Hi! This is a new story Ive decided to work on for my Jov! Hope you all enjoy

As the final class of the semester at Dartmouth came to an end, Olivia and Abby walked out of the lecture hall, feeling a mixture of relief and exhaustion. They had spent countless hours studying, writing papers, and attending lectures, and now they were ready to leave it all behind and enjoy their summer break.

Just as they were about to head back to their apartment, a familiar voice called out to them. "Olivia! Abby!" It was Jake Ballard, a classmate and acquaintance of theirs. Olivia groaned inwardly, knowing that Jake had a reputation for being obnoxious and self-centered. She exchanged a glance with Abby, who seemed more intrigued than annoyed by Jake's presence.

Jake caught up to them, a wide smile plastered on his face. "Hey, ladies! I couldn't help but overhear that you're both free for the summer. How about you join me and some friends at my family's vacation home? It's going to be a blast!"

Olivia couldn't help but roll her eyes at Jake's invitation. She had no desire to spend her summer surrounded by someone she found insufferable. "Thanks, Jake, but I think we already have our summer plans sorted," she replied, trying to sound polite but uninterested.

Abby, on the other hand, seemed to be considering the idea. She looked at Olivia, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. "Actually, Liv, it might be fun to shake things up a bit. What do you say?"

Olivia's jaw dropped in disbelief. She couldn't believe Abby was actually considering spending the summer with Jake. "Are you serious? You actually want to spend time with him?" she asked incredulously.

Abby shrugged, a playful smile on her lips. "Come on, Liv, it could be an adventure! Plus, Stephen is going, and we'll have each other for company. Who knows, maybe Jake will surprise us."

Olivia sighed, knowing that she couldn't talk Abby out of it. "Sorry I have plans," she lied.

Abby Shrugged it off knowing she would find a way to get Olivia to agree to going she went along with her lie "Ill be there Jake send me the details"

"Thank you Abby . Ill send it right over to you now. I really wish you could come Olivia" He said in a flirtatious tone

Olivia Scoffed and kept walking in the direction of their apartment leaving abby to catch up with her long struts

Back at their apartment, Olivia was in the kitchen, preparing dinner while Abby lounged on the couch, flipping through a travel magazine. The smell of spices and herbs filled the air, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Abby glanced up from the magazine and called out to Olivia, "Hey, Liv, have you thought more about joining us at the beach house in the Hamptons? It's going to be so much fun, and the perfect way to kick off our summer break!"

Olivia sighed, stirring the simmering pot on the stove. "Abby, I've already told you that I'm not interested in spending the summer with Jake and his friends. I'd rather just relax here and enjoy some peace and quiet."

Abby sat up, a pleading look in her eyes. "But Liv, think about all the adventures we could have! The beach, the parties, the late-night bonfires... It'll be a summer to remember, I promise."

Olivia tried to ignore Abby's enthusiasm, focusing on the task at hand. She knew that Abby could be persistent when she wanted something, and Olivia was starting to feel the pressure.

"Abby, I appreciate your excitement, but I really just want to unwind and take it easy this summer. I'm not in the mood for a hectic vacation," Olivia explained, hoping to get her point across.

Abby jumped up from the couch and approached Olivia, a determined look on her face. "Come on, Liv, just give it a chance. It'll be a great opportunity to have some fun and make memories. Plus, Stephen and I really want you to be there with us."

Olivia sighed in frustration, feeling the weight of Abby's insistence bearing down on her. She knew that Abby wouldn't give up easily, and she was starting to feel worn down by the constant persuasion.

"Fine, Abby," Olivia finally relented, exasperated. "I'll come to the beach house with you. But this is the last time I'm saying yes, okay? I just want to enjoy my dinner in peace."

Abby's face lit up with joy, and she pulled Olivia into a tight hug. "Thank you, Liv! You won't regret this, I promise. It's going to be the best summer ever!"

As Olivia continued cooking dinner, she couldn't help but feel a mix of annoyance and resignation. She can't believe she let abby sucker her into spending an entire summer with Jake Ballard. EW!

Days had passed since Olivia reluctantly agreed to join Abby and their friends at Jake's family beach house in the Hamptons. As the departure date drew near, Olivia found herself in her room, surrounded by a chaotic mess of books and clothes that were far from beach-appropriate. She had packed her favorite novels, study materials, and comfortable sweaters, completely ignoring the need for swimsuits and sun hats.

Abby peeked into Olivia's room, a look of disbelief on her face. "Liv, what are you doing? We're going to the beach house, not a library or a winter retreat," she exclaimed, taking in the sight of Olivia's mismatched packing.

Olivia looked up from her pile of books, a hint of irritation in her voice. "Abby, I need my books and my cozy clothes. I'm not really into the whole beach scene, you know that," she explained, trying to justify her packing choices.

Abby sighed and walked over to Olivia's suitcase, which was only half-filled with books and winter clothing. Without hesitation, she dumped the contents of the suitcase onto the floor, causing books and sweaters to scatter everywhere.

"Abby, what the hell are you doing!?" Olivia exclaimed, shocked by Abby's bold move.

Abby crossed her arms, a serious look on her face. "Liv, you can't go to a beach house with a suitcase full of books and sweaters. You need actual beach attire, like swimsuits, shorts, and sunscreen. I won't let you ruin this trip by hiding in your room and reading all day."

Olivia felt a surge of frustration and anger rise within her. She loved her books and comfortable clothes, and the thought of being forced to change her packing felt like an invasion of her personal space.

"Abby, I don't want to go to the beach or go to Jakes family's house. I'm only doing this for you Stephen and harry. Can't you just let me be myself and enjoy the trip in my own way?" Olivia pleaded, feeling a pang of sadness at the idea of sacrificing her comfort for the sake of fitting in.

Abby softened her expression, realizing the depth of Olivia's reluctance. "Liv, I understand that the beach isn't your ideal vacation spot. But this trip is about stepping out of your comfort zone, trying new things, and making memories with friends. You can bring your books, but please pack some beach essentials too. Trust me, you won't regret it."

Reluctantly, Olivia began to gather her beach attire, still grumbling under her breath about the inconvenience. As she folded her swimsuits and packed sunscreen, she couldn't shake the feeling of unease about the upcoming beach vacation Maybe abby was correct but deep down inside olivia was still pissed.

As Stephen pulled up to the girls' apartment in his car, Olivia and Abby gathered their bags and made their way outside to join him. Jake, ever the opportunist, took the chance to shamelessly flirt with Olivia as they loaded their luggage into the trunk.

"Hey, Olivia, let me help you with that bag," Jake said with a smirk, reaching for one of Olivia's suitcases.

Olivia raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by Jake's attempts at charm. "Cut the chatter, Jake. If you really want to make me happy, grab those bags and load them in the car," she retorted, giving him a pointed look that brooked no argument.

Jake chuckled, realizing that Olivia was not one to be swayed by empty compliments. He grabbed the bags as instructed, trying to maintain his cool facade in front of the group.

Abby and Stephen shared a knowing smile, hoping their bond growing stronger. As Stephen closed the trunk and joined the group, he wrapped an arm around Abby's waist, pulling her close for a quick kiss that spoke volumes of their affection for each other.

Just then, their friend and Olivias younger brother Harrison appeared, jogging up to the car with a wide grin on his face. "Hey, guys! Sorry I'm late, but I couldn't miss out on the beach trip," he exclaimed, his enthusiasm infectious as he greeted the group with a warm hug.

Abby beamed at Harrison's arrival, happy to have their friend join them for the adventure ahead. However, Harrison's presence seemed to irk Olivia, who shared a brother-sister relationship with him that often involved playful teasing and banter.

Harrison, sensing Olivia's discomfort, leaned in with a mischievous grin. "Hey, sis, need any help with those bags? Or are you too busy being the queen of pouting?" he teased, knowing full well how to push Olivia's buttons.

Olivia rolled her eyes, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Thanks, but I've got it covered, little brother. Just make sure you don't trip over your own feet on the way to the car," she retorted, playfully poking fun at Harrison's tendency for clumsiness.

With Harrison's arrival adding a new dynamic to the group, the journey to the beach house in the Hamptons promised to be filled with laughter, teasing, and aggravation now that she was sandwiched between Harrison and Jake.

As the car ride continued, Jake's attempts at flirting with Olivia became more persistent, much to her annoyance. He leaned in closer, trying to engage her in conversation, but Olivia remained steadfast in her indifference, giving him curt responses and pointedly avoiding eye contact.

"Come on, Liv, don't be like that. We're all here to have a good time," Jake said with a smirk, undeterred by Olivia's cold demeanor.

Olivia sighed inwardly, feeling a mixture of frustration and amusement at Jake's persistence. She knew his type – charming, confident, and utterly insufferable and she had no intention of falling for his smooth talk.

"Jake, I appreciate the effort, but I'm really not in the mood for small talk right now," Olivia replied, her tone laced with a hint of sarcasm turning her attention back to her book.

Abby, sensing the tension between Olivia and Jake, tried to lighten the mood. "Hey, why don't we play a game to pass the time? How about '20 Questions'?" she suggested, shooting a sympathetic look at Olivia.

Jake perked up at the idea, eager for a new opportunity to engage with Olivia. "I'm game! Olivia, you can go first. Ask me anything," he said with a grin, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

Olivia raised an eyebrow, a sly smile playing on her lips. "Alright, Jake. Here's a question for you: If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose to be and why?"

Jake laughed, clearly enjoying the challenge. "Hmm, that's a tough one. I think I'd choose James Bond. He's suave, sophisticated, and always gets the girl," he answered confidently.

Olivia couldn't help but chuckle at his predictable choice. "Of course, James Bond. Classic choice, Jake. But remember, even James Bond has his flaws," she quipped, unable to resist a subtle dig at his ego.

As the game of '20 Questions' progressed, the atmosphere in the car became lively and engaging, with each member of the group eagerly participating. Olivia's clever questions and witty banter set the tone for a fun and interactive game, drawing out amusing responses from Jake and sparking laughter from Abby, Harrison, and Stephen.

"Okay, Jake, here's a challenge for you," Olivia began, a playful twinkle in her eye. "If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?"

Jake, always ready with a charismatic answer, didn't miss a beat. "I'd choose teleportation, hands down. Imagine being able to travel anywhere in an instant – no more traffic jams or long car rides," he said with a grin, clearly pleased with his choice.

Abby clapped her hands in excitement, adding her own thoughts to the mix. "Teleportation would be amazing! Think of all the places we could visit together, no more waiting in airport lines or cramped flights," she exclaimed, her eyes lighting up with the possibilities.

Harrison, never one to miss a chance to inject humor into the conversation, chimed in with a mischievous grin. "I don't know, Jake. With teleportation, you might end up in some pretty strange places if you're not careful. Imagine accidentally teleporting into a zoo enclosure or a rock concert," he joked, earning a round of laughter from the group.

Stephen, the calm and collected voice in the car, leaned back in his seat with a smile. "Teleportation does sound tempting, but I think I'd go for the ability to time travel. Imagine being able to witness historical events firsthand or revisit your favorite moments in life," he mused, adding a thoughtful dimension to the conversation.

As the game continued, each member of the group shared their own preferences for superpowers, sparking lively debates and imaginative scenarios that filled the car with laughter and camaraderie. Despite their differences, the bond between Olivia, Abby, Jake, Harrison, and Stephen grew stronger with each question asked, creating memories that would last long after the journey to the beach house was over.

As the car ride continued, Olivia found herself growing increasingly tired, the rhythmic motion of the car lulling her into a peaceful slumber. Unconsciously, she leaned her head on Harrison's shoulder, seeking comfort and warmth in the midst of her drowsiness.

Harrison, feeling Olivia's weight against him, glanced down at her with a soft smile, careful not to disturb her rest. He adjusted his position slightly, allowing her to rest more comfortably against him as the car neared their destination.

As the group arrived at the beach house, the excitement of their arrival was palpable in the air. Stephen parked the car, and as the others began to gather their belongings and step out, Harrison gently shook Olivia awake, whispering her name softly to rouse her from her slumber.

Olivia blinked sleepily, gradually coming to full consciousness as she realized they had reached their destination. With a grateful smile, she thanked Harrison for his support and stretched her limbs, feeling refreshed and ready for the adventures that awaited them at the beach house.

As the group made their way towards the entrance of the house, Jake's mood darkened at the sight of his uncle Fitz's car parked in the driveway. His mother had assured him that they would have the house to themselves for the weekend, and the unexpected presence of his uncle left him feeling betrayed and frustrated.

Fueled by irritation Jake approached Fitz, who was seated in a chair on the porch, smoking a cigar and enjoying the ocean breeze. With a angry expression, Jake confronted his uncle, demanding to know why he was there and accusing him of ruining his plans for a weekend of freedom.

Fitz, unfazed by Jake's outburst, took a leisurely puff of his cigar before responding with a calm demeanor. "Easy there, Jake. Your mother thought it would be a good idea for me to keep an eye on things while she's away. No need to get worked up about it,Ill stay out of you and your friends way" he explained, his tone gentle but firm standing up looking down at Jake

Jake's anger simmered beneath the surface as he struggled to accept the change in plans. Despite his frustration, he knew better than to challenge his uncle's authority, and reluctantly accepted the presence of Fitz at the beach house, resigned to the fact that his weekend would not unfold as he had hoped.

As the group settled into the beach house, the tension between Jake and Fitz lingered in the air, casting a shadow over the otherwise joyous atmosphere. With emotions running high and unexpected challenges ahead, this summer will definitely be testing the hell out of everyones patience.
