Episode 135: The Upgraded Electric Soldier, Porygon 2
Mew has battled against Pryce, the Mahogany Town Gymleader, and is able to have an intense battle. Pryce and his Piloswine against Mew and Celebi. Despite the hitches in the icy battle, Celebi is able to stand a strong fight against Piloswine and is able to do well with her first gym battle. After an intense battle, Pryce decides to accept defeat, and Mew has earned her seventh badge. Now Mew only needs one more to compete in the Johto League.
At the Mahogany Town Pokemon Center, the couple of days after Mew's Gym Battle. Celebi is now sitting on the bed as she has a thermometer in her mouth. Soon, the thermometer begins beeping.
Brock then takes it out and looks at the temperature, "97.8. Well Celebi, I'm happy to say that you finally got over your cold."
"Yay!" Celebi happily says and begins to fly around in the air.
Mew giggles, "I'm glad to see you're feeling better, Celebi."
"I'm glad too," Celebi says.
Misty and the others soon walk in to see Celebi happily flying around.
"I see someone is all better now," Misty says.
"Yes. I'm feeling a lot better," Celebi says.
"We're glad to see you better. You were stuck in bed for days," Tomo says.
Celebi then flies to Mew, "Now that I'm all better that means we can make our way to Blackthorn City, right?"
"That's right," Mew says, "And we still have quite a ways to get there."
"Let's see," Brock says, taking out his guidebook.
"I'll see through my Pokenav too," Mew says, taking out her Pokenav.
"According to the guidebook, it's quite a ways away. There is a town between here and Blackthorn, so we can stop for rest and supplies." Brock says.
"Sounds good," Jen says.
"Well then, now that we're all ready. Let's go," Mew says.
And with that, the group soon begins to leave the Pokemon Center and begin leaving Mahogany Town to make their way to Blackthorn City. They begin walking through the woods where many Pokemon live.
"I wonder how long it will take to get to Blackthorn City," Misty says.
"Probably a while," Brock answers.
Suddenly, the Pokemon begins to sense something.
"What is it, guys?" Mew asks.
"Pika Pikachu," (We hear something.) Pikachu says.
"Melo Meloetta," (And it sounds like it's coming this way.) Meloetta says.
The group of friends begin to hear something and it's making their way towards them. Just then, approaching them is a small machine.
"What is that?" Jen asks.
"And why does it seem so familiar?" Brock asks.
Soon enough, the small machine reveals a project, emitting a familiar head with spiky green hair, and swirl glasses. Then it begins scanning Mew and the others.
The projection says, "Hello Mew, Brock, Misty, Tomo, and friends. You all may remember me. Professor Akihabara from Matcha City."
Mew soon realizes, "Wait, I remember you. You're the inventor from Matcha City. you gave me Porygon."
"You are correct. I'm glad you remember," The professor says.
"What brings your machine all the way to Johto?" Brock asks.
"I'm afraid I may need your assistance once again," Professor Akihabara says.
"Did something happen?" Tomo asks.
"Indeed," The professor says. "I've been kidnapped."
"Kidnapped?" The group says shocked.
"Indeed," The professor says.
He then shows a projection of what appears to be an RV and it shows a projection of two familiar Team Rocket members approaching.
"A pair of strange people, familiar to the intruders from Kanto, have kidnapped me and my Porygon 2. A couple of days ago. I came to Johto to gather the last of my supplies and have created an Upgrade Disk that will allow Porygon to be upgraded and evolve. Once I completed the two upgrade disks, I inserted one of them into my Porygon Prototype and it evolved. And now they're after my research of how I've created Porygon and tbe Upgrade Disk I used to evolve my Porygon," Professor Akihabara explains.
The group is shocked to recognize them.
"Hey, we know those two?" Misty says.
"Butch and Cassidy," Brock says.
"I see. So you know them. Well, it's good that my invention was able to find you. You've helped me back at Matcha city, and now I need your assistance again," The Professor says.
The group turns to each other and they soon nod their heads in response.
"Don't worry Professor, we'll help you," Mew says.
"Splendid, but be careful. That Team rocket has taken my Porygon 2, but I managed to slip in the other Upgrade for your Porygon into my machine to keep it safe. But now my machine has found out, you can use it to evolve your Porygon," Professor Akihabara says.
And with that, the small machine opens a compartment. Mew then takes it up to see the Upgrade. It looks like a disk.
"This Upgrade will help your Porygon Upgrade and evolve. You just need to insert it," Mew says.
"Okay," Mew says.
Mew brings out her Pokeball and calls out, "Go Porygon."
And with that, Porygon comes out.
Mew says, "Porygon, Professor Akihabara is in trouble and needs our help." Then presents the Upgrade, "The professor said that this Upgrade can help you upgrade and evolve. You want to use it?"
Porygon begins thinking for a second, but soon nods with a happy expression.
"Okay then, I'm going to need to insert it into you," Mew says.
Porygon understands and reveals a compartment on its back. Porygon presents it to Mew, allowing it to insert the Upgrade into Porygon. Soon enough, Porygon begins to shut down as it gently falls to the ground. Then its eyes begin to glow as it receives the data. And with that, Porygon's body begins to glow and change its shape. Soon enough, Porygon has evolved and gained a new appearance.
Porygon now has a rounded, magenta, artificial appearance that shows similarities to a drinking bird. It has a relatively flat bill and large, round eyes. Its legs are simple ovoid growths along its sides, and its tail widens towards the middle. Its bill, legs, tail, and underside are blue.
"Wow," Molly says.
"It evolved," Misty says.
Professor Akihabara says, "Meet Porygon 2, the Virtual Pokemon, and the evolved form of Porygon. A Normal Type. An Upgrade of Porygon, the artificial intelligence and is able to learn new attacks and moves. However, its flight skills aren't fully stable."
"It can't fly very well?" Misty asks.
"Not really. It can fly, but it goes so far as over a person's head, but it's an excellent hopper though, and can glide well, it even learns Electric attacks," The professor says.
But then says, "But we must hurry, I'm not sure what those intruders have planned for us."
Soon the machine begins to move back, and Mew and her friends soon begin to follow. Porygon 2 is able to fly and glide, but not as fast as the normal Porygon, but it's doing its best.
Meanwhile, somewhere in a mountain-like area, there is a wooden cabin. Inside the cabin is Professor Akihabara tied to a chair, and his Porygon 2 prototype is trapped inside of a cage.
Porygon 2 Prototype makes sad sounds as it lowers its head.
Professor Akihabara says, "Do not worry, I'm sure my machine will find someone and be able to rescue us. It's a program to find anyone who might be able to help us and protect the disk. It's also an AI so it has a will of its own."
Porygon 2 nods its head in reply.
Just then, the door opens, catching the Professor and Porygon's attention. And entering the room is Cassidy and Butch.
"Hello Professor, hope you and that AI Pokemon are comfortable," Cassidy says.
"I'm not comfortable that you have tied me up, and especially placed my Porygon in a cage," The professor says sternly.
"Well we hope that you can stay comfortable because we got a lot to discuss," Butch says.
"And that would be?" Akihabara asks, confused.
Cassidy then asks, "We want to know where your full model of the Porygon is."
Professor Akihabara is shocked to hear it.
We know for a fact that you've created two Porygons. The Porygon 2 you have now evolved from the Porygon Prototype, which we already have, but we also want a full model Porygon," Cassidy explains.
And last we heard, you actually gave it to someone, and we want to know who you gave it to," Butch says.
The professor turns his head away in anger, "I refuse to tell you. Even if I did, the trainer who has it is miles away, and is being cared for by a young trainer who will make sure it never gets into your evil hands."
Cassidy and Butch turn to each other
"Oh really…" Cassidy says.
"Looks like he's not talking," Butch says.
They both evil smirk to each other before turning to the professor.
"Well then…" Butch says.
"We have ways of making you talk," Cassidys says.
Professor Akihabara becomes frightened, "Uh what are you going to do?"
Butch calls out, "Tangela, I choose you."
And Cassidy calls out, "Go Vulpix."
And with that, both Tangela and Vulpix come out.
"Uh, what are you going to do?" Akihabara asks, scared.
"Alright you two," Cassidy says.
"Hope you like playing tickle attack," Butch says.
Outside of the tent, the professor screams in fright.
Back in the woods…
Mew and her friends continue to follow the small machine to where the professor is at.
Jen then asks, "Mew, who's Akihabara?"
"Oh that's right, you and Molly haven't met him yet," Mew says.
Misty then explains, "Professor Akihabara is an inventor from Matcha City, and the one who invented the Pokemon Transport that we used now."
"Really?" Molly asks.
"That's right," Mew says, "He's also the one who created Porygon. After helping him, the professor allowed me to keep the Porygon we became friends with, and who is the full model while he kept the other one which was the prototype. We helped him with a problem that Team Rocket caused when they tried another Pokemon stealing scheme."
"It was cool to travel inside the computer of the Pokemon Transport, but we almost got deleted in the process," Brock says.
"Deleted?" Jen questions.
"Yeah. Apparently, something called a vaccine was sent in the system to take care of the situation, thinking we and Team Rocket were viruses, and almost blasted us to pieces," Tomo says.
Mew then pat Porygon 2, "But Porygon was the one who saved us and got us back to the real world in the end."
Porygon 2 makes a happy expression on its face.
"And Porygon has been with me ever since. So far, the professor and I are the only ones who have the A.I Pokemon," Mew says.
"What an amazing adventure," Molly says.
"Yes, but it was kind of dangerous," Mew says, "I'm not sure about traveling to the cyberworld again after that incident,"
"Either will I," Brock, Misty, and Tomo reply.
Jen then asks, "I wonder how much farther we need to go to find the professor."
"I'm sure it won't be too much longer," Mew says.
The professor then says, "We shouldn't be for too much longer."
The group continues on as they follow the robot and soon, they come to a stop.
"Here we are. The machine is able to track Porygon 2 to this location. Look up," The professor says.
The group does just that and looks to see that they've arrived at a mountain. They also notice a building, looking like a cabin on the upper scale of the mountain.
"The professor is up there?" Brock questions.
"That's really high up," Misty says.
"Well, we need to get up there to rescue the professor and stop Team Rocket," Mew says.
"How are we going to get up there?" Tomo asks.
"And even if we can get up there, how are we going to get there without Cassidy and Butch seeing us?" Misty asks.
Mew begins to think on how they can get inside without Team Rocket seeing them.
"Well, I have to do this one at a time. First, one of us needs to go up there and see if they're really in there. Then we figure out how to rescue the professor," Mew says.
Tomo turns to Meloetta, "Meloetta, can you fly up there and see if they're in there. And make yourself invisible. You don't want to be spotted by them."
Meloetta nods and does just that. She makes herself invisible and flies up the mountain to the cabin. Once she arrives, Meloetta begins to hear a combination of crying and laughing. Meloetta is a bit confused about the strange laughter and takes a peek through the window close by. Meloetta is a bit confused and surprised by what she's witnessing.
Inside the cabin is the professor Akihabara tied to the chair. His legs are being held by Tangela, and both of his shoes are off. Then the Vulpix is using its tail to tickle him, causing him to laugh and shed tears.
The professor begs, "Stops… Stop tickling me… I-I-I-I can't take it…" and continues laughing.
Meloetta slightly turns her head to see Cassidy and Butch, having a snack as they watch the Pokemon tickle torture the professor.
Cassidy takes a sip of her drink and says, "If you want them to stop then tell us everything you know."
"Tell us who has the Porygon Full Model and where you sent the Upgrade Disk and we'll get them to stop," Butch says.
"Ne-Ne-NEVER!" The professor cries out.
"Then the Pokemon is going to keep tickling you until you come clean," Cassidy says.
"And the Pokemon are having a lot of fun with it," Butch adds.
The Pokemon continues tickling the professor as he continues laughing and screaming.
Seeing what is happening, Meloetta flies away and back down the mountain.
Back on the bottom…
"I hope Meloetta is okay," Tomo says.
"I'm sure she's fine. Meoetta will be okay as long as he remains invisible and unseen by anyone," Mew says.
Suddenly they hear a familiar, "Loetta." (I'm back.)
Soon, Meloeta makes herself visible again as she returns to the group.
"Meloetta, you're back," Tomo says.
"Did you find anything?" Misty asks.
"Mel," (Yes.) Meloetta answers.
"What did you find?" Jen asks.
"Loetta mel Meloetta. Mel Mel Mel Lo Meloetta Mel Meloetta Mel Mel Mel Meloetta Melo Loetta." (I found the Professor and the Porygon that look like them in the cabin. Cassidy and Buth have them hostage and are tickle torturing the professor to get him to tell them where the full model of Prygon is and the other Upgrade.) Meloetta explains.
"They're what?!" Tomo and Mew exclaim in shock
"What did she say?" Molly asks.
"Meloetta found the professor and Porygon 2 held in the cabin, and Cassidy and Butch are uh, tickle torturing him," Tomo answers.
"Tickle Torture?" The group replies, confused.
"Yes. Apparently they're also after my Porygon 2," Mew says.
"They're after your Porygon?" Brock asks.
"Yeah. Even though they have Porygon 2 with the professor, they want my Porygon and the Upgrade disk," Mew says.
"But you already used it to evolve Porygon," Molly says.
"That's right," Mew says.
Mew grins and says, "Hey guys, I have a good idea. Let's say we mess with them a bit."
"What do you have in mind?" Brock asks.
"Well, you remember what we did with the Team Rocket motto," Mew says.
"Yeah," Misty replies.
Mew snickers, "Surprise them with our little twist to their motto."
The group turns to each other and let out snickers with grins on their faces.
Back in the cabin…
Professor Akihabara continues laughing as he begs for mercy. Tangela is still holding the professor's ankles to keep his feet in place while Vulpix uses its tail to tickle him.
The professor is unable to handle it anymore and finally caves, "Alright… alright… I-I'll… I'll talk."
"That's just what we wanted to hear," Cassidy says.
Butch then says, "Alright you two, you can stop now."
Tangela and Vulpix stop what they're doing and let go of the professor's legs. Then the Team Rocket members approach him.
"So then, are you ready to talk?" Cassidy asks.
"Yes. I'll tell you, but you won't be able to find them. The trainer who has the full model was traveling last when I saw her," The professor says.
"Her?" Butch questions.
"So the trainer is a girl?" Butch questions.
"Yes. She's revealing it with a group of friends. And she also has a Pikachu and an Eevee," The professor confesses.
Cassidy and Butch look at each other.
"Did he say Pikachu and Eevee?" Cassidy questions.
"That's right. And we know one person who has a Pikachu and Eevee, who is traveling with a group of friends," Butch says.
"That's right," Mew's voice speaks up.
Team Rocket turns their heads to see the door opening to reveal Mew and her friends, and they begin to perform the Team Rocket motto.

All of them say in their language, "That's right!"
"It's those brats again," Cassidy angrily says.
"And they're stealing our motto.
"We'll show them," Cassidy says.
Then they begin to perform their motto.

Professor Akihabara happily says, "Look Porygon, it's our old friends. Which means they've used the Upgrade Disk.
"Hey Professor, are you okay?" Mew asks.
"I'll be fine, but help me out of these ropes and help Porygon 2 out of the cage," The professor says.
But Cassidy and Butch get in front of the Professor and his Pokemon
"We're not letting you have the professor or this Porygon," Cassidy says
"So be a nice girl and hand your Porygon over," Butch says.
"Forget it, my Porygon is staying with me, and we're not going to let you take the Professor's Porygon or anything," Mew says.
Mew then calls out, "Alright Porygon, let's show them what we can do."
Porygon 2 nods and performs an Electric Attack that shocks Cassidy and Butch.
"Alright, that's Discharge," Mew says.
Soon, the two have been charged and collapse, but they quickly get back up.
Still getting zapped, Butch cries out, "Tangela, use Vine Whip!"
Tangela then performs the attack to reach Porygon.
"Skwovet, use Bite!" Tomo calls out.
Skwovet jumps and bites Tangela's tentacle, making it scream in pain.
Cassidy shouts, "Vulpix, use Flamethrower!"
Vulpix fires the attack.
"Amaura, dodge and use Aurora Beam!" Jen calls out.
Amaura dodges the attack and fires the Aurora Beam, shocking the Vulpix.
"Togepi, Fairy Wind!" Misty calls out.
Togepi then uses Fairy Wind at Cassidy, Butch and their Pokemon and pushes them past the professor and Porygon in the cage. They soon crash into some chairs and a table nearby.
"Now's our chance," Tomo says.
Everyone rushes inside. Misty and Brock help untie the professor while Mew has Pikachu and Eevee use Iron Tail to break the cage. The two Porygon happily greet each other, happy to see each other again. Misty and Brock are able to get the professor broken free from the restraint.
"Thank you for the save," Professor says.
"Don't thank us yet," Jen says.
The group turns to see Team Rocket is still standing.
"Alright, hand us those Pokemon," Cassidy says.
"And you better do it on the double," Butch says.
"Sorry, but this is the part where you two take a hike," Mew says.
Then calls out, "Pikachu, Eevee, Porygon 2, use Thunderbolt!"
"Porygon 2, use Thunderbolt too!"
"Sparkle, use Thunderbolt too!" Misty calls out.
With that, all the Pokemon use Thunderbolt and give Cassidy, Butch, and their Pokemon a powerful electric shock. That causes an explosion in the cabin and Team Rocket is blasted out of the roof and into the air.
Cassidy screams, "Can't we ever win with those kids?"
"At least we know who has that Porygon and see it in action," Butch says.
"Yeah, but it's directed at us," Cassidy says.
Then the three scream, "We're blasting off again!"
And soon, Team Rocket is gone.
Sometime later, Mew and the others climb down the mountain side and soon reach the bottom.
"We're glad that you're okay, Professor," Mew says.
"Yes. It's great to see you all again and here to save me. I suspect that the machine was able to track my location and bring you all here," The professor says.
"It did. It even gave Mew the Upgrade Disk to help Porygon evolve," Brock says.
"Yes. And I'm happy to say that it worked perfectly, same with my Porygon," The professor says.
"So what are you going to do now?" Tomo asks.
"Well, I still plan to do some training with my Porygon to help use its abilities, and perhaps help it fly better. Now that your Porygon evolved, I suspect you can do the same," Professor Akihabara says.
"Don't worry, Porygon 2 is in good hands," Mew says.
"I'm glad to hear," The professor says.
He then asks, "So where are you all going?"
"We're on our way to Blackthorn City to earn my last gym badge. We were actually on our way there," Mew says.
"Blackthorn City, huh. Well then, you just need to head down that path there, and it should assist in getting you to the right direction," The professor says.
"Thank you, professor," Misty says.
"Well then, we gotta get going," Mew says.
"Indeed. Porygon and I have some training. I wish you luck on your journey," Professor Akihabara says.
"Thanks Professor, hope you and Porygon's training goes well," Mew says.
"And hope you guys have a good time," Tomo says.
Soon, Mew and her friends say farewell to Professor Akihabara and his Porygon 2 as they continue on their adventure. Now that Mew's Porygon has been upgraded and evolved, there is plenty to learn about it. Porygon happily agrees as he tries to fly alongside Mew and the others.
