"last time on Ash's pokemon Harem Journey our heroes had just entered the Viridian Forest where Ash had captured a Caterpie which frightened Misty who was afraid of Bug pokemon suddenly they discovered a shocking surprise as they encountered an injured Shiny Salazzle apparently she had abandoned her old Trainer who she had deemed unworthy and wondered into the Forest in search of a Trainer more suited to her taste and was attacked by a Swarm of Beedrill luckily for her she was found by our heroes who treated her injuries the next morning Ash had just captured a Pidgeotto when Team Rocket appeared to steal their Pokemon luckily Ash's Caterpie defeated them and in doing so evolved into Metapod before they could continue through the Forest the Salazzle from earlier hugged Ash from behind and requested he captured her as she deemed him worthy of being her Trainer with three new Pokemon on hand our heroes continue their trek through the Forest."

Our heroes continue their Journey through the Forest as they enjoy the peaceful noises of the Forest when suddenly a scream was heard.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Misty screamed.

"What's wrong now?" Ash questioned.

" I think I saw another bug! Gross!" She yelled in fright.

The boys turn their attention to where she was pointing to see a worm-like Pokemon who's skin was light brown with a needle on top of its head.

"Oh cool a Weedle!" Ash exclaimed excitedly before pulling out his Pokedex.

Weedle. The stinger on its head guarantees that any attacker will get the point right where it hurts.

"A stinger, huh? Now there's a challenge." He said with a smile.

"Why are you excited about a bug with a stingers? Make it go away!" Misty demanded in fear.

"No way! It'd go against my duty as a Pokemon Trainer to not at least try to catch it." Ash said.

"He's right Misty it's a good opportunity to get more battle experience." Cody said whilst leaning on a Tree.

Thanks Cody hey Pikachu want to sit this one out?" Ash questioned.

"Pika Pika." Pikachu said with a nod.

"Alright then be careful Ash and good luck." Cody said.

"You two need to get your heads examined." Misty deadpanned before noticing the Weedle trying to crawl up her leg causing her to scream.

"AHHH! Don't just stand there, catch it!" She screamed as she ran deeper into the Forest.

"Have no fear, Ash is here. Pidgeotto, I choose you!" Ash said calling out his flying type Pokemon.

"Smart flying types have an advantage against bug types." Cody complimented.

"Thanks now Pidgeotto use gust!" Ash commanded

Obeying her Trainer Pidgeotto started flapping her wings rapidly causing a huge blast of wind to appear and hit the little Bug type sending it flying.

"Alright that's the way to do it!" Ash cheered.

Meanwhile with Misty.

"This whole forest is crawling with slimy, disgusting Pokemon. I wish they'd all just bug off!" Misty complained not noticing a figure approach her until she heard a shout from behind her.

"HIIIIII-YAAAAA!" The figure said whilst swinging a sword at her causing her to fall flat on her butt with the figures sword pointed at her she looks up to see to see a boy who wore samurai armor and in his hands was a katana he was currently pointing at her.

"Greetings, oh shrieking maiden. Are you by chance the Pokemon trainer that comes from Pallet?" The boy questioned .

"N-no I'm from Cerulean City" Misty answered nervously.

"Alas, my search continues." The boy said as he put his sword away " I advise you to refrain from further shrieking while passing through this forest, unless your goal is to attract a horde of Beedrill." The boy said before taking his leave.

"What a weird kid! I wonder why he'd be looking for a Pokemon trainer from... (gasp) That's Ash and Cody!" Misty realized before she rushed back to where she left her two friends.

Back with Ash and Cody.

As the battle between Ash's Pidgeotto and Weddle continue we see the Bug jump at Pidgeotto while pointing it's stinger at her.

"Pidgeotto, watch out for it's Poison Sting!" Ash shouted in worry.

Hearing her Trainer the little bird swerved to the side avoiding the Weedle's poison sting causing it to smack into a Tree effectively knocking it out.

"HA! Nice work! Okay, here we go. Weedle, I've got you now!" Ash said pulling out a Pokeball but before he could throw it a voice called out.

"Greetings. Am I addressing the Pokemon trainer who comes from Pallet?" The voice questioned.

"We're Pokemon trainers from Pallet, but we're a little busy." Ash answered while keeping an eye on Weedle.

"I have found you at last!" The figure said said as pulling him sword out of its sheath this action did not go unnoticed by Cody.

"Uh-oh! ASH LOOK OUT!" Cody said.

But before the figure could swing his sword one of Ash's Pokeballs opened up surprising everyone as the Pokeballs occupant tackled the figure to the ground Ash turned to see his Salazzle who had burst out of her Pokeball growling at a boy who was pinned under her as she was joined with Pidgeotto who was glaring at the boy.

"Well that was unexpected." Cody said in surprise.

"Who are you? And why are you swinging a sword around?" Ash questioned.

"W-wait I meant no harm I Just wanted to challenge you." The boy said in fear.

After a moment Ash motioned for Salazzle to get off the boy although reluctant she obeyed removing herself from the boy before returning to Ash's side as she wrapped her arms around his neck before pressing herself into Ash's body.

"Wow Ash Salazzle really seems to like you." Misty said as she entered the area.

"Yeah I guess she does." Ash said as Salazzle lightly nuzzle him while letting out what sounds like a purr as she did this Pidgeotto landed on a branch while giving the poison and fire type a glare of jealousy which went unnoticed by everyone.

"I am samurai and I have come to challenge you Trainer from Pallet to a Pokemon battle." The boy now known as Samurai explained.

"You know you could've just challenged Ash without pulling a sword on him." Cody said making Samurai sheepishly rub the back of his neck at Cody's remark before Ash's eyes widened in realization.

"Oh no I forgot about Weedle!" He said turning to where the Bug type was only to find it gone "darn it got away." Ash said in disappointment.

"What kind of Trainer lets a Pokemon escape what a novice." Samurai said insulting Ash.

"Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you the reason why Weedle escaped?" Cody questioned not amused with Samurai's gloating.

"What are you talking about?" Samurai questioned unsure of what Cody meant.

"What I mean is if you hadn't distracted him Weedle wouldn't have ran off and Ash would have caught it so logically speaking you're the novice." Cody explained getting a chuckle out of his friends.

"Well whatever let's get this battle underway!" Samurai said pulling out a Pokeball getting a grin from Ash.

"Alright then let's do it!" Ash said as Pidgeotto landed on his outstretched arm "hey Pidgeotto hey about you rest up you deserve it." He said while returning the little bird to her Pokeball before turning his attention back to Samurai "alright I'm ready when you are Samurai!" He said getting into a battle stance.

" Pinsir, assume battle mode!" Samurai called out as he released a new Bug type Pokemon that was brown in color and had large horns on its head.

"A Pinsir huh." Ash commented as he pulled out his Pokedex.

Pinsir, This fearsome Pokemon uses its powerful claws to put the squeeze on its opponents.

"Alright then go Metapod!" Ash said calling out his recently evolved pokemon.

"Watch and weep as Pinsir crushes your Metapod in half!" Samurai said as Pinsir grunts in agreement.

"Ash, call off Metapod. Not even a bug deserves this." Misty screamed in worry.

"Relax Misty Ash knows what he's doing." Cody said confusing the red head.

"This match is already won" Samurai said confidently as Pinsir charged at Metapod claws at the ready.

"Metapod, Harden, now!" Ash commanded as Metapod's began to shine as its defense rose.

As Pinsir gets closer it grabs Metapod in its claws and attempted to crush it only to have the spikes on said claws to break off.

"Nice Ash's plan worked." Cody said.

"Oh no Pinsir, return!." Samurai said as recalled the injured Bug type "Clever, quite clever." He complimented as he pulled out another Pokeball "Pokeball, go!" He said as he threw the Pokeball and out came his own Metapod.

"So he has a Metapod too this could be bad." Cody said.

"Alright Metapod retur-" Ash was about to recall his when a buzzing was heard.

"Uh-oh that's not a good sound." Cody said in worry as they turn to see a Swarm of familiar Pokemon.

"The Beedrill have found us our match must end Metapod return!" Samurai said recalling his Metapod.

"This isn't good there must be 50 of them." Ash said as Pikachu growled at the swarm.

" The Weedle that got away from you has informed the rest of its kind! Good day!" The samurai said before running away.

COME ON LET'S GO!" Cody said while grabbing Riolu but before they could escape a Beedrill flys in and grabs Metapod.

"Oh no Metapod return!" Ash said as he tried to recall Metapod to its Pokeball only for the Beedrill to dodge the beams and escape.

"No Metapod." Ash said in dismay.

"Come on ASH we have to run!" Misty said grabbing his arm before she began to run.

"But Metapod." Ash said in worry as they ran.

"We'll come back for him Ash but we have to get out of here!" Cody said as they ran from the swarm.

As they ran Cody noticed a bunch of bushes nearby "quick behind those bushes!" He said as they hid behind the bushes.

"I see you had the same idea." The Samurai said as he had hid in the bushes as well.

"Yeah that was close." Ash said as Cody noticed something in front of him.

"Uh guys we have a problem." Cody said pointing at the Trees.

They turned to the direction of where he was pointing at to see what looked like a group of cocoon-like Pokemon that had yellowish gold shells and where sticking to the Trees.

"A whole hive of Kakunas." Samurai said nervously as Ash pulled out his Pokedex.

Kakuna. A transitional stage between Weedle and Beedrill. Kakuna remain inactive until they evolve into deadly Beedrill and hatch.

"That's not good." Cody said as Ash noticed his Metapod sitting at the Trunk of the Tree.

"Hey it's Metapod." Ash said as he attempted to reach for his Metapod only for Misty to pull him back.

"Are you crazy any movement and they'll see us!" Misty yelled inadvertently catching the Kakuna's attention.

"Uh Misty did you seriously just forget that they can hear you too." Cody Deadpanned as the Kakuna started glowing.

"Oh no they're evolving!" Ash said in worry as the Kakuna evolved into Beedrill and turned their attention to the group.

"oh no let's get out of here!" Cody said as they rushed out of the bushes.

"How long can we keep running?" Misty questioned in a panic.

"My cabin! I think we can make it!" Samurai said as he pointed towards a building.

"Sounds good to me!" Cody said as they rushed towards the cabin.

As they run into the Cabin Samurai slams the door shut narrowly avoiding a Beedrill stinger that pierced the door.

"That was way too close." Cody said as he let out a sigh of relief.

"Yeah but Metapod is still out there." Ash said in worry as Samurai took off his helmet.

"I hope you've learned your lesson, novice! You letting that Weedle escape nearly cost our lives." Samurai said insulting Ash.

Take back that novice crack!" Ash demanded in anger.

"I do take it back, because not even a novice would abandon his own Pokemon as you did." Samurai said before feeling someone grab him and slam him into a wall.

"Alright that's it I've had enough of your nonsense especially since it's your fault Metapod got kidnapped!" Cody said in rage surprising everyone except Ash.

"My fault!? What do you mean it's my fault!?" Samurai questioned fearfully.

"Simple that Weedle you're talking about only got away because you showed up while Ash was in the process of catching it if you hadn't distracted him the Weedle wouldn't have gotten away, it wouldn't have warned the swarm, and the swarm wouldn't have attacked us and kidnapped Metapod our lives were in danger before of you so think about your own actions before insulting my friend!" Cody yelled as he let go of the Samurai letting him fall to the ground while Ash went to calm Cody down.

"Wow I didn't see that coming." Misty said surprised at Cody's outburst.

"I will say this you at least were a better challenge than the last three Trainers from Pallet.

"So you battled Gary and the others huh?" Cody said finally calming down.

"Yes and while two of them were humble opponents the one in the blue shirt was much too arrogant for his own good." Samurai explained.

"Yeah that definitely sounds like Gary." Ash said.

Later that night Ash laid in his sleeping bag unable to sleep as he continued to worry about Metapod.

"Ash you alright?" Cody questioned seeing the look on Ash's face.

"Oh yeah I'm fine I'm just worried about Metapod." Ash explained.

"Don't worry Ash we'll get him back that's a promise." Cody said getting a smile from Ash.

"Right we will get him back." Ash said before they went to sleep.

The next morning.

We find Ash and Cody near the Tree that they last saw Metapod at hoping to rescue him the woke up early to go get him back.

"Alright there's the Tree if we're lucky we'll get Metapod and be gone before the swarm even notices us so move quietly." Cody said.

"Right let's go." Ash said as they crawled towards the Tree praying that the Beedrill don't find them but before they reached the Tree a familiar voice calls out.

"Do you know what Meowth's favorite game is?" Meowth said as he landed on Ash's head.

"No but want to know my favorite game is?" Cody questioned as he grabbed Meowth's tail "it's called Chuck the chump!" He said before tossing Meowth into a Tree.

"Guess who?!" James shouted.

"Not them again." Ash whispered annoyed at their unwanted appearance.

(Skipping their motto.)

"Shut up the Beedrill will hear you." Ash said pleading them to quiet down.

"Alright Little boys, why don't you give us your Pikachu and little dog? There's no use trying to resist us, so be smart and hand over the Pokemon!" Jessie demanded.

"We don't have Pikachu and Riolu with us, and even if We did, we'd never let you take them!" Ash said as they ran off.

"Come back here!" Team Rocket demanded as they gave chase.

As they ran Cody had noticed that the Beedrill swarm had heard the commotion and were heading their way.

"Ash get down the swarm will pass us and dive at Team Rocket!" Cody said getting a nod from Ash before taking cover in the tall grass causing the Beedrill to fly passed them and towards Team Rocket.

"Alright let's go get Metapod before they see us!" Ash said as they head for the Tree and laying there was Metapod.

"Hey Metapod sorry for taking so long to get you let's get out of here." Ash said as he picked up Metapod before running away with Cody following him.

As they ran Cody looks behind him to see a bunch of Beedrill chasing after them.

"Ash they're gaining on us we need to hurry out of here." Cody said as they picked up their pace however in their haste Ash ended up tripping over a branch causing him to fall to the ground and drop Metapod in the process.

"Ash, Cody!" Misty as she Pikachu, Riolu, and Samurai arrived on the scene underneath a giant net.

"Watch out for the Twin Needle attack!" Samurai warned as a Beedrill charged at Ash stingers poised to strike suddenly before Beedrill could reach Ash Metapod jumped in front of Ash taking the hit which cracked his shell.

"Oh no Metapod are you okay!" Ash asked catching Metapod as more Beedrill charged at them sure suddenly a bright light appeared from the crack in Metapod's shell.

"Wow Metapod is evolving!" Cody said as the light dimmed and in Metapods place was a Butterfly-like Pokemon with a purple body and white wings.

"Wow Butterfree that's amazing." Ash said before noticing more Beedrill approaching "Alright Butterfree use sleep powder!" Ash commanded.

Obeying his Trainer Butterfree flew over the Beedrill swarm while releasing a blue powder that washed over the swarm causing each Beedrill to fall to the ground fast asleep.

"Alright we did it!" Ash cheered as Butterfree flew around his Trainer cheerfully.

"Great job Ash that was awesome." Cody said before noticing one of the Beedrill nearby and smiled before tossing a Pokeball at it effectively capturing it.

"You were able to handle your Pokemon so well, just after they evolved! Most impressive." Samurai complimented.

After the Beedrill swarm was taken care of Samurai lead them to an open path.

"this path will safely lead you to Pewter City." Samurai said.

"Alright but what about our battle we never got to finish it." Ash said.

"Compared with you, my friend, I am the novice. But I will keep perfecting my technique, and one day, we will meet again." Samurai humbly said.

"And I know it will be an awesome battle." Ash said shaking Samurai's hand before saying their goodbyes and continuing their trek to Pewter City what other surprises await our heroes find out next time as the Journey continues.
