Edward's POV
I felt something soft, and warm placed on my face causing me to lean a bit towards this feeling. It feels so… right. That's when the feeling moved from my cheek slowly to my hair as I now realized what was going on as my eyes remained shut, but tried to fight off the smile.
"Edward…" I hear her voice in a whisper and that's when I couldn't hide my smile anymore.
"Bella…" My eyes slowly opened seeing a pair of her beautiful chocolate brown eyes.
I reached for her hand and placed a soft kiss on it before sighing deeply as I rubbed my eyes as I began to wake up to see Bella shifted away from me to give me room to stretch. That's when we heard Emmett's moaning.
"Five more minutes." He complained when Rosalie tried to wake him up. That caused Rosalie to sigh as she somehow, with all her strengths, tugged Emmett off the couch. Emmett was whining through it all. I couldn't help but chuckled since he reminds me of Demetri. Speaking of who, Demetri was snoring until Heidi yanked off his sheets and rolled it up so quick and then gave him a whipped right on his ass so loud causing Demetri to give out a yelp. That there got the rest of the boys to jump from being woken up.
"Huh, what?!" Alec said in confusion suddenly.
"Whoa, where's the fire?!" Ben asked as he was wildly looking around where in the process, whacked Angela with his pillow he whipped out.
"What, breakfast time?!" Seth asked looking around wildly, but excitedly, as Jane ducked down to avoid his swings, giving out an annoyed glare.
"Well that's not why we woke you guys up, but knowing Edward's mom, she's probably already cooking breakfast right now." Jessica said, rolling her eyes as the guys started to get up.
"Well this was interesting." I turned to see it was Jacob who spoke as he was resting up against the couches, with my sister still sleeping, right next to him.
"Normally, we get annoyed with Alice's wake up calls, but now seeing this, watching these guys wake up is by far entertaining." Jasper chuckled from the couch.
"Once again, you guys are seriously hilarious." Jacob laughed as he wakes up Nessie while everyone else was getting up and get ready for breakfast.
I shifted into a sitting position and faced Bella.
"Good morning." I grinned.
"Good morning." Bella smiled.
"How'd you sleep?" I asked, curious to know how our first night as a couple turned out for her.
"Fine," She smiled and then whispered, "I got to be with you." She blushed causing me to be pleased to hear. Because I feel the same. I would want nothing more than to have her in my arms but with my friends still here, in the process of cleaning up, I couldn't risk our relationship being exposed to them. They'll have a field day. Besides, now isn't the right time.
Saving me from making things awkward, Bella got up and left the room to clean herself up she said. With nothing else to do, I got up and stretched before joining everyone else as we left the media room and into the kitchen filled with the aroma of breakfast food laid out by the woman herself.
"Alright everyone, grab a plate and fill it up because I made breakfast for the whole house so help yourselves to as much as you can." My mother announced.
"You don't have to tell me twice!" Emmett said as he grabbed a grabbed a plate and filled it up with mountains of eggs, bacon, sausages, waffles, and toasts.
"Hey, save some for the rest of us!" Seth said as he and Jacob joined in.
"Why am I not surprised?" Rosalie asked, shaking her head.
"Because they are being pigs." Heidi responded, causing those two to laugh as we all joined in and helped ourselves to mom's amazing cooking. As mom was receiving the compliments of her cooking, it wasn't long until Bella came in, and saw us.
"So there's eggs bacon, pancakes, waffles, sausages," Esme motioned her towards the display on the table. "Juice is on the table already and I made blueberry muffins." She smiled at the big plate of muffins that are already half empty.
"Bells, go for the muffin! It's the bomb!" Jacob told her as he took a bite of his muffin causing me to chuckle as I continued eating my breakfast like it was completely normal to me.
Bella giggled as she grabbed a muffin and took a bite. She closed her eyes and moaned. Something tells me that Bella will only love me because of my mom's baked goods. I thought with a chuckle. Bella sat next to me after she filled her plate with food as she joins us devouring our food.
"Bella, I hope you don't take this the wrong way," Esme spoke through the comfortable silence as we ate. "Do you normally allow yourself to eat meals like this?" She asked anxiously. "I hope I'm not forcing you off a diet or something."
Bella gave out a laugh. "No, you're definitely not forcing me off of a diet." She smiled. "To be honest, I hardly ever restrict myself unless it's necessary for a film and such. Even if I wasn't, it's not like I was only having oatmeal and salads."
Only Bella's friends were the ones that didn't react like me, my friends and my parents did when we were surprised by the answer. Nessie just ate like it was normal throughout the conversation.
"So you eat pasta, pizzas, and stuff on a regular basis?" Demetri blurted out. "Honestly, I was under the impression that people in L.A. only drink pressed juices and eat kale."
Bella almost choked her bread causing me to grab a bread roll and chuck it at Demetri's head for being a moron that he is.
"OW!" He cried as he turned to me having a "What the hell?" look as I gave him my pissed off look while I ignored my mom's scolding look.
Bella was able to recover as she was able to speak. "You're not wrong. I know quite a few people who are… obsessed with "clean eating," but I don't know, I never fell into that. Everything in moderation, I guess." She shrugged as everyone else nodded and resume eating. Just as I joined in, finishing my plate, I lifted my hand up and felt something in my palm as I caught it. I looked up with a smirk to see Demetri flipping me off discreetly, however Heidi saw that and smacked the back of his head causing me to snicker.
We all continue eating while talking about random topics before we were all done and my parents told us all to go while they clean up and wash the dishes.
"What time do you guys have to head back?" Jessica asked Bella and her friends as we were back in the media room after we all cleaned up.
"We have to return to L.A. on Monday since we have a lot of things to work out before the end of the year, so we'll probably leave at eight tonight before we catch our flight." Alice said. That's when I caught Bella having a sad look on her face, and I can understand why.
This is where it will begin. Soon, after tonight, Bella will be heading back to L.A. and no one but my family and Bella's friends know about our relationship. It's going to be hard being in this long-distance relationship, especially for what our situation is. I won't have Bella to hold, not even her hand. No chances to kiss her. No time to be with her. Only phone calls, text and FaceTime and other ways to communicate, but for a limit of time. Bella said to me that she thinks that I may one day grew tired and end things between us, but I will not let that get in the way of our relationship. I have to show Bella how committed I am in this. I have to be careful though since our relationship is to be kept on the downlow. If word gets out of my relationship with Bella, the media will have a field day and we're not ready for that. Maybe when the time comes, once Bella and I are comfortable, I will tell my friends about me and Bella and by then we will announce our relationship to the public. I'm not sure when, but I'll worry about that later. Right now, my challenge is dealing with the long distance with Bella.
"I'm really sad to see you all go." Angela said.
"Yeah, this has really been fun hanging out with you guys." Alec said.
"It's just a shame you guys have to go back and resume your life in Hollywood." Demetri said. "We're stuck here finishing school." He complained. "It su-stinks!" He said, stopping himself the same time Renesmee held out her hand to him causing me to laugh.
"Well actually, we still go to school, but we don't go where everyone else goes like you guys do." Victoria said. "We're pretty much home schooled."
"Yeah, but we already got done a year early." Emmett said. Rosalie and Alice smacked him in the back of the head. "OW!" He cried as Rosalie hissed at something to him.
"Will we see you again?" Nessie asked sadly.
"Of course we will." Bella said as she got down to my sister's level.
"Yeah, you can always call us to Skype." Jacob assured her with a smile. "Edward can help set you up and you and I can talk when I'm not busy." He said causing Nessie's eyes to light up like a Christmas tree.
"Also, I decided to host a New Year's Eve Party in L.A!" Alice announced. "You guys and your families will all be invited. And don't worry, I'll be the one to handle the listings on who's invited unlike Bella's mother." She said causing my friends to get excited as Nessie was squealing up and down while I smile big. Alice was hugging everyone with enthusiasm. She got to me before she hugged Bella last.
"This is gonna be great! I got a feeling this New Year's will be a blast!" Alice said excitedly.
"Alright," Jasper said as he placed his hands on Alice's shoulders. "Now that my girlfriend has made plans way ahead of schedule, as usual, why don't we go outside?" He said and everyone else agreed as they all went outside. Bella and I stayed behind.
"You okay?" I asked her.
"Yeah," Bella said sadly and turned to me. That's when I saw her eyes letting out some tears. "I…" She sighed in frustration and then she slowly placed her hands on both sides of my face. As if I was in sync with her, I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around her as she kisses me. I smiled as I opened my eyes to see Bella's smile. "What did I do to deserve you?" She said.
"I should be the one to ask that question." I said. "Bella, I know this will be hard, with this long-distance and keeping our relationship secret to the public, but remember that I am committed for the long run. I'm not going back on my word. The only thing that can stop me is if you tell me so."
Bella let out a small gasp. "Edward, that's the last thing I would ever tell you to do. You know I love you. There's no way I'm letting you go, not after our confession of our love to each other. If I didn't think we should have this relationship, I wouldn't have been able to tell you how I feel about you."
"Well I'm glad you told me how you feel." I smiled. "Otherwise, I would be having a lot of "What ifs" about what could happen if I was the first to confess my feelings to you."
"I'm glad it worked out for the both of us." Bella giggled. Then she sighed. She was about to say something, but I wasn't about hear any more of what she may be doubting on.
"Hey, no more." I said as I took her hands in mine. "I'm not gonna back down from this. Again, I'm committed for the long run. We'll communicate via texting and video chat. Whenever you are available, I'll work it out on my end. I'm very flexible. I'll talk to you every, single, day.
"You're too good for me." Bella said causing me to chuckle.
"No," I breathed. "You're worth this, and so much more."
Bella smiled as she stood up to peck me on the lips. "I love you."
"I love you."
"Guys?" Shit! I thought as Bella and I quickly let go and turned to see Jessica poking her head out the door. "Everything okay? We're waiting on you guys."
"Y-Yeah, we're just talking. Um, we'll be there in a minute." Bella said as I nodded my head vigorously. Shit, act cool. ACT COOL! I thought as Jessica was looking at us until she shrugged.
"Alright, well the boys need their quarterback so get your ass out there Edward so they can have a team." She said. That's when Alice jumped in.
"Actually, I think we should have a boys versus girls game. Just for a little fun of the gender match up." Alice smiled.
I couldn't help but chuckled. "Okay, but Jane is your problem." I said.
"You're asking for it!" Jane called out. Jessica and Alice left leaving me and Bella alone again.
"That was too close." Bella said after taking a breath of relief.
"Tell me about it." I said. "Jessica won't keep her mouth shut if she figure us out. Though I got a feeling later on she will find out in the future. She's that good of a detective."
"Really?" Bella sounded intrigued. "I bet People's magazines would love to hire her."
"Well trust me on this, if they ever take Jessica, she would be much better and fairer than Laurent and his company." I said.
"Oh, you've heard of him, huh." Bella frowned.
"Heard him, seen his work, seen what he does." I shrugged. "Don't worry, besides that I never believe any of his shit, my friends and I have Jessica to know the truth of Hollywood."
"Jessica must have really been keeping my record clean." Bella said.
I shrugged again. "She's a fan. Just like me." I smiled as did Bella. "We should get out there before my friends get suspicious." Bella agreed. We gave one last kiss and we walked outside to see everyone just waiting on us. Good thing we didn't show signs of what kept us.
We played some backyard football, guys against girls while my sister and Bella's dog watched us and cheered. We continued playing until Emmett decided to go dirty and grabbed the hose and sprayed the girls with water when they were winning. Since Emmett was dragging us boys down for his childish sportsmanship, I whipped out the water blasters and gave them to everyone minus Emmett as it became an all-out water war. After we calmed down and dried ourselves off, my parents cooked a BBQ for lunch. Afterwards, we all just chilled and talked about random things. During our time, Bella and I were being discreet on our affection to one another. Every moment Bella and I share counts and I want to make the most of it before she leaves and I try to do my best not to dread on it when the time comes. What matters is now and I'll worry about the future. Our future.
By five, it was time for dinner and my parents decided to make it a farewell dinner to Bella and her friends. Why must time be the enemy and come now? Can't Bella and I have more time? Well I knew it was gonna happen sooner or later, and thanks to the universe, it's sooner.
"Well it's time for us to go." Rosalie said after she, Bella and the others packed their bags and had them loaded into their cars.
"It was so nice to meet you all." Jessica said as we went through rounds of hugs and handshakes.
"It sure has! I haven't had this much fun in like… ever!" Victoria said.
"Really? More fun than making all that money?" Ben asked in surprised.
"Actually, that was fun. Well, one of the perks at least for a celebrity." Jacob said as Nessie was happily clinging on to Jacob's leg for a hug.
"More fun than how you guys get to go places around the world?" Heidi asked.
"I guess that was fun as well." Jasper said after putting in some thought.
"Really more fun than having those fans chasing after you?" Demetri asked in a "Really?" tone.
"Okay that part was fun having the girls throw themselves at me." Emmett said looking pleased earning a smack in the head by Rosalie. "OW!"
"After getting to you know you all, I don't know who's more of an idiot; Demetri or my monkey man here." Rosalie said, rolling her eyes as we all laughed.
"Well I'm sure Emmett has more brains and brawn than Demetri does." I sniggered causing Demetri to get behind me so quick and got me in a playful chokehold.
"Some things will never change when you guys leave." Angela said, rolling her eyes as she chuckled.
"That may be, but it was fun hanging out with you guys without the paparazzi and fans coming at us." Bella smiled as she hugged my sister. "Plus we got to enjoy our vacation from Hollywood."
"You'll call me, right?" Nessie asked.
"Of course." Bella smiled.
"I'll call you every day if you want, Ness." Jacob smiled to her as she made him do a pinky swear causing Jacob to chuckle.
That's when a doorbell rang. Who could that be? I thought as my dad went to answer it.
"I was wondering if we're going to see you again." I hear him say. That's when he came back with no other than the man himself.
"Oh my gosh Charlie!" Jane exclaimed as my friends got excited to see him, as did mom.
"You thought I was gonna leave without saying goodbye?" Charlie smiled.
"Well somehow, after knowing Alice, I suspected she knew something and wanted to surprised us all." I smirked at Alice causing her to playfully stick her tongue at me.
"So you guys ready to head back home?" Charlie said after giving my friends and family some hugs and handshakes.
"I guess so." Jasper said.
"Hold on!" Jessica said and then whipped out her phone so fast causing Seth and Alec to ducked down so quick. "We need a group photo for this!"
"Ooh perfect!" Alice said excitedly. Nessie joined me and all my friends as we gathered together as Charlie, Esme and Carlisle took many photos with our phones we gave them to use. All the photos would show me and Bella close together where we discreetly held hands. Soon after my friends and I got some pictures with Bella, her friends and Charlie, everyone started saying goodbye.
"Thanks for having us over." Bella said to my parents as Charlie and her friends left.
As my mom pulled Bella, embracing her for a hug, I felt a tap on my shoulders and I turned to see Seth getting my attention. "We're gonna play some Madden on Xbox. Wanna join?"
"Let's go! I'm ready to smoke you guys!" I hear Jane say. Oh boy.
"Seth, can you control my sister? Even I can't get her to calm down." Alec called.
"Better yet, can we just tie her up and lock her out? OW!" Demetri cried. Those are my friends you guys.
"I'll join you guys in a minute." I said. Seth nodded and went into the media room. I turned to see Charlie coming up to me.
"It was a pleasure to meet you son." He smiled as he shook my held. I was seriously flattered how he called me son. "Let me know when you got another game. I'll be sure to attend."
"Sure thing, Charlie." I said. I felt a tug on my pant leg and I looked down to see Fluff trying to get my attention. I chuckled as I scooped her up and let her lick my face. I carried her over after Bella was done talking to my parents. "Well, this is it." I said to her.
"Yeah." Bella said as I gave her Fluff in her arms. Bella bit her lips as she looked down, causing me to place my fingers under her chin and lifted her up to look at me.
I kissed her left cheek and then her right. I paused for a moment, because what I'm about to do next, I want to… yet I don't because I'm afraid for this to end. I then placed my lips on hers causing her to react and kiss me back.
I sighed when we pulled back for some air. "I love you."
"I love you." Bella said.
"I'll call you every day." I said. "You'll text me when you arrive?"
"I will." Bella said. "I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too." I said and saw that Charlie was at the front door, patiently waiting. "Well, I don't want to keep everyone waiting."
"Yeah." Bella sighed and then picked up her bag and kept Fluff in her arms and turned to where the front door is.
"Hey," Bella turned to me. "I'll see you soon."
Bella smiled. "Hopefully sooner." She said. I gave her one last kiss. Bella said goodbye to my parents and Renesmee and made her way to Charlie. Charlie said goodbye and left. We waved him goodbye as Bella turned to us, her eyes on me though, one last time before she was out the door with Fluff in her arms as the door closed behind her.
And just like that, I miss her already.
Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing well on a new year! Well okay, minus how that riot at the capitol that Trump caused but at least he's no longer president and Biden is about to make things right. But anyway, now Edward and Bella had a sweet moment being together until it was time to separate and the challenge of their relationship is about to begin. Fingers crossed that things go well.
Also, I created an Instagram account for you guys to keep up with me and know when I update my stories of the next chapter. My IG username is .21 (would've been just FireRed21 but IG claims that it's unavailable meaning it's "taken" smh). I also made a Facebook group for you all to join, "FireRed21's Shrouded In Twilight FanFiction" where you can all share fanfictions for others to read, let us know if the writer updated their stories, talk other Twilight related topics ,and of course hear from me of when I will update my stories and such. And now for something big. I figured out what I can do for you guys to celebrate my five year anniversary of being on FanFiction and writing stories to you all, even though it was long overdue. I've decided to do a podcast, suggested by my friend who heard about what I do and thinks I should do it so I figured, why not! I haven't started yet but I got everything I needed to do a podcast. I will be talking about Twilight fanfiction and Twilight related subjects, you name it. I will let you know when the podcast is ready and I hope you guys will listen to it. In the meantime, join my social media accounts, and keep up with my stories and leave a review.
