My Favorite Nightmare

Leo couldn't get to sleep after he did some training with Po and Tigress that night in the Training Hall after Master Yao left in the afternoon. He always has the same nightmares every night and never good dreams ever since of what he did that night before arriving here. The nightmares get worse every time. Leo never told Tigress and the others about it. He didn't want them to worry about it.

It's not their problem; but his. He headed to the kitchen to have a cup of tea. Leo made his cup of tea and sits down at the table. He wishes he can get rid of this hellish nightmare. There were times that training, and meditating can help, but the nightmares never leave.

Leo had made sure not to let anyone know about this and was very careful not to give any hints or signs, not like last time back in his world. He didn't feel the heat of the cup against his hand or the hot tea running down his throat. Leo just sat there alone in the darkness of the kitchen, ignoring the heat. The last time who found out about his nightmares was Panther and Ava. They wanted to help Leo and give advice, but he refused after what he done that night.

Leo wasn't sure how much Shifu, The Dragon Warrior, The Furious Five, Masters Ox and Croc saw when he and Prince Sying fought in the ring of fire or how big it was. He didn't bother looking at the fiery ring as he was fixated on his killer. What the prince said about raping Leo's mother had completely angered him to the point to kill Sying and he did it by tearing a hole in Sying's throat.

When Leo saw Panther looking at him covered in blood, he was reminded what his actions did several years ago. It was terrifying and horrible. After everything what happened that night, Leo had distanced himself from his friends and received new nightmares every night. Even after Sying's death. He didn't want the Furious Five, the Dragon Warrior and Master Shifu to see that.

Leo had tried to forget that, but with no success. He spent every night, having nightmares over and over. The young teenager did a pretty good job of not showing it until Panther was the first to know about his nightmares then Ava. The two girls told the masters about it. But Leo didn't need the other masters help as well.

He finished drinking his tea and headed back to the barracks. Leo took note of several boards that creak and avoided them. After entering his room, Leo lay back down in bed with his arms behind his head as he looks up at the ceiling. There was no way that he could ever forget for what he did. When Sying was killed and China saved, Leo and Panther only spent a little bit of time with each other before they returned to the Valley of Peace. And now that China has been saved, Leo's origins remained a mystery.

There was no further evidence if his parents are alive or dead. Any other evidence was destroyed on that snowy mountain. He always has those same nightmares until he had visions and a dream from his past. But there was one thing that Leo wondered. Panther.

Why was she there in that dream? Why did she stared at him? Was Panther alive? Dead? There was no way Leo could tell.

When a problem is solved, another always shows up with more questions. Leo knew that any problem he faced is not easier said than done. He ended up here in ancient China. Leo felt he crossed a bridge that do not exist. Not to mention the voice he heard from whatever place he was in.

Leo figured he was laying down in total darkness or floating. He couldn't tell where he was. And when Leo opened his eyes, he ended up in Tigress's room. Po was excited more than the Furious Five. They were less excited as they had a disappointing day. Who wouldn't have a disappointing day?

Monkey was the second person to introduce himself to Leo. Then Crane, Mantis and Viper introduced themselves when Monkey and Tigress arrived at the barracks with Po and Leo. The Furious Five did had a lot on their mind that late afternoon. They were surprised to see a human. And on the way back to the barracks from the training hall, Leo was just okay to them, and he had some interesting moves.

When Leo defeated Zhao, The Furious Five and the Dragon Warrior honored him as loyal ally and warrior. Panther and the Furious Five thought he was killed by Sying and Shen, but he survived. A person like him can't die that easily. The nightmares should've been gone by now. But they haven't.

Leo did not need anyone's help or guidance. He'll face these nightmares alone no matter what. Leo has gotten used to these nightmares. There were times that the nightmares were beginning to leave little by little, but to no avail. Leo couldn't do anything.

He continued staring at the ceiling and was about to close his eyes until he heard someone eating across the hall. Getting up, Leo peeks in Po's room and saw the panda eating a dumpling. He walks back into his room and lays down back in his bed with his diamond sword close by. As he closes his eyes, Leo prepared to face his nightmares again, no matter how terrifying it is. Leo knew that the nightmares will never go away as long as he lives.

He only wishes that his friends never find out about it, especially Tigress. Leo knew that Tigress cares for him and can help him to be rid of these nightmares. But for him, it's better not to talk or say anything about his nightmares again. Especially now. Who knows what will happen?

This chapter was pretty interesting to work on, but shorter than the other chapters I worked on for this story. I thought it was a good idea to have Leo go through these events.
