Edward's POV
"How about this?" I asked, showing Bella one of my dress shirts in a color of light blue having thin red stripes.
"I don't know," Bella said, sitting on my bed. "The stripes might standout more than you think. Plus, well, this is just my opinion meaning I'm not taking any shots at Forks, but you don't want to represent what the city is known for."
"Fair point." I said as I hung that shirt back in the closet.
It's Sunday evening and I am at home in my room with Bella as we are once again spending time together. Right now, Bella is helping me on what to wear on Wednesday. That day is when at school I will be making the announcement on what school I will play football at. The decision of where has been set in stone. I'm nervous about this. Maybe it's because I'm worried about how people will take it on the news. Or maybe it's because of how other schools will be disappointed that I chose not to play for them.
"You okay? You're not nervous, are you?" Bella asked.
"A little bit." I said as I pulled out a black dress shirt. "But every star athlete goes through this every year so I'm ready for the big announcement."
"If you say so, but that's not what I'm talking about." Bella said and I turned to her in confusion. "I'm talking about us, and you being in school now." I had a feeling she would want to talk about that.
Ever since the championship, the whole world found out about my relationship with Bella. How we were followed, I don't know. I thought I was being discreet but I guess not well enough. Now not only Forks will be talking about us, but the whole world as well now that they know. I mean this is me being the guy who Bella Swan is dating. To say getting out of the situation after the championship would be an understatement. Charlie and Alice quickly pulled their magic to get Bella and myself along with my family out of the stadium with security and back home without being hounded by the media before the paparazzi could come. Although it's only a matter of time before they come here in Forks for some questioning about who I am. I knew Bella was worried about this. She looked as if it is her fault for what is happening. It wasn't. She kept apologizing to me and my family over and over when we got home, how she shouldn't have done what we did. My parents assured her that it was okay and we all got home safe. Even though that's true, it's far from over. The drama is just getting started.
Maybe we should've done things differently. We were planning to tell everyone about our relationship until New Years and until then, we keep things secret from the public, but now that they know before we even got to tell them, our relationship is going to make headlines for everyone to know. I just hope things don't go badly for either of us.
"Love, I told you, it wasn't your fault for what happened." I assured her.
"I know, but I'm worried about how everyone's going to treat you at school." Bella said. "They're going to be hounding you with questions or maybe worse. Remember when you told me how one of your classmates was trying to find out who you are dating? I'm sure there's no doubt he might give you a hard time."
"If you're talking about Mike, I have no trouble dealing with him." I scoffed. I mean Mike may give me a hard time but it's not like he's superior over me. Plus, what can he do now that he knows I'm dating the girl he's hoping to be with who he has zero chances with?
"Edward, this is serious!" Bella exasperated. "People are going to treat you differently now that they know about us."
"Bella, I get what you're trying to say, but I lived in the city of Forks since I was born. Everyone here knows who I am, meaning they know me better. That would mean that even if I were to make it into the NFL, they should know that I'm not some arrogant asshole quarterback who think he's big shit just because he's good, as evidence enough from how I've played for my team for four years." I said as I sat down next to her. "My friends know I'm still me, my family knows that, everyone at school should know that."
Bella sighed. "Okay, I understand. If you're not worried about it, then I shouldn't be. Just… please be careful. You never know what people could do, even to those closest to you."
"I will." I kissed her lips. "Our relationship was bound to be discovered sooner or later, and now it's sooner." Bella was about to say something, but I knew what it was and I pressed a finger on her mouth. "Nope, none of that. What happened, happened and we can't change that. Let's just focus on us and the future."
"Fine." Bella said as she got up. "I should go. I'll see you on Thursday for Thanksgiving." I nodded as I got up and walked her downstairs out the door. We gave one last kiss before she left and I closed the door. I sighed, hoping I am right.
The next morning came and I've gone through my usual morning routine before I drove to school. I wish Bella was here with me now. I could use her present to feel assure that my day will go well. I'm just anxious of what to expect upon my arrival.
I arrived at the parking lot where I was surprised to see all my friends there all together, waiting for me. And not like the "casual chit chat until we all meet up waiting for me" waiting for me kind, it's the actual waiting for me as they're expecting my arrival as if they've planned it.
"Hey guys," I greeted them as I got out of my car with my bag ready. "What's going on?"
"Nothing. Just waiting for you." Ben shrugged. I just stared at them all and knew something was up with the way they are looking at me.
"Okay cut the crap, what's happening? Are they here already?" I asked, referring to the paparazzi.
"No Edward, it's not like that." Heidi answered with a sigh.
"According to my sister, there hasn't been a trace of the paparazzi in Forks. But she is having the police force be on the lookout for them." Seth explained.
"Then why the hell are you guys looking at me like I'm about to split myself into two so suddenly?" I asked with a little annoyance.
"We're just here to be with you." Angela answered causing me to be confused.
"With what you and Bella did at the championship and now everyone knowing you two are together, there's no doubt that people are going to be talking about you the most." Jessica explained.
"And this isn't like how people in Forks normally do when they hear the news in the city. This here will never go away. They'll be talking about this for at least a year." Jane said.
"Just think of us as… body guards. Only we're with you for… moral support." Demetri said as he flung his arm over my shoulder.
"Come on, we better get going." Alec said as I sighed. Time to face the music. I thought as we approached the front doors.
The second we walked inside, the usual commotion of chit chatting was suddenly cut off. Hallways filled with students amongst each other suddenly turned heads in our direction. Unfuckingbelievable. I thought as my friends and I started walking. As we did, whispering came.
"Is it really true?"
"Edward is dating THE Bella Swan?"
"They've actually been together for a while."
"When did this happen?"
"How did it happen, that's the question."
"I guess everything's starting to make sense. Remember Edward was dating a girl named Isabella?"
"What is going on though?
"How did Edward score with Bella?"
"Are they really dating?"
"Why did Bella chose Edward?"
"Just ignore them, Edward." Jessica whispered to me as if she knew what I was going to do. "Everyone's making a lot of speculation about you and Bella. They're trying to get a rise out of you."
"Why would they want that from me?" I asked as I was starting to get piss now.
"Edward, Bella's an A-list celebrity who is an actress and singer, already being nominated for eight Grammy awards. You, who is not well known except in Forks, is leaving everyone in disbelief about it. There are some who are questioning about how it happen, and mostly those who believe you two are faking the relationship." Jane explained.
"You have got to be fucking kidding me!" I said in disbelief.
"Chill man," Alec said putting a hand on my shoulder to calm me down. "People are just shocked to find out about the truth. It's probably their way to take in the information before they can accept it."
"Just ignore them." Ben advised me.
"Although you can't ignore him." Seth said and we all stopped to be facing none other than Mike with Tyler and Austin behind him. Oh fan-fucking-tastic. I thought.
"So it's really true?" Tyler asked me. "You and Bella are indeed dating?"
"Since you and everyone are so curious, yes, Bella and I are dating." I answered in annoyance.
"Damn." Austin said with a whistle.
"I'm not buying it!" Mike announced.
"Like I asked for you to believe me or not." I said, rolling my eyes.
"No way Bella Swan is dating you!" Mike said.
"And what's wrong with Bella dating Edward?" Demetri asked, coming in front of me, giving Mike a glare.
"Bella is supposed to go out with me so that I will be famous, and yet Cullen here as always, stole my moment by asking her out like he always does by stealing the spotlight!" Mike said, being pissed.
"Like she ever wanted to go out with you." Ben said in annoyance.
"She did! She said so! She was so into me! I asked her out on the night of the championship, and Cullen took her away from me just like how he got me kicked off the team!" Mike complained.
"Okay the reason why you got kicked off the team wasn't because of Edward, it's because of how you sucked ass since freshmen year and how you acted towards the team thinking this is about you! It's not!" Demetri responded. "Did you not hear how everyone from our school was booing at you?!"
"They were booing at the team for making me look bad!" Mike said. Oh for fuck's sake. I thought with frustration.
"Mike, you did that all on your own." Alec said, rolling his eyes.
"And besides, in case you didn't know since you were too shocked from the news, Edward and Bella have been dating since September. So Edward did not technically steal Bella from you." Jessica said.
"There's no way Bella would date Cullen! What has he done for her?!" Mike stated.
"Okay, why are we even bothering with you since you're so dense and in denial?" Alec said like he's giving up.
"I don't know what you're up to Cullen and I have no fucking clue what you did to make Bella go out with you, but she won't be with you for long once she sees what a great guy I am better than you!" Mike declared.
"First, you were trying to make a big deal on how I kept the news of me having a girlfriend a secret, and now you're accusing me of forcing Bella into a relationship?" I said in anger. "I didn't force or use her for anything other than me showing how much I love her!"
"Oh please, like you ever love a girl." Mike scoffed. "I've seen how you've been dumping girls left and right. You'll do the same for Bella! Or maybe she'll leave you since she never has love you!" Just as the guys grabbed me from launching myself at Mike,
"Is there a problem?" A calm but stern voice asked and we turned to see Alec and Jane's father walking towards us.
"I suggest that you all get to class as school is about to start very soon." Aro said to us all and then I saw him gave a look to Alec and Jane.
"Come on." Jane said as she grabbed my arm leading me around passed Mike with the rest of my friends behind us.
"And that's Edward number nine hundred and forty-nine against Mike number three." Ben commented.
"Way to keep your head down." Jane said to me sarcastically
"Well excuse me if Mike had gotten under my skin! I just can't fucking believe that he would accuse me of using Bella!" I said, gritting my teeth. "Not to mention how he think he knows what Bella wants! He's being like… like…"
"Renee?" Seth asked. I nodded my head when it makes sense remembering how Renee doesn't approve of my relationship with Bella and how controlling she is to think she knows what's best for her. "Dude, don't worry about it. Mike is just jealous that you're dating Bella and he's not. Not to mention how he keeps failing to score a date or the fact that he never keeps his hands to himself." He added.
"Listen Edward, it's a dog eat dog world." Jessica explained. "People live to talk, especially gossiping on the big news. They will chose whether or not to believe you and Bella are really in love with each other. That's their opinions after all." That's when we all stopped and everyone was around me.
"Edward, people were going to know about this one day, and they would still react to how they are now if you and Bella had announced your relationship later on." Angela said.
"Again, people react to a lot of things and they can express how they feel." Ben said.
"And that is where gossip comes in. They can come up with a lot of things to make others believe about you and Bella." Jessica said.
"All of that is to label you to whether the world views you as a good or bad person." Jane said.
"But it'll get worse to how people treat you if you react like the way you did with Mike earlier. That will highlight you not in a good way. Just keep your head down and ignore people." Alec advised me.
"The more you let this get to you, the more people will probably hate on you and that will make things difficult for you and Bella, much will it be good for Renee." Heidi said rolling her eyes in the end.
"Just do what you normally do with your life like nothing has ever happened. Focus on getting ready to announce which school you'll be going to on Wednesday and being ready for baseball season." Demetri said as I nodded my head after a brief thought.
"And also man, everyone has their thoughts about you and Bella, but the people who know about your relationship and believe in you two are Bella's friends, Charlie, your family, and us. We got your back and we will always be there for you." Seth said and with that the warning bell rang causing us to split to our classes.
As I entered in Spanish, everyone minus the teacher turned their heads in my direction, I ignored them and went to my seat and wait for class to begin.
Maybe my friends are right. I mean, what did Bella and I expect? That everyone would be happy about us being together like candies and sunshine? Mike was just an example of it. Then again, Mike has always been a complete asshole. But aside from him, people will later on accept my relationship with Bella. They have to. I mean, why treat me so differently now? I'm still the same down to earth Edward Cullen, regular eighteen year old kid and star quarterback who won the fucking championship for god's sakes. People have known me since I was in diapers. I'd never let my status as a quarterback get into my head and I am certainly not going to let this fame get into my head either. People need to see that.
Let's hope my friends are right. I thought as the teacher started the class.
School went by in a drag as all people at school were talking about is me and Bella. They continue to whisper about me everywhere I go. Even though I did what my friends suggested and ignored them, it doesn't help the nagging feeling at how everyone is talking about me more than Mike calling me out every time I see him that I don't belong with Bella. Mike, I can understand but what the fuck is wrong with everyone today? You think that being in Forks, people will move on from the subject on me and Bella and talk about something else. Well, guess I'm wrong because it's all the talk around Forks. The subject continues on the next day.
More whisperings came everywhere I go. People continue to look at me strangely. The people I knew here are acting differently towards me. What the fuck! It's like I'm in an alternate universe. Everyone is treating me differently about me dating Bella. There's no, "Congratulations on dating America's Princess," or the usual "How have you been, Edward?" None of it. Why are people acting this way? Do they have something against a regular guy dating a celebrity or did Renee spread rumors about me? If that's the case, then fuck her! If she's going to continue to try and ruin my relationship with her daughter then she can forget it. It's going to take a lot more than to make me leave Bella.
Despite all of it, it doesn't mean I can't ignore it all if I could. Normally, I would tune them out but I guess the more I tried, the more intense the talking gets. There are times where I would google myself to see what the media has to say about me. Not surprising, there was nothing at all that shows positivity about our relationship. It's only talking about us in a way like "Who is Edward Cullen?", "What does Edward Cullen even do?", "How did America's Princess fell for him?" or even bullshit rumors that there is trouble in paradise with me and Bella saying we might have broken up. And that's due to the fact that Bella and I haven't been seen together since the championship. That one was caused by Laurent and his media company. And I guess that's where the treatment comes from with people questioning what I did to Bella. Even Mike tried to point out as if he was right but I brushed it off. May I point out the obvious that I'm in high school in Forks and Bella is busy with her schedule back in L.A. and many other places? Where is the damn proof that Bella and I are having relationship problems?! And yet people believe Laurent like he's a… god. What bullshit! Do they not see what he has done ruining many of the celebrities' lives and careers? How fucking stupid are they? How can I show everyone that none of what they see and hear are true?
…
I guess I have no fucking clue then. I will just have to focus on my life and future like what's happening now.
Here I am in the locker room at school on Wednesday where I am getting dressed up and ready for the big day. Today is the national signing where I get to announce my decision on what school I will play for in football. It's being broadcast live in front of the whole school at the gymnasium where everyone is going to watch. Right now, Bella is Face Timing me as she is watching it personally for herself.
"Does your hair ever stay down?" Bella asked in amusement.
"Not really." I said as I was getting my dark blue neck tie on, which is really difficult. "The one time I actually tried to get it flatten, it was a fucking disaster for picture day in the seventh grade. Since then, I just let it be."
"Maybe Alice and Rosalie could do it for you." Bella giggled from the screen.
"God no." I said with a shudder. "Alice will just give me a total makeover and I'm just getting ready for the event that will only last for like half and hour. And Rosalie… I don't think she would want to help me."
"I'm sure she does." Bella said causing me to turn to her with a raised eyebrow.
"I don't mean no disrespect, love, but out of all your friends, Rosalie doesn't seem to be the kind of person who accepts me as someone in her group." I said causing Bella to sigh.
"Look, I know Rose can be a bit cold and may seem like she's all about her reputation and everything, but she's not like my mom." She said. "She's a good person and is very loyal to those she cares about. She's just worried about me and how we might end up in the future."
"I know that, Rosalie seems to accept me but she appears to want to distant herself from me and I don't want to push it." I said.
"I understand." Bella said with a sad look as if she feels bad.
"Love, I don't mean to make you feel bad. Don't worry about it. She's okay with us so that's all that matters." I said.
"Alright." Bella said. "Are you ready?"
"Time for the big moment everyone is waiting for." I answered to her with a smile. "It's show time." Once I was sure I looked good and ready to go, I picked up my phone, still on Face Time, and walked out of the locker room where my family is there waiting for me, along with Aro.
"Are you ready?" Carlisle asked with a smile.
"Most definitely." I answered while nodding.
"Just know that we are proud of you and that we will always support you on your choice." Esme said as she came up to kiss my cheek.
"And I will be your number one cheerleader!" Renesmee said excitedly causing me to chuckle.
"Thank you." I smiled and then look at Bella's face on my phone. "This is it." I said to her.
"Go knock 'em, champ." Bella smiled. My mom held out her hand and I handed her my phone.
"It's time." Aro said as he ushered me to follow him. I did so as we walked over to the stage where Coach Clapp is along with Demetri, Alec, Ben and Seth and the other coaches of our school are around the table. Along with where the microphone is being placed, there were five hats in front of it; cardinal and white for Stanford, purple and yellow gold for Louisiana State University, green and yellow for University of Oregon, purple and dark gold for University of Washington, and crimson and white for Alabama. "After you." He smiled as I nodded and made my way to the table.
As soon as I made my appearance, I was welcomed with applause and cheers and I turned my head to see the entire bleacher section filled with students and faculty, cheering me on. I can see signs and banners with my name on it as everyone was making noises for this big occasion. Although I was happy for the way everyone is cheering for me, I can feel as if all of it was… forced. Normally, the cheers, the energy, the enthusiasm, it was ten times more than how everyone gets excited when it comes to football at our school like the 12s at the Seahawks game. Now, with the way I see everyone in the stands are cheering, it sounds as if everyone is only cheering for me is for the occasion, not because of me. And I think I know why. I guess some things do change.
I just put on a smile as I waved to the crowd and made my way towards the table where my teammates greeted me until I came to coach last as we shook hands before I took a seat. Once the crowd quiets down, coach took the mic and introduced the school and the viewers watching us live about the big event as he goes on about me, my story, my history as a quarterback and how much I've made an impact on the school. Coach went on to add how proud he is of me and wishing me the best of luck for my future. After the applause were made, coach turned to me as he placed the mic in front of me.
"Alright Edward, the time is now." He said to me with a smile. "What's it going to be? Where are you going to play next year?" I nodded my head as I looked around where my coaches and teammates are who smiled big. I looked to my left to see Aro with my parents and sister and Bella who my mom has on my phone as it's facing me. I then turned to the audience and cameras, took a deep breath, and began.
"Well first and foremost, I would like to thank my family and friends, my supporters, and coaches, but most of all, the entire Forks High crew, for everything that has happened these last four years. I wouldn't be the player that I am today if it weren't for all the love and support you all have given me. I am forever grateful to Forks High for given me a chance to lead this team to win two championships. No matter where I go, I will forever be a Forks High Titan." I said with a smile as the applauses were made along with a few whistles and chants, except this time, the enthusiasm was back, like how it was before people found out about me and Bella. Maybe things haven't changed.
"Speaking of where I go, I guess it's time to announce my decision." I said as everyone watches me with intense silence. "For the next four years," I moved my hand over the purple and yellow gold hat and then moved over to the purple and dark gold one, picking it up. "I will be attending my parent's alma mater, moving up to Seattle as I play for the University of Washington. Let's go Huskies!" That's when the cheers erupted from the bleachers along with the cheers around me as I hear my team mates shot confetti launchers of purple and gold from behind me. As the school celebrated on my decision to continue playing football, I looked at where my family are and had my attention on my phone in my mom's hands where I saw Bella's face on the screen as she smile, beamingly at me. I smiled at her as I waved to her and the crowd.
Soon afterwards, the guys made their announcement on where they'll play next year and that they will be play with me in the University of Washington, not that anyone is surprised to hear that. The Elite Four and leader of The Pack aren't separating for a while. After that was done, everyone in the school left the gymnasium while the guys and I went to the locker room to change. Everyone said that they were going to wait for me back home so that's what I did where I changed out of my outfit and into some regular clothes. I gathered my things and exited the empty locker room and came out to see the entire gymnasium deserted.
Or so I thought.
"Edward!"
I looked around when I heard a girl's voice and was met with an incredibly beautiful girl with long curly strawberry blonde hair waving at me with a smile, who I recognized immediately.
"Tanya!" I exclaimed as I dropped my things and caught her when she jumped onto me for a hug as I spun around happily to see my cousin. "What are you doing here?" I asked when I let her down. "We don't get to see you and your family until winter break. Wait, let me guess, your parents have no clue that you're here, do they." I teased causing Tanya to giggle.
"No doofus," She said, smacking my arm. "They know where I am." I raised an eyebrow. "Fine!" She huffed. "We all came here but they don't know where I went. I snuck out to see you." She said as I chuckled.
"So what brings you and your family to Forks?" I asked.
"My dad is transferring law firms. With new attorneys being hired, dad was given a promotion as he was selected to join a new firm that is being opened here in Forks." Tanya answered with a smile. "They've actually been going through with the process since the summer. Daddy starts his new job next week."
"So wait, are you guys relocating here?" I asked excitedly.
"Our moms will be working together and my sisters and I will be attending Forks High with you next week!" Tanya exclaimed.
"That's amazing!" I said as I gave her another hug with a spin. "It'll be great to have you here! And I'm sure the guys will be happy to see you again. You haven't seen my friends in like three years."
"Yes, I can't wait! We have to go back to Alaska though for Thanksgiving from dad's side of the family as always. Sure, Forks won't be as glamorous here, but at least I will have you." Tanya shrugged.
"So that's the only reason why you came?" I teased. "Besides, it's not that bad here, if you count rainy days."
"Yeah, yeah, I know where you're going with it, the famous Slayward quarterback who thinks he will make it into the NFL." Tanya said in a playful sarcastic way.
"I don't think, I know." I smirked, earning a smack from Tanya causing me to laugh as I picked up my things and we started walking out together.
"Speaking of fame, care to tell me about you and a certain celebrity we all know and love?" Tanya asked playfully. Of course.
"Well, sorry you had to hear the news about me and Bella over the news." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes as we exited the gym.
"Oh, we didn't hear it from them." Tanya shrugged causing me to look at her in confusion. "We've heard about you two a long time ago before you guys got caught. You're mom told my mom."
"Unfuckingbelievable." I said in disbelief. I should've known how close my mom and aunt are. They love to talk and also gossip.
"Hey, you couldn't hide it from her, you thought you could keep your relationship from everyone else?" Tanya said.
"Okay for the record, we were planning on telling the public about me and Bella on New Year's, we just thought we were being discreet at the time. And also my mom suspected about Bella and I being in love before we even went out on our first date." I defended.
"And yet you didn't bother to tell me, your favorite cousin, about it?" Tanya asked, feigning a hurt expression.
"Who says you're my favorite? I'm kidding!" I laughed when Tanya was about to raise a hand again just as we existed the building and into the empty parking lot with only a few cars; mine and most likely the faculty of the school
"Okay, on a serious note, what's been going on? How are you handling now that you're the famous boyfriend of Bella Swan?" Tanya asked. Famous? Am I really that famous for people to talk at me like I don't even exist?
I sighed. "Honestly, I don't know. I mean, I don't have the paparazzi following me right now," I began.
"But?" Tanya drawn out.
"But everyone has started to treat me… different." I said.
"How so?"
"A lot of ways. Some are in shock, some want to know what's going on, some don't even think Bella and I are actually dating for real. It upsets me on how people are acting this way." I said.
"Well what did you expect?" Tanya asked.
"I don't know… not acting like how Bella's mother acts towards me." I said in frustration.
"Edward, you can't expect everyone to be okay with your relationship with Bella. I mean, this isn't like a story book you write and make people act like how you want them to be. They have their reasons to behave this way." Tanya said.
"Well then why does everyone have to act this way? I mean I'm not trying to brag or anything, but people know who I am here and they should know me better about what's going on with me and Bella." I said.
"Why do you care about what others say about you and Bella?" Tanya asked rendering me unable to respond.
"I… I… I just…"
Now Tanya had me. Why do I care now about what people say about me and Bella? I didn't have a problem when Renee was trying to get me to leave Bella. She couldn't stop me when I came to Bella's birthday party, she wasn't stopping me when she made Bella go through the fake relationship with Rider and yes, she did pissed me off for how she tried to bribe me to end things with Bella. So I didn't care what Renee thinks about our relationship, so why should I care about what other people, whether I know them or not, think about me and Bella?
"I think from what your mom told my mom is that because of the way Bella's mother treats you, you seem to handle her just fine, and she's one of the most famous actresses in the world. Handling her, one on one, seems to be no problem to you. Now that everyone knows about you and Bella, you're dealing this sort of thing against the world. Yes, people know who you are, but that was before they knew you're dating Bella. So yeah, they're going to act differently towards you but it's not like they're going to change the way they treat you, right?" Tanya said.
Now Tanya has a good point. Just like my friends were trying to tell me. People are going to act the way they are about me and Bella but it's not like they are going to completely change their way towards me. I mean, look at Mike. He's been a dick to me since we were kids and he's being jealous that I got the girl he failed to score with. And still, he's the same old prick I know and hate. So maybe it shouldn't matter to me what everyone thinks or what they believe. I love Bella, she loves me. Our friends and family, minus Renee, supports our relationship and that's all that matters. Nothing can change that.
"I guess you're right. Thanks, Tanya. I needed that." I said with a small smile.
"You're welcome. And I know I'm right." Tanya smiled big, causing me to roll my eyes.
"You're always trying to show off of what you know more than your beauty. Don't let that get into your head when you arrive in school." I said causing her to laugh.
"Hey, it's not my fault I know things." She says.
"You need to stop spending so much time with your dad then." I chuckled as we arrived at my car. "How did you get here anyway?" I asked as I look around to find any unfamiliar vehicles.
"Um… I caught an Uber." Tanya asked embarrassingly. Same old ditzy Tanya. I thought as I teasingly rolled my eyes. "While my family were with daddy to make things official at his new firm, I snuck out when I got bored and decided to find you." At that moment, her phone rang and she pulled it out with an unfortunate look. "Oh damn." She said when she saw who is calling causing me to chuckle.
"Come on," I said as I opened the back of my car to throw my stuff in. "I'll give you a ride back."
"Edward, you're the best!" Tanya said in relief.
"Only because I'm your favorite cousin right?" I teased causing Tanya to giggle as she came over to hug me and plant a kiss on my cheek. "Let's go." I said as we got into my car and pulled out of the parking lot and hit the road.
The news about me and Bella continues to go on, and many of the people here at Forks are talking about me on how someone like me could even get a girl like Bella. They continue on to question about me and Bella whether or not our love is real. If you thought that was upsetting, try dealing with the media who now found you and are trying to ask you numerous questions. Guess they now caught up to me. At least I haven't encountered the paparazzi. Those guys are sleazeballs when it comes to making headlines on celebrities. Who knows what they'll say about me, or even what picture they'll catch me under. Well that's what they are; sleazy, disgusting low-lives who think they can do what they want by invading people and their privacy and make up some bullshit without any resources or references needed, not caring who they hurt or ruin as long as they get the money. It's because of them many celebrities tries to clear things up when people believe what the paparazzi write.
Thankfully, after talking with Tanya, I took her and my friends' words of keeping my head down and staying cool. I ignore the people who "whisper" as I walk by, and pretended that the media crew who shout questions at me, aren't even there. I even had help from Bella and her friends, mostly Jasper. He and I had been talking over the phone and talked me through it on dealing with the sudden fame. Telling me how to stay calm in certain situations and avoid causing a scene with the paparazzi. That, I hope not to worry since I haven't really come across one of them yet but they better not fuck with me and my family. Well, hopefully at some point, all of this will go away. I just want some peace from all of this and enjoy my life and Bella.
It is Thanksgiving Day and here I am sitting at the front door waiting. My family are hosting Thanksgiving with my friends and their family at my place. We invited Bella and her friends to join us, but Emmett and Rosalie are spending it with Emmett's family while Jasper and Alice's family are doing it together and Jacob is spending it with his family and his girlfriend. So Bella and Charlie are the ones coming over… and Renee.
Yep. She's coming. Somehow, Bella was able to get Renee to come spend the holiday with us normal folks, but I'm not looking forward to this. I was kind of hoping she would say no due to her "schedule," but I guess Bella must have worn her down. The question is, will she behave or change her ways about me.
I haven't seen Renee since our little "talk" at SkyCity. She made it clear that she doesn't like me at Bella's birthday party, she was hoping to erase me from the picture when she tried to make use of the scandal that Rider caused, and now she made it her mission to get rid of me by all means. And because of how Bella and I were exposed of our relationship, Renee, according to Bella, Charlie, and everyone else, … well, Renee flipping out would be an understatement. From what Jessica told me, Renee feels like everything is falling apart in her family as the Swan name is being ruined, and she blames it all on me all because of our relationship being exposed to the public. Renee never made comments about me and Bella towards the media but I heard from Jessica how Renee is pointing fingers at me with all sorts of bullshit such as using Bella for my own use, embarrassing them because I'm not famous, that I shouldn't be trusted, etc. Frankly, my feelings of Renee are mutual to hers. I never liked her before I met Bella and unless Renee changes her ways, she will be my least favorite person.
But, I have to suck it up. Thanksgiving is a time for family and since Renee is Bella's mother, I have to put up with her. It's Renee trying to put up with me I have to worry about.
I looked up with I saw a vehicle pull over and sure enough it was Bella and her parents. I got up when they got out of the car all dressed up. I can hear Renee make out an "Ugh" sound when she saw my house. Deep breaths, Cullen. Deep breaths.
"Hello, love." I greeted Bella as I welcomed her with a quick kiss. I hear a scoff made out by Renee and Bella and I broke apart for me to see Charlie hiss something at Renee. I will not piss off Bella and Charlie. I will NOT piss off Bella and Charlie. My thoughts were interrupted by a bark and I looked to see who was in Bella's bag.
"And hello, Fluff." I smiled at the dog as she somehow got out of the bag and right into my arms trying to lick my face causing Bella and I to laugh. "Charlie, good to see you again." I said, giving out a hand for him to shake.
"Pleasure to see you as always, son. Happy Thanksgiving." Charlie said with a smile. I nodded and turned to Renee.
"Hello, Renee." I said, politely.
"Edward." She said shortly with her arms crossed, looking at me like I was some dirty boy that dripped mud on her shoes. One, two, three and stay calm. I thought.
"Shall we go in then?" Bella asked as I saw the worry in her eyes.
"Yes," I said as I took her hand while holding Fluff in my other arm. "Everyone else is inside."
I led them to the front door. The sound came out when I opened it and it was filled with voices coming from friends and family who are here. There, we were greeted by my friends along with many of the guests who all took the time to meet the Swans. Although Renee smiled from the attention, she kept the interaction to a minimum. Is she like this to her fans when they meet her?
"Bella!" Renesmee cheered as she happily ran over to give her a hug.
"Hello, Renesmee!" Bella smiled as she returned the hug. That's when Fluff barked happily.
"Fluff!" Renesmee exclaimed as Fluff jumped out of my arms causing me to spluttered when her tail hit my face as my sister caught the puppy in her arms. "Hehehe, I miss you." She said as Fluff was licking her.
"And Fluff misses you too. Now both of you try to stay out of trouble, okay?" Bella smiled.
"Okay!" Renesmee said as she took off while carrying Fluff.
"No running in the house!" Esme called out before she turned her head and walked towards us with Carlisle. "Hello again you guys." She smiled as she hugged Bella and Charlie. Carlisle did the same but gave out a man hug to Charlie after they shook hands.
"And you must be Renee." Carlisle said to her.
"Obviously." Renee said coldly with her arms crossed.
"It's nice to finally meet you." Esme smiled as she held out her hand. Renee just grunted, not unfolding her arms. Unbelievable. "Well Charlie, most of the guys are in the media room watching the game, you may join them. Bella, I would love some extra hands in the kitchen you don't mind. I already got the girls involved." She said, still maintaining that smile, though I can tell she was putting on the act now from sincere, to faking it.
"I don't see Bella has to be involved since you got all the help you need. This is your house after all, you don't need your guests to do your work." Renee snorted causing me to glare at her for thinking that way.
"I'd be happy to help." Bella said as she rubbed my arm to calm me down. She kissed my cheeked and whispered into my ear. "I'll see you in a bit." She said and went into the kitchen.
"Why don't you join the others in the living room Renee? They're just chatting and having some wine." Esme smiled to her. Renee didn't say anything as she speed walked her way into the kitchen. The second she was gone, my mother dropped her smile as she sighed deeply before putting it back on and followed her into the kitchen.
"Lovely." Carlisle said as we headed to the media room.
"I apologized about my wife you guys." Charlie said with a sigh. "And I'll apologize in advanced for whatever happens next."
"There's no need to apologize, Charlie." I assured him.
"I agree, although I mean no offense to you, Charlie, but your wife is… a piece of work." Carlisle commented.
"Honestly, I was hoping she wouldn't come." Charlie said. "But Bella is as stubborn as ever and she somehow got her mother to spend the holidays with you guys. The car ride here was bad enough."
"Renee is still not handling about our relationship being exposed so well?" I asked.
"She continues bitching about it and rants on about how you're "responsible" for it." Charlie said while shaking his head. "Don't worry about what she says, okay Edward? Or how she acts."
"Oh I'm not worried about her, it's when will she ever accept me is the problem." I said. Charlie nodded as I noticed his expression that he's thinking about something. Although, I can't quite be accurate on what.
We entered the media room where the guys are along with the rest of the boys and men of the family as the Buffalo Bills play against the Dallas Cowboys on the big screen. A lot of noises were made when we just saw Josh Allen scored a touchdown to the rookie tight end Dawson Knox.
"Damn, how can you blow coverage on third down from fifty yards?" Demetri, laughed.
"Obviously, dem Boys thought they were going to run it off tackle." Ben laughed.
"That's why they went for a zero blitz stupidly having every defender rushing the play and a lobe defensive back remaining in coverage." Alec laughs.
"They should've just put the nickelback in the backfield." Seth said simply as he sips his soda. I sat down with my friends as Charlie joined the other man with my dad who handed him a can of Heineken as we all watched the game.
After the halftime show was over and with five minutes left in the game in where the Bills are kicking the Cowboys' ass by eleven points, Bella came into the room.
"Hey." She greeted me with a kiss.
"Hey." I said and noticed something. "Everything okay?" I asked in concern when I noticed how stressed she looked.
"I'm fine. Just a lot of work that needed to be done in the kitchen." Bella assured me but I can tell that can't be it. Because I know my mother isn't the type of person to go overboard on certain occasions. And I have feeling I know what. "Anyway, I came to tell you all that the food is ready and it's time to eat."
"Did you say the food is ready?" Seth said suddenly when he whipped his head to us so fast. Without warning, Seth quickly got up and dashed out of the room. Sheesh.
"That boys sure let's his stomach do all the thinking." Aro chuckled as we all got up and exited the media room.
"Love, what's going on? You seem a bit frustrated." I said.
"It's nothing, really. No big deal." Bella shrugged it off.
"Bella." I stopped her, making us feel behind while everyone else went into the kitchen. Bella sighed.
"My mother. Do I need to explain what happened?" She asked.
"No. Sorry I asked, but don't worry about her." I said as I kissed her forehead. "I may not be famous like you, but I love you for you. Nothing else, nothing more."
"I know you do, it's her that doesn't get it." Bella sneered.
"Listen, don't let Renee get in the way on this holiday. And don't let her dictate on what to do. This is your life and as long as I'm in it, I can put up with Renee's behavior. I'm sure in time, she will accept me." At least I hope so. "Come on, I'm sure everyone is waiting for us." Bella nodded and we walked into the kitchen where everyone is lining up for the food.
"Come on, mom, you know I got like five stomachs to fill." Seth complained to his mom when she filled out portion of his plate with the appropriate amount of food.
"Why do you think I had to get the girls involved with Esme's cooking?" Sue chuckled. "Besides, you're not the only one who's hungry. So buck up and sit down. You can have more after you eat your first place."
"Come on," Jane sighed though she giggled as she took Seth by the arm and led him somewhere where they can sit together. Bella and I got in line behind her mother as Esme and Sue started serving the plates to everyone. Once it was mine and Bella's turn, I grabbed two plates and held it out for the both of us.
"Edward, I can hold my own plate." Bella said rolling her eyes.
"Yes and you have been helping out with the cooking. Yours arms deserve a break." I smiled as Sue handed out the first set of the food for both plates.
"Such a gentleman my son, a stubborn one." Esme smiled causing Bella to giggle as I leaned over to Bella a peck on the lips.
"Womanizer." I heard Renee scoffed quietly. And I wasn't the only one.
"Excuse me?" Bella snapped at Renee.
"Bella's diet doesn't require her to eat that much food." Renee said as if she had never said that last part.
"Oh don't be silly Renee." Sue said kindly. "It's Thanksgiving and everyone here is free to eat as much as they like. Unless you're my son that is." She chuckled but all I did was glared at Renee for that comment for such bullshit of an accusation. Bella gently took her plate from me and got the rest of the servings and then led me somewhere near the dinning room and living room are where everyone is seated. Deep breaths, Cullen. Deep… deep breaths.
The whole place was chattering as every one of us was digging in on the delicious food. I noticed my parents were with Aro and his wife along with Aro's sister and her husband Marcus. Next to my parents were Charlie sitting next to Renee as he was happily chatting with Sue on his other side. Sue was the same way as those two seem to be getting along very well. As we were going through more servings of the food, my parents got up and had everyone's attention by tapping on the wine glass with their utensils.
"I know we just ate and should've waited but I thought we all should talk about what we're thankful for this year and what we want in the future." Carlisle said. "I will start." He took my mother's hand. "First of all, I am thankful for my wife who is not only an amazing woman, but also an amazing mother who has giving me a son, and daughter who I am also thankful for." He said, turning to me and my sister as we both smiled. "I'm also thankful for the people in this room that brought us together. Because of it, I consider us all a family, no matter what relationship by blood. It doesn't define what family is. It's all about the bond we share with one another. That is what family is all about." Mom was in tears as dad kissed her before she collected herself and faced everyone.
"Well, I am thankful for my husband for all the amazing things he has done, not just loving me, but being an amazing doctor and father. Like Carlisle I am also grateful for my amazing children who I love so much." Esme beamed. "It's not just them, however. Being a mother is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me and I consider every kid I know and I have met as my own children. So thank you."
Soon one after another everyone was giving out their speeches. Some were long, some were short and simple. Some had humor in it. Some weren't sure what else to say. Charlie gave his speech as well, but Renee chose not to. Her arms were crossed as her plate remained untouched.
"I guess I should go then." Bella said and looked at everyone nervously. She took a deep breath and began. "I am thankful for my family and friends. I wouldn't be the kind of person I am if I didn't have them in my life. I'm thankful for my dog Fluff who is my baby. I am also thankful for my fans who has supported me since the start of my career and I love them for that. Most of all, I am thankful for the people I have met the past few months," She looked at my sister and my friends. "Where I never imagined that I ended up being good friends with. All who are kind, funny, selfless, and amazing. But most of all, I am most thankful to the man who has my heart. Someone who has loved me as I love him. And for that, thank you."
I'm not going to cry. I'm not going to cry. I'm NOT going to cry. I thought as the house was filled with applause.
"Sweetheart, you're up." My mother said to me. I nodded as I got up.
"As always, I have to be the last one to do this." I chuckled. "I am thankful for my parents who raised me to be the man I am today. I wouldn't have gotten where I am today without there support. I am thankful for my little sister for being there for me even when I have some down moments, she is always there with a smile on her face." Renesmee smiled big at me. "No matter how old you're getting, you're always be my little sister.
I am thankful for my friends who I have known for a long time. Through all the times we had together, the laughs and craziness we've been through, our friendship has never fade away, and I hope it last a life time. Most of all, I am thankful to the woman, sitting next to me. It's because of her, I understand what it means to love someone. Ever since we met, it took me awhile to realize that her heart is mine. She is someone I wanted to be with and I will be with her, until the end." I said as I looked at Bella while she has tears in her eyes. "I love you."
"I love you." She said quietly as I leaned towards her for a kiss. I ignored all the awes and applause that was made as all that mattered was me and Bella. We did broke apart when this happened.
"I can't stand this!" Renee said as she stood up. Every eyes were now on Bella's mother. "Isabella, how can you stand him? Out of all the guys you could've ended up with, you picked him! Is he that persuasive for you to fall for him without a second thought?"
"Renee!" Charlie said in shock.
"What did you say? You think Edward forced me into this relationship? That I'm being hostage? Do you really think less of him, mom?" Bella said in disbelief.
"It's because of him that you have become corrupted and has changed your behavior these last few months! The only thing I see is that he is not one of us and yet you continue to defend him as if his life depends on it!" Renee said.
"Edward, did not corrupt me!" Bella said in outrage. "My behavior has nothing to do with him! When will you get it that Edward isn't what you think of him to be?"
"Renee, I ask you kindly to watch what you're saying about my son." Esme said calmly, though I saw that she looked like she is ready to pounce, going all momma bear. "I understand you have your concerns but Edward is one of the most well known man in Forks and the most respected from the people here. You should know that he is not dating Bella for the fame or money. I can see through them that it's love and that's what they are feeling towards one another."
"And you should know to never judge a person without getting to know them, Renee. Not to mention that just because you're a celebrity, does not entitle you to put down others as if they shouldn't socialize with you." Carlisle said as he puts his shoulder on my mother to secure her from launching herself at Renee. Now it's my turn.
"Renee, I don't know what it's going to take to convince you that I love your daughter, not caring that she is famous or not." I began. "I don't get why you think Bella deserves better like she's above me. Your daughter is one of the greatest people I know and she's amazing at what she does and yet here you are again making this all about Bella's career without any regards how Bella feels. You continue to fail to know your daughter and you can't stop me from loving her." I said to her like it was final.
Renee huffed. "I don't have to deal with this. None of us do. We shouldn't even be here in the first place." She then walked out of her seat and brushed passed me roughly. "Come on you guys, we're leaving."
"No." Bella said causing Renee to turn to her abruptly.
"Excuse me?"
"I'm not leaving." Bella said bravely even with tears in her eyes. "This is supposed to be a time for family and friends and you're acting like it doesn't matter, like dad and I don't matter. I wanted us to be a family for this time but you're ruining the moment with your selfish behavior and your bias opinion towards Edward. So I ask you mom to please stay. Let us spend the holiday with everyone here."
"I am not wasting another minute here in this house filled with these people and their kids. And neither should you. Now let's go, Isabella!" Renee said like it was final.
"I am not a little kid anymore mom! I'm eighteen and I want to stay here with the Cullens." Bella said it finally.
"Fine!" Renee snapped and then turned to Charlie. "Come Charlie, we're leaving."
"Actually Renee, I'm staying too." Charlie declared. "I want to spend Thanksgiving with Bella and the Cullens, who they along with everyone else here, are great people and have been nothing but respectful to us. If you want to leave, then go ahead. Bella and I are staying." He said it like that's finally.
Renee huffed as she marched herself out of my house, slamming the door in the process as silence was filled since the whole scene she caused. After a moment, Seth snuck his hand to Renee's plate and brought to himself.
"Really?" Jane said in disbelief.
"She wasn't gonna eat it. Can't let it go to waste." Seth shrugged as he began to eat just as the room slowly filled the noise as everyone talked like nothing happened, though disturbed by it.
"Bella?" I turned to her.
"I'm sorry." Bella cried. "I'm really sorry. I ruined Thanksgiving." My heart broke just seeing her break down.
"Love, this wasn't your fault." I said as I sat down next to her and cupped her face with one hand. "You didn't do anything. Your mother was the one who caused a scene."
"Exactly! I brought my mother here hoping she could be on her best behavior but she continues to act out of line towards you and look at it. Everyone is now talking about my family for what we've caused." Bella sobbed as I pulled her for a hug to calm her down.
"Bella, sweetie," My mother said as she and my father came over to us. "None of this is your fault. I just can't believe she is your mother where you are not like her at all. So you have nothing to apologized for." She said as I moved aside so that she can hug Bella.
"And besides, we've talked to our guests before they all came here and that is to not say much about your arrival and keep things quiet. So you have nothing to worry about. No need for apologizes." Carlisle assured her with a smile.
"Well still, Carlisle, Esme, Edward, I'd apologize on my wife." Charlie said with a sigh. "I just…" He let out a breath. "I just can't believe she would say such a thing to you, Edward. Especially in front of your entire family."
"Don't worry about it, Charlie." I waved it off.
"Yes, we do appreciate how you stood up for us, so by all means, stay as long as you want. In fact, why don't you stay with us tonight?" Carlisle offered.
"Oh, uh, um," Charlie cleared his throat being taken by surprise. "Thank you but uh, we don't to intrude –"
"Oh don't be silly, Charlie. You both are welcome to stay." Esme smiled.
Charlie was silent until he answered. "Well if it means I don't have to deal with my wife tonight, then sure." He smiled.
"You okay with that, love?" I asked Bella. She gave a small smile as she wiped her eyes.
"That sounds nice." She said as I kissed her forehead.
And with that, the rest of Thanksgiving was uneventful as we continue to eat food while watching the game until night fall. All of our family and friends left while Bella, Charlie and Fluff stayed home for the night. It was nice to spend the evening with Bella, even though we were in different bedrooms for the night. Sucks really but I wouldn't want to piss off my parents… and Charlie.
The next morning, Bella, Charlie, and Fluff went back to where they were staying in Seattle. When they did, they found out that Renee took a flight back to L.A. the minute she left our house. Unbelievable. I'll never understand why she's such an uptight bitch of a diva. What I'm worry about is will word get out about the Thanksgiving fiasco. Not that I care about Renee, but I am worried about how it's going to affect Bella and Charlie if the media gets a whiff of it. Thankfully, no one said anything about it. However now I got some reporters around Forks during the weekend. After Bella and Charlie flew back to L.A. that day, I encountered a few more reporters following me wherever I go, taking pictures of me and asking me questions about me and Bella. I had one reporter calling me out a few things but I ignored him and walked by until he gave up. I don't know how much more of this I can take but the sooner people can lay off about me and Bella and see that I'm just an ordinary guy who genuinely loves Bella, I'm good.
At least I hope so.
Finally the weekend was over meaning it was back to school. And I for one am happy about it because I just want some stress in class to deal with over people talking at me and dealing with the media of being the questionable famous boyfriend of Bella Swan.
Once I parked my car in the parking lot, I got out and walked inside the school building. The minute I did, the usual noise filled with chit chat in the hallways went silent. Though not completely. What's different than when people found out about my relationship with Bella is the expression on students' faces when they see me. This time they were glaring at me, like intensely. It was like hearing a swarm of bees flying around you. There was muttering but I couldn't make out what they were saying. What are they saying and why is everyone looking at me like they have something against me?
I decided not to let that get to me and started walking, ignoring the whispers, and not making eye contact with any of the students. I just turned to the next hallways where I encountered three of the girls who I remembered them when Mike tried to hit on them and tell them some bullshit story at the beginning of the second week of school.
"Hey girls, what's up?" I greeted them with a smile.
None of them smiled as they have the same expression as everyone in school. Instead, the middle one did something without warning with something she has in her hands when I felt it splashed right in my face.
"Aah!" I cried when the coffee she threw at me, burned. "Fuck! What the hell?!" They didn't answer but instead, the other two slapped me before they walked away.
"Ugh." I groan while wincing from the pain as I did the best I could to dry my face. What gives? This is the thanks I get for saving them from Mike's annoying hookup attempts?
As I was recovering from the assault, a few students walked passed by, not before they all gave out "Boos!" right at my face causing me to be confused. What did I do? I looked around to be sure I wasn't in the wrong school, North Central High, since I beat them at the championship, but then again that wouldn't make sense at all. Just as I was thinking I'm still dreaming and I'm in a different universe,
"Aah!" I yelled when something hit me in the back of my head and I turned around to see a half empty water bottle and I saw a few freshmen walk by. I shook my head in disbelief as I picked up the bottle and threw it in the recycle bin before heading into my locker.
I just opened my locker and was about to get grab my text book when something slammed the locker next to me where it caused me to jump. I turned to see it was Jared and Paul and they looked none too happy.
"Jared, Paul, is everything okay?" I asked. Without warning, Paul's hand got in my face and shoved me back hard causing me to hit my head against my locker door. "OW! Seriously, what the hell?!"
"Think you all big shit now?" Jared said angrily.
"What are you talking about?" I asked as I rubbed the back of my head.
"As if you're going to deny anything. Can't believe you were our captain of the team." Jared said. That's when Paul grabbed my head and this time slammed me into my locker, hard.
"OW, HEY!" I cried as I tried to get him off me.
"Hurts now doesn't it? Now you get where we're coming from!" Paul said angrily as he held my head in.
"HEY!" That's when I heard a bang and then another as Paul let go of my head. I rubbed it as I got out to see Demetri and Alec standing over Paul who has a bloody nose now while Jared was squealing like a pig when Heidi got a grip of his junk hard.
"You two should take your own advice about what you say!" Ben said angrily to them.
"And you should know that ganging up on someone does indeed count as bullying or harassment so I'm sure dad can use that as an excuse to give you both a suspension!" Alec said in a disapprove tone as he picked up the football that was lying next to Paul's head as he squeezed in his hands.
"Not to mention it just shows what pussies you are compared to how you play on the field!" Demetri said giving them a glare.
"Now leave Edward alone unless you want me to handcuff you both and "accidentally" lose the key." Seth threatened with a growl as the handcuffs were twirling in his hands. Heidi let go of Jared while Paul scrambled to get up as they both scurried away, though they were still glaring at me, even though they were frightened how my friends came to my rescue.
"Thanks guys." I said as I leaned against my locker for support.
"Where did you get the handcuffs?" Demetri asked Seth.
"Leah let me have some." Seth answered.
"And you had them with you because?" Ben questioned.
Seth blushed as he scratched his head nervous. "Gotta make sure guys understand whenever Jane says no."
"Are you okay, Edward?" Angela asked worriedly.
"What the fuck does it look like?!" I snapped being fucking pissed. "Everyone is fucking pissed at me as they started assaulting me and giving me glares everywhere I fucking go! What the hell is going on here?!"
"We were just about to ask you that." Alec said.
"When we got here, everyone is talking about you, and not in a good way." Heidi explained.
"One minute they were questioning about you and Bella and now they sound like they hate your guts." Angela said.
"But why? What did I even do?" I asked. Nothing makes sense now. First everyone was shocked when they out about my relationship with Bella, then they started questioning to believe Bella and I are in love and now they're mad at me? How can one minute I was the hero of the school that brought them a championship to a villain so quick?
"GUYS!"
We all turned to see Jessica and Jane rushing over to us. The looks on both of their faces were on the alert as they are freaking out about something.
"We got a big problem!" Jane said.
"Like we don't know that? What's going on?" Demetri asked impatiently.
"Well, actually, it's more of Edward's problem." Jessica said nervously.
"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion.
"Look!" Jessica said as she showed me the cover of Eclipse magazine and what I saw made my eyes widened in shock… and in disbelief.
On the cover was a photo of me and in my arms of the photo where I was given a kiss on the cheek was Tanya and the title of it was the icing on the cake of this photo.
Boyfriend of Bella Swan
Cheats on America's Princess
WHAT THE FUCK?!
Yeah, what the fuck indeed. This is not good I tell. I'm already mad at the students for what they're doing to Edward just even writing it out. LOL And to add about the scene caused by Renee on Thanksgiving and the spat in the beginning with Mike, woo wee! Talk about drama!
Anyway, again with the apologies you guys with the delay. One this was hard to come up with how to write it all out and two, once again I had a lot of things to prioritize, along with some personal issues that are dissolved, but since now I got full time at my job, I should be steady but don't expect an update soon. But you can always be up to date by following my Instagram and Facebook page. I'm not one to ask to follow me but it would be appreciated if you guys follow me. My accounts are decent but I would like to keep it growing for this fanfiction. So pretty please? But yeah, I hope you guys like this latest update and I hope to post again soon but until then, let the reviews roll. :)
