Last time we saw our heroes they had just trekked up to Mt. Moon where they met a man named Seymour who was investigating a possible disturbance in the caves they soon discovered that Team Rocket was responsible for disturbing the Pokemon by setting up lights all throughout the cave in their efforts to steal the Moonstone our heroes however managed to defeat Team Rocket and Ash and Cody even gained new Pokemon Ash catching an Absol and a Sandshrew and Cody getting a Clefairy now our are heading to Cerulean City and the sight of Ash and Cody's next Gym Battle.
We find our heroes heading towards Cerulean City hoping to earn their next badge when Misty stops them.
"Hey! Wait a minute! Where do you think you're going?" She questioned.
"We're going to Cerulean City." Cody said.
"Cerulean City?! What are you going there for?!" Misty questioned.
"Well, it's none of your business, but we're going for more badges." Ash answered.
"Uh, Ash. Cody. You don't want Pokemon from there, trust me." Misty said.
"Why not?" Ash questioned.
"Very scary Ghost Pokemon that look like this." Misty said as she made a scary face.
"Nice face, Misty. Come on, guys." Ash said continuing their trek.
Misty stops them again.
"Hey! Wait! Wait a second! Hey, what about Vermilion City? It's right on the water and there are lots of neat Pokemon, and you can watch all the giant yachts pulling into the harbor, and there's a little park way up on a hill where you can sit and watch the sunset, that's so romantic." She said.
Ash and Cody look at her unimpressed.
"It's much nicer than that old Cerulean City, so let's get going!" Misty said hopefully.
"Sorry Misty but Cerulean City is closer." Cody said.
"Yeah so let's go." Ash said before they continued their walk much to Misty's chagrin.
"Ah! I never wanted to wind up back here!" She said before running after them.
After an hour our heroes had arrived in Cerulean City.
"So this is Cerulean City, eh, guys?" Ash questioned.
"Pretty nice place, isn't it?" Brock questioned.
"Yep." Cody said.
They noticed that Misty wasn't with them.
"Misty's not following us anymore." Ash said.
"Yeah that's weird." Cody said.
"She really didn't want to come to Cerulean City, did she?" Brock questioned.
"I wonder why she hates this place so much." Ash said.
"Not sure." Cody said.
Our heroes notice that a crowd of people gathered around a machine store that the police were searching.
" I wonder what happened." Ash said.
"Let's ask someone." Cody said.
Ash walks up to someone and taps their shoulder getting their attention.
"Excuse me. Do you know what happened here?" Ash questioned.
"Some burglars broke into the store last night." The person said.
"So someone decided to steal from this store I wonder what it was." Cody said.
"What do you know about burglars?" A familiar voice said.
"I know that voice." Cody said.
Walking up to them was a familiar looking police woman.
"You all look very suspicious to me." Officer Jenny said.
"Hey! You're that motorcycle officer from Viridian!" Ash said surprised.
"Huh? Oh! You must have met my sister-in-law. If you know my sister-in-law, that means you all probably have some dealings with the police in Viridian." Jenny said.
"Oh no." Cody said with a facepalm.
"Now, maybe you all stopped to ask her for directions, or maybe you found a wallet on the street and returned it to her, or maybe you're all a gang of criminals who broke out of jail!" Officer Jenny accused pulling out a pair of handcuffs.
"I've never been to jail!" Ash said.
"Neither have I, ma'am!" Brock said.
"Ma'am we just got here and wanted to know what's going on." Cody explained.
"The criminal always returns to the scene of the crime." Jenny said.
"Maybe this will clear things up." Ash said as he and Cody pulled out their Pokedexes.
"Yeah, and I was the leader of the Pewter City gym." Brock said pulling out his Gyms Badge.
"Well, that's evidence enough for me. I'm sorry I was suspicious. Now I'm suspicious of my sister-in-law, she sure has weird tastes in friends." Jenny said.
"I see Officer Jenny just made herself look like a fool again." A voice said behind them.
They turn to see a boy about Cody's age he had short brown hair, brown eyes, and a slight stubble. He wore Blue shirt, green jacket. Green cargo pants. Black on his shoulder was the little Fox Pokemon Eevee.
"Oh Andrew it's good to see you." Jenny greeted.
"Hey Officer Jenny I see you still have your bad habit of jumping to conclusions." The man said causing Jenny to laugh sheepishly.
"Yeah anyway I should go bye." She said before walking back to the crime scene.
"Hey you three I take it you're new here." He guessed.
"Yeah we're here to challenge the Gym here." Ash said gesturing to himself and Cody.
"I see and who are guys?" The man questioned.
"Oh, right my name is Cody and this is Ash." Cody said.
"It's nice to meet you I'm Andrew Stormchaser." The man now known as Andrew said.
"Oh I know you, you were at my Gym." Brock said.
"Oh hey Brock what are you doing here?" Andrew questioned.
"I'm on a journey to become the world's best Pokemon Breeder." Brock answered.
"I see, well I can show you the Gym if you want." Andrew offered.
"Sure that'd be cool of you." Ash said.
Brock turns to them.
"Well, you guys go on ahead I have some stuff I need to check out." Brock said.
"What kind of stuff?" Ash questioned.
"Just stuff. See ya later." Brock said before taking his leave.
"That was weird." Ash said.
"Yeah anyway let's go." Cody said.
After an hour of walking they arrive at the Gym.
"So this is the Gym." Ash said.
"Yep fair warning though they're not your typical Gym Leaders." Andrew said.
"What do you mean by that?" Cody questioned.
Inside the Gym.
"...you've got to be kidding." Cody said.
Instead of seeing the usual Battlefield that Pokemon Gyms are known for they instead see what looks like a water Ballet.
Needless to say our heroes are all sorts of confused.
"What are we looking at right now?" Ash said.
"I warned you, the Gym Leaders have a tendency to goof off and do these shows come on let's go wait until the show is over." Andrew said.
"Alright then." Cody said as he and his friends sat down to watch the show.
The three performers were currently drying off from their show.
"The crowd was totally awesome!" The girl with pink hair said.
"I know, that was so great!" A blue haired
"Daisy, the dive you did was super." The pink haired girl said to a blonde girl.
"The practice really paid off." The Blonde girl now known as Daisy said.
"Totally." The pink haired girl said before all three laughed.
A little confused Ash walks towards them.
"Uh, excuse us." He said.
They turn to them.
"I'm sorry, but if you want an interview, you have to, like, call our manager." The pink haired girl said.
"We're not here for an interview." Cody said.
"We don't do autographs." The pink haired girl said.
"They aren't fans Lilly. Andrew said.
The girls turn to him.
"Oh hey Andrew, what brings you back here?" The pink haired girl now known as Lilly questioned.
"Yeah, you already won our Gym's Badge why did you come back?" Daisy questioned.
"I brought these two here so they can have their battle." Andrew answered.
Andrew turns to Ash and Cody.
"Ash, Cody these are the Gym Leaders the pink haired girl is Lilly, the blue haired girl is Violet, and the blonde girl is Daisy when they're not battling they perform water shows." Andrew explained.
"I see." Cody said.
"Yep, We're the Sensational Sisters." Lilly said.
"Anyway let's have our battle." Ash said.
the girls give them a look.
"Yeah We don't feel much like battling anymore." Daisy said shocking them.
"WHAT!?" Ash and Cody exclaimed.
"We just got beaten twice in a row by kids from this nowhere place called Pallet Town." Violet said.
"Great Gary was here." Cody said.
"We had to, like, practically rush all our Pokemon to the Pokemon Center." Daisy said.
"This is the only one left." Lilly said pulling out a Pokeball and called out a familiar Pokemon.
"A Goldeen." Ash said as Lilly recalled the water-type.
"If only it would evolve into Seaking, we could use it, but all it can do now is its Horn Attack." Violet said.
"So, like, there's no point in battling." Daisy said.
"Now, instead of having matches, we have time to make ourselves look more beautiful then ever." Lilly said.
"Great, just great." Cody said.
"I know what you both want." Daisy said before clapping twice.
"Seel!" She called out.
Out of the Pool came a Seel-like Pokemon.
"Huh, a Seel." Cody said.
The little Water-type gives Daisy a Badge.
"A Cascade Badge. This is what you two want, right? You both can have one." Daisy said.
Ash and Cody stare at her.
"Are you three trying to insult us?" Cody questioned.
"Huh?" The three questioned in confusion.
"Us and our Pokemon worked hard for our match here and your just going to hand us the Badge like it doesn't matter that's a big insult for us as Trainers." Cody said.
"Plus it's against Pokemon League rules for Gym Leaders to hand out Badges to challengers if the League Officials found out that you did this you'd be out of a job." Ash said surprising them.
"HE'S RIGHT!" A familiar voice shouted.
They turn to see Misty standing in the bleachers.
"If you don't want to battle them, I will!" Misty said.
"Battle us?" Ash questioned.
"Hello Misty." Andrew said.
"Oh Andrew it's you." Misty said.
"Wait is Misty seriously a Gym Leader?" Cody said.
"I'm sorry for not telling you before. But now I'm telling you and the others right here and now that I'm a Cerulean City trainer, too. I am the fourth Sensational Sister!" Misty said.
"There are only three Sensational Sisters and one runt." Lilly said.
"Wow that's rude." Cody said.
"Anyway let's do this!" Misty said.
"But there's two challengers." Lilly said.
"I have an idea why not have a tag battle." Cody said.
"Great idea and Misty can lend her sister a Pokemon." Ash said.
"Cool I'll do it." Daisy said.
"Cool let's do this!" Ash said.
All four stand on Battlefield Pokeballs at the ready.
"Misty calls Starmie!" Misty said releasing another Starfish-like Pokemon.
"Staryu let's go!" Daisy said.
"Butterfree, I choose you!" Ash said calling out his Bug-type.
"Spearow Let's do this!" Cody said.
"Starmie use Rapid spin!" Misty said.
"Staryu you use Rapid spin as well!" Daisy said.
Both water-types charge at Ash and Cody's Pokemon while their bodies spinning.
"Quick you two dodge!" Ash and Cody said.
Butterfree and Spearow narrowly avoid the attacks.
"Butterfree use Stun Spore!" Ash said.
Butterfree launches a Brown dust paralyzing the two water-types.
"Oh no, Staryu, Starmie!" The two Gym Leaders shouted.
"Alright now Spearow use Quick Attack!" Cody commanded.
Obeying her trainer Spearow charges at the two Starfish Pokemon leaving a streak of White light behind her before slamming into them knocking them back.
"Staryu please be okay!" Daisy said.
"Starmie you can do it!" Misty said.
Before another command could be given the wall suddenly exploded.
"Who's there?" Ash said.
(Skipping the Motto)
"So you three robbed that shop." Ash said.
"That's right now the Water Pokemon in this Gym Belongs to us." Jessie said.
"I don't think so Butterfree Stun Spore!" Ash said.
Acting quickly Butterfree managed to paralyze Team Rocket.
"Wha!? I can't move!" James said.
"I can't either!" Jessie said.
"Meowth!" Meowth exclaimed.
"Good job Ash now Spearow use Whirlwind!" Cody said.
"Obeying her trainer Spearow flapped her wings hard sending Team Rocket flying.
"LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" They screamed as they flew to the horizon.
"Well, that takes care of that." Cody said.
Later that day.
"Here Ash, Cody you earned these." Daisy said Handing them the Cascade Badges.
"What but what about our Battle!" Misty complained.
"Misty it's clear that they would have beaten us." Daisy said.
"Yeah they clearly had the upper hand." Lilly said causing Misty to pout.
"Hey guys!" Brock called out.
"Hey Brock!" Cody said.
"Hey guys! Wait up!" A voice said behind them.
They turn to see Andrew and Eevee running up to them.
"Oh hey Andrew what's up?" Ash questioned.
"Do you guys mind if I join you on your journey?" Andrew questioned.
"Sure that'd be fun." Ash said happily.
"Awesome then let's hit the Road!" Andrew said.
With their new Badges in hand and a new traveling companion our heroes continue on their way to their Gym Battle tune in next time to find out what awaits our heroes as the journey continues.
