Archangel:

Shepard along with Zaeed, Miranda and Jacob went back up to the main bar and approached the private room that Aria had told them that was being used by the gangs to recruit. She approached the Batarian standing guard dressed in the armour of the Blue Suns.

"I'm looking for a job and I heard you were recruiting." Shepard stated

The Batarian grunted and looked up and down "Why don't you step inside, at least you seem to be better equipped for this mission."

The three of them stepped into the room where another Batarian Blue Suns mercenary was talking to another volunteer "You'll get paid when the job's done just like everyone else." He said and the recruit walked away "whose next" he almost laughed when Shepard entered "Well aren't you sweet? You're in the wrong place honey, strippers quarters are that way."

Shepard did not like his attitude. "How's this for sweet!" she hissed pulling out her pistol.

The Batarian laughed "Now you have fire in you. I like that. Standard fee in 500 credits. You get paid when you're done." He looked at the others gathered "That would be 2000 credits for all four but if one dies, you don't collect his payment though. You'll need your own weapons and armour but it looks like you've already got that covered. And no this does not make you part of the Blue Suns, Eclipse, Blood Pact, Guavian Death Gang or Kanjiklub. You're a Freelancer period. There's a shuttle down in the docking bay that will take you to the destination. Any questions?"

"No questions, just got a job to do." Shepard stated

"Then get down to the shuttle." The Batarian ordered "Next."

Shepard and the team then left and then watched as a young man who barely looked old enough to enlist in the army entered the room "Hey is this where I sign up?"

Shepard looked at the man, he wore civilian clothes and though he had a blaster on his belt, it looked old and Shepard also noticed that it was discharged, it would probably fail the moment he fired it. This boy was going to get himself killed and Shepard's instincts told her that she had to do something to prevent that just like she had done with Conrad Verner back at the Citadel when she feared his enthusiasm would get him killed.

"You look a little young to be signing up as a freelancer." Shepard questioned

"I'm old enough." The boy protested "I grew up on Omega; I know how to use a gun."

"Yeah and so does Archangel." Jacob replied

"Kid you want to stay out of this life." Zaeed added "Going in like that is a good way to get yourself killed."

"I can handle myself." The boy protested "I just spent 50 credits on this gun. I want to use it."

Shepard shook her head and got close to the boy "Get your money back." She then snatched the pistol to which the boy protested only for Shepard to show just how poor the weapon was and when she pressed the trigger, only a clicking noise was heard "Here's some advice, when you buy a gun, make sure that it's not discharged, this gun will do you no good at all and find a job that doesn't involve shooting. Trust me, you'll thank me later." With that she along with her squad left the building.

...

As the four of them left the Afterlife Nightclub and went down to the transit hub, Miranda scoffed as they looked over the skyline of Omega "Omega." She grumbled "What a pisshole, at least it keeps you on your toes. I've had to come here before on assignments and I've always had to have a shower afterwards in addition to normal decontaminations."

"Omega is one of the dirtiest places around." Zaeed agreed "I think the only place that can compete with how dirty and vile is Nar Shaddaa."

"I've been there too." Miranda replied "Capital of Hutt Space and the alternate capital of the Terminus Systems. If Omega is the heart of the eastern Terminus, Nar Shaddaa is the capital of the west only much bigger since the whole moon is a city even if large parts are little more than ruins."

As they carried on chatting about what was worse, Omega or Nar Shaddaa, they soon reached the transit station where a Batarian Blue Suns member was waiting "I'm on the mission." Shepard greeted

"I hope you're ready." The Batarian replied "Archangel has been annihilating your freelancers; at least you seem more prepared."

"We're ready for anything." Shepard replied

"Get in, I'll take you to our hideout close to Archangel's position. Speak with Salkie when you arrive, he'll give you directions and the mission breakdown." The Batarian added and the four of them got into the old taxi float cab and the Batarian soon began driving to their destination.

...

The drive to the hideout took a long time since Archangel was hiding in the lower levels down in the spine of Omega station which was the roughest part of the station where the gangs controlled everything and even Aria's influence in the area was tiny. This area was where the criminal gangs planned their crimes and manufactured their products to smuggle into Citadel space such as poorly manufactured equipment and toxic chemicals used as medicines or drugs.

The taxi soon landed on a platform where a Batarian that Shepard assumed was Salkie approached them "It's about time that they sent me a Freelancer group that actually looks like they can actually fight." He greeted "Have they told you what we're up against."

"The recruiter was a little vague." Shepard replied "What is the situation?"

"He was vague as if they knew we wouldn't get many recruits?" Salkie replied "Archangel is hold up in a building at the end of the boulevard over there." He pointed to the side "He's got a secure position and the only way in is over an exposed bridge. It's a killing ground over there. But it's also his only way out and he's surrounded and getting tired and running out of supplies. He won't last much longer."

"So do you have a plan?" Shepard asked

"We have a small team waiting to infiltrate Archangel's hideout but we need to draw his attention and fire so we can move in." Salkie replied

"And I'm guessing that's where we come in." Shepard guessed

"Exactly." Salkie smiled "You'll be on the distraction team, head straight onto the bridge and keep Archangel busy so that the infiltration team can sneak behind him."

"That's fucking suicide!" Zaeed hissed

"It is but you look like you can handle it." Salkie smiled "Head up to the Boulevard and get to the third barricade. Talk to Sergeant Cathka, he'll tell you to go in."

"So how exposed is this bridge." Zaeed asked

"It's the only way in or out." Salkie replied "At least it is now. There were underground passages but Archangel blew them up and sealed the doors. We have teams digging but it's taking too long. We hoped the gunship would finish him off but Archangel shot it down. It wasn't destroyed but it's damaged. Our engineer is working on it but I'm hoping to have the infiltration team finish the job and we can all go home. Frankly I feel like the leaders have let this all go to their heads. For the Eclipse, it's not just about Archangel damaging their plans it's personal since Archangel killed their leader's brother. You can find out more by talking to the leaders though none of them will be happy about talking to a Freelancer, they all hate each other but they hate Archangel more which is why they all teamed up."

"I guess I better go find this Sergeant Cathka." Shepard finished

"Good idea." Salkie agreed "Watch out on the boulevard, Archangel has already killed dozens up there already." He then walked away leaving Shepard and her group alone.

"That gunship could be big trouble." Jacob stated "We might want to try and sabotage it."

"If we can find it and get to it." Zaeed stated "I know how these mercs work, if we check the gangs out we may be able to sabotage each of them. The Eclipse are known for using droids, we could disable their friend/foe sensors so they will attack everyone of sight."

"A good plan but remember our priority is to get Archangel out alive." Miranda stated "Every skilled team member we recruit increases our chances of being able to complete our final mission."

The four of them walked along the streets and passed a group of Eclipse mercenaries spraying a nearby building with bullets while a sniper fired back. They were trying to gain Archangel's attention away from the bridge. They soon entered a warehouse which seemed to be the main hideout for the Eclipse gang stationed on Omega. Eclipse was a more sophisticated gang which had a lot of Asari and Salarian members who were skilled in biotics and technical aspects. They were also skilled with droids and while often considered criminals, they had actually aided human colonists during the Anhur rebellions so they did sometimes have a good reputation at times.

A male Salarian had gathered other captains at the table "As the first wave goes in the infiltration team will attempt to take Archangel by surprise." The Salarian then noticed Shepard "Did you need something?"

"I take it you're the leader of the Eclipse?" Shepard asked

"Figured that out by yourself?" the Salarian chuckled "Name's Jaroth, I run Omega's Eclipse, what do you want Freelancer?"

"Why is the Eclipse even here on Omega?" Shepard asked

"Since you care so much, Eclipse runs 20% of Omega." Jaroth replied "Our transports and droids keep the Eezo moving."

"Sounds very organised." Shepard stated

"Eclipse is like a machine though sadly Omega is not." Jaroth replied "It's a constant battle for control but Archangel had to go and ruin things. It's natural for the gangs to fight for more power, that how gang warfare works, doesn't matter if civilians get in the way. Archangel claims to be a lawfully vigilante taking down the wicked but that can be found all over Omega, his mission will fail no matter what he does."

Shepard noticed the tone of his voice "This sounds personal to you."

"It is!" Jaroth hissed "Unlike the other gangs, Archangel took something personal from me. He raided one of my transports and cost me a huge amount of credits and not only that he took out two of my best operatives, one of them was my brother so yeah this is personal for me. Archangel killed my brother and he will pay for that."

"I'll get going." Shepard said and the four of them left. Once they left the building, Miranda approached her.

"Shepard, while you were talking up the Eclipse, I managed to swipe this datapad." She said holding the pad in her hand "It seems the gang leaders plan to team up to take down Aria, she might find this information useful."

"We'll deliver it once we've got Archangel." Shepard said

Zaeed opened up a large storage room and there he saw a load of deactivated droids and said "Here Shepard, looks like we've found the Eclipse's droid storage facility." She could see groups of B1 Battle Droids as well as the more advanced B2 Super Battle Droids and even a few Droidikas and a powerful YMIR Mech that was a powerful tank like droid.

Shepard quickly was able to disable the friend/foe identifier on the system that controlled the droids. She wasn't an expert at technical aspects but she knew a few things. Once she was finished on Omega, she knew that she would have to find a tech expert for the team to make tasks like hacking easier. She was able just about able to hack a small datapad that held the account details for smuggling operations so they would be able to steal the credits from the gangs.

"That should slow them down a bit." Shepard smiled

"Indeed, the droids will turn hostile when they sent them." Miranda added "Though they will still attack us as well."

They soon carried on into the next building which seemed to be the hideout for the next major gang, the Blood Pact. Unlike the Eclipse, the Blood Pact did not have many good things to say. The Blood Pact were more like raiders who took pleasure in the fight probably due to the fact that the gang was led by Krogan Warlords who led campaigns of piracy across the colonies of the Terminus Systems and into other sectors. The only other species in the Blood Pact other than the Krogan were the Vorcha, a species that most considered primitive and pests rather than sentient creatures.

The Vorcha originated from the planet Heshtok and were known for having a unique biology and aggressive attitude. They could adapt to survive in any climate and they had regenerative cells that allowed limbs to re-grow and survive in toxic atmospheres and makes them immune to diseases. However they were the shortest lived species with only a 20 year lifespan and they were known to be violent. Vorcha had no central government as they very still a very clan like species that often spent more time fighting each other. Their short lifespan and aggressive attitude made it difficult for the Vorcha to join any galactic group they never developed their own technology and often relied on other species. The Blood Pact and other groups employed Vorcha to act as foot soldiers although they were still often seen as disposable since they bread fast and grow quickly making repopulation easy. Some mining corporations had express interest in trying to civilize Vorcha orphans to work on toxic worlds since they could adapt but their short lifespan made this difficult.

In the Blood Pact room, Shepard could see a single Krogan Battlemaster dressed in blood red armour with a skull painted on one shoulder pads well as several vorcha. "You're in the wrong place Freelancer." The Krogan growled

"You're the Blood Pact leader?" Shepard questioned

"Name's Garm, that's all you need to know." He replied "I'm stuck here waiting until you freelancers are done playing war. Ask your questions and go."

"So when are you lot attacking?" Shepard asked

"Damn Tarak wants us to wait!" Garm grumbled "I hate waiting but he says that the Suns have a plan with the Death Gang and Kanjiklub and he doesn't want us to get in the way. We're supposed to wait until Eclipse sends in the droids."

"I guess we'll just have to wait and see what their plan is in the end." Shepard said

"It might have something to do with those strange creatures that Bala-Tik smuggled here." Garm sneered "I heard he had a hard time since Aria refused to allow them on the station. If something goes wrong then it's on his head. I can't wait to have another go at Archangel, damn Turian may have gotten away from our last fight but he won't get away this time"

Shepard and the team then left the building and went ahead though not before Shepard managed to hack a datapad containing protection money taken from clients so Shepard was able to access more credits from the gangs. Garm had also revealed that Archangel was a Turian so that could be a problem for recruiting him as some Turians were known to not like humanity. They eventually arrived at the bridge that led to Archangel's hideout and there were several freelancers holding position. Shepard approached one "I'm looking for sergeant Cathka?"

"You and me both." The Freelancer replied "He's nearby fixing the gunship but I'm in no hurry. I only recently realized just how much of a suicide this is but there's no backing out now so I'm just letting him take his time so I can live longer."

Shepard decided to look around before checking on Cathka. She opened a locked side room that stored some weapons and ammo. She managed to find some Blue Suns equipment that could be used to upgrade the power of submachine guns as well as the gunrunning accounts of the Blue Suns on a datapad where she gained more credits. She then went into a side room where a Batarian Blue Suns member seemed to be talking to a few humans who wore different armour. One had long black hair and beard and had a disgruntled look on his face.

"Get this Freelancer out of here!" the Batarian growled "I don't have time for this."

"Tarak." Zaeed groaned "What's eating your ass."

"Zaeed?" the Batarian known as Tarak gasped

"I take it that you two know each other." Shepard questioned

"We've crossed paths a few times." Tarak replied "Since when did you work for so little."

"Since when are you a fucking madman." Zaeed countered

"It's Archangel, he's going to kill me." Tarak hissed "Already nearly did when he disable my gunship. Look Zaeed I don't have time for this, Jentha talks to these guys, I'm busy with Bala and Tasu about their plan."

A female Blue Suns human stepped forward "Sorry about him, Tarak is paranoid after Archangel nearly killed him a while back."

"You don't say." Zaeed muttered

"He doesn't like freelancers, hell he doesn't like the other gangs and never cooperates with them." Jentha replied "If he would swallow his stubbornness we could have already taken down Archangel already but now he's going along with Bala-Tik and Tasu Leech's insane plan to take out Archangel from below."

"What are they planning?" Shepard asked

"Bala-Tik has managed to smuggle a couple of rathtars onto the station and has released them down in the tunnels below Archangel's position." Jentha replied.

Jacob's eyes widened "Wait what!" he gasped "You not seriously using Rathtars as part of the plan, those beasts would more likely kill us all."

"No wonder Aria did not want them here." Miranda added

Shepard looked confused "What's a rathtar?"

"They're big and dangerous creatures with lots of eyes and tenticles." Jentha replied

"Every heard of the Trillia massacre?" Jacob asked and Shepard shook her head "Good because it was ugly."

Jentha sighed "A lot of us have bad feelings about this plan but we're not going with them. Garm and the Blood Pact will be with the Rathtars and kill them if they get out of hand. Since it was Tasu Leech's plan in the first place, he's going too. Bala-Tik is holding back with Tarak."

"I guess it's time to go seek Sergant Cathka and find out what we're suppose to do." Shepard said

"That would be best." Jentha replied

...

Shepard went back to the bridge and then walked into a side building where saw an old LAAT gunship or a Low Altitude Assault transport. These gunships were a popular gunship used for mobile troop movement and as tanks on the battle field and were seen as a symbol of the Republic military. These gunships came with heavy canons, rocket launchers and even laser beam balls on the sides which fired large laser beams that could destroy rows of enemies. This particular gunship was old and looked like it had been salvaged and repaired by the Blue Suns then painted blue. The laser balls had been removed from this ship since they would have been difficult to repair.

Shepard could hear welding equipment in use and approached a group of humans stood in front "Sergeant Cathka?"

The lead man just pointed behind him to a Batarian who was using a welding torch to try and repair the damaged thrusters on the gunship. Shepard and her team walked towards him as he stood up and lowered his welding visor on his helmet "That's me. You must be the group Salkie mentioned, he said he had a good feeling about you more than what I can say of most of the other Freelancers Anyway the infiltration team is about to give us the signal. Archangel won't know what hit him." Shepard watched as he put his tool down on a table "Got any questions, this may be your last chance."

"Are you going to give us cover fire with the gunship?" Shepard asked

Cathka laughed "Tarak is the only one who flies her, besides she's not ready, Archangel gave her a beating last time she was out there. A few more tweeks and she should be good to go."

It was then that the radio went life "Archangel is in signal and we ago." Someone called

Cathka got on the radio "Check, Bravo Team go, go, go." He looked at Shepard "This is where you do your part, get Archangel's attention. I need to finish trying to fix this gunship." He went back the gunship while Shepard eyed the electrical welding tool which was close to Zaeed. With a nod, Zaeed picked up the tool and talked over to Cathka.

"You're working too hard." He sneered and stabbed Cathka in the back causing the Batarian to scream in pain and he was electrocuted. Now the gunship with not be in full working order when the Blue Suns used it which would help getting Archangel out much easier.

...

Shepard and the team headed back to the bridge as the Freelancers began jumping over the barricade. "Doesn't look like Archangel's got much time." Jacob commented

"Well let's not keep him waiting." Miranda replied.

Soon the four of them jumped over the barricade themselves and began travelling across the bridge. It was indeed very exposed and there was no place for them to get cover. Shepard could see a Turian on the balcony above them, that must be Archangel though his face was covered up by a helmet. Archangel quickly took out two of the Freelancers with his sniper rifle. "Come on, let's give these guys a surprise of our own." Shepard said and the four of them quickly made their way across the bridge as the other Freelancers were quickly killed. One shot landed close to Shepard but she could tell that was done on purpose, did Archangel know who they were and that they were not the enemy. They soon made their way into the building that Archangel was hiding to find the infiltration team already inside and making their way up the stairs. Zaeed, Jacob and Shepard quickly took care of them and then they made their own way up the stairs though not before Shepard managed to find some Omi-Tool modes which would help with hacking abilities and tech damage to cause droids to explode. Once they got to the top of the stairs, they found more of the infiltration team trying to open the door that Archangel had locked to get to the balcony where he was hiding. Zaeed quickly too them out and Shepard managed to open a nearby wall safe to find more credits.

With the infiltration team defeated, they made their way onto the balcony where Archangel was waiting. They lowered their guns to show that they were not a threat. "Archangel?" Shepard greeted.

Archangel held his hand up to say wait a moment and then he quickly shot the last Freelancer on the bridge. He leaned his rifle against the wall and sat on a nearby table and removed his helmet to reveal his face. Shepard was shocked when she saw who Archangel was. It was indeed a Turian and not just any Turian, it was someone who Shepard had called a friend and a former teammate of hers "Shepard." The familiar voice of Garrus Vakarian called "I thought you were dead!"

"Garrus, what are you doing here?" Shepard gasped

Garrus laughed "After the Normandy, I went back to C-Sec but I got tired of all the bureaucratic crap back on the Citadel so I left and figured I could do more good here. The gangs here were responsible for much of the black market goods back on the Citadel, figured I could try and do what I could not on the Citadel and take them out here. It's not hard to find criminals here, all I have to do is point my gun and shoot."

Zaeed scoffed "How the hell did you manage to piss off every single Merc gang in the Terminus systems, I've been here years and never seen them team up to take out a single man."

Garrus laughed "It wasn't easy. I really had to work at it." He replied "I am amazed they all teamed up though, they must really hate me."

"Well we got here." Miranda said "That was the easy part but getting out will be harder."

"You're right." Garrus replied "That bridge has saved my life many times but it works both ways. They'll slaughter us if we go out that way."

"And the tunnels won't help us either since they were caved in." Zaeed remembered "Plus they're bringing Rathtars down there."

"Rathtars!" Garrus gasped "Boy this just got even harder. At least the sealed doors will hold them off even if they tunnel through the rubble. For now we need to watch the bridge. Let's see what they're up to." Garrus grabbed his sniper rifle and got back into position and began watching "It looks like they know that the infiltration team failed, seems they're sending in the mechs, Eclipse I think." He handed the rifle over to Shepard "Here take a look for yourself."

Shepard looked down the rifle's scope and saw a wave of B1 Battle Droids beginning to climb over the barricade in formation. B1 battle droids were weak but cheap to produce which made them good as cannon fodder. "More than scouts, it's a wave of battle droids." She pulled the trigger taking the head off one of them "One less now."

"We disabled their friend foe scanners so they'll fight anything with a gun." Zaeed stated

"Good." Garrus smiled "We better get ready, I'll stay up here, I have a good vantage point here and I can do a lot of damage. You just do what you normally do, just like old times."

"Indeed Garrus." Shepard smiled "Just like old times."

...

The Battle droids kept coming but they were easily mowed down by shots fired from a powerful minigun that Zaeed carried with him. The gun just shot the droids to pieces before they even got halfway across the bridge. With the first wave failed, Eclipse sent another wave of B1s along with several B2 Superbattle droids which were tougher to take down but Garrus was a good shot and was able to take out these droid's targeting systems and then power modules with his rifle. The hardest wave was the third wave which had two droidikas which were powerful rolling droids that could generate shields. They were providing strong covering fire that forced the entire team to take cover."

"Fall back!" Zaeed called "These droidikas are too powerful, we need to get them rolling, that's when they're weak since their shields are down and it takes a few seconds for them to prepare again." The team quickly pulled back to the backrooms and just as Zaeed said, the two droidikas lowered their shields and rolled across the bridge. However, Garrus stayed in position and when they started rolling, he fired a powerful shot from his rifle which took out one droidika while Jacob quickly took out the second.

Across the bridge, Jaroth sighed with frustration "If you want something done properly, do it yourself. Let's see how you handle this Archangel." With the push of a button on his Omu-tool, a crane brought over the giant YMIR Mech which was dropped and then activated.

Garrus called over the radio "Watch out, they're sending in the heavy droids."

Miranda smiled "The problem should sort itself out."

Right on cue, the friend/foe targeting system on the YMIR droids failed and it began targeting everyone is sight. Not even the Droidikas shields were able to held off the missile launchers of the droid and it quickly mowed down any remaining Eclipse that went across the bridge. Eventually the YMIR shields and armour were overcome by a combination of fire from both Garrus and the Eclipse but not before Jaraoth's shields had been overloaded. With one shot to the head from Archangel, Jaroth, leader of Omega's Eclipse chapter was killed, the rest of the Eclipse mercenaries soon followed.

With the Eclipse dealt with, Shepard and the team quickly regrouped on the balcony. "You're kicking ass Shepard, they barely touched me." Garrus laughed "And we got Jaroth in the process. I've been hunting that bastard for months."

"Why were you after Jaroth?" Shepard asked

"He was one of the main smugglers of toxic goods to the Citadel." Garrus answered "He shipped tainted eezo all over Citadel space, half the goods I seized back at C-Sec came from him. I took out a big shipment of his and killed his top lieutenant who happened to be his brother although I only found that out after the attack. It's no surprise that he teamed up with the other Mercs to come after me after that."

"We may have dealt with the Eclipse but we still have the other gangs to deal with, think we can make a break for it?" Jacob asked

"Maybe but let's see what they're up to." Garrus replied and looked through his sniper again "They seem to have reinforced the other side of the bridge heavily but they're not crossing, they seem to be waiting?"

Zaeed looked worried "Maybe they're waiting for those Rathtars to finish tunnelling to the lower levels."

Right as Zaeed finished that, there was a loud rumble and the building shook, Garrus checked his Omi-Tool "Damn it I think he's right, they've breached the lower levels, those Rathtars will rip us to shreds. You'll have to reboot the power to lock the doors again but it requires manual activation."

Shepard looked at Jacob "You stay here with Garrus." She ordered "Zaeed, Miranda and I will lock those doors."

"Watch out Shepard, Rathars are one of the most dangerous creatures." Garrus warned

"Close the shutters and destroy the controls." Garrus told them "There are three shutters down there to close. Head down stairs and through the door just behind them, that takes you to the lower level."

"We're on it." Shepard said and then she along with Miranda and Zaeed left the balcony.

...

The three of them quickly made their way down the stairs and into the basement level. They found the first shutter quickly and Shepard quickly overrode the controls to shut in. She along with Zaeed formed a firing line in order to hold off a group of Blood Pact Mercs that tried to storm through. The shutter quickly shut on top of one of the vorcha slicing it in two. They quickly went through a side corridor where they shut the second shutter. But when it came to the third one, the job became even harder.

The third shutter was located within a large storage room with lots of open space to find cover but that was not what made it harder. It seemed that the Rathtars was here and even before Shepard could get to the room, the Blood Pact along with Kanjiklub were already fighting off two rathtars that had gotten loose and were tearing them apart.

When Shepard finally entered the room, the Rathtars had done most of the work in taking out the enemies and she finally saw what made Zaeed so worried about the Rathtars. They looked like massive balls with mouths full of rotating teeth and had large tenticles that grabbed their play and threw them into the mouths. Shepard watched as one Rathtar grabbed hold of the large bearded man that Shepard had seen in the meeting with the Blue Suns leader Tarak and swallow him whole in one bite. Shepard and the team all unleashed fire on the Rathtars and the combined fire managed to eventually take down one Rathtar but the other one was still on the hunt. Eventually, the Rathar made its way behind the shutter to attack a group of Blood Pact Vorcha reinforcements that were arriving. Shepard quickly took the opportunity to shut the door and finally making the basement safe again.

...

Back in the hideout, Garrus and Jacob kept watch but then they heard a noise and went into the main room and saw the other side door was sparking, Garrus then called Shepard "Shepard get back here." He ordered "They're coming in through the side door."

Just as Garrus finished that, the door finally blew open and some Blood Pact Mercs walked in led by the hulking Krogan known as Garm who roared out "Rip them to shreds!" he growled only for a Vorcha beside him to get shot by Garrus with his rifle "Watch my back, I'll deal with Archangel!"

Then Shepard, Zaeed and Miranda quickly returned and the close quarters fight began. This fight was tougher since there was not much space to find cover and some of the Blood Pact had powerful flamethrowers which sent spews of fire that even though the shields protected them from getting burnt made it hard to see. Garm was also a touch fighter just by himself, he had a very strong protective armour that most bullets just dented and a powerful barrier created by his limited biotic powers. It took a hail of bullets from Zaeed and a biotic blast from Miranda in order to bring down the Barrier and then it took everyone's combined fire to eventually damage his armour enough. Garm gave a loud roar and ripped his armour off his him and then charged knocking back Zaeed. Jacob fired all he could with help from Garrus shooting at him from above. Eventually Garm got tired out and Zaeed managed to get up and pull out a large shotgun and shot his many times in the head until all that was left was a mashed body part that looked unrecognisable.

They all then regrouped on the balcony where Garrus smiled "Well done Shepard, they barely made a scratch to me. Plus we took out Garm and his blood pact and I heard about Tasu Leech and Kanjiklub, they are both tough sons of bitches. This day keeps getting better and better even if they were trying to kill me."

"I take it you've fought them before?" Shepard asked

"I caught Garm once before when he was alone with no back up." Garrus answered "Even then I couldn't take him out, I've never seen a Krogan move that fast, he was a freak of nature. He kept at it until his Vorcha showed up and I had to let him go. As for Tasu, I've never really met him before, Kanjiklub was a relatively small gang but beginning to go big in recent years. Tasu managed to force all of the members until his wing by fear even though he refuses to speak with a translator, claims it's for weaklings. He's big on smuggling dangerous creatures for both illegal fight pits and collectors; I've heard of him a bit but never dealt with it much on the Citadel since that job fell to a different section of C-Sec than the part I was in. Still at least they won't pose a danger to the Citadel now."

"Now it's just the Blue Suns left plus the Guavian Death Gang which again are small." Zaeed stated "Maybe we should just fight our way out this time."

"You're friend is right." Garrus replied "Tarak has the toughest group but nothing we haven't faced before. Besides he won't be expecting an attack face on."

But then they heard a loud noise and looked to the side as the window shattered and a hail of bullets came through from Tarak's gunship forcing everyone to dive for cover. "Damn it, I thought I took that thing out already! They're offloading troops, watch out Shepard!"

"I sabotaged it earlier so it's not at full strength." Shepard replied

They all ducked for cover and began holding off the Blue Suns troops that came from the shuttle or repelled down the walls. Unlike the Blood Pact, the Blue Suns were well trained troops instead of creatures that tried to overwhelm their enemies and unlike the Eclipse droids, they were not weak and had strong armour so this fight was tougher. Tarak was in the gunship while the troops were led by his second in command Jentha who Shepard had met earlier. She had strong armour with good shields that forced Miranda to try and overload them while dodging fire from the remaining Blue Suns troops. This fight was hard since Shepard and the team were backed into a corner and from time to time, Tarak would appear in the gunship to fire at them. It was just as hard since they soon came in from the bottom floor forcing Shepard and Jacob to the main building to prevent these troops from trying to attack them from behind. This fight took a while but eventually Jentha's shields overloaded and a quickly spray of bullets from Zaeed weakened her armour and shot her until she fell back dead. The rest of the Blue Suns soon followed suit.

Tarak saw everything and was angry "ARCHANGEL!" he roared "You think you can screw with the Blue Suns, this ends now!" He fired the gunships powerful chainguns damaging Garrus' armour and forcing him to take cover and then he fired several missiles striking near Garrus' position and throw him back in the explosion.

Shepard entered the room again and gasped at Garrus' body "Garrus!" she yelled and ran behind a box to take cover from the gunship.

The gunship despite having been old was still strong and the bullets from their guns had no effect against it even though it had no shields. Their machine guns could not penetrate the armour but luckily, Zaeed had just the weapon, an ML-77 Missile launcher. Shepard, Jacob and Miranda got the gunship's fire on them while Zaeed went to the other window and fired his first missile at the gunship which struck the side temporarily disabling the weapon controls. Tarak tried to get the weapons back online but before he could, Zaeed fired another missile striking the engines and causing the gunship to spin out of control. Everyone watched as the gunship struck the side of a building before plummeting down into the abyss below.

With Tarak dead, Shepard ran over to Garrus' body. He was still breathing but barely and was raspy. "We're getting you out of here Garrus. Radio Joker, tell him he needs to pick us up and tell Dr Chakwas to get the medical bay ready."

"Better hurry, he looks bad." Jacob said

"Better hurry back before the Guavian Death Gang decides to try and attack as well." Zaeed added knowing that there was still one gang left.

...

Unknown to them all, the Guavian Death Gang was no longer in the area. They had left when the attack began but not because they were cowards but because they had other business to attend to. Bala-Tik, the leader of the gang had actually recognised Shepard when she had met with Tarak and decided he needed to inform some contacts of his. When he got to a place where he could contact them, he got his communicator out "Contact the First Order." He said "Tell them that Commander Shepard is back and she is on Omega but probably won't be here for long." After a few moments of silence, the then carried on "And send word to Vogga the Hutt, tell him that his prize is here."

Chapter End:

Notes: Well this chapter ended up being longer than I thought it would be. Like I said unlike Mass Wars episode 1 this story will not completely follow Mass Effect 2 story though it will in places but it will change once the first wave of recruits have been recruited and some locations will change like when it gets to the recruitment of Kasumi who will probably be the next recruit after finishing on Omega since Shepard needs a tech expert. I plan to do the next chapter of the Wolf Awakens next since it's a chapter I really want to do and I'm going on holiday in a few weeks so I want to try and get it done before I go since I won't be able to write while I'm away.
