The Great Twilight and Rean's been capture by Osborne and the Gnomes. Class VII, old and new, join by everyone throughout the world begin their plan to stop Osborne, and the Great Twilight. With war on the horizon that leads to the end of the world, they seek answers, and plan to rescue Rean in the progress. Will they save the world before the war or darkness consume all?

6. Hamel

(Trails of Cold Steel IV - Twilight Green Passage)

The group ride their back to Hamel's entrance in Parm Byroad. As they ride their back, Juna spotted the entrance as they go where they arrived at the sealed gate, however, it was opened.

"All right, here we are at Hamel's Gate Entrance. However..." Levi look at the lock on the floor and the gate is opened as they dismount and Levi place the horses back into Dimentional Home.

Altina approached it as they knee down. "There are scratches around the keyhole." Altina said. "From the looks of it, someone forced the lock open with a wire, such as those used for lockpicking."

"I had a feeling it's a certain bad boy." Levi sighed.

"You're right. He has a lot more skills it seems." Yuri mused. "As expected of someone of his caliber."

"There are multiple footprints." Hapi pointed. "Some look lizard-like. While the other one look tiny. Way too tiny for a human. While the other two are human-feet."

"You're right. If the smaller footprints are Tatiana's then you might be onto something!" Juna nodded. "All right, let's-" Then the pendulum begin to glow. Juna brought out the pendulum and it was glowing. " Th-The pendulum's reacting!"

"Does that mean there's something up ahead?" Kurt asked.

"No doubt, but we should take extreme caution." Levi advised. "If Ash and Tatiana are in there with their Pokemon, we'll need to catch up to them soon, and with the pendulum reacting like that, we may face off against a tough battle, so be prepared for a fight."

"Right!" They replied in unison as they went in.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Weathering Road)

We entered into the forest and straight away, we saw more of the Black Pleroma Grass.

"Black Pleroma Grass. It seems we have found our singularity." Levi said "However, the very air here has changed."

"I surmise that something has activated the higher elements." Altina nodded

"No doubt about it. Let's hurry and find Ash and Tatiana." Venti nodded

"Right!" The group nodded as they went up the path.

"All right. I think it's time you will talk to us about Hamel." Constance said. "You said it was Ash's home."

"Yeah. However, it's a tragic story." Levi sighed. "About 14 years ago, Hamel was a peaceful village. However, something horrific happened. It was attacked by a group of Jaeger dropouts."

"Attacked? Jaeger dropouts?" Yuri asked as he looked serious while the other wolves looked shocked.

"Yeah. Jaeger Dropouts are inexperienced or amateur mercenaries. After they indiscriminately slaughtered many innocent villagers, adults, and elderly children alike, they dropped weapons in Liberl. This was an act to declare war on Liberl, who had nothing to do with it. The culprits were a bunch of Imperial soldiers and officers from the Imperial Army to stage an excuse for Erebonia to invade Liberl which started the Hundred Days War. But in truth, it was revealed by Chancellor Osborne and Black Alberich that the noble officers never even thought of something so inhumane. They were poisoned by the curse of the Great Twilight, which led them to the path of destruction. The Noble officer leading the Hundred Day War was the father of Lechter Arundel. After the Hamel War, Osborne, who was the brigadier general at the time, found evidence of the Imperial Officers' treasonous actions. Osborne gains an audience with the Emperor, and with his full authority to investigates the Hamel incident. The masterminds were given the death penalty, and the jaegers were slaughtered. The Imperial Government made a deal with Liberl to a cease-fire agreement. One of the agreements was the Hamel incident would never be revealed to the public, as they would be thrown into chaos. The Queen of Liberl had no choice but to agree. Erebonian authorities quickly closed off Hamel, claiming that the road to the village was destroyed in a landslide and its location was wiped clean off the map. Only a very few people knew the truth, but were forced to keep it to themselves. In Erebonia, any attempt to reveal the truth would be considered treason and will be executed on the spot." Levi explained as they kept going.

The Ashen Wolves were shocked to hear this dreadful information.

"Oh goddess..." Constance covered her mouth, feeling sick.

"Holy shit... That was..." Balthus covered his face with his hand.

"I understand a village massacred by bandits... but for military officers to use as an excuse... is pure evil." Yuri muttered. "It's no wonder you can't tell anyone."

"Yeah. We had no choice but to keep it quiet. The news of it was too overwhelming, to say the least." Juna sighed.

"Originally, there were two survivors, however, it was later revealed Ash is the third survivor. And this happened when he was three." Levi added

"When he was three?" Hapi eye widen. "Holy smoke. It's horrifying for a child of that age to even witness that event. Poor Ash. He must have shock him to his core."

"But still, this Great Twilight and the curse business is downright evil. I'm not sure what that Imperial Chancellor is doing for releasing it to the world." Yuri said.

"He's nothing more then evil. Just like the other villains who sided with him." Levi said until they spotted monsters blocking their path. "We got monsters. We need to clear a path." He said as they got their weapons out and then to deal with the monsters before defeating them.

"Man. The monsters have gotten stronger since the last time we came here." Juna sighed.

"Perhaps they're affected by the black Pleroma Grass." Altina said.

"What else can the black Pleroma Grass do..." Venti muttered as they keep going up the hills.

"Hey, is it me or is the clouds the clouds in the sky look completely off?" Hapi asked as she was looking up.

"Yeah, you're right. I'm not sure why but something is off with them." Alsin agreed.

"Must be another Great Twilight affect... or perhaps something within this area." Yuri shrug as they keep going. "I can imagine this place look peaceful... if it weren't the gloom... It would be a good place for a picnic, horseback riding, or admiring the scenery."

"Yeah. I agree." Venti nodded.

"S-stop! D-Don't come any closer!" A voice cried out.

(BGM paused)

"That voice!" Juna said

"It came from over there!" Altina pointed at the direction.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Overturned the Disadvantage!)

The group turned to the direction as they saw a girl in the branch campus school uniform who revealed to be Tatiana who is tired alongside her Minccino, Shuppet, and Natu from facing monsters and Heartless. Behind her was a red Hector with the branch campus logo on it left shoulder.

"I...I can't keep fighting... Minccino... Shuppet and Natu are exhausted..." Tatiana panted as the monsters and Heartless approached her and her Pokemon. "Everyone please...Ash!"

"Stay away from her!" Levi used his craft: Penetrate Hurl on the monsters and Heartless and wipe out a group of them while the others rush it to knock them away, Levi's Glaive returned to his hand and joined the others. "Tatiana, are you and your Pokemon okay?!"

"Huh? Levi? And Class VII?" Tatiana gasped. "Y-Yes! We're fine!"

"Good. It's a relief you held out for this long. Now stand back. We'll handle this."

(BGM ended)

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Bold Assailants)

"Everyone, battle stations! Let's do this!" Juna command

"Right!" Altina nodded as they all form combat links to take on the enemies.

The Bire Plant King spit out acid to the group as they dodged as the other Bite Plant, Malachite Bolero and Powerwild charge in toward the group. Levi launch some slashes on the Bite Plants as Juna fire bullets onto the Bite Plant King while Kurt launch some twin slashes before he roll to his left to avoid the bite from Bite Plant King. Altina launch slash with Claiomh Solais to knock back the Powerwild and then fire laser at them, wiping them as Venti shoots Malachite Bolero who sent out wind blades toward him which Venti unknown to the others absorbed it and then counter by launching his own wind blades and slice the Heartless. Yuri launch slashes onto Bite Plant King as Alsin cast Blizzard onto it, freezing it and then Balthus readied his fist anf knock it toward the wall as Hapi cast Hades onto it.

The Bite Plants shoot acid toward Constance who form a light barrier and then rain down pillars of light onto them and then waves her arms with a golden aura, spreads it, and causes several pillars of light to scatter the monsters. Kurt ran up toward Bite Plant King and launch several twin slashes onto it before slashing one of the necks, causing it to roar at him, and then attempt to bite him. But Kurt moved his body to dodge it and then counterattacked by doing more damage to it as Juna jumped toward one of the heads and stomped on it, backflipped, and shot bullets on it, causing it to screech as she then channels energy on her, rush toward it and deal the killing blow by jumping over it and then dive attack and punch the back, causing it to screech in agony and collapse, turning itself int purple mist.

(Resuming Weathering Road)

Once the coast is clear, they put away their weapons and check on Tatiana and her Pokemon.

"Phew, looks like you aren't injured." Kurt said.

"Are you and your Pokemon okay, Tatiana?" Juna asked.

"Y-Yes, we're perfectly fine now! I'm just so glad you guys are okay!" Tatiana replied. "I didn't think I'd ever see you all again. But... who are these people with you?"

"This is the Ashen Wolves. One of our friends from Fodlan. This is Yuri, Balthus, Alsin, Constance and Hapi." Levi introduce.

"Nice to meet you little lady. It's a good thing we show up at a good time." Yuri said.

"But I'm surprised you would come here along with your Pokemon, considering how strong these monsters are." Constance said.

"It was good we made it in time to help." Altina nodded

"I'm thankful that you did." Tatiana sighed in relief. "What are you all doing here?"

"We came to look for Ash." Balthus answered.

"Oh, you're looking for Ash? I thought I saw him from the bus, about halfway to the gate, but it was only for a second."

"You stopped by and found this, right?" Juna asked as she turn to the Soldat.

"A crimson Hector... A Mk. II, to boot." Kurt nodded

"I can see the branch emblem on it. It's one of ours." Levi said. "Judging from it. It was used recently. So that's how Ash got here."

"We'll have to leave it here for now." Juna advised. "Tatiana, do you mind waiting a while? We'll get Kairi and Pablo to come pick you up."

"What? No! I want to come with you." Tatiana replied

Venti shook his head. "You're in no condition to fight. Same goes for your Pokemon. You and they still need to recover after that ambush earlier."

"Please trust us." Altina replied. "It is in our hands. When we do this, it'll be in your name as well. We will not fail."

Tatiana nodded. "All right, Class VII, the rest is up to you!"

"Right." Levi nodded. "We're almost there. Let's go."

"Got it!" Juna nodded as they carry on while Tatiana begin to feed her Pokemon Oran Berries to heal them and then comfort them.

The group made their way up as they soon arrived to an area with flowers that is overrun by black Pleroma Grass.

"Yikes... Look at the flowers... it's overrun by the black Pleroma Grass..." Hapi muttered.

"There are the same flower we gathered before." Kurt said.

"Gather for what pal?" Balthus asked

"To give them to all the people who lost their lives to the Hamel Tragedy." Venti answered

"It's kinda sad seeing them like this." Juna added

"I don't like it either. But we must stay focus and find Ash." Levi replied.

"Right. Let's go find that little wolf." Yuri nodded as they continue onward.

There was a fork in the road ahead, but Class VII knew which path to take as they lead the Ashen Wolves toward a large opening area where are many Black Pleroma Grass from both sides of plants.

"This place is overgrown with Black Pleroma Grass..." Hapi trailed off. "As a forest lover myself, this sight makes me sad. Too sad enough for me to sigh. I was hoping I can visit the other nations and reborn Fodlan nature spots like this."

"Yeah. It would be nice." Yuri sighed. "Anyway, Juna. Is this the spot?"

Juna pulled the Pendulum was glowing brighter than before. "Yeah. The core's just up ahead."

"That's where we'll find Ash... Let's go." Kurt said as they go into the path leading to Hamel.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Hamel -Remains-)

The group then arrived in Hamel the Forgotten Village... where they see ruin and crumbled building, surrounded by nature, however, it was overgrown with the black Pleroma Grass.

"So this Hamel Village..." Alsin look around, looking sad. "The sight of it break my heart."

"Yeah... It... like looking at my hometown... except it isn't destroyed... until..." Hapi look down.

"When we came here before, it was so peaceful and quiet." Juna said.

Altina hummed. "And now, the black Pleroma Grass has given this place an ominous unpleasant feel."

"Yeah, the weight of the past is still standing here." Venti added. "As if the village is frozen in time, untouched by man."

"This is Ash's hometown after all. No doubt it's important to him." Levi nodded. "I can sense him. He's nearby."

"And there he is." Yuri pointed in the distance where Ash is sitting nearby a broken house with Sandille, Aron, and his Crocalor with him, looking sad.

Ash let out a sighed. "What the hell am I doing? I make a clean getaway... only to come back to here of all places." He look down with a small chuckled. "I guess it's fitting, all things considered."

"Crokcalor..." Ash's Crokcalor respond by holding Ash's arm while his other Pokemon comforting him.

"There's no need to be concerned for a guy like me. I think it's better that you guys find a better trainer then me. I'm nothing more of some lost cause."

"Aron!"

"Sandile! Sandile!"

"Crokalor, Crok, Crok!" All three of his Pokemon yelled in an argument until they spotted the group.

"Crokalor/Aron/Sandile!"

"There you are Ash." Levi called out as he and the others approached him.

"Thank Aidios! I'm so glad you're okay!" Juna added.

"Looks like our instincts were right." Levi sighed. "You made a lot of us worry you know."

"The hell...what are you doing here?" Ash asked. "Haha, this has gotta be some sorta sick joke."

"What are you talking about? This isn't some joke as you proclaim." Yuri said. "Everyone has been worried sick about you. Why else we're here? Mind telling us why are you in this place?"

"Heh. That's a good question. Even I can't figure out why I came here to this place. I shouldn't even be here, nor even be alive at this point."

"Hey pal, just because you're all down in the dumps doesn't mean you shoud-"

"I think I should since you heard the news, meathead." Ash interrupted Balthus. "All of you should heard by now who exactly I am and what I did. I'm an assassin sent by Calvard. The traitorous piece of shit who shot the emperor and started this war."

"But that wasn't..." Altina paused.

"But didn't Levi remove the curse from you? You should have been free by it." Juna told him.

"Yeah, Sullivan did all right. But not even he can stop the curse from coming back to me." Ash dismissed. "At the end of the day, I'm the one who pulled the trigger. I gave into the voice in my head, telling me to do it. I gave in to all the hate, anger, and pain that'd built up inside me for fourteen years, and I shot down the emperor in cold blood."

"Ash..." Levi clench his fist.

"I should've been able to fight it, but I couldn't. Because I was too damn weak. So I let myself become a pawn. Carried out a role I never asked for. My whole life's just been decided for me by some shitty prophecy." He then covered his left eye. "For so damn long, I thought I was living for myself. But it was all bullshit. The Hamel tragedy, finding my mom, losing her. Getting into Thors and Class VII... it was all just part of the script. All to put a gun in my hand. Sullivan may have altered that script... but it found its way back to me... guided me to the Emperor... and... you know the rest. And I wasn't even an actor...just a damn puppet. Heh...it's all so pathetic."

"Ash..." Alsin trailed off.

"Get lost. I'm done talking. My part in all this is over. Only thing left for me to do is leave the stage." Ash turn to his Pokemon. "In fact, best these guys too. They had nothing to do with what I've done. They don't deserve a trainer with this level of time on me. Espcually since I deserve to die."

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Bonds -Relations-)

"Don't you DARE talk like that, Ash!" Juna said, before his Pokemon can argued. "This isn't the end. Not by a long shot. None of us know what we're supposed to do, but we're doing everything we can together! And we're not the only one… There's the old Class Vll and everyone from the branch campus too. Everyone from the Mushroom Kingdom, Fodlan, Smash Bros, all of the people we know and met are working together on this crisis! You think we're just sit by and let you pretend that you're done?! That you have nothing left to do but die!? No way we'd allow that! You're one of us, Ash! You're a member of Class VII!"

"Tch...cut the crap already." Ash replied. "With everything going on now, there's no way-"

"There IS a way. There's always a way." Altina interrupt. "Because we've all made up our minds. To support you. And Instructor Rean. To understand you and ease the burdens you carry."

"Huh?"

"I had a feeling you wouldn't know. Rean is in the worst spot than yours ." Levi sighed. "He's the one who caused the Great Twilight to happen. After what happened to Millium, he fell into rage because he couldn't protect her. That rage consumed him to slaughter the Holy Beast and trigger the Great Twilight. He lost complete control of his power, and our enemies are holding him captive. Rean is suffering right now. He's been like that for two weeks. That is why we're going to find him and bring him back. Starting by getting everyone back together, including you!"

"That's right." Yuri approached him and knee down. "What happened to Millium and Rean is tragic. But this Great Twilight Business affects all of us. That's why we're all here. To find a way out of this mess. As Levi said, we're getting everyone in this. What's more, do you truly think we would dare leave you like this? To die? No. In case you've forgotten Ash, you're a part of the Ashen Wolves. We won't leave a man behind, nor be killed. No matter the situation they're in. I know this because I was like you."

"What?" Ash asked, raising an eyebrow.

"About six years ago in my time in the Officer's Academy in the old Fodlan... My class: The Blue Lion was tasked to kill bandits... However... Those bandits were my friends. I could not abandon them. No matter how I argued. Their life was demanded. You want to know what I did next? I kill the Knights who accompany us." Yuri said, causing everyone to look shocked. "Because of what I did. I was placed under execution. But my life was safe from a certain Cardinal... who seemed to use me for his plan. My crimes were pardoned as I was exiled to the abyss. Even though I should have died that day, I was given a second chance to amend the things I've done. And that's exactly what I said. I made a vow that I wouldn't abandon my allies, protect them, and even help them find a good place for them to call home. That's why I'm very protective of all my friends, and family, including the people of the Abyss. And that includes you, Ash. What happened to your home, I know it can't be undone. Same with shooting the Emperor. But that doesn't mean that you should throw your life away. You should be happy that you survived both the Hamel Tragedy and what happened to you with the Emperor. You were given a miracle. And there's no one any of us would dare let it call meaningless."

"That's right." Kurt nodded as he approached and Knee next to Yuri."You made it to safety, and met a wonderful woman who cared for you, and raised you. And then you went to Thors. You met us, Instructor Rean, The Ashen Wolves, The Mario Bros, many friends you made in the Mushroom Kingdom, Fodlan, Smash Bros, Fiore, Remnant, and so many more. Including your Pokemon, who belive in you and still follow you, even now." He said, causing Ash to respond in silent and shock as Kurt grabbed him by the collar. "You really think your entire life was nothing more than setup for the shooting? You damn fool! How dare you act like it was all for nothing?!"

Ash eye widen in surprised as a flashback responded him of his talk with Rean.

"But I refuse to believe all of that suffering was for nothing. And I think you're the same way. You ask me how your presence in the class benefits me, but tha't's not what matters. As long you find meaning in what we're doing... you have a place in Class VII. I just want to be there to help you along. That's all."

"The curse drove you to do one awful thing. But the rest of your life? That was all your own. If you're too stupid to understand that, then feel free to sit here feeling sorry for yourself. But if you're still even the tiniest bit frustrated, if you're angry at whatever it is that used you, then just remember. That same thing is tormenting Instructor Rean right now. Tell me, Ash. Knowing all that, what do you think you need to do?"

"Gh..." Ash let out a grumbled.

"Haha. Well said Kurt." Levi smiled.

"Yeah, this is uncharacteristic for you too." Venti fold his arms with a smile.

"Yeah. Never known you to get your ass kicked and not go for payback." Balthus nodded.

"So then Ash. What will you do for now on?" Constance asked.

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Wind Across the Water)

"Hehehe, damn, you guys really don't let up." Ash responded as Kurt let him go. "It's like I'm drownin' in friggin' sap here. Guess that pain in the ass Instructor of ours really rubbed off on ya, huh?"

"I suppose he has." Kurt replied.

"But you can't deny he's had an influence on you too, Ash." Juna added.

"That's right." Altina agreed. "The fact that you came here means you're just as sentimental as the rest of us."

"Hehe, you got me there." Ash replied. "I coulda gone back to Raquel, but I decided to mope around here instead."

"Right?" Juna smiled

"Well either way, you'd be at home." Venti smiled

"Lemme make just one thing clear though. It wasn't your little pep talk that brought me around. You reminded me, that I've got a score to settle with that damn curse." Ash declared as he palm fist.

"That sounds more like you, Ash." Altina said.

"Welcome back my friend!" Venti smiled

(BGM ended)

"Now then." Levi turn around. "I know you're all hiding out there. Come out!"

Suddenly,everyone heard someone laughing from close by.

"What a heartwarming coming-of-age drama!"

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Constraint)

Then, a group of red solders appeared out of nowhere and black jaguar-like military monsters surrounded the group.

"What the heck? Jaegers?!" Venti exclaimed.

"I knew I'd find you in the end, Ash Carbide." Another soldier answered as he stood away from us. "And to have caught your Class VII and your other friends with you? I couldn't have planned it more perfectly."

"The hell are you supposed to be?" Ash growled

"And what do you want with Class VII?!" Kurt asked.

"Heh heh heh, allow me to introduce myself then." He then removed his helmet to show his face. "I am the commander of the 6th Enhanced Jaeger Regiment! The one and only, Gilbert Stein! After overcoming years of hellish training, now... I'm finally gracing your empire with my presence!"

"Someone acting all high horse." Hapi said, sounding unimpressed.

"So we're dealing with Ouroboros combat unit?" Levi asked

"I remember them from the database. They were involved in the incident in Liberl." Altina told the others.

"Uh really?" Juna asked. "He looks pretty useless to me."

"Yeah I got that same vibe as well. He look like some kid with little experience place in command by a parent if you ask me." Balthus nodded

"Oh that's a burn!" Venti laughed

"E-EXCUSE ME!? Hmph! Nothing but the useless words of a useless brute." Gilbert responded.

Levi let out a smirked. "Using the same word over and over? Did you skip ahead of vocabulary school as a kid?"

"Heh, nice." Ash grinned.

"You be quiet, angel boy!" Gilbert replied.

"Hmm?" Levi gave him a glare.

"That's right. I already know about you. But right now, my interest is in the would-be imperial assassin!"

"And what you want with Ash, little boy." Yuri asked.

"L-Little boy!? You got guts saying that to me, pretty boy!"

"Just answer the question before things get ugly for you."

"H-Hmph! There are certain..individuals who would rather not have you wandering about willy-nilly. Now, I suggest you all lay down your weapons and surrender before things get ugly."

"Heh, know what? Maybe I will..." Ash replied, causing a surprise reaction for the group, but it seems Kurt, Levi, Venti, Yuri, and Alsin notice something the others haven't. "But on one condition. You let everyone else go. They've got nothing to do with this."

"What are you saying, Ash?! We're a team remember!" Juna yelled.

"Aww, who'd have thought the assassin would be so devoted to his friends?" Gilbert remarked. "As it so happens, my flawless skills are only matched by my boundless generosity. They can go. All right, Ash Carbide. Put your hands in the air and walk over here, slowly."

"Um... Commander..." One of the Enhanced Jaegers told to him.

"Are you sure about that? It goes against our orders."

"Heh. Don't worry your pretty little head about it." Gilbert grinned. "Listen, I already upset Angel Boy there and I'd rather avoid fighting him." He whispered to the ground.

The Enhanced Jaegers sweatdrop.

"Ah... I see..."

"That's very much like you commander."

"All right, Ash Carbine. Put your hands in the air and walk over here, slowly." Gilbert place his gun over his shoulder with a grin on his face.

"Got it." Ash is walking to Gilbert. But then he duck

"NOW!" Ash shout

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Sword of Biting Gale)

Levi, Kurt, Yuri, Venti, Alsin and Ash's Pokemon launch their attack that knocks some of the Enhanced Jaegers by surprise as Ash launches his axe trick toward Gilbert's head and knock him onto the ground.

"All right, Let's fall back!" Levi command.

"This terrain isn't to our advantage. We should move to the plaza by the entrance!" Kurt added

"Got it!" Hapi said as they took off from the village.

"Wh-Why you little!" Gilbert got back on his feet. "There's no way I'm letting you get away after that!" He yelled as he and the others got back on their feet and chase after them to the clearing area. "Th-that was a dirty trick!" He complained. "What happened to being the pride of Erebonia?!"

(BGM ended)

"Oh please. Don't you know that on the battlefield, there is no honor?" Yuri rolled his eyes. "And freaken, you made some errors. Some of us aren't even from Erebonia, So those rules don't apply to us."

"What?!"

"You try to act tough, but I could smell you shittin' yourself the moment you saw Levi." Ash said. "Sorry, but I don't got time to waste on trash like you."

"What's more, who in the right mind would give you the position of commander?" Yuri asked. "As Ash pointed out. You're nothing but talk. You're a wimp. You got no presence, no charisma and you definitely don't even have the guts." He said, causing Gilbert to be stabbed by his wounds. Gilbert throw a grenade at the group which Yuri used his Wind Magic to blast it back at Gilbert and explode it on him as he yelled as he was knocked back while the other Enhance Jaegers and Military Monsters rush in to attack the group. Hapi blocked an enhanced Jaeger's swings with her back a few times before she channeled her magic and cast Miasma onto the Jaeger soldier and hit him and then she waved dark magic at him and pushed him back as Alsin kick him in the rip to knock him back before seeing the other Jaeger swing his sword at him, which he block by using parry to tilt the sword to his left to dodge, then he jumped on the Jaeger with his knees, drag him to the ground and slammed him as he let go, as Hapi then cast Hades to knock him into the air. A Jaeger monster jump toward Hapi, but she teleported and then reappeared from behind and blasted him with dark magic as Alsin zoomed and launched several slashes around the military monster and snapped his finger as Ice Magic encased it and exploded on it, knocking it on the floor.

Kurt and Ash swing their weapons as they clash with two Enhance Jaegers as two Military Monsters dash toward to attack them. Still, then Sandile uses Sand Attack onto their eyes as Aron uses Headbutt on its face as the other Military Monster growls at Crocalar as it claw attack him. Still, it blocks with its arms and then used Flamethrower on its face, causing it to knock back and shook his head before it then used Leer to shivered it, lower its defenses. The Military monster then charged with the blades in its mouth but it jumped in the air and then landed on it's back and used Bite, causing it eyes to respond with a cry of agony as it tried to shake. Ash was knocked back by the Enhance Jaeger, only for Kurt to combat linkability Vengance on him next. Ash used his Craft: Deadman's Darts and threw it at him and the nearby Enhanece Jaeger and Military Monster and then Kurt followed up by launching a couple of swings at them. The Enhanced Jaeger then imbued it's weapon with elemental power and unleashed some slash projections before rushing toward them to swing and kick them. But Kurt blocks and dodges at the same time before he flips to his left and then X slashes him and Ash runs up and and swings his guts, knocking him back as he recovers.

Balthus blocked and punched one Enhanced Jaeger at a time before he launched rapid punches on the other Jaeger and upper-punched him, grabbed his leg, and slammed him on the ground as the Military Monster charged at attacking him. Balthus managed to capture the beast as it took two steps back in a power struggle before pushing it off and Constance Cast Aura to smith it as Constance then tilted her body to dodge an Enhance Jager swing and then launched a couple of Swings on Constance as she used her magic to block the attack before created a shockwave to push him back and then she channels magic into her fist and then ran up and then punch him, but he blocks, grabbed Constance's arm to toss her. Constance was slammed into the ground, only for the Enhance Jaeger to be blasted by Constance's magic as she got back on her feet. Constance spotted one of the Enhance Jaegers rushing toward her to swing at her, but she captured the blade with her hands.

"What the-?!" The Jaeger eye widen as Constance smirked.

"Wahaha! Did you think Magic is my only forte?" Constance laughed before she push the blade off of her and then pose a "come at me" gesture.

The Jaeger growled as he swung his Great sword at her as Constance dodged then she rushed to the Jaeger and combo punched his guts to his face. The Jaeger recovered by slamming his sword to the ground as Constance backflipped and charged a sphere of light magic and threw it toward him as he sliced the magic into two and exploded behind him. He ran up to Constance to swing at her fiercely but Constance dodge each attack before she rush in and combo-punched the gut, kick his chin, then kicked his face and blasted Ice Magic on him to knock him away and onto the ground.

Levi clashed with the other Enhance Jaeger as he swirled to block the attack and then clockwise slash the Jaeger who jump to avoid the attack and slammed his sword to the ground, which Levi roll dash to his back, and slashed him to stun him, then Levi slashes through him as Altina flew toward the Jaeger and kick his gut to knock to the ground. The other Jaefer ran toward Claiomh Solaius blocked the attack and then launched swift slashes onto him, pushing him back and Levi dash with a strike, knocking him to the ground as Altina then used her Bomb Magic to launch him into the air and Levi jump and kick him down to the ground.

Juna block and punched the Jaeger while kicking the other one. One of the Jaegers ran toward her but Venti shot at him, rolling him to roll to his left, throwing a grenade at him, but Venti just blew the grenade back at him, knocking the Jaeger back. The Jaeger recovered as Juna ran up and they both slashed at each other she punched the gut, jumped back, ran up, and then spun jumped forward, and punched his head to knock him to the floor. The Other Jaeger swing at Venti as he dodges, then a palm strike the Jaeger, backflip, and shoot his arrow to push him back. The Jaeger launched a slash projection at him as Venti duck and dodged, ran toward the Jaeger, tossed his Bow into the air as a distraction, and then punched the gut, punched the face, kicked the gut to knock him back, his Bow fell right into his hand, charging the Bow and release a large wind orbal arrow and knock the Jaeger back.

Gilbert shoot at Yuri who skillfully repel the bullets as he rushes toward him as Gilbert blocks Yuri's attack with his rifle and then proceeds to kick him. Yuri caught the attack as Gilbert retaliated by using his rifle to hit him. But Yuri duck and then backflip to toss Gilbert's rifle in the air.

"My Rifle!" Gilbert yelled before Yuri launched a slash on his gut. "Gah!" he grunted as he is pushed on his back as Yuri grabbed the rifle and toss it.

"I fought better warriors who wielded a gun." Yuri said as he approached Gilbert as one of the Enhance Jaegers with the rifle began to shoot at Yuri, but he deflected them with his sword and ran up to him to slash him and then kick his face with a spin kick.

The other one began to shoot at him as Yuri also deflected it and then grabbed his Dagger and threw at him, forcing him to dodge as the dagger scratched his helmet as Yuri rush to him and then launch combo slashes on him and then kick his chin to knock him away. Gilbert managed to retrieved his rifle, lock onto Yuri and shoot at him but Yuri deflected the Bullet and ran toward him again at Gilbert then pull out a smoke Bomb and throw it on the ground to cover him as Yuri slash the smoke, then notice a grenege below him which force him to jump back as Yuri notice Gilbert shoot at him. Yuri deflected the bullets.

'So using dirty tactic eh' Yuri thought as he cast Excalibar toward him.

"EEP!" Gilbert shriek as he run to his left to avoid getting caught. "No fair summoning a tornado!"

"This coming from the guy who used a smoke bomb and throw the other Grenede." Yuri rolled his eyes as Yuri grab two daggers and throw them at him as Gilbert dodged the two and then he rush to him.

"Waah Oof!" Gilbert grunted as Yuri pointed his sword at him. "W-Wait! I surrender!" He panicked before he changed into a kneeling bow. "I'm no match for you! Can't we all be friends?" He asked with a dramatic, which Yuri sweatdrop before he noticed Gilbert got a grenade out. "Psych!" He let out a grin and then threw the Greade... which he threw poorly. "Eh?" Then Yuri forwards his hand with a deadpan look and blasted Gilbert with the Grenade with wind magic. "WAAAH!" Then the grenade blasted on him. "YAAGH!" He yelled from the explosion and fell on the ground.

"That was your plan?" Yuri sighed as he shrug. "Pretending to surrender and then throw a grenade at me? You really are pathetic." He said as one of the Enhance Jaeger ran to him for a sneak attack, but Yuri predicted as he block the attack with his sword over his back, then spin slash to knock the Jaeger on his butt, pull a dagger, causing the Jaeger to "meep." throw it at him as he covered the face, but then heard an impale which he uncovered his face and see the dagger was veeeery close to his lower parts, causing him to look shocked and then pass out.

"Uggh... They're... way stronger... Ow..." One of the Enhance Jaegers groaned.

"Ha! This is even barely a warm-up!" Juna smirked.

Rutger launch a swing to blow away the smoke as Ash used Rumbling Smash 2 on them as Kurt launch a powerful swing on Xeno as Balthus used his Combat Art: Flamewhiol Kick on Leo and knock him toward Rutger as Juna was readied to fire bullets at them, but Xeno fire one at her, which force her to block which was a close call.

Zeno rushed toward Constance as Juna fire bullets at him as he deflected them while Venti charge his arrow and release it into the air and remotely control it to rain down on Xeno as he dodged, only to get Headbutt by Aron.

"I can see why you're an ironhead." Xeno told Aron as Sandile used Dig to launch a surprise attack on Leo but he dodged the attack and swing to knock him toward Ash.

"Augh!" Ash grunted but he impale the ground to stood his ground. "Sandile, you okay?!"

"Hell yeah!" Ash yelled as he go into his Hector Hatch and got in to operate it as both Juna and Ash's soldots stood in front of Rutger's Divine Knight.

"You ain't messin' around, are you?" Rutger asked. "All right then, guess I'm done playin' with you kids. Let's see how much good those things do you against Zector!"

"Don't start cryin' when we beat your ass!" Ash remark. "Let's go, Juna!

"Yeah! We won't lose! Not a chance!" Juna nodded

Rutger's Divine Knight - Zector

Ash and Juna Soldots lung toward Zector as he block both attacks and then launches them back with a powerful swing. Both of them recovered as Ash jump up and slamed the ground as Zector jump back to avoid the attack but Juna fire bullets to struck him. Ash grabbed the leg to drag Zector down and slammed him. Zector recovered by kicking Ash's soldots back and got back on its feet. Zector launch a powerful swing onto Ash's soldots as Juna's Soldot rush in and launch some powerful swings to push Zector back. Ash's Soldot's second conductor was Venti as he used Wind Chain which buffed Ash and Juna's Soldots, swirling his axe and launch a blazing swing on Zector, taking strong damage.

Zector recovered and then swirl his Buster Glaive and then shoot several bullets onto them and then he jump into the air and impale the ground to create a power rise onto them. Then his Bulter Glaive charge with electricity and slam to the ground to shock the two Panzer Soldots. As both takened damage, Zector readied for the next attack, but then Ash's Soldot interrupt the attack by using Rumbing Smash as Juna's Soldot's gunbreakers charge with electricity and swing strike on Zector. Juna's Second Contraction was Kurt as Blade Dance Empower Juna's soldot to launch punches onto Zector. Zector retaliate by launching a powerful swing at them, but both Juna and Ash's Soldats block then attach and counter at the same time, before Zector block and then push them back and then launch a powerful swing to push both back further.

"Ngh... Ash, you okay?" Juna asked

"Heh. Who do you think you're talkin' too? This guy ain't shi-ngh!" Ash grumbled.

"Oh no... even with their soldots, they still don't stand a chance!" Venti muttered until Levi spotted something from Zector's weapon.

"No. Look again." Levi said as they turn to Zector's weapon and a small crack was sighted.

"Oh?" Rutger mused.

"No freakin' way! Look at the boss's weapon." Xeno pointed out.

Leo hummed. "Putting a crack in a weapon forged from Zemurian ore is no easy feat."

"An excellent diversion, Zephyr." Gilbert said as he and his group gain reinforcements to surround Kurt, Altina, Venti, and the Ashen Wolves. "And what a treat to witness a legendary Divine Knight in action. You two in the Soldats! Surrender now, if you value your friend's lives."

"That was your plan? Really?" Yuri raised an eyebrow. "Hapi."

Hapi took out her ring and let out a sigh.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Sword of Biting Gale)

Suddenly two Demonic Beast Wolves appeared out of nowhere unleashing a howl.

"What the?!" One of them exclaimed and the two wolves launched a powerful claw attack and knocked away the Enhanced Jaegers and their Military Monsters away. "GWAAAH!"

"W-What in the world?! Where did they come from?!" Gilbert exclaimed until Yuri reappeared behind him with a blade on his neck. "EEEEK!"

"You truly a pathetic man." Yuri scoffed. "I understand using cowardly tactics, but everything about you is an insult. You didn't think I've noticed your reinforcements just now? We were already prepared for situations like this."

"W-Who in the world are you guys?! Since when can you summon giant monsters?!"

"As if we'll answer any of those things. You're a disgrace to the term Jaeger. You're more of a brute or at least a bandit." Constance cross her arm. "Arrogance is your downfall. Honestly, there is no hope for a man like you."

"Seriously pal. You don't put up a good fight. You guys got enhanced by technology which is pathetic. If you were really warriors, then you should have some experience in a fight." Bathus agreed.

"Thank you boys. You can take off now." Hapi told the wolves who then vanished.

"Okay, is anyone else mind blown by our Ashen Wolves here?" Levi asked.

"Seriously. I have way too many questions now." Juna said.

"Well I guess you don't need help after all." A familiar voice said as they turn and see Sara, Elliot, Fie, Annette, Shez, Kazuha, Erza Scarlet, Ragna, Jin, Ares, and Ryker among them.

"Well look who join the party." Levi smirked.

"Sara! Elliot, Fie, Annette!" Juna cheered.

"Even Shez, Kazuha, Erza, Ragna, Jin and Ares is here!" Venti said. "But who's the other guy."

"Ah, so these are your other friends huh? Quite the interesting group." Ryker said.

"Hehe, I know right? Hi everyone, it's been awhile." Ares smiled.

"What are you doing here?" Kurt asked. "Weren't you all the way over in-"

"We found out all we could about the singularity in Kreuzen." Elliot answered. "So we decided to cut through Legram and catch up with you."

"We met up with Kazuha and Shez who was in the Empire investigating. Ares and this guy named Ryker were also doing the same thing." Annette added.

"Leo, Xeno, it's been a while." Fie said to them. "You too, Boss. Shame I can't see your face."

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - In the Darkness of Ignorance)

"Well, it has been only a month or so, I haven't changed all that much." Rutger replied. "I was worried that little incident might've broken ya, but ya sure don't look broken to me."

"It's mostly a front, same as Ash. But this is no time to look weak, especially when everyone needs me. There's absolutely no way I'd ever give up on Rean. Or on all our futures!" Fie told him.

"Fie..." Leo said

Xeno let out a sigh with a smile. "Our girl's really coming into her own."

"Haha. That's the greatest happiness a father can ask for. Anyway, it's about time we pulled back. Nice little bonus seein' ya again though." Ruger said as Zector begin to levitate into the air. "So long, Fie. We'll meet again soon enough, everyone. But don't you dare get cocky. Next time we meet, it'll be war. Kill or be killed. Got it?" He said as he took off with Xeno and Leo followed him and disappeared into the forest.

"Boss..." Fie sighed.

"Well he certainly know how to be dramatic." Ragna comment before turning to Gilber and his Enhance Jaegers. "Anyway, looks like we got a couple of trashes. I think it's time we put them where they belong in the trash bin. If you know what I mean?" He glared at Gilbert.

"EEEK!" Gilbert shivered.

"Hold it brother." Jin told him. "He's without question a painful existence to even look at. But he got some information that we may need. Once we tormented him of every scrap of info, then we can kill him, found fair?"

"Fine by me."

"W-Wait! You're not actually planning on killing me?!" Gilbert lost his color.

"You brought this upon yourself."

"Hohoho! Now now, there's no reason to spill blood." A voice said, causing everyone's attention to be on alert as suddenly something was launch toward Yuri that forced him to release Gilbert from him by jumping back and blasting Gilbert away.

"WAA-OOF!" Gilbert grunted as a beam appeared out of nowhere, trapping him and the Enhance Jaegers. "Whaa-?! What's going on?!"

Then a figure riding a hoverpod reveal himself in the air.

"Hohoho! It has been awhile, Old Class VII." Eggman said.

"You're...!" Elliot gasped.

"Huh? Who did this fatass come from?" Ash asked.

"It can't be... Aren't you Dr. Eggman?" Sara asked.

"Dr. Who?" Juna asked.

"Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Also known as Dr. Eggman. I read about him in a file when Millium went to Outer Space with the Old Class VII two years ago when Bowser plans to conjure the universe with him." Altina said. "He's an infamous scientist from Sonic the Hedgehog's world who plans to take over the world to build his "Eggman Empire". He is renown for his HQ of over 300 and highly advanced technology." Altina explains.

"Say whaaaat?!" Juna yelled

"Did you say his IQ is over freakin' 300?!" Ash yelled.

"That's impossible... no one in the world possesses that number of intelligence!" Kurt exclaimed.

"Hahahaha! That's rather naive of you, Vander Boy. You know so little about what's outside the world. Let alone, face with a genius like me." Eggman smirked.

"And yet a genius who keeps getting his ass kicked by a hedgehog." Sara shot at him.

"Grrr!"

"Still, regardless, Dr. Eggman is an extremely dangerous man." Elliot said. "Back then, his technology surpassed Ouroboros technology two years ago."

"Say what?!" Juna eye widen.

"That's right. Before Ouroboros upgraded their technology two years ago, my genius creations could not be matched by all. But even two years have passed, their technology still couldn't keep up with mine." Eggman smirked "Did you think my technology wasn't the only one upgraded? Surely you jest. I have been a busy bird. And some members of Ouroboros even got the guts to steal some of my inventions. Ha! I won't make the same mistake twice. So I got even with them."

"I'm not sure what you mean by that, but why are you here in Erebonia?" Levi asked before he gasped. "Wait... don't tell me... You're with Osborne, aren't you?"

"That's correct." Eggman answered, causing shock to the others. "Chancellor Osborne and his associates, Black Alberich through Organization XIII approached me to join them with their Great Twilight project and Operation Jormungandr. In return for joining them, they will help build my Eggman Empire. Of course, the offer was far too good to be sure. They just require my assistance. Regardless, I did approve of helping them, for now." He smirked. "As for why I show myself to you all, it's because of these fools before you." He turn his gaze to Ouroboross Enhance Jaegers.

"Wait... does that mean you're here to rescue us?" Gilbert asked with relief. "Oh thank you, Dr. Robotic!"

"Who said about rescuing you?"

"Eh?" Gilbert's eye widen before the beam exploded on him. "WAAAAGH!" Then dropped him on the ground. "Oooh... what was that for...?"

"For your impudence. I was the one who found them first and came up with this plan. And yet you claim it was your idea? I'm quite offended. I'm only here to put you in your place boy. Now that you screw everything up, I suggest you leave before things get ugly for you."

Gilbert gulped. "R-Right!" He turn to the party. "C-Consider yourself lucky, Class VII and friends. I will grant you a temp-" Gilbert was cut off when a dagger cut his cheek. "EEK!" He fell on his butt.

"How about considering yourself lucky, you overconfident loser? Get lost before my blade cuts you down." Yuri said as he threaten him.

"Grrrr...!" Gilbert got back on his feet. "I-I swear I'll get you for this!" He yelled as he and his Enhance Jaegers took off as sighted from a distance, they boarded their airshep and fled as Tatiana, Kairi and Pablo join the group afterward with their Pokemon.

"What an incompetent fool. I wonder why Ouroboros has him among his rank." Eggman wondered. "In any event. I already have all that I know about this place. It won't be long until the next phrase begin."

"What next phrase are you talking about?" Fie asked

"You'll find out soon enough. Until then everyone. We'll meet again very soon." Eggman said as he took off. "HAHAHAHA!" His laugh then faded away.

"Tch. So they even recruited someone like him?" Levi sighed. "Things have gotten worse with him around."

"Yeah. We better be careful with him and whatever inventions he has up his sleeves." Sara agreed.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Things to Tell You)

"Ash!" Tatiana approaches him. "Oh, I'm so glad you're right! I... I don't know what i'd have done if-"

"C'mon, don't cry about it." Ash sighed as he smiled and gave Tatiana a pat on her shoulder.

"Aww, look at you trying to be nice even with the tough act." Juna smirked.

"This must be what they call 'love'." Altina mused.

"Oh lala~" Constance giggled

"H-Huh?" Tatiana blushed

"Butt out, you three!" Ash glared at them.

"Some guys have all the luck..." Pablo groaned.

"Seriosuly." Balthus sighed.

"Sidney'd be so jealous if he was here to see this." Kairi added.

"Hehe, no kidding." Venti chuckled.

"Well they have been apart for a long time, after all." Fie nodded.

I've got to hand it to you, Ash, you've changed. For the better, of course." Sara replied with a smile.

Kurt nodded."Yes, as if a weight's been lifted from your heart."

"Indeed. We're quite proud of you Ash. What's more. It's good to have you back." Yuri said with a smile. "Now that we got Ash, back. It takes the load off our minds. Juna. The singularity?"

"Oh, right! I almost forgot." Juna sweatdrop. "Rose's pendulam started reacting when we first got here."

"Good grief. I know you must be happy to have found your companions, but try not to lose sight of our main objective." Roselia appeared before them in an Astral Projection.

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Behind the Lore)

"It took some time, but I finally got a good enough grasp on the spirit veins to project my image to you. Why is this operation taking so long? So please be so good as to secure the singularity."

"S-So this really is the place?!" Juna asked

"Yeah, no doubt it." Elliot replied. "We found one at the Lunaria Nature Park in Kreuzen, too."

"There was a ton of black Pleroma Grass growing there, just like there is here." Fie said.

"As well as a place called the Garrelia Byroad. There were tons of black Pleroma Grass there." Annette nodded.

"And some place called Aurochs Canyon too. There were tons of them hiding behind some hidden areas." Ragna added.

"I can only speculate it's because of the irregularities in the Spirit Veins." Palutena said.

"We can talk about that later! Just place that thing on the ground already." Viridi complained

"R-Right." Juna nodded

"Okay, Juna. All yours." Levi said

Juna got the stake out and stabbed it into the ground, a big light shone from it. Within Roselia's map, a spot was located along with Viridi and Palutena's world map on Erebonia as they nodded.

"Looks like the ritual was successful." Roselia said. "The four singularity has been resolved."

"All right! Looks like our part in Sutherland is done." Levi nodded

"Right. It'll be a big step towards finding Instructor Rean." Altina nodded

"You did well, too, Levi." Kurt smiled. "I suggest we head back to Eryn Village to plan our next move."

"Good idea." Levi nodded. "We have two Panzer Soldiers now."

"Oh that's right. Roselia told us you found the Panzer Soldots. In that case, I'll bring you and back to the Hexen Clan's location." Palutena said.

"Oh yeah, you did that a lot back with the situation with Grima." Juna said. "You gods are quite amazing."

"Agreed. Pablo, Tatiana, Kairi can join us as well." Kurt agreed.

"Thank you, but I think we'll pass." Kairi said, causing them to shift their attention.

"Huh? Why?" Ares asked.

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Wind Across the Water)

"Well, we still have things to investigate in Sutherland. So we're sorry we have to part ways so soon." Tatiana answered

"Aye, lucky, we can still contact each other through our ARCUSes." Pablo nodded "We'll leave Instructor Rean and the secret side of things tae you lot for now."

"Damn, when did you guys get so reliable, huh?" Ash asked

"But are you sure?" Veti asked in concern

"I do not feel comfortable leaving just you three here behind." Altina added

"Don't worry. We'll be fine. Count on it." Kairi smiled

"All right. Still, thank you all so much for everything." Levi smiled

"In that case, we'll see you guys around." Hapi smiled.

"Stay in touch! Let us know if you find anything." Juna said

"Of course. You guys take care of yourselves, too." Tatiana nodded

Palutena used her heavenly light onto the group and teleported them away back to Eyrn Village, they were greeted by Roselia and the villagers and welcome with a hearty meal and open arms.

And so that's the end of Sutherland. Now that Ash and his Pokemon are back, things have taken a new turn!
