"Clank, do you see him anywhere," Ratchet looked around wildly.

"No, it's nowhere to be seen," by now the duo had freed themselves from the grip of Bróm, who had faded back into the shadows. The beast was hiding outside the lantern lights and would use the element of surprise. The lombax was armed with his blaster and omniwrench, as he looked to all corners of the park. The worst part though was the corrupted victims of the poison that Gunar had distributed. "This is bad...and Rivet is alone against that psycho," Ratchet was still pointing the gun around before his best friend reassured him, "Don't worry, Ratchet. We both know she can take good care of herself. And besides, Kit is still with..."

"Shh, there's something!"

New footsteps could be heard, getting louder and louder. Something big was running towards the hero from behind, who, thanks to his ears, was able to hear the stomping and rumbling in time to get out of the way. "There it is," Bróm almost knocked the heroes over, but Ratchet was able to jump aside quickly. However, the beast's large tail also played along and rammed into the orange one, sending it flying backwards.

Bróm himself now turned around and stared at the two heroes with his optics. Ratchet and Clank were back on their feet when the beast launched another attack. The lombax jumped up and swung his weapon at the furry beast's head, causing it to crash into one of the stands. "Okay, we got him once," but Ratchet had rejoiced too soon. Bróm quickly righted himself and rammed his tail against the ground again with full force, causing the hero to jump up out of reflex. In mid-air, however, it happened. For a brief moment, the monster was able to support itself on its back legs before its mechanical claws began to glow, igniting a fire behind its elbows.

This was followed by a parade of pain.

Bróm clenched his claws into fists and rammed them against the Lombax at lightning speed thanks to the drive on his elbows. Clank took less of a hit as Ratchet used him as cover, but the iron hands did him enormous damage. The final blow knocked the orange one back a few meters so that Ratchet lay on his back, "Argh... Clank, are you alright?"

"Apart from the fact that I'm lying on my face on the floor... I'm fine," the lombax naturally stood up immediately, before being violently pushed to the ground again. The hairy beast jumped directly onto the hero, placed its iron paws on his chest and then began to open its mouth. Ratchet quickly used his head to dodge the biting attacks that Bróm made with his iron lower jaw. On the next move, the corner of the hero's eye hit his blaster on the side, which was only a few meters from his right.

With his left, he grabbed his omniwrench and rammed it into the maw of the monster lying on top of him. Ratchet frantically tried to reach his trusty firearm, even though Bróm's resistance was strong. There were only a few centimetres left between his fingers and the weapon, which he now tried to reach with all his might. The beast struggled harder against the omniwrench and wanted to use one of its paws to attack.

But then the lombax finally grabbed the blaster.

Ratchet rammed the gun barrel against Bróm's side and fired. Although they were only grazing shots in the end, they were effective. The beast let go of the lombax, screaming, and quickly crawled back into the shadows of the attractions. The orange one stood up with difficulty and had already heard the words of his best friend again, "Oh... finally I can speak again without swallowing stones."

"All right, pa...", then the hero held his ribs and went to his knees. The pain was intense. The beast hadn't held back and Ratchet had probably suffered some internal bleeding and a sprained rib or two. "Ratchet, you urgently need nano-tech," the silver robot looked back worriedly, only to receive a slight grin from the hero, "That can wait... let's help Rivet first." As much as the lombax would have liked to go, a howl pulled him back. The beast was somewhere in the shadows and its red eyes shone on the hero. For better or worse, the duo had no choice. First Bróm would have to be eliminated, and then Ratchet could rush to the aid of his beloved.

But he didn't hold back a cheeky remark, "Hehe... why do I have to fight the monster?"

"Why do I have to fight the psychopath?"

Rivet and Kit were still running through the stalls and attractions.

The robot terrorist had lured them onto a scaffold, which was a bit older and therefore the rebel was balancing on the rattling wood. "Nevermind, we have to stop him before more aliens end up like those down there," the yellow robot girl stared one last time at the corpses that had become infested with the fungus and lowered her optics sadly. "Kit", the white lombax looked over at her partner with determination, "As long as I'm breathing, I won't let anyone else die from its poison! I'll make sure of that..."

The next step was her mistake.

The wood was more fragile than the others and Rivet fell down, and unfortunately for her, Kit hit the edge where she was the only one left on the scaffolding, "RIVET!" When the robot girl looked at the broken area, there was something strange. It seemed to have some kind of mold growing on it, dark green and eating through the wood. Kit then had her proof. They had been sabotaged.

Meanwhile, Rivet, on the other hand, landed on one of the carousel horses. The device was near under the scaffolding where she was still and then suddenly began to activate. The rebel involuntarily rode on the ride before a familiar voice could be heard behind her. "Have a nice ride," the robot terrorist was also on one of the horses a few horses behind her and grinned broadly in the rebel's face. "You disgusting... hey," something new caught Rivet's eye that was missing from Gunar, "Where... is your arm?"

"Up here," and then a bang was heard. Green Fields' right arm almost jumped at the white lombax, but it only clung to the bar. However, the fungus immediately spread on the piece of iron, tempting Rivet to jump onto the next horse. "Do you like that? My arms can detach from my body and still be controlled by me. Besides, the nice feature on my palm helps me spread my poison that way too," the extremist watched with a grin as the fuzzy rebel jumped from one vehicle to the next to escape the arm that was chasing her like a living creature, "That's it... run away! Show me your last will to live before my poison eats you!"

Rivet then adopted a new tactic. She turned around and banged her hammer against the right arm that was flung outside the carousel. "Oh, well, I've got to go," Green Fields jumped off his steed, put his right arm back on and ran into the next attraction. The rebel herself escaped the carousel and watched after the poisoner as his next destination was a house of mirrors.

" Seriously," with an annoyed snort, the rebel followed the robot inside.

As expected, it was full of mirrors that showed her face, but no mad bot with green hair. For the life of her, she tried not to bang into her own reflection and followed along the confused path that revealed itself. "You must count yourself lucky," then she heard Gunar's voice, "You're my guinea pig that survived the longest."

"And the first to kick your iron butt soon," Rivet admitted cheekily, and then finally caught sight of the extremist's reflection in the mirror. Unfortunately, he was already gone again and the many mirrors then showed his appearance, which caused the white lombax great confusion: "Oh come on! Come out and show yourself!"

"Rivet...are you in there?"

"Wait a minute...Kit? KIT", her best friend's voice could be heard and so Rivet followed the sound. After a few corridors, she finally stood in a room with a view of the park. And there stood the yellow robot girl, waving quickly to her. "Rivet, over here," it looked to Kit as if her partner was trapped in a glass cage in the zoo, where the rebel was already getting ready to break through with her prosthesis, but suddenly Rivet hesitated in shock.

"K...Kit, HE'S BEHIND YOU!"

Then green gases suddenly poured out. Rivet looked at them before the coughing began. The rebel coughed vigorously as the gaseous poison filled the air and she even dropped to her knees. "RIVET," Kit tried to run towards the glass, but a hand was placed on her shoulder, which would have given her a cold shiver if it had been possible. "That's beautiful, isn't it," Green Fields stared at the female lombax with a smile. The rebel was still coughing as she weakly banged on the glass, causing at least a few splinters. The terrorist then knelt down to the little robo-girl, who, shocked, couldn't take her blue eyes off the gasping rebel. That's how paralyzed with fear she was.

"Let's watch her die together...as life slips away from her," with one hand he held Kit's chin while his other stroked her head, and the worst thing is that the little robot couldn't do anything about it. That's how much Kit had been immobilized. But when Rivet saw how this psychopath held her friend and forced her to see the rebel's suffering, something stirred. The will to break through and so Rivet swung her iron fist one last time and rammed it against the glass.

Which finally shattered.

"Okay, time to go," Gunar shot out two ropes. One to use as a grappling hook and the other to drag Kit along with him, who called out to her friend. "K...KIT! Hang on I'm coming..." and Rivet was about to sprint off before something shocking stopped her. Small pieces of dark green fungus were forming on her left arm, causing her to cough again. The gas was gone, but for some reason the poison was still inside her and spreading very slowly. "Oh...shit," coughing, the rebel ran faster. She had to save Kit and find some way to fight the plague before it was too late.

And her opponent was already waiting for her.

Gunar stood in front of a box car with his arms folded and a freed Kit, who was now running towards the lombax, "Rivet, watch out, it's a..."

"Trap? Yes, that's what I thought," the two women stared at the unmoving terrorist, who suddenly began to grin and simply didn't take his eyes off the duo. "The poison looks great on you, darling. It's a slow version of my mushroom," Green Fields shouted after him before reaching into the inside of his suit, "And since you're a meatbag, you'll probably need an antidote."

"An antidote?"

The robot lifted up a small bottle. It contained a blue liquid, and Gunar playfully let the bottle slip through his fingers, "Bróm isn't a machine yet, I'm still working on it. Until then, I have to give him this medicine if he accidentally swallows the poison. Go on, get it rebel! Fight for it!" The heroines still had their backs to him. Then the terrorist realized that the fungus was now spreading to Rivet's ears and the rebel let out a short, painful groan. Gunar grinned even wider. Because soon he would finish her off. Finally, the time had come. Rivet turned around on her own, coughed one last time and then ran with her hammer towards the extremist who had been waiting for it. He spread his arms wide and shouted gloriously up into the sky.

"AND THUSS VICTORY GOES TO GREEN FIELDS!"

A huge green cloud of gas shot out of his suit, wrapping around the rebel so that the lombax could no longer be seen. "As soon as the smoke clears, I'll stand over her... look her in the eyes and watch the life leave her," the robot laughed maniacally in front of him. Green Fields had won the battle, conducted a successful experiment and had a little robot to boot. He was already thinking of the best way to take advantage of Kit when the poison disappeared, staring into the yellow robo-girl's fear-filled face.

"Maybe she'll be my new assis...", then a shot followed.

This narrowly missed his skull and the oil shot out of his head. With his optics up, he stared at the disappearing cloud of smoke, where Rivet was still standing upright with her blaster in her hand. But there was something new about her. Her actual space breathing mask was visible around her mouth, and Kit's compartment on her chest was open. The duo had devised a plan and thought about using the breathing mask for space against the poison. Although the rebel was still sick from the gas of the mirror house, she had spared herself more damage thanks to the mask, "Didn't see that coming, huh?"

"H...How...where..." the dripping Gunar stared in disbelief at the rebel, who now took off the mask and threw away the empty blaster, "And now bring the antidote, NOW!" "...How about a trade," the robot suddenly shouted in fear. Rivet, on the other hand, raised his eyebrows in bewilderment before Kit had his say, "What can you sick robot offer us?"

"INFORMATION!"

The duo raised their brows questioningly before the poisoner with the oil wound continued: "Do you think I found you by accident?" "Well..." before the lombax replied, the robot continued, "We've bugged you. There's a camera in your apartment. We saw everything, how you slapped your lover and the breakfast this morning! We know everything!" Shocked, the heroines stared at the extremist who was trying to stop the oil stain on his head. Rivet had heard enough, so she stuck out her hand and finally demanded what she actually wanted from this psychopath. "The antidote! Now!"

"Okay...you win...I'll never do it again," Gunar whimpered and handed over the vial.

While he pulled out a dagger in his left arm.

"GOT YA," Green Fields jerked the knife loose. Kit could no longer react and just stared as the weapon almost pierced her friend. But it didn't come to that. Rivet skillfully held her mechanical prosthesis in front of it, grabbed the dagger before it pierced her face and ripped it out of Gunar's hand, only to plunge it into his iron cheek himself. Now with more oil spurting out of his system, the poisoner took two steps backwards and looked up at the sky in shock: "...B...But my...information...was... enough to...take it..."

"Please," came out of Rivet, "Do you really think I'm going to let you go like the others? You really think I let you...a walking, disgusting piece of shit like you, live!?"

That was enough for Gunar. A final attack followed from the robot, "GRRR...YOU STUPID BITCH!"

Suddenly, the lombax stretched her right hand towards Kit. From the yellow robot's compartment, the Blackhole Storm formed completely and found itself in the rebel's hands. Rivet didn't hesitate any longer and fired the heavy rifle at the robot, almost completely ruining his suit. But Rivet did not stop. She put all her rage and contempt into this attack and fired the entire magazine at Gunar, which even took Kit with his optics up. The terrorist was so disgusting in the eyes of the rebel that she would unload one of her most powerful weapons completely on the bastard. The purple plasma continued to bounce off Green Fields, who barely moved and took the crossfire with full force.

When the weapon finally came to an end, Rivet leapt up and rammed her iron fist against Gunar's skull, screaming.

The enormous force of the attack threw him against the box cars, where he finally collapsed. Breathing heavily, Rivet went to his knees. The effort had only made the poison stronger and the mold had almost taken your entire left arm. "Rivet, drink this quickly," Kit was on the spot immediately and handed over the antidote that the white lombax had dropped during the attack.

She quickly drank the blue liquid, threw the bottle away and now it was time to wait and see: "Hm...the fungus no longer hurts...and it's slowly retreating."

"Then we should get to Ratchet and Clank quickly. They're still fighting the monster," the yellow one jumped onto her partner's back. It wasn't over yet. Bróm was still left and had a fight with Ratchet, where the orange Lombax's mistress finally wanted to intervene so that the four of them could defeat the beast together.

The female duo didn't notice how Gunar's fingers began to twitch again.
