The weeks passed and Bulma had finished mine and Piccolo's house. She finished right as it was time to summon Porunga for a final time. Everyone gathered outside like before. I stood near the back again, Piccolo standing directly next to me this time. Porunga was summoned and they brought Krillin back. Then they learned that Goku was alive and wanting to travel back to earth himself. The Namekians had Porunga make them a new planet and I said goodbye to the Namekians I had come to know. Then they wished themselves to their new planet.

"I'm gonna miss them," I said out loud to no one in particular.

"Me too," came Gohan, walking up to me and Piccolo.

"I guess now's as good a time as any to get the house set up. Wanna come with?"

"I wish but now that they're gone my mom is probably gonna make me study."

"True true. Well I'll see you later Gohan. Say hi to your mom for me."

"Okay, bye guys."

We all split up now that the namekians are where they belong. I still couldn't fly so I took the airplane. Piccolo made sure that I didn't get lost and after a little while we landed in the spot from the movie. I landed the plane and got out, drinking in the environment.

"This place is so gorgeous, I love it so much," I smiled, just loving the view, speaking more to myself than anything. "I'm gonna draw this place so much. I can't wait to see what it looks like in different seasons."

"You like this place that much," came Piccolo's voice from just behind me. I kinda forgot he was here.

"Yeah, I guess one of the highest compliments from an artist is them wanting desperately to draw something. Do you not like the area?" I knew he did, since it's easy to assume he's the one that chose the spot in the movie.

"No I do, it was odd seeing that you chose this place. I have been coming here for a while now for meditation."

"Really? I guess we have the same taste in landscapes. Where should I put the house?

We looked for a spot that seemed the best, which is around where is house was in the movie. I didn't land on that side of the water so I was going to get in the airplane when Piccolo stopped me.

"Just put the plane in the capsule, I'll carry to the other side."

I stared at him for a second before awkwardly agreeing. I grabbed the capsule and put it back in my capsule case. I turned to Piccolo and he basically hugged me to him to pick me up. I was trying so hard to be normal about it. He flew us across and released me right as we landed.

I quickly moved away, pulling out my capsule case, but struggling to open it. I tried to steady my breathing and face away from Piccolo because I knew my face was super red. I took a deep breath and popped the case open. Grabbed the house capsule and tossed it where we agreed. The sound that they make is so satisfying.

I stood staring happily at the house. It was a simple looking house, with a light blue gray paint, with some navy blue trimming. There was a small round window on the front door. There was another window on the front of the house, below it, and every other window, was a planter that I planned to grow flowers in.

On the right side of the house, and the roof, was netting for trailing plants to grow on. I also planned to grow around the house with a mixture of flowers, herbs, and edible plants like carrots. Then, further away from the house was where I planned to grow most of the food. I grabbed another capsule and tossed it where I wanted my garden. It was a greenhouse for all of my growing things. I turned to Piccolo, now that my face is calm.

"Do you want me to show you where your room is?" I went to open the door to go in. He nodded and followed me inside. "I don't know if you care to know but it's my room, my studio, then your room. The bathroom is on the opposite side the hall."

"Why wouldn't I care?"

"Just ignore me and look in your room already."

I opened the door to my room and set my bag inside. I pulled out my phone and started taking photos to send to my parents and friends. I went into my studio and as I was taking photos I heard Piccolo call to me from the doorway. I turned to face him, completely forgetting that I designed his room with the help of the Namekians.

"Why did you make my room look like that? How?"

I wasn't sure how to make of those questions, they felt painful. "What do you mean? I asked the namekians to help. I was already learning how they design their houses. It just made sense to make your room reminiscent of Namek."

He stared intently at me. He had taken off his cloak and turban, leaving him in just his purple gi. "I don't know if Gohan told you but I absorbed another Namekian while on Namek, but I'm not from Namek myself. Nail still lives on in my memory, he is actually still his own consciousness within mine. He appreciates that you did that to make us feel at home."

"I hate to undercut how heartfelt this is, but Nail is still 'alive' for lack of a better word?"

"Simply put yes."

"Well I'm glad that you noticed my effort and that my effort wasn't wasted. It was awfully fun to design it."

I smiled warmly at him, I truly was happy that he liked it. It was fun but also a bitch and a half. Piccolo looked at me for another moment before nodding at me and going back to his room. I watched him go and went back to taking photos of the house. After sending the photos I decided to make some tea.

I walked into the kitchen, grabbed my teapot, and put it on the stove to heat with water, along with a large electric kettle. While the water was heating up I grabbed some green tea pearls and my cup. The teapot has a built in strainer so I was free to just add the pearls directly to the pot. After a few seconds I strained all the water out to wash the tea and added the hot water from the kettle.

I brought the kettle, teapot, and my cup to the table by the window. The window faced the lake and waterfall. I sat in my chair and poured my first cup. I watched the waterfall and lake as I sipped my tea. It was already early evening, with the sun beginning to set, painting the whole area in a beautiful orange.

"You look happy," mused Piccolo. He walked up to the table.

"Well the waterfall looks pretty, my tea takes wonderful, and I have my own house. What more could I want?"

"Would you like company?"

That question felt so unnecessary to ask that I softly laughed and just gestured to the chair across from me. "I know you just drink water, but I feel weird not offering you any tea."

"I can still drink other things."

I took that as an affirmation, but then I realized something, "I don't have a cup for you. They're in the top cabinet on the right."

Thankfully he hadn't sat down yet so he pivoted to the kitchen. "You left your tea out."

"Oh, I wasn't sure if I was going to make another pot or not. It's probably a little late for two pots. Can you put it away for me, please?"

"Where do I put it?"

"In the cabinet below the cups. Under the counter."

He put the tea away and brought his own teacup. "These are small cups."

"Yeah it took some time for me to get used to but there is a reason for that," I explained as I poured his tea, "Where I'm from there is a culture, whom are also the ones who discovered and popularized tea. They stress slowing down and savoring the flavor of the tea. The small cups force you to drink slower and get more of the notes. You also re-steep the leaves multiple times as it changes flavor over different steeps."

"You really like your tea, don't you?"

"I like what I like, what can I say? I want to enjoy it to its fullest potential. That's not to say I don't like cheap mass produced tea. I just also love this ritual of setting time aside to savor something as simple sounding as tea. It's almost a meditative experience," I laugh. I poured new water into the pot, as I was nearing the end of my cup. I looked outside again, the sun was quickly setting, washing the orange colors and bringing in the gentle blues of night.

Piccolo didn't answer me, instead just following my lead and watching the scenery. We drank in silence, with me moderating the tea flow. After about 7 of the small teacups, the flavor was starting to change. I could tell that was probably the last good infusion so I announced the end of tea time. Piccolo helped me bring all the dishes to the kitchen and I began to wash them. Piccolo went to the hallway but stopped.

"Thank you for the tea, I enjoyed it," was all he said before he disappeared down the hallway.

"We should do it again," I answered, knowing he could hear me but wouldn't answer. I wasn't all that hungry after the tea so I just grabbed a small snack. As I entered my room I heard the shower start. Huh, so he does shower. I ate and spent the rest of my evening talking to my parents and friends. I was about to go to bed but then I thought that I should probably shower before I do.

I groaned lazily and grabbed a towel and a change of clothes. It's been a few hours since Piccolo showered so I was home free for hot water. I went into the bathroom, and started the shower. I put my laundry in the hamper. My clothes were the only ones in there. He probably just materialized his clothes. God I wish. I got into the shower and let the warm water relax me.

I told this would work out.

Been a minute earth.

I don't experience time like you do. Besides, I had faith you could pull it off.

You are very odd for a planet, you know that?

Says the person from a different realm.

Is that what I call it? Realms?

Fuck if I know.

Thanks. What is your bigger plan for this by the way? Why do you care to make me live with Piccolo?

You know I have access to your brain.

I really didn't like the implication of that and my heart skipped a beat as me cheeks flushed.

Yeah, you get it.

I hate you, I'm ignoring you now.

Love you too boo.

I sighed, exacerbated. I finished up my shower and got ready for bed. I put my towel on the drying hook, next to the towel Piccolo used. I exited the bathroom and paused, looking at Piccolo's door, wondering if I should say goodnight. I decided not to because he'd probably not answer me so I just went to my room. I cracked my window open just a few inches to let the sounds of nature in. I took one last look outside, my window facing the valley and other mountains in the area, before going the bed.
