A/N: After a month-long hiatus, I finally found time to finish this chapter up. It's the exciting conclusion of the Sports Fest. Sparks will fly, so get ready! Again, please don't be intimidated by the massive word count. The actual story content is "only" 12k words and the rest is Review Responses.

With that said, let's get going! Review Responses at the end, as usual.

Opening Song:
"Vandalize" by One OK Rock

In the nightmare, Izuku found himself standing in the middle of a desolate and haunting landscape. What appeared to have once been a majestic and grand palace was now reduced to a heap of burning ruins. The flames danced with a ravenous fury, casting an eerie glow that painted the blackened surroundings in shades of orange and red. The darkened skies overhead seemed to weep with sorrow, mirroring the devastation below, but the rains did little to quell the inferno. The air was thick with smoke and the acrid smell of burning wood, creating a suffocating atmosphere.

Izuku held the inside of his elbow up to his face as he coughed. He gazed around and saw the remnants of grand pillars and majestic archways that now lay crumbled and broken. The castle's walls were scorched, their stone surfaces charred and blackened.

Izuku walked forward, though not on his own feet nor by his own will it seemed, and as he pierced through the veil of fog and deep shadow of this nightmarish scene, Izuku saw a figure standing in the center of the devastation. A muscular woman's silhouette was outlined by the flickering flames. Her long, jet-black hair fell disheveled and burnt over her tattered white cape, and a large red stain marked her bodysuit under the broken armor, but she stood resolute, appearing serene and composed, her presence juxtaposed against the turmoil surrounding her.

Izuku immediately recognized her. It was Gine, All Might's former master and adoptive mother. The Hero known as Moonlight Might.

Hovering menacingly above her was a shadowy figure, a wraith, a monster, a personification of malevolence and darkness. Izuku couldn't see its face clearly, but he felt an overwhelming sense of dread emanating from it. The figure seemed to embody the very essence of evil, floating in the air like a dead man hanging from a noose.

"Gine!" Izuku heard himself shout out. She heard him and turned around. Her weary and pained eyes shined at him and she smiled, blood pouring down both corners of her lips. She lifted a finger and pointed it at him.

"Run. You have to run – you have to survive," she said, her voice pained but still strong and resolute. "Because it's up to you now. You're my living legacy. Remember the dream, the reason we clench our fist! I'm counting on you. So do your best. Become the Symbol you were always meant to be… Toshinori."

Toshinori?! Izuku gasped and turned, realizing that Gine was not pointing at him, but past him, at an eighteen year old All Might. His face was young and his blue eyes blazed with tears as he reached out towards his beloved master and mother.

This… this is the past! This is how she… died! Izuku realized, feeling a wave of shock and sadness wash over him as he realized that he was witnessing a pivotal moment from All Might's past.

A pair of powerful arms wrapped around Toshinori before he could come any closer and blasted off into flight, pulling the screaming Toshi along.

"No – GINE!" Toshinori yelled as he was the other hero tore him away from his mentor and adoptive mother.

Gine gave him one final smile, and though she whispered it, Izuku heard it as clearly as if she had been standing next to him…

"Goodbye, Toshinori…"

The shadowy monster moved to strike and Gine bravely turned to face the darkness with a fire of her own, burning bright. With an earth-shattering roar, a fireball rushed out from Gine's core, distorting her figure with a blinding light before spreading out like a wall of fire that burned on and on until it had consumed everything.

"NOOO! GINE!" Izuku shouted, jolting awake in the hospital bed, his heart pounding in his chest. Tears were streaming down from his eyes, and he struggled to control his breathing, feeling the lingering emotions from the nightmare slowly subside. As the effects of the dream slowly receded, he became aware of his surroundings once again – the sterile hospital room, the dull hum of medical equipment, and the soft glow of the overhead lights. The steady beat of monitors helped to calm his racing heart as he slumped back onto his bed.

He found his arms and legs bound together, bandaged and encased in casts. He could still feel the remnants of pain and exhaustion in his body from the intense battle with Shoto, but it was nothing compared to the emotional turmoil he had just experienced in his dream.

Taking a few deep breaths, he tried to steady himself and focus on the present. As real as it felt, it still could have been just a dream.

Izuku's body ached, and every movement sent waves of pain through him. With a groan, he tried to shift into a more comfortable position, but even the smallest movement felt like agony. Recovery Girl's stern voice echoed in from outside the hall, clearly annoyed and disappointed. Izuku winced as he heard her approaching the room.

"Oh boy, I'm in for it now," Izuku mumbled, bracing himself. "Recovery Girl's gonna kill me."

The door swung open, and Recovery Girl entered with a stern expression on her face.

"Izuku Midoriya, you never learn, do you?" she scolded, her hands on her hips. "You were warned about the dangers of using your Quirk recklessly, and now look at you!"

Izuku's face flushed with guilt and embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, ma'am," he muttered, avoiding her gaze.

"Sorry won't heal your broken arms or the damage you've done to your body," she retorted. "What good is a Quirk as strong as yours if you go around breaking yourself like this?"

She approached his bedside, examining the casts on his arms.

"Hmph. You're lucky the damage wasn't worse," she continued. "The bones in your arms were completely shattered, and the ligaments on your right arm were nearly obliterated. I'm afraid it will never be the same, even after I healed it."

The door opened and Toshinori entered the room, scanning over Midoriya with his sunken blue eyes. But before he could say anything, Recovery Girl turned her frustration towards the skinny, tall teacher.

"You! All Might! Do you have any idea what kind of state this boy is in? I've healed him countless times, but he keeps pushing himself too far. You've lit a fire under this young man – and look how far he pushed himself just to please you. This has to stop!"

Toshinori hung his head, his jaw clenching with embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, Recovery Girl. I have always encouraged Young Midoriya to find a way to break past his limits, but I agree – this was a little… much."

Recovery Girl's eyes softened slightly, but her frustration remained evident.

"You're going too far, you hear? You and the boy. From now on, you both need to find a way for him to use his powers without him ending up in this condition. I won't be healing injuries like this anymore."

Toshinori nodded solemnly. "You're right. I'll take full responsibility for this and find a way to help Izuku use his powers without hurting himself."

With a tired sigh, Recovery Girl began to cut through the casts and began to heal Izuku. Afterwards, she left the room so that Izuku could rest and recover his stamina. Izuku finally gathered the courage to look down at the damage he had caused to his body by fighting so recklessly.

The once-smooth skin was now marred by a network of ugly dark red scars that stretched from his shoulder down to his crooked right hand. Izuku's fingers brushed lightly over the discolored, uneven tissue, tracing the jagged lines quietly. There was a part of him that felt a sense of shame and regret, a sense of failure for letting his enthusiasm override his better judgment.

What would have happened if he had actually destroyed his body? One for All would have been lost forever. Then the sacrifice of Gine and all the others that came before her would be in vain.

Izuku glanced up at his teacher, his lips tightened and his eyes furrowed apologetically.

"All Might," Izuku said weakly, almost a whisper. "I'm… sorry. Before the Sports Fest started, you asked me to introduce myself to the world and make an impact. I tried so hard to do that… out there, when I fought Todoroki… I was so close to making it to the final."

A lump formed in Izuku's throat, distorting his voice. Tears stung his eyes.

"If only I'd shut up and focused, I might have been able to beat Todoroki," Izuku continued. "But in his first match against Iida, he looked so… sad. I wanted to help him and I just couldn't see the bigger picture, and I got myself eliminated."

"But you did make an impact," Toshinori said with a proud smile, taking a seat beside. "You planted a seed of change within Todoroki's heart. And you helped Melissa believe in herself when you two won the Obstacle Race. Third place in the Sports Fest as a First Year is nothing to frown at!"

"But I still feel like I failed to meet your expectations," Izuku whispered, his green eyes watering. "I know how much you and… and Gine sacrificed to protect One for All. But still, no matter how much I focus, no matter how hard I train and push my body past its limits, I still can't control it fully. Gohan's the one who went the distance without even really trying, and he doesn't even have One for All. So… I've been thinking… that maybe…"

"You're thinking it might be better for Gohan to be my successor…" All Might finished for him. Izuku tensed his shoulders for a moment, and brought them down with a defeated sigh.

"Yeah…" he whispered. "He's Gine's grandson, after all. His father was the Scarlet Blur, wasn't he? Then that means Gohan's going to get even more powerful. With One for All…"

"You're right," Toshinori agreed with a nod. "As we speak, Gohan has just reached a new horizon of power, called Super Saiyan. If he were to inherit One for All, I have no doubt that it would make him an unbeatable superhero."

Izuku's lips shook and he gulped through clenched teeth.

"Then, please-"

"But you know," Toshi cut him off with a smile, "Gine thinks you're not so bad yourself, kid."

Izuku gasped and looked up at All Might.

"Thinks?" he asked.

"Yeah," All Might shrugged. "Her vestige. She's appeared to you before, hasn't she? I can tell. It probably happened during your fight with Shinso, am I right?" All Might gave Izuku a knowing grin.

Izuku's eyes widened in surprise.
"You knew about that?" he stammered.

All Might chuckled warmly.
"Of course! I've had my fair share of encounters with the vestiges of One For All, including Gine's. To most people, it probably looked like you were brainwashed, but I could tell. If the vestiges appeared, it's a sign that you're making One for All your own."

"I..." Izuku hesitated. "I had a dream just now. It felt so real. I saw Gine sacrificing herself to protect you from a powerful villain. All Might… was it true? That dream… was that a memory of her?"

"Yes. What you witnessed was most likely the memory of my own vestige within One for All. The Sixth User, Master Roshi, once mentioned that One For All holds the imprints of its past users, their wills, their feelings, their memories," All Might explained. "These vestiges are like echoes of their souls, residing within the core of One For All. And occasionally, they may reach out to those who bear the power."

"Does Gohan…?"

"No, he doesn't know," All Might cut in. "And I'd prefer it if it stayed that way. There are some burdens that even his shoulders won't be strong enough to bear…"

"I understand. Gine said..." Izuku hesitated, "she said that I was different. That I will inherit all of the Past Users' powers. She said that we're nearing the 'Singularity point'."

"That's right. The Singularity – the moment when you become the embodiment of One for All. When that happens, you will be the most powerful Hero this world's ever seen," All Might nodded. "So it was important to choose a successor with a good heart. Gine sees something special in you, just like I do. She believes in your potential as a hero, and she wants you to succeed. She knows the weight of One For All, the responsibility it carries. But she also knows that you have the heart and character to bear that burden."

Izuku's eyes shimmered with tears. His eyes sank down and glued onto his scarred arm.

"I don't care about being powerful; I never did. All I want is to be a hero just like you, All Might. I want to live up to the legacy of One For All and protect people with a smile on my face. But I'm scared that I'll never be enough."

"Believe me, I understand. It isn't an easy burden to bear," All Might reassured him. "It's normal for a hero to have doubts. But I believe in you, Izuku. And so does Gine. You might not have mastered One For All yet, but that doesn't mean you never will. It takes time and dedication. And you wanna know a secret? Even Master Gine had her struggles with it, too, but she overcame them because she believed in herself, just like she believed in me and gave me a chance, even though I was a skinny Quirkless little kid, just like you once were."

Izuku's eyes widened and he looked up at All Might with awe at the startling revelation.

"You were Quirkless, too?!" He gasped.

"Yeah, back then it wasn't as uncommon. But Gine and Roshi guided me down a good path, and helped me become the hero I am today," All Might said, giving him a thumbs up and a smile. Smoke rose from his body as his muscles inflated and bulged, transforming Toshinori into his muscle form. "And now, it's my turn to guide you and help you become the greatest hero you can be. I believe in you, Young Midoriya. So whenever you feel downhearted or uncertain, remember that I am here, cheering you on! You've got this!"

Izuku wiped away his tears, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders.

"Thank you, All Might. I won't give up. I'll keep pushing myself to be the hero you see in me."

"That's all we can ask for, young man," All Might said with a bright smile. "Now… enough waterworks! What do you say we get out there and watch the grand finale? I have a feeling we're in for a real treat!"

As Gohan pushed Ochaco's wheelchair up a ramp that lead to their classmates' seating area, he spotted Izuku waiting there with the rest of their classmates. Their concerned glances turned into relieved smiles as they saw Ochaco in the wheelchair, on her way to join them.

"Hey, everyone," Gohan greeted with a friendly nod. "Look who's back."

Melissa grinned and stepped forward. "It's so good to see you back, Ochaco."

Ochaco's smile brightened. "Thanks, Melissa. Don't worry, it looks a lot worse than it really is. I'm feeling much better now."

As Ochaco settled into the wheelchair, her classmates rallied around her with genuine concern and care.

"Uraraka, would it be alright if I created some extra cushions for your chair?" Momo asked, squatting down to be at Ochaco's eye level.

"That's really sweet of you, Yaoyorozu. But don't go out of your way just for me," Ochaco said, quickly.

"It's no trouble at all! Here," Momo smiled and began using her Creation Quirk to craft soft cushions that were carefully placed around Ochaco's wheelchair, ensuring her comfort.

"And here, Uraraka!" Kaminari chimed in with a grin, holding out a bag of potato chips. "A little snack to give you some energy."

"Thanks, Kaminari!" Ochaco said, taking the bag with a smile.

Mina joined in, holding out a soda. "And don't forget your drink!"

"Wow, you guys are really spoiling me!" Ochaco laughed, touched by their gestures.

Even Hagakure contributed, her invisible hand massaging Ochaco's shoulders gently.
"If you need anything, just let us know okay?"

Ochaco's heart swelled with warmth at the outpouring of kindness from her friends. She leaned her head back under Toru's massaging touch, her eyes closing, and let out a contented sigh. "Ahh! I really appreciate all of this, you guys."

"Yeah well, we were worried about you," Izuku said. "Are you sure you're okay in that wheelchair, Uraraka?"

Ochaco opened one eye and gave him a playful look.
"Are you kidding?! This is the best! I've never been pampered this much before. I kinda feel like a princess."

A sudden and urgent rap of footsteps resounded, coming in from the stairs. Gohan and the others turned to see Iida rush onto the seating area, his face red and flushed with worry and distress. Without hesitation, he approached Gohan, trying to catch his breath as he spoke.

"Gohan, I'm sorry to interrupt, but I just received a call... a group of villains attacked my family," Iida explained in between gasps, his voice trembling with emotion. "My mother and Tensei, are seriously hurt. Forgive me, Gohan. I know this is the Grand Finale, and I want to give you my support, but I have to go to the hospital right away."

Gohan's eyes widened with worry.
"Oh no! Iida, don't even worry about the Finals," he said reassuringly. "Family comes first. You need to be with your mother and brother. We'll hold things down here. Go be with them."

"But the Finals... I know you've fought so hard for this," he said, his voice cracking.

"Iida, you've already given me enough support," Gohan said earnestly. "Your family needs you now. We'll be okay."

Iida nodded, clenching his jaw.
"Thank you, Gohan," he said gratefully. "I'll never forget this."

"Go," Gohan said, giving him a reassuring pat on his arm. "Ojiro, Hagakure, why don't you two go with him for support? I'll be there as soon as the Sports Fest is over."

"Now hold on," Iida said, bringing his hands up. "I don't want to impose on you both. This is my family's problem."

"Yeah, exactly!" Toru said. "And that's why we're coming with you!"

"Don't worry, Iida," Ojiro said, "we're classmates and friends. We look out for each other. It's just like you said after the attack on the Marketplace – where one of us goes, the rest of us follow, united! Your family needs you, and we're here to support you. Besides, we can't just let you handle this alone."

Hagakure nodded, the movement only visible thanks to the blue and white cheerleader choker she was still wearing. "Oji's right, Iida. Besides, you'd do the same for us, right?"

Iida's eyes glistened with gratitude as he nodded in agreement.

"Very well, then. Thank you, both of you. I truly appreciate this. Let's hurry! Good luck, Gohan. And please, give Todoroki a good one for freezing me in that first match."

Iida shot Gohan a smile that cleared up the tension in his face momentarily.

"Heh. Right!" Gohan said with a smile. With that, the three friends made their way to the stairs.

At the same time, a new group approached the stands. Videl was pushing Bakugo in a wheelchair, his body still wrapped in bandages that prevented him from moving his arms and legs. Kirishima, Ashido, Kaminari and Jiro were walking behind them, followed closely by All Might, Chi-Chi and Bakugo's mother, Mitsuki.

Izuku, Ochaco and Melissa stared awkwardly as Gohan stood in front of Bakugo, their eyes meeting for the first time since their match. Bakugo's eyes blazed with a fiery hatred and Gohan stood his ground. The atmosphere in the stands grew tense as Bakugo and Gohan exchanged that intense, wordless confrontation. Clearly, there was still a lot of anger and unresolved emotions between them.

At this point, the old Bakugo would go into a taunting rant, trying to provoke Gohan and his friends. But this time was different. Bakugo's eyes silently danced between Gohan, Izuku and Ochaco, before finally averting his gaze without uttering a single word. Finally, Videl pushed Bakugo and positioned him in front of the rail to watch the final fight.

"Well that was… awkward," Mina said as she joined Momo and Melissa.

"Yeah, you can say that again…" Melissa said with a twitch of her brow.

"I'll go talk to him," Ochaco said, reaching for her wheels.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Cheeks," Videl said. "He's sulking. If you want to talk to him, it might be best to wait till he's calmed down."

"Yeah, maybe V's right," Mina chimed in, her eyes following Bakugo's brooding form. "He doesn't look like he's in the mood for a heart-to-heart chat."

Melissa nodded, her concern for Ochaco evident.
"Don't worry, Ochaco. He'll come around eventually."

Ochaco sighed, her eyebrows furrowing with worry.
"I hope so. I just hate seeing him like this."

"Why do you care so much about him?" Mina asked. "Wasn't he the one that beat ya to a pulp a couple of matches ago?"

Ochaco looked over at Bakugo in silence for several seconds.

"Well, yeah, he did," she said, finally. "But that doesn't change the fact that we're all classmates, and we've been through a lot together."

"Hmm, I think I get what Ochaco's saying," Momo added. "In a way, we've all grown closer because of these competitions. Even if we've faced off in the ring, we all share a common goal of becoming heroes.

"Our closest friends can also be our toughest opponents," Izuku muttered, rubbing his chin.

Ochaco nodded in agreement. "He's a hero, too. And like I always say, Who saves the heroes-" "

"-that need saving, right..." Mina said, finishing Ochaco's saying. "I guess you have a point..."

Ochaco smiled softly at her friends. "We're all in this together, you guys, whether we're competing against each other or not. And besides, I believe that deep, deep down, Katsuki is a good guy. He just has a... unique way of showing it."

"Yeah, 'unique' is definitely one way to describe him," Mina chuckled.

As the tension from earlier began to dissipate, Gohan turned his attention towards the group of adults, his gaze lingering on Mitsuki Bakugo, who was now engrossed in conversation with Chi-Chi and All Might. Breathing in a heavy sigh, Gohan excused himself from Ochaco and Izuku for a moment, and made his way towards them.

Noticing that Gohan was approaching, Mitsuki turned to him with a grin.
"Heya," she greeted with a wink. "Nice to see you again! If I had known you were Chi-Chi's kid, I would've kept an even closer eye on you when you visited Capsule Corp."

Gohan's cheeks flushed slightly, caught off guard by her playful demeanor.
"Um, well, it's nice to see you again too, Mrs. Bakugo. Actually, I... I wanted to talk to you. I'm really sorry for what happened to Katsuki. I didn't mean to hurt him like that. It was a competition, but I let my anger get the best of me, and I should've been more in control."

Mitsuki's grin softened into a small smile as she listened to Gohan's apology.

"You're a good kid, Gohan," she said with a shrug, her voice warm and understanding. "Listen, I know my Katsuki can be a handful sometimes. He's got a red-hot temper, and it's not always easy for others to handle. So don't worry about it. If he singled you out, that means that he recognizes your strength. In his own little way, it's kinda like he respects you and your power."

Gohan nodded, feeling a sense of relief.

"I know, but I still feel bad for hurting him like that," Gohan reiterated. "It's not how a hero should act. But I'll do my best to make it up to him, and I'll try to be more mindful of my actions in the future. I just wish I had thought of that before..."

Suddenly, Mitsuki reached out to him and pulled Gohan into a warm, motherly hug, wrapping a hand around his head. Gohan was taken aback by the sudden embrace, as his cheek pressed against Mitsuki's rather ample chest. His face turned bright red. She patted the back of Gohan's head affectionately.

"There, there, kid," she said, her voice warm and soothing. "Like I said, don't worry about it. These things happen in competitions, and besides, Katsuki is a tough one. He'll be fine."

Gohan managed to stammer a response, his cheeks still flushed.

"O-Okay. Thank you for understanding, Mrs. Bakugo."

Mitsuki chuckled, releasing Gohan from the hug and winked playfully.

"Anytime, kiddo. And just so you know, you've got a fan in me now, too. So, go out there and give it your best! The next time you come see me at Capsule Corp again, I'll make sure to have something sweet and delicious for you to eat."

"Hmph! I can cook something nice for him, too," Ochaco muttered with a jealous pout.

"After what happened with the curry? Probably not, sweetie," Melissa said with a friendly pat on her back.

Mitsuki left to head back to her seat and Gohan tore his gaze from her teasing crimson eyes and walked back to where his mother and All Might were waiting. Chi-Chi shook her head with an exasperated but lighthearted smile.

"I see you met Mitsuki. Quite the character, huh?"
"Y-Yeah…" Gohan said with a cough, clearing his throat.

"Are you okay, Gohan?" she asked.

"Ah, yes, I recognize that 'pondering the mysteries of the universe' look anywhere!" All Might boomed. "Tell us! What's on your mind, Gohan?"

Gohan hesitated for a moment, his gaze fixed on the floor.

"When I transformed into that new Super Saiyan form," Gohan began with a pensive tone, "I felt something I've never felt before: an overwhelming rage that almost consumed me. I completely lost control of myself. Vegeta said that rage is what fuels my powers..."

All Might and Chi-Chi listened attentively.

"I know that if I want to become the greatest hero I can be, I have to embrace all of my powers, but… I'm scared of that rage," Gohan admitted, his eyes flicking from Chi-Chi's to All Might's gaze. "I don't want to become a force that hurts the people around me."

"Gohan," Chi-Chi said, her voice steady and reassuring, "what you're feeling is natural. Rage can be a powerful motivator, son, but it's important to channel that emotion in a positive way. Your gentle heart and empathy will always guide you towards making the right choices."

"But how can something as destructive as rage be turned into something good?" Gohan asked.

All Might exchanged a glance with Chi-Chi before speaking up.
"Think of it like fire, Young Gohan. Fire can burn and destroy, but it can also provide warmth, cook food, and be a source of light. But it can only be useful if you keep it under control."

"That's right, sweetheart," Chi-Chi added, her tone thoughtful. "After all, anger is just another emotion, neither good nor bad. It's how you use it that matters."

Chi-Chi reached up and brushed her hand through Gohan's spiky bangs in a loving, motherly manner. "When you feel that anger, try to understand why you're feeling it. Is it because of an injustice? Is it because someone you care about is hurt? Use that anger as fuel, but not as a weapon to hurt others. Let it push you to protect, to stand up for what's right."

"Your Mom's right," All Might agreed with a nod. "Don't fear your rage, acknowledge it. Understand where it's coming from. But then, let it respond to your need to protect. Use it to push yourself beyond your limits."

"My power comes as a response to a need, not a desire…" Gohan mused thoughtfully, gazing down at his open palm.

All Might's expression softened and he placed a hand on Gohan's shoulder.

"You know, Gohan, when I was just a child, Gine used to tuck me into bed and tell me stories... Stories of the Super Saiyan – a legendary being with spiky blonde hair said to possess unimaginable power. Gine used to describe the Super Saiyan as a figure of light, with the power to rise above any challenge and bring salvation to the world. Gine would always say that the heart of a true hero burns like a bright star, guiding others through darkness. The Super Saiyan could be the embodiment of that heroism."

Gohan's eyebrows furrowed intently and he leaned in, soaking in All Might's words.

"It sounds like the Super Saiyan was more than just a powerful warrior. It was a symbol of hope and inspiration, just like Porunga, the Dragon of Namek."

All Might's smile deepened. "Hmm yes… and that's what it means to be a Hero. So yes, Vegeta may have his own path, but you don't have to follow it. You can be that Super Saiyan that will shine a light in this world!"

"I want to be like that," Gohan said earnestly. "I want to be a hero who embodies those qualities. But what should I do if I start to lose control?"

"The key is to recognize the signs early on and take steps to regain control. First, remember to breathe. In moments of heightened emotion, our breath can become shallow. Obviously, that makes any situation feel worse. Take deep, calming breaths to center yourself. And then, focus on a positive anchor."

"An anchor," Gohan repeated thoughtfully.

"Yes. It could be a memory, a thought, or a person you care about deeply. Something that can ground you and remind you of your purpose... like say... Young Uraraka."

Gohan's cheeks flushed with embarrassment, and he scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"HUH? Uhm, Yeah, well, I mean, uhh—"

"AHAHAHA!" All Might laughed knowingly, his eyes twinkling. "Yes, young love can be quite the motivating force, Gohan."

"It sure is," Chi-Chi said with a sad, nostalgic smile.

"Thank you both for the encouragement and your wisdom," Gohan said with a grateful bow. "I'll do my best to remember that."

All Might clapped his massive hand on Gohan's back. "Attaboy, Gohan. Now, go out there and show them what you're made of!"

Gohan stood tall, his determination renewed. "I will, All Might. Thank you for believing in me. And you too, Mom!"

All Might placed a hand on Gohan's shoulder, his smile full of encouragement. "Believing in you comes naturally, Gohan."

Chi-Chi hugged her son gently.

"Ohh, my Gohan. You're growing up so fast. You're so much like your father… Go on and win this thing!"

Gohan hugged his mother back, feeling grateful for her support and guidance. His brown-haired tail twitched happily behind him. With a nod, Gohan pulled back from his mom and left to make his way downstairs, turning at the end of the tunnel to look at his mother one last time.

"I'm gonna do my best, Mom!" He called out, giving her a thumbs up and that smile that reminded her so much of Goku.

Chi-Chi's heart swelled with love and pride for her son.

"Go, honey! I know you'll do great!" she called back, giving him a thumbs up.

"Good luck, Gohan!" Mina shouted.

"Do your best out there, man!" Kirishima called.

"Get out there and rock it, dude!" Jiro chimed in.

"Win this!" Izuku howled with a fist in the air.

"You've got this, Gohan!" Melissa cheered.

"We'll be rooting for you all the way!" Ochaco said with a wave.

As Chi-Chi watched Gohan disappear down the stairs, her heart was brimming with emotions. She could see the love and respect that each of his classmates had for her son, and it filled her with a deep sense of pride and reassurance.

As a mother, it was natural to worry about her child, especially in a world filled with challenges and dangers. But watching Gohan's journey as a hero, seeing the bonds he had formed and the support he received from his friends, Chi-Chi knew that he was in good hands.

No matter what challenges lay ahead, Gohan would face them with courage, strength, and the support of these fledgling heroes who cared about him.

With a proud smile on her face, Chi-Chi turned to walk back to her seat.

"Go, Gohan, my brave boy," she whispered to herself, her heart full of love and anticipation for what the future held for her son. "I'll be cheering for you, always."

CHAPTER FIFTYTHE SPORTS FESTIVAL FINALE: FATHERS AND SONS

As Gohan walked down the now brightly lit stadium tunnel that lead out into the fighting stage for the last time, he took in a deep breath to help steady his rapidly beating heart. The memories of his past battles swirled in his mind like a whirlwind of emotions.

He thought of his first fight against the Namekian Triads that were terrorizing Namek City.

He thought of the Fire Villain, who apparently was the son of Vegeta and brother of Shoto.

He thought of the terrifying attack on the Marketplace and the relentless battles against the League of Villains during the USJ Incident, including the confrontation with the mysterious fighter, Nomu.

Each of these challenges, along with the trials he had overcome throughout the Sports Fest, had shaped him into the hero he was now.

His friends and family were his compass and driving force. Goku and Bardock's teachings echoed in his head, the importance of protecting loved ones and using strength responsibly. Piccolo's guidance resonated within him, reminding him of the necessity to control his emotions.

This fight was so much more than just a competition of strength. It was a test to his character and the hero he aspired to be.

As he stepped out into the grassy field, he was immediately inundated by the bright lights that showered over the entire stadium. Night had arrived, bringing with it a cool, soothing blanket of stars and deep purple skies that blanketed the setting sun over the horizon. As soon as the floodlights angled in over Gohan, Mister Satan's heavy voice boomed over the speakers.

"Hyeh Hyeh Hyeh! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the moment you've all been waitin' for!" He announced into the microphone, pausing to allow the anticipation to build. "Thirty-two competitors entered the Tournament, and now only the best two remain. It's time for the Grand Finale of the U.A. Sports Festival! And now, let me introduce to you a true hero in the making, a young man with the heart of a lion, the strength of a dragon, and the tail of a monkey! Give it up for the Class Representative of Hero Class 1A... The one, the only, the incredible SON GOHAN!"

The cheers and applause of the audience reached a deafening crescendo as Gohan made his way to the center of the arena. The fiery pillars shot out from the pedestals at the four corners of the rectangular fighting stage, piercing high into the heavens, illuminating the night with an orange glow.

"Son Gohan, a name synonymous with power and integrity! He's faced fierce competitors, overcome dauntin' challenges, and now he stands on the precipice of glory. Will he emerge as our champion? His opponent certainly won't make it easy, will he Mic?"

Present Mic's voice boomed through the stadium's speakers as he took over.
"You said it, Mister Satan! Son Gohan's journey has been nothing short of legendary, and he's about to face the ultimate test of his abilities! His opponent is the prodigious young hero with a burning ambition to claim victory! Let's give a roaring welcome to the hero with ice in his veins and fire in his heart, the one and only Shoto Todoroki!"

The crowd's roar reached a fever pitch as Shoto stepped out of the tunnel, walking towards the stage with purpose. His dual colored eyes seemed to blaze in the night like a brewing tempest. His icy, fiery gaze was fixed on Gohan, focused and determined, but lacking the steely edge it had held throughout the day. Gohan stared at Shoto with an excited smirk. The clash between these two formidable young heroes was destined to be a battle for the ages.

"Shoto has showcased his incredible talent throughout the festival," Mic continued, "defeating formidable opponents like Tenya Iida, the Vice Representative of Class 1A, as well as the fierce competitors Izuku Midoriya and Videl Satan with relative ease! He's proven himself to be a hero with immense potential and power!"

"'Relative ease,' my foot!" Hercule grumbled. "My sweet angel Videl put up more than a fight for that emo punk. He must have cheated somehow. Oh, if I could get a few minutes with him alone on the ring, I'd show him…"

"You're not speaking into the mic, Herc," Present Mic reminded him gently.

"Huh? I didn't say nothin!" Mister Satan lied and cleared his throat.

As Shoto made his way towards the fighting stage from the opposite end of the tunnel, his thoughts swirled with a different set of emotions. The Sports Festival had forced him to confront the legacy and expectations placed upon him due to his unique Quirks and family lineage.

He had grappled with the memories and feelings tied to his powers, discovering that they didn't define him but rather provided him with tools to create his own destiny. He didn't have to be shackled by his past or his lineage; instead, he could carve his own heroic path, one that embodied the ideals and aspirations that his mother had instilled upon him.

From the roaring cheers of the crowd, Shoto's siblings' voices stood out loudly.

"Go, Shoto!" Fuyumi shouted. "Show them what you're made of!"
"We believe in you, little bro!" Natsu added.
"No giving up!" Midoriya yelled out, "You've got this!"
Yaoyorozu echoed, "You can do it, Todoroki!"

Nappa, clapping his massive hands, shouted, "It's all you, kid! Kick his tail and give 'em a taste of your fire!"
"Give it your all, Prince Shoto!" Burnin cheered.

Vegeta watched with a hint of pride in his eyes.
"It's time. Do not hold back! Show them power of the ultimate warrior race, Shoto," he commanded.

With the collective support of his friends and family echoing in his ears, Shoto took a deep breath as he stepped forward to face Gohan in the ultimate showdown of the Sports Festival.

As Gohan and Shoto stepped onto the fighting stage, their eyes met for a brief moment.
"So, you really are a Super Saiyan, after all," Shoto said. "Just like Vegeta..."

Gohan shook his head.
"No, I'm nothing like that man. And I know you aren't either."

"Tch. What do you know, Gohan?" Shoto scoffed.

"We're more alike than you think, Shoto," Gohan replied. "We've both lost someone we love, and had to find our way in this world alone. Our love for our siblings fuels our desire to create a better world for them, and the shadow of our fathers' legacies sometimes casts doubts on our own abilities. We both have incredible Saiyan powers that can harm those around us if we lose control, yet we both want to be heroes and use that power for good."

Shoto remained silent.

"I understand you, because I'm walking a similar path, Todoroki," Gohan continued earnestly. "I may be your Class Rep, but I can also be your friend."

"I saw how you pummeled Bakugo," Shoto hissed.
"And I saw how you pummeled Midoriya," Gohan countered evenly.

"Hmm…" Shoto hummed thoughtfully, looking away for a moment before glancing back up at Gohan's eyes. "I guess we do have quite a bit in common…"

"And now, the moment has arrived!" Midnight stood from her chair and raised her whip high, drawing everyone's attention. "Who will be declared the First Year Sports Festival Champion?"

Gohan met Shoto's determined gaze. "Let's give it our best. Come at me with everything you've got, Todoroki!"

"I will," Shoto nodded.

"Son Gohan versus Shoto Todoroki! Ready?" Midnight called out, her whip poised to give the signal. It came down with a crack. "Clash!"

And with that, the final battle of the First Year Sports Festival began.

Gohan's heart pounded in his chest as he leaped into action, his eyes locked onto Todoroki, who was charging towards him with incredible speed. In an explosive clash, the two young heroes met at the center of the arena, their powers colliding in a titanic punch that sent sparks flying when their fists met.

The fight took off at blazing speeds. Every move, every punch, and every kick was executed with precision and power. Gohan had the upper hand in terms of his incredible strength and speed, but Todoroki's control over fire and ice made him a formidable opponent. The stage reverberated with the clash of these two extraordinary talents.

With every moment that passed, Gohan and Todoroki pushed themselves to their limits. It was a spectacle of power and skill as orbs of ice, fire and light peppered the fighting stage.

"Kaioken Attack!" Gohan shouted. The scarlet aura exploded around his body and he transformed into a blur, pressing on with his blindingly fast assault, unleashing a rapid flurry of punches and kicks. Todoroki retreated, forming barriers of fire and ice to defend against Gohan's relentless attacks, creating barriers that shimmered with a volatile combination of scorching flames and icy chill. The sizzling heat and freezing cold battled for supremacy, forming a mesmerizing dance of elements that enveloped Todoroki.

"Frostfire IGNITE!"Shoto emerged from the combination of powers, his hair and body glowing, transformed into his Super Saiyan Frostfire form.

Gohan propelled his body and crashed through Shoto's elemental fortifications, hammering away at the ice walls as he pressed forward towards Todoroki.

Todoroki saw him coming in and began weaving pillars of fire in between the ice to withstand Gohan's onslaught. The flames licked at the cold, creating steam that billowed into the arena, obscuring the combatants in a hazy shroud of battle.

Gohan's eyes stung with irritation and he began to violently cough, inhaling the steam. With Gohan momentarily stunned, Shoto retaliated with his own onslaught. Sheets of ice followed by searing flames surged towards Gohan, crashing into the blinded Half-Saiyan and batting him away like a giant hammer.

Gohan grunted in pain as his body crashed through several pillars of ice, spiraling all the way down to the edge of the stage. He landed with a rough thud that cracked the stage. Out of breath and completely evenly matched, Gohan slammed a fist on the ground with irritation, but just as the red haze of rage began to creep into his vision, he gulped it back with a calming breath.

"Kaioken Times Three!" He shouted instead, opting for his father's Quirk. His muscles bulged with newfound mass and the red glow intensified as Shoto shot straight towards him like a meteor and Gohan blasted off to meet him in midair once again.

The pendulum of advantage swung back and forth. Gohan's raw strength and agility would grant him the upper hand for a moment, forcing Todoroki to retreat and regroup. Then, with a fierce look in his dual-colored eyes, Todoroki would retaliate with a combination of ice and fire that Gohan struggled to evade.

Each fighter took their turn dominating the battlefield, only to find themselves evenly matched once again. It was a contest of wills, as Gohan's determination to keep his enormous Saiyan powers under control battled Todoroki's resolve to embrace his Saiyan powers fully.

The clash continued, and the stadium echoed with the resounding impacts of their blows.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is it!" Mister Satan howled, his eyes glued to the intense showdown in the arena. "We're witnessin' a true battle of titans right now! Gohan and Shoto are going head to head, neither of the willing to give an inch!"

"That's right, folks!" Present Mic chimed in, his voice full of enthusiasm. "We've got raw power versus precision control in this epic clash! It's like a showdown from one of those epic superhero movies!"

Aizawa added his insight. "Both fighters are showing remarkable control over their Quirks. It's a battle of endurance now, and who can outwit the other."

"Did you see that last exchange?" Mister Satan continued, gripping his hair. "Gohan's speed is off the charts, but Todoroki's Quirk combo is nothin' to scoff at either! This is what the Grand Final is all about! The crowd is going wild!"

Gohan shot a ki blast at Shoto's torso and followed through with a mighty right hook. Gohan's fist struck true, connecting with Todoroki's jaw with a resounding impact. Shoto was sent flying backward, his body almost careening out of bounds. In a desperate act, Shoto summoned his icy quirk, creating a massive wall of ice that halted his momentum just in the nick of time.

As Gohan pressed his advantage, Shoto reacted quickly. He slammed his fist onto the ground, sending a narrow shockwave of frigid energy radiating outward. The icy wave raced toward Gohan with a hiss, engulfing him in a rapidly forming prison of ice.

Gohan realized too late that the only reason he had been able to connect the punch was because he had been baited to. Shoto's layer of ice snaked up Gohan's leg onto his back and expanded, coiling around Gohan's tail and constricting it.

"AAAHHH!" Gohan growled as excruciating pain suddenly surged through him, radiating from his tail to his spine, leaving him momentarily paralyzed with the sheer intensity of it.

Izuku, Melissa and Ochaco gasped as they watched Gohan's body land on the ground like a sack of rocks, his face contorted with pain, struggling to breathe.

Gohan rolled over onto his elbows and struggled to crawl away, but his legs remained completely unresponsive. As the ice continued to constrict his tail even tighter, Gohan couldn't help but howl from the pain. Through the haze, he could see Shoto approaching, his Frostfire auras of red and blue swirling and mingling in a mesmerizing mist around him.

Desperation surged within Gohan as he looked up to the heavens, where the clouds were slowly parting, revealing the radiant half-crescent moon. Shoto halted his advance, his gaze drawn to what Gohan was looking at.

"Ah, I see," Shoto remarked coolly. "I figured you were holding something back. Your last resort is the Oozaru Form, isn't it?"

Gohan's lips quivered, but the pain was too intense for him to utter a word.

"I'm sorry, Gohan. There's no full moon tonight," Shoto sighed. "That means no Blutz waves, and your Oozaru transformation won't work. It's over."

The announcement rang out over the arena's loudspeakers, as Midnight's voice filled the air, "Is it true, Gohan? Are you immobilized? I'll start the countdown. If you're not up on your feet in ten seconds, you will be eliminated."

Gohan lay trapped and in pain, the countdown ticking away, his hopes fading like the moon behind the clouds.

Suddenly, Bardock's voice echoed in his mind. "Agh! You idiot! What did I say about guarding your tail?!"

"I… tried! C…can't… move!" Gohan cried out in pain.

"Are you seriously giving up already, Gohan?" Goku's voice sounded in his head. "Come on, Son. You can do this! You already have the power you need, just draw upon it!"

"You are a Super Saiyan!" Bardock's voice yelled. "So get up and bare your fangs against destiny, boy!"

With these encouraging words ringing in his ears, Gohan summoned the last reserves of his strength and began to push against the icy prison that held him captive.

The countdown reached 7. Gohan was three seconds away from elimination, trapped in excruciating pain. But in that critical moment, a tiny yet powerful voice broke through the haze of agony.

"Come on, Gohan! You can do it!" Goten's youthful voice rang out like a beacon of hope. He was sitting on his mom's shoulders, tiny hands cupped over his mouth.

Gohan's eyes locked onto Chi-Chi's gaze, and in that instant, he understood what he had to do.

He couldn't lose like this. He needed to get back on his feet. He needed to show Goten that heroes never gave up. He needed to kindle the flame of hope in Goten's heart, to inspire him to believe that they could be heroes, too.

With his mother's eyes locked on his, he felt a powerful force stir within. A radiant golden light erupted from his core, enveloping him.

The night was bathed in the luminous glow of Gohan's power, and Todoroki stood frozen in astonishment, his own attack forgotten. Despite the strangle of ice around his tail, Gohan was rising, and in his green eyes burned the spirit of a Super Saiyan, unyielding and resolute.

The stadium erupted in a thunderous cacophony of cheers and applause as Gohan defied the odds and rose to his feet. Present Mic's voice reverberated through the arena in pure disbelief.

"I don't believe this!" he shouted, his words drowned out by the deafening roar of the crowd. "Gohan is getting up!"

With a burst of sheer power, Gohan shattered the remnants of the icy prison that had ensnared him, sending shards of ice scattering in all directions. Panting heavily, he stood tall, his eyes locked onto Todoroki.

Shoto stared at Gohan, bewildered.

"How are you still standing?" He asked. "I got your tail!"

Gohan, his breathing ragged, wiped away a small trickle of blood from his lip and smiled at Shoto, his eyes gleaming with a new fire.

"You did," Gohan replied, his voice firm. "I told you I was gonna give it everything I've got. I'm not done yet!"

Todoroki, still trying to comprehend what had just happened, couldn't find words to respond. He watched as Gohan's aura blazed with renewed intensity, ready to continue the battle. Shoto intensified his own power, Super Saiyan Frostfire, and the trio of lights illuminated the entire fighting stage.

Todoroki charged at him, and Gohan met him head-on, his fists colliding with a thunderous shockwave against Gohan's face. But this time, Gohan's face hardly moved an inch back. His fierce expression remained unchanged, as if he didn't even feel Shoto's punch.

Shoto, on the other hand, winced in pain, feeling a fire explode across his knuckles. He gritted his teeth, refusing to back down. With a fierce battle cry, he unleashed a torrent of freezing ice from his left hand and spun around to launch a scorching blast of fire from his right. The dual elemental attack surged toward Gohan, who didn't even make an attempt to step back.

Gohan, undeterred, raised his arms to shield himself from the icy and fiery onslaught. The sheer force of Shoto's attack caused an explosion of steam and smoke, obscuring the fighters from view. As the smoke cleared, it revealed Gohan standing tall, his clothes torn, yet he was still walking forward, seemingly unaffected by Shoto's powerful attack.

Shoto was breathing heavily, his Super Saiyan Frostfire form putting a tremendous strain on his body.

"Dammit, it didn't even phase him!" He growled under his ragged breaths.

Without saying a word, Gohan pounced forward and Shoto gritted his teeth and leaped to meet him.

The two warriors clashed, and for a moment, it seemed like the fighting stage itself was being torn apart. Their power levels were soaring, pushing each other to new limits. Gohan, now in complete control of his Super Saiyan form, fought with unmatched ferocity, and slowly he began to gain the upper hand, pushing Shoto back again and again.

"Kamehameha!"

"Flashfire Fist!"

Gohan and Shoto leaped back and unleashed a torrential ki blast from their hands – blue and pure from Gohan's hands and fiery/icy from Shoto's. The two beams met at the center of the stage and struggled to push the other aside. At that moment, they both heard the encouraging cries from their loved ones:

"Go, Gohan! No giving up!" Goten shouted.

"SHOTOOOO! What are you doing? Finish it!" Vegeta shouted angrily.

"Don't listen to him, Todoroki! It's your Quirk, not his!" Izuku screeched. "You don't have to become the man your father is!"

"You are your father's son!" Chi-Chi yelled at Gohan. "Carry on his legacy and win this!"

"Your past does not define you, Todoroki!" Yaoyorozu screamed. "Break free from your father's expectations and forge your own path!"

"Your dad is smiling down on you, Gohan!" Ochaco added. "Make him proud of his son!"

The shouts of encouragement fueled the fire in Gohan's heart.

"HAAAAA!" Gohan pressed the Kamehameha wave. It intensified and tore through Todoroki's Flashfire Fist, smothering him along with it and blasting him away. Shoto landed on the ground in a smoking heap, and struggled to rise back up again.

It was evident that Gohan's newfound power had elevated him to a level far beyond anything Shoto could currently reach. His Super Saiyan form was an insurmountable wall, and Shoto's Frostfire abilities paled in comparison.

Shoto picked himself up shakily, his breaths ragged. I… can't lose. Gotta… keep… fighting! For Mom, for Yumi and Natsu… for Toya and Yaoyorozu, and yes even for you, Midoriya… Shoto grunted. He pushed himself to rush to Gohan. But the fight had taken its toll. His steps were sluggish and slow. Gohan easily reached out and punched Todoroki's stomach.

The impact of Gohan's punch was so immense that it sent Shoto flying toward the edge of the arena. He reacted quickly, creating a wall of ice to stop his momentum. However, the force was so intense that his body shattered the first wall, forcing him to create a second one just in time to prevent himself from going out of bounds.

The crowd erupted in cheers and applause at the incredible display of power and strategy from both fighters. With a frustrated growl, Shoto tried again and again to strike at Gohan, but it became increasingly clear that Gohan's newfound power was on another level. Shoto's attacks, once formidable, now seemed feeble in comparison. Gohan effortlessly brushed aside each strike, his golden aura pulsating with energy.

As Shoto's attacks continued to be futile, Vegeta couldn't contain himself any longer. He leaned forward, his voice dripping with mockery.

"SHOTO!" Vegeta sneered. "Is this the best you've got? You're a disgrace to your lineage if you can't even hold your own against this Low Class Saiyan!"

"Shut. Up." Shoto growled, leaping towards Gohan only to be knocked away again.

"You're weak," Vegeta pressed. "Just like your mother. All my efforts to turn you into a formidable warrior have been in vain, muddled by your mother's sentimentality and coddling."

"SHUT UP!" Shoto shouted.

Vegeta's taunts struck a nerve in Shoto. The fiery anger in his eyes flared, and he charged at Gohan with new rage. But even as Shoto attacked with all his might, Gohan continued to repel him effortlessly, his power radiating like a blazing sun.

Shoto landed on the ground and slid to a stop. On weak arms and knees, he struggled to stand on his knees.

"Look at Gohan. For a Low Class, he is a far better warrior than you will ever become," Vegeta continued. "He is everything you fail to be."

"That's enough, Vegeta!" Bulma shouted. Vegeta ignored her.

"And if only you'd embraced your full power earlier, your mother might still be here to coddle you in her arms!"

"SHUUUUT UPPPPP!" Shoto cried, placing his forehead on the ground.

Gohan walked over to him, staring at Shoto's trembling form crumpled on the destroyed floor. He knew there was nothing he could say at the moment to ease Shoto's pain. Not right now. The best thing he could do for him was to end the match right now. He would find a moment to console him later.

"I'm so sorry, Todoroki," Gohan said, raising his hand. A golden ki orb formed in his hand and grew, bathing Shoto in its golden light.

Shoto's head snapped up, a twisted mask of rage.

"SHUUUUUT UPPPPPPP!" Shoto shouted, bringing his right hand up. A razor sharp stalactite of ice shot out of his hand.

The sharp icicle pierced Gohan's hand, causing him to cry out in pain. Blood dripped from the wound, staining the arena floor.

Gohan's golden aura flared as he struggled to maintain his composure. Shoto's eyes blazed with rage and sorrow for a moment before whitening out as he let out an animalistic roar. A new aura of power surged out of Todoroki, white hot.

"Wh-What's happening?" Ochaco screamed as Izuku grabbed her wheelchair securely.

The sudden surge of power from Shoto sent powerful gusts of wind and light throughout the arena. The air itself seemed to sizzle with intensity as the ground trembled beneath the overwhelming force.

In the stands, the spectators clung to their seats, their faces etched with awe and fear. Even seasoned Pro heroes were taken aback by this raw display of power.

Gohan clung to his bloodied hand and watched as Shoto slowly lifted off the ground into flight. The dual colored aura of his Frostfire form was swallowed up by a brilliant gold light. His hair lifted into spikes and Shoto let out another ear shattering roar.

This newest transformation of Shoto was nothing short of astonishing. As he ascended into the air, his body became engulfed in that blinding golden light. His hair, once split between red and white, now stood on end in a radiant dark red blaze.

The entire arena was bathed in the intense, golden glow emanating from Shoto. Gohan, despite his injury, couldn't tear his eyes away.

Shoto leaned back and a volley of ki blasts shot out from his body with uncontrolled rage. Gohan's eyes widened as the glowing orbs shot out like missiles straight at the spectators. Panic swept through the audience as the energy orbs raced dangerously close to innocent bystanders.

Gohan, despite his own injury, sprang into action.

"Yaoyorozu, SHIELD!" Gohan shouted, jumping into the air.

"Right!" Momo shouted, creating a large metallic shield to cover their classmates as Gohan intercepted the ki blasts with his fists.

All around the stadium, the Pro Heroes sprang into action, displaying their incredible abilities to shield the innocent.

Cementoss raised massive walls of solid cement that intercepted the ki blasts in mid-air, shattering into harmless shards and dissipating the blasts before they could reach the audience.

Ectoplasm's numerous clones multiplied and stretched out, forming a complex web of ectoplasmic barriers that deflected the energy blasts away from the panicked crowd. He maintained his focus, ensuring that not a single blast made it through his defenses.

Android 18 moved with blinding speed, creating a fuchsia-pink energy barrier that surrounded the audience behind her, her sky-blue eyes locked onto the incoming projectiles. The blasts struck her energy barrier but failed to breach it, dissipating harmlessly on contact.

Beside her, Number Thirteen manipulated her Black Hole quirk to create a miniature gravitational well that pulled in and absorbed the ki blasts, effectively neutralizing their threat. Her calm demeanor reassured those under her protection.

Even Tien and Yamcha leaped into the air, intercepting the ki blasts with swift and precise energy attacks of their own. Their teamwork was impeccable as they shielded sections of the audience from harm.

The combined efforts of these Pro Heroes formed an impenetrable shield around the audience, ensuring their safety amidst the chaos of the battle. The spectators, initially gripped by fear, began to feel a sense of security as they witnessed the selfless bravery of these heroes.

Gohan surged towards Todoroki, who was still unleashing volleys of ki blasts uncontrollably.

"Calm down, Todoroki!" Gohan pleaded. "You have to calm down!"

The arena was filled with the explosive sounds of ki blasts colliding with Gohan's fists, their shockwaves rippling outwards and shaking the very ground beneath. Gohan's body quivered with effort as he deflected each blast away from the spectators, his face etched with determination.

Todoroki, caught in the throes of his newfound power and seething anger, seemed beyond reason. He turned to face Vegeta in the stands and flew straight towards him. Vegeta simply crossed his arms and stared back at the monster he had created, undeterred and unintimidated.

Gohan intercepted Shoto and curled his arms into a headlock.
"Todoroki, listen to me! This isn't you! You're stronger than this rage! Remember why you want to be a hero!"

But his words seemed to be lost in the maelstrom of Shoto's fury.

" Focus on me, Shoto!" Gohan said. "Your fight is with me. Don't harm anyone else. Fighting Vegeta is pointless right now!"

"Fight him?" Shoto's voice was twisted and monstrous. "No! I wanna kill him!"

Gohan's heart sank as he saw the unbridled rage in Shoto's whitened pupil-less eyes. He had to stop this before anyone got seriously hurt. With all his strength, Gohan swung Shoto around to face away from the spectators.

"Snap out of it, Shoto!" Gohan shouted. "I know you're hurting right now. But you're not a killer! You're a hero, just like me! Please! Remember why you're here!"

But Shoto's struggles continued, his power still raging out of control. Gohan had to find a way to bring him back to his senses before it was too late. But before he could think of something, Todoroki grabbed Gohan's arm and swung him over his shoulder, slamming him into the ground and jumping on top of him with a flurry of punches.

"Aizawa, you gotta stop this!" Mic pleaded.

"Trying!" Aizawa said with a strained grunt. "I can't see a thing. He's too fast and that blinding light is masking his body!"

"Herc?" Mic squealed.

"Uhh, right. I got this! Leave it to me!" Hercule said, standing up bravely. With a twitch of his eyebrow he picked up the mic. "Hyeh! Hyeh! How about those fireworks, ladies and gents? Don't panic, this is all part of the show! Just sit back and enjoy it!"

To everyone's surprise, the audience actually listened to Hercule and even began to applaud the hair-raising encounter.

As Gohan and Todoroki continued their fierce exchange, the blinding golden light surrounding them made it impossible to discern their movements clearly. The audience was in an uproar, torn between amazement and fear as the battle raged on.

Shoto smashed Gohan onto the ground and unleashed a salvo of ki blasts that buried Gohan into the stage, leaving him reeling. Then Shoto blasted off into the skies, turning in midair to bring his hand forward, his index and middle finger extended at Gohan. A sudden explosion rocked Gohan's body, propelling him into the air and landing hard on the stage, rolling away.

"Dirty Fireworks…" Vegeta said with a growing grin, recognizing the attack.

Shoto lifted his right hand and a roiling blue orb or fire and ice formed in it.

"Big Bang Attack…" Vegeta said with a demented smile. "Yes, that's it, Shoto. Unleash it all!"

The blue fiery orb shot out towards Gohan and struck him again, burying him deep into a crater on the stage.

"Gohan!" Bardock shouted in his mind. "Now would be the time for that ultimate move I taught you!" "Yeah," Gohan chuckled in pain, brushing the blood from his lip. "I think you're right."

Gohan, buried beneath the rubble and battered by Shoto's devastating assault, mustered every ounce of strength he had left. He knew this was the moment Bardock had trained him for, the moment when he would need to tap into his ultimate power.

With a defiant grin, Gohan focused his energy. The golden aura surrounding him intensified, and his power surged to its peak. The entire stadium seemed to tremble under the weight of his newfound strength.

Shoto, high above in the sky, prepared for a final, cataclysmic attack. Eight monstrous limbs of ice and fire erupted from his back and surged down towards Gohan.

"HELL SPIDER! YESSSS SHOTOOOOO!" Vegeta cried out with pride, his own Super Saiyan aura brightening.

But Gohan wasn't about to give in. With an explosive burst of energy, he broke free from the rubble, and launched himself into the sky to meet Shoto's attack head-on.

As he flew up towards Todoroki, a ball of pure white energy formed in his bloodied right fist. Gohan protected the orb as he flipped into a sommersault, landing on the icy tendrils from Shoto's Hellspider attack and began to run up them.

"That's it, Shoto. Focus on me!" Gohan shouted, executing a flawless front flip, and with a burst of power, he ran up the ice walls just as he had once defied gravity by running up the tentacles of the kraken that had attacked Namek City. "C'mon, Takoyaki butt! Show me what you've got!"

Shoto unleashed beams and columns of fire in Gohan's direction, but Gohan flipped, ducked and somersaulted over the fiery beams, continuing his run towards him.

"Take this!" Gohan flipped again, unleashing the power ball. It zoomed up, passing Shoto and missing by an inch.

"Wha-? He missed!" Hercule panicked.

"You were right about one thing, Shoto! The Oozaru was my last resort. But I don't need the Full Moon. This is an ultimate attack that my grandpa invented," Gohan said with pride. Shoto's monstrous face gazed up at it. "I was waiting for the best moment to use it. And that moment is — NOW! BURST OPEN AND MIX!"

"What?! Impossible!" Vegeta shouted turning to the two Saiyans beside him. "Nappa, Burnin! Shield your eyes!"

Nappa and Burnin obeyed, reaching up to snap their Scouter's lenses to block out the massive influx of Blutz waves emanating from the power ball. Gohan pushed off from the ice and flew towards Todoroki, his tail unfurling, twitching with sparks of transformation.

Shoto saw him coming and unleashed a torrent of fire that bathed over Gohan.

"GOHAN!" Ochaco and Chi-Chi cried in unison. For a moment, the shadow of Gohan's body disappeared amid the blazing flames. And then, from the heart of the fiery inferno, an even greater terror emerged. The ground shook, and an earth-shattering roar pierced the air. Rising from the flames, a colossal figure broke free, its massive jaws agape in a deafening howl.

It was the Great Saiyan Ape, a form of raw, untamed power, and Gohan had harnessed it at the perfect moment. The beast soared through the fire with blinding speed, closing the gap between it and Todoroki in an instant.

From its gaping maw, a colossal sphere of golden ki erupted, streaking through the inferno and colliding with Shoto's fiery attack.

The resulting explosion was a blinding display of power, a clash of elements that painted the sky with brilliant hues of gold and fire. The shockwave rippled through the arena, sending mighty gusts of wind through the ground and knocking spectators off their feet.

As the smoke and flames cleared, the Great Saiyan Ape descended with astonishing speed. Its massive fists struck at Shoto, who could do nothing to defend himself from the monster. With each earth-shattering blow, the enraged beast relentlessly pummeled Shoto.

Shoto's flames flickered, and his stamina waned as the relentless barrage continued. The weight of his father's expectations, the memory of his mother's suffering, and the fury of his powers had driven him to this breaking point.

But before he lost himself completely to the Oozaru's rage, Gohan's colossal form began to quiver. His wild, monstrous eyes, filled with rage and primal instinct, suddenly softened. He took a deep, steadying breath, a moment of clarity cutting through the chaos.

In his mind, he found the anchor that had guided him back from the precipice of transformation once before—Ochaco. Her love and support had always been a beacon in the darkest of storms. With her in his thoughts, Gohan let go of the seething anger that had fueled his transformation into the Great Saiyan Ape.

The beastly form, once a symbol of unbridled power and fury, now began to change as Gohan reeled in his emotions. The towering ape slowly shrank, its monstrous features receding. In its place, Gohan stood tall, his Super Saiyan aura blazing around him.

His eyes, still gleaming crimson with the remnants of his Oozaru transformation, met Shoto's. There was no longer a feral rage in them, only determination and a victorious glint of accomplishment. Gohan had tamed the beast within, guided by the power of his love for Ochaco and the lessons from All Might and his mother.

With newfound resolve, Gohan descended to the ground, his boots hitting the stadium floor with a resounding thud. The audience watched in awe as he faced Shoto once more, this time as a Super Saiyan, his golden hair and emerald eyes shimmering with power.

Above him, Todoroki floated in midair, stunned from the attack. It was now or never. Time to finish this! Gohan raised his right fist in the air, summoning all the energy left in his ki reserves and leaping into the air. "Super Dragon Fist!" Gohan shouted.

Gohan's voice echoed through the stadium as he soared into the sky, his Super Saiyan aura blazing brilliantly. His raised fist crackled with an immense surge of energy, gathering what power he had left from deep within his core.

Todoroki, still reeling from the previous onslaught, could only gaze up in disbelief as Gohan ascended upon him, a golden comet streaking through the night sky.

The moment had arrived. With unparalleled might and a heart ablaze, Gohan transformed into a giant golden dragon that flew up and swallowed Todoroki whole, engulfing him in flames. The stadium was bathed in a blinding, golden light. The colossal serpent, formed from Gohan's incredible power, coiled its serpentine body several times around its target, ensuring there was no escape for Shoto. Shoto screamed as the light engulfed him completely.

"Amazing!" Izuku whispered in awe.
"He's got the soul of a dragon in his fist," Ochaco breathed.

As the fires finally dissipated, the dragon let out a mighty roar and disappeared. At it's head was Gohan, floating down towards the ground with Todoroki in his arms. Todoroki had lost his super Saiyan form and was back in his base form, his dual colored hair singed and messy.

"G-Gohan?" Todoroki groaned weakly. "What… what happened just now?"

Gohan gently lowered Todoroki to the ground, his own golden aura fading away as he returned to his base form. The glow from his skin, eyes and hair dissolved, leaving him with dark hair and eyes once again. He looked at Todoroki with relief and exhaustion.

"It's over, Todoroki," Gohan said, offering him a hand to help him up. "You lost control, but I managed to bring you back. You were consumed by anger and power, and I had to use the Oozaru and the Super Dragon Fist to stop you."

"Kind of… overdid it a little, don't you think, Gohan?" Shoto chuckled in pain, closing his eyes.

"Yeah, maybe a little," Gohan chuckled back. "But it was the only way to stop you. You were so strong, Shoto! You wiped the floor with me for a moment there!"

"I... I lost control," Todoroki admitted, his voice filled with regret. "I let my anger get the best of me until I couldn't control it anymore… I saw you but I couldn't stop myself. My rage— it was like it possessed me or something and I couldn't control myself-"

"It's okay. You're safe now, Shoto." Gohan said calming him down. "I've got you. We're classmates, after all, and maybe someday we can even be friends. Aside from my little brother, you're the only other Half-Saiyan I know. We can learn from one another. Even if we weren't walking the same path before, we are both on the same one now: to become heroes together. So... what do you say? Friends?"

Gohan's reassuring words helped calm Todoroki's racing heart. He wiped away a tear with the back of his hand, feeling a strange mix of emotions - relief, gratitude, and embarrassment.

"I think… I would like that," Shoto said, as he took a seat on the stretcher that the Android juniors had brought to carry him to Recovery Girl. "Also, why are you naked?"

"I'm… wait what?!" Gohan gasped, realizing that he was completely nude, his clothes having been torn away when he transformed into the Great Ape

Gohan covered himself with his hands and turned to Nail in the stands.

"Little help here?" He asked. Nail laughed, reveling in Gohan's embarrassment for a few more seconds before reaching out his hand and instantly creating him a fresh purple gi to cover himself.

Nail chuckled heartily as he conjured the fresh gi for Gohan. "There you go, you perverted punk. Crisis averted."

Gohan breathed a sigh of relief and quickly put on the new gi. "Thanks, Nail. You're a lifesaver."

Nail waved it off with a smile. "Yeah, yeah."

"Don't look!" Mina said, covering Ochaco's eyes while allowing herself to get a good look.

"Mina," Ochaco said sweetly. "You wouldn't happen to be ogling my boyfriend, would you?"

"Me?! N-No!" Mina quickly stammered. "Just checking to make sure he's good."

"…is he?"

"Hoo mama, yes he is," Mina howled. "You're a lucky girl, Ochaco. Good thing Toru isn't here or she's have a heart attack!"

"Hey! That's… not what I meant…" Ochaco muttered, her face turning red.

Mina grinned mischievously. "Oh, I know what you meant. But seriously, Gohan is quite the catch. I'm just stating the facts here."

Ochaco couldn't help but laugh. "You're impossible, Mina."

Up in the balcony, Vegeta allowed himself a victorious, proud smile. "

"Hey, you knew this was how it was going to turn out, didn't you boss?" Burnin asked.

"Really?" Nappa asked. "All those things he said to his son was just to get him to trigger that Super Saiyan form?! You're a bad one, Vegeta."

"Hmph. Now he's got a taste of his true potential. It's the only way he would've abandoned his childish restraints and embraced his true power."

"So you didn't mean any of that stuff about his mother or about Shoto being a failure."

"My son, a failure? HA! Don't make me laugh!" Vegeta said turning to leave. "My boy will be the greatest warrior this world's ever seen. It was the only way for him to get a taste of his true potential, nothing more."

"So you didn't mean those things you said about his mother…" Burnin said.

"Of course not. Unlike you, Burnin, I actually chose my partner wisely. I'm not the one who got hitched to an idiot" With that, Vegeta left.

"Aw c'mon, Vegeta!" Nappa whined, wounded by the comment.

"Ignore him, Nappa. I, for one, think you're great!" Burning said with a teasing smile. "Come on, let's get something to eat. All this fighting's made me hungry."

"Thanks, Burnin," Nappa said with a chuckle.

As Shoto was carried off to Recovery Girl, it was clear who had won the match.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I give you your Champion — Son Gohan!" Midnight declared.

The stadium erupted into cheers as Midnight announced Gohan as the champion. Gohan, wearing his newly created purple gi, waved to the crowd with a grateful smile. The applause and cheers of his classmates and friends, as well as the enthusiastic roars of the audience, filled the air.

Gohan couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. He knew that this victory wasn't just about him; he had only made it this far thanks to the support of his loved ones and the lessons he had learned throughout his journey. With a heart full of appreciation, he raised his right fist in acknowledgment of the crowd, his smile reflecting the pride he felt for his achievements.

The First Year Sports Festival had come to a thrilling and emotional conclusion. Gohan's victory had united the entire stadium in celebration. Present Mic's enthusiastic cheers, Hercule Satan's animated reactions, and the roaring applause of the audience created a jubilant atmosphere that seemed to shake the very foundations of the stadium.

Aizawa's nod and rare smile spoke volumes about his pride in his student, and the cheers from Gohan's classmates and friends added to the overwhelming sense of accomplishment. The support from Goten and Chi-Chi, as well as familiar faces like Valese, Rappa, and Itsuka, filled Gohan's heart with warmth and gratitude.

But it was Ochaco, with her teary eyes and sweet smile, who held a special place in Gohan's heart. Their connection transcended the cheers and applause, and in that moment, Gohan felt like the luckiest person in the world.

With a triumphant shout and a raised fist, Gohan celebrated his victory, basking in the love and support that surrounded him. Everything did indeed feel right in the world, and the future looked brighter than ever for the young hero named Son Gohan.

Closing Song
"Child-error-" by My First Story

**Here's the Preview!**

Gohan's Sports Festival win has catapulted him into celebrity life. Suddenly, he is no longer Gohan, the Class Rep of 1A – he's Gohan, the heroic household name! Gohan is suddenly overwhelmed by an endless sea of children seeking autographs, the hounding press seeking interviews, squealing fangirls vying for attention, and his face on merchandise. To make matters worse, unwelcome rivals from another school crash the party, igniting old grudges.

Next Time! Chapter 51 – Zero to Hero!

Watch the ensuing hilarity as Gohan does his best to navigate the treacherous waters of celebrity while staying true to himself.

Don't miss it!

A/N: And with that, we've reached the end of the Sports Fest… finally! T.T What was supposed to be six chapters turned into 14! But I regret nothing. I am happy with how it turned out. I always wanted Gohan to win, but of course, it was only after a hard-fought battle with Todoroki, who experienced the "False Super Saiyan" rage and power, but could not withstand against Gohan, who had the "Burst Open and Mix" power ball technique that Bardock created, not to mention the legendary Dragonfist.

I loved that while Gohan was trying his best to follow in Goku's footsteps, Shoto was doing his best to carve a path away from Endeavor/Vegeta's. Gohan is trying so hard to be the kind and noble hero that Goku was, while Shoto was trying so hard to be nothing like his own father. Something about that dynamic reeled me in when I was outlining this arc about a year ago. A poetic tale of two Sons and their Fathers. I hope you guys liked it!

Now that we're finished with the Sports Festival Arc, we'll have a chapter of respite or two and then dive headfirst into the next arc, the Internships/Endeavor Redemption Arc. Which agencies might our heroes choose to intern with? ;) Stay tuned!

Onto the Review Responses:

X3runner chapter 49 . Jul 29

Shoto must be loosing it at the fact his dad is proud at gohan he would essentially be a stand in for everything he hates about the angry prince. Good chapter

Absolutely! It was something that pushed him over the edge in this chapter. We'll get a chance to explore the dynamics of their complicated relationship in the next arc.

Thanks for your review, X3!

KaijuEmperor chapter 48 . Jul 29

I suppose the outcome was to be expected since this Shoto has Saiyan genes in him so he's much more powerful (well at least Izuku gets the 3rd place spot and bring home a medal, unfortunately he'll have to share it with that bitch Bakugou), but damn I didn't think he would unlock his own unique Super Saiyan transformation so soon at least Gohan will actually have a challenge in the finals.
But more importantly Shoto is now free from the shackles of his Vegedeavor phase and begins to walk a path to become the better man he's wants to be.

Oh yes! Shoto's power is off the charts, and he's still got so much more potential. But Midoriya won't be a slouch forever, especially since one of the previous Users of OFA was a Saiyan (Gine). Izuku, Shoto and Gohan will form the trinity of power in this fic.

Ha! Yeah, Bakugo gets to share more bronze, and this time he won't be able to escape since he's in a wheelchair! XD

As for the Frostfire form, it'll be explored more in depth in the next arc. The backstory is tragic, just like Todoroki's life has been, but there's a reason why he was able to channel into it with ease, although of course it paled in comparison to the real deal, which is what Gohan had.

But yes, now he is free to forge his own path, but he won't have to walk it alone.

KaijuEmperor chapter 49 . Jul 29

YEEESSSSSSSS, YEEEEESSSSSSSSSS the ass whooping, the pain, the torment, the karma on that little bitch Bakugou it was delicious that the little shit got what he deserved.

But came the bitter after taste of a hollow victory, poor Gohan was consumed by righteous fury that he almost crossed the line and now has to live with that memory, but at least Ochako and the Dragon Clan were there to comfort him and raise his spirit back up hopefully the rest of Class 1-A, Itsuka, Chi-Chi and All Might aren't far behind and will give him their support.

And now there is only one round left Gohan vs Shoto two sons of the 2 mightiest Saiyans in history(3 when including Broly) and unlike in canon Shoto would actually put up a better fight thanks to the Saiyan blood coursing through his veins, but in the end I just know Gohan will win and it will be a well earned victory!

Yeah I had a lot of fun kicking his ass! We all knew Gohan was gonna merc him, even in base form. But it's a sorely needed wakeup call, that Bakugo needs to shut up and start grinding or he'll be quickly left behind in the dust.

Don't worry, we'll have some more Wholesome moments with the Kendo's. I just felt like one more scene of encouragement would be overdoing it, as Gohan already was comforted by Ochaco, the Namekians, his classmates, Mitsuki, Chi-Chi and All Might. But rest assured, Itsuka is proud of him for winning. She's the one who always believed Gohan could be the Champ from the very start! And yep you called it! I hope you enjoyed the last fight! I had a lot of fun writing it. Thanks so much for your review, as always!

Campertf chapter 49 . Jul 30

Godly chapters

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed them! And again, sorry for making you all wait so long for an update!

Campertf chapter 48 . Jul 30

Make a valese and goten chapter make it cutesy

Absolutely! And don't forget Mai and Trunks, who will also be there when they go to the Carnival. It'll be a cute little side chapter in the next arc!

ArguableReader chapter 49 . Jul 30

Well considering how the fandom goes about it, Team Deku & Bakugou.

BASICALLY, the rest of Class-1A could be divided between the two RIVAL'S for lack of better wording.

As far as I'm able to understand it, Team Bakugou is, Kirishima, Kyoka, Denki, and one other.

While team Deku is, Ilda, Ochaco, Froppy, and Surprisingly Mineta...

The fandom are, shipping teammate's for the two rival's basically...weird but whatever.

Yeah the Bakugo Squad is Kirishima, Mina, Denki and Sero. Occassionally Kyoka as well, and when Bakugo is not around, Ochaco takes over and makes them all do silly dances and stuff. It's super cute and kinda ironic.

And gotta love the Deku squad or as I prefer to call them, the IzuCrew.

Brandon Dupere chapter 48 . Jul 30

JustinCase chapter 48 . Jul 31

Mooooore! Mooore need more Saiyan Lore! I hope we get an explanation on how Shoto was able to reach Super Saiyan F., presumably under the training with Vegeta. I can't believe his mom wanted to give him away! No doubt that added to the trauma, even though it was to save him from the terrible life Shoto lived.

Poor Izuku destroyed his body fighting Shoto. The untrained kameheha totally destroyed his body! But it's worth it. Now Shoto is on the right path. Hopefully he makes amends with Gohan and joins him to walk in the path of the dragon. It would be so poetic.

Ok time to go read Gohan destroy Bakugo!

Oh yes! In the Endeavor Arc we're going to dive into the lore of this fic's take on Saiyans, who they were and what happened to them. Lots of lore incoming. Of course, we will begin to explore the Todoroki's backstory as well, since this is a redemption arc after all.

Yep! Deku a taste of his potential though. Both he and Shoto have a lot of growing to do, and this is just the beginning. Gohan and Shoto are definitely gonna be besties after this.

JustinCase chapter 49 . Jul 31

Welp, Bakugo won't be bullying any of Gohan's friends for a while now will he? He got a proper beat down, Saiyan style, but the best part hands down was him getting locked by his squad.

Explo-chan! What a cute lil mascot. It'll be funny if Bakugo actually gets attached to that thing in the future.

Final fight, Shoto vs Gohan. I think we can all say Gohan is going to win on experience plus he still hasn't used his Oozaru form… but now that it's night time, which at first I considered a little odd change from canon, now it makes sense. It's gonna be a full moon isn't it?

Ohhh boy this just got a million times more interesting! This feels like the magnus opus for this arc, the epic finale! So I can't wait to dig into it and see the clash of the Super Saiyan hybrids!

Also your comment about Gohan still keeping his "totally not a date" with kendo … To quote Hawkeye/Ronin: "don't do that. Don't give me hope!" XD

You were so close! But Gohan did use the Oozaru form, though not from the full moon, but rather thanks to Bardock's power ball technique. Just thought if there was one useful skill Bardock's vestige could pass on to Gohan, it would be that.

Brandon Dupere chapter 49 . Jul 31

SparkfireX chapter 49 . Aug 5

So, just read through the entirety of the fic so far as of 8/5/23. I was expecting something completely different than this (which is good, merging some characters and changing some story elements to fit you story makes it very unique). I expected it to be a Dragon Ball Z story set in the MHA universe, but it's actually an Amalgamation hybrid of the 2 verses with the DBZ side adapted to fit the MHA universe. That is very difficult to do, and it is done fairly well

But it makes me wonder- How would the Z/Super Vegeta react to this version of himself and/or Shoto and his Siblings? Maybe have a mini arc that has Mei, Momo, Tights, Bulma and Melissa team up to build a "Multiversal veiwer" that somehow accidentally brings Prime!Vegeta to this universe (and just for fun if you want, you could have prime!Goku & Prime!Broly as optional characters to bring with Vegeta). Be funny to see Bulma, All Might and Chi Chi react to a version of someone know, literally just not give a crap about anything and cause mayhem through the city (Plus, Prime!Vegeta would for the most be extremely confused as to why Shoto hates him- mostly because he has no idea who the hell he is)

Thank you so much for your encouraging review! I'm so glad you liked the story so far. I know there were a lot of hiccups in those early chapters, as I was still trying to find my style and figure out what I wanted to do with the story back then, but I've got a clearer picture now, and I do plan on rewriting some of them in the future, just to clean them up a bit.

It has definitely been a challenge trying to strike the correct balance between the two universes, but I think I got a handle on what I want it to look like now. But the most important thing for me has always been to keep things fresh and original, and have the ability to do what I want while still following some major events from both series.

And you're right, Prime!Vegeta would be disgusted at seeing VegEndeavor. I like to imagine that if the trinity of prime saiyans arrived onto this world, crime would disappear overnight! They'd wipe the floor with AFO XD

Vegeta: "So what's his deal? Planet busting punches? Death Rays? Planet-sized ki blasts?"
All Might: "He can use his accumulated powers to make his right arm really big!"
Goku: "HEEEHEEHEEE! No seriously, what is it? Time skip? Supernova? Laser vision?"
Deku: "No, that's really it. He can float about 20 feet off the ground, too, and sometimes grows several spikes out of his arm."
Vegeta: "..."
Goku: *Thumbs Up* "BRB"

lmao to quote the old The Dark Knight meets Superman skit from College Humor

Thank you again so much for your review!

SirTypesaLot chapter 49 . Aug 11

Okay I wound up reading this from start to finish over the past week. I really wanna like this story but admittedly I'm somewhat conflicted over it. Just gonna start with the things I do like first and foremost. Fair warning, I'm gonna live up to my namesake so you might wanna get something to drink.

1: Your story beats and ideas are absolutely amazing, the implementation of the DB characters are absolutely perfect. Roshi/Gran Torino even being the 6th OFA holder is an amazing twist, Goku being what's basically the winter soldier, and original stuff even before the usj? All absolutely amazing stuff there dude.

2: You actually have plans for the background members of 1a. Don't have to go into detail as to just how often they get shafted, especially characters like ojiro.

3: The class actually comes together instead of just being three or 4 separate cliques. God I hate THAT in shounen especially.

4: The shigeraki twist given raditz's backstory here. Need I say more.

5: The surprise birthday reunion with Gohan's family. That was wholesome as hell, but I personally think that'd be a hell of a lot more emotional for Gohan, because in that moment he sounded more like Goku then anything else, only complimenting Goten on his strength?

Now for the thing I downright hate about this story? In quite literally EVERY. SINGLE. CHAPTER. Ever since they met there hasn't been a SINGLE chapter where there HASN'T been some sort of in your face reference to how ochaco isn't the best thing ever since sliced bread to Gohan and vice versa, even in scenes where they're not even on screen at the same damn time! Aside from only knowing each other for a few weeks, they hit it off at light speed, which normally wouldn't be a bad thing in terms of platonic (at least to start) friendship as they've ran into each other earlier in a dumb but wholesome way that admittedly made me rofl at the time. But you made it so that the only real driving force behind Gohan and uraraka are each other. This isn't a dig in any way, but the last time I saw something this in your face blatant that persisted as long as it has, it was a Mortal Kombat x Young justice fic where the main pairing was Sub Zero x Mileena. Turns out that Sub-Zero was literally used as a self-insert. I'm not gonna lie and say that I'm not getting the same vibes here I'm afraid, especially since Gohan canonically is very much introverted during his teen years around others his own age. Especially since Gohan as a whole was originally made as a projection character, aka the sort of character that almost anyone can put themselves in the shoes of and can relate to. It ultimately comes off as making both Gohan and Ochaco (her especially) as 1 dimensional as Mikasa from AoT! Just replace obsessing over "Ereh!" with Gohan. Especially as that seems to be the only noteworthy thing about those two. It's no exaggeration when I tell you that you're focusing on romance as the sole character dynamic more then a fire emblem self-insert fic, and that sir is an incredibly high bar to go over. Now your versions of people are your own I won't give you crap for that. But the thing I can't help but notice is that romantic relationships are the only kinds of character dynamics you actually go for with everyone that actually matters as far as the student body goes. Gohan x Ochaco, Videl x Kirishima, Deku x Melissa, & Ojiro x Toru, just to name a few. Granted the rest are far more slow burn then first but you get where I'm going with this.

I'm conclusion, I know that I might sound like a bit of an asshole with how I'm putting this, but ultimately as a fellow writer and currently an editor for I wanna see others who can actually succeed do so and even improve at the thing they like to do. Wanna help build up what can be whilst avoiding being a prick, but if it isn't pointed out, then it'll never be addressed for another 40-something chapters at least.

LMAOOO well, thank you for that essay. Don't worry; though it contained some critiques, your review didn't come off as disrespectful at all, which I appreciate and totally respect.

I know the 'romance', or whatever the hell it was at that point, is an issue, especially in the chapters where it's the main focus. I'm not good at romance - or creative writing in general lmao - but at its conception, this story was only going to be mainly a romance fic, hence the cover. But it's not a self-insert. If that were the case, Gohan would be self-inserting himself into Bakugo's mamma HUBBA!HUBBA!

Ahem. Anywayyys, I really have to correct you on one thing though. Uraraka is NOOOT the main driving force behind Gohan's actions; not by a long shot! In fact, the only moment where Gohan let his feelings for Ochaco drive his actions was in one of the most recent chapters, and it almost ended in disaster.

I've spent almost half a million words beating you guys over the head about how his main goal is to change the world and shine a light in it that inspires people to help one another, and to create a safer and nurturing world in which Valese and Gohan and children like them can grow up to accomplish their dreams, regardless of what those dreams are.

Just as the Namekians of legend sought out the Dragon of Life, Porunga, with wishes of a better future, the people of today would look up to Gohan with hope in their eyes for a better tomorrow.

That's why he's the Dragon of Namek.

But even after all this - two years of obsessive writing and creating, half a million words and equal amounts of cups of coffee and sleepless hours, would you believe me if I told you the story still feels rushed to me? I am planning a rewrite to slow it down even further, clean up some threads that lead nowhere and one of the things I'm going to work on is slowing down the romance so that it's not as blatant as the cover suggests; make it a true Friends to Lovers sort of. And it should probably happen sooner rather than later.

Thank you for your review.

Guest chapter 8 . Aug 17

I cannot put this fic down! Wth! Great job guy. Goku's funeral made me tear up

I'm so glad you're enjoying it, Guest! Wait until you reach the twist at the end of that season!

That's it for Review Responses. Phew! Thank you for reading and for your continued support. Until next time!
