." The five of us said at the same time sounding innocent like we did nothing wrong, even though it seemed obvious with me having my legs around Alec's head in a scissor hold while he held Ben's head face down on the floor while Ben reached behind to cover Alec's face with his hand as Demetri got his arm around me in a choke hold while his other arm is trying to hold my hand that's trying to grab his neck as I use my other hand to try to get Demetri to let go of me while we were both on top of Seth who held us both up a bit and threw us down on our backs. The sight of it caused Jacob, Emmett and Jasper to laugh while the girls and Nessie giggled.
"I told you boys if you're gonna be acting like this, you have to go outside and play." Esme said as we got up and straightened ourselves out.
"Mom, we're not eight." I said like she was being ridiculous while the others scoffed causing my mom to roll her eyes.
"Just watch over your sister." She said to me and then checked on Nessie before she left the room. Nessie then had an excited look on her face as she dashed pass me and got up on the couch sitting next to Bella and Jacob.
"I think I've been replaced." I said as I hear laughter.
"Oh Edward, it's not my fault your sister likes me." Bella teased causing me to smile.
"Uh, I believe that she likes me." Jacob teased as he pulled my sister close to him on his lap causing Nessie to giggle.
"I like everyone!" Nessie smiled as Fluff came and, surprisingly, jumped up the couch into Nessie's arms. "But I love Fluff more!" She said, hugging the puppy as Fluff licked her face.
"Well it looks like Fluff likes you as well." Rosalie smiled as she came behind the couch and stroked Renesmee's hair.
"You guys back there when your mom came in and busted you all was priceless!" Emmett laughed.
"And the way you girls just sat there like you knew that was coming was an interesting sight." Rosalie chuckled.
"You're all so hilarious." Victoria commented.
"The interaction between you guys and the way Jane threatened to beat you all seems to show the bond of your friendship." Jasper said having an admirable look. "You guys must be really close."
Wow, to hear that coming from a celebrity sure is surprising, but touching.
"Thanks guys, but we're not like you all on how you portrayed the best characters in the show." Angela said.
"That was acting, but we are good friends in real life." Bella said.
"Just a group of random actors being brought in after audition trying our best to make the best of the show into best of friends come to life from Rainbow Garden." Alice smiled as did the rest of Bella and her friends.
"Too perfect!" Jessica said as she captured a picture on her phone.
"You better send me that pic." Alice said to her.
"Done!" Jessica said looking up from her phone.
"Again, do you ever put down the phone?" Demetri asked, rolling his eyes.
"When it involves Bella and her friends, never." Jessica said happily.
"Case in point." Jacob pointed out at us.
"So what are we doing now?" Alice asked excitedly.
"Well we just finished our match of Mario Kart and now we're about to play the next game." Ben said.
"What games do you have?" Victoria asked.
"We got Mario & Sonic Olympics in Rio, Mario Party 10, Pokken Tournament, Super Smash Bros, Mario Maker, Splatoon, and Dance Dance Revolution." I said naming a few after pulling some out of the shelf to see.
"I vote Dance Dance Revolution!" Alice declared with her hand up.
"Same here!" Victoria said, doing the same.
"Come on, let me smoke 'em!" Jane said on her feet, looking seriously determine. Ah hell.
"Let's play the game before Jane unreleases her competitive side." Alec said. "Any second longer to wait on another game, and she'll destroy us big time." That is a true fact.
"It's official then." I said and started up the game as Ben set up the dance pads.
"Hey, what's that smell?" Jasper asked as he and the others followed his lead smelling something and a familiar aroma causes me, Nessie and my friends to smile big as we turned to the source.
"I hope you guys tuckered yourselves out enough to settle for some desserts." My mom smiled as she held out a big plate of her famous chocolate chip cookies.
"Cookies!" Nessie exclaimed as she hurriedly jumped off of Jacob's lap causing him to let out an "Oof!" as he groaned due to Nessie jumping right off his crouch in the process.
"Whoa there sis," I said as I caught her in the nick of time and lifted her in the air. Nessie was still running in place as she tries to reach out for a cookie having an excited look on her face, which I don't blame her. "You know the rules; you have to let the guests try them first." I said.
"Aw." Nessie said in disappointment as she dropped her effort of running while I still held on to her in the air.
"Well this oughta be good." Demetri said as he and the guys snickered.
"Who do you think will eat all the cookies the most?" Ben asked.
"I wanna say either Jacob or Emmet, but for some reason, I'm leaning towards Alice." Alec said as my friends muttered in agreement causing Alice to be weirded out of how she was spoken to while Bella and her friends were confused.
"I think Emmett should give your sister a dollar before he tries them." Heidi said to me with a laugh.
"Why? Are they good?" Jacob asked us.
"Are you kidding me?! Esme's cookies are the bomb! You would wish she were your mother." Seth said.
"You sure you guys aren't exaggerating a bit?" Rosalie asked.
"Trust us Rosalie, they are good. Not even a grandma can beat my mom's bake goods." I said still holding Nessie.
"Just go and try one guys." Angela said.
"We should get a video of their reaction." Jane suggested.
"Oh yes!" Jessica said excitedly as I was down with the idea. I dragged Nessie with me as I sat next to Bella and I pulled out my iPhone turning on the camera as my friends did the same causing Bella and her friends to look at us weirdly. "Pay up, Emmett." She said.
Bella and her friends looked at each other.
"Here," Emmett pulled out a dollar and gave it to Nessie. "But I doubt Esme's cooking is that good to make my mouth lose its filter." He said and walked over to my mom who smiled as she held out her plate to him just as I had my phone started recording.
Emmett took a cookie and just shrugged before he took a bite carelessly. And that was it; he took a bite and just remained in the position he was in, like he just froze suddenly. His expression remained as it was, causing me and my friends to burst out laughing at his reaction.
"Emmett?" Rosalie said rushing over to him in concern. She looked at Emmett and then waved her hand in his face, but nothing happened. Rosalie looked at the plate and took a cookie, looking at it and then slowly took a bite. Her eyes slowly widen as her mouth was opened in shocked. "No. … No way. … That can't be. … How is that even possible?!" She sounded speechless as I snickered at this.
Victoria got up and grabbed a cookie. She sniffed it and looked at it again before she took a bite. She then started swaying a bit, having a bit of a dazed look on her face. "Please marry me." She said causing us to laugh even more.
Alice skipped her way over to Esme and grabbed a cookie. She examined it with curiosity and then took a bite. The second she did, she immediately collapsed and was caught by Jasper before she hit the floor as we all laughed. Jasper looked at Alice weirdly and then at the cookies where he took one and took a bite, ending up the same way as Alice as he fell to the floor with her.
Jacob walked over to Esme. He looked at the others who tried out her cookies and then at the cookies at the plate before looking at her having a bit of a skeptical look. Esme smiled as she offered one to Jacob as he slowly took one and looked at it before he took a bite. His expression slowly changed as he looked at the cookie that he took a bite out of, as if it was the first time seeing it. "It's like I've fallen in love for the first time all over again." He said suddenly. I tried my best to hold my laughter as my sister giggled at his reaction. This shit is too good! I thought.
"Bella, you're next!" Jessica sang. I turned to see Bella feeling unsure as my friends cheered her on to try my mom's cookies.
"Go on." I encouraged her. Bella looked at me before she took a deep breath and got up, walking over to my mom. She looked nervous as my mom held up the plate to her. Bella took a cookie and looked at it for what felt like forever before she slowly took a bite. That's when Bella's eyes slowly widened. Her expression was like she was given chocolate for the first time as she stood there looking lost in her thought before she finally let it out.
"Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed and then shoved the cookie in her mouth, moaning with her eyes closed before her friends came back to their senses and they all started fighting each other for more of Esme's cookies.
"They're eating all the cookies!" Nessie complained.
"Relax sis," I said as I turned off my phone and put it away, chuckling. "You know mom makes a lot of those cookies. You did make more, right?" I asked mom.
"Of course she did." Carlisle said as he came in with a bigger plate filled with cookies.
"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Demetri exclaimed as we all now joined in grabbing some cookies to munch on.
"God, I never thought I taste anything that's better than pizzas or burgers, but this here tops it all!" Jacob said as he ate another cookie.
"How did you make these so good?!" Alice asked my mom.
"I do a lot baking in my spare time." Esme smiled with a shrug as she tucked the plate under her arm. "I just picked up a recipe book, followed the directions and then later on, I dabble on a bit on cookies, brownies, cakes, etc."
"Wait, you made that cake at Nessie's party?!" Rosalie asked in shocked as Bella and the others looked at Esme in dumbstruck.
"You thought I bought some cheap cake at even the best bakery? Like I said, I dabble on it to make it better." Esme said with a laugh.
"Dude how are you not famous?! Please come with us to LA!" Emmett begged.
"That's kind of you to offer, but I'm happy with where I am here in Forks with my job, my amazing husband and my two beautiful children." Esme said as she looked at my father with such love as he shared the same.
"There's also the fact that she wants to smoke one of her high school classmates straight out of business." Jessica said before she took another bite of a cookie.
"Hey, Jenny thought she could take away my night by not only steal my date at prom, but rip off my crown I won as prom queen." Esme stated with her hand on her hip. "Little did she know I had a good feeling what she was up to, so I gave her night to remember. That bitch had it coming."
"Mommy," Nessie held out her hand.
"Oh god dammit! I mean shit! I – f – ugh!" Esme said in frustration as she pulled out five dollars from her pocket and gave it to Nessie while my friends and I laughed. I turned to see Bella and her friends were their mouths opened at what they witnessed. Bella turned to me and I answered before she even asked.
"You thought my dad and I or even my friends started the whole swear jar? My mom has no filter in her mouth, and she's the reason why two out of the three jars were filled up." I said causing them to be even more surprised.
"Okay, I think that's enough entertainment. We'll be out of your hair." Carlisle chuckled as he wrapped his arm around my mom. "Behave yourselves and have a goodnight." He said and left the room.
"Just when I thought this night couldn't get any more entertaining." Emmett said.
"And here I thought nothing exciting happens in Forks, but I seem to have underestimated the city." Rosalie said in amazement. As everyone was chatting with one another, I turned to Bella.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yeah," Bella said as she was watching our friends' interaction. "Just seeing this and everything, I guess I can't help but feel a bit envious at how you and your friends live your lives." I was surprised by her words.
"Bella, our lives isn't as glamourous as yours." I said. "I mean, sure we wish to live the life of luxury and such, but we seem to make do with it here. I guess you can say that our lives are perfect… in its own way."
"I can see that." Bella smiled as she continues watching my friends and hers interact with one another. "I'll be right back. I need to use the bathroom." And with that, she left the room.
I joined the others as Demetri loaded up Dance Revolution and soon the game started and he, Emmett, Alice and Jane joined in to start the first round of the game. I sat down and made myself comfortable as I watch Nessie with Rosalie as they play some sort of game with Heidi and Seth while Victoria was answering some questions for Jessica. Jasper was chatting with Alec as Ben and Angela were close together just listening.
I looked when I heard Fluff running up to me. She got down looking ready and I was able to picked it up just time to catch her when she jumped. I placed her on my lap and Fluff climbed up to lick my face causing me to chuckle.
"Wow, I have never seen Fluff warm up to a guy that quickly." Jacob said as he flopped down next to me. "She usually takes days to warm up to us men. Even Charlie." He said as he reached over and rubbed Fluff's head, which she allowed. "I don't know what you did, but she seems to really like you."
I just shrugged. "Beats me. Ness and I just picked her up and offered to find Bella. All we did was feed her, gave her a bath and then played with her." I said as Fluff now lays on her back on my lap allowing me to rub her belly.
"Well, whatever it is, it sure has brought Bella over to you." Jacob looked around and then leaned in closer to me and whispered, "She was beyond happy that day, but it wasn't just because you found Fluff. She was happy to get to see you again."
"Really?" I said in surprised.
"Come on man," Jacob said, rolling his eyes. "You should know by now how much Bella likes you. She got all excited to see you over Fluff a bit." He said.
"Well… I do like her, but it was after Nessie's birthday that I realized my feelings for Bella." I slowly said, explaining it to him hoping he sees I wasn't being an obsessed fan wanting to date Bella.
"I get it. You proved to us that you aren't like other fans who are crazy about Bella. You don't ask for anything from us or jump at us, giving out demands. Question though; are you okay with the kind of relationship you're about to have with Bella?" Jacob asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion.
"Edward, this isn't like any relationship you've been in. Dating in Hollywood is completely different." Jacob explained sounding very serious. "First, you're dating another celebrity doing the same kind of work you do. There comes a time where your schedules conflicts with each other that you might not have much time to spend with one another. That there could lead to a fifty-fifty chance of breakups.
Then you got the paparazzies who have no life other than to follow you around to get some pictures of you, especially if you're dating. Hot celebrity couples are the big talk in stardom. They'll even go far to make up shit making you look like, say you're seeing someone else behind Bella's back, meaning anyone will buy what they say and think badly of you as a total jerk face. We're talking about America's Princess after all.
And then there's the fact that Bella's a celebrity and you're not. The fact that you two are totally different makes things even more challenging of the last two I explained to you combined. While you're still in school, living your life as a regular guy, Bella's living her life as a singer and actress where she's working like twenty-four seven. No one knows about you and your relationship with her, and that there, you two will be the big talk of the century if your relationship is exposed. Are you sure you want to deal with all of that? Can you handle that kind of relationship? Do you love Bella that much to accept that kind of commitment?" He finished as I thought about what he said.
I knew dating a celebrity as a normal will be a challenge, but I never expected it to be this challenging. And to hear from Jacob who must have dealt with it from experience, gives me an even bigger insight to see how dating goes. But hey, does that mean I'm backing out now? Hell no. Didn't I say I love Bella? Hell to the yes. If I knew how tough this was going to be, I wouldn't have asked Bella out even if I have serious feelings for her.
"I'm willing to accept the challenge whatever I face." I answered to Jacob. "I love her, Jacob. I know it's not going to be easy at all, but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to try. If I want to be with Bella, then I'll take on whatever comes my way just like I take on any team to reach a championship."
Jacob nodded and then moves away and relaxed. "Well, good to know." He said as he places his arms behind his head and leans back. "I just wanna be sure. Had to give you the heads up before shit hits the fan."
"Thanks Jacob. I appreciate that." I said as Jacob nodded.
"Well Charlie seems to like you as do the rest of us, I don't see why Renee wouldn't approve." Jacob said.
"Why doesn't that fact surprise me?" I sighed. Of course Renee doesn't like the fact that Bella, a very famous celebrity, is dating an average guy like me.
"Because Renee's a class A, number one, top bitch thinking she's the queen." Jacob said in disgust. "She expects Bella to be like how Renee turned out; very famous, land in star roles and date a celebrity who's a little more famous than her. Sorry, but Charlie is more a legend than you tried to be Renee." He said that last part as if he were talking her himself.
"You hate her that much huh." I said with a chuckle.
Jacob sighed. "I thought she was misunderstood when rumors were going around about her being a diva but when I got to work with Bella in Rainbow Garden, boy was I wrong. Now I'm one of the five boys Renee is insisting on Bella to date and I'm second behind Rider." He shook his head. "I mean, I guess I'm flattered that I'm the second person she approves, but somewhat offended she sees me that way too." He said, scratching his head.
"Um, do you wish to be dating Bella?" I asked, feeling a little insecure since those two made good chemistry in their film of To All The Boys I Love Before and fans were hoping those two would end up together. Plus there's the fact that Jacob's dad Billy Black, Charlie's co-star in Jump Force are best friends, so there's the possibility of those two hoping that their kids end up together. Add the fact that Jacob is extremely better looking than me having a toned, muscular body similar to that of a serious bodybuilder, though balanced by his height.
Jacob looked at me weirdly and then took a deep breath before he spoke. "Bella is nothing more to me than my best friend since day one on set. No, scratch that, she's like a sister to me. That's all I ever see in Bella. Anyone who thinks there's really more between me and Bella are delusional. You should know that Hollywood survives by creating illusion, and that includes making such success out of people to star in that they make fans become too loyal to even care about our lives, who we really love or want to be with." He said causing me to be relieved. "Just remember what I said, from one man to another." I nodded as I saw Bella come in with two pitchers of pink lemonade.
"Sorry, I came back and saw your mother with refreshments she offered for us and I offered to bring them." She said.
"Not a problem." I smiled.
"Bella!" Nessie ran up to Bella and took her hand. "Come dance with me!" She then went up to Jacob and took his hand. "You too, Jakey!" I surpassed a laugh at what my sister called him.
"Watch it!" Jacob warned me. "I gave you the talk, but that doesn't mean I won't pummel you to the floor." He said as he got up and joined Nessie and Bella as they went up to Rosalie who was waiting on them for the next song to dance to.
After a few more rounds of Dance Revolution, it was time for movie night, and we watch Iron Man on the big screen once we were settled in our sleeping bags and snacks ready. Halfway through the second movie we were watching, everyone but Bella and I was asleep, so I figured I turn off the TV. After I got up to turn it off and then put away the remote, I turned to see Bella with Nessie, sleeping, snuggling close to her. I smiled at the sight as I sat down next to Bella and pulled my blanket around us.
"Well, we did it." I said.
"Yep, now the real test will begin." Bella smiled softly. "So what were you and Jacob talking about earlier?"
"Just guy stuff." I shrugged. "Just hearing things from a point of view between the two of us."
"This has been fun." Bella said. "I haven't had this much fun in like… ever."
"This month has been amazing to me as well, especially with you." I smiled.
"Can't believe I won't be with you like we do for the last few days where I get to come over to your house and spend time, seeing you and everything." Bella said sadly.
"I know," I said. "But, seeing you every once in a while is better than not seeing you at all." I sighed.
"Yeah." Bella sighed. There was silent between us, but we didn't fall asleep. "Edward?"
"Yes?"
"I love you too." Bella said causing my heart to swell at those words. "I'm sorry I didn't say it back sooner. I was surprised, but I do love you as well."
"It's fine Bella." I assured her as I reached under the blanket and found her hand and held it. "I know it wasn't how it should be when saying that word, but I had to tell you how much I love you. And saying it over a phone call or FaceTime didn't seem like the way to do so."
"I didn't think that the first time we say "I love you," would be the last time we say it in person." Bella said sadly.
"At least we now know how we feel about us." I said and then leaned towards her, kissing her lips. "I love you."
"I love you." Bella said and kissed me back. After our lips separated, our foreheads rested on each other.
"Sweet dreams, love." I said.
"Goodnight, Edward." Bella said. And with that, she slowly fell asleep and rested her head on my shoulders and I followed suit gently placing my head on hers as I closed my eyes and drifted off into a blissful sleep with the girl I love in my arms.
Hi guys! I apologized about the two-month delay. I can't express how much I hate letting you guys down with the delay and for once it wasn't due to writers block. So much has happened in the last two months. First there was the stress of the election that I couldn't focus on my passion. Then my laptop had problems with the system since it's been with me for six years doing multiple updates for unknown reasons, so I went and got myself a new laptop which works better for writing stories. Yay! Then my portable hard drive that has all my stories, won't let me access it for unknown reason meaning I'm locked out and I'm not risking on reformatting it. Thankfully, I backed them up in Drop Box way before that happened. And to top it off, last month, I lost my friend who was killed by her boyfriend. She was a veteran and such an inspiration to us all and it was hard dealing with her passing. But I'm good now and getting myself back on track to what I love doing so I hope you guys can forgive for it.
On another note, I know what I'm about to do to celebrate my five-year anniversary of writing my stories to you guys but that's gonna have to wait until the next update. Until then, please review and if I don't update by the end of the year, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! Hopefully 2021 will be better than this year.
