Miho woke up the next morning. She was on the sticks about Tomori. She wanted to see how she was doing. Still in Tanya's cabin and decided to invite her over for breakfast. Tomori arrived a couple minutes later as Tanya was busy cooking for the group.
"How did everyone sleep last night?" Yukari asked while they were settling down.
"Better than I had in days." Tomori began. She turned to Miho as the ragged old lady was curious about her friend. "So, you said you were going to care for me?"
"Yes I am, don't know if you want my help or not?" Miho asked Tomori if she was going to have her help with the task. "Ayami put me on this duty and I'm going to be stuck with it." Tomori laughed as she watched Tanya cooking.
"Miho, getting stuck with something is something I usually laugh at." Tomori began. "It helps you get used to your new job and no matter how long it lasts, you want to enjoy it as much as you can. It's what I learned about medicine."
"Hey Tomori's right. We shouldn't be too upset when it comes to jobs like these." Yukari told Miho while giving her a pat on the back.
"Yes but why did I get stuck with the job of being a babysitter when I should be teaching those students. I got sidestepped for students who don't know how to lead effectively."Miho sighed as Tanya served her breakfast to Miho. Yukari kind of felt bad for Miho, sensing she was stuck with this type of work.
"I might talk to Rowan later and see if she can let you off the hook with this punishment. Maybe one day with Tomori isn't going to hurt." Yukari explained. Tomori smiled before patting Yukari on the back.
"Yes, listen to Yukari, she says a day with me isn't going to hurt one bit. I might tell you some stories of the Kuromorimine students I treated, including tank ace Shiho." Tomori explained to Miho how she was willing to pass the time while Yukari went to sort everything out. Miho's eyes widened when she heard the name.
"Shiho? Shiho Nishizumi?" Miho asked Tomori if that was the name that Tomori brought up.
"Yep, that's the name." Tomori told Miho.
"You know mom, that's sweet." Miho explained to Tomori that girl she had a run with, Miho was her daughter.
"You're her daughter?" Tomori asked. "Well it's great to see Shiho has given a daughter that she is proud of."
"Two, I have an older sister named Maho, she just graduated not to long ago. I think Shiho would be ecstatic when she hears that you are spending time with me. I hope." Miho explained to Tomori that she hoped that Shiho would welcome an old acquaintance of hers. Tomori began to fumble around looking for something.
"Mouse dung! I forgot my pills before coming here, my joints are aching me!" Tomori told Miho that she wasn't going to be much use if she had aching joints. Miho decided to continue eating before coming to her senses.
"When did you have them last?" Miho asked Tomori when she last had her pills.
"Few days ago but that was when I ran out of them." Tomori explained. Miho knew she couldn't take no for an answer and needed to find more medicine for Tomori.
"Excuse me, do you know where I can find joint medication?" Miho asked Tanya if she knew a place that she could get something for Tomori.
"Stephanie has some, show her the product and she will know what to give. She's the medicine girl or cat around here." Tia explained as she just joined the group. "Finish up breakfast as training begins in ten."
"Okay." Tanya explained to Tia. "You know where Stephanie's cabin is?" Tanya asked Miho.
"Not really, I haven't seen it in this neck of the woods, you know where it is?" Miho asked. Tanya nodded before she took a copy of the map and marked off the spot where Stephanie's cabin was located.
"Oh also some goldenrod, I hear it reduces inflammation, could go well with the joint medicine and maybe a couple of dry poppy seeds."
"Okay, I got the list down, I'll be back shortly." Miho explained to Tomori as Yukari was cleaning up breakfast from the group.
Miho got outside of the cabin and got on her bike, there was some chatter regarding the new arrivals that had come just earlier today.
"Are you sure you teach my warriors? They don't seem to be adapted into anything Saunders might throw at them." Ayami was speaking to them.
"Don't worry, we should be able to teach your students. We just need to take a look at the tanks." Jouko explained to Ayami that they should be able to help the students shoot accurately when it came to this type of stuff.
"Good, I don't think we have had anybody with the experience that would qualify for something like this. Plus Ayami must've sidelined a potentially good teacher to take care of a ragged stranger she brought into the house." Rowan explained. She felt pretty angry about the whole lack of progress that her school was facing.
"If she did, hopefully she is causing no harm. We don't know her so we're not going to be bringing up any form of accusations as of now." Dalmatia explained that if Ayami was pulling the strings, then this was a mistake Ayami made on her end. Rowan believed that punishing Miho for feeding a stranger was the best idea but considering the state that they were in, maybe punishing her wasn't the best decision.
"Okay but if you can help us with our woes, we'll consider second thoughts for Miho." Rowan explained. Miho got on her bike and pedaled off to find Stephanie with Tomori's empty bottle of medicine. Maybe Stephanie had some she could give to Tomori.
Miho arrived at Stephanie's cabin to see if the pretty girl was home. After placing the kickstand down to the bike, Miho walked over to the house and knocked on the door to Stephanie's cabin. She wanted to see if she was home. The door opened to show a pretty girl at the entrance.
"Come on in." Stephanie told Miho. Miho walked in as she wanted to make her request with Stephanie clear.
"Hey Stephanie, do you have any medicine for joint pain?" Miho asked, she handed the medicine container to Stephanie as she decided to take a look at it.
"This brand I don't have." Stephanie explained to Miho that she didn't carry this brand of joint medicine for Tomori. "I don't really have pills stored at my cabin."
"Well Tomori also explained that she would like Goldenrod and Poppy seeds if you have those." Miho explained to Stephanie that she would also try any natural remedies if this was possible if she was to help Tomori out.
"I have those. Wait here." Stephanie told Miho before she headed off to find the stash of herbs she kept in storage. Miho looked around Stephanie's cabin and she had quite the collection of paintings. Rough fibered canvases and the paints that were partially opened as Stephanie had been working on those. Miho was genuinely curious about all of this. After a few minutes, Stephanie stepped out with the bundle of herbs, looking like she had brought Miho more than she expected her to. "I got her some Marigold to help reduce the inflammation if her joints are killing her. I wouldn't recommend her moving too much as this will hurt her."
"Thanks… uh… Spottedleaf?" Miho asked if this was Stephanie's codename.
"Ayami calls me that a lot but calling me by my regular name is preferred. I don't know how many people read stories of clan cats." Stephanie explained. Miho nodded when she learned about her real name.
"You have some nice paintings around here, I might ask if you did all of those yourself?" Miho asked Stephanie about her art work, and she was impressed by this.
"I did, I exchanged medicinal herbs for paints which are hard to come by. Artwork made by me is prized by outside schools, especially Kuromorimine. Koume Akaboshi bought a couple of them when she needed to give a present to a family member of hers. We have the odd days where we chat and see how we're doing." Stephanie explained to Miho about her friendship with one of the passing students.
"I sense you two got along and by the looks of things, you have an interest in plants and flowers." Miho explained to Stephanie that this was something she did a lot of paintings on.
"I do as I also have an interest in animals too. We can't see them in the ship as we fear the wild life will go running over the side as the ship doesn't allow animals on the upper decks." Stephanie replied to Miho's explanation.
"Oh I need to get going, Tomori will be worried if I don't get these herbs for her." Miho explained to Stephanie that she needed to get going. She wanted to know more about her but she didn't have the time to ask.
"Take care and also tell Yellowfang to go easy on the Poppy seeds. I don't want to have a dead person in the cabin." Stephanie explained to Miho. Miho gathered the bundle of herbs and left the cabin. She got back on the bike and pedaled back to Tomori.
Miho arrived back at Tomori's cabin with the bundle of herbs. She knocked on the door to see if Tomori was going to respond.
"It's open." Tomori told Miho. Miho opened the door and walked inside. Tomori was sitting on the couch as Miho began speaking.
"Stephanie didn't have your joint medicine but she had Goldenrod and Poppy Seeds, she also gave you some Marigold to help with the joint pain." Miho explained as she placed the bundle of herbs down.
"Thanks Miho. I sense you're getting used to the house chores around here." Tomori explained. "I don't know who else will be doing this."
"Who else is taking care of you?" Miho asked Tomori as she was taking her herbs in the correct procedure.
"I told Jake to get me something to read as I brought nothing to keep myself from being bored. These girls don't have books in their cabins. What is this world coming to?" Tomori asked. Miho paused for a moment before she began to think about it.
"Jake is pretty nice. Had a couple conversations with him and he's pretty decent. I wasn't expecting him to be the older brother to Dimitri who's dating that one Pravda student. Saori will go head over heels for cute boys." Miho explained to Tomori. Tomori laughed happily when she heard about Saori.
"I have yet to talk to her but she looks like she's looking for someone to love her as much as she's giving that love." Tomori explained to Miho. She paused as she began to think about it. "Tell you what, if you bring Saori over here so I can speak to her, I'll let you off the hook this evening. It'll be nice to have different people care for me."
"Sure. I'll see if I can track her down." Miho told Tomori. Then a knock on the door as Miho went over to see who it was. It was Jake as he was carrying a small bag.
"Sorry for taking so long, I didn't know what you were interested in." Jake explained to Tomori. He got out three books for Tomori.
"Thanks." Tomori explained to Jake. Jake then turned to Miho.
"Seems to me that you're taking care of her. I'm impressed thinking I was going to do it alone." Jake began.
"Well I had to go get medicine for her and they didn't have her pills. I got some herbs thinking they are going to do the job." Miho explained to Jake where she had been off to this morning.
"Impressed to hear. I should take care of her for the next few hours, you deserve a bit of a break." Jake told Miho.
"But I haven't done much." Miho protested. This herb trip was nothing but why was she going to need a break?
"Everyone deserves a bit of rest no matter how insignificant their job may be." Jake told Miho that she could use the rest. Was there any reason to protest?
"Fine, just because you asked nicely." Miho grumbled. She got up and left. Did Jake make a mistake for letting Miho take a break? Only time will tell.
Miho was sitting alone when Ritsu and Mio showed up with Makaila and Delilah. They were going to be talking about something among themselves.
"Still taking care of that mangy old flea bag huh?" Makaila began in a rather taunting manner.
"Jake said he was going to take over while I caught myself a bit of a break." Miho explained. "What are you guys up to?"
"Addisyn is going to teach us battle training so we can fight like real warriors." Delilah responded with excitement.
"What about the tanks, do they matter as much as physical combat?" Miho asked Delilah.
"No. A good person should use every part of her body to fight." Delilah explained to Miho. Miho did not find fault with that.
"What about you Ritsu?" Miho asked.
"Hikari is going to be teaching me how to fire the T-26 with target practice. This is something I am looking forward to." Ritsu explained to Miho. "I better get going, she's waiting on me." Ritsu explained to Miho before she walked off.
"See ya Ritsu." Miho told her friend as Ritsu climbed onto a bike and pedaled away.
"Well I'm off to find a friend that Tomori asked me to get. Maybe I should be free to do what I need to." Miho told the others that she can't stick around. She hopped onto her bike and pedaled away. She needed to find Saori.
"Well we're clear. Nice time chatting through the radio today." Saori explained to the group that she was attempting to practice communications with. Some of the participants had their ears ringing and they weren't in the best shape. "We'll continue practice tomorrow, have a nice day." Saori walked off to spot Miho by her side. "Hey what's up?
"I got a break from taking care of Tomori and I was wondering, can you come with me to speak to her?" Miho asked Saori if this was something Saori was willing to do.
"Sure, I got nothing else to do until tomorrow. Lead the way." Saori explained to Miho. Miho nodded before she got onto her bike with Saori following behind. She was going to bring her back to Tomori.
When they got back to the cabin. Tomori was sitting on the porch with Jake as they had been joined with Rowan and Yukari who were waiting for Miho and Saori. They wanted to speak to her about something. Tomori began speaking first.
"You're back and you've brought Saori with you." Tomori began. She was pleased to hear about this. I guess I can let you off the hook for tonight. Saori, Miho told me a lot about you and I'm curious about you. Would you like to take care of me for the night?" Tomori asked as the lady's old bones were going to shake if she stood up.
"Of course, it's the kindest thing someone would do. If it was a demand I would have said no." Tomori told Saori that she would accept the care for the night. "Jake sonny boy. Make sure this girl doesn't flirt with you."
"Will do." Jake told Tomori that he will keep Saori in check. Saori looked at Jake, she was interested in him like any girl would be. Rowan decided to pull Miho over as she wanted to talk to her.
"So Miho, I've sensed you did your best to take care of Tomori for today and she told me you had gotten her medicine." Rowan began talking to Miho.
"I did, Tomori wasn't as big of a headache I expected her to be. She actually laughed at a lot of things I said." Miho told Rowan.
"Yes I see. I had to squeeze a compliment out of the incompetent Mio for landing a shot beyond 500 meters." Rowan explained. She needed to get back on track when it came to what she wanted to talk to Miho about. "I talked to Yukari as the students that are being trained aren't making much progress. It turns out that punishing you was a bad choice and we need experienced students to guide us. I'm willing to go behind Ayami's back to have your punishment lifted early if you do something for me." Rowan explained that she had a specific request for Miho if she was to have her punishment lifted.
"What's that?" Miho asked Rowan.
"There is a crate buried somewhere in the woods that you need to retrieve. I might host a party with everybody on board this ship. Bring the crate back to my cabin and I will let you start training the students and have Saori take your place whenever she has the free time." Rowan explained.
"Where is the crate hidden?" Miho asked Rowan if she had a place where the crate was stashed in. Rowan began to think of where the crate was hidden.
"It's near the bow end of the ship, right where Lookout Pass ended when we went on the tour for the first time. I buried it in a small clearing where the earth is turned over, I buried it there some time ago and hopefully the grass didn't start growing there." Rowan explained where she hid the crate. Miho then nodded and took the map.
"I will bring the crate back to you." Miho promised. This actually made Rowan smile.
"Go for it and your punishment will be lifted if successful." Rowan explained. Miho nodded and skipped off. Rowan and Yukari watched as she turned her head to Yukari. "Do you think Miho will succeed?"
"Impossible is what she is capable of doing. If she managed to save Ooarai twice, she can find the crate you need." Yukari told Rowan.
As nighttime came, Miho, Momoga and Hailey pedaled their way to the spot where Rowan had hidden the crate, they brought their two bikes, two shovels and two violin cases.
"Are you sure you know what Rowan is talking about?" Hailey asked Miho if this was going to be the best spot to be looking for this crate.
"I'm pretty sure that Rowan knows about this crate but since you two were the only ones I can grab from, you're going to be my diggers." Miho explained to Hailey. Momoga got off of her bike as she looked around with her lantern.
"We should look for this place, we're in the area." Momoga explained to them. She took the lantern and began to walk around. "Also why do we have two violin cases, I never thought we both played violins."
"One of them only has the violin. The other I won't talk about." Miho explained to Momoga, she seemed to be the only person who wanted to enjoy what was going to happen.
"I think we only have one violin on us. I just hope we don't get reckless with it." Hailey replied to Momoga and Miho. She was worried about the instrument getting damaged. Miho walked over to the case as she opened it. She found Hailey's violin and bow.
"Hey Hailey, I think this is the place Rowan was talking about." Momoga explained, the area's soil was turned up as proof that someone used this area recently.
"Yes it is, wait here while I get the shovels." Hailey told Momoga, she walked over to the cart and grabbed the shovels and tossed one to Momoga. "Here begin digging, we should have the crate out in a few." Hailey told Momoga as she began digging the area up. Miho began to play the violin as best as she could as she began to recite something she had seen.
"Old Man River! That seems far too austere a name for something made of mirth and rage." Miho began while bowing Hailey's violin. "O, roiling red-blood river vein. If chief among your traits is age," Miho would pluck one of the strings to the violin. "you're a wily, convoluted sage." Miho laughed and she played a note. "Is "old" the thing to call what rings the vernal heart of wester-lore? What brings us brassy-myth made kings." Miho would ask herself while giving the violin a stroke across the stringers. "And a preponderance of bug-type things." Miho would tell herself while playing a bug type tune. Her song echoed across the ship. "To challenge titans come before!" She said as her violin playing continued. "O, demiurge to a try at Avalon-once-more? And what august vitality in your wide aorta stream. You must have had to oversee alchemic change of timber beam to iron, brick and engine steam! Your umber whiskey waters lance the prideful, sober sovereignty of faulty-haloed temperance, and wilt her self-sure countenance; Yes, righteousness is vanity." Miho told herself, chuckling as she found this funny. "But sport's for imps, not elderly. So if there's a name for migrant mass of veteran frivolity That snakes through seas of prairie grass and groves of summer sassafras; a name that flows as roguishly as wild waters, fast and free," Miho told herself as the violin stopped playing. "It's your true name: Mississippi." The flashlight shone on Miho's face as someone wanted her attention.
"Ahem!" Hailey called out for Miho's attention. "It's abundantly clear! You forgot us down here." Hailey told Miho while Momoga was hard at work digging.
"Encore?" Miho asked, no response before she paused. "Uh, no encore?"
"Please, no. No, that's plenty." Momoga told Miho that she didn't want more violin playing.
"It's fine. We're fine." Hailey added. Miho wanted to find a way to spice their night up while searching for Rowan's crate.
"Eh, should I, eh, add a d-dance? Extra stanzas?" Miho asked with a bit of a wheezing laugh. "There's more where that came from!"
"Please don't ruin musical theater for everyone." Momoga explained to Miho that she didn't want anything ruining their musical stance when it came to the violin.
"I'm not sure lookouts are supposed to make such a ruckus anyway. Why don't you come down here and grab a shovel?" Hailey asked if Momoga could catch a break, be a look out and Miho took her place with the digging.
"Alas, Miss Hailey. I was cursed, cursed with these spaghetti arms! So, I do what I can. I provide the a-!" Miho explained that her arms were too thin so she couldn't dig. Miho would then lose her balance and she ended up falling down with the violin in tow. Miho didn't fall very far as she just measly ended up falling into the grass. The violin slid out first followed by Miho. Miho got up. "I provide the ambiance. Baby-Face provides the muscle. Look at her digging her way to martyrdom, the little go-getter!" Miho told Hailey that Momoga was the baby-faced girl of the bunch before winking. "Now, how about a little rhapsody in G minor for company?" Hailey grew frustrated that Miho wanted to fool around and not get the job done.
"Fine! If you're not going to help us work, you're going to have to double as the dirt rag." Hailey told Miho that she better make herself useful. Momoga was still digging when she felt the shovel hitting wood.
"Miho?" Momoga asked Miho for something.
"Ah!" Miho called out. She went over to where the Wooden Crate was going to be, thinking she found it.
"I think I fou-" Momoga began. Miho looked over to see the wooden crate that Rowan had instructed them to get. Miho cackled with excitement.
"Is that it?" Hailey asked Miho if they had found what they were looking for. Momoga batted Miho away from her face before she began speaking.
"Well, if it isn't, we'll have some awkward explaining to do to the family of, uh…" Miho explained before grabbing a bottle, she struggled to make out what the bottle said. "Herman Hapfamschfeel?" Miho told herself. This was something Olivia Kaya would be able to read easily but she wasn't here. The sounds of frogs croaking and owls hooting from the speakers was adding to the ambience but there was another noise in the mix. Miho and Momoga pulled the crate from the ground and began to carry it back to their bikes, they wanted to see what was inside them.
"What was that? Did you hear something?" Momoga asked, she didn't know if that sound was from the speakers or somewhere else.
"It's all these unresting spirits! We're trespassin' on their turf." Miho explained to them before she spoke in an over-the-top Irish accent. "But there's naught ye can do about it, ye feisty devils!"
"I wish my mom was here." Momoga sighed, this was a job that was the most boring to her.
"What? Blasphemy! That force of nature, she'd stop us dead." Miho explained, she wasn't afraid of anything.
"I know." Momoga explained with a sigh.
"Oh, Momoga. Don't tell me you aren't having a good time showing off your shoveling skills for hotsy-totsy over here." Miho explained before she showed that Momoga and Hailey might be a couple and they were going to get shipped in this fanfiction. Hailey rolls her eyes in disgust. A horn was heard as she got excited and scared at the same time.
"Begorra! For a moment there, I thought it was your mom." Miho explained while she laughed. Momoga didn't like this where this was going given how crazy Miho was when she was digging up something from the ground.
"This is why you don't go rillin' up spirits and digging up graves and sacrilegin' and…" Momoga tried to explain before Miho cuts her off in a rude manner.
"Settle down, cousin. The spirits are all bottled up." Miho told Momoga with a laugh to her voice. "Hundred years past, Burke and Hare were up to much worse. And things turned out just fine for them."
"D- didn't they ge- hang 'em?" Momoga asked, she was curious to figure out what exactly happened to the characters of Burke and Hare.
"Details, Momoga. Details." Miho told her friend. They then placed the crate down while Hailey tossed Momoga a crowbar to pry the crate open.
"Now show me your crowbar skills." Hailey told Momoga to open the crate up. Momoga gave a shy laugh. She wanted to see what was inside. The two of them placed the crowbars on the wooden crate and began opening it up. Once the crate was opened, Momoga decided to peek inside.
"Oh, thank the saints." Momoga whispered to herself. It wasn't a dead body inside of the crate but instead glass bottles clattering inside. Miho shovered Momoga aside to see what was the clattering sound of the crate.
"Ah, liquid gold! Dionysian delight! Better still, Maple High School whiskey!" Miho told herself, was this what Rowan wanted? All of this whiskey? Momoga batted Miho's hand away while Hailey opened the cooler and they began loading the whiskey bottles into the cooler. Miho was humming Whiskey in the jar.
"I think we should hurry." Momoga explained, she didn't want to stay in this area for very long, she feared something was going to happen within the next ten seconds.
"I'll start the car." Hailey jokingly told the two of them while she went to go get the bikes. Miho was too busy singing to herself.
"Whiskey in the jar." Miho was enjoying the song she was singing. She then looked at Hailey. "Uh, leave the headlamps off. Can't be too careful."
"Right. We've been so discreet up until now." Hailey explained as Miho bumped into Momoga which caused her to drop one of the whiskey bottles.
"Oh, uh. Ah, dang it." Momoga explained to Miho. Miho realized one of the whiskey bottles Momoga dropped was rolling away.
"No! Don't let that get away! Miss M can't spare a drop! Murderation!" Miho shouted as the bottle softly tapped one of the trees. "Where's that spotlight when we need it, Miss Hailey?" Miho asked Hailey for a flashlight to find the runaway whiskey bottle. Hailey rolled her eyes and decided to grab the flashlight from the supplies and prepared to shine the area for the bottle. "Now the spirits are afoot!" Miho called out to Momoga.
"Hold on! I got it! I got it!" Momoga explained to Miho that she got what she believed to be the whiskey bottle.
"No, that is my foot! That's not what I meant!" Miho explained to Momoga that they couldn't see where the bottle was so Momoga grabbed Miho's foot by mistake.
"Well, I can't see!" Momoga explained. Hailey walked but something else had turned its light on for them so they could see better. Then Miho turned head to the right to find the Whiskey bottle.
"Ah! There it is!" Miho told Momoga. Momoga angrily shoved Miho's face to the ground.
"Gah! Stop it!" Momoga protested that she wanted to grab the bottle first.
"Y-you!" Miho growled as she tried to get the bottle.
"Get off me, Miho!" Momoga shouted, they couldn't be fighting over this whiskey bottle just to put it into the cooler.
"Ow!" Miho shouted, that must've hurt her.
"Hey! Ah! Get off!" Momoga told Miho as they continued their scuffle for the bottle. However the light that was turning on wasn't from Hailey's flashlight as it didn't shine it's light that brightly. Instead, someone had pulled up behind Hailey. Hailey still looked at her flashlight that was off. Hailey turned around to see what the company was.
"Ah!" Hailey shouted before she panicked and hopped onto the bike and began to pedal away. Then Kay stepped off of her motorcycle and began firing her BAR rifle at Hailey. Paintballs splattering everywhere as Hailey tried to run away from the situation.
"Excuse me hee!" Miho told Kay that she need to get the bottle and get out of there. Kay had loaded another magazine into the BAR and she continued firing away. Hailey screamed in confusion as Kay laughed.
"Ah!" Hailey's confused scream was still continuing as Kay laughed and continued firing her BAR. Miho and Momoga realized the situation, they grabbed the whiskey bottle and booked it out of there.
"Look like we got some live ones tonight." Alisa told Kay that this was the first part of coming onto this ship. She was more or less going to enjoy this. Kay laughed.
"Yeah. C'est bon. The chase is the best part." Kay explained after she cocked her BAR and continued to fire away. Miho and Momoga caught up to a panicking Hailey who needed them on board so she could pedal off.
"Get in! Get in get in get in!" Hailey shouted as Miho hopped on and stashed the last whiskey bottle into the cooler and Momoga got on the other bike and pedaled with Hailey to go faster. Kay was still spraying her BAR at the group.
"Let's not prolong this. This is a trifling matter. We have other business to tend to." Naomi reminded Kay and Alisa that they shouldn't do this for too long as they had other business to attend to.
"Yeah. But none of it near as fun as this gon' be." Alisa explained that this was going to be their first night on this ship and they wanted to have as much fun as they could.
"Mm! Can't let the competition go unchecked. Even a little vermin, they got a way of… festering. Allons!" Kay explained to Naomi that she should enjoy the moment.
"Where'd you learn to drive like that?" Miho asked Hailey why their bike driving skills was so bad.
"I didn't!" Hailey shouted.
"Didn't?" Miho asked.
"Learn to drive!" Hailey shouted that the bike skills were terrible.
"Well, you're so bad at it, you've confounded the enemy! Nicely done." Miho attempted to sneak a compliment despite how dire the situation was. The roar of the motorcycle was heard as Hailey gasped, Miho began to panic. "Keep confounding! Keep confounding!" Miho shouted. Momoga grunted as she attempted to steer for Hailey. "Now we need a performance from YOU, torpedo boy!" Miho told Momoga that she had brought the second violin case with them for a situation such as this. "Ah!" Miho told herself. She opened the violin case which contained all the parts to an M1921 Thompson Submachine gun, complete with a 50 round drum magazine.
"No no no no!" Momoga told Miho as the latter pulled her off the bike. Miho was too crazy for all of this as this had left her in a rather excited manner.
"Yes yes yes!" Miho told Momoga that she began handing out all the parts of the gun to Momoga.
"No no!" Momoga explained that she didn't like where this was going.
"Don't be modest!" Miho told Momoga that she needed to fire back and get the motorcycle to crash.
"I, I, I g- I, u I…" Momoga stuttered, she didn't know how to respond to that.
"Play us a symphony." Miho told Momoga to use their gun to play a song with fire. Kay fired her BAR at the group to try to get them shot up and pulled over.
"Holy simoleon!" Hailey shouted. Kay laughs as she continues firing at the group, a few paintballs hit the cooler as Miho realized that the cooler hadn't been properly closed.
"No!" Miho screamed as she went to the back to close up the cooler with her kerchief.
"What's going on back there?" Hailey asked Miho as the latter was still panicking.
"All right. What the-?" Kay asked when she spotted Miho at the rear.
"I guess this one is the bait." Alisa replied as she sped up the motorcycle to ram Miho with it. Miho meanwhile was trying to keep the liquor from spilling out of the cooler. The cooler opened as Miho slammed it shut.
"Oh no, stay with me!" Miho told the whiskey bottles. She looked to see the motorcycle getting closer and closer to them. Alisa was definitely going to ram her. But when Alisa got a foot to Miho, Momoga popped out with the Tommy gun she finished assembling and began firing a bunch of single shots at the motorcycle in maniacal laughter. The motorcycle lost control as Kay and Alisa dropped their heads to avoid the spray of paintballs being fired their way.
"Hoo." Alisa told them as she lifted her head to see the road ahead. She and Kay laughed, having the joy of their lives.
"Whoo!" Kay shouted before Alisa began coughing as part of the act.
"I think I swallowed a bug." Alisa told Kay that their pursuit had let a bug get caught in her throat.
"You got a big, fat bebette for dinner? No fair." Kay called out with a pout. Alisa coughed and spat out what was in her mouth.
"Naw. Just more glass." Alisa explained to Kay. They both end up laughing as Naomi wasn't amused by any of this.
"Profoundly unprofessional." Naomi commented on their recklessness.
"Well, they got more firepower than I expected. But you want to take over drivin' back there?" Alisa asked Naomi if she wished to take over.
"No. Especially now that you have alleviated us of our windshield." Naomi explained that the flurry of fire had destroyed them of their natural defenses. Kay turned her head to Naomi as she expected it to step up to the plate.
"Aw. You don't like how we play? How 'bout you stop spectatin' and throw in, Naomi? Or do we have to worry about you getting sentimental about old times?" Kay taunted Naomi that this was the way she wanted to play this game. Naomi drew her M1911 pistol from her uniform. Kay continued to laugh as Miho and her friends were still getting chased down and needed to think of a new plan.
"Now what? Now what?" Hailey asked if Miho had any good ideas left up her sleeve.
"Brakes!" Miho shouted to Hailey. Hailey braked as Kay with her motorcycle gang pulled up alongside them. Momoga smiled and sensed the opportunity.
"Gyaah ha ha!" Momoga laughed as she sprayed the Thompson on full auto, the shots flew everywhere as Kay, Alisa and Naomi had to duck their heads to avoid the paintballs. Momoga sprayed downward, popping one of the tires. The motorcycle crashed to the side as the Thompson dried clicked as Momoga had run out of ammo. Naomi got out, ready to make the shot to take out a tire in return. Miho needed to act fast to avoid Naomi's fire.
"Turn here! Make a left!" Miho shouted for Hailey to turn now. Hailey was confused about where she was going to turn.
"What? What turn?" Hailey asked, she was very confused by this and didn't know where to turn.
"Hang louie! Left Hook!" Miho shouted as she attempted to take the wheel which causes a bit of resistance between her and Hailey.
"Let go!" Hailey shouted at Miho as she tried to take control.
"Sinister! Port!" Miho shouted to Hailey.
"There's no left here!" Hailey shouted back at Miho. The clock was ticking as Naomi prepared herself for the shot.
"Use your imagination, Miss Mousefur!" Miho shouted at Hailey to try to think of a random left turn they could be using to do this with.
"Dang it! Firepaw! I can't steer!" Hailey shouted. Naomi knew she had a shot. Naomi fired her pistol at the group as this caused them to panic. The shot passed them as the bikes swerved to avoid getting hit. They then made a left as Naomi withdrew his pistol, better save ammo for later. "Whoa!" Hailey let out a warbling scream as she had lost control. They continued to drive before they entered a large clearing of stone. Miho smiled as the bikes crashed into one of the buildings.
Smash. Miho laughed maniacally as she began thinking of ways to cause mischief. She left the area to find something to begin her playtime.
"Oh, is it playtime now?" Hailey asked Miho as she decided to turn to Momoga. "Do you think we're safe?"
"Sorry! Sorry. I didn't mean to. It's just that there's a ho- a fire. A burning hot fire i- in, uh. In the eh c- engine compartment!" Momoga explained to Hailey that something was indeed very hot. Hailey got out to see what it was. She gasped and coughed when she realized where the description of what Momoga had said was.
"The radiator!" Hailey shouted before opening her electric bike's engine to find that the strain of the chase had nearly burned out the motor. Hailey grabbed some water and doused the engine but made sure not to short circuit the wires. She then ripped one of her sleeves off before applying it to the radiator. Hailey accidentally pressed her hand on the burning area as she inhaled sharply. "Hot hot hot!" Hailey told them as she tried to cool the radiator down enough to finish the journey home.
Kay Alisa and Naomi were waiting outside of the area where Miho and her friends had crashed into. They were getting ready to venture inside and find Miho and her friends. Miho meanwhile was still consumed in her unhinged laughter; throaty cackling as she explored the area she was in, trying to find tools to throw the enemy off balance. Miho found a door and went inside. She found the wood barricade locking the door from the inside before opening it. The board lets out an echoing thud as Miho throws a board onto the floor. The door creaked open as Miho wandered inside and found three light switches. Miho cackling to herself began to flip on the light switches one by one. The lights buzzed as they turned out. Kay and her friends had walked inside as the lights were now on. Miho wandered around as she spotted an unknown tank in the area. This wasn't part of the school's Sensha-Do team. Miho was excited.
"Ooooh! Oh, the world is full of magic things!" Miho told herself as she hugged this tank. "I just need a ticket to ride." Miho turned her head to spot a building called "Demolition" and she smirked, getting an idea. She began to flash back to a time of excitement and fireworks she had experienced not too long ago.
"Step right up! Get your tickets! Get your popcorn! Watch the world's most idiotic stuntman ride an elephant through a flaming gauntlet of-" The Carnival Barker would tell the group that they should be ready for ideas. Miho smiled deviously, ready to make her move. Meanwhile, Hailey had torn off all her sleeves to fix her bike while Momoga kept a lookout.
"Well, I'm nearly out of sleeves and ideas." Hailey expressed this to Momoga as there wasn't much more she could do. Miho was still laughing as she gathered what she was going to need. "The engine is still too hot! I don't even know if this-" Hailey expressed that she didn't know if she was going to be able to get them home. Momoga spotted Kay, Alisa and Naomi closing in, she had to buy Hailey more time to let the engine cool down.
"You said there was a pistol in here somewhere?" Momoga asked Hailey if they had any weapons somewhere.
"There's always one wedged in the seat." Hailey told Momoga that there was a spare if they needed one. Momoga pulled out a Henrard Vici Pocket Pistol she had hidden in her bike. Hailey inspected it. "Well, I guess that's a gun." They were interrupted as Kay fired her BAR rifle at them, trying to flush them out. Momoga shoved Hailey down to avoid the fire.
"Ah!" They both squealed, they didn't know what they were going to do, Momoga knew her idea was risky, but she had to get them off of Hailey's tail until she was able to start up the bikes again safely.
"I'll draw them away. You start the bike. Please." Momoga told Hailey that she was going to draw Kay's group away from Hailey and onto her. She didn't know how much time she was going to buy but with Miho nowhere to be seen, this was the only option. BAR fire continued to be heard as Kay began to reload. Naomi wasn't pleased with the lack of progress they were making.
"This is going to take longer if you scatter them." Naomi expressed to Kay that this was going to take forever assuming they were going to keep going at this rate.
"What happened to you that made you hate fun?" Kay asked Naomi if this was something she hated. Momoga spotted the group and had to take the shot. She pulled out her pistol and shot at the group. She missed as Momoga ran off to find somewhere to ambush Naomi.
"I'll take care of that. Disable the vehicle." Naomi told Kay and Alisa as she headed off to duel Naomi for the truck. Kay nodded as Naomi walked off. Hailey meanwhile got the bike's electric engine cooled off as she hopped back on. She tried her best to start it up. The engine struggled to start as Hailey tried her best to get the bike started.
"Raspberries!" Hailey told herself as the vehicle wouldn't start. She thought the engine needed to be wound up. She then went to the cart where the tools and the cooler were. She then found what she was looking for, the metal bar she can use to wind up the engine. "Aha!" Hailey told herself.
Momoga meanwhile was dueling it out with Naomi. She looked around to see where Naomi was or she headed off to. Naomi came up on the side of Momoga before raising her pistol and fired at Momoga. Momoga tumbled down and landed, firing off another shot at Naomi. She missed Naomi. Momoga got up and ran off to lure Naomi into another ambush. Naomi followed as Momoga was taking position in some steel rafters where she wanted to get another shot. Momoga spotted Naomi as the latter heard a click. Naomi turned her head to see Momoga as Momoga fired another shot at her. Naomi raised her pistol as Momoga ran off. Naomi then lowered it.
Hailey meanwhile was grunting, trying to get the engine started. She wound the engine up as someone began to walk into the door. Hailey looked to the shadows to see what it was, the silhouette of Kay appeared. Hailey began to panic as she ran for the door, looking for a way out. Alisa meanwhile was standing in the doorway.
"Hi." Alisa greeted Hailey.
"Ah!" Hailey shouted as several gunshots were heard as Hailey scurried to find somewhere to hide. Momoga heard the gunshots and spotted Alisa entering, trying to get access to Hailey.
"No. No no no no no! No!" Momoga gasped, she began to panic, firing off her pistol trying to get Alisa. Naomi meanwhile was counting the rounds that Momoga was firing off. She was bound to run out of ammo any second now.
"Four, five, six." Naomi counted to herself. Momoga felt the click of the gun as there was no more ammo inside of her pistol. She was dry once again. Naomi took herself from behind cover and fired at Momoga, the paintball grazing the side of Momoga's forehead calling her to fall down.
"Agh!" Momoga growled. That must've hurt. Hailey meanwhile had taken shelter under the cart as her muffled cries were drawing the attention of a laughing Alisa and Kay.
"Bonsoir, mes amis." Kay told Hailey in a giggling manner as she lowered her BAR down into the space Hailey was hiding in, ready to shoot her. However she was interrupted by a rumbling sound that was coming. Momoga tried her best to recover as Naomi looked down on her. She had her pistol ready to shoot Momoga when an explosion took them off guard. Dust filled the area as Miho had come to their rescue. Miho was laughing like a maniac as the tank rolled on through, Another explosion went off with Miho continuing her laughter. Alisa and Kay headed outside to investigate what this was.
"What the hell is this?" Alisa asked as she could barely contain her laughter. Kay began to think of an answer for her friend.
"Child, that's eleven kinds of stupid!" Kay replied as another explosion went off.
"The sudden circus comes to town!" Miho began before she cackled loudly. She dropped the lit firecracker she had in her hand to the ground as it then exploded. Miho grabbed another one and lit the fuse. "The behemoth and the top-hat clown." Miho told the crowd before tossing the firecracker at Kay's direction. Another explosion was heard as that firecracker exploded. Miho grabbed another Firecracker and lit the fuse. "Come gather, gather all around." Miho shouted as a gunshot was heard. Kay was attempting to shoot at Miho's tank. "See them rain their fire down!" Miho shouted as she tossed multiple lit firecrackers down. Several explosions went off as Miho continued her laughter. Kay continued firing her BAR at Miho as a firecracker landed near her feet.
"Kay!" Alisa shouted before she shoved Kay out of the firecracker's way. The firecracker exploded as Alisa had saved her friend's life. Momoga arrived, coughing up dust as she found Hailey hidden under the trailer before she decided to pull her out from the cover. Hailey was relieved that it was Momoga that came to her rescue.
"What's happening?" Hailey asked Momoga if she had any ideas.
"Miho." Momoga replied. Miho's tank came forward as she continued her maniacal laughter.
"Ahh! You can brandish up your whip and chair," Miho began. Another explosion went off near Naomi, she wanted to duel Miho to figure out what was happening. "but the circus train's a blazin' tear!" Miho continued speaking as another explosion occurred near Naomi. "Said the clown with daring air, "We'll make our three rings anywhere!"" Miho shouted as she tossed the lit firecracker carelessly. The firecracker bounced off of the metal beam and into the basket where the unlit firecrackers were. Miho realized her mistake and hopped off of her tank. "Whoop!" Miho landed in the dirt as she coughed and spat out the dirt. There was a loud clang of metal as the tank's metal screeched under the water tower. Miho tried her best to avoid getting crushed beneath the treads of the tank. The tank managed to stop itself under the water tower. Miho realized this and attempted to flee from the situation thinking it was going to blow itself apart. After a moment of silence, the firecrackers exploded, thus destroying the water tower. Gallons of water gushed down as Hailey and Momoga hid to avoid the flood. Kay and Alisa were swept up and Naomi went over to duck somewhere safe. The flood was over the moment it began which left the area dripping. The take had been partially damaged due to Miho's antics and was now laying on its side. Hailey and Momoga started the bikes up and drove their way out of there. They spotted Miho on the side and decided to pick her up.
"Miho!" Momoga shouted to her friend. She wanted her to get on the bike.
"Come on, mudbug! Ohhh. We got to skedaddle!" Hailey told Miho that they needed to get back to the area and deliver the Whiskey. Naomi popped from the side and aimed her pistol at them. Hailey was worried that Naomi had another chance of taking the shot. After a couple of moments, Naomi lowered her pistol. This wasn't worth it, at all. Naomi sighed at this revelation. Miho turned to Hailey as they left the area. She was panting from the insanity she had caused.
"Oh, are my eyebrows still on?" Miho asked, thinking she might have lost those in the craziness she had caused.
"Uhh, yep." Hailey replied that Miho had her eyebrows. Miho smiled as this was a personal victory for her.
"Aces!" Miho replied. She turned to Momoga as she had a present for her. "Here, Momoga. I got you a souvenir." Miho told Momoga as she handed her a firecracker. Momoga screamed before tossing the firecracker out of the bike and onto the trail. "You're supposed to light it first." Alisa pulled Kay from the rubble as they were having fun too.
"Hoo." Alisa began as she and Kay began laughing.
"Alisa!" Kay called out before she coughed. "Sister of mine, help me up." Alisa pulled Kay up as Naomi looked on with the look of disappointment.
"Naomi, you look disappointed." Alisa explained to Naomi. Naomi growled; she didn't like her situation regarding how the entire thing was handled.
The sign for Rowan's cabin creaked as it was called "Rowan's Corner." Rowan's cabin was rather large given how modest these girls had it. It was still a mostly six room cabin, her bed, bathroom, living room, Kitchen, recording room and office room were located in it. Rowan was mostly downstairs as it was Akebi that was in the upstairs area, she was reading a newspaper regarding what had happened.
""And though scrutinized and scandalized and troubled in the end by depleted finances-" Hm. Familiar story. "-Mr Rowan's father leaves behind, moreover, a legacy of consummate artistry and bold innovation." Done in by a scarf. The comic end that makes the tragedy, doesn't it? Speaking of tragedy, we got an old supplier back. The funeral home. Still, it's not the same without you. And that feeling that all of this was ours." Akebi would let out a sigh. "Used to be we could drive a whole convoy of trucks in." Akebi told herself as she was attempting to learn more about Rowan's past. Then she opened the window wondering about the truck loads but instead she heard a horrible scraping noise as two bikes pedaled their way to the cabin. "Now we're just digging for scraps. Well, however unbecoming, Rowan, that's my cue. Meet you downstairs."
Akebi walked down the stairs to the basement which was Rowan's private club that she had invited everyone over on certain nights. Akebi approached the entrance to see Azusa by the door entrance.
"Hello there Akebi Sasaki, how can I help you?" Azusa asked Akebi if she needed any form of help.
"Azusa. The door, sweetheart." Akebi calmly told Azusa to open the door. Azusa remembered.
"Oh! Right." Azusa told Akebi as she opened the door for her. Akebi sighed as she entered the room. The basement was one large room, complete with a small bar, a pool table, a poker table, a stage for music and tables around the area for the people to relax. By the looks of things this was done collectively as everyone had pitched in to make this their hang out spot. If Addisyn could have a fancy bath house, surely they can have a bar? Akebi was joined by Nekota, Rowan and Yuuki as Rowan was the running bartender. Everyone else was sitting around the club, they were bored and just drinking their drinks. Tanya and Nina were playing pool while the rest of Rabbit team and Brook were in a game of cards.
"How's the weather, madam?" Nekota began as she had been drinking for the past few minutes. Akebi sighed before Nekota continued speaking. "Ah, right. The difficult business of, uh, business."
"You could certainly be of some help." Akebi explained to Nekota that she could be some use to her. Nekota paused before putting her glass down.
"Except I'm supposed to be a pillar of the community. Baron of the industry. Upstanding citizen, you know?" Nekota joked about her position, she was none of these things only making them up to suit her.
"She said, bent over his illicit beverage." Yuuki explained to Akebi even though she didn't take much as of yet.
"Oh, thank goodness. I wasn't sure you were alive." Nekota expressed to Yuuki that she had her head down and wasn't enjoying any of the drinking.
"Yuuki! Shouldn't you be up on stage playing?" Akebi asked if Yuuki was a good instrument player, should she go on stage to perform for the crowd.
"Pft. For who? That guy? How about you, Nekonya? Shall I serenade you personally?" Yuuki asked Nekota if she should go on stage and perform.
"Uhh. Once I've had a few more illicit beverages, perhaps." Nekota replied that she should have a few more drinks, and then pass out from hearing the music.
"I suppose I could use one of those, too." Akebi replied to Nekota's saying. She could use a drink too. "Rowan?" Akebi asked. Rowan was busy polishing a glass as she heard her name. "Rowan, I know it's an adjustment, but the bartender's got to look like someone the patronage can tell their troubles to." Akebi explained. Rowan placed the glass down, almost shattering it as she didn't want to be talked to. Akebi knew she had to change her tactics to get Rowan to talk to her. "More of a confidante. Less of a… coroner. Try smiling, honey." Akebi told Rowan. Rowan growled at the order. Akebi sighed and face palmed herself. "We'll work on it." Then the doors opened as Miho entered with Momoga and Hailey carrying the cooler. She had the announcement to make.
"Bum bada dum bada bum bum bum!" Miho called out with excitement.
"Hello." Momoga told the crowd. Miho hugged her partners that helped her out.
"We made it, everyone!" Miho called out.
"I drove the car!" Hailey called out with excitement. Momoga cowered down before she apologized.
"Sorry." Momoga began the apology.
"We made it!" Miho shouted.
"About the carpet." Momoga apologized about the carpet. A sad trombone played in the background as someone wanted to make this a moment to ruin the fun.
"Saki!" Yuuki shouted at her to not bring down the moment.
"Sorry." Saki apologized thinking this was something she should have not done.
"Well, look what the Mississippi spat up." Akebi began as Miho opened the crate containing the whiskey.
"Akebi, you seem, uh... surprised." Miho spoke as she got out several bottles of it.
"Miho, sweetie, you are nothing if not an exhausting, incomprehensible…" Akebi began, she took one of the whiskey bottles and popped the cork off of it. "...surprise."
"Thank you!" Miho told Akebi with excitement that she was more than thankful for bringing this stuff to her.
"This was supposed to be the real Maple flavor. Let's see if that's the surprise." Akebi told the group that this better be worth it. Five glasses were put out in front of them as Akebi poured the whiskey into the glasses. After putting the bottle down. Everyone took glasses with Akebi trying it out. Akebi put the glass to her lips and began to drink. She got a good taste before Her eyes widened. It tasted horrible. Akebi swallowed it before her eyes stayed wide, it tasted even worse going down her throat. Akebi shuttered before she began speaking.
"Well," Akebi began before she clears her throat. "it'll certainly start your engine." Akebi told the group as she described the taste.
"Which is to say," Yuuki began before she clears her throat. "it beats radiator fluid."
"What's that aftertaste? Hm. Crisp, full-bodied, um, reminiscent of oak wood…" Nekota began as she tried to describe the taste of this whiskey, it tasted like the crate that Rowan stored the bottles of Whiskey in. She snapped her fingers after figuring out the answer. "Coffin varnish!"
"Yeah. We can call it, eh, "Sunset Rose Cocktail."" Rowan told them that this could make a good cocktail, might as well figure out the recipe to dilute the awful taste of the whiskey. Only Nekota seemed to enjoy drinking Rowan's whiskey straight.
"Sunset Rose Cocktail? That sounds good!" Hailey told Rowan that will be a good way of naming it. Hailey tried to take a glass of the alcohol. Rowan growled thinking this was something she wasn't fond of. Hailey knew she had to reason with Rowan. "Psh! You have no idea what I went through to get this."
"I have very good an idea." Rowan told Hailey as she handed her the glass filled with the alcohol. Hailey takes it as she takes a sip. Her eyes widened too before she turned her head and spits the whiskey out, coughing.
"Mmm!" Hailey began as she petted her hair. "Sophisticated flavor." Hailey tried her best to describe the flavor. Hailey then showed the glass to Momoga wondering if she wanted to try some. Momoga backed away, not wanting to try some.
"So. Not bad, then?" Miho asked if this Whiskey was… alright.
"Koľko to stojí?" Rowan began.
"Yeah. I've had worse." Yuuki admitted that she had drinks that were worse than this.
"Rustic Charm." Nekota described how she seemed to have a positive opinion of the Whiskey.
"Better than getting shot." Akebi told Miho that it wasn't bad before turning to Miho. "Still, is this all we got for our money, honey? You look like you took a bath in the rest." Akebi asked Miho if she took a bath in the Whiskey and this was all she was able to bring her.
"Well, I could probably wring some more out of my coat for you." Miho playfully joked to Akebi as she continued to speak. "There was a minor incident? Incidences." Akebi signed to the Incidents.
"The likes of what?" Akebi asked Miho what incidents she was talking about.
"Oh, just some spent ammo and-" Miho began with the list before Momoga added to the list.
"Desecrated graves." Momoga told them.
"Fractured signage, minor flooding, lots of structural damage." Hailey added that they had destroyed a small portion of the school to get this home.
"Uh, we may have fomented a deadly rivalry on the way, too. But dynamite and heavy machinery are marvelous problem-solvers." Miho rounded off the list that they had gotten into a fight and ended up blowing up everything. Miho then slapped Nekota on the back. "Eh, old-sport?"
"Dynamite? What dynamite?" Nekota spluttered to Miho, she was curious of any explosives that were involved. Miho ignored her as she decided to speak to her.
"And the car is fine." Miho told them all.
"I fixed it!" Hailey announced with excitement. The electric bike was anything but fine as it quickly fell apart and started a small fire that thankfully didn't touch any wood or foliage.
"Also, you'll be happy to know my violin came through unscathed." Miho joked as she held out Hailey's violin. Then one of the strings snapped as it couldn't take the stress. Saki started playing Taps with the trombone. Akebi looked at Miho as she seemed to be happy for at least something.
"I know you did your best, honey, but we can't keep running ourselves ragged and into the red to bring a meager…" Akebi again as Saki's music got louder. "W- what I mean is, ah, I don't see how this, uh…" Akebi was having a hard time concentrating with Saki's music in the background.
"Saki!" Everyone shouted to her. Akebi turned back to Miho before she began speaking again.
"You know what? I'm glad you and your violin are back, honey. We could all use some music about now. I mean, besides Saki." Akebi told Miho that she needed something to make this night more enjoyable.
"All right, all right." Yuuki began as she looked at the violin, maybe she can fix it so they could play it. "Come on, kid. What do you say we do to lighten the mood?" Yuuki asked Miho. Nekota tried to pull Miho over as she had a question for her.
"Uh, about the dynamite…?" Nekota tried to ask Miho about the Dynamite that she might have done. Yuuki hummed to the tune of Blue Skies. "...and the machinery. Can you elaborate?" Nekota asked for some information on what happened to cause such a mess.
"Ms. Nekota." Miho told Nekota before walking away. No use in getting any information regarding the entire incident.
"Eh, right. Cheers." Nekota told Miho before relaxing in her chair. Hailey turned to Momoga as she wanted to do something with her.
"Come on! You owe me a dance." Hailey told Momoga.
"Something in 4/4, Mozzie." Yuuki told the crew as she tried to fix Hailey's violin.
"I do?" Momoga asked Hailey.
"Yes! I've decided. You know the Charleston?" Hailey asked Momoga as she dragged her off.
"No." Momoga replied.
"The Lindy Hop?" Hailey asked.
"No." Momoga told Hailey that she didn't know about that either.
"The Roundabout? The Jingle Jangle? The Hoopty Noodle?" Hailey asked to list off the dances she knew about. Momoga didn't know any of these dances.
"I have a head injury." Momoga told Hailey that she knew none of these dances. Nekota realizes that her quarry has most likely been annihilated, while Rowan angrily claws on the bar counter. She found Hailey to be rather annoying but at least she has company. Akebi patted Rowan to tell her that it was okay and Nekota wanted another drink from Rowan.
"I'll show you. You just gotta put one foot over there and one over there. And then swing a foot over here. And keep it like that." Hailey described the dance to Momoga and how to do it. Akebi watched from a distance as she thought that this was going to be a sweet night, the place was becoming more lively as Noriko sat down next to her after finishing a conversation with Addisyn.
Yuuki was playing the violin with Momoga and Hailey in a dance. The other students were part of the band and filled the basement with music that they were going to enjoy all night. Aside from the run in with Kay, they didn't know what was going to happen next especially with Miho and Tomori, this was most likely the one chance for a break she was going to get. Ayami was going to expect more from her and she knew she needed to give more to her friend.
Miho's small break was the ticket she needed to lead the team forward.
[A/N]: Sorry for not putting out a chapter in so long, my brain was fried, FFN was down but is now fixed and I was working on another fanfiction which I hope to complete. Hopefully this story starts raking in more views now I'm trying to get back into writing, this chapter is longer than the others and it should make up the absence I've been doing. See you later. Goodbye.
