Fir led them down the hall to Jodaal's office. She glanced behind her to see that they were with her. The father of the children, the one they call Tripp, was right on her heels. He really wanted this man that had taken his children from their home. Fir had spent some time with humans and knew how emotional they could be. It was one of the reasons that Fir had to wonder why T'Pol married a human.
"Here is his office," Fir said as they reached the office.
"Let him know that you are here," Tripp told her.
Fir nodded and rang his chime. "Come in," They heard the deep voice of Jodaal.
Fir looked at the men and one of them nodded. She saw that they had phasers out. Fir opened the door and walked in. Jodaal looked up from his PADDs.
"What did you find?" Jodaal asked.
"I found nothing in their blood," Fir said.
Jodaal didn't like that answer as Fir saw his eyes flashed. "What color was their blood?" He asked.
"Red," Fir said.
"Interesting," Jodaal mumbled. "So, they have the blood of their father."
"Yes, what did you find in their blood?" Jodaal asked.
"They have both Vulcan and human genes," Fir had to wondered when the men standing outside were going to come in.
Jodaal turned to face her. "Interesting," He mumbled.
"If you noticed the boy has Vulcan ears and the girl looks like a human version of her mother."
"I didn't look too closely to the children," Jodaal said. Jodaal went back to the computer on his desk. "Run more tests on them. I want to know how they are compactable."
Fir knew that she was dismissed. She turned and headed out of the door. She saw the three human men standing. Tripp put a finger to lips and motioned with his phaser to go with Malcom. Lt. Reed took her arm and led her down the hall.
Tripp held up three fingers to the captain. He started to count down until he got to one. Tripp opened the door with his phaser out. Jodaal looked up when he heard the door opening. "Who are you?" He asked.
Tripp took a breath before answering. "I am the father of the children you want," He pointed his phaser at the man.
Jodaal looked Tripp up and down. "How did you get a Vulcan woman to marry you?"
Tripp gritted his teeth. He felt the captain at his back. He knew that he didn't need to answer the man's question but some parts of him wanted it too. Tripp gave him a wicked smile. "I got her pregnant."
Tripp knew how to read Vulcans faces and he knew that Jodaal didn't like his answer. "How did you do it?" Tripp could tell that Jodaal wanted to yell the question.
"That is secret that I will never reveal," Tripp smiled. "It's time that you come with me and my captain," Tripp made his way over to the man and tried to get him to stand.
"Why should I come with you?" Jodaal asked. "I don't answer to your rules." Jodaal knew that he was safe from human laws.
"We will be taking you to the Vulcan compound where the delegates that we brought here are telling the head of the compound of your crimes." Tripp with the help of Jonathan pulled Jodaal. "I think kidnapping is still wrong on Vulcan," Tripp led the man out of his office.
They made their way to the front of the labs. In the foyer, stood three Vulcan men. Tripp saw that T'Pol was standing to the side with the children. The Vulcan woman was looking at the children and Tripp could tell that she was going to miss them. Tripp handed Jodaal to two of the three Vulcan men.
Tripp watched as they walked Jodaal out of the labs. Tripp made his way to T'Pol and the children. He bent down and picked up Charlie. He saw that T'Pol was already holding T'Mir. Tripp bent down and placed a kiss on T'Mir's head. He pulled Charlie closer as Charlie wrapped his arms around Tripp's neck. All Tripp wanted to do was take his children home to the ship and never let them out of his sight again.
The last of the Vulcan men came up to Tripp and T'Pol. "We will need you to come to the Vulcan compound and give statements." Tripp moaned but he felt T'Pol put a hand on his arm.
"This man took our children," T'Pol started to rock a fussy T'Mir. Tripp sighed and nodded.
Tripp and T'Pol followed the others out of the labs and headed down the street to the Vulcan compound. Captain Archer and Reed followed behind them as the follow the Vulcan man. "Papa, where are we going?" Charlie asked.
"We are going to Vulcan compound before we have to go back to the ship," Tripp told his son.
"Okay," Charlie leaned his head on Tripp's shoulder. Tripp smiled as he watched his son watch the man in front of them.
The group entered the Vulcan compound to see others watching them as they came in. Charlie lifted his head and watched the other Vulcans. Tripp saw that some where children and he didn't think that Charlie ever saw a Vulcan child. The children were staring at Charlie and pointing their fingers at them. Tripp sighed because he knew other children were going to ask questions about Charlie and T'Mir. The Vulcan man led them to a building, and they entered the building. When Tripp entered the building, he felt that he should be on Vulcan not on Earth. He could see the beauty in the artwork done in the building. The Vulcan man led them down the hall to a set of double doors. He opened one of them and held it open for them to enter.
"Mr. Tucker and T'Pol please take a seat over there," The Vulcan man pointed to a desk in the center of the room. Tripp and T'Pol nodded and made their way over to spot. Tripp saw that Malcom and Jonathan took a seat at another desk where a Vulcan woman was sitting. The Vulcan came over to them and took a seat in front of them.
"Hello, I am Kock. I'm just going to need your statement about what happened," Kock looked from them to the children. Tripp saw that T'Mir was sleeping, and Charlie was watching Kock. "Start from the beginning."
T'Pol started when Jodaal started sending letters asking about how they conceived and the children after she gave birth to Charlie. She told him that he would send letters every few months asking the same questions. She never wrote back to him. Kock asked if T'Pol had any of the letters that he had written. T'Pol told him that she kept every letter that he had written. Kock asked for them. T'Pol nodded and told that she would send them when they got back to ship.
Kock asked how everything happened today. Between Tripp and T'Pol they told him what happened. Tripp looked down when he heard a snore and realized that it was Charlie. Tripp smiled before he and T'Pol finished their story. Kock seemed happy about what they told him. He told them that he had enough to charge Jodaal with kidnapping.
"I will escort you out with your other team members," Kock stood up. Tripp and T'Pol followed with their sleeping children. They caught up with Archer and Reed at the door. Kock walked them out of the building and the compound. "If I have any questions, I will send word."
The four adults nodded and Kock left them outside the compound. The doors to the compound closed behind him. Tripp took one more look at the compound before following the others with the sleeping children. They got back to the shuttle and as Malcom was starting the shuttle both children woke up. They looked up to make sure that they were with their parents before settling down. Tripp just wanted to hold the children tight and never let them go.
Once they got back to the ship, Tripp and T'Pol made their way to their quarters. They opened their doors to find that Ella was pacing. She started to cry when she saw that they had children. She looked up at them.
"I'm sorry that I let anything happen to them," Ella said with a shaky voice.
"It was not your fault," T'Pol reassured the woman. "Jodaal was stronger than you and he knew how to take you down."
Ella nodded. Tripp could see that the woman still blamed herself for what happened. "Go back to your quarters and we will see you in the morning," Ella nodded and walked passed them to leave the room. Tripp and T'Pol waited until the door were closed before they set the children down. Charlie wrapped his arms around Tripp's leg while T'Mir wrapped her arms around T'Pol's leg.
Tripp and T'Pol traded a look before they picked up the children and headed for the couch. They took a seat and put the kids between them. Tripp turned on a cartoon movie and they sat as a family watching the movie.
Halfway through the movie, Tripp looked down at both children to see that they were both asleep. He looked over at T'Pol to see that she was reading a book with one arm wrapped around T'Mir. "How did you know that the children were gone?" Tripp asked.
T'Pol glanced his way. "You know how you and I have connection," Tripp nodded. "I also have one with Charlie because we mediate together."
Tripp thought back over the day. "You didn't tell Kock about it."
"No, it is not common for children Charlie's age have connection with their parents. It usually doesn't happen until they reach five or six," T'Pol looked down at Charlie and ran a hand over his head. "I started early with everything that has happen to him," Tripp nodded and watched her hand for moment. He remembered when T'Pol told him that she was going to start mediating with Charlie. He looked back up at his wife. "We are doing the right thing giving all this up," Tripp waved a hand over their living quarters.
T'Pol nodded. "Yes, they need somewhere to grow up," Trip agreed with his wife. He looked down at the children again and knew that they should get the children to bed. He was ready to say something when T'Pol's words stopped him. "What were you thinking about when you left the shuttle and gave my hand a squeeze?"
"We were close to the Vulcan compound and thought about how that was your home, and I was so glad that you joined our team. I would have never fallen in love with you, or we would have these two beautiful children between us now." Tripp could tell that T'Pol was touched by his words. "All I know is that I am one lucky man," Tripp leaned over the children and gave T'Pol a kiss. "I love you."
T'Pol ran a hand over his face and Tripp knew that she was telling him the same thing. Tripp was happy to be in this moment right now.
