They looked at the entity with surprise and joy. The entity is rewarding them with gifts so magnificent that they feel like they don't deserve them, but they feel ecstatic knowing that they will be gifted them regardless. They call the entity, Unknown because it has no name or title, and that it is not human nor a god of this world.

Unknown told them that it was granting them these gifts because it had watched them from afar and had become quite fond of them, which surprised them. But, their surprise was soon turned into disbelief and anger once they heard that the gifts come with a curse. The One who gets both gifts in one shall experience pain until their dying breath. This means that if one of their descendants has both gifts in their body, they are to experience pain throughout their life until they die.

Despite having the power they were gifted from the entity, they didn't want them anymore. They tried giving the gifts back but the god only said they couldn't take them.

"Why!?"

Unknown only looked at the red-haired individual with dark eyes that showed nothing but a bit of gratitude. They were able to complete a task that even it wasn't able to complete, and that they are thankful for, so that is why they had gifted them the gifts of ice and blood to show their thanks but, it seems that they aren't liking the one condition the gifts come with.

"The gifts have already been in your possession for a day so I am unable to take the gifts back."

The red-haired individual lights up in anger as his family members get angry as well. When they had accepted the gifts, they weren't told of a curse that this power would come with, and now they were supposed to live with the fact that one of their descendants was gonna be in pain until their dying breath. No, they didn't want this for them, but despite that, they can't even give the gifts back. It doesn't even seem like these powers were gifts at all. Just something to remind them of the curse they now put on the descendants that have both ice and blood.

Unknown looked at them with slightly sad eyes, after all, it was their forgetfulness that brought them to this situation. It should have just told them about the curse first before giving them the gifts, but now it was too late. Too late for the gifts to be given back but not too late to help them.

"Since it was my forgetfulness that was the cause of this situation, I'll give you another gift."

"What!? Another gift! What, does this one have a curse that comes along with it as well!?"

A woman with long red hair yelled angrily at the Entity. Her cheeks were covered with a small layer of ice as she boiled with anger and disbelief.

"Trust me, this one does not have a curse because it will be rarely used."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

A man with long red hair in the shape of a braid asked as he crossed his arms with a raised brow.

Unknown closed its eyes and spoke, "This gift gives one the ability to look and see the future and possibly change it, which will give The One, the chance of having a life free of pain that they deserve."

Eyes widened as whispers were heard everywhere,

"The future?"

"Is that true?"

"The One?"

"This gift doesn't have a curse?"

"Didn't it say that it was a rare gift?"

"Yeah, isn't rare?"

The whispers continued for a minute before they were abruptly stopped when a voice spoke,

"The One is a name for the descendant that is born with both Ice and Blood, right?"

"Yes."

"So, about the gift of seeing the future, do you know which of us will be getting it?"

The Entity shook its head and then explained,

"No one here will get the gift because the gift shows up years before The One is born. The future gift is used to help The One so they may grow up with a decent life that is not full of pain."

Everyone whispered and talked amongst each other about what they should do now that they had these powers. That is when the Entity spoke up once again,

"I suggest you all not use your powers for pain but to save since it seems that this world is one to have many wars and negative emotions along with situations. Now with your powers, you can change that."

Everyone thought about it, and they soon nodded in agreement because the world as it is now will soon destroy everything everyone has ever lived for. So, if they can use their powers to help others, then they will gladly do it if it means that the world won't collapse in on itself. With that said, the Entity's time was up.

"My time here is up which means I need to take my leave. I hope with the future decisions you make, this world will become better than it is now. Just like the term 'Try to leave the world just a little better than how you found it'. Remember, I am always watching. Farewell."

And with that, the Entity turned into black dust and faded away into the wind. Now with this situation finally weighing heavy on them, they need to start making plans on how this world can be better than how they found it. And that's what they did. They formed a group that consisted of two Factions. One was for the Families that were able to wield Ice while the other consisted of the ones that could wield Blood. Together, the family helped many people for generations after generations.

Their children and their children after them all worked and expanded the group. And, surprisingly, the future gift and The One, have not been discovered. Despite their ancestors believing in what the entity said about the future gift and The One, their descendants didn't quite believe them as they hadn't had the two come to be yet. Some even thought of it as a myth. But, that is until she was born.
