Opening Song:

"Vandalize" by One OK Rock

As the teams gathered together, waiting for the time clock to count down, signaling the start of the Cavalry Battle, Todoroki brought his team together to form their strategy.

"I chose the three of you because I believe we'll make for the most stable formation possible," Shoto was saying.

"Forgive me, Todoroki, but I have to ask," Tenya interrupted in a hushed tone. "You're a Saiyan hybrid, just like Gohan, so does that mean you can replicate his abilities, as well?"

"Whatever abilities my Saiyan genes give me is irrelevant. Using those powers is out of the question," Shoto replied, looking up at Iida. "I never use my Saiyan powers in combat."

Shoto diverted his attention for a slight moment towards the golden figure that was standing at the VIP box reserved for the Endeavor Agency. Vegeta was bathed in a golden light. The fiery golden rays emanating from his body tinted his hair blinding gold and his eyes gained a greenish-teal glow as well.

In his Super Saiyan Form, Lord Vegeta stood beside Nappa and Burnin, arms crossed over his white and gold armor and red cape, watching over Shoto with an impatient scowl. Shoto shot his father an icy glare before turning back to his team.

"Are you sure that's a wise strategy?" Iida pressed. "You said it yourself, objectively, Gohan's the most powerful classmate we have. If we don't use every weapon in our arsenal, we'll be completely outmatched."

"He's right, Todoroki," Momo added. "Besides, you've seen what he's really capable of. What if he transforms into that monster again? If you hold back now, we won't stand a chance against Gohan."

"Hmph. I don't think so," Shoto huffed, glaring at Gohan and clearing a lock of reddish brown hair from over his black left eye. "Even with a tail, Gohan cannot possibly transform into an Oozaru without a full moon. Besides, he's already revealed to us his weakness, you see. We now know his shatter-point – the chink in his armor."

"His tail, perhaps?" Yaoyorozu said, rubbing her chin.

"No," Iida cut in, shaking his head. "Gohan is smart enough to keep his tail shielded with his Quirk."

Melissa cocked her head, curiously.

"Shoto, are you saying that you actually found what Gohan's weakness is?" She asked.

"Not what it is, but whom," Todoroki replied.

Melissa gasped. Suddenly it all made sense.

"You're going to target Uraraka," Melissa whispered, feeling a chill course down her spine.

"No," Todoroki said, giving off a chilling, rare smirk. "You are."

"WHAT?!" Melissa yelled, stepping one foot forward. "Why me?"

"Because you are close to every member of Midoriya's team, especially Midoriya. Gohan will be hard-pressed to attack you, and I doubt that Midoriya would order him to hurt you, either. You are our trump card, the ace in our sleeve," Todoroki finished explaining. "Iida and Yaoyorozu will be our horses. Iida will add speed and agility to the team. Yaoyorozu will create defensive and offensive weapons which Shield will use to attack Team Midoriya's horses as our team's Knight.

"That's not what I signed up for, Todoroki!" Melissa shouted. "Ochaco is my friend. If I hurt her, Gohan would never forgive me."

"Is that so?" Todoroki responded coldly, cutting her off with his icy voice. "But I thought you said you wanted a shot at Gohan."

"Yes,at Gohan, because he can take it,but Ochaco-"

"Melissa," Momo said with a gentle smile. "This is just a competition. I understand how you must feel right now, but just because you're competing for one round doesn't make you enemies for life."

"Precisely," Iida added. "I have great respect and admiration for Class Rep Son as well as Midoriya and Uraraka, but it's because I respect them so much that I'm going to treat them like worthy opponents."

"Can we count on you?" Shoto asked.

Melissa bit her lower lip and looked down at her pink sneakers, feeling torn and conflicted. After a moment she sighed and nodded.

"Alright, then," she said, looking up at Todoroki. "Let's do it."

"Almost everyone in the audience is foaming at the mouth for Class 1A.

Why is that?

They're so full of themselves, just like Tetsutetsu said earlier. Why are they stars? The only difference between us and them is that they fought a couple of villains. Just because we're Class B doesn't mean we're second rate or can't win this whole thing. So let's step it up and show those jerks what we can do."

Neito Monoma finished his proposal to the three other boys from Class B that were assembled together in front of him. "Are you with me?"

A few feet away from them, Ochaco was helping Gohan strap the reading device onto his back to make it easier for him to run.

"Hey you guys," Izuku said, approaching them. "Have you seen Fu? We'll be starting any minute now."

"Yeah," Ochaco said, pointing her thumb over her shoulder. "He said he needed to take a call so he stepped away towards the tunnel."

"Oh, I see him," Izuku nodded.

Fu was pacing back and forth, whispering into a cylindrical handheld communication device.

"...yes!" he hissed quietly. "I told you, I'm working right now, but when I wrap up business here, I'll contact you with the details. Yes… yes… You tell that punk that everything is going according to plan."

Fu glanced up at Gohan and Ochaco as she finished strapping the device onto Gohan's back.

"Pretty soon, I'll have a brand new toy for him that he'll just be itchin' to get his hands on-"

"Excuse me, Fu?" Izuku asked, making Fu jump up in surprise with a yelp. Fu quickly slipped the device up his sleeve and smiled at Izuku, running a purple hand threw his white hair.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" Izuku apologized quickly. "Didn't mean to startle you there. But the Cavalry Battle is about to start, so we should probably take our position, now."

"Heyyy, Midoriyaaa," Fu said, breathlessly. "Ah, don't worry about that. I was just talking to… uh, Miss Tights! About a project I'm late for, that's all… Yeah, come on, we better get set up, then!"

As the two teammates made their way back to Gohan and Ochaco, Ochaco set up the transmitter, a golden tiara-like device designed to read her brainwaves so that she could control the tractor beam device.

The transmitter cleared Ochaco's hair away from her face and she tucked it in behind her ears. Gohan froze, taken aback by Ochaco's glowing beauty. Ochaco noticed him staring at her and giggled.

"What?" She squeaked.

"Nothing," Gohan said shyly. "You look great with your hair like that, Ochaco."

Ochaco felt like she was going to melt into a puddle there and then.

"So…" she stammered. "Y-You like short hair on girls, Gohan? Is that it?"

"Hmm, I dunno. I never thought about it," Gohan shrugged, rubbing cheek with a finger. "I like you."

"Yeah," Ochaco said, feeling her heart hammering away, making her lightheaded. She sighed and smiled. "I like you, too."

There it was again, that thing that had been building up between her and Gohan, out in the open, palpable and real. The two teens stared at each other for a moment before they heard Izuku and Fu walking back to them.

Gohan smiled and held up a fist towards Ochaco.

"Okay, this is it. Round Two! No giving up, okay? Let's win this and advance to the next round!"

"YEAH!" Ochaco shouted happily, bumping her fist against his.

Fu and Ochaco took their positions behind Gohan, who stretched his arms back. Ochaco and Fu clutched Gohan's hands, allowing the barefooted Izuku to climb up onto their open palms. Together they lifted him up, and from that height, Izuku could see the hungry eyes of the other teams that were no doubt aiming to come at them as soon as the game began.

Even Kendo, the peppy Big Sis of Class B was eyeing him with a focused, determined stare.

"Oh boy," Midoriya whimpered to himself. This was going to be a rocky fifteen minutes.

Below him, Ochaco looked at Gohan's hand and smiled. With her fingers interlaced with his, hand in hand, there was nothing that they couldn't accomplish together.

They would succeed.

She had no doubt about that.

"Okay, all you first years!" Mic announced as the teams finally formed and lifted up their riders. "I hope you're happy with your chosen teams, because it's time to get it on!"

"That's right, Mic!" Hercule added. "We've got one final countdown before the game starts!"

"ONE!"

"Time to murder 'em!" Bakugo growled, eyeing at Deku.

"TWO!"

"He's ours!" Todoroki breathed, staring at Gohan.

"Ready you guys?" Izuku asked his team.

"YEAH!" Ochaco shouted, eyes narrowed and determined.

"Yuppers!" Fu sang happily.

"Ready!" Gohan responded with a confident smirk.

Izuku steadied his breathing as the floating camera drones swirled around them, projecting video of the ten teams for the giant monitors and TVs. Midnight nodded and raised her whip, licking her lips with a sadistic smile.

"AAAAAND… THREEEEE" She called out, then swung her flogging whip down with a sharp snap. "CLAAASH!"

Almost immediately, the other nine teams jumped straight for Team Midoriya's Ten Million Points.

CHAPTER FORTY – THE SPORTS FEST III: THE CAVALRY STRATEGY

At the staff breakroom, the Crane Hero Thrice, also known as Tien and the retired Pro Hero Wolf Fang, Yamcha, watched as Yamcha's girlfriend, Mount Lady, flirted her way into getting free food from the food stands.

"You really don't have any shame, do you, Yuu?" Yamcha said through clenched teeth, his face flushing as red as the sleeveless shirt he was wearing.

"Hey, a girl's gotta eat!" Lady responded, sitting down on the table with them. "You're just mad that you can't charm your way into getting free food, old man!"

"I'm not that old! And at least I pay for my stuff with money, not by shakin' my ass!" Yamcha retorted, stuffing his face angrily with his burger and chomping away, annoyed.

"Hey, I heard all about you, Wolf Fang! You weren't some saint back in the day, either! How on earth did you put up with him all those years, Thrice?" Lady huffed, biting into one of her Takoyaki balls.

Tien didn't respond. He was staring at the screen as the Cavalry Battle began and the teams lunged at Team Midoriya, hands tucked in under the double tailed white cape, which folded over his arms and Crane gi like two large white wings.

"Uh, Tien?" Mount Lady asked again. Tien's eyes snapped away from the television back to the heroes at the table.

"Oh, sorry," he said with an awkward smile. "I was just reminiscing a little, that's all."

"Thinking about the good old days, huh?" Yamcha said with a laugh and looked over at the screen, which showcased Team Midoriya fighting off Team Awase. "Every time I pass by the school, I get nostalgic. Who would have thought that old motley crew from Musutafu and Paozu would go on to become heroes?"

Tien smiled ruefully and took a sip of his green tea.

"Yeah, but it's just not the same…"

"Of course not," Lady said with her mouth stuffed. "That was like a million years ago!"

"Ha! But that's not what I mean. You guys can see it, can't you?" He asked, looking at Yamcha and Yuu. "I don't know, maybe this is an old school way of thinking, but back in the day, the Sports Festival meant something. It doubled as training as well as an opportunity to get scouted. Nowadays, it isn't really about preparing the students to become heroes. It's just another simulation of the competition they'll face once they go pro."

"Yeah, not to mention, they're monetizing almost every inch of the festival," Yamcha added, glancing over at the endless stands of food and licensed merchandise. "It's all one big commercial for the school, now."

"Well yeah, in case you two fossils haven't noticed, the country's become saturated with hero agencies," Lady said, taking a sip of her drink. "Nowadays, you gotta do everything you can to keep your head up above water, or the next new hero will come and trample all over you. It's kinda depressing, honestly."

"Are you joking?" Yamcha scoffed, irritated. "You've certainly had no problems stealing the spotlight to stay on top!"

"And I didn't hear you complainin' about me being I'm on top last night!" Yuu shouted back at her boyfriend.

Tien chortled, spitting out his tea.

"Are those two still fighting?!" A high-pitched nasally voice called out from behind him. The trio turned towards the voice to find Krillin and Eighteen walking towards them.

"…and then there are things that never change," Tien smiled, welcoming the two old friends as they joined them at the long table. "Krillin, Lazuli, good to see you two again!"

"Eighteen!" Lady shrieked, excitedly. "How are you living, girl? It's so good to see you up and walking again."

"Meh, I'm fine," Lazuli responded with a shrug. "Had to get a lot of parts replaced, but Pops and Dave fixed me up, so I'm good as new now."

"O-M-G!" Lady sighed with a dreamy smile. "I saw Dave from afar earlier. That gorgeous man is aging like fine wine! He's divorced, isn't he, Eighteen? That means he's available, right?"

"HEY!" Yamcha shouted.

"Just kidding, Babe!" Yuu chortled. "Unless…"

"Yeah I dunno what's up with him and Tights," Lazuli shrugged, clearing a blonde strand from her face. "He still walks around with that wedding band on, even though they've been divorced for years. I guess the poor guy's never gotten over her."

"What's up, you guys?" Krillin asked, setting his food down on the table. "Yamcha! I haven't seen you in ages, man! How've you been? Great game last weekend, by the way. I can tell you haven't stopped training, with the home-runs you hit."

"Thanks!" Yamcha said, slightly embarrassed. "Sorry I couldn't help out with the USJ Incident. I got a call from the Police Force, but I was already on the train to Osaka for the finals. But I heard it was quite the reunion."

"Sure was," Eighteen said with a smile. "Everybody was there; Myself, Tien, Krillin, Mic, Toshinori, Aizawa, Piccolo – I think, even grumpy old Vegeta joined in. The only one missing besides you was Kakarot."

Yamcha blew out a sad sigh and nodded.

"Poor Goku. I miss that funny little guy. It's such a shame, what happened to him. All those powers he had, those amazing things he could do, had me convinced that he was invincible, only to get killed like that at barely twenty-five."

Krillin and Tien exchanged a secretive glance and Krillin gulped and nodded.

"To Son Goku," Tien said, raising his teacup. The other heroes stared for a moment before raising their glass. "May he live on forever young!"

"To Son Goku," they toasted in unison.

"Well, on the bright side," Krillin said, placing his glass down. "If you look closely at one of the teams, you might see a familiar face," he said with a mischievous chuckle.

"Who?" Lady asked, rubbing her chin and leaning in towards the TV. "I see Tenya, the little brother of Ingenium. Momo Yaoyorozu, the heiress of the Yaoyorozu Arms Conglomerate, Shoto Todoroki the son of Vegeta…"

"Oh, look! Melissa's on their team, too," Yamcha noted. "Oh and look Tien, there's your little apprentice, Ojiro!"

"Yep, I see him," Tien said proudly.

"Wait, is that-?" Yamcha stood up from his seat, his jaw dropping. "No way!"

"Uh-huh, it sure is," Krillin chuckled.

"Gohan…?!" Yamcha whispered, covering his mouth.

"Hey, you're right! That really is Gohan!" Tien gasped. "I can recognize his ki signature now. It feels just like Goku's!"

"Wait a minute!" Eighteen said, slamming her drink on the table. "You mean to tell me that Gohan is Kakarot's kid? The one Chi-Chi was pregnant with when they left California?"

"Yep, that's right!" Krillin flashed her a smile.

"Hey, I remember him, too!" Yuu said. "He's one of the students who gave us a hand with those two Majin bastards that rampaged through the Marketplace just before the USJ Incident! I don't know who Goku was, but his son's got the heart of a true hero! Not to mention, he's kinda easy on the eyes…"

"And he's still putting himself on the line to keep his friends safe, despite it costing him points in each event," Tien commented, leaning back on his chair. "It's amazing how he's already touched so many lives at his young age. Like father, like son, am I right?"

"Ahhh! Now it all makes sense! Why didn't my scanners pick up on it before?" Lazuli said, watching as Gohan used his legs to block Jiro's sonic blast, then swung his opposite leg back to propel the team into flight. "That power, that presence, that endurance. Of course he's Goku's son!"

"And the bloodbath continues!" Hercule shouted with a laugh. "It's basically one giant battle for the ten million points, folks! But Son Gohan and his team keep leapin' out of reach thanks to Ochaco Uraraka's Zero Gravity Quirk. Can they keep this up for the full fifteen minutes?!"

Team Midoriya soared high up in the sky. Ochaco's Quirk made everyone weightless and Gohan tugged on their arms, taking his three teammates into the sky with him to avoid Team Hagakure's attacks.

"Gohan, how long can you keep us in flight?" Izuku asked.

"As long as we need, Izuku!" Gohan called back. "But I can't use my speed. Even with Zero Gravity, the force might end up ripping Fu and Ochaco's arms off."

"No thanks! I'd like to keep my arms, please," Fu said, reaching out back to draw his blade out. Thanks to Ochaco's quirk, she, Fu and Gohan were able to hold Izuku up with just one arm, making it possible to use the opposite arm freely. Fu slashed at the air and sent a dark purple ki blast flying down to intercept Team Rin's scale bullets.

Team Rin was forced to retreat as the blast landed where they had just been standing.

"Watch it, Fu!" Izuku yelled. "Only the Knight can attack other horses, remember?"

"I know!" Fu responded. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna hit anyone – just keeping them at a distance."

"Tch! Damn support course!" Shinso cursed as his team screeched to a halt and turned to pursue the floating team. "After them!"

Izuku's mind buzzed, trying to think of a strategy when two purple objects flew past him. Two purple-gloved hands flew in from out of nowhere, swiping at his headband. A floating, shark-tooth mouth similar to Kirishima's appeared next to a floating green eye.

"WHAT THE HECK?!" Izuku shouted, bringing his gauntlet up to shield him and slamming on the red button. A round ray shield burst out with a shimmering red light, and the two hands clashed against it, bouncing off harmlessly.

"Hey, you're Izuku Midoriya, aren't you?" The mouth asked excitedly. "You're kinda cute up close. We should go out sometime! We'd be the ultimate Green Team couple. Name's Setsuna Tokage from Class B!"

"Wait, I know you," Midoriya said. "You're one of the four students who got in on a recommendation!"

Class 1B Hero Student – Setsuna Tokage.

Quirk: Lizard Tail Splitter.

She can split up her body into as many as 50 pieces and remotely control them to move freely and levitate through the air at high speeds. Setsuna's pieces can also regenerate if they are destroyed.

"That's meeee!" Setsuna squealed. "Anyway, I'll be taking that headband now."

"Sorry, but I can't let that happen!" Izuku said, swatting her hands away with the ray shields on his gauntlets. Below him, a black-purple fist smashed against Gohan, who grunted and kicked out. A ki blast lanced out from Gohan's boot and drove the creature back.

"D-Dark Shadow?!" Izuku gasped. The monstrous shadow bird emanating from Team Setsuna's Knight, Fumikage Tokoyami, wound back and surged forward again in another attempt to swipe at Gohan, but Fu slashed his sword forward and shot a blast of light that purged the shadow. It recoiled with a wounded howl.

Just as Dark Shadow prepared to strike again, Team Setsuna was attacked by Team Bakugo.

"AWWW YEAHHH! BRING IT ON, BABY!" Kirishima howled with delirious excitement, his skin glowing red from Videl's protective energy barrier. With his body completely hardened, he crashed into Tokoyami below, knocking the entire team to the ground.

"Outta the way, birdface!" Bakugo shouted. "Deku's mine!"

Videl stretched her hand out and swiped the 295 Points headband off of the stunned Setsuna's forehead and handed it to Bakugo.

"I don't want that trash!" Bakugo shouted again, looking up at Team Midoriya who was still floating in midair. "We're going after the Ten Mill!"

"Just shut up and put it on!" Videl shouted back. Bakugo gritted his teeth, but obliged, slipping the white headband around his neck.

"OOOHH NOO! Team Setsuna has been completely steamrolled! Is that even allowed?!"

"Team Setsuna was taken out by Kirishima, the Knight of Team Bakugo, so it's a fair move," Midnight declared. "Besides, we're only five minutes into the round, so Team Setsuna has plenty of time to attempt a recovery."

"Did I hear that right?!" Hercule chimed in. "It's a total free for all, now! You can even ignore the ten million points and go after the other chart toppers!"

"And just like that, Team Bakugo jumps up to second place with 960 points, followed by Team Kendo's 705 points and Team Todoroki's 615 in fourth place!" Mic added. "Just ten more minutes remaining to clinch a spot in the final tournament!"

An explosion sounded off from the battle stage below, as Bakugo propelled himself up and away from his team, aiming straight for Midoriya.

"Don't think for a second you're safe up there, Deku!" He roared as he flew towards them. "I've got you!"

Izuku saw him coming and raised himself on the balls of his feet, winding his arm back. Full Cowling, three percent! Green electricity shot off from his arm and traveled up and down his body, raising Izuku's hair and brightening his eyes. At the last possible second, just as Bakugo reached out to grab his headband, Izuku twisted his hip and swung his arm around, connecting with Bakugo's jaw. Sorry about this Kacchan, but Gohan, Ochaco and Fu are counting on me – and I won't let them down!

"SMAAAASH!" He shouted. Bakugo, who had been expecting Izuku to retreat and cower in fear, had been unprepared for the blow. For a moment, his world darkened as he fell back down to the ground.

"Shit! I knew he shouldn't have done that!" Videl cursed. She let go of Mina and Kirishima's arms and powered up her Quirk. The Orange Star glowed under her feet and spun as she summoned her Star Power. Her eyes glowed and the light of the star lifted up around her ankles.

"I got him!" She shouted and blasted off, using the strength from her Quirk to fly up into the air and intercepted the falling blonde, who had been completely dazed from the blow. Videl wrapped her arms around Bakugo and twisted her body to land upright, her Quirk cushioning the fall, and spun into a swiveling squat.

"What the hell?! Get off of me, Pigtails!" Bakugo gasped and shoved Videl away, jumping back to his feet. Videl growled, rising to her feet again.

"Nice catch, V!" Kirishima called back.

"Damn it, Bakugo!" Videl shouted as the team caught up to the dazed blonde and picked him up. "Don't just go off on your own like that. We're a team, here!"

"ARRRGH! Dammit! Shut up and go after them!" Bakugo shouted, rubbing at the wound on his chin with his knuckles. His wild red eyes narrowed down. "THAT DAMN NERD!"

Up in the air, Team Midoriya was still getting hit by long-range attacks. Gohan let go of Fu's hand and used it to fire off a series of ki blasts at Jurota Shishida, who was charging towards them. The hairy brown beast tripled in size and leaped out at them, and the ki blasts shot him down, only to be followed by Ibarra Shiozaki's vines and Tsuyu Asui's frog tongue, all lashing out at them.

"Deku, we need to think of something!" Uraraka shouted as the team took fire from Jiro's sonic blasts and Hiryu Rin's scale bullets. "We're sitting ducks up here!"

Gohan…Bardock's voice rang in Gohan's head again. The Ultimate MoveNow's your chance! You can end it all right now!

Not yet! Gohan yelled back, internally.

"Gohan, take us down!" Izuku shouted. "We need to find something big and sturdy for Uraraka to lift up with the tractor beam."

"Got it!" Gohan called back, releasing his ki. The team followed Gohan as he dove back down towards the concrete stage.

Gohan slammed his brown boots down on the ground as they landed, shattering the ground to several large pieces of concrete.

"Will these work?"

"Yeah, I think so. Uraraka," Midoriya called out. "See if you can pick up those pieces to shield us!"

"I'll try!" Ochaco yelled back, swinging her free arm down and tapping it on the three slabs of concrete.

"Here it goes!" She yelled, lifting up with her hands. The coil inside the backpack she was wearing glowed bright red with Fu's dark energy and as Ochaco lifted her palm, the slabs lifted up from the ground and began to float, rotating in a protective orbit around the team, caught by the red tractor beam.

"Woo-hoo!" Ochaco squealed with delight. "Look at me, you guys! I'm a real space hero now!"

"Looking great, cute-stuff!" Fu cheered giddily. "With the neurotransmitter, you can control the slabs and send them flying wherever you want!"

Kaminari's electricity shot out towards the team, along with Ojiro's ki blasts, but Ochaco swung her arm around. The tractor beam guided the floating slabs in front of them, intercepting the incoming electricity and forming a wall that barred the two teams from getting any closer.

"There you go! See? You've got the hang of it!" Fu said, giving Ochaco a thumbs up. "Now, let's protect our ten million points and win this thing!"

"YEAH!" Ochaco cheered. As they received more projectile attacks, Ochaco continued to hover the slabs around to block their team. The scale bullets, electric shocks, horns and ki blasts peppered against the slabs, tearing into them, but the slabs held.

I hope they last long enough for us to finish the battle! Ochaco silently prayed as Gohan pulled them ahead.

"Aha! They're back on the ground now, Kyoka!" Toru cried out triumphantly, pointing at Team Midoriya. "Full speed ahead!"

But Kyoka gasped in horror.

"Crap! Hagakure!" She shouted. "Your headband!"

"T-They got us!" Sato cried.

Behind them, the invisible rider, Neito Monoma reappeared, swinging the headband around his finger playfully.

"Seriously, that was too easy," he laughed to himself. He fastened the captured headband under his chin and set his sights on their next target, Team Bakugo.

"Now at the halfway point, several headbands have switched places," Mic announced, signaling that they had reached the seven-minute-mark.

"Oh man!" Hercule shouted, slapping a large hand over his forehead. "Class 1A ain't lookin' too good right now! Aside from Team Midoriya, none of the other Class A students are in the top four!"

"Even Bakugo's lost his headband!" Mic added.

Bakugo's eyes widened as he felt an invisible hand pull the headband right off from the top of his head.

"Your class is too small-minded," Monoma chuckled, appearing with Bakugo's headband in his fingers. "You're all too focused on one singular objective that you've completely missed the forest for the trees."

"What the hell?! Where did he come from?" Videl shouted.

"What did you say?!" Bakugo howled. "Come back here!"

Monoma snickered and blinked at Bakugo. His eyes then flashed with a mischievous glint.

"Oh by the way, now that I have your attention," Monoma smiled sweetly. "You're kinda famous, aren't you? Ahh! Yeah! You're the guy who got trapped by the Sludge Villain, then by the Majin Villains and then again at the USJ Incident."

Katsuki's eyes twitched with rage and his teeth rattled audibly.

"I thought Class A was supposed to be so much better than ours. How does it feel, needing to get saved all the time?" Monoma asked sarcastically, brushing his chin with his fingers. "Must be embarrassing to constantly find yourself in the role of the victim."

"Kirishima!" Bakugo growled with a low, monstrous voice. "We have a slight change of plans."

"Yeah? AHHH!" Kirishima screamed, terrified by the murderous glare in Bakugo's whitened out eyes.

"Before we get Deku, we're gonna take out every last one of these B-list idiots first!"

"Now you're starting to make sense, Bakudork!" Videl agreed through clenched teeth, her eyes whitening out, mirroring Bakugo's ferocious demeanor and aggressive aura. "Let's crush those Class B bastards!"

"You two are starting to scare me!" Mina said nervously.

"Yeah, calm down, Bakugo!" Kirishima told the sandy blonde, who was beginning to shake violently out of rage. "We gotta keep a level head or we'll never get our points back!"

"AHHH! SHUT UP!" Bakugo shouted, slamming his fist into his hand and setting off an explosion. "I've never been calmer! Can't you tell?!"

When the smoke cleared, the enraged scowl in Bakugo's face had melted into a hungry, voracious smile. His eyes were wild and predatory and his hands emitted more explosions.

"Get after them, Kirishima!" He commanded.

"Let's kill those guys, Red!" Videl shouted, pushing Kirishima and the rest of the team forward into a run.

"Please don't make us regret this!" Kirishima cried, pulling ahead at full speed after Team Monoma.

Monoma turned back towards the approaching team with an unworried glance and smiled.

"You think you're so tough!" Bakugo growled, swinging his arm forward. "DIEEEE!"

At the last possible moment, Monoma swung an arm around, parrying Bakugo's reckless swing. Bakugo's hand bounced away from Monoma and the explosion shot harmlessly away. With the same move, Monoma lifted his opposite hand and fired off an equally massive explosion directly in Bakugo's face.

The unexpected attack stunned the entire team, who stumbled past Monoma.

"Ohhh!" Monoma stared at his smoking palms. "You've got some strong firepower, Bakugo. I'll give you that! A real winner would've been able to get his headbands back by now."

Monoma swiped down on Kirishima's hair just as Bakugo swiveled around.

"He's got explosions, too?!" Videl grunted.

Without another word, Bakugo lunged at Monoma again, fully intent on stealing the two headband's that had been stolen from him, but his arm hit something hard and solid.

"You both have impressive powers," Monoma chuckled. "But I think you'll find that my Quirk is better."

Monoma's entire upper body had hardened just like Kirishima's, allowing him to easily absorb Bakugo's explosion.

"WHAT? He's got my Quirk, too?!" Kirishima shouted, pulling the team back to regroup.

"So that's how it is," Bakugo clenched his teeth, pausing to strategize internally. "His Quirk – he can copy other powers."

Monoma smiled.

"Very good," he cooed. "It took you long enough to realize it."

Class B Hero Student – Neito Monoma

Quirk: Copy.

He can use the Quirks of whomever he touches, but only for five minutes. Plus, he can only burrow one at a time.

"After him!" Bakugo ordered, but his team stalled. An adhesive white fluid oozed out from one of Monoma's classmates, trapping Team Bakugo in place.

"My leg's stuck!" Kirishima shouted. "Pinky, give me a hand here?"

"No prob! Just give me a sec and I'll burn through this gunk!" Mina said, sticking her leg out. The hole-filled soles of her shoes opened and Mina's acid poured out, eating at the glue.

"Hey, no hard feelings, right, Bakugo?" Monoma continued to tease with a cocky smile as he put distance between the two teams. "After all, you are the one who provoked us! What was it you said when you interrupted your little Class Rep's speech? Oh, right. Oof. You said you were going to beat us all, remember? Well have fun doing that with zero points!"

"This isn't over," Bakugo swore, as Kirishima's foot came lose. Kirishima rushed into the team that had glued him to the ground and plowed over him with his hardening Quirk, and Mina snatched his headband off.

"WE'RE NOT FINISHED YET, BLONDIE!" Bakugo shouted. "I'm not just going to win – no, I'm going to be the undisputed champion, and stomp you into the ground!"

"Monoma!" one of his teammates said. "We need to get away from this maniac, pronto!"

"He's finished! Don't worry about him!" Monoma shrugged.

"Pigtails," Bakugo ordered. "How many powers can you combine with your Quirk?"

"Up to five," Videl shouted back.

"Good, we only need three," Bakugo said. "Shield us, especially your feet and Dumb Hair's. And give us your super-speed. Racoon Eyes, I want you to dump as much acid on the ground as possible."

"And what about the third power?" Videl asked.

"You remember that containment field you used to capture that stupid-ass rabbit at the USJ? Form it around my fists."

Videl smirked up at Bakugo.

"Instant pressure bomb. You got it, Bakugo. Let's kill those bastards!"

Team Monoma's Knight, Kosei Tsubaraba was keeping the other teams at bay with pockets of solid air when he heard a loud explosion from behind him, eliciting an uproar from the crowd. Coming straight for them, shooting like a rocket, was Team Bakugo, propelled forward by Videl's incredible speed and Mina's gushing acid.

"You're mine now!" Bakugo howled, holding his hands together. A red orb held his hands together, where a massive explosion was brewing similar to the explosion from his bomb gauntlets. Monoma's eyes widened and for the first time, his cocky expression melted.

Tsubaraba shot out a blast of solid air to capture Bakugo, but Bakugo swung his arm forward, unleashing his massive explosion. It detonated, sending the entire team falling to the ground, but not before Bakugo caught Monoma by the headbands, yanking them all back.

"L-look, you maniac," Monoma said, his voice trembling with fear now that his team had been knocked out. He clutched onto a final headband. "Take those headbands, if you want. But let me keep this one. I don't care if it means I pass in Fourth Place. Just give me a chance!"

"So you thought you could snatch up headbands and run off like a rat in the night, huh?" Bakugo growled victoriously as his team towered over Monoma, who crawled away from them in horror. "That's the difference between you and me, Blondie. I don't settle, I aim for the top. Let this be a lesson you remember for next year's Sports Festival. DIEEEEEE!"

A sadistic smile formed over Katsuki's face, like a predator preparing to deliver the killing blow.

Holding his hands together, he delivered a giant explosion that rocked the ground.

A black cloud of soot in the shape of a skull rose up high in the air, making the entire stadium cheer.

Bakugo tore the headband away from Monoma's grip and wrapped it over his neck, along with all the other headbands that Monoma had poached.

"Heh, badass!" Videl said and Kirishima gave Bakugo a thumbs up.

"Serves you right," Mina growled at the downed Class B Student. "Dumb blonde."

"Now," Bakugo said, his bloodlust satiated. "We're going after Deku and Todoroki."

"Monoma!" Rin shouted, seeing his classmate fall. But before he and Shishido could do anything to help, a small metallic beacon shot out from behind them, latching onto the floor.

Rin traced the origin of the shot to see Team Todoroki's Melissa Shield holding a large, one armed rifle with a wide barrel, taking aim at them and missing – on purpose. Iida pulled the team forward, running beside her and Yaoyorozu stood behind them in a reverse triangular formation, feeding more metal discs to Melissa, who continued to shoot them around the five or so other teams competing in the area.

"What is that?" Shishido asked and before Rin could respond, Team Awase's knight, Denki Kaminari was tangled up in a battle with Team Shoji's Asui for their headband. Sparks of his electrical Quirk flew in all directions as he prepared to unleash his attack.

Rin noticed that the disks buried on the ground began to vibrate and glow, attracting Kaminari's electricity.

"WAIT! NO!" Rin called out. "Those are super conductors, you fool!"

"Indiscriminate Shock!" Kaminari called out. "One million volts!"

The instant that he unleashed his attack, his electricity branched out, following the path set by the conductors on the ground. The electricity showered over the three teams, shocking them for several seconds and leaving them all paralyzed.

A wave of sub-zero winds blew across them, freezing all three teams in place.

Team Todoroki swept across the frozen field, snatching up all of the accumulated headbands.

"Good work, you three. We'll be taking these now," Shoto called out, holding the headbands up before fastening them over his neck. "Now, we've only got one last nuisance to take care of. Momo, create a turbolaser strong enough to take Gohan down. Melissa – once I give you the signal, fire the turbolaser at Ochaco. Aim for her center-mass. If my prediction is true, Gohan will try to save her and tank the hit himself. We'll have that long to take the headband from him."

"I… I think I have something that might help, Todoroki," Iida spoke up. "A move that I wanted to save in case I fought Gohan in the Final Tournament, but now's a good a time to use it as any. I call it, Recipro-Extend. I can set my leg engines into overdrive to give us an insane amount of speed, but I can only use it once because it will stall out my engines."

"Right," Shoto nodded. "Then that's the plan. We'll get the Ten Million Points and then I'll seal us in a wall of ice so that nobody can come after us once your engines stall. Then we wait out the time."

He craned his neck back.

"Yaoyorozu, how's that turbolaser coming along?" He asked.

"It's ready, Todoroki. Here, Melissa," Momo said from behind the blonde and Iida, handing Melissa a heavy-powered laser battery. "Just replace the superconductor clip with this one. This should pack enough punch to bring Gohan down for a few seconds, but it has to be a direct hit, or else, it won't work, got it?"

Melissa glanced back at the round battery clip and grunted through gritted teeth. She hesitated for a moment, but took the battery clip and attached it to the stun rifle that Yaoyorozu had created for her. She bit her lip down hard, and her heart drummed heavily against her chest as she lifted the barrel of the stun rifle and brought it to bear on Ochaco, who was busy keeping slabs of cement afloat, blocking an attack from Team Shinso.

"Melissa?" Iida yelled after the blonde hesitated again.

"I know!" Melissa shouted angrily.

Melissa closed her left eye, focusing her right eye on the rifle's sights. Her fingers trembled, making it hard for her to steady her aim.

"Do it!" Shoto ordered.

Please forgive me, Gohan! I'm really sorry about this, Ochaco! Melissa grunted, and pulled the trigger.

The instant that the supercharged green laser blast shot out of the barrel towards Ochaco, Gohan's Wild Sense kicked in and his head snapped over in the direction of the blast. Ochaco was completely oblivious to the blast that was shooting straight towards her.

With milliseconds to react, there was only one thing Gohan could do. Dropping Fu's hand, he dove in front of Ochaco. The green laser blast shot into him and coursed through his body like lightning.

"GOHAN!" Ochaco screamed.

The blast sent Gohan tumbling away, rolling in agony.

"Now, Iida!" Shoto commanded.

Iida squatted down and his engines gave off a fierce, high-pitched whine, powering up. The exhausts on his engines burned with bright blue fire.

"Brace yourselves," Iida warned. "Hold on tight, everybody! Torque-Overdrive! RECIPROOOO-BUUURST!"

With a sudden burst of speed, Team Todoroki shot forward like a canonball, flying straight towards Team Midoriya.

"Watch out!" Midoriya shouted to his team, who was still trying to register what had happened to Gohan. Ochaco gave out a shout, bringing the last two slabs she still had under her control to block the advancing team, but Todoroki sent out two waves of ice and froze them in place, and Melissa fired the turbolaser at them, shattering the two walls to pieces as the Team continued it's surge forward.

"Dang it, I'm out!" Ochaco shouted. "Do something, Fu!"

"NO!" Izuku commanded. "If anyone other than our Knight attacks their team, we'll be disqualified."

"There's gotta be something we can do!"

A wave of ice shot around them, trapping Team Midoriya between the ice on either ends, the end of the stage behind them and Team Todoroki directly in front of them. There was nowhere to run. The ice traveled over Gohan's budy, burying him underneath it.

Izuku bared his teeth. Without their Knight, they could neither defend themselves, nor fly away.
He was out of options.

"Here I am, Midoriya," Shoto said with a serious glare. "I'll be taking the ten million point headband now."

Just a few feet away from them, Gohan woke up to find himself trapped under a layer of ice that was meant to keep him pinned down. His world was spinning, but he forced himself to focus. From the corner of his eye, he saw his team, backed into a corner with Team Todoroki flying straight towards them.

Gohan summoned all the strength he had to break the layers of ice he was trapped under. The ice groaned and splintered, breaking off, but he wouldn't make it in time. Todoroki's team was now directly in front of Team Midoriya, and as Todoroki reached out and snagged Midoriya's headband from his head – a giant fist crashed against Todoroki, sending his team reeling back.

"GET AWAY FROM THEM, RIGHT NOW!" Kendo shouted as her team, headed by her knight Tetsutetsu rammed into Team Todoroki head on. Iida grunted out in pain, his eyeglasses shattering behind Tetsutetsu's headbutt.

"I hope that hurt, ya big nerd!" Tetsutetsu howled with delight in his metal form. "Ugh! Been wanting to do that since I met you in the Entrance Exam!"

"Iida!" Melissa yelled, swiveling around to aim the gun at Tetsutetsu, but a purple light illuminated the gun and snatched it up from her hands.

"Ew, guns are totally gross," Reiko said with disgust, lifting the rifle up with her Quirk and crushing it into a metal ball that exploded in midair.

"THIRTY SECONDS REMAINING!"

"Todoroki!" Momo yelled out in desperation. Kendo's enlarged fists rained down on Todoroki, who did his best to block the super-sized punches.

"Those points belong to Gohan!" Kendo said with a competitive smile. "If you think I'm just gonna let you take them from him, you're sorely mistaken!"

"You are the one," Shoto responded, stepping back and swinging his arm forward. "WHO IS MISTAKEN!"

A sky-reaching iceburg suddenly shot out from in front of Iida.

Kendo's eyes widened and she screamed out, unable to get out in time and her entire team was captured in the massive mountain of ice that peaked high above the stadium

"Kendo!" Tetsutetsu shouted as the ice swallowed him, Reiko and Yui up.

"Tetsutetsu!" She shouted. The ice froze Itsuka from the neck down, rendering her completely useless. Shoto's team galloped past her and Shoto glared at her.

"Next time, you should keep your emotions out of the fight, and think before you bite off more than you can chew," Shoto said, pulling Kendo's headband from her head. "Oh and by the way, no matter how much you worship him, Gohan will never notice you. His romantic affections are… elsewhere."

Itsuka craned her neck forward and clinched onto her headband with her teeth, in one final act of defiance. Her lips wavered and her green eyes watered and overflowed with tears, though Shoto couldn't decide if the girl was crying for herself and her team's elimination, from the biting cold of her frozen prison, or the sting of his words. It didn't matter. They were out of the competition already.

Todoroki stared at her for a moment and then yanked the headband out of her mouth callously.

"Hmph," he huffed, tying Kendo's headband around his neck.

"Gosh! Talk about cold-hearted!" Hercule announced. "Team Kendo marks the sixth team that Todoroki has all but eliminated. With ten seconds to spare, is this game basically over?!"

Behind them, Gohan yelled out, bursting free from the ice that had him trapped.

"Dammit! He's getting back up again!" Iida shouted in disbelief. He tried to run, but his engine's stalled, forcing Team Todoroki to a standstill.

"Of course he is," Melissa said with proud, tearful eyes and a wide smile. "He's Son-fucking-Gohan!"

"Tch! Yaoyorozu! Make another rifle, hurry!" Shoto shouted.

"I can't!" Momo grimaced with tired eyes. "I'm almost completely out of lipids-"

"Just do it!"

"...I'll try…" Momo whimpered.

"Gohan!" Ochaco said in relief. "Thank goodness!"

"Gohan!" Izuku cried as Gohan jumped into flight towards them. "We've got less than ten seconds!"

"Then let's make them count, you guys!" Gohan shouted, grabbing Ochaco and Fu's arms and pulling the team forward into one final assault.

"GO GET HIM, GOHAN!" Itsuka yelled from the ice she was trapped in.

"Gohan, are you sure you're fit for another bout?" Fu asked him and Gohan gave him a smirk.

"Oh, I'm ready this time. You hear that Todoroki?" Gohan shouted.

Todoroki looked up, hand stretched out to Yaoyorozu as she was desperately fighting to create another rifle. As Gohan charged at him, he was laughing.

Todoroki froze, unnerved by Gohan's uncharacteristic laughter.

"You know, it took me a second to figure out your team's bizarre formation," Gohan laughed. "The rest of us keep our Knights at the forefront and the two horses in the back for stability. But that's not why Iida and Melissa are in the frontlines, is it? Now that I think about it, it makes sense. We really aren't that different after all."

"What are you talking about?" Shoto barked.

"As Saiyans, we're nearly indestructible, so we're able to understand the fragility of those around us," Gohan said, looking straight into Shoto's dual colored eyes. "Especially the ones we care about the most! So we do what we can to protect them, and keep them out of harms way."

"You're not as cold-hearted as you pretend to be. You're a good person, Todoroki," Izuku called out. Shoto's eyes widened for a moment before narrowing again. "And that's why… you've shown us your weakness, too!"

Shoto froze and realization dawned on him, but it was too late.

"Gohan, NOW!" Izuku shouted.

With Uraraka's Quirk, Ochaco and Fu were able to hold Izuku up on their own so Gohan could use both of his hands.

"KAMEHAME-HAAAAA!" Gohan roared. A blast of pure sea-blue energy shot out of his palm and lanced out, bending around Melissa and continuing its trajectory past her – straight at Yaoyorozu.

Momo only had time to gasp, before the blinding white light crashed into her and lifted her up from the ground, throwing her back several meters.

"YAOYOROZU!" Shoto shouted. Without their third horse to support them and Iida's stalled engines, Shoto's sudden shift in weight pulled back on Melissa and Iida's shoulders, and they struggled to maintain their balance. That was the opening that Midoriya needed.

"This is our chance!" Gohan called, grabbing Ochaco and Fu's hands and pulling ahead into flight.

"We can still get our points back, Deku!" Ochaco shouted. "I know we can!"

"Make it count, Midoriya!" Fu shouted.

"GOOOO!" They shouted in unison.

As the team flew past Team Todoroki, Izuku reached out and grabbed a handful of Todoroki's headbands, pulling with all of his might. Todoroki's eyes turned to stare into Izuku's eyes with a burning blue ferocity in both of them.

"YOU BASTARDS! You hurt her!" He shouted and flames erupted from his left side, burning Izuku's hand, causing him to drop all but one of the headbands. Iida quickly swiped the headbands off the floor.

At the same time, Team Bakugo appeared from around the corner.

"Who's got the points?" He asked, glancing from Izuku to Shoto.

"Screw it, give it to them both and take all of their headbands!" Videl hissed viciously.

"My thoughts exactly!" Bakugo said with a sadistic smile, holding his hands up and forming compressed explosions inside of Videl's containment orbs.

"Izuku!" Gohan yelled and yanked the team away from Shoto.

Izuku cried out in pain but held onto the last headband just as the countdown finished. He quickly unlatched the burning gauntlet and dropped it to the floor. Shoto's fire blazed from his left side and both of his eyes glowed bright blue as Bakugo flew in from above…

A deafening horn rang out, signaling the end of the Second Round. Bakugo comically fell flat on his face eliciting chortles of scornful laughter from Eijiro, Videl and Mina.

"TIMES UP!" Present Mic announced. "And with that, the Second Round is officially over!"

"What – already?" Hercule added. "Aw well, time to see who advances to the Final Tournament. Remember folks, only the top four teams get to pass."

"Are you alright, Izuku?" Fu asked, concerned. "Were you able to get the 10 Mill back?"

Izuku didn't respond. He stared down at the big red 70 Points headband.

Oh no… We… failed…

"In First Place – Team Todoroki!"

"As expected from the Son of Endeavor."

Realizing that he had activated his flames with his anger, Shoto quickly extinguished them and jumped off of Iida and Melissa's shoulders. Then he turned and ran over to check on Momo.

"Yaoyorozu!" He shouted. Momo stirred and picked herself up, holding a hand to her head and coughing violently. A slim sheet of armor had formed over her exposed belly which contained a scorched circle where Gohan's Kamehameha had struck.

"Damn it," she cursed, casting the thin shield aside. "I should have seen it coming."

"Are you hurt?" Shoto asked worriedly, taking her arm and helping her stand.

"I'm fine, Todoroki," Momo reassured him. "Did we make it?"

Shoto nodded and lifted up the bundled headbands.

"Yeah," he said, relieved. "I think we did."

"Ahhh! Good," she sighed. "Good job, everyone!"

"And in Second Place – Team Bakugo!"

"No surprise there. Clearly, my sweet little angel Videl led that bunch o' misfits to victory!"

"Aww!" Mina cried, fanning herself with her hands. "We were so close to winning first place!"

"I told you we weren't gonna win first place with Bakugo as the rider," Videl said, crossing her arms.

"Well at least we made it to the next round, and we were able to knock out those Class B jerks," Kirishima offered with a pained smile. "I'd say that's a win-win. Right, Bakugo?"

"AHHHH!" Bakugo shouted, pounding the ground with rage.

"In Third Place, it's team Kend- wait, no! It's Team Shinso! When did they come back from the dead?!"

"Whoa, did you see that? Teams Shoji and Awase practically forfeited the game and handed over their headbands to Team Shinso!"

"That'll do," Shinso said, smiling smugly at Ojiro, Class B Vice Rep Shoda and Ibarra. "Thanks for all your help."

Ojiro blinked rapidly and glanced around at his teammates, who stared back at him in confusion.

What… happened? Ojiro wondered.

Izuku clutched the white headband in his hand, feeling the cold sting of defeat. Everyone had sacrificed so much to get this far; they'd trusted him and when they needed him the most… the seventy points in the headband was nowhere near enough to pass to the next stage.

"Deku!" Ochaco called, running up to him with a childish smile.

"Uraraka," Izuku breathed, staring down at the ground, too ashamed to even look at his teammates in the eyes. "You all trusted me, and I let you all down. I'm so sorry…"

"Huh?" Ochaco froze. Then her lips curved into a proud smile. "Hey, don't apologize now, Deku! Look – we made it!"

"AND IN FOURTH PLACE – TEAM MIDORIYAAAAAAAAA!"

"Weird. You would've thought that havin' Gohan on their team would have given them first place!"

Izuku's head jerked up and he swiveled around.

"WHAT?" He squealed. "HOW?!"

Ochaco and Fu giggled and pointed at Gohan, who shot him a proud thumbs up and a blink. From behind him, Gohan's brown tail was waving a white headband with 800 points. Izuku couldn't believe his eyes!

"Well technically I didn't attack Todoroki," Gohan shrugged, handing Izuku the headband. "I just used my tail to snag one of the headbands you dropped. Looks like the plan worked, Izuku! Good job!"

Izuku took the white headband and stared at the red digits, barely able to register that his team had made it onto the next round.

"You guys-" was all Izuku managed before tilting his head back and crying loudly, spilling his tears everywhere.

"We did it!" Ochaco jumped up on Gohan's arms excitedly. "We're in the Final Tournament!"

Gohan laughed and nodded, taking the shorter girl in his arms for a tight hug and spun her around. As he did so, Shoto was melting the ice he had scattered throughout the field, and helped thaw out Itsuka's team.

Itsuka shivered, her skin already turning blue from being trapped in the icy wall. Gohan saw her and put Ochaco down, running towards her. Seeing Gohan carrying Ochaco by the hips as she wrapped her arms and legs around him like that livened an already growing fire inside Itsuka.

She quickly looked away and gulped her feelings down as Gohan slid to a stop in front of her.

"Kendo!" Gohan called. "Are you alright?"

"G-G-Gohan!" Kendo shivered but offered a smile full of clattering teeth as she rubbed her hands up and down her frozen jacket. "Oh, you know. Just ch-chillin'! D-Did you make it!"

"We sure did!" Gohan said with a warm smile. "Thank you so much for the assist back there! You were amazing! If it wasn't for you, we would've been toast for sure! I'm just sorry I wasn't able to be much help in return… Kendo?"

"Heh. Knew you w-would!" Kendo said. "I'm s-so proud of you, Gohan! Now it's your j-job to represent us all, w-without me."

"No, not without you," an approaching voice said. Ojiro walked up to the pair, holding his hands crossed over his chest. "I've been thinking about it and… and I've decided not to compete in the next round."

"Ojiro, but why?" Gohan asked, eyes furrowing. "Your master is here, watching."

"That's precisely why I'm doing this, Gohan," Ojiro said. "I don't know how Shinso did it, but he brainwashed me, somehow. I didn't earn my way into the next round, so it just wouldn't be right if I took that away from someone who actually put up a fight. There's no honor in that."

Ojiro looked at Kendo.

"Your Vice Rep agrees with me, and so he's stepping down, too."

"Vice Rep Shoda?" Kendo asked.

"Yeah. Please don't try to talk us out of it. We've already talked to Miss Midnight and she agreed with our decision. We decided that you and Tetsutetsu deserve the fight in the Final Tournament."

"Kendo!" Tetsutetsu said, eyes wide. "Did you hear that?!"

"Yeah, it sounds like we're not done yet!" Itsuka said with a cheerful smile.

"Seriously you guys!" Tetsutetsu screeched. "THANK YOUUUUUU!"

"Well, for now, you should all get checked out at one of the mobile clinics for frost burns," Gohan said, peeling off his gym jacket to reveal a sleeveless purple Namekian gi and a pair of chiseled, slim but muscular arms. Kendo blushed, allowing herself a gratuitous glance at Gohan's body for a second before returning her gaze to his eyes.

Gohan wrapped his warm jacket around Itsuka's shoulders and her green eyes sparkled.

"Alright, go get healed up so you can eat. See you at the Finals, then!"

"You bet!" Itsuka said, her face now as bright as her hair color. "It'll be you and me at the top!"

Gohan watched as the class rep left to get checked up at one of the clinics when a shadow fell over him.

"Gohan, that was incredible to watch! Good show!" Fu said. The taller student wrapped his arms around Gohan from behind and lifting him up in the air, squeezing him tightly.

Ochaco's eye twitched and her fingers opened up with a jealous cringe, but she forced herself to smile.

"Whoa! Okay, Fu, okay!" Gohan wheezed, laughing and patted the taller boy's arms until Fu set him down. Gohan turned, smiling at him. "We couldn't have done it without you Fu. Your tech is amazing! I can't wait to see what you do with it in the future."

"Trust me, Gohan," Fu said, with a wide grin as he he took the mask from Gohan. "I can't wait for you to find out what I've been working on!"

"Great!" Gohan said cheerfully. "Listen…"

Gohan bit back, chewing the corner of his lip. He still had an uneasy feeling about Fu, but after getting a chance to work alongside him, maybe he was actually someone that he could trust…?

"Hmm?" Fu hummed.

"If there's anything I can do to help you in your research, just let me know," Gohan said quickly. "Oh and thank you, again."

"D'aww no prob!" Fu said with a blush. "Now get outta here and go buy cute-cheeks something good to eat."

Gohan's lips pursed and his eye twitched, but he did his best to hide it.

"Deku!" Melissa cried out, worriedly, running towards Izuku.

"Oh, hey Mel- UGH!" Izuku moaned as Melissa tackled him and threw her arms over him.

"I'm so sorry I shot at you guys," she cried, "If I'd had known that I was going to be the Knight-"

"Heyyy, it's okay, Melissa," Izuku said, patting the crying blonde. "We were all in it to win."

"Yeah, no hard feelings," Ochaco said, giving her a peace sign and Gohan grinned at her and nodded.

"But if you really wanna make it up to us, how about you buy us some lunch?" Fu suggested.

"Buy your own lunch, cheapskate!" Melissa teased Fu playfully.

"Ohhh, my back!" Fu moaned, leaning over dramatically. "It hurts so much because Melissa Shield shot at us, her only friends."

"Ugh, alright! Alright, you win!" Melissa laughed, rolling her eyes.

"Woo-hoo!" Ochaco cheered. "Ooh! Some tonkatsu pork sounds good! Oh, and some mochi, please!"

"Ramen, for me!" Gohan said, rubbing his stomach. "I'm starving!"

"Ohhh, you're always starving!" Melissa teased, swinging her arm around Gohan's neck and bringing him, Izuku and Ochaco into a tight hug. "I love you guys so much! Congrats on making it to the next round. Lunch is on me! But first… let's hit the showers! You guys stink!"

"Before we move on to the afternoon festivities, let's take an hour lunch!" Mic announced.

"Yeah, just point me to the nearest buffet, 'cause I'm starvin'!" Hercule added. "Have a treat, then visit the shops to buy my new action figure! When we get back, the Junior League of the World Martial Arts Tournament will take place, so don't miss it!"

"Hey Aizawa, come on, let's get our beef on!" Mic said, signing off from his commentator duties.

"I'm taking a nap!" Aizawa said dryly.

Down by waiting room where the sixteen children who had made it onto the Junior League were waiting, Miss Fuyumi Todoroki and her assistant, Miss Ikoma, were preparing the contestants, children who were wearing an assortment of brightly colored costumes.

"Wow, weren't those two events fun and exciting to watch, kids?" Fuyumi asked with a cheery smile. "It's your turn after lunch, so let's make sure you get plenty to eat for the tournament."

"Miss Fuyumiiii," one of the children called.

"Yes, Taka?" Fuyumi replied.

"Trunks and Goten are gone."

"They're WHAT?!" Fuyumi screamed.

All of the girls entered the shower rooms and quickly freshened up.

Videl was sitting in the locker room area just outside the showers with a towel wrapped around her body and was in the process of drying her hair when she suddenly felt a cold chill. Her eyes narrowed and she activated her Quirk. Behind her, Itsuka Kendo was making her way towards Ochaco, who was already getting dressed. Ochaco smiled sweetly at the Class Rep and greeted her, but Kendo did not return the smile.

"Hey V, hurry up and get dressed so we can get some grub!" Mina said, pulling on the shorter girl's arm. "I'm starving!"

But Videl held her hand up, eyes glued on Kendo, who had leaned in to say something in Ochaco's ear. Ochaco's big smile melted instantly, replaced with a worried thin line. Ochaco looked away and blinked several times before nodding and getting up to walk away with the Class B Rep.

"What's up?" Mina leaned in and whispered secretively, staring at the two girls as they walked out of the room together.

"I don't know, but I don't like it," Videl said. "Come on, let's follow them. And be ready to jump in if something happens."

"Right," Mina nodded and turned her head to the other two girls nearby. "Toru, Kyoka! Follow us, we're gonna go jump somebody!"

"We are?" Kyoka raised her eyebrow.

Videl rolled her eyes.

"Just follow us," she said with a large bead of sweat.

Itsuka lead Ochaco down the bowels of the stadium to emerge down a tunnel that lead to the parking lot. An eerie quiet muffled the sounds of the fireworks and the music of the festival blaring in the background. Just before they emerged out of the tunnel, Itsuka stopped and slumped back against the wall with an annoyed huff, crossing her arms and supporting her weight with her shoulder blades and one foot kicked back against the wall, eyes closed, without even uttering a single word.

The taller girl's silence unnerved Ochaco, who took her place against the opposite wall, facing Itsuka nervously. The redhead waited until Ochaco was in front of her and when she finally opened her eyes, Ochaco saw a glaring resentment in them. The pretty, cheerful facade of Class 1B's Big Sis was gone, replaced by a fiery, almost disgusted glare.

"Is… is everything alright?" Ochaco asked. "Did I do something to make you angry?"

No response.

Itsuka's heavy breathing was almost audible and her eyebrows narrowed down even further, as if Ochaco's very presence offended her.

"Umm, okay…" Ochaco whimpered, bring her hands up to her elbows in a self hug for comfort. "So… I heard that Ojiro and Shoda gave up their spots for you and Tetsutetsu… Congrats! It sounds like we'll be facing off in the next round. I'm looking forward… to…"

Itsuka's unwavering gaze stared right through her, bouncing from one of Ochaco's fearful eyes to the other with increasing speed. Ochaco shrunk back against the cold wall behind her, feeling for some odd reason, smaller than ever. She clutched at her wrists nervously, until finally Kendo tore her gaze away and breathed out a heavy sigh.

"Ochaco Uraraka…" Itsuka finally said, her voice full of venom. "What exactly is your relationship with Gohan Son?"

"His name is Son Gohan, okay?" Ochaco corrected, her eyebrows narrowing and her trembling hands balling into fists. "His family uses traditional naming customs. Respect it."

Itsuka's eyebrows twitched.

"Well?" she hissed. Ochaco shook her head, ignoring the rising heat in her neck. She was only one stage away from finishing the Sports Fest, and her opponent was right in front of her. She couldn't let Itsuka provoke her into losing her focus, or even worse, starting a fight that would get her disqualified.

She took a calming sigh and looked up firmly at the Class Rep's green eyes.

"Gohan and I…" Ochaco started, but bit back and diverted her eyes away from Itsuka. "We are… He's my… b… Mmmhh, my… best friend."

"Your best friend?" Itsuka repeated, her gaze digging into Ochaco. "That's it? Nothing else?"

"Maybe there is," Ochaco shot back, filling the sting of irritation rising. "But what's it to you, anyway?"

Itsuka's mouth flattened into a thin line and the taller girl shifted her weight onto her other foot, analyzing the shorter brown-haired girl in front of her.

"Gohan's an amazing guy," Itsuka finally said.

"He is," Ochaco said softly.

"And I don't know if you've noticed, but you're holding him back." Itsuka accused.

"I am not holding him back!" Ochaco argued.

"Fifteenth place in the obstacle race, and fourth place in the cavalry battle?" Itsuka spat, indignantly. "You're a drag on him, Uraraka. He should be number one, and he isn't because of you! Whatever little thing you two have got going on is keeping him from reaching his full potential. How can you not see that?"

Kendo's emerald eyes blazed with a raging glower that melted away at Ochaco's defenses. Ochaco balled her hands into fists and held her ground, biting the inside of her lower lip to keep her mouth from trembling.

"What do you think matters most to him? Getting first place in some competition, or keeping others safe?" Ochaco asked, defiantly. "Because if you think he cares more about fame and recognition, you don't really know him at all."

"Oh, and you do?" Itsuka scoffed. "You think that because you giggle at him and smile and flirt around and sneak little kisses at him, that you know who he really is. But you really don't. You don't know him like I do. If you weren't following him around like some lost puppy, he'd be at the very top right now, as he should be."

"So what, then?" Ochaco said, finally running out of patience. "You thought you'd bring me aside to get me to quit, is that it?"

"No, sweetie. I brought you down here to deliver a message loud and clear and in person – I'm going to win the next round," Kendo said, straightening to her full height, a good half foot taller than Ochaco. "I'm going to advance all the way to the finals. You'll see – it'll be me and Gohan, as it should be. If you're not going to help him reach his full potential, then I will. And if that means I have to take him from you, then that's what it means."

"What did you just say?" Ochaco gasped, her eyes narrowing.

Itsuka stopped and turned to give Ochaco one last glare. Her lips raised into a competitive smile and she swiped her thumb across her nose.

"Sorry about this, sometimes my competitive side gets the better of me, or maybe I'm just as interested in your best friend as you are. In any case, I've decided that I'm going to win Gohan over, and steal him right from under you…" she said. Her eyes narrowed slightly. "And I'm going to put you in your place. Ochaco Uraraka – consider thismydeclaration of war."

Itsuka's hurtful words cut through Ochaco, and her large eyes watered. She wasn't used to being treated so harshly by anyone, especially someone she looked up to like a Class Rep, and the sinking feeling in her chest only worsened. She gulped down a sob and closed her eyes, unable to respond. But then she remembered…

It had happened four or five months ago, when Gohan had taken her and a handful of their friends for a weekend to the mountain village of the Dragon Clan, where a tournament was being held. One of the Namekians had been interested in Ochaco and, thinking that she was Gohan's girlfriend at the time, he had challenged him to a fight for a chance to date her.

Without even hesitating, Gohan accepted the challenge.

"It's because Ochaco means more to him than anybody knows," she had overheard Dende tell Melissa.

Gohan had won the tournament and her heart that day.

He had fought for her, and won.

And now, it was her turn to fight for him.

Ochaco slowly lifted her head in defiance.

"...bring it," she growled, her voice lowering into a threatening purr. Kendo froze in her tracks, and she turned around, unaccustomed to being talked back to. Ochaco's eyes opened with a newfound fire in them. She glared back fiercely at the taller redhead.

"So you're going to put me in my place, huh?" Ochaco scoffed. "I don't know what gave you the impression that you need to try and humiliate me to get close to Gohan. But you want to declare war? Well, back at you! You better bring everything you've got, Kendo, because I am not gonna loseto you."

Kendo and Ochaco stared daggers at each other for a long moment, but Ochaco refused to be intimidated by the bigger girl's glare. After a moment that lasted an eternity, Kendo finally tore her gaze away and began to walk out into the parking lot to head back towards the cafeteria.

"We'll see," she simply said over her shoulder.

Ochaco watched Itsuka's back until the taller girl melted into the growing pool of students clamoring to get into the cafeteria before she finally let out a breath she had been holding.

So this was it – her new rival. Ochaco's stomach trembled with adrenaline because of the heated exchange and she took several long breaths to calm her racing heart.

"GIRL, THAT WAS AMAZING!" A voice shouted from out of thin air so suddenly that Ochaco jumped up in terror.

"WAAAAAAH!" She shouted in alarm, her hairs sticking up at their ends.

"Hey, hey! Calm down, it's just me!" Toru Hagakure calmed her with a soothing voice, cupping Ochaco's pink cheeks with her invisible hands.

"T-T-Toru?" Ochaco stammered, eyes wide. "Why are you here? AND WHY THE HECK ARE YOU NAKED?!"

"Sorry!" Toru apologized, taking a step back and holding Ochaco's hands in hers. "Mina and Videl saw Little Miss Ponytail pulling you away. We instantly knew she was up to no good, so we decided to follow you guys in stealth mode in case you needed some backup!"

Toru gave off a series of punches that created small, visible puffs of wind. Mina, Kyoka and Videl walked out from around the corner towards her.

"Yeah, we're sorry we spied on you like that," Mina apologized. "But we've seen the way that girl keeps staring at your man. We just wanted to make sure everything was cool."

"My man…pfft," Ochaco laughed, shaking her head, though the words did make her heart flutter and she couldn't help but smile. "Yeah, sure. Everything's fine. She thinks I'm Gohan's girlfriend and that I'm holding him back."

"Well, aren't you?" Toru asked, pausing from her punching. "Gohan's girlfriend, I mean."

"Wha- NO!" Ochaco squealed, turning red. "I really like him, but we're still just really good friends, that's all!"

"Hmm," Mina brushed her chin with her fingers and glanced over at Jiro. "Kyo?"

"Oh yeah, she's totally lying," Kyoka confirmed, retracting one of her earphone jacks.

"TRAITOR!" Ochaco shouted in disbelief, covering her eyes with her hands and wiggling uncomfortably.

"C'mon, Ochaco! Don't be shy about it! Everyone can see that you and Gohan have a cute little thing going on now," Mina teased. "Unless you mean to tell me you two just tripped and accidentally landed on each others' lips that one night."

"WHAT?!" Toru squealed. "REALLY?!"

"Ochaco!" Jiro gasped, blushing.

"Heh," Videl smirked. "Attagirl."

Ochaco's face reddened up even more.
"Ahh!" she cried. "You don't understand! Yeah we kissed, but it wasn't a real kiss, it was, like, um-"

"Awww! So it's true?" Toru asked excitedly. "Oh my gosh! Was that your first kiss, Ochaco? I'm so happy for you! How was it? Did you make the first move or did he? What do his lips taste like? Were they soft or firm? Warm or cool? Sweet or steamy? Oh come on, spill! I'm dying to hear all of the juicy details!"

Toru was now violently shaking Ochaco's shoulders, making her head bob back and forth.

"Please stop that," Ochaco begged in a high-pitched voice.

"None of that matters if the dork didn't kiss you back," Videl said, crossing her arms and looking at Ochaco questioningly. "Time to confess, Pink Cheeks! Did he or did he not?"

"Uhm… y-yeah…" Ochaco squeaked, finally regaining some form of self control. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and smiled, flustered by the growing heat in the back of her neck. "Gohan kissed me back."

She smiled at Kyoka.

"You were right, Kyo," she said, holding her hands to her chest. "I can feel it – it's a different type of heartbeat after all."

"Told'ya so!" Jiro said confidently, crossing her arms.

"Nice," Videl said with a satisfied nod.

"Ugh! It's true love!" Toru said, clasping her hands dreamily.

"You see? You've got nothing to worry about!" Mina said, pulling Ochaco into a hug and rubbing the top of her head like a loving big sister.

"Gohan's a good guy, and he's a lot like Red," Videl said, putting her fists on her hips. "He can be an airheadead idiot sometimes, but at least he's a loyal airheaded idiot. If that Class B princess thinks she can steal him away with one fight, she's got another thing coming."

"Or several!" Toru said viciously, resuming her flurry of punches.

"C'mon," Mina said, taking Ochaco's hand. "Enough of that. Let's get you something good to eat so you can kick that man-handed bitch's ass in the next round!"

Ochaco glanced up at her classmates' beaming, proud faces and felt a wave of emotion wash over her from their support.

"Thanks, you guys!" She said happily. "You're the best!"

Ending Song:

"Error -child-" by My First Story

The moment that Gohan used the Kamehameha Wave, Chi-Chi knew that was her son. The way the energy pulsed around him, making his hair stand up in spiky ends the way Goku's always did… that warm and familiar light that emanated from his ki signature, that confident smirk…

Chi-Chi's lips trembled and her hands clenched around the bar.

As the cameras zoomed in to Gohan talking with Izuku, his smiling happy face was broadcast and now, up close, all doubt was cast aside.

Chi-Chi couldn't peel her eyes away from the television screen. There, before her, was a miracle.

Her son was alive.

"Hmm?" Bulma hummed. "Chi-Chi? Are you alright?"

"Bulma!" Chi-Chi said through sobs. "That's my Gohan!"

Bulma sighed heavily.

"Chi-Chi, we've been through this before-"

"I can feel his ki signature now. I know it's him! Who else could pull off a Kamehameha that young besides Goku?" Chi-Chi insisted, tears flowing down her cheeks.

Bulma looked up at the video footage again and slowly, her eyes began to recognize the boy's handsome features and the way they resembled the little tailed boy she had known decades ago.

Bulma gasped and covered her mouth with her hands.

"It's… him!"

"Bulma!" Chi-Chi repeated through sobs. "Bulma, that's my boy! That's my son, Gohan!"

Chapter Forty-OneThe Sports Fest IV: Battle on,Pint-Sized Heroes!

Don't miss it! Go beyond – PLUUUUS ULTRAAAA!

A/N: Okayyyy! That's a wrap for this chapter! Before we get into the Review responses, I wanted to address the issue of Chi-Chi not recognizing Gohan as soon as she saw him.

In hindsight, I could've done a better job of concealing Gohan's identity until the reunion. I did have some ideas for keeping him hidden, from constantly distracting Chi-Chi to hiding Gohan underneath the gear that Fu gave him, but that still wouldn't keep the announcers from calling out his name, since that is part of the point of the Sports Festival – to get agencies' eyes on the students who have the most potential.

So I just bit the bullet and went with it. After all, Bulma – arguably the smartest person in the world, didn't recognize Pilaf and his gang, even though the blue imp, his ninja dog and Mai not only kept their real names, but kept their original costumes on, too!

But yeah, I probably should have found a way around it. But on the positive side, now that Chi-Chi knows that that's her son, we have a tearful reunion coming up, which you will enjoy in the next chapter, so stay tuned!

Onto the Review Responses!

ArguableReader chapter 39 . Feb 7

WOW...Shortest time since the previous chapter, felt like, not even a week ago.

~anyway~

Well about Fu, that was a good idea, considering Fu and his origin,
His quirk being what it's described as, actually makes some sense,
with the whole, dark-energy, and empowering particular technology and stuff.

The love rivalry of Kendo & Ochaco, will soon begin, and I'm sure hoping,
that the Hilarity between them will be just as amusing.

Now about the rivalry-ship, between Melissa and Mei-Hatsumei,
From what I can understand of it, two conflicting idea's if put together,
can potentially bring about something even more grandiose.

Basically if Melissa & Mei clash enough, at no uncertain point,
could their rivalry lead, to a new discovery.

I forget the name & category, but it was an Hero Academia story,
that had a story arc in which, the insert protagonist and some,
of Class-A, with Melissa replacing, one of the other student's...
had all ended up in the Marvels universe, (no earth number given)

But while they were stuck, thanks alot Mei,
Melissa became an understudy of Tony Stark, he even gave her the blueprint for, Mark-1 Arc reactor.

IN LAYMENS Terms, Mei Melissa COULD eventually, in no uncertain terms,
lead to the creation of the Arc Reactor technology, (if you allow it)

But yeah point is hero academia crossed over with Marvel temporarily,
and Melissa achieved are own, self-built, Arc-Reactor, after Class-A returned home.

So Melissa if at all possible, with her techy-rivalry with Mei,
could end up with their own technology, to compete with Capsule-Corp,
at least as sideline competition.

Do what you will, but that'd be amusing to witness more often.

Hi Arguable Reader, thanks so much for your review!

Oh yes! I totally get what you're saying about Melissa and Mei. Without going into spoilers, there's something that Melissa, Mei, Fu and Dende are going to create and it's going to be as revolutionary as the Arc Reactor Tech from Marvel.

One thing to think about, too, is that Melissa technically has her hand in both, Capsule Corporation thanks to her mother, but also Shield Industries, because of her father. The tech at her fingertips would be immense, to say the least.

I'm glad you liked this version of Fu, too. We're going to see a lot more of him. He's a complicated character. Just when you think you've got him figured out, he throws you in for a surprise, and that's what I love about him.

And for Ochaco's rivalry with Kendo, it's a little tense right now, but it does become a lot more humorous down the line. I love messing with Ochaco's jealousy and Kendo's competitiveness. It's so much fun! Lmao

Thanks so much for your review and analysis as always!

Elchico 64 chapter 39 . Feb 7

Here we GOOOOO! Man, the gang (Gohan, Uraraka, Melissa and Izuku) were so brutal, its fascinating how Izuku its getting better at One For All, that Quirk has something in the shadows hhmmmmm...

The team effort of Gohan and Uraraka it was amazing! Too bad that she got burn. How Bakugou interfere in middle of the Minefield trying to fight Gohan. Oh boy, bad place and moment. Bakugo just wants to shine.

Oh and Kendo... that poor lil' girl... da boi has been stolen. Must be her. It was kinda sad, still wants to fight for him, I can see that. This kind of shonen never lies.

I like how Gohan doesn't like anything the presence of Fu, he doesn't want near Uraraka ahahah! Love it! How Melissa "betrayed" his cavalry team, damn, thats low and ver funny. Not to mention ChiChi and the Top G reference (m-muh, bugatti...).

I guess my only complaint was how ChiChi didn't recognize his son. I mean, I cant deny that had been years since he last saw him, also it was too soon and she didn't have time to see him. But Mic, Hercule and Aizawa are continually mentioning his name, like how can she bot see it xd? But I know the emotional moment you will put on would make me cry.

I really like this chapter, the second season is so goooood, man! Keep it up! And thank you so much for promoting my fics, it means a lot coming from a wholesome friend, not only as a writer.

I hope to read the next update soon! Stay safe!

Hi, Chico! Good to hear from you again, my friend!

Yep, you sense correctly. There's something hidden deep within… what could it be? Or rather, whom? Hehehe…

Bakugo keeps wanting for Gohan to use the Dragon Fist, but poor old boy has no idea what he's asking for. Like you said, he just wants to prove he's the best, by beating Gohan at his best. And in his eyes, Gohan's not really giving his all in the Sports Fest, since he is more worried about protecting his friends.

So Bakugo will force him to fight him with everything he's got. It's one of the chapters I am most looking forward to, but it's still just a few chapters down the road, so stick around! :D

Oh, and poor Top G! His Bugatti and his three lambos did nothing for him this time! Haha XD

Oh yeah! And even though Kendo's rivalry with Ochaco is a little sour right now, it's gonna get a lot more humorous as the girls fight for his attention in the extra games just before the Final Tournament.

I'm so glad you're enjoying this second season, bro! There's so much coming, including the stuff we discussed in PM. And so much more! And of course, I can't wait for the next chapter of both of your stories! Yes, I have not given up hope for Survivors! If anything, I should go back and re-read the chapters from the start again.

Thank you so much for your review, as always! And take care!

Guest chapter 1 . Feb 8

.
..

Thanks! I'm not sure if those were emoji's or something, and the site just deleted them. But you're my 300th reviewer, so thank you! Hehe

I hope you like the story so far:)

X3runner chapter 39 . Feb 8

Is somone using a quirk on everyone including bulma since she just mentioned son gohans whole man's and also referred to goku as son kid the fact that gohan looks a lot like goku and has his last name should really be activating her brain almonds. Also inko is just precious I could see her at the end of the tournament telling izuku to bring his new brother home just deciding to in all but legal documents adopt gohan. also since ochako is starting to have the jelly belly feelings bubbling deep inside when people show a large amount of intrest in gohan it would be really funny at least in my schadenfreude comedy of errors type sense of humor is she gets a little defensive at the almost Spiderman to Tony stark type intrest (MCU specifically) interest fuu seems to have with gohan. Like fuu could almost he like izuku is to allmight but with gohan but Ochako just can't see it.

Yeahhh that was my bad. I should've thought of a more creative way of getting around that, but on the bright side, Chi-Chi now recognizes him. So the long awaited reunion will now happen in the next chapter! OH! And if you're wondering why Goten hasn't recognized Gohan either, it's because he's not watching the games.

He's off causing Mayhem with Trunks, as you'll see in the next chapter! LMAO

You know, in an early draft, I had toyed around with the idea of having Gohan bunk in with Izuku, but decided against it, since Gohan is living a double life as Namek's Guardian Dragon, so he really needs to stay at the Lookout with Dende.

Just wait until Izuku finds out who his young disciple, Goten, is related to! Hehe

Yeah, that would be hilarious, with Ochaco getting jealous over Fu's over-affectionate obsession with Gohan, and I think Melissa (who is totally crushing on Fu) would also suffer jealous rage because of it! Lmaooo Well, we'll get more time for funny moments like that in the interval between this and the next arc. There's some important stuff that need to take place before the students separate and go off on their three month long internships.

So a lot of exciting stuff coming after the Sports Festival, and I can't wait for you guys to read it!

Thanks again for your reviews, X3! I really appreciate it!

Luna Bellanova chapter 9 . Feb 9

Gohan's bond with the Flying Nimbus is so cute and I like that you found a way to include it in this universe. I also enjoyed the aspects of Namekian culture that you introduced. World Building is t easy but you're making it work.

Somehow I knew Videl was going to make it in! Should be interesting to watch her interact with Gohan and Ochako. I smell a rivalry cooking up!

And that ending was so touching! Gohan's first flight! It was so epic! I am so excited to see Gohan unleashing his full potential and showing what he's learned under Piccolo's training.

Good chapter!

BTW I finished writing a one shot featuring Gohan and Ochako. I know your story features them as a couple so I was hoping you could read it and let me know what you think? Since I can see your a huge fan of the ship.

Hola Luna!

I guess I'll just start answering your reviews here as well, even if you don't see them for the next ten years! LMAO

Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter and the little twist to the Flying Nimbus. There's no "magic" in this universe, so I had to think of a way to create the Nimbus using somebody's Quirk. And you're right. World Building isn't easy, but it's been a lot of fun establishing the lore.

In the Internship arc, we're going to explore this universe's Saiyan Lore and it's going to tie in with my spinoff fic "Legend of the Dragon."

Oh yes, and I checked out your one shot and it was sooo good! I hope you continue writing because you've got tons of potential! Thanks for your review!

KaijuEmperor chapter 39 . Feb 10

Finally all caught up with your story and I gotta say, while in most ways totally different (plus the drama) the characters and plot of DBZ are all the same spirit and their interactions with the MHA cast is great good work.

Also WHY! Why do you torture us with the long waited reunion with Mother and Son plus brothers we all want them to reunite and make amends! Also even if Gohan looks much different as a Chad compared to his wimp ass past self, what other Saiyan halfbreed child has Son in their name Chi-Chi? That fact should've clued you in instantly!

Hi there and welcome, Kai!

Thank you so much for giving my fic a chance! The spirit of DBZ is definitely something I've tried to capture, along with the heroic theme of MHA and I'm so glad that you enjoyed it!

LOL Sorry! The reunion has been almost two years in the making! So it is definitely time for it now, and when you read it in the next chapter, hopefully it would have made the wait worth it!

And that's another good point that I didn't take into account – the fact that Gohan's name and naming custom is so unique, it should've been a dead giveaway! And if Gohan's appearance changed, just wait until he finds out that his mom isn't the feeble little widow she used to be, but a kickass martial artist!

Thank you so much for your review, KaijuEmperor! I really appreciate it!

JustinCase chapter 39 . Feb 11

A Cell made up of hundreds of Cell Juniors, all in swarming hive? Nothing short of nightmare fuel! Damn. Poor Melissa, to be called the Quirkless defect, although if you think about it, Quirkless make up less than a quarter of the present population, so in a way, Swarm Cell is right, she kind of is a defect, or at least an anomaly.

Andrew Tate reference was hilarious! Fuckin hate that guy. But I love the new badass Chi-Chi much better than the crying wimp she was at the start of the fic. And one thing I definitely love is how she basically adopted Uraraka. Their relationship is so pure. Ochako's gonna fit right into the family.

Your portrayal of Fu is great and his Quirk makes me think of Bishop from X-Men. Really cool! I hope we get to see some exciting fights in the next challenge and in the tournament and I know you'll do a great job at delivering a fun chapter.

But let me go ahead and join the club of 100% of your reviewers and just say... I love you man, but come on! that excuse for Chi-Chi not being able to recognize her son is weaker than Yamcha fr.

Maybe if Gohan was SS (blonde and green eyes) or if he was wearing some sort of mask, I might let it slide, but he's out in the open, and not only that, his name is getting called out every like ten seconds, you'd think Chi-Chi out of everyone would pick up on it.

Other than that, amazing job as always homie! Keep it up and hurry on that next chapter please! We need to see that reunion ASAP!

It's coming, bro! It's coming!:D:D

Yeahhh! I got the inspiration from a beehive documentary. It's a precursor for things to come ;)

And I agree, both Goten and Chi-Chi love Ochaco, as she saved their lives, and plus, Chi-Chi is close friends with Miruko, Ochaco's mom. So unfortunately for Kendo, Ochaco is wayyy ahead of her when it comes to Mom's approval rating!

And don't worry, you'll be seeing a lot more of Fu in the coming chapters!

Reunion is coming next chapter, so I hope you stick around!

Thank you so much for your review!

Brandon Dupere chapter 39 . Feb 12

Luna Bellanova chapter 10 . Feb 16

Thoughts:

Dad-Might is so fckn cute! Videl's Quirk is really not something I was expecting but with it being AU, I get that you can bend the characters a bit. I'm not sure how I feel about her powers yet, but I love the dynamic between her and Bakugo. Tough little Queen!

I'm a huge fan of the juxtaposition between the tiny, "Quirkless" Gohan and the super powered one in the present. Moments like those are what's kept me glued to this fic. Well, that and also the sweet moments like the one here with Gohan and Ochako.

It must be nice to be a Saiyan. All you have to do is teach a girl to fly and they fall for you! The way Gohan and Melissa cheered Izuku on was pretty heartwarming as well. More of this please!

Hehe yesss Videl and Bakugo are much more alike than they'd like to admit. So much fun watching those two clash! XD

In hindsight, I probably could've presented those flashbacks in chronological order so that they wouldn't continue being "flashbacks" but I liked the way that MHA did it with kid Kacchan and Deku, so I decided to keep it that way.

Yeah, it's really too bad about his face, huh? Poor Gohan. Blessed be his Saiyan genes XD But I think what drew Ochaco towards him more than anything was his kind and warm heart and his drive and focus. There's no denying that the mild mannered Gohan is hubby material, alright!

And his relationship with Melissa is really pure, too. Those two become close like siblings later on, as you'll see.

Thanks for your two reviews! I really enjoyed reading them.

yeosherman3 chapter 39 . Feb 21

Hmmmmm... Interesting festival so far, but I wonder how the heroes will handle the future? One way to find out. :3

Hi Yeosherman! Thank you! I'm so happy that you're enjoying the Sports Fest. There's still so much left in this arc, so I hope I can deliver some fun and entertaining chapters. As for the future, YESSS How will the heroes react? And allow me to tease… how would the VILLAINS react as well?! Muahahaha

Thanks for your review! I really, really appreciate it!

Okay, that's it for the review responses! Thank you so much for the 10 reviews in the last chapter, and once again THANK YOU SOOO SO MUCH for helping us pass the 300 review mark. You have no idea how much this means to me! Next chapter coming soon. See you then!
