p class="MsoNormal"Chapter 2 Gilly Blott/p

p class="MsoNormal""And may your businesses flourish and any violations be dealt with in a swift hand," said the goblin in response to Narcissa before she entered the bank./p
p class="MsoNormal"Code or business violations were rare to pop up in Narcissa's chosen line of work, but she did deal with the persons involved indirectly but swiftly. This goblin must know her. She kept her cloak hood pulled low, due to the fact she couldn't wear her glamour here in Gringotts, and walked up to a teller. The line in front of him was short, so she didn't have long to wait before she could gain his attention./p
p class="MsoNormal""Hello," she said to the teller, addressing him formally as she had the goblins outside. "Could I please speak to account manager Wolfshard?"/p
p class="MsoNormal"The goblin was about to protest, when Narcissa withdrew a sealed document from the bag at her waist. She was also careful to show the ring on her right hand which had a tiny engraving of a book on it. The goblin teller opened the document with a silver blade and read it carefully. He gestured for Narcissa to lift her hood, which she did so briefly, then he nodded./p
p class="MsoNormal""I will see if he has time to see you," he said, hopping off his stool and walking behind the counter./p
p class="MsoNormal"The goblin was gone for a solid five minutes, in which Narcissa clocked the half giant Hagrid speaking to another teller. He had a boy with him, thin and wearing baggy clothes. Narcissa wouldn't be surprised if this was the famous Harry Potter./p
p class="MsoNormal""It's a shame I skipped all those years," she said to herself. "He's obviously malnourished and lonely. I'm going to have to keep him away from fan boys and girls."/p
p class="MsoNormal"The half giant and the boy vanished out of sight as the goblin teller re-appeared. He lead her through a long, twisting hallway and into an office, leaving her there with a very familiar goblin. She sat down and finally removed her cloak. He peered at her and nodded to himself, as though she were some kind of experiment./p
p class="MsoNormal""So you managed to do it then," said Wolfshard, account manager to the Blott family. "You de-aged yourself and sent yourself forward in time. I suppose you will want to be updated on all current news?"/p
p class="MsoNormal"She nodded and they talked for about half an hour, Narcissa making her inquiries brief. As they talked, she finished the paperwork to blood adopt herself as Gilly Blott, grand daughter of Charles and Laura Blott. The process had begun before she had sent herself forward in time, but only the potions and the spells. She had to fill in the actual paper work at Gringotts to make it official. Now that she had sealed each signature spot required of her, they reacted with Charles and Laura's, allowing the potions and spells to work just that little bit faster. Instead of changing body type, blood, hair and so on in about 24 hours, it would now be about 12 or so./p
p class="MsoNormal"Narcissa reached into her pouch and took out ten galleons from the money bag, which was now connected to her own personal vault. If she were shopping with others not in the know however, the helpful beings had given her a key, and she would have to suffer the mine cart down to the vaults just like everyone else. She stacked the money on Wolfshard's desk and got up as primly as an eleven-year-old could. Enfolding herself once more in her cloak, she bowed to the goblin and left his office with parting words in gobledegook./p
p class="MsoNormal"Entering Flourish and Blotts Book Shop, Narcissa was finally sufficiently glamoured and able to pull the hood of her cloak off. She was now a stocky, auburn haired girl with coffee colored skin and blue gray eyes. Laura Blott, her adoptive grandmother, greeted her inside. She was making a scene as they had planned back in 1981 when Narcissa had brought them the sad news that William, Charles' son, and his wife Dianne had died in the war./p
p class="MsoNormal""Oh Gilly my darling," Laura said, giving Narcissa, now Gilly, a hug and wiping a suddenly soot-spattered cloak. "We thought you had only gone only one grate too far. You know better than to floo travel alone."/p
p class="MsoNormal""Where did you end up?" asked Charles Blott?/p
p class="MsoNormal""Borgan and Berks Curiosities," said Gilly, hunching in on herself./p
p class="MsoNormal"Gilly had actually been to Borgan and Berks many times, but the customers didn't need to know that. She watched Mr. Darnell Flourish help a young muggle born girl and discretely tugged Laura's sleeve. The Flourish and Blott family were all half-bloods but it was not a good idea to fill the girl's head with knowledge she didn't need. Laura bent down and Gilly handed her a time turner which only went back about 15 seconds. Gilly backed out of the way and hid behind the shelf as Laura did also, turning it 4 times. Gilly wrote quickly and handed the improved book list to Laura explaining rapidly that muggle born students needed to learn wizard customs just as wizards needed to learn about muggles./p
p class="MsoNormal"Time reset and Laura tapped Darnell on the shoulder. Gilly summoned the time turner back when no one was looking as Darnell asked her why she was floo traveling in the first place. She was about to answer when Harry Potter walked into the store. She was not so happy when she saw Hagrid. She knew he was useful, but he would stop Harry from buying any books that were useful./p
p class="MsoNormal""Hey there," she said to Harry, holding out a hand with a smile. "I'm Gilly Blott. Can I help you today? I see you have your supply list. We have all the books you'll need right here."/p
p class="MsoNormal""Hello Gilly," said Harry, shaking her hand hesitantly. "I'm Harry."/p
p class="MsoNormal"When Gilly stacked a book about Quiddich on top of Harry's book pile, Harry looked intrigued. She also gave him a few books about wizarding etiquette, customs, and Hogwarts, a History because she felt he wouldn't just gobble it up like a certain girl who almost bought the whole book store earlier. Hagrid blustered behind Harry, but the boy seemed very interested in all of the books. He was especially interested in the books with moving pictures./p
p class="MsoNormal""How do they do that?" he asked Gilly shyly./p
p class="MsoNormal""There is a special potion you can soak photographs in to make them move," said Gilly with a good-natured smile. "Portraits are painted with magical ink and memories."/p
p class="MsoNormal""I'm sorry miss," said Hagrid, " But Harry needs to be getting his wand now."/p
p class="MsoNormal""Will you write to me?" Gilly asked Harry, noticing the majestic snowy owl in her cage./p
p class="MsoNormal""I can try," said Harry, his face clouding over./p
p class="MsoNormal"Hagrid dragged him away then and Gilly's face turned stoic. There was trouble at home for Harry Potter. It was a good thing she had made sure Hagrid couldn't throw those extra books away. Her left eye twitched as she put a magical tracker on the boy. She had put one on the girl as well. That girl had seemed important to her, and Gilly couldn't fathom why. She would get to the bottom of it though… right after she dealt with this clan of Weasleys./p
p class="MsoNormal" /p
p class="MsoNormal"A/N Thank you for the follows, favorites and my two reviews. As to the question, friendship comes first. After that who would you all rather see, Gilly and Harry? Gilly and Hermione? Or Gilly and both? My biggest question for you all is what do you think I should have Gilly do to the Dursleys, and what would be other fun things Gilly could do that actually show she was princess like but did gather all this cool shit and it didn't just drop in her lap. Gilly is for the Gilly flower just like Narcissa was for the Narcissus. Please read and review./p
