Chapter 1: New Friend, New Girlfriend, Many New Problems
Hey everyone I'm back with a new story. Now this story I used characters from multiple high school based anime. Including Haganai, My First Girlfriend is a Gal and We Never Learn. I've been wanting to do a Megaman story for a while and if any of you have any ideas for original FM-Ians I'm open to ideas. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
The world of technology has totally transformed. And before you ask no I don't mean like super high-tech with robots that do everything we ask.
The world is networked through electromagnetic waves allowing everyone in the world to communicate with each other. And it's because of 3 Special Satellites that this feat is possible. Named after the constellations the satellites: Pegasus, Leo and Dragon.
The Electromagnetic waves or EM waves aren't visible to the naked eye but they're used to connect all electronic items to the satellites.
Because of this special Smart Watches became the popular item. Allowing us to call, message, play games and tons of other cool things that allowed people to fully utilize the EM waves. They even have to make a special police branch in order to deal with all EM problems.
In front of a house, we see a woman with short brown hair in a bob cut and a pair of green visualizers around her neck saying goodbye to her family. This was Asuka Tanaka.
"Alright, Hikaru you be a good boy for your father while I'm away." Asuka said hugging a boy around 12 years old. He had medium brown hair and black eyes. This was Hikaru Tanaka.
"I will mom." Hikaru said as her husband Kaito walked over.
"Hey don't worry, I'll have him help out at the café and time will just fly by." Kaito chuckles.
"Be careful mom." Hikaru said.
"I will sweetie. And before I go I have something I want to give you." Reaching into her pocket, Asuka pulls out a gold star pendant.
"Wow." Hikaru said putting it around his neck.
"That looks pretty good on you." Kaito chuckles.
"Now whenever you wear that you'll think of me while I'm up in space." Asuka smiles.
"I don't need a necklace to think of you mom." Hikaru said.
"A mother always knows what her son might need. I'll be back before you two know it." Asuka said as her husband and son gave a big hug goodbye.
Little did they know, this would be the last time they ever saw her.
5 years had past since the day Asuka Tanaka went up into space and never returned. No one knows what happened but the Space Station was met with an unknown accident and everyone inside the station just vanished without a trace.
In his room, Hikaru slowly woke up to the sound of his alarm.
Groaning he slowly got out of bed to reveal the young boy was now a teenager.
Grabbing a school uniform we see Hikaru wearing a black jacket zipped open with a purple t-shirt under it, black pants and shoes.
Making his way to the door, he grabs his Smart Watch and puts it on. On the counter, he sees the necklace his mom gave him.
Sighing he puts it around his neck before walking out.
"Morning dad." Hikaru calls out making his way to the kitchen. "I'm gonna be out late tonight. So don't wait up for me."
"Hikaru hold up. We have a guest today." Kaito calls out.
Confused, Hikaru walks to the table to see his father talking to a large man with spiky brown hair, a dark blue company jacket with a matching hat and brown pants. This was Amachi Mamoru
"Uh hi there?" Hikaru said getting his attention.
"Whoa. Look at you. You're all grown up." Amachi smiles.
"Yeah that's what happens to you after 5 years." Hikaru points out making him chuckle.
"It has been a while. I don't know if you remember me? Amachi? I used to work with your mom." Amachi clarifies.
"No I remember. You're also the one who told us that day." Hikaru reminds.
"Hikaru that's not nice." Kaito said.
"Sorry." Hikaru mumbles.
"No. No. It's okay. It's right to still be sad over what happened. I get it. I was crushed too when I found out." Amachi defends.
"So why are you here?" Hikaru asks.
"Well I recently quit the Space Program. Gonna be working at the local Science Facility. Got my own lab just outside the city. And when I was clearing out all my stuff, I found these. We had done an investigation of the Space Station last year and this was in one of the boxes." Reaching into his pocket, Amachi pulls out Asuka's visualizers.
"Mom's visulaizers." Hikaru gasps.
"I insisted that this be given back to you two. Seeing how much Asuka meant to you both." Amachi said.
"Thank you." Kaito said taking them.
Looking at them, Kaito turns to his son and holds them out for him.
"Dad?" Hikaru said surprised.
"I think you need these more than me. Besides your mom always knew how much you loved these." Kaito smiles.
"Thanks dad." Taking them, Hikaru clips them to the collar of his shirt.
"Well you get ready for school. I need to go get the café ready for the day." Kaito said getting up.
"I should probably take my leave too. See you around Hikaru." Amachi waves goodbye.
"Yeah." Hikaru nods.
"Come on I'll walk you out." Kaito said as he and Amachi walk out the door.
"So uh how's the kid doing?" Aaron asks and immediately sighs.
"He's getting by but honestly, I worry about him. He may look stable but this is tough for him. If it wasn't for his friends or the café he'd be a miserable zombie." Kaito frowns.
"He's a teenage boy, he's just at that time. Maybe once he gets a girlfriend he'll do much better." Amachi said making him smirk.
"You sound like Asuka. She always wanted him to meet some nice girls." Kaito chuckles.
"Girls?" Amachi raised an eyebrow.
"It might have just been her but Asuka always believed Hikaru would be a lady's man growing up." Kaito smriks.
"Maybe he will. He just needs to find the right girl. One that can help push him out of this phase and help him." Aaron said before remembering something. "Hey uh he said he was going out late today what did that mean?"
Sighing Kaito knew what his son meant. "Every year on this day he goes out to look at the stars. Just like what he and Asuka used to do."
"Guess it's his way of keeping her close." Amachi sighs. "Well nice catching up and tell Hikaru if he ever feels up to it to stop by my lab."
"I will." Kaito said as they went their separate ways.
On the way to school, Hikaru was making a purchase on his watch.
"Come give me some good ones." Hikaru said as he received a new Battlecard pack. "Hmm not bad."
Battlecard was an online collectable card app. And it was one of Hikaru's favorite games. For some reason he just loved the design.
"Hey yo!" A cheerful voice said clapping him on the back making him stumble forward.
As the visualizers flew off his shirt, Hikaru yelps stumbling to catch them only for them to land in someone else's hands.
Turning around Hikaru saw a girl with red hair, tan skin the female uniform of his school but with the blazer tied around her waist. This was Uruka Takemoto.
"Morning." She smiles.
"Hey Uruka." Hikaru said.
"Hey why the long face? Listen I need a favor." She said.
"You need to copy my homework again." Hikaru deadpans.
"What? Uh no why would you even think that." Uruka denies.
"Don't listen to her Hikaru! She tried the same thing with me this morning!" A voice calls out.
Stumbling over a boy with black hair, their school uniform and glasses panted heavily trying to catch up with them. This was Yuiga Nariyuki.
"Oh Yuiga you uh managed to catch up with me." Uruka gulps.
"Did you spend all of yesterday training at the pool, again?" Hikaru asks.
"So what? It's much better than homework." She pouts.
"We talked about this. If you want to go to a Sports College you need to be able to do the work. Hikaru back me up here." Yuiga said.
"Hikaru don't you think he puts to much emphasis on studies?" Uruka asks.
Cringing Hikaru knew they were both right but wasn't sure what to say.
As he stepped back he noticed he was missing something.
"Wait hold on. Where'd they go?" Hikaru asks looking at the ground.
"Where'd what go?" They both asks confused.
"Please just look around for what looks like a pair of green sunglasses." Hikaru said worried.
"Sunglasses?" A male voice said.
Looking up they saw a male student in their uniform with blonde hair and dark tips that gave off a thug-like appearance. This was Kodaka Hasegawa.
"You mean these?" He smiles holding them out in his hands revealing him to be the one who caught them.
"Oh man you are a lifesaver." Hikaru smiles.
"Never thought you were a shades kind of guy." Kodaka said handing them back to him.
"I just got them today, these uh these were my mom's." Hikaru admits surprising them.
"Oh well you better keep a close watch on those things then." Kodoka suggests.
"Yeah maybe get a case." Nariyuki said.
"It's fine guys really. I just don't want to lose it after just getting it." Looking at the lens for a brief moment Hikaru saw something shine before clipping it back to his shirt.
Frowning the three of them knew how hard it was for him with his mom and it was from losing his mom that he even became friends with all of them.
When Hikaru became known as the kid whose mom went up into space and disappeared it was not easy for him.
Because of that, his grades took a big drop but it was because of that Nariyuki was asked to help tutor him and Uruka had to help him with his swim class requirements.
Kodaka however was an interesting surprise. Since everyone assumed he was a thug kid based on his appearance everyone stayed clear of him but when he saw Hikaru going through the same thing because of his mom the two ended up becoming pretty good friends and soon Hikaru introduced him to his other friends.
At their high school, Hikaru made his way to his desk when he overheard some boys talking as they looked out the window.
"Oh man Yukana is smoking hot."
"I know right. And check out Ranko."
Slowly glancing out the window to see what they meant Hikaru saw two hot girls walking towards the building.
One was a girl with blonde hair and tan skin and the other girl was a girl with strawberry blonde hair tied with a pink scrunchie, the school jacket tied around her waist and has a few buttons undone on her uniform. These were Ranko Honjo and Yukana Yame. Some of the most popular girls in school.
"Man I can't believe one of them is in our class." A boy said.
As Hikaru rolls his eyes at this, he noticed the girls looking up at the window and glaring at the boys.
"Oh no they saw us!" They panicked before running back to their seats.
"Disgusting." Yukana glares before walking in.
"Those boys don't have any brains at all. I swear." Ranko smirks.
This school was full of interesting students, but Hikaru never really branched outside his comfort zone. He kept to his friends but, besides that not much else.
As the class started, Hikaru saw Nariyuki sitting next to him.
"So you get the homework done?" Hikaru asks.
"Always." He said.
"Mind meeting later, I wanna check my math answers?" Hikaru asks.
"Nice to know you actually do the work." He smirks.
"I'm not Uruka." Hikaru said as Yukana walked in. Glancing up at her, he saw her sit down opposite of him.
Sure she was beautiful but Hikaru never would try what those pervs would.
That night, Hikaru was laying down in the grass looking up at the night sky.
Taking out the visualizers, Hikaru lies down in the grass.
"Hey mom it's me. Today your old work colleague Amachi came by today and he gave me your old visualizers. I remember how you never went anywhere without these. I never understood why they were so special though." Hikaru said before sighing. "It's been 5 years Mom and still no answers…what happened? Where are you?"
Slowly reaching up, Hikaru puts the visualizers over his eyes and instantly gasps in amazement.
He was able to see the city but he also saw so much more.
Looking around in awe, he could see all the EM waves all over the city and even up high into the sky that led to who knows where.
"Whoa so this is why she loved these things." Hikaru said in awe.
Suddenly Hikaru's smartwatch beeped meaning he got a message.
"What in the? Wait…this is mom's number." Hikaru gasps when suddenly a bright light shot down out of the sky and engulfed him.
"Hey you okay?" A male voice asks.
"Ugh did you get the license number on that truck?" Hikaru groans.
Slowly opening his eyes Hikaru saw a blue figure, as he got more of his vision back he saw the figure was a blue creature with green energy surrounding his body. This was Omega Xis.
Letting out a loud scream, Hikaru falls back in fear.
"What the heck are you?!" Hikaru panics.
"Hey inside voice. I'm literally right here." He said before realizing something. "Wait you can see me? Huh? Most humans can't."
"What are you? Some kind of monster? And why are there roads in the sky?" Looking around in fear, Hikaru takes the visualizers off and it all instantly disappeared. "Oh thank god." But when he put it on Omega Xis was right in front of him, scaring him again.
"Will you stop doing that? It's getting annoying." Omega Xis said.
"Who are you?" Hikaru asks.
"My name is Omega Xis and I'm from the Planet FM. When I zapped you I must have activated a hidden ability in your glasses so you can see me like this." He explains.
"So…you're an alien?" Hikaru asks.
"I guess but to me you people are the aliens. The world above you is the EM world. Everything you humans use that's electrical is connected up there. You catching on Hikaru Tanaka?" Omega Xis asks surprising him.
"How do you know my name?" Hikaru asks.
"I heard it once from a human I met in space." Omega Xis said.
"Human? Wait. Did you meet my mom?" Hikaru asks.
Before he could answer the sounds of police sirens went off.
Confused Hikaru turns around and lifted up the visualizers to see a cop car pull up in front of him.
"Hey you!" Stepping out of the car we see a police officer with black hair, a green trench coat over his suit and tie, and he had an antenna on his head. This was Detective Heiji Goyoda.
Before anyone noticed a light engulfed Hikaru's smartwatch.
"Is there a problem officer?" Hikaru asks.
"What are you doing out here? We detected a large burst of EM energy from this spot." Goyoda asks.
"I always come to this spot. This is where I go to look at the stars." Hikaru said.
"Star gazing? Aren't you a little old for that?" Goyoda asks.
"Look I don't know what you're looking for but I just got here. I don't know what you're talking about." Hikaru said.
"Hmm." Looking at his smart watch, Detective Goyoda saw the anomalies were suddenly gone. "Alright, kid I'll let you off the hook this time but get back home I know for a fact that it's a school night."
"Alright." As Hikaru walked past him the detective narrowed his eyes.
Arriving back home, Hikaru went to his room.
"What the heck was all that?" Putting the visualizers back on Hikaru sees Omega Xis in his room startling him again.
"Will you please stop doing that?" Omega Xis asks.
"How did you get in my room? What happened back there?" Hikaru asks.
"When that suspicious human showed up I decided it would best to hide fortunately that device on your wrist was just what I needed." Omega Xis points.
"You hid in my smartwatch? Hmm alien in a watch sounds like a tv show." Hikaru mutters.
"If another earthling had come across me it would have caused a panic and I didn't want that." Omega Xis said.
"I guess that makes sense." Hikaru admits.
"I think for the time being it's best I hide out here. You can't tell anyone about my existence in the meantime." Omega Xis said.
"But what about my friends or my dad?" Hikaru asks.
"For the time being this is our little secret." Omega Xis said.
"Alright fine." Hikaru said admitting defeat. "I can't believe I'm actually talking to an alien and all this EM stuff. If my mom was here she would freak out. She always loved all this stuff and that's why she was so excited to go up into space."
"Just as I thought, you're Asuka Tanaka's son." Omega Xis said shocking him
"You knew my Mom?" Hikaru gasps.
"I did, you have the same frequency as her that's how I was able to find you." Omega Xis nods.
"You have to tell me! Were you there when at mom's space station?! Is my mom alive?! Tell me everything you know!" Hikaru said frantically.
"I knew she was doing research on the space station and that when I observed her she would talk about you almost all the time." Omega Xis said.
"That's it? Please you have to know more." Hikaru said.
"I'm sorry but I'm exhausted from my travels and I need to rest." Glowing Omega Xis went back into his Smart Watch.
Taking off his visualizers Hikaru sighs.
"I've waited 5 years I guess I'll have to wait a little longer." Hikaru said.
Putting them down on his bedside table, Hikaru went to bed.
The next day, we find ourselves walking to school.
"So wait where are we going?" Omega Xis asks.
"We're going to school. It's where I go almost every day." Hikaru said.
"School? What's that?" Omega Xis asks.
"It's where me and other humans like me go to learn." Hikaru said.
"Hmm okay, that doesn't sound so bad." Omega Xis said.
"But keep your talking to a minimum okay? If people see me talking into my watch all the time they're gonna think I'm weird." Hikaru said.
Looking up he saw a mother and child looking at him with weird expressions.
"Uh new voice recording app. Great for taking notes." Hikaru chuckles nervously.
Making his way to the classroom, Hikaru sat down.
"Alright remember what we talked about. No talking." Hikaru whispers into his watch.
"Not a problem." Omega Xis said when Hikaru heard a knocking noise snapping him out of it.
"Whoa take it easy." Looking up he saw Kodaka tapping on his desk.
"Oh hey Kodaka." Hikaru said.
"You alright man I called out to you this morning and you didn't respond." Kodaka asks.
"Sorry uh guess I zoned out. I had a long night yesterday." Hikaru said.
"Well hopefully you can snap out of it." Kodaka said.
"Yeah me too." Hikaru said.
"By the way can I still count on you to help watch my sister this weekend?" Kodaka asks.
"Oh absolutely no trouble at all." Hikaru said.
"You're the best." Kodaka said before walking to his seat.
"That human was weird. I felt like he was gonna punch you." Omega Xis said.
"Hey that's my friend you're talking about. He may look mean but he's actually a cool guy." Hikaru glares.
"You're actually close to that guy? Humans make such weird choices for companionship." Omega Xis said.
Smirking Hikaru realized Omega Xis just insulted himself with that one.
As the bell rang classes soon began.
"This is getting boring." Omega Xis said.
"I said be quiet." Hikaru whispers before banging the watch on the desk but that hurt him almost as much as Omega Xis. 'Okay bad idea.' Hikaru cringed.
Throughout the day Omega-Xis constantly complained of how bored he was.
In Math class, English, Literature, and even during lunch. And it was taking all of Hikaru's efforts to keep him under control, but needless to say, this was getting him many weird looks.
Finally, we were in Science class, as the teacher was writing on the board Omega Xis was at his limit.
"This is the most boring thing in the history of boring! How do you put with this boring garbage day after day?!" Omega Xis said as Hikaru covers his watch to silence him.
"Shut up." Hikaru mutters.
"You got something to say?" The teacher glares as the whole class stared at him.
"Uh no sir. Sorry about that ma'am." Hikaru apologized.
Narrowing her eyes the teacher went back to the board.
As Hikaru sat down several people were watching him and muttering to themselves.
'What is with him?' Yukana thought seeing the weird look on Hikaru's face.
After school, Hikaru waited for a while before he stopped near the shoe lockers at the front, Hikaru was trying to mute his Smart Watch and silence Omega Xis.
"Hey what are you doing? Cut it out." Omega Xis said.
"Shut up. You've tormented me enough for one day." Hikaru said putting his hand against one locker causing the door to open revealing female shoes.
"What have I done that's so horrible?" Omega Xis asks.
"Listen I don't know how you do things where you're from but here on Earth you need to keep a low profile. Meaning while I'm in class you can't just whine about everything. If people hear you they're gonna get suspicious." Hikaru said.
"It's not my fault School is the most boring place in existence." Omega Xis said.
"What did you expect? It's not supposed to be entertaining. At school, I sit down, listen to the teacher, learn, and I can hang out with my friends. But I can't do any of that if you keep whining." Hikaru said.
"It's amazing you have any friends at all you sound so boring." Omega Xis mutters.
"Shut up." Hikaru snaps.
"Look you and I clearly need to figure something out if we're gonna make this work." Omega Xis said.
"Make what work? I have no idea what you're talking about. I have things I need to do and if you keep meddling who knows what's gonna happen to you or me?" Hikaru asks when he noticed the shoe locker.
As he reached out to close it a figure walks out.
"What are you doing in front of my locker?" A female voice calls out making Hikaru freeze.
Turning around he sees Yukana standing across from him.
"Uh…" Hikaru gulps.
"Were trying to steal my shoes? You some kind of foot perv or something?" Yukana glares.
"What not I uh?" Stuttering Hikaru tries to figure out how to avoid this. "Well I was originally going to put something inside it."
"Inside it? Wait were you gonna put a letter in there? People still do that?" Yukana asks.
"Uh well…" Before Hikaru could respond, Yukana leads him out back to get to the bottom of this.
"What's with you? You've been acting weird around school all day. If you got something to say then spit it out." Yukana said.
Pausing there was no way Hikaru could tell her what really is going on.
"I uh just wanted you to notice me." Hikaru said.
"Me?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Yukana would you like to…go out with me?" Hikaru asks.
"Whoa." Omega-Xis mutters impressed before Hikaru dunked his hand in his pocket to shut him up.
"Seriously?" Yukana glares.
'She's probably gonna say no, it's gonna be so humiliating but at least if I do this I can walk away from this mess.' Hikaru thought.
"Why the hell are you wasting my time like this? I mean you're not a total letdown there are some parts of you that are cute but you and I barely even know each other what did you think I was gonna say?" Yukana asks.
"I know it just came out." Hikaru said looking away. "Look I know you're probably way out of my league but I took a chance."
"Oh really and what about me made you want to take a chance? Is it because I'm hot? You're just one of those boys who want to date me because you think I'm hot and easy aren't you?" Yukana accuses.
"No, nothing like that." Hikaru said quickly.
"Just so you know when it comes to guys I'm very careful about who I date." Yukana points out.
"Good for you." Hikaru said as she leans in so her face was inches from his.
"So what's your story? Do you really like me? I mean like like me? Or do you just think that by asking me out I'll make you popular? Or maybe you're just interested in me because of my body?" Yukana asks leaning so her breasts were nearing his body.
"Well I'd be lying if I didn't say you were very pretty." Hikaru blushes.
"So you were interested in my looks." Yukana smirks.
"Look I'm not some perv okay. I'm not gonna ask you to do weird things or try use you like that. I just thought that if I tried my luck and asked you out I would have a small glimmer of a chance that you would say yes, but I get it I'm not much to look at and you deserve someone you can have a relationship with. Who treats you right and makes you happy." Hikaru said surprising her.
"Wow that actually pretty sweet. You're a funny one." Yukana said.
"Glad I could make you feel better. Look I know what you're gonna say so I'll just leave." Hikaru said turning to walk away.
"Now hold on." Yukana said grabbing his arm. "I didn't say no. Despite all your weird antics you actually seem nice. So let's go."
"Wait what?" Hikaru asks confused.
"You want to go out with me. So let's give it a shot. Boyfriend." Yukana declares.
Hearing this Hikaru was speechless.
This alien had shown up out of nowhere and somehow, he now had a girlfriend thanks to him.
