Adams House

It was a warm and sunny day in Springdale. It was Nate's first day of spring break, and he was leisurely reading a book. Now normally he would be reading his mangas and such but that was not the case now because he was currently reading the book he had been given by Takeru years ago. The book was titled "Icons of the World", It was a book about historical figures from around the world who were alive in the past. Despite what his average grades may tell you Nate was interested in the past because of the stories he would hear from his grandmother. He didn't know why Takeru gave him this book along with the device that gave him his Ghost Driver and Eyecon but he was sure that it was important.

"What a perfect day to lay around and do nothing." Jibanyan was prepared to spend the day doing what he usually does on days like this, absolutely nothing. "I wish, It's the first official day of spring break and Mom and Dad have already planned a whole big agenda." Jibanyan in response gives a tired yawn. Nate somehow understands that though maybe it's because he's grown used to Jibanyan's lazy attitude "Exactly, they don't get spring break."

It was at that moment Whisper entered with a package in hand. He had a mysterious (or at least that's what he thinks it is) grin on his face. Nate and Jibanyan knew what was going on almost immediately. "Someone wants us to ask about that package, "Nate says with a deadpan expression. "Nyeah kinda obvious." Jibanyan says with a flat look of his own. Whisper pretends not to hear that "OK OK, stop begging since you desperately want to know, I will tell you. I just received this package via Yo-Kai Parcel Express" Despite his earlier words Nate was wondering what was in the package. "What is it?" his question makes Whisper even more giddy. "It's a little spring break present for you, Nate" At that Nate's curiosity heightens as Whisper opens the box and shows it to Nate.

"What is it?"Nate looks inside to see what Whisper is so excited about "Oh you know it's just a little something that will change your life." he takes out ...an envelope package that does not look all that impressive "It looks rather impressive doesn't it?"Whisper seemed to think the opposite "Not particularly if I'm honest." Once again Whisper pretends he didn't hear that "Listen, since the moment you got the Yo-Kai Watch, you've had to deal with a new yo-kai practically every day. Don't you sometimes wish you could take a break from all this yo kai wrangling and the daily humiliations, maybe a spring break? Well that's where this little baby comes in, It's yo kai repellent!" Nate is skeptical about the so-called 'yo kai repellent' "Does it actually work?" he voices his skepticism. "Of course, it does are you ready for this!"Whisper takes out the repellent from its envelope package.

Immediately it seems to take effect because Whisper and Jibanyan look like they are breathing toxic gas and look like they're about to pass out any second. "What's Happening!?" Nate looks at them in surprise that the repellent might work. Whisper immediately takes out nose plugs and stuffs his and Jibanyan's nose. They sigh in relief as they recover from the torture on their nose. "I thought I was gonna faint."Nate looks at Whisper incredulously "So it's like a car freshener?" Whisper takes the nose plugs out of his nose "Exactly, it keeps your life fresh and clean of yo kai." Nate still can't shake his doubt "Seems suspicious plus even if we did run into a yokai if worst comes to worst I could transform into Ghost and help fight."

It had been a week since Nate's fight with Sproink and when he first transformed into Kamen Rider Ghost. Since then they have been trying to learn more about the Ghost Driver, Eyecon, and even Takeru but they all ended up as dead ends. Whisper for all his knowledge, i.e. his Yo-Kai Pad, had nothing on them. Hidabat tried to help by calling his friends, but that was also a dud. So far they had next to nothing about anything however Nate decided that since the book had to be important they should try to use the people in the book as leads. Everyone knew It was a long shot but decided it was the only lead they had.

Learning more about the Driver's Origins hasn't been Nate's only focus though. Nate has also been practicing using the powers of Ghost so that he can get better at using them. Upon practicing after school and on weekends he discovered more powers he has as Ghost. First, He has a weapon called the Gan Gun Saber that can transform into a sword, separate into two swords, separate and combine into a naginata, and finally a blaster. Second, he can create barriers around him when he wants to be alone, he discovered this when he wanted to be alone after a bad day at school and put up a barrier around his room. Third, he can read minds and see memories, though he can't control them and it only happened once when he read the mind of his father when he was reminiscing about his childhood 'It always surprises me how much I look like Grandpa Nathaniel'. Lastly when he was riding his bike in his rider form it transformed into a motorcycle called the Machine Ghostriker. Even with all this, he feels he has not even scratched the surface of this new power.

"I'm still trying to wrap my head around that. I honestly wouldn't have believed you if I hadn't seen you transform with my own eyes." Jibanyan said. Nate chuckles "Yeah it's all pretty unbelievable, but then again I think I've gotten used to the craziness of my life since I got the Yo-Kai Watch." Nate's closet opens and Hidabat peeked through. "B-by the way Nate, I've got something that could help us find out more about your Kamen Rider powers." They were surprised at that. Hidabat then handed Nate a small glass case that had an old-looking lightbulb in it. "What's with the lightbulb and how could this help us exactly" Whisper voiced what many were thinking. "Th-that's not just any lightbulb that was the lightbulb Thomas Edison used to help him in his experiments." That fact was shocking to them...well for Whisper and Nate, Jibanyan just gave a confused face

"Thomas who?" Everyone in the room faceplanted. "How on earth could not know about him?! He was an incredibly historic figure!" Whisper yelled at the cat Yo-Kai in annoyance. Jibanyan just scratched his ears "Not much for all that history junk." Nate grabbed his book and showed him the page about Edison. "Here it is: Thomas Edison was an American inventor who helped invent the electric light bulb, the phonograph, and the motion picture camera. His most famous saying was "Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent effort."" That was a summarized explanation but Nate didn't have time to give Jibanyan the full explanation. Jibanyan nodded his head in understanding "Ok I think I got the gist of it, He was a famous inventor from a long time ago who also happens to be in the book Nyate got from the guy who also gave him the driver." Hidabat nods confirming what he said. "Yes, in fact, the reason I got the lightbulb is because Edison is in the book so I thought it might have a clue to help us. How I'm not sure yet.

"Well I'll hold onto it, who knows, we might need it."As Nate places the lightbulb in his backpack that he brought for the trip his mom calls him."Nate, It's time to go."Nate and Whisper head downstairs and see Nate's parents packed and ready to go."Hey, are you siked Nate!" his father asks "Guess so." he replies with very little excitement "Come on Nate, get excited, It's spring .Whoop." Nate then explains why he isn't excited "My parents are making me hike to some boring waterfall." they glance at the brochures of said waterfall. Though with how it looked it can hardly be considered a waterfall"How come adults get so pumped about waterfalls" Whisper tries to explain but he doesn't seem to fully believe his words"Well that's because the water is constantly falling." Lily pumps her fist in the air with excitement "Come on everybody! Let's go!" Nate's parents then begin to chant waterfall while dancing around

"Seems like they're a bit overexcited, even for them. Could there be a Yo-Kai?" Nate asks his butler. "That's simply preposterous Nate. We have Yo-kai repellant."Whisper displays the repellent as Nate searches for a yo-kai. eventually, he finds one that looks like a butterfly they have pink and white on the top pairs of its wings, with white shapes making eye shapes with curved eye-like shapes underneath the eyes and complete with eyebrows. Then the bottom pair has green wings with white swirls. The face is purple with a white curve on the top, their eyes are red with a darker yellow circle in the middle. There appears to be a white tuft-like shape on their head. Their body is black with a small area being purple and pink colored shapes, then the rest is black and white stripes. What appears to be red fluff is worn around their neck like a scarf.

"Who's that then?"Whisper looks utterly flabbergasted that there is a yo kai "That Yo-Kai freshener is a dud." Whisper is adamant that the repellent is legit"That can't be I'm a smart shopper!" Nate points at the yo kai in front of them "So that's not a Yo-Kai." Whisper looks nervous before not so sneakily looking at his Yo-Kai Pad for the butterfly yo kai's information "Uuuhh...Okay, that's Peppillon. He makes people all charged up and excited about everything.

"Peppillon is responsible for making parents drag their children to such boring places as museums or history reenactors" Nate goes to take out a yo kai medal "Well that's easy I'll just ask one of my yo kai friends to get rid of him" Whisper stops him before he can summon a yo kai "Hold on a second." Nate is confused about why he stopped him"Your parents are having fun thanks to Peppillon. It occurs to me that spring break might not be any fun without him." Nate looks at Whisper slightly confused"So wait, you're saying just let Peppillon stay?" Whisper just shrugs his shoulders "Why not?" Seeing how happy his parents seem to be Nate concedes to let Peppillon stay "Shall we go along for the adventure Jibanyan?"Whisper asks the cat yo kai "Got nothing better to do"Jibanyan responds lazily

Jibanyan is shocked to discover that they are going to drive in a car. "Hold the phone, a car ride?" Nate had a feeling he knew where this was going "Yep, that's right." Jibanyan gets a fiery look in his eyes"Cars are my mortal enemy! I can never forget that fateful day!" He flashes back to the day when he died from getting run over by a truck and his owner Amy calling him lame"Yeah, I guess I can see how cars could bring up bad memories." Nate rubs the back of his neck. In all honesty, he felt bad for Jibanyan and wished there was some way to help in that regard "Cars are responsible for ruining my life!" Peppillon then inspirits Jibanyan while he is speaking causing him to get excited and forget about his hatred "Road trip whoo!" As they drive to the Waterfall Peppilon soon inspirits Nate and Whisper making them overexcited too.

When they arrive they look at the "Waterfall" with great amazement until suddenly it starts to rain causing Peppilon to fly away "Wow, suddenly that waterfall looks less majestic" "I'm unimpressed" With them no longer inspirited they seek shelter from the rain in the lodge"Wow, that rain came on really fast. Seems like we've been having a lot of sudden rainstorms latel- could this be the work of a yo kai too?" Nate looks to his butler for answers "Not a chance, we have the yo kai repellant remember" Whisper quickly denies this as Nate searches for a yo kai "Rain is a completely non-yo kai related phenomenon" Nate then finds a light blue Yo-kai who is vaguely cone-shaped with a gaping dark blue mouth. It has bags under its yellow eyes that are the same color. It has long light blue arms that end in fin-like hands. It sits in the middle of a cyan puddle, and the lower half of its body is the same color. It has dark gray clouds around its head which shower sparse drops of rain."Right there. Whoever sold you that yo kai repellant ripped you off"

Whisper is once again trying to prove why the repellent was real."Nonono it's working I assure you!" Nate points at the yo kai in front of them to prove him wrong"Then what's that? You probably don't even know." Whisper takes out his Yo-Kai Pad but it runs out of battery "Of course I know that is it looks like-I forgot to charge it" He starts hitting it to get it to come back on before Jibanyan answers Nate's question"His name is Drizzle" Jibanyan seems to know" The two are surprised Jibanyan knows about him "I make it my business to know all the rain makers." Jibanyan casually responds "Hey Whisper, maybe Jibanyan should be my butler from now on." Nate says Jokingly "Actually I was just about to say Drizzle" Whisper may have taken that joke a little too seriously"Yeah right" Whisper plugs in his portable charger and goes over Drizzle's information "He is the Yo-Kai who makes it rain as you could guess from his name. He is responsible for the ironic rain on your wedding day scenario."

Jibanyan jumps to his feet " So as soon as we get rid of him the rain will stop." Nate walks to the edge " Let's see if we can ask him to just leave." Hey! Excuse me can you please leave my family can't go back home with all this rain and I don't want us to have to stay here overnight!"Drizzle looks at Nate. "Well since you asked so nicely, I would be rude not to" It seemed like he was about to leave which made them happy. Suddenly Nate sensed something as if something bad was gonna happen. His sense proved right as something appeared to go into Drizzle and give him a dark aura and a black cloudy mak with glowing red eyes. "What just happened?! what happened to Drizzle?! And what was that thing that entered his body?!" Drizzle then gives what sounds like a gurgling growl before pouncing on the trio.

They narrowly dodge Drizzle's assault. "I don't know but, whatever that thing did to him it's making him go nyuts!" Nate looks at Drizzle and knows that he is not in control of his actions "We gotta do something! Jibanyan, let's work together and get Drizzle back to normal." Jibanyan nods as Nate puts on the driver and activates the Eyecon

With that both Ghost and Jibanyan charge at Drizzle. Jibanyan Uses his PAWS OF FURY and while it does some damage it isn't enough as Drizzle body slams him away. Ghost tries using the Gan Gun Saber in sword mode but the slashes can't do enough damage and Drizzle smacks him away. Drizzle then up all the moisture from the rain and unleashes a torrent of water at the two. " HEAVY SQUALL!" The attack lands and Ghost and Jibanyan are hit by the force of the water. they then stagger to their feet. Whisper runs up to them "Nate! JIbanyan! Drizzle is too powerful whatever that thing did to him his water is even stronger than it should be!" As if to prove his point the rain got even heavier and thunder and lightning roared in the night sky.

Ghost isn't willing to give up 'There's gotta be a way to stop him.' Ghost looks up at the sky trying to think of a plan he sees the lightning dance across the clouds 'Lightning...THAT'S IT!' Ghost gets to his feet switches the Gan Gun Saber into naginata mode and raises it to the sky. Whisper and Jibanyan stare at him in bewilderment. Drizzle is confused about what he is doing but then disregards it and charges at Ghost. Ghost stands his ground as the possessed yo kai charges at him just when Drizzle is halfway there lightning strikes the Gan Gun Saber and lightning surges through it.

The shock of the lightning was very painful but Ghost ignored it and struck Drizzle with the lightning-coated naginata. The attack had the desired effect and dealt noticeable damage to Drizzle. Ghost falls to one knee and keeps himself steady with the Gan Gun Saber. "NATE!" "NYATE!" both Whisper and Jibanyan cry in worry and race to their friend. "Are you alright?! What were you thinking?! I don't know what made you think of such a plan, much less succeed in it!"Whisper shouts at him. Ghost chuckles and looks at Whisper "Well a great man once said, "Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent effort."

At that moment the lightbulb that Ghost had gotten from Hidabat glowed. Ghost took it out and held it in his hands. He then had a feeling of what to do and drew a seal in the air and activated it on the lightbulb. A yellow hoodie popped out of the lightbulb floated around and struck a pose

Ghost Immediately knew what, or rather who, this was "Thomas Edison?" The hood looked at Ghost and nodded confirming who he was. Whisper and Jibanyan are freaking out asking what is going on. Ghost is wondering that too but there is no time for that. "I know this is a little selfish to ask Mr. Edison but could you please help me save Drizzle?" Edison looked at Ghost before nodding and then flying into the driver. Before anyone could question what happened another Eyecon appeared. Ghost looked in awe at the new Eyecon before looking at the still-possessed Drizzle who was just now recovering. "Edison...Please lend me your strength" Ghost then activates the Eyecon and inserts it into the driver

Ghost form had changed, his visor had a lightbulb on it, he was wearing his hood up which now had antennas, and he was wearing a yellow and silver hoodie.

Lightning came down on Ghost's new form even stronger than before but instead of hurting him, it was being absorbed into the antenna and filled him with knowledge. "I see...I get it now." He then switched the Gan Gun Saber into gun mode and held it to the driver.

Drizzle, seeing that Ghost was preparing to attack, unleashed his soultimate again "HEAVY SQUALL". The torrent of water was heading toward the rider but Ghost didn't falter he aimed at Drizzle as a great amount of electricity built up at the barrel of the gun "My life is burning bright!" He fired the Gan Gun Saber

~OMEGA SHOOT~

The blast pushed back the water almost instantly and hit Drizzle dead center. The yo kai was blown away by the attack. The creature that was inside of Drizzle was blasted out and incinerated in a blast of electricity. With the battle won Ghost canceled the transformation and went to check on Drizzle with Jibanyan and Whisper following behind. "Hey, Drizzle! Wake Up! You Ok!?" Drizzle then groggily opens his eyes "Ugh what happened? I feel like I got struck by lightning again"

Nate smiled at him "Oh thank goodness. How are you feeling? Do you remember what happened?" Drizzle sits up "I remember I was about to leave but then I felt this... thing take me over. It was awful. I was filled with so much hate and anger and then I-" Drizzle then gains a horrified look "Oh no, What have I done!? I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you but I couldn't control myself!" Nate tries to calm him down "Easy easy, it's ok we know that you had no control and we don't hold it against you. Right guys?" Whisper and Jibanyan nodded in agreement. Drizzle looked touched that they didn't hold it against him. He then smiles at them before giving Nate his Yo-Kai medal. "Here as both a sorry and a token of appreciation have my medal. You can call on me anytime."Nate takes the medal and thanks him as Drizzle then leaves.

As soon as Drizzle leaves the sky clears up and it stops raining. Later as they go to the car to head home they talk about the repellent "So the Yo-kai repellant didn't work at all. Well only on you and Jibanyan." Whisper finally concedes how it doesn't work as he hoped it would. "Definitely strange" He then noticed something on the back "What this? Note: Yo-Kai Freshener...only repels cat and butler Yo kai!" They all sweatdropped at that before Jibanyan hits Whisper with a rolled-up newspaper. "Why did you buy that...Piece of junk."

Highway

The Adams are stuck in traffic. "Man it's not even moving Aaron laments before seeing his sleeping wife and son and smiling. "It's been an eventful day but I need to stay awake and get us home." As Aaron tries to rub the sleep from his eyes he doesn't see a purple mirror yo kai teleport them to their home.

Adams House

When Aaron opens his eyes he is shocked to see they're home "What the! How did we get here?" at his voice Nate and Lily wake up "Are we there yet" Lily is surprised her husband got them home so quickly. "wait we're home already? Wow, that was fast." Aaron could only stare at the driveway still confused "Um..Yeah" As everyone got out of the car Nate and Jibanyan stretched their legs." I closed my eyes and all of a sudden we were home." Whisper then explains how they got home so fast. "This was the work of the yo kai Mirapo. He creates a wormhole to allow people to travel instantaneously to their destination. He's responsible for many instances of waking up in your own bed but not remembering how you got there."

Nate just gives Whisper a deadpan look "So I can't even get away from yo kai in my sleep?" Nate tries to placate him "Think of it this way Nate, we came home early because of a yo kai. Otherwise, we'd all still be sitting in traffic."Nate just gets more irritated and brandishes the rolled-up newspaper. "Stop making excuses." Whisper becomes scared stiff at his tone. "Here's a real yo kai repellent, "Nate says before batting him into the sky

Jibanyan walks up to him and gets his attention "Well the yo kai repellent may have been a dud, but thanks to our fight with Drizzle, we know more about the ghost driver." Nate smiles and nods before taking out the Edison Eyecon. "Yeah, it looks like I can gain the powers of the people inside the book if I have an important item of theirs when they were alive." 'Edison was only one of many other Icons in the book. if I can manage to get more Eyecons then I'll be able to help both humans and yo kai.' Nate loses his smile "Still though what was that thing that took over Drizzle? Jibanyan did you see it at all during our fight?" Jibanyan just shakes his head "Nyot really, I did see something get blasted out of Drizzle, but it was destroyed instantly so I couldn't get a good look." Nate frowns before staring at the night sky "Something tells me that that's not the last we'll see of that thing." With that, he heads inside to go to sleep.

What Nate didn't notice was that Jibanyan didn't follow him. Jibanyan looks at the sky before staring at his paws. He flashes back to the battle with Drizzle and how he was taken out almost instantly. 'I was too weak to help fight. Nyate had to step in and if it wasn't for Edison Nyate could have-' he doesn't want to finish that thought as he clenches his paws tightly. 'Even after all this time as a yo kai, I'm still so weak! So...so lame."Jibanyan looks down dejected before he decides to go to sleep.

Two small identical figures converse with each other "The one who holds the Yo-Kai Watch is more powerful than we thought. This will be increasingly difficult." The yellow-haired one stated "But our mission will stay the same. We will make sure her plans come to fruition." replied the silver-haired one before both disappeared in a shadowy mist
